You observe that three separate frozen beverage machines possess completely blank digital screens and zero mechanical movement. You immediately assume a catastrophic electrical surge has destroyed the internal circuitry of all three expensive machines. You instruct Jessica to place "Out of Order" signs on the entire section. In the Survive phase, your operational perspective must expand from individual equipment to systemic facility infrastructure. When a single commercial machine fails, the primary power cord is the most highly probable point of failure. However, when an entire retail zone, consisting of multiple independent machines, loses electrical power at the exact same physical second, the individual cords are not the problem. The interruption is systemic. The electrical current has been mathematically severed at the primary distribution point, which is the physical circuit breaker panel located in your back utility room.
To prevent extreme financial waste, you must establish a strict supervisory verification protocol. You must explicitly forbid the dispatch of any external repair technician until you have completely audited the physical utility panel.
