Speaker 2:What up, You can mentor audience? Hey. It's your man, Zach, here with a You can mentor update. Don't worry. Everything's fine, guys.
Speaker 2:Everything's fine. I promise. But, hey, I did wanna share with you something that we are gonna start doing for, this next season. So we started the You Can Mentor podcast about four years ago. It was Stephen Murray and I.
Speaker 2:Stephen's the executive director of Forerunner Mentoring up in Dallas. We just had a vision, right, to help faith based mentoring nonprofits collaborate, get equipped with best practices, get encouraged through relationship. We just wanted to hear from people who were doing the thing, right, who were mentoring kids from hard places in the name of Jesus, and it has been amazing. We have met some super cool people. We have learned about some fantastic organizations.
Speaker 2:We have created, books. We've got 264 podcasts. We have the National Christian Mentoring Gathering that's happening in Colorado Springs here in a couple weeks. I mean, there have been some really cool things that have gone on with You Can Mentor. And so if you don't know about any of those things, hop on our website and check out I mean, we've got downloads.
Speaker 2:We've got consulting. We've got coaching. Anything we can do to help you as a mentoring, faith based nonprofit, or ministry thrive, we can help out with. But we have decided to go for this next season at least, kinda test it out, see what's up, more quality over quantity. And so I have really been interested in just finding the the most valuable guests possible.
Speaker 2:And so we've been fortunate enough to get into some really cool spaces and meet some really cool people that are doing some fantastic things. We've gotten in contact with some authors and, some people who have, you know, kind of a kind of a big following. And so, I am going to focus more on those and, kinda change up the rhythm some. John and I are still gonna hop on every once in a while. There's talks of me and Stephen Murray even hopping back on every once in a while.
Speaker 2:But yeah. But if I'm being totally honest with you, we've, I don't wanna say that we have run out of guess. But, yeah, I'm I think we've interviewed almost everyone that we know. And so we we might even go back and try to reinterview people. Hey.
Speaker 2:It's been three or four years years since we've heard from you. What's new? But yeah. But for this next season, we are gonna go to every other week, and we are going to focus in on some people who are kinda experts in their field, experts in their area to try to add some mentoring tools into your tool belt. So, everything's great.
Speaker 2:We are still rocking and rolling, but that is gonna be our focus for the time being. We wanna equip you with best practices, encourage you through relationships, so that you can do ministry for the long haul, because we love you, we're for you, and we believe in what you're doing.
