Welcome to WORDTheatre Weekly: The Short Story
Podcast where great authors and actors meet. I’m your host, Cedering Fox, WORDTheatre’s Founder & Artistic Director.
This year, the Pushcart Prize is celebrating its 50th anniversary of showcasing the best stories poems and essays published by the small presses. We love to celebrate this remarkable publication and, since Earth Day is around the corner, we are pleased to share “Tomorrow’s Bird” a 2002 Pushcart Prize winner by Ian Frazier!. It was performed by John Heard, a WORDTheatre regular, at a WORDTheatre event in Easthampton NY, the Pushcart Prize’s hometown.
Today, you will hear John’s performance of this delightful story. We hope you enjoy it!
