2 Friends Talking About Life
Welcome back to the 2nd segment of the Big Four Goes Global. I'm your host here, Som, here with my 3 cohosts. And today, we're gonna be talking about some of our favorite British Island pop culture things. So I would like to start us off. You know one of my favorite things as a middle schooler or high schooler that I would do, is just go to the South End Starbucks.
A:It's really a huge thing in pop culture. I feel like the QFC area on the South End is just it's just really massive. And, yeah, it's been really good. It's been it's it's treated me very good over the past few years. So, yeah, Justin, you wanna take his way?
A:So, Starbucks in
B:the south end. Definitely, like, that one. I mean, that is just where pop culture began for us. Yeah.
A:A 100%.
B:That's just the peak of middle school. That's what started it all. That's just started everything.
C:Yeah.
B:So what I'm gonna have to go is, like, recently, I gotta say Met Market. Met Market is just Met
A:Market's been
B:on a heater recently. On on a heater, man. I'm just like, the place to study, the place to hang out, the place to go if you're hungry. I I just absolutely love Met Market. Just locking in there is just, like, what an amazing place to be.
B:Love it on Risun, and I love that it's a fine addition. It's like it's like a Whole Foods, but, like, but better.
D:Yeah. But better. Yeah. Yeah.
A:You know, Whole Foods has, like, only its own brand of things. Like, Trader Joe's also only have its own brands of things. But, you know, MedMark is a mix of everything. It has unhealthy food, the healthy food, the expensive food, the cheap food. It just really complete.
A:And that dining area that you can sit around
B:It's just
A:it's exquisite. It's exquisite if you want.
B:So Porter, let me hear you.
C:Okay. I mean, I don't know why we haven't mentioned this yet, but the Islander or middle school, track and field.
D:Track and field. Just a generational hangout.
B:Wow. Wow.
C:Carry out there. Wow. Any grade, anytime. Know it. It's it's the spot to hang out at.
C:I gotta say that.
A:Audi kid porter for the great shout out. So, Andrew, what is your yeah. Is that is that, like, wrap it up?
D:Or No. What?
A:I think not maybe not for this segment, but I think what is it everyone, after hear hearing all our opinions, what do you what's your favorite,
D:Andrew?
B:My opinion wasn't shared.
A:Yeah. So tell tell me your favorite.
D:You know, personally, I'm a huge fan of, that that South End Field Complex and the, like, QFC. They're all within a 5 minute walk of each other. For us members of the country club, it's in the middle. So you got a weight room. Mhmm.
D:You got a weight room. You have a, like, a food location and two full football fields, plus a track, plus Lakers Elementary, but no one really goes over there. But, like, if you want to, you know, it's like a it's like a bonus.
A:Reminisce on old times.
B:Yeah. Bonus extension place.
A:Mhmm. Yeah. Also, quick shout out to the country club sauna. Yeah. That's been a really it's been a pioneer of the game for the past few months.
B:Has. It really has.
A:And it's really like a new all star, I would say. He's he's like, wow. I didn't know about him personally till just a few months ago, but he's really taken over.
B:Yeah. I mean, just change the game generationally. You know? Yeah.
D:You know
B:what I mean?
D:Curry shooting threes, sauna just cooking up. You know? Yeah. Yeah.
A:So, so what's I think the overall winner, even though it was not my pick, I think the overall winner has to be the track and field at IMS. I totally agree.
D:So many hours spent there. So many great memories.
C:Like
A:Yeah. And, I think that about wraps it up for our segment second segment on the big four goes global. So we'll see you
B:back after the music.
