And I just wanna say, I don't know if you guys know who Vikki Downey is, but but this is a good example of how women work together. Vikki Downey is the managing director for the Orange County eWomen chapter, and and Julie's here too. Julie is the managing director for Calabasas e women chapter. This is how women work together.
Wendy:We don't see each other as competition. We show up, and we build each other up, and we help each other build, grow, and scale our profitable businesses, our networks, our circles of influence together instead of just saying, oh, well, yeah, you know, I have my own networking group. And the more the merrier. Right? How this is how we meet people to invite them to our thing.
Wendy:Right? So I I really appreciate Julie's support. Diana Sabatino is managing director of Orange County e women for a for eight years, I think, and also joined Women's Business Link. Or the minute I started. The minute I started, she was like, okay.

Vikki:That's what mean. Yeah. So well, hi, everybody. So great to see you all. Yes.
Vikki:That was such a great introduction. Thank you so much, Wendy. And I just have to stay before I kick off. I was one of the first that joined too. I'm all getting Totally.
Vikki:Totally. Yeah. I was like, yes. I'm in. And that is what's so wonderful about women in networking.
Vikki:We are all about each other, lifting each other as we climb, and it's just a pleasure to be asked to speak today. So thank you for having me. And my topic, yes, is show your face and build your empire. Because I have to say, I didn't wanna show my face on social media either. I am the biggest critic.
Vikki:I think we all are. We're so critical of ourselves. And but everybody's telling us to show up, right, and show our faces, not just our products, not just our logos. Right? And so today, I'm gonna I'm gonna chat with you all about that and how I've overcome.
Vikki:So here's my really cute talk. What if the only thing standing between you and the life you deserve and want with all your heart is your face not being seen. Seriously. After thirteen years with Neora, I've helped so many people, women and men, and that goes for Vaughn too. I can help you, Vaughn, although you have great skin.
Vikki:I can help you all show up boldly, feel great in your skin, and build your business, to change families' lives. And I am going to cover three points today. One is the power of being seen. Number two is you don't need needles or toxins to look and feel amazing. And number three is a confident face equals a confident businesswoman.
Vikki:It's just a fact. So the power being seen. We're living in a digital world, first and foremost. Whether we love it or not, we are now. It's just we've walked into it.
Vikki:If you're Gen X, we we help create it. I'm Gen X. We help create that digital world, so we only have ourselves to blame. My daughter always reminds me as a millennial. But we all wanna grow our brand and build our business and share our mission.
Vikki:Right? You can't hide anymore. You've got to show up boldly if you really wanna take your business to the next level. And people do connect with faces, not logos, as I mentioned before, or not products. Right?
Vikki:They want you. You hear it all the time. But I also hear, gosh. I just don't want my friends to think I'm vain. I don't like I also hear I don't like taking selfies.
Vikki:I don't love how I look anymore. Right? And no matter what age you are, since we are so critical, there's something going on. And, generally, it's kind of a lot of things because as we start to age, it's not just, you know, the crow's feet. But before you know it, you're seeing the pore size, the discoloration, the loose skin.
Vikki:Right? It all happens at once. Thank you, God. We're fighting sun damage, stress. Stress does it to us too for fighting fine lines, thinning hair, even some weight gain.
Vikki:And to be honest, sometimes it's plain exhaustion that we're fighting against. But here's the truth. Confidence starts with showing up. So even even when you're nervous about it, just show up. Let's take away the shame.
Vikki:That's what I'd really love to help us all do. Take away the shame and hesitation that comes with aging. I just turned the big level six. You guys heard, on July 5. So this was a biggie for me, and I struggle big time with it.
Vikki:But I'm walking I'm just owning it and walking into my power. I know I don't look level six, and you guys can guess what level six is. There's supposed to be an o also. But I'm not gonna let age hold me back. Just not letting it happen.
Vikki:So the second key point is you don't need needles or fillers and toxins in your body. You guys I live in California, Southern California, right near LA. We see duck lips. We see all the crazy things all the time, and none of us need that. Right?
Vikki:But that being said, also, you're you're also not being vain by wanting to just have have confidence and look great. Right? You're it's not vanity. It's to me, it's like stewardship for the next generations. God gave us these bodies and this skin to take care of, and he also gave us brains and innovation.

Vikki:When you feel good, you walk into any room, you come on any Zoom, you step on a stage with so much more confidence. Right? And we all know that when we're strutting our cute new blouse or new dress. You know, we just feel so much better. When your skin glows, when your eyes are sparkling.
Vikki:Right? Well, all the things, You just you just own it. You own your life. And so and you really start to attract clients to you for your business. Right?
Vikki:When you have that confidence. And and it's magical. It truly is. And that is when your your empire starts to grow. You attract the clients.
Vikki:You grow your audience. You become the person people want to work with. Seriously. Confidence isn't about ego. I will battle anyone on that one.
Vikki:I am not an egocentric person. I'm not a vain person. To me, it's all about just confident. I keep saying the word, but it truly is. It's about being in alignment with who you are and what you're bringing to the table.
Vikki:So when you show up on video in that room, on that stage, you carry the kingdom. You carry hope. You carry healing, and you carry influence. And everyone's talking about influence right now. Right?
Vikki:Be an influencer. Right? But I just want to be someone who encourages other to be their best selves. I know that's what we all want for sure. That's the kind of influence I want to have on this world.
Vikki:And I I hope maybe you guys will put in the chat that that's some of you as well. So I'm here to help you. I've got the the results. You just saw them. I can help you with anything that you're struggling with.
Vikki:So in closing, I have to say this. What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? Show your face. Build your empire.

Wendy:God, I love you so much. That was awesome. Thank you. Thank you. And, I I mean, honestly, Vikki's you know, she lies a little bit about her age.
Wendy:She's actually 90. But look at her. She just turned 60, but god. No. I'm just kidding.
