OK Solberg:

I wanna again welcome you to The 405 Coffee Break. Guys, get your cup of coffee, glass iced tea, bottle of water. Let's see what's happening.

OK Solberg:

Spring wheat $6.40 a bushel. Did you know a canner cow sold in Billings for a $1.95 per pound and a canner cow brought $2,961? A 100lb fat lamb in Billings sitting at $2.93 a pound. But guys, there's more, much more.

OK Solberg:

Yesterday, we studied Socrates. We better rein it in a little or we might get too smart for our britches. Socrates yesterday? Well, how about Forrest Gump today?

OK Solberg:

Bible verse for the day, Proverbs 9:8 Do not reprove a scoffer or he will hate you. Reprove a wise man and he will love you. Proverbs nine verse eight. Get your head around that one.

OK Solberg:

Like Johnny Cash saying, a little boy of 3 sitting on the floor looks up and says, Daddy, what is war? Son, that's when people fight and die. A little boy of 3 says, Daddy, why? A young man of 17 in Sunday school being taught the golden rule. And by the time another year has gone round, it may be his turn to lay his life down.

OK Solberg:

Can you blame the voice of youth for asking what is truth? Socrates yesterday, Forrest Gump today. Do you remember? I don't remember being born. I don't recall what I got for my 1st Christmas, and I don't know when I went on my 1st outdoor picnic.

OK Solberg:

But I do remember the 1st time I heard as heard the sweetest voice in the whole wide world. Do you remember Bubba? Do you remember Bubba that asked, have you ever been on a shrimp boat? No. But I've been on a real big boat Forrest answered.

OK Solberg:

Anyway, like I was saying, shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. There's shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried.

OK Solberg:

There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That that's about it.

OK Solberg:

Bubba was my best good friend, and even I know that ain't something you can find just around the corner. Bubba was gonna be a shrimping boat captain, but instead, he died right there by that river in Vietnam. Mama always said, dying was a part of life. I sure wish it wasn't. Me and Jenny goes together like peas and carrots.

OK Solberg:

I'm not a smart man, but I know what love is. I don't know if we each have a destiny or if we're all just floating around accidental like on a breeze, but I I think maybe it's both. My mom always said, you've gotta put the past behind you before you can move on.

OK Solberg:

Now mama said, there's only so much fortune a man really needs, and the rest, well, the rest is just for showing off. Miracles happen every day.

OK Solberg:

Some people don't think so, but but they do. What's my destiny, mama? And Mrs. Gump answered, you gotta have to figure that one out yourself. And finally, Forrest Gump says, God can hear my prayers, so I pray.

OK Solberg:

You know what, guys? I think we can learn something from wise men, and I think we can learn something from ones that don't seem wise to the world. I don't know. Does any of that make sense?

OK Solberg:

So until next time, as you go out there, remember now, don't be bitter.
