How to create passive income when
you're busy, tired, and overwhelmed.

Hi, I'm Lucy Griffiths, and welcome
to the Live More, Earn More podcast.

So creating passive income when
you're feeling overwhelmed, and

exhausted, and tired, and all of
those emotions that we can feel, and

certainly I am feeling those right now.

I think that's probably why I came
up with this title because I'm moving

house, I'm juggling all the things,
and my to-do list is crazy long with

going through a divorce, being a single
parent, my son finishing primary school,

and moving house, and trying to get
him into a new school, and all of those

things, and it feels really overwhelming.

But one of the things that is so great
about having a business that creates

passive income is when you are in the
middle of the, the kind of crazy life

moments where your business can almost
take second priority to your life, you

want to be able to create something
where your passive income is gonna be

doing some of the heavy lifting for you.

And my courses and memberships enable me
to have that freedom and flexibility to

have-- create different ways of working.

And so for me, you know, it is something,
uh, that's always been a priority.

When I first left my husband and
going through divorce, I was so out

of kilter, it was really hard to work.

And thank goodness that passive income
enabled me-- I could show up to coaching

calls, and I could be there in that
capacity, but I didn't really feel up to

the marketing and all the razzle-dazzle.

And so I was so lucky that my YouTube
channel kept, you know- bringing

people, a new audience into the mix.

I could run Facebook ads, and then I
could meet them and connect with them,

but I didn't have to do the selling.

So, you know, when you are tired and
overwhelmed and all of those things,

remember that passive income can really
be that safety net that you need.

And the good news is you
don't need a huge audience.

You don't need to, you know, you don't
need to think, "Oh, I need however

many thousands." Start where you're
at and you can build something.

Yes, you have to take action.

Yes, you have to create content and put
yourself out there and be willing to

either say, "I'm gonna build an audience,"
or, "I'm gonna pay to build an audience."

But you don't need a massive audience.

You just need a very concentrated audience
talking directly and solving a pain point.

You want to solve a problem.

There's no point just talking
about something randomly.

You want to really hone in, be, be
laser focused on a problem that you

are solving and clearly articulate
how you are solving that problem

So keep it simple.

Make your first offer
something irresistibly simple.

It doesn't have to be complicated.

Solve a problem of where you're at
right now, regardless of where you

are in your business life, you know,
how much experience you've got.

Talk to your audience and be one
step ahead of people who are just a

little bit behind you And, you know,
make-- create passive income models

in a way that can work for you.

You know, that could be managing, Airbnbs.

That could be doing things
where you are, creating your

courses, you're selling those.

And at the same time, you think, "Okay,
I need to create some extra income." So

you do something active like dog walking
or, you know, just think of other ways

that you can bolster your income, and
maybe that enables you to then run ads.

And when you, you can run ads
to your audience and build an

audience, sell to them that way.

So it's about making bold decisions,
and sometimes those are, you know, it,

it's a leap of faith, but you have to
believe in yourself and your worth and

what you're capable of, it's tricky and,
Facebook Ads are definitely not as good

as they used to be, or Instagram ads.

But you have to, you know, sometimes it's
a leap of faith, and you've got to say,

"Right, what am I gonna do? How am I going
to target my audience?" And maybe it's

not Facebook, maybe it's not Instagram.

Look at who your audience is and
how you're gonna talk to them.

Maybe it's creating a Substack or, using
Reddit or Pinterest or wherever it may

be that your people are hanging out.

And I think the more that you can get
laser-focused on that, the easier it is

then to say, "Okay, I'm talking to this
person. This is where I'm gonna find

them. This is how I'm gonna sell to them."
And it then makes the process of selling

through passive income so much easier.

But start small.

Start really simple and really small.

You don't need to have something
with all the bells and whistles on.

Keep it simple, and the smaller you
begin, the easier the process will be.

My book, Make Money While You Sleep,
has so much inspiration and wisdom about

creating a course or a membership, and
I'd love to help you, with doing that.

It's available on Amazon
and all good bookstores.

And if you feel like you're ready, you
want to create that passive income,

then the next step is, is creating
some kind of sales system to sell it.

And if you're looking for a funnel
or sales pages and that support with

building your website, with creating
something really viable, then my new

business, Flowelle, may be for you.

So this is an all-in-one platform for
solopreneurs, and it enables you to

create courses, create a membership,
and build sales pages, your website,

schedule your social media, and do
all the things that enable you to

really, take a step back and automate,
but in a really simple, easy way.

And, you know, it is…

it's definitely there as
an opportunity for you.

It's an opportunity to just to have
something that you love and, but

do it in a way that fits your life.

Even when you are busy, you're stressed,
you're overwhelmed, you're feeling

exhausted, if you automate your systems,
if you create something that fits your

life, your life is gonna be so much
more joyful and interesting, and you

can still be creative, you can still
create value and purpose, and live

your life in the way that you want to

Thank you so much for
being here and listening.

Have an amazing day, and
I'll see you again soon.

Bye bye bye for now.
