Prime Cleaning and Restoration Podcast with Jordan Brush

Sometimes a phone call ain't really about the carpet or the air ducts at all. In this episode, I want to tell y'all about an old coach who called us here at Prime Cleaning and Restoration and ended up talking with me for forty minutes — because he hadn't spoken to another soul in a week. That call reminded me why I do what I do, and it's got nothing to do with a machine or a work order.

I'm Jordan Brush, born and raised right here in Tyler, Texas, and this is the human side of running a cleaning and restoration business. We talk about what it really means to listen to somebody, to give a person a little hope, and to treat folks the way they deserve to be treated. This isn't my business — it's God's business — and I'm just doing my best to run it right and stand behind our name.

If you've ever felt like nobody was really listening, or you just want to work with a company that actually cares about the person on the other end of the line, this one's for you. We serve Tyler and all across East Texas — residential and commercial — from carpet cleaning to air duct cleaning done the right way.

All you've really got in this life is your word and your name, and we aim to stand behind ours. If we can help you out, give us a call at (903) 594-8007 or find us over at primecleaningandrestorationoftyler.com. We'd be proud to work for you. God bless, and we'll catch you next time.

Hey y'all, I'm Jordan Brush with Prime Cleaning and Restoration right here in Tyler, Texas. This isn't really my business, it's God's business, and I'm just doing my best to run it right, treat folks the way they deserve, and set a standard for what quality's supposed to look like. Pull up a chair and let's visit.

I want to tell you about a phone call I got a while back, because it's stuck with me, and I think it says something about what this work really is. It started out simple enough, an old coach calling about getting some cleaning done. But it turned into something a whole lot bigger than carpet or air ducts.

See, we got to talking, and that call went on for forty minutes. Now most folks might look at that and think, man, that's forty minutes you didn't get paid for, forty minutes you could've been somewhere else. But that's not how I look at it, and I'll tell you why in a minute.

Somewhere in that conversation, it came out that this fella hadn't talked to a single soul in a week. A whole week, not one person. And here he was, an old coach, a man who probably spent his whole life pouring into young people, and now the phone just doesn't ring like it used to.

So we talked. About the cleaning, sure, but mostly just about life, about where he'd been and what he'd done. And I listened, because I could tell that's what he needed more than anything I could clean.

I've got a near-photographic memory for conversations, so I still remember how that one felt. There's a weight to it when somebody just needs to be heard, and you can feel it come off their shoulders a little bit while they're talking. That's a real thing, and you don't rush it.

Now I want to be straight with you about something. When I got into this business, I thought it was about carpet and air ducts, and it is, that's the work we do and we aim to do it better than anybody. But the longer I've done it, the more I've realized the work is really about people.

I think about that coach, and I think about a widow I once talked to for over two hours while I was driving across Dallas. Her husband built the Reunion Plaza Tower and skyscrapers all over that city, and she had stories for days. And I just listened, because that's what she needed too.

Here's the thing about the everyday folks we serve. A lot of them aren't just looking for the cheapest price or the fastest job, they're looking for somebody who'll actually treat them like a human being. Somebody who'll listen, who'll be honest with them, who'll give them a little hope on a day that maybe felt kind of empty.

And I'll tell you, that's the customer who lights me up. Not because of what's in it for me, but because I get to give a little back to somebody who needs it. That old coach didn't just get his call answered, he got somebody on the other end who cared, and that matters.

I tell my guys when they come on that this is God's business, not mine, and I mean that. Part of running it His way is remembering that every person who calls is carrying something, and you don't always know what it is. You just show up, you do your best, and you treat folks the way you'd want your own family treated.

I was raised in a warm home, and that feeling is what I base everything off of even now. My mom made our house a good home, and I carry that into how I want people to feel when they deal with us. Warm, welcome, listened to, like they matter, because they do.

So if you take anything from this, take this. When you call us, you're not just a job on a schedule, you're a person, and we'll treat you like one. If that means forty minutes on the phone before we ever talk cleaning, then that's forty minutes well spent as far as I'm concerned.

Listen, all you've really got in this life is your word and your name, and we aim to stand behind ours. If we can help you out, carpet, air ducts, restoration, all of it, give us a call at nine zero three, five nine four, eight zero zero seven, or find us over at prime cleaning and restoration of tyler dot com. We'd be proud to work for you. God bless, and we'll catch you next time.
