Her story and what she shares in our conversation brought me to tears. She came into Relax Money after having filed bankruptcy and just being able to meet her monthly needs financially, and she talks about why she sneakily ignored my advice at the beginning of the program and jumped in anyway, and how she got herself out of a toxic toxic work situation, got herself an incredible raise fast, and the other financial miracle that happened within six months. Patty Alfonso:Hi, Kate. Thank you for having me. So
Kate Northrup:I am so excited to talk to you today. When you came on one of our coaching calls and shared your story, I was just like it was actually, like, such a answer from the goddess because I had just done a training with our team about what makes a good success story that's actually compelling to people and what doesn't. And I was like, specificity is the name of the game. And then literally, within twenty four hours, you showed up on a coaching call and spontaneously shared the most perfect specific example of a great success story. And so when we were thinking of who we could invite for these case studies, I was like, Patty.
Kate Northrup:And then we got to meet at Emerge at Sarah Jenks event, so that was, like, so special. Okay. So backing up, I'd love to know what was going on in your life and where were you when you heard about Relaxed Money? And if you wanna add in anything just to kind of give context about where you live, what you do, just anything like that, feel free.
Patty Alfonso:Sure. Thank you. Where was I exactly? So I had literally just filed for bankruptcy. So I am known to many as the orgasmic body whisperer, and I've been in business in the world, in the field of embodiment and the feminine and the sacred for twenty years.
Patty Alfonso:And what was going on was that I got really stuck in the hustle of creating and of doing all of the 10,000 different things that you can do to grow a business. And I was just in this rut. And even though I was making money, generating money, receiving clients, I was not relaxed about money. I was like, so when you sort of divinely popped into my feed with plenty and relaxed money, I was like, oh, I need that. I must have that.
Patty Alfonso:The pandemic was really challenging for me and and for my business. And at that time, I had decided that I needed to just put a pause on the business for a moment. I needed to handle this not relaxed about money energy that was driving, you know, that hustle kind of energy in the business. I also had a sense that something else was asking to be birthed through me, but I also knew that in that hustle energy, I was not gonna have access to it. So I chose to take a sabbatical in the business.
Patty Alfonso:I chose to get a job, because I needed that safety and that security of just having money coming in regularly. And I literally had just filed for bankruptcy. I was literally making the same exact amount of money that I needed to just pay my basic living expenses. And when relaxed money and plenty came into my world, I just had this visceral like, I'm a gut kinda woman. Like, if it's a yes in my gut and in my knowing, I do it no matter what.
Patty Alfonso:So even though I did not have the extra money at that moment, I said yes because I I knew that it was what I needed, and I loved your energy. Your energy around money and the joy that you bring to the topic was just, like, exactly what I needed. So I said yes to my first round because I am currently in round two. Looking forward to round three.
Kate Northrup:Just keeps getting better. I know.
Patty Alfonso:I know. I'm so excited. That How? That's where I was. Yeah.
Kate Northrup:That's amazing. I didn't I I think you had shared that part of your story with me, but I had forgotten. So thank you for just reminding me exactly where you were. I'm curious. Do you remember like, was it were you already just because I'm so curious about, like, our marketing channels and, like, where they end up.
Kate Northrup:Do you remember if it was a paid ad or if it was just, like, you were already following me on Instagram or maybe an affiliate? Or do you have any idea? And it's okay if you don't.
Patty Alfonso:I don't recall if it was a paid ad. I don't I don't actually recall because it was really just one of those
Kate Northrup:It was like a divine just showed up at the right time with the right energy.
Patty Alfonso:Just like I showed him I met you where you one call. I know.
Kate Northrup:So so you sign up. Mhmm. You were a full body yes. It sounds like you've already done a lot of work so that you know what a full body yes is, which I love. I am curious.
Kate Northrup:Was there anything that came up for you around, like, I'm hesitant because of this. I shouldn't because of that. You did already share that you had just filed for bankruptcy, and you were, you know, covering your basic needs but didn't have the extra. So I I I would imagine that was a layer, but was there anything else that was a hesitation that you
Patty Alfonso:had? Well, honestly, no. I first signed up for I for I I did your Plenty, the the The workshop. Yeah.
Kate Northrup:Yeah. And this year, it's called good with money just for those listening if you're confused. But yes.
Patty Alfonso:And then after plenty was wide receiver. So, you know,
Kate Northrup:I wide receiver, and now my podcast is called plenty. Yeah. So there's a lot of names, but we're sticking with good with money. Okay.
Patty Alfonso:I love it. I love it. It's perfect. So one of the things that added to the yes. Right?
Patty Alfonso:Because I know sometimes we get a full body yes, and then resistance comes up and all this. But the layer after that was that on the that particular workshop, first of all, I was a yes to everything that you were saying. You know, you were naming something that I was aware of, but that I didn't have words for yet. And so you were already embodying what I was aware of that I needed. So that added to the yes.
Patty Alfonso:And you had shared an image, like, one of your before images. And in the image, I caught a pole, and I caught and I caught a pink feather. And I was like, ah, she's an s girl. She Yeah. She is.
Patty Alfonso:Not Nina girl.
Kate Northrup:I love that. Oh my god. I love that those were, like, secret signals. I didn't even realize those that picture had yeah. Because in my studio apartment, I had a pole right in the middle of it, and I had my feathers, and I had my, you know, my pleasure box.
Kate Northrup:Yeah.
Patty Alfonso:So it was just continuous, the divine showing me little things that were like, this is the vibration that you're aligning with. This is the vibration that you need, and it was just continuous. Yes. Yes. Did I have a little bit of worry?
Patty Alfonso:You know? But you made it so accessible for me to say yes with the payment plans, and it just was it just I was like, I trust. I trust that if I say yes, that the universe will support me because the universe itself is showing me that this is the next step for me. So if there was resistance, the goddess very click quickly
Kate Northrup:Labeled it. No. No. No. We're doing this.
Patty Alfonso:We're doing this.
Kate Northrup:You. I'm curious because some people go through the program and just, like, show up at every live thing and do the work in real time. And then some people, you know, start off, you know, fast and hard and then and then take a break for a while, revisit it. Some people, you know, bite size pieces over the entire year. Some people only do one module, and it changes their life, and they're good to go.
Kate Northrup:So and it's all perfect. Like, any way you do it is the right way for you. I'm curious, what did it look like for you going through the program and at what pacing and what was your experience?
Patty Alfonso:Yeah. Another thing that you said that was a little, I remember you saying I've done these programs before and not ever shown up live to a single call.
Kate Northrup:Yeah. I never go to anything live.
Patty Alfonso:And that I usually do. I love being live, but in this moment, I had just gotten a full time job. So I did not have the flexibility to be live. But when you said that, again, it spoke to my body and to my already yes. And so what I did because I couldn't be live except for that one call that I happened to show up for in the right perfect timing.
Kate Northrup:Yes. You did.
Patty Alfonso:I just fully committed to listening no matter what. That was my priority to stay on track with you guys even if I couldn't be live. So I loved the the private podcast because I could listen on the go, and I could listen in the car driving to work and driving back. And so I did that whole first journey with you live. Well, with you Right.
Patty Alfonso:Live in my own space.
Kate Northrup:Exactly.
Patty Alfonso:Yes. And then and then when it was coming towards the end, I knew that I had to show up and tell you all of the magic that had shown up even though I wasn't live. Even though you had probably not seen my face at all, I was with you. And I wanna add because I signed up for the second round also knowing that I wasn't gonna be able to give it the same attention because I was getting certified as an erotic blueprint coach, so I had to give that some of my energy. But I knew.
Patty Alfonso:If I say yes, a rising tide lifts all boats. I will be in the energy, and I will receive. Oh, I'm getting full body goosebumps. I will receive. And so now I'm catching up on that second round, and I'm looking forward to the third, and I'm looking forward to seeing how that shows up in my life.
Patty Alfonso:And and I'm just open. I'm totally open.
Kate Northrup:You are just so divine and delicious. I'm curious. What did happen for you that made you wanna make sure you came on that one call and tell me with your voice, with your gorgeous face, your story? What what was your story? Do you remember the specifics?
Patty Alfonso:Oh, 1000%. So I was in that job making exactly how much I needed to live. And then your program gave me the courage to quit that job because it was actually a really unhealthy environment for me. And in that process of finding a new one, I gave myself a $25,000 raise. Wow.
Patty Alfonso:And then oh, there's more. Part of that new contract came with a yearly bonus. And even though I had only been in that that new job for six months, half a year, I wasn't technically in entitled to my full bonus. But because of how I was showing up and because of who I was being and because of this nervous system regulation and relaxation, I literally got my full bonus after only being there for six months. So I went from from barely basic expenses to this expansion of having in a relaxed way of having money, of receiving money for just being myself, just being who I came here to be in the world.
Patty Alfonso:And that continues to grow and expand. And now if I may, I'm in this, transition, right, where I've gotten the download of what's next for my business. Cool. And I'm feeling that inner sense of safety that has to be cultivated in order to really feel that safety in the world. So I've used all of the tools to cultivate that.
Patty Alfonso:And so now I'm I'm I'm still in between, but I'm really excited about this space because I'm more connected to myself. I'm more connected to the goddess. I'm more connected to my desires, to my pleasure. And so I'm really looking forward to this next chapter and and whatever it may bring.
Kate Northrup:How exciting. How exciting. So are you are you currently in transition from your full time job to putting your attention back in your business in this new evolved way?
Patty Alfonso:I'm doing both at the moment. Amazing. And the beauty is so, like, one of my dreams was, oh, I wish that clients could just show up. What's with the hustle? What's with that, like, grind?
Patty Alfonso:I mean, can I just be and literally, it's happening right now? Women that I used that I worked with a long time ago are just showing up and saying, I'm ready. I wanna work with you now. I just met a woman yesterday. I went to a float and to have a magnesium IV drip, and I sat down next to this incredible woman, and we just started talking.
Patty Alfonso:She's like, wanna work with you. So everything that I knew was possible with the business is here. It's showing up. And this new version of myself, which is still the orgasmic body whisperer, but now includes erotic priestessing. Right?
Patty Alfonso:I'm being initiated in that in that lineage, which I've been my whole life and many lifetimes. Right? So so I'm in it. I'm in it. And I'm I'm in that.
Patty Alfonso:I'm I'm still doing the the job because I love it. And the people What a blessing. Are amazing, and it's such a gift. And, you know, and then and then eventually at the right perfect divine time, I'll let go of the job and I'll be full back in and, you know, I'm just allowing the goddess to lead right now. I'm So beautiful.
Patty Alfonso:Surrender. Oh. I am. I am.
Kate Northrup:You are. You are clearing the channel. Mhmm. So I'd to know, Patty, I think you've already spoken to it that, the courage that you found in yourself, the permission to do the work in your own way, in your own right timing, the commitment to be with money in a new way using the tools. You've spoken to all those things.
Kate Northrup:Is there anything else you would wanna speak to of, like, what changed in you during your Relaxed Money journey so far?
Patty Alfonso:You spoke a lot about this, about expanding our capacity to receive. And I think that that has been the deepest within my cells, is expanding my capacity to receive, to be with money in a different way, in a way that's more flow of the energy of gifting and receiving and gifting and receiving. Honestly, I feel like the vibration that you hold and that you be with the community and the container, the vulnerability that you show up with, and I I might cry because it's very touching. The vulnerability that you show up with, the the the care, your big beautiful heart, your joy, like, you being that energy and me allowing myself to be in that space with you, like, it just changed me on a cellular level, and I allowed myself to receive that. I didn't shut down from the beauty that you show up with.
Patty Alfonso:I allowed it to tickle every molecule of my body and my soul. And now I'm feeling, right, like, resonant with that energy. So Yeah. My deepest thank you for the work that you're doing and who you are in the world. And I shed tears of joy and gratitude because you're so open with all of your challenges and everything you're going through with such grace and such and that's a testament to the work that you do on yourself.
Patty Alfonso:Right? We're all
Kate Northrup:Yeah.
Patty Alfonso:Making and doing that. So, yeah, I I hope I answered your question.
Kate Northrup:It did, Patty, and I wanna reflect back that those seeds of that exact way of being, you allowed them to be watered in you because only if that's already inside us do we recognize it in someone else. And it feels like nourishment because you were available to grow something that was already there, but perhaps more in a nascent stage. And now that part is obviously leading in your life from the courage to go and get yourself a new job for, you know, an increased pay of $25,000 to you showing up in this new job that was a much better environment for you. Oops. Sorry.
Kate Northrup:I've got a siren. And and being rewarded financially for who you are being with your full bonus to now being in this job that you freaking love while also feeling the rekindling and the evolution of what's next in your erotic priestessing. I mean, it's just absolutely gorgeous, and I couldn't be more thrilled to be supporting your financial foundations because, you know, historically, I know you know this, but I just wanna say it for everyone else. Historically, the priestesses were the ones who actually were the wealth holders. And so there is a remembrance here.
Kate Northrup:And for thousands of years, we have forgotten as women. We have been property instead of owning property. Our bodies were a currency. And so there is a deep unraveling there, and because you're doing such meaningful work in the world, in the in the spiritual world, in the erotic world, I just am, like, so psyched that relaxed money and, like, spending plans and nervous system healing tools could grow your foundation and your capacity to expand this important work that you're doing. So it's such a freaking honor.
Kate Northrup:I love it, and I'm so grateful that you popped onto that Zoom and then also said hello at Emerge so that we could have this conversation. Is there anything you would wanna add in closing for someone who's thinking about joining Relax Money and and, like, is maybe feeling hesitant or just, like, any any final words that you'd like to say? Yeah.
Patty Alfonso:I just would love to invite people to go within for that choice to really tune in to your deep inner knowing. Right? Sometimes when there's a big yes that's actually gonna transform your life, it is natural for resistance to come up because your your mind, they're trying to keep you safe. Your nervous system is trying to keep you safe, but the awareness that like, this is a full body. Yes.
Patty Alfonso:I know it. And then noticing that resistance, noticing that energy, acknowledging it. Okay. Yeah. And then coming back to that knowing.
Patty Alfonso:Right? And then trusting that because it's in alignment, because your body is a full yes or your energy is a full yes or you're leaning in, you're listening, you're leaning in, trusting that body intuition. Right? That body magic that's available and and trusting that that the universe will line things up for you and and allowing yourself to receive that blessing because it's available to all of us. And that's what we're all in the practice of right now, I think, of of leaning into is is trusting ourselves and our knowing and our bodies and the divine.
Patty Alfonso:All three of those.
