Hello and welcome to the Transfer News Podcast. I'm Archer, and it's Monday, December twenty-second, two thousand and twenty-five. We've got an absolutely packed show today with some massive stories swirling around the Premier League, so let's dive straight in.

First up, Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo is turning into one of the most wanted men in English football. Liverpool appear to be leading the chase, with reports suggesting Semenyo himself would prefer a move to Anfield if he leaves the Cherries. But here's where it gets interesting, Manchester United are also plotting a January move for the Ghanaian forward, and according to sources, there are actually five clubs in total chasing his signature. This is shaping up to be a proper transfer battle, and with Bournemouth flying under Andoni Iraola, you have to wonder if they'll even entertain offers in January or wait until summer.

Now to some concerning news for Manchester United fans. Kobbie Mainoo, the academy graduate who broke through so impressively, reportedly wants to leave Old Trafford. The young midfielder is apparently in demand for a January loan move, though United could block any potential departure. It's a tricky situation for Ruben Amorim, who surely sees Mainoo as part of his future plans, but if the player's head has been turned, that's never an easy thing to manage.

Staying with United, Joshua Zirkzee's future is up in the air. Roma are interested in bringing the Dutch striker back to Italy, but talks have hit a deadlock. The striker hasn't quite found his feet at Old Trafford since his summer move, and you do wonder if a fresh start might benefit everyone involved.

Over to Crystal Palace, where Marc Guehi continues to attract serious interest. Manchester City are targeting the England defender for a summer move, while Bayern Munich are planning talks with him as well. Guehi, who is twenty-five years old, has been absolutely outstanding for Palace under Oliver Glasner, and it feels inevitable that he'll move to a Champions League club sooner rather than later.

Speaking of Palace, they're looking to strengthen themselves. Reports suggest they want Brennan Johnson from Tottenham, though prising him away from Thomas Frank's side might prove difficult. On the flip side, Palace may consider bids for Jean-Philippe Mateta if the right offer comes in, which would be a blow given his form this season.

West Ham are busy plotting their January business under Nuno Espirito Santo. They've set their sights on Josh Sargent, presumably looking for more firepower up front. The Hammers are also watching in-form Adam Clayton, though at this stage it's unclear how advanced their interest is. Nuno clearly wants to stamp his authority on this squad.

Now for the big one. Mohamed Salah remains the top priority for the Saudi Pro League, with Al Hilal preparing a bid for the Liverpool superstar. Multiple reports confirm Saudi clubs have set their sights on Salah, and there's still a possibility he could make the move despite his incredible form for Arne Slot's side. Salah could still go to Saudi, according to sources, and with his contract situation unresolved, this saga is far from over. Personally, I think Liverpool would be mad to let him leave, but the financial package from Saudi Arabia might be impossible to ignore.

Liverpool aren't sitting idle though. They're planning a bid for Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga, which would be an absolute statement signing if they can pull it off. The Reds are also part of a trio of clubs chasing Iliman Ndiaye, showing their ambition to strengthen across multiple areas.

Manchester City are doing their homework on defensive midfielders. They prefer Vasco da Gama's Andrey Santos Anderson to Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton, according to reports. It's interesting to see City looking abroad rather than raiding the Premier League for once.

A couple of quick ones to round things out. Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford wants to leave in search of regular first-team football, which is understandable given the competition at the Etihad. Paris Saint-Germain are considering a swap deal involving Marcus Rashford, though details remain scarce. And finally, Real Madrid are making progress on a new deal for Vinicius Junior, which will be a relief for their fans.
