Callum:

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the podcast. We are currently in that weird period. You know, the weird period between Christmas and January where you actually have no idea what day it is, but you know what date it is. So at the time of recording this, it's the December 30. I have absolutely no idea what day it is, which is kind of strange really because it kinda makes you question, like, why why does this happen only?

Callum:

Why does this only happen during Christmas? Really strange. Anyway, I digress. Want me to go through with you today? Yeah.

Callum:

Do you know what? Have you ever felt like don't want to kind of say stuck because you kind of not where you are stuck, but you're not stuck. But maybe you've just hit a ceiling And it not even being just a ceiling, you've you've almost kinda like you almost kinda feel that, like, you are having success, but not the level of success that either you thought that you would be having at this stage or the level of success that everyone else seems to be having that and it's not necessarily no matter how hard you try because you know that you are trying, and you also know that you are having success with your business. You are having success with what's happening, but it just doesn't seem to almost kind of be consistently flowing that you've almost kind of hit a hit a ceiling, that you have hit a ceiling. And I think that the frustration that comes with hitting this ceiling is that, you know, that you you know that you have something inside of you that is is special.

Callum:

You know that you were meant for more, but you you almost kinda can't put your finger on what that quite is. And as you know, it's hard when you see everyone else having all of this success and you are having success. You're questioning, like, why am I not there? Like, what do they know that I don't? What are they doing that I'm not?

Callum:

Because I am doing all of the right things. But for some reason, I don't feel like I've been rewarded to the level that the level of work, dedication, and sacrifice that I have put into this thing would almost kind of deserve. And I don't know. It's hard because, like, you know, I've been going for nearly ten years now. And don't like, there are so many times where in my mind I'm like, I've been going for so long.

Callum:

And why am I not having the level of success that I thought that ten years in business would give me? Now it's interesting because I'm not currently in that state right now. Like, I've kinda shattered through that ceiling, and I was at that ceiling maybe two years ago. And I wanna share with you where where I stumbled across the answer, what the answer was, and exactly what you can do. And I promise you, if you genuinely take in the lesson that I teach within today, what I stumbled across and you really kind of internalize it, study it, and really ask yourself the question like, okay, well, how is this applying to me?

Callum:

I promise you your life will change in such a drastically rapid way. And it's interesting that once you almost like as there, it's almost kinda like it's weird that you're you're kind of in this, like, this box. You're in a box and you feel like there's a roof and you just can't quite smash through it. And then it's really interesting when you start to realize that the roof is made of glass and you just figure out a different way to smash through that roof. The the limits are completely impossible.

Callum:

Like, it's mad. You start to almost kinda realize that things happen a lot quickly and a lot quicker. And it's interesting. If I almost kinda look at the jump that it took me, that this jump like, I was stuck at the, like, the 4 to $6 a month mark, and nothing was changing. Nothing was changing.

Callum:

Nothing was changing. And it wasn't through lack of effort, but what had happened was that I'd got to this one specific point that whatever I was doing was not gonna take me any further. And it was really interesting because the only thing I did was change one thing, which is what I'm gonna reveal to you in today's episode. And what that did was that God's honest truth, it took me from $4 a month, not not to $10 a month, but $14.15, $16 months. So this is how powerful that is.

Callum:

And, also, it's not just that it will take you to, you know, $15 a month, so to speak, but it's also how quickly things changed. It wasn't a $4, $5, $6, $7, eight month linear journey. It was a big jump. It was a jump from $4 a month to $15.16 grand months. And what was it that changed?

Callum:

Well, it's really interesting because do you know where I actually stumbled across this answer? Pokemon. Fucking Pokemon. Now if you've played Pokemon before, you will understand. But if you haven't played Pokemon before, I am gonna kinda, like, make sure that you can fully understand this without needing to be a full on Pokemon nerd.

Callum:

But, basically, if you haven't played Pokemon or watched Pokemon before, first of all, like, what was your childhood? Because my childhood was being glued to my Game Boy and watching Ash Ketchum become a Pokemon master. But secondly, if I articulate how Pokemon works, basically, with Pokemon, like you're a you're a trainer. Yeah. And you you capture these things called Pokemon that are almost kinda like your animals.

Callum:

And long story short, you kinda train your animals up to kinda fight each other. It's a bit kinda fucked up really now I think about it, but it's quite cute because the Pokemon are quite cute. But, basically, you train up all of these Pokemon to fight each other, and they win matches and and all of these sorts of things. And what happens is that when your Pokemon kinda wins a match, they then, like, go up a level. So you first let's almost kinda look at, like, the most famous Pokemon, Pikachu.

Callum:

So you first get a Pikachu, and, basically, you'll find a Pikachu which is like a level five. And then he goes and wins a few matches or she wins a few matches, which and whichever gender you think Pikachu is. But what happens is that Pikachu then goes from level five to level six, then level six to level seven. And as Pikachu then gets to level 10, Pikachu then learns a new ability. Pikachu's like an electric mouse.

Callum:

So to start with, its only ability is to, like, beat animals through scratching. But then what happens is when you get to level 10, Pikachu then learns this new skill, which is like electric shock, where he can then electrocute his enemies and then win matches significantly quicker, but then also beat more powerful Pokemon. So when Pikachu's at a level five, he can't beat level 10 Pokemon. But when he gets to level 10, he can beat level 10 Pokemon. But in order to beat level 10 Pokemon, he has to learn this new move called electric shock.

Callum:

But then what happens is that when Pikachu then gets to level 20, his capabilities then stop. And, basically, Pikachu can only go as far as a level 20 Pikachu can actually go. And what happens is that if you keep trying to use a level 20 Pikachu to fight level 25, level 30, level 50 Pokemon, Pikachu will constantly lose because the capabilities and the skills that Pikachu has, they're not strong enough. Now what happens is you have two options. Either one, keep trying to do the same thing over and over again, which is beat level 30, level 40, level 50 Pokemon with a level 20 Pikachu, or you have the opportunity to basically give Pikachu this magic stone, which is the electric stone.

Callum:

And what happens is that Pikachu then evolves into the next version of himself, which is a Raichu, which is effectively a more aggressive version of Pikachu. And when you have this Raichu, Pikachu then becomes Raichu, but he can learn more abilities. Raichu can then learn like thunderbolt and electric wave and blasting and whatever. And the Pokemon nerds will be absolutely killing you right now. But because my terminology is so wrong.

Callum:

But you get the concept that basically in order to for Pikachu and for you as the trainer to compete at a higher level, he had to evolve. He had to become something else. And in order to become something else, he had to learn new skill sets. He had to operate in a completely different way. And there's a great saying, which I learned from Doctor.

Callum:

Benjamin Hardy, which was what got you here won't get you there. And if I look at the thing that changed everything for me was again the age old saying, if you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always got. And I just kept doing the same thing over and over and over again. I was trying to get better and better and better, but the thing was the skills that I was trying to improve could only take me a certain level. So specifically, if I kinda look at you as a coach, right now, might find that, like, your coaching consists of training plans, macro splits, and the problem is that it's only taking you to a certain point.

Callum:

From a retention point of view, you might find that your clients only stick around for three, four, maybe six months, but your ability to keep a client for two years isn't quite there. Now, is that really important? Absolutely. If you've got a three month client paying you £150 a month, that's £450. But if the only thing that you changed was turned that three month client into a twelve month client, that twelve week client into a twelve month client, that person goes from worth £450 to you to £1,800.

Callum:

That's huge. That's huge. And that's the difference between those that hit the $10.15, $20 months. It's building your business based off the back of retention. Now, point that I'm coming at here is retention isn't about improving your check ins.

Callum:

It isn't about having more communication with your clients. You've tried that. What is retention? Retention really is about delivering a result and a service your client can't get from anyone else. And specifically, if we look at the real reason that will that will determine whether your clients are getting results or not, it is their nutrition.

Callum:

It's what they're eating. Now, the point that I'm coming at here is that for you to get to the next level, you need to evolve. You need to step into the shoes of the next version of you. If you keep doing what you're doing, I promise you, you will be stuck at that $3.04, $56 mark, and you won't be able to get through. You'll continue you'll continue to feel like you're behind.

Callum:

You'll continue to compare yourself to everyone else because everyone else is having so much more success off the back of the fact that the only thing that they did was that they evolved themselves. They stepped into the next version of themself. A level 20 Pikachu can only go as far as a level 20 Pikachu can go. But in order for you to fight level thirty, forty, 50 Pokemon, you have to evolve. You have to become a Raichu.

Callum:

So if I look at the only thing that changed it for me, it wasn't just the retention. It was more, I need to step into the shoes of the next level version of Callum. What is the next level version of Callum? Who is he? How does he operate?

Callum:

What skills does he have that I currently don't possess? How does the business that he has look different to the business that I currently have? So my question to you right now is ask yourself the question, what is the next level version of me? How does he how does she operate? What do they know that I don't know?

Callum:

What are they doing differently? And truthfully, if I can really kind of look at what is the thing that will drive you to be able to get to the next level is to stop focusing only on bringing clients in and focus on making sure that when you do bring a new client in, your income actually increases because you have a flock of 20 other people paying you £200 a month where you have a $4 a month recurring income coming in, and that happens for a whole year, which means that when if you're at $4 a month, when you sign someone up at £200 a month, what then happens is your income next month goes to £4,200 a month. And then the month after is £4,400. And then when you have a month, which is crazy, when you have 10 signups, your recurring income goes to 6 and a half grand, but that's recurring income, not new income. Because the problem is you cannot build a business that is sustainable, that is secure when you have people dropping off.

Callum:

And how do you do that? By becoming a coach that no other coach is like, by delivering a service that no other coach can deliver, by delivering results that no other coach can. So my question to you is where what is missing in your skill set right now? Who do you need to become? How do you need to operate differently in order to go to the next level?

Callum:

Because to go to the next level, you need to go to the next level. And that is so important, so important. And if you keep doing it, feel like I'm full of cliches today, but if you keep doing what you've always done, you will keep getting what you've always got. So to get a different result, we've got to take different actions. But if we look at where our actions come from, our actions come from our thoughts and our thoughts come from our identity.

Callum:

So it really kind of comes down to what is the identity of individual that you need to become. Think about that identity and specifically think about who you need to become and how you need to operate differently in order to play at the next level. There's a reason why my program is called the next level coach because it is about making sure that you can actually step into the next level version of yourself. If I look at the whole point of the program, the whole point of the program is literally just to turn you into the next level version of yourself. Because if you become the next level version of yourself, then you then get results of that next level version.

Callum:

The reason you can achieve whatever you want in life is because you can become the person capable of achieving that. And this is where mentors don't tell you what mentors don't tell you. They don't tell you that in order to play at 10,000 a month, £15,000 a month, you have to become the person who is a £10,000 a month coach, a £15,000 a month coach. And I'll tell you what, if your sign ups are £200 a month, those people are not the £15,000 a month coaches are not making £15,000 worth of new sales at £200 a month. They're not.

Callum:

K? Because otherwise, they would just be glued to sales calls all of the time. And you may think that's that's what you need, but it's not. What you need is to make sure that you bring in five or six new clients a month, because if you just bring in five or six new clients a month over a year, that's an extra 60 clients. Okay.

Callum:
