Good morning, everyone. My name is Don Marquez. This is your insurance connection broadcasting at KU and V 91.5 jazz and more every Sunday morning, right here at KU and V. Welcome. Welcome to my show. I'm a licensed insurance agent for the last 30 years. Ooh, we, you know, what did the day.. what did the time go? It's like just days. I just got my license, but here we are 30 years later, and I'm still delivering strong information, valuable information about how to, you know, save money on auto insurance, homeowners insurance. I talk about life insurance on my show. It's an educational program about insurance. I am a licensed insurance agent serving all in Nevada. My home is southern Nevada, right here in Las Vegas, Nevada, California, Louisiana, Texas, and Michigan. I had to think about that for a minute, but I'm licensed in those states as well. You know, I love what I do as an insurance professional, because I tell you about your policies. I tell you, you know, when we're talking on the phone, information that you really don't really get from most insurance agents, you know, it's like when you go online, or if you call to get a quote, it's just like, okay, here's okay, this is my auto, my address, my date of birth, my phone number, nothing, nothing personal, it's just all robotic. I'm not like that, I'm not like that at all. I have the more personal touch. I just want to put your mind at ease. If there's any questions or concerns about my performance, you can always contact the Division of Insurance. I have, in 30 years, not one complaint. 30 years, no complaints. That's a lot to say. I have a lot of validity of what I do. The companies that I represent for auto insurance, I have Progressive Travelers, Safeco, Dairyland, just to name a few, for life insurance, Medlife, what else, Men Life, Mutual of Omaha, Protective, Trans America, AmeriCo, Lincoln Heritage Life Insurance Company, and I can just go on and on and on. It just give you an idea, the companies that I represent, I represent Top Chef companies, and I'm looking for that Top Chef client. I am, you know, when it comes to insurance, I don't write to, you know, if you had like DUIs and reckless driving and suspended license, and you know, I'm not your insurance agent, I'm just not. I'm not. I've been there, done that. Back when I started 30 years ago, I was trying to help everyone, but I found out in this insurance business I can't help everyone. My preferred customer is you've been with your insurance company for at least two years for auto insurance with no labs and coverage, and you know we can have a conversation, because I have other avenues now. If you have a Hyundai Akia, and I'm quite sure you're feeling the rates are starting to adjust on you. I do have companies that probably can help you, even if you're getting a little older in life. You think to yourself, well, you know, my rates should be going down as I age, and I understand when you, it's that magic age of 75 Soon as you turn 75 years young, going into 76 is your rates adjust. It's a reason for that. I know why. This is because I educate you as an insurance agent to tell you what's going on with your policy. This is why I offer no obligation reviews. In other words, you do not pay me to come see me. I work by appointment. My business hours are Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm My location, Sahara Rancho, in the US Bank Center, eighth floor, and that's right across the street from the Palace Station, on the corner, Sahara Rancho, tall, beautiful, brown building, US Bank Center. I'm on the eighth floor. I work by appointment: 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 is my contact phone number. Yeah, I'm here. I do. A lot of work over the phone to make it convenient for both of us, because gasoline, right now, is just whoa, it's, it's very expensive. And, hey, let's say time and gas, yeah, it's almost $6 a gallon and up. Yeah, I can save you some fuel, you know, by quoting you over the telephone for auto, home, boat, motorcycle, and also life insurance. My name is Don Marquez. This is your insurance connection 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 Auto insurance is on the rise, like everything else is. It depended on the car you drive, how much you pay for the vehicle. Now, when you do buy a car and you don't put much money down, or you trade in your vehicle and you owe money on your vehicle, gap insurance, gap insurance from the dealership, they can put it right into your payment, or you know we can offer you gap insurance through your insurance policy, you can compare what do you want to do, if you know, because I have people always call, they always call me when they buy a car, right? So they buy a car, then you know that Monday morning they contact me, man, Don Marquez, I purchased a car over the weekend, and they're all excited, and I'll add it on, and sometimes people like, oh, okay, it's not as much as I thought it was gonna be, but every blue moon I'll get that insurance shot. Oh, well, you just went out and bought an 80 $90,000 SUV, and you get a little shocked because of the rate. Now, you may have cars on your policy that you don't need anymore, you know, they, you know, you could sell these cars or donate these cars, or just simply take the plates off, turn them into the Department of Motor Vehicle. I have talked to many people on 30 and within 30 years of my professional career, and they have cars they keep registered. These cars don't even run, but they just keep, they keep them registered. I don't understand. Why would you, you know, if it does run, it barely runs enough to pass smog. They don't drive it, it just sits in their driveway. Let's take the plates off, turn off the insurance on these cars, or you know, you can donate the car to, you know, some of these donation checkpoints we have here in town. They'll take your car, believe it or not, don't, and it's a nice test tax advantage. Keep that in mind. I mean, but I've talked to people, you know, my car hadn't ran in a while, but why do you have insurance on it, even if it's not registered? I've talked to people, my car is not registered, but I just keep insurance on my, on my car over here. Here's another thing, if you have a classic car, and you know classic cars are very expensive these days, you know when you bought that 57 shipping, when I was growing up, a 57 shiving was only like three or $400 $500 at the most, that's all you're gonna pay for one of those, I mean, you get someone, hey, you know, some grand, grandma, grandparent, or grand, you know, you know, senior citizens back then, and, and I'm talking about in the 70s, when I grew up, you know, going to high school, and here in Las Vegas, those kind of cars, you know, we could pick up all day long, 345, $100 every day, all day, everywhere with that old 57 Chevrolet, Chevrolet Bel Air, that that 64 Chevrolet Impala, they're very expensive. That 1970 Chevelle SS is very expensive today. We're talking about cars well over $50,000 Do not put that on your regular insurance policy. If you do that, that car, okay, needs to be listed as a, you know, agreed value and agreed value. What does that mean? So, there's a stated value and there's agreed value. Now, the stated value of a car, when you put that car on your regular car insurance policy, the stated value means whatever the insurance company state the value is. So, you kind of on your own. It's that car is stolen, damaged. You're on your own now. If that car isn't has an agreed value, we're talking about your classic car, and it has to be over 30 years young, right? Your classic car has to be over 30 years old to be considered a classic. Now, if it's worth it, because some of these old 30 year old vehicles are not worth it, you know. So, some cars are worth it, some of not. But what we're talking about, those 1969 Camaros, 1957 Bel Air, 56 Bel Air.. I don't know, that 58 Thunderbird with the porthole on it, those old Corvettes with the split window. I'm talking about your classic cars that are worth a lot of money these days, but you want to put the right type of insurance, and this is where I come in. I advise you to put the right insurance on these classic vehicles, don't just put, and this is what a lot of people make a mistake, you have probably 3040, $1,000 of value of parts labor you've put into this car to get it the way you want it, and now you call your insurance company up, and you call them up and say, 'Hey, mr. Insurance Agent, you're not calling me, but you're calling your other insurance agent, and you say, 'Hey, just put liability only on this car. In other words, it is not protected for collision or comprehensive. That means staff, vandalism, or collision. You just want to put the minimum on it, because you don't drive it that way. I don't drive it that much, but you have a large investment in these classic cars. Why not insure them properly? I can help you with that. I go to step by step, I even have insurance companies like Hagerty that I can get in touch with to write your classic car insurance policy. Your classic car is not a daily driver, right? No, that's not a classic car. If you use that classic car every day to go back and forth to work, that's not considered a classic car or classic car storage on your car insurance now. If you have a regular transportation and you take your, your, your classic car out, let's say parades, car shows, that's fine, you know. We can, we can categorize it as a classic car, but you only drive it probably less than 4000 miles a year. Okay, so yeah, we can categorize it as a classic car, classic car insurance, and your this is a car other than your main transportation vehicles. My name is Don Marquez. This is your insurance connection. Hopefully, that's news you can use. 7021 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 My location, Sahara Rancho. Yes, on US Bank Center, eighth floor. I work by appointment. My business hours are Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm and I do a lot of business over the phone, home, auto, life insurance. Let's talk about your homeowners insurance a little bit. If you do own a home and your homeowners insurance have adjust, now I understand your homeowners insurance policies paid through your escrow account. Now, when we switch that, let's say you're going to get the home and auto together and get the bundle. I prefer when your homeowners is due coming up. Well, so now we can write the auto. Well, let's say your homeowners is not due until two months later on down the road. We can give you the discount now for the bundle, because the auto discounts the home and the home discounts the auto, that's why they call it the bundle. Now, there are two separate policies. People like, well, can I put those policies together? No, there are two separate policies. All your policies are separate, other than your one car. Well, we have one car, multiple cars on one insurance policy. The house is on a policy by itself, and of course, your boat motorcycle, those are all separate policies, because they cover differently. This is why we just don't put them all together. I don't know who came up with that to say, let's put everything on one. No, it doesn't work that way. Now, through your escrow account, your homeowner's insurance is paid once a year, once a year, so your once a year, your annual premium is paid out to the insurance company from your escrow account. When you pay your house payment, you pay a whole lot toward interest, a little bit toward the principal. You pay, you know, an amount toward the escrow account. Now, your escrow account pays taxes and insurance. Now, again, the insurance is only paid once annually, right? And now I want to give you a quote closer on your homeowners, closer when it's getting ready to renew, because if we do it midstream, let's say six months, you've had your homeowners for six months, right? And then now you want to quote, because you lose shopping your homeowner's rate. Your mortgage company is not going to pay twice in one year. Keep that in mind, they're not going to pay twice in 12 months. So we want to wait till that home is getting ready to renew, maybe a couple of months out, right before it renews. You can contact me, I'll give you a homeowner's insurance quote, so we can bundle the home and auto together, two separate policies, two separate policies to give you the discount. And in today's economy, we need to find ways to save money, and it's okay to shop. I know a lot of you've been loyal to some of these insurance companies for a very long time. We're talking about auto insurance. Well, you know, I've been with the farm for many, many, many years, and yeah, okay, it's great if you have a good rate, but if your rate is competitive and you can shop your rate, it's all about saving money, right? And you know, I talked to a gentleman the other day, and I saved him, it was up to 50 $50 a month, and he was like very happy, he said, well, you know. That's that's that's good savings for me when they talk about on television, and you hear it all the time, you know, the call will make you 15 minutes to save you hundreds on your car insurance, you know, they're not talking about Las Vegas, Nevada, let's, let's, let's get this straight right now, they're not talking about us, no, they're talking about some little small town Midwest Mayberry. No, they're not talking about Vegas. And then they're not talking about you paying your house, paying your excuse me, your auto, your auto insurance month to month. You know, when they talk about saving hundreds, they don't say on the commercials, or you know when you receive this information in the mail, that this is a paid in full rate. This is how you save the vet. This is the value of having a car insurance premium to pay it in full. It's either six months or either 12 months. Pay your policy in full. Now you can put it on a credit card. Now you get your zero interest credit card, pay that. Now you're in control how you want to pay it back for the term, but you want to pay it in full now. Of course, we can take monthly payments through your checking account, and some companies will allow you to use your debit card, credit card. However, you know when you use your debit card, credit card, there is an additional fee to use your cards, and I don't recommend cards, but some people are very comfortable giving their cards out. But it is an additional fee, is up to $5 additional what you may pay in addition to with the coverages that you're paying for now. You're paying for a service fee to use your debit credit card. That's hopefully this is news you can use. I can walk you step by steps through the process, and my senior citizens, I'm a senior, so I know how you know you feel when your car insurance goes up, and like, well, I'm retired, and you know this car insurance is going up, and I can't, you know, I know I get it. Sometimes you may have coverages on that that you really don't need. Now, what does that mean? If you have two drivers in the household and you have three cars, right, you have two drivers in the household and you have three cars, and now you don't need rental car reimbursement, or if you're already paying for a motor club, you know, outside of your own personal car insurance. Well, you don't have to pay for towing in labor, so that's two coverages you may not have. Now, what I'm finding out is uninsured and underinsured motorists. Some people are taking that off their policy because they tell me I have plenty of health insurance. Some veterans tell me, well, I have Medicare and I have VA, so I don't need uninsured motors, and I'm okay with that. I'm okay with that, because uninsured motors is for medical protection, you know, and that's a substantial savings when you have now, when you take off uninsured motors. Personally, I would not drive in Vegas without it, but that's your preference if you have enough coverage to cover yourself, because your bodily injury does not cover the insured individual. It doesn't. The bodily injury is the first line of insurance on auto insurance policy. The uninsured motors and underinsured motors protect you if someone has no insurance and they hit you, now you can use your uninsured motors for medical protection, for medical payments, or if someone has insurance, but they don't have enough insurance, because now your medical bills are over and above their policy limits. These insurance companies will only pay out the policy limits I've never heard in 30 years, and I may be wrong. I'm gonna leave myself some wiggle room out there, because you, you know, you have all these people, you just want to do a checkpoint on me. Now, the insurance companies pay over and above your policy limits. I haven't heard it before. This is why we carry underlying coverages like the uninsured motors protection, so if that driver does hit you, and they only have the state minimum requirements, which is only 25,000 per person, 50,000 each accident, $20,000 property damage, it is better than it was, because it was only at 15,000 per person, 30,000 each accident, $10,000 you know, property damage, so it's much better than it used to be. The insurance company was happy when they had it at 15,000 per person, 30,000 each accident, $10,000 property damage, because they didn't have to pay out much again. I've never seen a policy pay more over and above the policy limits unless the person had underlying coverage. My name is Don Marquez. This is your insurance connection 70223626247022362 2624 Moving forward, let's talk about, let's talk about coverage. For children on your life insurance policy, lately I've talked to clients, and we've been adding the children or the grandchildren on the life insurance policy. Now, when you are your children, your grandchildren are 18 years or younger, or in some policies require you to be 17 years or younger. There's no physical to add your child on the policy. Now, you could have children on the spectrum, and with children with autism, this is an opportunity to put them on your life insurance policy as a child writer. Now, when that child turns 25 years young, they'll be spun off on it. They'll often get offered their own life insurance policy to pay it on their own. Good luck with that. You know, I have two sons, and I have policies for both of them, and I'm not, I'm not canceling those policies. Now, you know, I just want to be responsible. I don't want anything to happen to my boys, but you know, I'm just.. it's not that much money, because I bought the policies when they're very young. But here is an opportunity, coverage for children and grandchildren to add them on your life insurance policy as a writer. Now you know, now, whatever your face amount is on the policy, you know, and one box doesn't fit all. Sometimes I have wiggle room where I can add more coverage on the child rider policy, but again, the children does not have to take a physical. Now we just add them on, we ask a few, but maybe about four health questions. Does the child have AIDS at the any organ transplants? I mean, just, you know, does the child smoke, you know, just simple question, not nothing too in depth, and you know, most of those answers are no. Fortunately, and we just add the child on deposit, it's a minimal fee, but what you pay each month, but you, you offering coverage to your children and your grandchildren that could be added on your policy. We have a Quit Smoking Advantage program through America Life Insurance Company. As long as you stop smoking within 36 months, you'll be rated with the no smokers rate. You know that is within itself. I've never seen this program before. There's only one insurance company, and I represent 60 life insurance companies, and it's up to, you know, up to $450,000 in coverage. Now, most people go with the whole life, 50 up to $50,000 whole life. Whole life does build cash value, they like that cash value asset, and they pay into it every month, and that $50,000 of coverage, there's no physical up to $450,000 if we're talking about term IUL universal life, up to $450,000 of coverage, no physical, and in this instant, so when I'm on the phone and with you, or face to face with you, we talk about your coverages, and we go, and you see everything, and we talk about everything over the phone, and you know exactly what you're going to pay, and you get qualified immediately. There's no physical up to $450,000 of coverage. No physical rates and benefits are locked in for the life of Pollack of the policy, and most people qualify for the coverages, even with health issues. Oh, I mean, how can you go wrong? And my seniors out there that are listening to this program right now, I know budget, your budget is tight. I went to two funerals in 10 days, one was a cremation with a service, and the other one was a full, you know, full funeral with the casket and the remains on to be seen, but these funerals today are very expensive, and you don't have to be a senior to fully understand the expense of these funerals, because you know, unfortunately, in life, you know, people die at all ages. Are you going to be prepared to pay that large funeral bill? Because it is devastating to families to lose a loved one. My heart goes out to families. I attended their funeral services, and you know, the one I attended was very emotional, almost had me crying. It was just, you know, people just crying, and it's hard to lose a mother. Ooh, I lost my mother, and my world just was upside down for a long time. I lost my dad, you know, and it just.. I had to take care of my mom. When I lost my dad, I had to take care of my mom. It just seemed like I didn't really have time to grieve, because I had to go right in, start taking care of my mother to make sure she was okay, because I know she was devastated, and we all were, but you know, when you're a son and you have to take a step up to the plate and make sure your mom's okay, but when you know I went to one service and the mother had lost her daughter, you know to. Who underlying health conditions, and I just think about the many people that's out there with underlying health conditions, and think they cannot get life insurance. Let me tell you, let me listen carefully. You can get life insurance. I work with your budget. My seniors, that's listening to this program, I will work with your budget, 702-236-2624 My name is Don Marquezo. You can call me Donald. Don or Donald works for me, because people call me, you want to be called Don or Donald. Either way, that's fine. People that know me, but known me for a long time, they call me Don. Now, as when I turned 55 yeah, I'm up there. When I turned 55 people started calling me Donald, so I was like, "Alright, I'm Donald now. But you know, my life insurance client clients, either mr. Marquez, Donald, or Don, just depends on how long you've known me. Yeah, again, I'm not like a machine. You call me, I'll give you a quote, you know, that's it. No, it's more to it than that. I look at it as, you know, I'm gonna take my time, I'm gonna ask the right questions, I'm gonna give you the right information, so we fully understand what you know. If we could save you money on that auto insurance. Why not? That'll give you enough money left over to put money toward a life insurance policy. 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 If you have COPD, diabetes, right lupus, kidney disease, liver disease, Alzheimer's dementia. Now, if you do have Alzheimer's or dementia, or you have a loved one with Alzheimer's dementia, I can get a - I can get them a life insurance policy. If you have a family member that's kind of out there, you know, in the world out there, and just don't want to take care of business, but you could be responsible, and they have an alcohol or drug problem. I can help you with the process, step by step. It's not that hard payment methods, monthly draft directly out of your checking account. You can select between the first and the 28th of each month for your insurance. Don't get an accidental only life insurance policy, something that comes in the mail, and when you go online to put all your valuable information online to buy any insurance product, well, you're opening up for a lot of phone calls. I do not share your personal information with anyone or any company, only the insurance company that we select for you, that's the only company that's going to notify you, or I'll call you up and make sure everything's okay. My name is Don Marquez. This is your Insurance Connection Broadcasting K U N V 91.5 jazz and more every Sunday morning from 8am to 830 Everyone have a beautiful week, stay cool.
