Let your light so shine before men that

they may see your good works and glorify

your Father in Heaven.

Matthew 5 verse 16.

What was like the worst job you had? Like

the most basic, not career related, entry

level? Do you have anything like that?

I was a locker room

attendant at a athletic club.

And so mainly we cleaned the club but we

also had to wash the towels.

Oh man.

So and then you know you're walking in

the locker room so there was obviously a

boy and a girl that were the two

positions and so I'd have

to walk in the men's room.

And you know some reason old guys like to

stand around naked talking and then hand

you their towels right

after you know using it.

And then just you know stuff like

cleaning out drains and you know things

clogged in the showers

and cleaning all that.

So very janitorial.

Yeah in a sense yeah and so it was just

stuff with body hair

and things just gross.

Yeah no thanks.

Hot tubs were the worst.

Man steam rooms because

they sit in there naked.

How about you?

The worst job?

Yeah or something like that.

You were allowed to change the adjective

but that's kind of what I'm...

Yeah it wasn't the worst job it was just

had some gross aspects to it.

I mean I hated my job when I worked in a

gym doing personal training

sales and stuff like that.

But didn't you like the physical training

part or just hated the sales part?

Oh I absolutely hated the sales part.

I just didn't even... I don't want to say

I didn't do... it's just what they did

was so like unethical and what they would

want you to do that it was

just like I couldn't even...

I would do it the way that was right and

would do everything by the book as far as

like what is correct but like what they

wanted you to do I was just like it was

just so uncomfortable.

I would say that was

definitely my worst job.

You're making me reconsider my answer

because my photography job there was a

sales aspect and like...

And it was just a little

self contradictory too.

Pizza Hut would have been my worst one.

I worked there very briefly until I was

robbed so fun fact I was robbed

delivering pizza once.

And then the cops made me go back to

where it happened to walk them through

this and I was like I don't want a beer.

I quit shortly after that and my manager

or the... it's not my manager but I guess

like the general manager I

guess he was like he was...

Not a word I'm gonna say on a Christian

podcast I'll put it that way and also

like don't eat a Pizza Hut.

It's gross.

I think it's just

gross. It's gross anyway.

Just wait till you see behind the scenes.

I also had a weird job very briefly when

I when I started working for myself.

I don't even know. I don't

even know if you know this.

I did samples like at the grocery store.

Like carpet samples.

No like food samples.

I did it. I only did

it for like a few weeks.

And you know how they baited me.

They advertised that it was doing alcohol

samples so I thought you know I was gonna

let people try a little whiskey or

something and it was

gonna be like kind of fun.

You know because I enjoy whiskey you know

and a good beer you know

I have something I enjoy.

But they kind of baited and switched me

and it was just doing like these food

things so sometimes I had to

like toast it or microwave it.

I only did it a couple of times and I was

like forget this because I was just doing

it for a little extra money while I built

my freelance business up.

But anyway.

Today we're gonna be talking about

integrating faith in the workplace.

I did a bad job at doing that at all of

those jobs I think I would probably say.

I think I kind of did a good job because

I wasn't bad at the job.

I did good. I did good

at it but I did it my way.

What I thought was right

in the eyes of the Lord.

I don't think I was really getting people

to the Lord there as

far as you know preaching.

I was saying preaching but you know but I

was trying to let my light shine.

Yeah. And what I was doing.

And sometimes that's

all you can do. Yes it is.

So we just thought it'd be fun to kind of

discuss some ideas because maybe it'll

inspire you and even if you don't take

any of the ideas we have maybe it'll

spark a different idea.

So sometimes it's just nice to get a

fresh perspective on things.

Is something wrong? No I just it was I

heard something it was

weird my ear first I can't.

Yeah the way I thought it cut out. So I

just want to go check the audio real

quick because I thought

something bad happened.

Everything's OK.

You want to start us off? Sure. I think

faith in the workplace where you can do

it to where you're not so out out.

Outspoken with it in a sense of like so

to integrate your faith in the workplace

through obviously integrity and

excellence and service

rather than being preachy.

So that whole mentality of like lead by

example by putting yourself in situations

or taking yourself out of situations that

would compromise your faith and compromise your thing.

So obviously you could find people that

are like minded you know because

sometimes you could be in a workplace

where it's fully secular and

you might be the only believer.

But you also don't want to basically be

the preachy one that's always you know

bringing up like whatever you know like

talking about it's more so like lead by

example lead by doing to where people see

that you're being being.

The light being the you know being how

you're supposed to be.

You don't cast your pearls before swine

like if they're not open to receiving it

and you're just forcing it they're going

to become resistant to that.

Right. Like it was almost like like this

is in the workplace but when I was in

college especially being in the art

department there was a very secular kind

of wing of it all like obviously you had

you also had a lot of people that did you

know the more kind of earthy witchcraff.

Yeah I work in advertising so it's very

much the same thing.

And so my experience was by living

through example whether it be the subject

matter or the things I did would bring

conversations up with people about like

you know explaining the reason behind

certain works or behind certain things

rather than going like oh I'm just going

to illustrate a scripture and put this

and make it and be

standoffish in that sense.

And in a sense be a part of a group and

part of like a group of people that

wouldn't and then through those

interactions eventually get to points in

time where you can share the word where

you can be open about your faith and talk

about things to where like I even had on

one of my pieces the guy that was running

the photography lab.

He had like a almost like kind of like a

Jesus look to where if I put like a cloth

over him I was able to photograph him to

kind of do something but he was very

scorned by the church at a young age and

it was healing for him to like pose for

that but also the conversations we had

and the experiences I had to where he

didn't experience but he could kind of

see and kind of get healing from that and

also kind of be open to that.

That where you wouldn't have if you just

either were totally shut off or in your

face about Christ or God all the time.

Yeah because I think a lot of people have

turned away from the church because they

felt scorned by a Christian.

You know when their fellow members of the

congregation or even the church or pastor

itself you know whether it comes from

judgment or whatever and I

think that's a huge problem.

I think the whole being judgy thing is a

lot of big turn off for non-believers and

things like that because you know not to

say you are but like because obviously

you want to humble yourself before the

Lord and humble yourself in general but

people sometimes see and go like well I

was just really judged.

Really hard by someone so they hear

you're a Christian or they hear whatever

and they're like I'm not going to tell

you about my weekend.

I'm going to tell you because you're just

going to judge me. You're just going to

like they don't want to be in a place of

judgment so like to kind of to be that

example but then be in the understanding

that you're not partaking

in those type of things.

Yeah where else you're going to find

people to win over. Right. You know it's

not theoretically I mean sure it's going

to be in churches but.

Well I mean think about this way like so

God wants us to go out into the world.

Right. It'd be really easy to be in a

Christian office with other Christians

and have this group of friends is all

Christian and just kind of feel warm and

cuddly inside and just hold each other

accountable or you can get in the thick

of it of people that aren't believers and

you know especially in the workplace is

the best place and you can

kind of do it that way in your.

You're being in the thick of it rather

than being in the comfort of your own

kind of bubble. Yeah. And to your point

I'm going to bring this up now doing

simple things like wearing a crucifix or

maybe for crucifixes or a shirt or

wearing or shirts like

little things like that.

Now that's a passive way of showing your

faith and that has the ability to open

the door for a conversation especially if

you are getting comfortable with your

coworkers and having good conversations

and all of a sudden they see like oh hey

what's what's your shirt.

Oh it's the it's the Hebrew for indoor.

That's what Dustin's wearing for indoor

right here. So it's because the camera

switching and also this

shirt is on our fourth wall shop.

Plug plug. Sorry. But I mean to what

you're saying with the guy with the sheet

over his head you know like in a

situation like that it opens the door for

the conversation and maybe it's like oh I

I didn't know you're a

Christian like oh yeah.

Or he was like oh I'm just kind of squint

by the church and we're like that opens

the door for a conversation. Right. Yeah.

And it also helps with you know how

you're presenting yourself and how you're

behaving at work and

how you carry yourself.

You know if if you're at a workplace

where there's lots of unethical things

happening or things that people just

aren't doing things right or people are

kind of selfish or whatever it is a lot

of that stuff is at the workplace.

If they know you're not that type of

person they know that they feel like they

can trust you and they also see that it's

like oh well clearly they have some kind

of faith and something right because

you're always wearing your crosses or you

always have some type of Jesus thing or I

always see that you you know you don't

partake in certain things.

And they'll notice that and to think to

themselves like well what's different

about you and what's different is that

you have the Lord right. And that's one

of the reasons why we're supposed to be

the salt in the light of the earth which

we've talked about on

this podcast a million times.

But even. Yeah. But even if you don't

have those things like even if you're not

wearing like openly like wearing a cross

or wearing like you know obviously out of

where that has like scriptures or things

like that like obviously I can't wear a

shirt that has like faith

based things in my workplace.

Being in a school but public school

public school. Yeah. So but going along

with like the you know through through

works through example leading by example

by showing outwardly like

well this guy's got it together.

What's what's the secret. What's like

he's not letting this get down. He's he's

not as impatient with the kids. He's you

know he's acting this way or it's the

idea of like walk the walk and not

necessarily talk the talk because he's not like.

If you're about to leave the talk because

then you're you know because actions

speak louder than words sometimes so like

your fruits you will know them so be.

Instead of being like hourly you know

preachy and just being like well I

believe this and then like if you just

kind of live your life and be like and

and you even talk about some whether it

be finances whether it be whatever like

I've used examples with kids or I've

taught things to them that you could find

in the Bible but you kind of take.

You don't take God out of

it, but you don't say like,

"Well, Jesus," but you say,

"When someone's treating you this way,

"how should you be treating them back?"

And just life lessons

and things like that.

So you're being that light,

you're being leading by example,

leading like how your life is,

because people see like,

"Oh, well, you're married,

"you have kids, you seem

to not let things get to you

"as much," and you kind of

let it kind of roll over,

and you're just like, "Well, yeah,

because God kind of gives

"me that patience

because everything else."

How did Jesus teach?

With parables.

Right.

There's a reason for that.

It's a universally easy

to understand, digest.

If you tell this little

story with a little moral,

that's how things click.

So I mean, there's

nothing wrong with that.

You make it relatable, you use examples

that aren't necessarily

in the Bible, but very far.

They're definitely true.

Right.

I have a biblical truth, I guess,

because of the foundation of morality.

Well, because it's like, you know,

when I had my show with the art thing,

is I wanted to, I visually

showed the 10 commandments

without saying it was

the 10 commandments.

Like each piece was labeled by a number.

So like eventually looking

at it, you could be like,

"Oh, this is the 10 commandments,"

but I wanted to visually

show and portray these things

without it being like,

"This is what the Bible says."

And so like people that would look at it,

form their own

questions and kind of be like,

"Okay, yeah, well, this is bad.

Okay, yeah, well, this is good."

And then it was like,

"Okay, well, look at,"

and then they put it all together.

They're like, "Oh, this

is the 10 commandments."

So it's just kind of

like a way of showing

without in your face type of situation.

Yeah.

I mean, like we said, you shouldn't

always try to shove it

down people's throats.

Yeah, be transparent.

Don't like pretend like

you're not a Christian

or not do whatever, but

like also don't throw it

in their face either.

It's kind of like you

got to read the room.

I already said that don't cast your

pearls before swine,

but like people need

to be receptive to it.

So by doing these things,

you might be making them receptive to it

by being the light first.

Well, and also by being transparent,

it shows that just

because you're a Christian,

it doesn't mean that

you live a perfect life.

So obviously if you

went like 10 years in a job

and they're like, "Oh, I

didn't know you were a Christian."

Well, then you're

probably doing something wrong,

but to where you're that

ashamed of who you're following

that maybe you should probably maybe

figure something out,

but like they should know.

So you shouldn't be like

leading a separate life

than you do at home.

You shouldn't go to work and be like,

oh yeah, with my buddies and like,

I'm gonna swear and I'm gonna do this.

I'm gonna do all this thing,

but then I'm gonna go home

and I'm gonna read my Bible

and have the separate life.

Like you should still live that same life

and be transparent in that sense

that they can see that you mess up,

you do things, you

slip up, you do whatever,

but then be like, oh, okay,

well, I know he's a Christian

and I know he did this,

but look how he's dealing

with it based on because of--

Yeah, because you shouldn't,

you shouldn't look like the world, right?

That's the other flip

side to this, right?

Like you're supposed to do everything,

when you're talking to people,

it's supposed to be

with like grace and love

and respect for everybody.

So it's just

important that even if people

are trying to have that conversation

that maybe be almost

argumentative with you,

if they do know that

like, oh, you're a Christian,

so then, well, what about this or

whatever that you're doing,

your response is gonna

be in love and respect.

They expect a certain response.

They are gonna expect that,

but also God expects

you to respond in love

because even you're not

there to win an argument,

even if they're

trying to get an argument,

the point of that is not an argument,

like, oh, I'm just gonna win it

because I know I'm gonna say this,

but if you're gonna end up,

you know it's gonna

end up making them mad,

that's not the point of it.

It's like, you need to do it in love

so that the way they can see

the light and see the love,

and that will have a bigger impact

than just winning some kind of argument

with somebody at work or--

And if you're getting the sense

that they're not asking

you things in good faith

and are just trying to argue,

I mean, guess what, it's okay to say it.

You know, like, hey, like,

are you sincerely asking me

in good faith or are you

just trying to argue with me?

It was like, if you have questions,

I'm happy to explain whatever I

understand as I know it,

if you're genuinely curious,

but if you wanna hear more about it,

gladly talk to you about, like,

you know, I'll just ask

you to respect my faith.

It's really simple as that,

and you might be surprised how receptive

most people will be.

I mean, I stepped out myself

with this podcast at school,

like, when we had a meeting, like, when

they're talking about,

like, what are some good things?

And I'm like, well,

I'm doing this podcast

and thinking, like, I don't know how well

this is gonna be received,

but some people I

didn't expect were like,

hey, can I get a card or

can you show me the link?

I'd like to listen, and I'm like, oh,

and that's kind of open doors to be like,

okay, here's some people I can talk to,

and here's some people to where,

because it is kind of hard,

because, you know, with public schools

and things like that,

it has kind of a,

sometimes a certain inclination

of like thoughts and

views and things like that,

but it was nice to

kind of have that outlet

to where you could

just, you know, kind of,

you know, yell across the

quad, like, on Good Friday

and be like, it's finished, you know?

And they're like, yeah,

just like my sticker, you know?

Or something like that,

and so it was just kind of--

It's nice to find, you know,

what, that you have that in common,

and it goes a long way, because I mean,

I'm self-employed, and, you know,

my industries are very similar.

There's a lot of very

secular type people,

so when you do find that client,

like who does believe in Jesus,

like sometimes we'll have our call,

and then we'll talk about

God or church or whatever,

and like you have that little,

get a little bonus

fellowship time, right?

You know, on top of your business,

which I think is neat,

and you know, this

podcast is an example too,

it's like I'm trying to expand

not only my voice acting career,

but my producer type work

as something to serve God.

Here's a little, there's a

piece of it there, you know?

And there's, this is

actually an extension

of other things too I'm working on,

and got something to

share in a few weeks,

which I'm really excited about.

So things like that.

I know that was really ambiguous.

That was, but now I'm looking forward

to a few weeks from now.

Yeah, I think it's a few weeks now,

we're recording this in advance,

so I'm trying to do the math that I had,

something like that.

June-ish.

Okay.

Exciting work, exciting.

Exciting, exciting.

Anyone else got, I've

got a couple more things.

I got three, two or three things.

I got about one more,

but I can also add on to

things as maybe I think of, but.

Okay, this is for a

particular type of work,

if you, something to consider,

if you have like a office,

so if you're not like

out in cubicles or stuff,

and I guess you can do it in cubicles,

but especially if you have an office

and people come in and out,

or why not just have

some worship music on?

Why not?

Yeah, I mean, I think it

depends on the work itself.

If it's.

As long, I think as long as it doesn't,

you're not violating

company policies with it,

if it's not in the policy, like,

hey, you're not allowed to listen to.

The whole office, basically,

I said I could listen to my music,

but it's a reasonable volume.

That's all I mean, like just,

gently in the background,

I'm not saying don't

worship the Lord at work,

but sitting there.

Laids in the back, cubicle going.

Hey, yeah!

Laids at work today.

Don't distract your coworkers,

but that's another

opportunity to potentially

open the door for conversation,

and maybe they're like,

oh, this song sounds nice,

like what is it?

Because it doesn't even

have to be a worship song,

it could just be Christian songs.

Yeah, right.

Or it could just be a

Christian band making music,

and it doesn't always have to be worship.

That's true, too.

I mean, these are all good options

that potentially open the door,

and also can help keep you grounded.

Yeah.

Sometimes you need a

good little reminder.

I love the trend right now,

because all these trends are stupid.

Which trend?

Because there's a few of them.

But the best trend right now,

maybe it's over now that

it's three weeks in the future,

everyone has a little

Jesus, the little pocket Jesus.

I'm gonna be honest, that

trend's been around for a while.

What?

Yeah, you're just behind three years

in your algorithm, I think.

Well, I'm just now seeing it everywhere.

I'm seeing little

reels, and like, oh yeah,

I have Jesus with me all the time,

and then I zoom in,

there's a little Jesus.

I've gone to the bathroom

like a year ago at work,

and there's a little Jesus at the urinal.

It was just a few months

ago, I went to the bank,

and I was shocked there was a

Jesus at the teller station.

I couldn't believe a big

company like Chase would have...

Well, somebody that was probably there

just left it there, and

then it just didn't...

No, it was his tellers.

Yeah, yeah.

Also, I went to go get some tacos.

It was at the taco shop.

Couldn't believe it, I was, I don't know,

just made me happy.

Are you served by Jesus?

I was like, what?

Gosh, no, I was not.

All right, I have one.

You have one more?

One.

You're punny.

He hates this.

(laughing)

Yes.

Do you have another one?

I think you should go, and then I'll...

I just have a bunch of

verses that people can reference.

I've got one too, so I

can go too if you want.

My last idea,

if your work will allow

it, if you can, whatever,

start a Bible study or a Bible club.

Doesn't have to be on campus.

It could just be with anyone interested,

even if you bring it up to your coworkers

and do it after work or during lunch.

Why not?

It's a possibility.

You never know.

And maybe someone would just be curious,

just like, let's see what these

Christians are doing,

and that could be all it

takes to change their life.

That's definitely a possibility.

Although it would probably be

hard to do at certain works,

but yeah, obviously that

doesn't apply to everyone,

and it would be very, very difficult,

especially like a public

goal would be difficult.

One of the ones, just kind

of an idea of something to do,

and this is more a

behind the scenes thing,

and then eventually people talk about it,

you bring other people on board.

Things like that is,

obviously pray for your coworkers,

but also not

necessarily do the Jericho thing

where the walls come down,

but you walk around, I

would walk around campus,

or go to other classrooms

and pray for that class.

Pray for everyone that

walks through this hallway today

who may be blessed, and

just pray over your workplace.

Ask by your boss's

office and pray for them

that they have a great day.

If certain coworkers don't know God,

just be like, hey, just ask that,

maybe put them in a

situation where they know you,

or they're quite

enough to hear your voice,

or just kind of go

around and you just do that,

and eventually you

start seeing those changes.

So you're lifting up your

school, lifting up your office,

lifting up wherever you're working,

you just kind of go

around from even this,

when you get in the morning

and you're in a parking lot,

you know all the cars in

the parking lot are employees

because maybe you're working retail

and they haven't shown up yet,

like praying over those

cars as they drive home,

and things like that.

So just kind of being

actively praying for

and just kind of going around and then

lifting everyone up,

believers and

non-believers and everything else.

And it reminds me of a reel that,

I don't know if you sent it

to me or if I just found it,

but anyway, we have an

episode that we never aired

and I'm not sure we'll be able to,

and I shared it on there.

It was, what's his name?

Michael Phillips, the 24,

Michael Phillips.

One, two, three, four,

yeah, the three first names.

Wait, did I say it wrong?

What'd you say his name?

It's Phillip Anthony Mitchell?

No, I don't know what his name is.

Well, whatever, it's three first names.

Anyway, that guy, I'm sure.

Point 19 church.

Yes, he had a really

good part of his sermon

and it was on a reel.

He has them turn off

the lights and he's like,

this is how the world sees you.

And like, don't forget,

it was just him and he was,

it was on a spotlight.

He was literally just being this light

within the darkness.

And if you can shift

your mentality that way

and also spiritually, remember,

that's how you should be striving to be

and that's how you should be appearing.

I mean, you're very

literally being the light, right?

And even if you're someone

like me who works from home,

you can do that on Zoom,

do that in your little

virtual meeting on your phone call.

Like put on a spotlight.

(laughing)

You know, it's funny

because I have to close everything

and it's really dark,

so I actually do have a spotlight on me.

So in my case, it is literal.

You know, I think one other aspect

that we haven't touched on yet

that can be really

important for people is

sometimes you might be in a situation

when people come to you

because they're going through something

because you might have

someone at work who trusts you

or maybe you're over them,

so you're their supervisor

or manager or whatever it is.

And they're going through something

terrible in their life.

Sometimes it's okay to just say,

hey, do you want, do you

need a prayer or anything?

Do you want me?

And there's nothing

wrong with that, you know,

hey, or you know, because

maybe you're just asking,

you know, if they say, no,

no, no, I don't believe it,

then it's, you know,

that's fine, that's okay.

You know, you're not pushing on them,

but there's plenty of

times where I've had,

I've asked them and I've

known whether they are,

I wasn't sure whether

they were or they weren't.

And I was like, well,

because I will do that for

you if you need it, you know?

And that could go a

long way for somebody that,

and obviously also be

very empathetic with them,

whatever it is that

they're going through,

don't just turn it into,

oh, well, this is a

great way for me to just,

you know, use the word of God

to like get you out of your low moment,

like use it to be that light,

like use it to show them love

that they may not get otherwise,

to show like this will, you know,

I care for you as a person.

I'm not just, you know,

a Christian and whatever,

like I care for you and your family

or whatever it is that

you're going through,

like show them that love.

And that could go so far for them

with their relationship with

God and that you don't realize.

And at the same time,

you have to do it in that moment.

So many times, you know, where people go,

hey, I'll pray for you

or can I pray for you?

And then that's where you leave it.

And that's that one

that doesn't feel anything

because you could either be like,

oh, they're just saying that to say it.

Maybe they will go home and pray for me,

but like do it in the moment.

I challenge you to just do right there.

So when you go like,

hey, can I pray for you?

Like they might be thinking,

oh, he's just going to say

he's going to pray for me.

But then you go like, all right,

is it okay if I pray for you right now?

And then that just shows that one,

it's that boldness and

two, you hear that words

and you're speaking to their heart

and you're allowing God

to speak to their heart

during that moment.

So like, I, you know, I

challenge that you do it

in that moment and don't just,

because I mean, a lot of times like,

even through like texts with friends

and things like that, like, you know,

or a friend will be like,

hey, can you be praying for me?

And they expect you just

to be like, yeah, sure.

And then that's it.

But they're always

shocked when you're like,

okay, can I, let's do it right now.

And they're like, well, right now.

And like, well, yeah, better,

no better time than right now.

And like, I'll pray for you later too,

but let's pray right now

and right in this moment

while we're here and that shows a lot.

That's also being that light

and being that

example for your workmates.

And if you are to piggyback off of that,

if you are in a situation

where it is a text and like,

okay, I'll pray for you.

It's a Facebook comment.

Like you see the news and praying what,

I've heard that before.

So now what I started doing,

and this is actually reminding me that

last time I posted it,

I didn't do it.

I need to pray.

That's a self reminder.

Before you type it and push send,

pray and then do the prayer for you.

So you don't forget.

Right.

So that's something I personally.

If I ever get any

type of prayer requests,

it's okay, I don't care what I'm doing.

If I have to leave a meeting at work

and go to the bathroom,

I'm gonna go and pray and

like, I'm gonna go do that.

Yeah, even if just a quick little prayer,

then you send it.

Yeah, because I feel

like there's way too much--

You want your yes, be

yes and your no, be no.

I think there's way too

much of that in the world too.

You see it on posts, be like,

oh, I'll make sure I'll

keep you in my prayers.

Throw some prayers.

It's like, okay, does that

mean you're actually praying?

Are you gonna remember?

Because I mean, I'm just

as guilty as anyone else

when it's like, I know other people are

going through things,

but then I'll go

through my morning routine

and I think we all go have like our

routine and our prayer

and sometimes you get stuck in a rut.

But there's things I forget all the time.

Like, oh, I forgot to pray for Johnny

who's dealing with whatever, odd.

I need to remember that next time.

If you do remember

that, immediately pray.

You can just

immediately pray for them, right?

But like we said, if

there's someone who's saying,

yeah, I need a prayer or

somebody asked for prayer,

just do it then and there.

Why are we waiting?

No better time than now, right?

Don't say yes and then forget.

So that's my little life hack

and it's working good for me

because I've definitely been

guilty of, oh, I'm praying.

Yeah, it was so easy just to be like,

yeah, I'll be praying for you.

Because you're just in the

middle of the doom scrolling,

like, oh, okay, yeah, I'll pray for you.

Continue doom scrolling.

Like, no.

Five seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds.

I didn't even go like that.

Because that could make a difference.

That could make a huge difference.

That could make the difference.

So that's what we're called to do.

Anything else before we wrap this up?

I got a couple of scriptures here.

Okay.

Just people to reflect on.

We've talked a lot,

but just to say, okay,

it's all good things,

but here's a couple of

Bible verses to keep you in it.

So first things first, whatever you do,

work at it with all your heart

as you're working for the

Lord, not for human masters.

When you're at work,

remember it's not for your boss,

who maybe you have a

hard time dealing with

or whatever the case is,

the company that maybe

you don't 100% agree with

on everything.

You're doing it for the Lord.

We're called to be the salt

in that light of the earth.

Be wise in the way that

you act towards outsiders.

Right, let your

conversations be always full of grace.

That's Colossians

chapter four, verse five.

Always, first Peter chapter three,

always be prepared to give an answer,

but do this with gentleness and respect.

It's always important to be respectful.

And I know we talked about it before.

Avoid foolish, second

Timothy chapter two,

avoid foolish and ignorant disputes,

knowing that they generate strife.

If you know it's just

gonna cause people to stumble,

or it's gonna be an issue,

and it's not even really worth it.

Somebody's bringing up politics

that are maybe against your Christianity,

because they're like,

"Oh, you're a Christian,

so you must be against blah, blah, blah."

And then it's gonna

turn into this nonsense,

like don't buy into that.

Don't take the bait.

Yeah, don't take the bait.

And do everything in love, right?

And you have these verses written down.

Yeah, I do have these verses.

There's more too, like Corinthians about

doing everything in love.

It's not about winning the argument,

but I'll send them out.

Yeah, and I'll put each verse

in the description of this podcast,

so you can reference,

because those were good little reminders,

and you can maybe

mark them in your Bible,

or maybe you can put them in

your We Who Endure notebook

as a little reminder, or a plug,

that we have a fourth wall shop.

Handy dandy.

This is, I wanted to order one of these,

so a long time listener.

This was their favorite verse,

so we put it on there,

and it was a chance to

see the quality of it.

I don't know if we can--

Can I name drop them?

If you want to, I was

just trying to respect--

Mama Zidin.

There you go.

Mama Zidin's favorite verse.

So she should be having,

she should have this by now, actually.

It should be weeks from now.

This notebook is pretty nice.

It's got little lines,

good amount of pages in here.

Imagine carrying that around

for your meeting notes and stuff,

and we might do some other verses too,

but that's a fun little--

Let's get started.

A fun little verse.

This is James 1, 22,

be doers of the word,

and not hearers only

deceiving your own selves.

That's the King James translation.

King James of James.

King James of James,

yes, King James of James.

King James version.

Square.

The King James translation.

James's eye.

Yes, is--

Or does that now become Jamie?

Or is it then Jaime?

Jaime?

(laughing)

Go back to--

Coming back around.

We have more shirts,

obviously you see the ones

we're wearing.

It's a child.

Yeah, we have youth sizes.

We have human sizes.

Wait, human size?

Child's birth sizes are not human sizes.

(laughing)

Careful.

We at You, We Who Endure.

Have a little--

Children are humans.

The Crown of Thorns.

And this is a corrected one.

This is small.

Oh, this is a small.

There's a small.

And they have a We Who

Endure on the shoulder,

just like the Hebrew one.

Yeah.

And we also have the

Saved by the Blood shirt.

My wife wears that one.

And we got more merchandise in the works.

If we haven't already

released it at this point,

it should be coming soon.

So always check that fourth wall shop.

You never know when

we're launching more stuff

and got some ideas for the summer too.

So be on the lookout for that.

So link to that in the

description of this podcast

along with those Bible verses.

Don't forget to follow

on Facebook, Instagram,

TikTok, YouTube, turn

on those notifications

for all the We Who Endure goodness.

We appreciate you

taking the time to listen.

We love you, be safe and God bless.
