Father in heaven, we thank you for the excellencies of Jesus, your son and our savior. We thank you for his immeasurable highness and inestimable condescension, his infinite justice and infinite grace, his utmost glory and lowest humility, his greatest majesty and transcendent meekness, his deepest reverence toward you and yet equality with you, his vast worthiness of good and the utmost patience under sufferings of evil, his exceeding spirit of obedience with supreme dominion over heaven and earth, his absolute sovereignty and perfect resignation, and his self sufficiency and entire trust and reliance on you.
