Carter Conlon | Daily Devotionals

Turn to the Father as the source of your strength and trust him to carry you where you cannot go by yourself.

Show Notes

Mark 14:36. Jesus said, *All things are possible unto thee.* Jesus prayed these words in the garden at the moment of greatest pressure. He acknowledged his Father as the source of all strength. He didn't deny the weight of what was before him, but he surrendered himself fully to the will of his Father. In his humanity, he did not rely on natural strength alone. God enabled him to go forward in a strength that was not his own. This prayer reveals where strength is truly found. When the fire comes, surrender must replace self-effort. God provides strength for every journey that he ordains. Even Christ did not carry the weight alone. Stop trying to obey God today in your own power. Turn to the Father as the source of your strength and trust him to carry you where you cannot go by yourself. Talk to God because it's time to pray.
