Welcome to Daily Darshan, Finding Your Why. Hey friend. Yes, I'm talking to you. The one who almost didn't show up today, who started to listen three times and got distracted, the one who wondered, is this even going to help me? First of all, I see you.
Ezina LeBlanc:Second, you're in the exact right place because today we're gonna talk about your why. Not your, I guess I should probably do something with my life why. Not your, it would be nice if things magically worked out why. I'm talking about your deep in your bones, get you out of bed before the alarm makes you do hard things on a Tuesday night kind of why. And before you panic and think, oh great, I don't have a why.
Ezina LeBlanc:I barely have a laundry system. Let me just say relax. Nobody is born with a perfectly laminated life purpose tucked into their baby blanket. You figure it out messily, loudly, usually while crying in your car at some point. Let's start with the truth.
Ezina LeBlanc:Most people don't fail because they're not talented. They don't fail because they're not smart. They fail because they quit and they quit because they don't have a strong enough why. Because when your why is weak, everything else feels optional. I'll start tomorrow.
Ezina LeBlanc:It's too tight. It's too hard. Maybe this just isn't for me. But when your why is strong, oh, everything changes. You don't negotiate with yourself anymore.
Ezina LeBlanc:You don't ask, do I feel like it? You say this matters too much not to do it. Let me paint you a picture. Imagine two people wake up at 5AM. Person A wakes up because they read somewhere that successful people wake up early.
Ezina LeBlanc:They hate it. They stumble around like a confused raccoon. They quit by Wednesday. Person B wakes up at 5AM because they're building something that could change their family's future. They're tired, but they're driven.
Ezina LeBlanc:Same alarm, different why, different outcome. Your why is not supposed to be cute. I think we've been sold this idea that your purpose is supposed to sound like a Pinterest quote. My why is to live, laugh, love and drink herbal tea while journaling. No offense to herbal tea, but your why needs teeth.
Ezina LeBlanc:It should make you a little uncomfortable. It should stretch you. It should scare you just enough that you can't ignore it because your why is not about being comfortable. It's about being called. So how do you find your why?
Ezina LeBlanc:Let's break it down. Number one, pay attention to what makes you angry. Yes, I said angry. Not everything meaningful shows up wrapped in inspiration. Sometimes it shows up as this is not okay.
Ezina LeBlanc:Does it drive you crazy that people feel unseen, that kids don't have opportunities, that women are told to play small, that you've been living a life that doesn't feel like yours, that fire, that frustration, that's a clue. Your why often lives in the space where you say there has to be a better way. Number two, look at what you can't stop thinking about. You know that idea that follows you around, the one that pops up in the shower, in traffic, while you're trying to watch Netflix, that's not random. That's persistence.
Ezina LeBlanc:That's your brain saying, Hey, hey, hey, remember me? I'm important. Most people ignore it because it feels inconvenient, but your why doesn't care about your convenience. Number three, identify who you want to help. Here's a shortcut.
Ezina LeBlanc:Your Why is almost never just about you because saying I want to be successful is nice, but it won't get you through the hard days. But I want to show my kids what's possible. I want to create opportunities for people like me. I want to prove that where you start doesn't define where you end. Now we're talking.
Ezina LeBlanc:Because when your why includes someone else, it gets stronger. Let's talk about fear. Because the second you start getting close to your why, fear shows up like an uninvited guest who eats all your snacks. Fear says, what if you fail? What will people think?
Ezina LeBlanc:Who do you think you are? And listen, fear is loud. But your why, your why is stronger. Not quieter, not softer, but stronger. The goal isn't to eliminate fear.
Ezina LeBlanc:The goal is to make your why so big that fear doesn't get the final vote. Real talk moment. You are not stuck. I know it feels like you are sometimes. You feel stuck in a job you don't love, a routine that drains you, a version of yourself that you've outgrown.
Ezina LeBlanc:But stuck is not a life sentence. It's a signal. It's your life tapping you on the shoulder saying, Hey, hey, we're meant for more than this. Come on now. And why your why?
Ezina LeBlanc:Oh my goodness, that's the map out. And let me say something that might sting a little bit. If you don't know your why, you will keep building a life over and over that doesn't fit you. You'll say yes to things that drain you. You'll chase goals that don't fulfill you.
Ezina LeBlanc:You'll wake up one day and think, how did I get here? Not because you're lazy, not because you're incapable, because you were moving without direction. But here's the good news. You can start today, not next year, not when things calm down, not when Mercury is in retrograde or whatever. Today, you can start asking better questions instead of what should I do?
Ezina LeBlanc:Ask what actually matters to me? Instead of, What's realistic? Ask, What would I go after if I knew I couldn't fail? Instead of, What do people expect? Ask, What do I want?
Ezina LeBlanc:And let's be honest, sometimes your why is simple. It's not always this grand world changing mission. Sometimes it's, I want peace. I want freedom. I want to feel proud of myself.
Ezina LeBlanc:That counts. That matters. You don't need a stadium full of people to validate your purpose. If it matters to you, it's enough. Let's talk about consistency because finding your why is step one.
Ezina LeBlanc:Living it, that's the real work. Motivation is cute. Inspiration is fun. But consistency is where your life changes. And here's the secret nobody likes to hear.
Ezina LeBlanc:You don't need to feel motivated to show up. You just need to decide that your why matters more than your mood. Quick gut check. Are you waiting to feel ready? Because that's adorable.
Ezina LeBlanc:You will not feel ready. You will feel unsure, underqualified, slightly panicked. That's the price of growth. Nobody levels up while feeling completely calm and confident. If they say they did, they're lying or they forgot.
Ezina LeBlanc:Let's reframe failure. Failure is not the opposite of success. Quitting is. Failure is part of the process. Failure is data.
Ezina LeBlanc:Failure is feedback. Failure is the moment where you say, Okay, that didn't work. What's next? But when your why is strong, failure doesn't stop you. It redirects you.
Ezina LeBlanc:And here's the part I really want you to hear. You don't find out your why once and you're done forever. It evolves. What mattered to you five years ago might not matter now and that's okay. You're allowed to grow.
Ezina LeBlanc:You're allowed to change. You're allowed to want something different. Your why is in a cage. It's a compass. So what do you do after today?
Ezina LeBlanc:You get honest, like really honest. You stop pretending you're fine if you're not. You stop shrinking to fit expectations. You stop waiting for permission because nobody is coming to hand you your life. You have to claim it.
Ezina LeBlanc:And let me just say this, you're not behind. I don't care if you're 25, 35, 55, or 75. There is no universal timeline where you're supposed to have everything figured out. Life is not a race it's a series of choices and your next choice that's what matters. Imagine this a year from now you wake up instead of feeling stuck you feel aligned.
Ezina LeBlanc:Instead of questioning everything you feel clear. Instead of wondering what if you know you're tired you know you tried. That version of your life it doesn't come from luck It comes from deciding your why matters and acting on it. Final thought. Your life is not meant to be lived on autopilot.
Ezina LeBlanc:You're not here to just get through the day, pay bills and collapse onto the couch. You are here to create, to grow, to impact, to live on purpose. And your why? That's the fuel. So find it, claim it, protect it.
Ezina LeBlanc:And then this is the important part, do something about it. Not tomorrow, today. I look forward to connecting with you on the app, the Ezina app, or on the web. Until then, sat Nam.
