Welcome to The Sports Hangover Daily, I'm Sadie. Today on the show: Tampa embarrassing Dallas, Bucky Irving’s fantasy rocket ship, Jaguars survivor math, and Marvin Harrison Junior trade smoke. Coffee first. Then we yell.

The Cowboys lost at home to the winless Buccaneers, with Baker Mayfield out, in prime time, as survivor chalk.
That is not a loss. That is a group text crime scene.
Tampa beat Dallas twenty-four to sixteen, got its first win, and did it with Jalon Daniels making his second NFL start. Daniels was clean: nineteen of twenty-five, one hundred eighty-nine yards, one touchdown, no picks. Nothing flashy. Just grown-up football, which looked exotic next to Dallas stepping on rakes.
Bucky Irving was the problem. Twenty-one carries, one hundred sixty-five rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, one receiving touchdown. Tampa had four hundred nineteen yards of offense and two hundred forty-one on the ground. That’s not a cute upset. That’s a team getting dragged around its own house.
Fantasy-wise, Irving just changed lineups. If that workload sticks, he’s not some flex debate anymore. He’s an every-week starter until Tampa gives you a reason to stop.
Dallas? Dak Prescott threw for three hundred sixteen yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. George Pickens went off with nine catches for one hundred thirty yards and a score. CeeDee Lamb had two catches for nine yards.
That is the part that should make Cowboys fans twitch. Lamb isn’t broken. But your best receiver cannot vanish when your quarterback throws forty-two times.
And the finish was gross. Alex Anzalone picked off Dak with just over a minute left. Dallas fell to two and three. Tampa moved to one and four.
Also, the local model had Tampa plus eight and a half. The Bucs won outright. Not a victory lap, but yes, the board gets to talk a little trash today.

Around the league: survivor pools got nuked. Dallas was the obvious Thursday safety play for a lot of people. Gone. Deleted. Toast with a tiny star on it.
My survivor pick this week is Jacksonville over Philadelphia. Jacksonville has the better model profile, and Philly’s offense is beat up. Pool-wise, Dallas chalk dying gives you leverage. The trap is London. Weird kickoff, weird bodies, and late Eagles upgrades could tighten everything.
That Eagles injury report is nasty. Saquon Barkley did not practice Thursday. DeVonta Smith did not practice. Marquise Brown did not practice. Dallas Goedert was limited.
For fantasy, Will Shipley is the contingency name if Barkley keeps trending badly. Not because we love backup running back roulette. Because touches are touches, and London lineups lock early. Set an alarm like an adult. Or at least like a panicked degenerate with coffee.
A few more injury-board notes matter for Sunday lineups. Breece Hall did not practice Thursday, which puts Braelon Allen into handcuff-watch territory. Nico Collins and Tank Dell were both limited for Houston. Ashton Jeanty was limited for Vegas.
The Vikings cluster is messy too. Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and Aaron Jones were all limited. If you roster any of them, Friday’s designations matter more than your vibes.
Also, Ja’Marr Chase was limited Thursday. If he’s active, you’re starting him. Don’t galaxy-brain your way into benching your star receiver because an injury report made you nervous.
On the NBA preseason side, Celtics beat the Cavs one twenty-four to one thirteen. Boston dropped seventy-one in the first half, and Luka Garza had twenty-two points with ten rebounds. Yes, preseason. But scoring seventy-one before halftime still makes the other team look like it forgot defense was on the itinerary.
In hockey, Dallas shut out Buffalo four to nothing. Mikko Rantanen had one goal, three assists, and Jake Oettinger posted his second straight shutout. Your star fills the sheet, your goalie gives up nothing, and everyone gets to pretend it was normal.
Boston also beat Utah six to one behind David Pastrnak’s two goals and two assists. Colorado beat Calgary seven to three. The NHL spent Thursday night reminding everyone that October goalies are still finding their coffee.

The Marvin Harrison Junior trade smoke is real enough that Arizona needs to kill it today.
Not manage it. Not massage it. Kill it.
PFT says the trade rumors have intensified. ESPN says Arizona is not shopping him, but teams are doing due diligence. The Colts are specifically mentioned. Harrison also hired Todd France and Tory Dandy after previously representing himself. That is exactly the kind of detail that makes front offices start sniffing around.
My take: the Cardinals trading Harrison would be malpractice.
You do not draft a receiver that talented, watch the offense wobble, then decide the receiver is the problem. That is how bad organizations stay bad. They keep treating premium young talent like a liquidation sale.
If Indianapolis wants to call, fine. Take the call. Let them say ridiculous things. Ask for too much and hang up smiling.
For Arizona, this should be simple. Build the offense around the guy. Feed him. Scheme him open. Stop making every young star survive your dysfunction before you decide he’s worth keeping.
Harrison said he pays it no mind. Good. Arizona should pay it plenty of mind. Because once that rumor gets oxygen, every receiver-needy team starts building fake trades in the mirror.
The Cardinals need to be boring for once. Keep the player everyone else wants. That’s usually the sign you have the right guy.

That's your hangover. Go hydrate. I'll see you tomorrow.
