Liza Gant: Happy Friday Mission
VO Christian School Families, and

what a beautiful Friday it is.

As we usher in the weekend with some
sunshine and prayerfully some rainy free

days ahead of us, we are praying that
things can get UNC cancelled rescheduled,

and we know that it's been just a crazy
time as this rain has just changed so

much, but we are also grateful for it
as we know that rain is a reminder.

Blessings in God's
provision and nourishment.

Well, today was a special
chapel, as in our older grades

through fifth through eighth.

We got to recognize some
exemplary students with awards.

And then I know for our kinder
through fourth, they got to

do awards in their classrooms.

But either way, what a great
reminder of exemplary students, guys.

It's not just those that
got recognized today.

It is all of our students.

We have 500 plus kinder
through sixth grader.

We are called to be examples.

It says in Ephesians six, 19
to 20, and pray for me too.

Ask God to give me the right word so I
can boldly explain God's mysterious plan.

That the good news is for
Jews and Gentiles alike.

I am in chains now still preaching this
message as God's ambassador, so pray

that I will keep on speaking boldly for.

As I should.

Now, these are the words of Paul as he
speaks so clearly that he's in chains.

Even though he was
imprisoned, he sought prayer.

He wanted boldness to share
the right words so people could

know Jesus no matter what.

That's what we are called to here
at Mission VO Christian School.

We are his ambassadors.

We represent Jesus.

In all that we say, in all that
we do, we are called to be models.

Examples of Christ's
difference in our lives.

And so that is what we are all called
to do, whether we're in kinder or we're

in eighth grade, all of our students are
called to be examples exemplary students.

Ambassadors for Christ.

And so today was a great
reminder of what that can look

like in really practical ways.

Mrs.

Hoach and Mrs.

Gribble launched , the amazing
shake that our older students will be

participating in, and they're reminded
our younger students as they get ready

for speech meet either way or practical
life skills to work on eye contact,

how we are enunciating and speaking to.

Being polite and greeting others.

And guys, it can seem like what on earth
does this have to do with anything?

But it starts there.

These little things, as we have eye
contact when we are talking to other

people, that we are taking the initiative
to wave, to give a high five a handshake

to an adult who walks into the room.

Those are examples of us standing
out as being ambassadors and

representatives of Jesus.

So as we get ready for speech, and
as we get ready for the amazing shake

in the weeks to come, would that just
be a challenge to step up and to rise

up in just the littlest ways with eye
contact, with a greeting, with politeness,

with doing the things that help others
to know that we're different, that

we stand out because we love Jesus
and we want to model and represent.

So a practical challenge that Mrs.

Hoach gave everybody is every day,
each and every day, whether you're

at school or you're out and about,
would you step out in faith and

would you greet three new people?

And when we say greet, not just hey and
kind of an awkward, shy thing, but really

go forward, initiate it, whether it's
an adult, another student, greet them

and say, good morning, happy Friday.

Hope you're having a great day and
say their name, because that little

piece is so personal and so meaningful.

When you look someone in the eye,
you smile and you know their name.

So we are excited to see how you will
be ambassadors for Jesus this week.

We can't wait to greet you, to meet
you, and to share the love of Jesus in

the little actions as we are polite and
kind and respectful to all that we meet.
