Kish Price (00:01.741)
Hello and welcome to Coffee with Dr. Kish now I will say that I believe we are in one of the most important times that we've lived through and I want to caution you that God wants to speak to you Okay, like in so many ways throughout your daily walk and so this is my first episode for this podcast, but
It's really in obedience. He's been telling me to do this for a while and I've been kind of slow walking it. And then he told me that there was some urgency behind it. And so first of all, I'll start there just by saying when God tells you to do something, just do it. You don't even have to know why you don't even have to try to figure out all of the pieces. He will start to reveal the what and the why. Okay, later, but.
in obedience, that is why I'm here. So thank you for joining me. And I hope that this will be a blessed time of fellowship and just getting deeper into God's word and understanding what he's calling for us to do in this time. Now, I will say, just to give you a little bit about my background. So I have been walking with the Lord for quite some time. Obviously, we all have.
You know, God's been walking with us. The question is, are we aware? And so I've been aware of his presence from an early age, like six or seven, really. And of course, when that happens, a lot of times people question, you know, well, what was that like? you know, was it just something that was forced by your parents or was that, and that was not the case for me. I actually had an interesting encounter with the Lord.
Love music. My parents, my dad actually is a percussionist. So I was around music all the time and ended up being in the place where I was able to be, you know, at his band practices and all like music everywhere all the time, really. And so I started just loving to dance. So my parents put me in dance when I was four and I kind of just started dancing in all different genres and really excited about.
Kish Price (02:22.174)
anything that had to do with music and dance. Well, my instructor was a Christian and so she led with that, right? And not in a, you know, pushy way. She wasn't pushing it on us, but you know, we had dances from all kinds of genres in terms of music, right? And one of those was praise dance. And so we learned this praise dance.
and we were supposed to go to a church in order to participate in a service and do the dance. Well, I remember learning this dance and being very like aware of this is different. Like this music is different. This dancing to this music is different than any of the other dances that we had done, right? We were dancing to Shotgun and Fred, know, gosh, what is his name?
gosh, Freddie Jackson, right? Like love songs. Like was interesting. Like the wide array of music, I guess I'll say, that we were exposed to. But anyway, this particular song, we're dancing and it's, you know, can't stop praising his name. I just can't stop praising his name. And we're dancing and it's the song and the lyrics were just so...
that I was in a place where I couldn't resist the even at that age like just understanding what I was saying like as I'm dancing and like singing in my heart if you will I was like connecting with the words right and and calling on Jesus and the whole song is talking about if you confess the Lord then you know call him up if you believe in the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost
call them up and tell them what you want. And then it talks about can't stop praising this name, right? So as I'm doing this dance, I just feel the presence of the Lord come up on me and like I'm still dancing, but I'm crying at the same time. And then to the point where when this dance ends, I'm just in a pool of tears, just crying. And my mom was like asking my instructor like what's wrong? Like what happened? You know, what's going on?
Kish Price (04:42.881)
And my parents weren't saved at the time, but my dance instructor explained to her that, you know, she she's having a moment with God, you know, she's OK, she's fine. Well, after that, shortly after that, I ended up getting baptized, you know, giving my life to Christ. My parents gave their lives to Christ shortly after that as well. And I say that because I believe that everything that has happened since that point
has been divinely orchestrated, right? Like God has always been present, obviously, in all of our lives. But the moment where we become aware of his presence and we become aware of his power in our lives on a daily basis and that he wants to commune with us and that his presence is available for us daily, right? Like daily. That is just a journey that
you can't compare it to anything. And so I'm grateful for that because did that mean that it precluded me from having struggles in life? Absolutely not. In fact, I might say maybe we were exposed to more struggles than the average person or the average family. However, I will say that I know how we were able to come through those struggles, the battles was definitely
Supported by God right like I couldn't imagine what someone would be able to Do if they didn't have that kind of support, right? Only because the reason why I say that is because I know in the moment like in those valley moments I've thought man like thank you I'm so grateful that you're with me God that I know that you're fighting for me that you're on my side that you're on our side because
If we didn't have that, if I didn't have that assurance and I didn't know that God was for me, like I think about what that could mean to somebody else and how, you know, it really does help to provide some perspective for people who are struggling and decide to do things that we, you know, a lot of people judge where we would say, how could they do that? Or I couldn't imagine doing that. And why would they do?
Kish Price (07:09.89)
You know, we really can't be in that judgmental place because to be honest, without God, anything is really, you know, with God, all things are possible. And without God, you're capable of doing anything like wicked or ridiculous, to be honest. Like that's just what it is. So I believe that God has given us some really great instructions about the battle that we're in daily. Okay.
Hear me when I say this, if you have come across this video, because I don't know who is going to reach, but if you have come across this video, I've already prayed by God, please bless whoever hears this, help them to receive this message that it falls on good soil, that the enemy cannot steal this message so that you can actually move forward in what he's saying to do. He is calling for his people to rise up. He is calling for his people to be equipped.
for us to be ready. If you didn't know, we've been in a war since go, okay? This isn't new. However, it is another level that we're engaged in right now. And so if you haven't already received that spiritually and your eyes haven't seen it physically, know that, hear that we are in a battle. But what you might not know, or maybe
haven't been exposed to is that this battle isn't against the people that we see every day. It is a spiritual battle. It is not physical. It's spiritual. But if we get caught up in the world's ways and we get caught up in these lies, we'll start fighting each other. We'll start thinking it's about the person. It's not. It's spiritual. So God gave us very clear instructions on how to fight this spiritual battle.
So that's what I want to talk to you about today. And thank you for joining me in this, but it's going to be very crucial because this isn't just about other people. This is number one about us, you and I, right? Like us doing what we need to do on a daily basis to be prepared for the battle that's against us in our mind and the battle that's against the enemy in general that impacts other people. Now, if we're not prepared,
Kish Price (09:30.732)
ourselves, then we're not going to be prepared to be able to help anybody else either. So that whole analogy about putting on your mask before you put on to help somebody put on their mask is real. But in the kingdom, that means we have to have our armor on before we can talk to other people about having theirs on and what that looks like. Because God wants us ready. Battle tested is what we are when we've gone through life and we've experienced not just the hills, but the valleys.
And we know that He's with us in all of it. And that is not just about this life right here. It's about the eternal life and what happens beyond where we are. And before I get into it and share these very real examples of what God is saying to do to be in preparation mode, I want to share with you that the reason why this is so near and dear to my heart is because for one, God said it and He told me to do it. But secondly,
If you have been in a place where you've lost a loved one or you've had a near-death experience or something to that, in that regard, you start to have a different kind of awareness of your presence, of your fragility, you know, that yeah, we're humans and yes, we think that we just get up every day and do what we want to do or what we feel led to do, but
none of us know how long we're going to be here. And so while we're here, we have the ability to make impact for the kingdom of God. And he wants us to be able to be strong in the faith and able to help other people so that, you may believe and you know that your destination is secure, but other people may not. And
our goal is not just about us being selfish and it just being about us, but also how are we helping the people that God has blessed us to cross paths with, right? Our family, our friends, you know, the people that he's told us to share with. So that's what this is about. Okay. So it's about you and protecting you and your family and your friends, but also your actual call to share with others and to prepare them for.
Kish Price (11:54.924)
their eternal life as well and living a life well here on this side. So let's get into it. I think that it would be beneficial number one. If you have a Bible, I'd love for you to join me in opening up to Ephesians six. If not, feel free to listen to the translation I'm reading from, which is the Good News translation. And I'm reading the Good News Bible. If you're watching, you'll see that I have this up.
holding this up because this was the first translation that I read actually as a young adult where I had an invitation from the Lord to read this Bible and read it as if it was actually true. And I know that sounds weird, you know, in the context of what I'm saying, but you know how sometimes things, if you grow up around something, just, it can become familiar. It can become like a bunch of cliches or something.
but I felt like God was inviting me to read his word as if it's truth, if it's real, as if it applies to my life in a very today kind of way. And so when I did that for the first time, my whole life just changed in ways that I had never experienced God, you know, showing up in his power flowing through me on a daily basis. And so
I welcome you to do the same. That same invitation he gave me, he gives to you to read his word as if you, it's real, as if you believe exactly what it's saying. So with that spirit, we're going to read this and talk about it a little bit. So this is what it says, and this is Ephesians six, starting with verse 10, and it's talking about the whole armor of God. It says, finally build up your strength.
in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power. Put on all the armor that God gives you so that you will be able to stand up against the devil's evil tricks. Let me pause for a minute. Notice it said the devil's evil tricks. It didn't say somebody's name, okay, besides the devil. It's all originating from the devil. The devil's evil tricks. For we are not fighting against human beings.
Kish Price (14:17.09)
but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age. So put on God's armor now. Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy's attacks. And after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground. So stand ready with truth as a belt tight around your waist.
with righteousness as your breastplate and as your shoes, the readiness to announce the good news of peace. At all times, carry faith as a shield for with it, you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the evil one and accept salvation as a helmet and the word of God as the sword, which the spirit gives you. Do all this in prayer.
asking for God's Pray on every occasion as the Spirit leaves. For this reason, keep alert, keep alert, and never give up. Pray always for all God's people, all God's people, and pray also for me that God will give me a message when I am ready to speak so that I may speak boldly and make known the gospel's secret.
For the sake of this gospel, I am an ambassador, though now I am in prison. Pray that I may be bold in speaking about the gospel as I should." Okay. And that was verses 10 through 20 of Ephesians 6. And that was Paul speaking to the Ephesians. So to back up a little bit.
Whenever you're talking about getting ready for battle or getting ready for a war, if somebody said to you right now, we're going and we're going to battle and we need you to join us, you would have questions, I'm sure, right? Like who's the enemy? What are you talking about? What do I need to do? Am I prepared for this battle? What are we using?
Kish Price (16:41.474)
You know, what are our weapons? Right? Those are the questions you have when you're going into a battle. Like, first of all, am I equipped? Am I able to fight? Am I going to be able to win this fight? So we have those same questions when we start thinking about spiritual matters. And sometimes it can feel so, you know, over there, you know, in some other world and so nebulous.
that we can't connect to it. We don't understand our place in it. And if I read that scripture and it sounded cliche or familiar because you've heard it before a lot of times, but if we're reading it as if it's real and it's applicable to us today, what is it that God's saying to you? What is he saying to me? What is Paul saying to us as God's believers?
in this modern day about what we need to do to fight. This is what he's saying, build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power. So he's not asking us to build up our strength on our own, which is sometimes where your mind may go, like you think about what you can do, but he's saying do it in union with the Lord. God will help you to do this. So put on all the armor that God gives you, not just certain pieces of it.
but all of it is necessary for this battle. These are the things we need to allow to just settle and grow in our spirit so that we understand how necessary this is. Like we're not just waking up every day and just going through the motions and just taking life as it comes to us. No, we are fighting on the spiritual battlefield because we know that what's happening in the spirit is impacting us physically.
Okay, what we're praying for or what we're not praying for is exactly what we're seeing manifest in the physical. So what God is saying through Paul to us in this passage, put on all the armor that God gives you so that you will be able to stand up against the devil's evil tricks. Why do we put on all the armor that God gives us? So that we can stand up. So that we can stand up.
Kish Price (19:06.54)
so that we can stand up. Okay. Why am I saying that? Because I'm thinking about how many times I did not want to stand up, didn't feel like I had the energy or the power to stand up. And then I would hear the Holy Spirit remind me of who I am and who's in me, like the power that's in me. Like, no, I don't have to crumble. I don't have to fall. I don't have to be on the ground.
and fear and hurt when I know who my God is. And I know that I've already won this battle. Okay. Like regardless, you know, it may look like I'm losing or I lost, but I know who my God is. And if you don't have that assurance, that's why we are in a place where we can feel defeated because you don't know for one that you already won the battle. You don't understand that this is spiritual and not physical.
You think that this is about these people and not a devil with his evil tricks. And that's what Paul is saying here. Understand what this is about y'all. This isn't about the people. It isn't about this crazy stuff that we're getting hit with every day. This is spiritual. So we have got to fight in the spirit. That's what this is. That's what God is telling us. So listen, he says, not only put on all the armor that God gives you so that you will be able to stand against, stand up against,
the devil's evil tricks, for we are not fighting against human beings. Hear that again. For we are not fighting against human beings, but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age. That's who we're fighting against. Let me say it again.
We are fighting against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers of this dark age. Okay?
Kish Price (21:15.636)
I know if you are anything like me and you grew up watching, you know, horror films and crazy stuff, know, with Freddy and Jason and all the nightmare on Elm Street crazy stuff. You may have like this idea of what the wicked forces may be like in demonic realms and not wanting to be involved at all with any of that because of
of your exposure through movies or whatever it is you believe that you, you know, kind of portals, if you will, into this dark world. But what God is saying here through Paul is that I need you to understand that what you may believe you're fighting against, which is a person who is operating under demonic influence or demonic oppression, that they are the ones that are the enemy. They're not.
It is the spiritual wickedness. It is the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age that you're actually fighting against. Well, why is it easier to fight against the person is because that's who we see. That's what we are presented with. So we start talking about the person. that person, they did this and they did that and they're this and they're that. Yeah, and they may be a lot of those things, right? They have exemplified or exuded those characteristics.
But that does not mean that that's who our fight is against. That means that they allow themselves to be used by demonic forces to accomplish these things, to hurt us, to oppress us, to in some cases kill, right? Still kill and destroy. That's what the enemy is about. To kill, still kill and destroy. Where God says that I came to give you life and give you life abundantly. Okay?
life more abundantly. So when God tells us that this fight is is already won, number one, but number two, I'm giving you the equipment that you need to fight because it's not that we are passively participating in this. We are active participants in the battle. He already won the battle for us.
Kish Price (23:36.738)
but we are supposed to be actively fighting and standing up against. And if you have been exposed to any kind of gospel or teaching that makes it seem as if you're not going to receive any kind of trials or tribulations in your life, that is not accurate Bible. That's why we have to get into it for ourselves and read. It is very clear that, that Jesus said, Hey, I endured these things and you will too. Like these...
It is not going, you're not going to be excluded from bad treatment and trials and tribulations and that we are to be armored up because it's coming our way. So let's go a little bit further in this. It also says, so put on God's armor now. Hey, I'm going to take a sip. Listen, hold on.
If you have your coffee, join me. here, listen to this, y'all. This is why I'm like, OK, God, I'm here. Here I am. I'm here. Send me. I'm reporting for for my assignment, OK, because he said, so put on God's armor now.
I don't know why this just hit me, but do you recall when David was preparing to fight Goliath and Saul tried to get David prepared for that fight by giving him his armor? Well, David tried it and he's like, I can't fight like this. This isn't my armor. Like it didn't fit. wasn't for him. That was not his armor. Listen to what this says again, y'all. Like what?
So put on God's armor now. What he's saying is, child of mine, I'm not only giving you the armor to prepare you to defeat this enemy, but it's my armor. And if you recall, like the meaning of using someone else's armor, it's meaningful because that armor has a story.
Kish Price (25:53.676)
that armor that belonged to that soldier or that warrior has a story, right? A story of victories, of battles won. God is telling us, he didn't say, I'm just going to give you some armor. Go and get some yourself. You you might be able to find it at the consignment shop on sale if you want it. No, he's saying, not only am I giving you this, but I'm giving you my armor, God's armor, my armor.
is yours. You have access to my armor. So come on, is that not good? Like am I, I hate that it's a podcast and I can't like get some confirmation, but if you're, if you're watching this, please comment and let me know if that hit you the way that it just hit me that God is so loving that he not only created the armor for us, but he made it clear that it's his armor and his armor has never
been engaged in a war or a battle that was not won, period. He is the victor of all victors. So he's giving us access to his armor and this is what it is. Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy's attacks and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground.
Listen, the evil day is here. That's the point. When the evil day comes, the evil day is here. You will be able to resist the enemy's attacks. What is that telling us? Paul is telling us as assigned by God that the enemy is going to attack y'all. Don't think he's not already doing it. So I don't know what's going on in your world. I don't know you personally, so I don't know. But I will tell you, I can speak for myself.
And that I know the enemies attacks that have come up against my family, right? And the ways in which generational curses have tried to attack my family that we are now aware of speaking against, casting down, denouncing, renouncing, right? Because it ends here. It ends with us. We're not going to allow the enemy to keep on with his tricks and schemes and thinking it was just that family member that dealt with that. And it was just that, no, this is a...
Kish Price (28:14.222)
plot and a plan and a scheme. So you got to come up against all this stuff. Okay, the lying, the trickery, the sexual sins, the division, the gossip, the what all of that. It's it dies. It's got to end. It has to have an end with you because you have the power to call it out and to tear it down because you got God's armor and you're having a renewed mind.
That's why it's so important for us to be in our word daily so that we're renewing our mind. We are crucifying the flesh daily and picking up our cross and being able to walk the walk. But if you're not doing that and you're not physically engaged in this spiritual battle, that's very real, then you will continue to see the enemy just run through, up and through you and your family.
because that's what he wants to do and that's what he'll get to do because you're essentially giving him permission to do it because you haven't put on your armor to come up against it. So that's why God is saying equip yourselves, like get ready, be ready. And not only are you fighting this fight today and tomorrow and the next day, but he said until the end, okay, so that you can stand firm until the end and hold your ground. Okay. So stand ready. This is what he's giving us. These are
the pieces of our armor. Stand ready with truth as a belt, tight around your waist. Truth. Now listen, I'm going to pause for that real quick to emphasize what that means. I'm just checking our time to see how much time we got together, but truth.
Didn't it say in the last days that there will be many false prophets, that there will be people... Listen, don't think that the false prophets are going to look like false prophets, that the false prophets are going to sound like false prophets. They're going to sound very familiar. It'll be pieces that you're like, yeah, that's right, right? Isn't it? Wait. You have to check the fruit and check the word. If it's not lining up with the word of God and the fruit is not fruiting for God.
Kish Price (30:32.748)
then you know is no God already told us how to judge this. Okay. So when you have truth as your belt and it's tight because you are in your word, you are renewing your mind daily. When you hear something that is not of God, he said that a stranger's voice we will not entertain. So when that stranger's voice comes, you're you'll know like, no, this isn't God. That's not what God said. If somebody's prophesying,
This is going to happen on that. Jesus is coming on this day at this time. That's not what the word says. That's not what my Bible says. That truth is not just wearing the belt. You know how you wear a belt and sometimes the belt isn't tight around your waist. Then the pants are hanging that you've seen this. I'm on my boys all the time about this stuff. Pants sagging or whatever. No, we don't need that. Think about trying to be a soldier and you got to run with some sagging pants. No.
That truth has to be tight. That belt of truth has to be tight. So you're ready. Okay, you have no nothing to like keep you from moving at the the rate that God is asking you to move. Okay, so that truth be tight around your waist the belt of truth and then it says with righteousness as your breastplate. Righteousness as your breastplate. Why righteousness as the breastplate? Because that is covering your heart.
Okay, that's covering your livelihood here. Okay, that breastplate of righteousness is saying you're firm in who you are. You know who you are because you are covered by the blood of Christ. You know that you're righteous because he's righteous, right? So you walk in that. You present with that, right? What's on your chest? What's here? This is what people see when they see you. So you're walking in righteousness. When they see you, they see God.
So we, that's why we carry his light where we go, right? In our homes, in the store, in the parking lot, wherever we are on our job, they should see that the light of Christ in us, right? And it covers us, right? So our sins, we should be confessing and repenting on a daily basis so we can walk in that righteousness that we've gotten access to through Jesus Christ. That's what he's given us. So that breastplate is to cover us. Okay.
Kish Price (32:57.014)
Not only does he give us the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness, but we also have shoes that have the readiness to announce the good news of peace. What does that mean? We got all the things in the world that we may want to do, but your shoes you put on to go somewhere. Those shoes are shod, the shod, your feet are shod with preparation. That's another translation. Okay. But basically saying your feet are ready to
speak the good news of peace, right? We should walk in places and bring the peace of God with us. Okay? So that starts in your home. It starts with walking in your room and then up and down your stairs if you have them and back and forth through your kids rooms and throughout your house and throughout your place with peace, praying through these spaces so that God knows, like not only are you aware of his presence, but you are
Asking for him to abide in your space where you are wherever my feet go. He's with me peace is with us in this place even in this studio where I am right now because God is with me. There's peace because I'm here because he's in me, right? So that's the Assurance that we have that we can walk in and share the good news So if you are listening to this and God has been nudging you to not only get in his word, but to share
You know, sometimes Satan will make you think that you're not prepared to be able to share with other people or try to make you fearful or like, I don't know what I'm going to say and whatever. He gets me with that every time. It does not ever grow old, but I always know to come back with, God, but God, I'm taking no thought of what I'm saying even now because I ask God, Lord, just guide my words. Help me to decrease, you increase, say what you want me to say.
I don't even know what I'm doing here, right? For real, for real. Like I know he told me to record this episode. He told me the name. I haven't even got the logo and everything together yet. Working on that. I'm just doing what he said to do. First step. This is it. So here I am. So do that. Whatever way that God is saying, show up and spread his word. Do that. I started with just, Hey, I'm going to talk to my people, my people, right? Like talk to my kids. I'm going to talk to,
Kish Price (35:18.818)
Family members, I'm going to share on my social media channels as I can. Now Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, as he gave me guidance to do it, I did it scared, whatever, still doing it scared. Just whatever he says to do, I'm now operating in his boldness, right? Not in my flesh of like, but what does he equip me to do? If I have God's armor on, I can do all these things, okay? You can do. So to get back to our
our armor here at all times carry faith as a shield for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the evil one. Listen to that y'all he's talking about the shield of faith.
the shield of faith to put out the arrows. Okay. The burning arrows shot by the evil one. So why are we acting like we're confused when shots are fired? Like, why are we acting like we're confused when we're getting attacked? Like, like God's mad at us because we're getting attacked. No, you are on the battlefield. The enemy is against you because you're on the other side.
So just have some peace in knowing that if you're around a bunch of people who just seem like their lives are just fine, you know, nothing's happening in their world. They never seem to be attacked. They are fine. Like everything's great all the time. That doesn't mean that their lives are protected in some kind of way and yours isn't or that you should not live a life.
you know with Christ because you don't want to be attacked. No, he's saying yeah the attacks will come but I'm giving you the armor for those attacks okay because this is why I care about my my kids and my my people. I'm not just going to leave you on the battlefield with no guidance and no instructions. I'm giving you the instruction so when those shots are fired your way these burning arrows shot by the evil one you have a shield of faith
Kish Price (37:34.368)
Okay. That will quench that will put out that will stop those arrows from penetrating you. Okay. So here's the thing. You know, when it says the weapon will be formed, it says no weapon formed against me will prosper. That's letting you know the weapon will be formed. The burning arrows will be shot by the evil one, but they will not prosper.
Because why? I have a shield of faith. I have a breastplate of righteousness. You can't come at me with stuff like you could if I didn't have that. You may come at me and try to accuse me of something, call me something, whatever. If I didn't have that shield of faith and the breastplate of righteousness and the tight belt of truth and my feet ready with the gospel of peace and good news, I would probably
be one of the victims, right? You would get me, you got me, okay? That's where I'd be. But because I know who I am, you can shoot your shot. You can go ahead and try to penetrate, but you're not. You're not. Because I have that shield of faith and because I have the breastplate of righteousness and because you have the shield of faith and because you have the breastplate of righteousness and because your belt of truth is tight and your feet are ready with the gospel of peace and the good news, right? That's why.
we're not going to be playing the same kind of game that somebody else is, right? You know, a game of defeat. Yeah, it may look like you're winning because the shots were fired, but are you really winning? Because the last time I checked, God rigged this for us to win. He already told us we're winning. It's won. The battle was already won. Jesus declared and claimed that for us. Okay. And so
The next piece here says and accept. Here's the thing. We have to accept salvation as a helmet and the word of God as the sword, which the spirit gives you. Okay. So all I heard this before and I was like, that is so good. All of the armor that we have received from the Lord is about protection so that our spirit is protected. Okay. But the word
Kish Price (39:56.586)
of God is the sword. That's the only actual weapon that we're using.
for offense, if you will. Everything else is defense, right? To protect, to protect, protect. But that word is the sword. That's what we use to attack. So we have the ability. That's why we got to renew our minds and speak this word because we're not just waiting for the enemy to attack with his evil schemes. We're declaring, we're attacking, we're advancing on the enemy, on his territory, what he thinks belongs to him.
We are coming for that. Okay, so if we get in a place where we can be proactive, okay, about and preventative about speaking this word over our lives, our minds, our kids, our kids' kids, right? Our kids' kids' kids, right? The people that we interact with, the seeds that God wants us to sow or water so that He can bring the increase. We start speaking that word. We start going...
after our communities like praying for our communities and for all God's people as they said in this passage that that is where the change is that is what God is calling us to rise up and do and be that's why he told me to wear the shirt today I was just like okay well what do you want me to wear what so the mindset is there we're in a battle y'all like this is real we are in a battle and although you cannot see these spiritual forces at
at play on a regular basis to identify and be like, that's the spiritual. You're seeing people doing these things. You're hearing crazy, heinous things happening in the world and you're like, how could they, how could they do this? And what you want to research if you're anything like me, look into their, you know, background and who they are and how they got to be where they are. Yeah, we don't even have to go there. We know they're the origin of it. It's telling us right here.
Kish Price (41:54.83)
We're not wrestling against flesh and blood. It's spiritual principalities. It's these wicked, wicked rulers, authorities, cosmic powers of this dark age. That's the enemy. That's the devil schemes, evil attacks. It's all there. That's the fight. That's what we're up against. So I challenge you today, Just as Paul said, and this man is in prison as he's writing this and he's saying, Hey, help me to be bold. Help me even in this place in, this burden.
and shackled and just oppressed place, help me to be a light here. Help me to be bold in saying what God has me to say even in this. So I'm asking you friend, I know you may not be in the best place. I know life may not be how you want it to be right now. I am in that same place with you. And still God is saying, I need you ready. I need you reading my word. I need you speaking to my people. I need you to speak my words of life.
freedom and salvation and righteousness over your situation and over other people's situations so that we can do the kingdom work so that we're not always on the defense that we understand God gave us this word as a weapon okay to fight so fight fight fight on fight on fight on okay and I will end by just saying I would like to
I would like to honor my brother's memory who was one of the strongest warriors fighters I've ever met and in the physical and the spiritual and he struggled, you know, with mental illness and drug addiction or good majority of his life and he actually passed away. He was murdered in prison and this just happened like, you know, December 2025 and it's still
playing out in terms of who did it and whatever. But guess what my family knew? We knew number one, we felt confident that that wasn't even, you know, for us to waste any tears on the, of rage, tears of rage against the people because we knew where it came from. We said, no, no, no, no, no, this isn't about the six guys and the correction officer who allowed it to happen. This is about a spiritual battle and we need to
Kish Price (44:22.644)
understand that and come against that and then pray for these people. And so also we know that my brother's life was such a testament to this struggle that he had and how, you know, this spiritual war is real. And we're just grateful that he's no longer having to deal with it, but we hate the way that it all played out. And I just,
I am encouraged by his life and his testimony to steal, even in prison, to impact the lives around him. He came out with a song, Lord Take My Hand. He recorded a lot of songs during his time here on earth, but that one is one that his wife was able to get produced that you can actually check out on Spotify or any of your streaming platforms called Lord Take My Hand by Clay Andrews. I encourage you to check it out and share it with somebody who may need to hear.
from his voice, his testimony. But anyway, I leave you with this encouragement just to fight on and know that God is with you. And if you're okay with this, pass it on to somebody else who may need it. And I'd love to pray for you right now and for us. Lord God, thank you so much for this opportunity to share and fellowship even for this brief moment in time. I pray that you help my brother, my sister that's listening to not just understand that we're in
this physical space, but that the spiritual world is real and that you have given us not just examples, but instructions, very clear instructions about how to fight. I pray that you give my brother, my sister, the ability to do just that and to know they're not alone, that you're here with us. You said you will help us to put on the armor and to fight. And thank you that we've already won. So I pray you reach them where they are right now and let them know that the victory is already theirs, that you've already gone before them.
that they are not alone, that they are seen, they're heard and acknowledged by you daily, even if they don't hear your voice speaking audibly at any time that they can open your word and hear you speak to them, that this word is real and it was written specifically for them, Lord. I love you. I praise you. And I thank you. And I thank you for my brothers and sisters that will rise up and make it their business to put on the armor that you gave us, this winning armor and to walk.
Kish Price (46:47.466)
in victory. It's in Jesus name we fight for you. Amen. Love you and thank you for joining and hope to see you again soon.
