So you want to know what the average cost to clean a 2000 sq ft house really is? Depending on the service, you're generally looking at somewhere in the ballpark of $150 to $400 for a standard clean — but the honest truth is that the number on the quote is only half the story. In this episode I lay three cleaning quotes side by side and walk you through exactly what the cheap one left out, so you can stop guessing and start knowing what you're actually paying for.
Hey y'all, I'm Jordan Brush with Prime Cleaning and Restoration right here in Tyler, Texas. I got into this business to set a standard — to show folks what quality's supposed to look like — and that's exactly what we're gonna dig into today. I'll break down why the lowest bid usually skips the things that matter most, how labor costs really factor into your price, and why "cheap" and "value" are two different animals. I'll also talk straight about that "you're overpriced" myth, because we want to work FOR you, not take advantage of you.
The way I see it, all you've really got is your word and your name — so when we quote a job, we stand behind it. If there's ever a problem and you come back the right way, we fix it. No worries. That's part of it.
If we can help you out — carpet, air ducts, restoration, all of it — give us a call at (903) 594-8007 or find us over at primecleaningandrestorationoftyler.com. We'd be proud to work for you. God bless.
Prime Cleaning and Restoration Podcast with Jordan Brush is straight talk on air quality, water damage, and what restoration really costs — from the guy who built Prime Cleaning and Restoration of Tyler from the ground up. No sales pitch, just the truth from someone who's done the work.
Hey y'all, I'm Jordan Brush with Prime Cleaning and Restoration right here in Tyler, Texas. This isn't really my business, it's God's business, and I'm just doing my best to run it right, treat folks the way they deserve, and set a standard for what quality's supposed to look like. Pull up a chair and let's visit.
So today I want to talk about something folks ask me all the time, and it's a fair question. What does it actually cost to clean a two thousand square foot house? Let me give it to you straight, then I'll tell you why the answer isn't as simple as a number on a page.
For a home around that size, most honest cleaning quotes are gonna land somewhere between one hundred fifty dollars and three hundred fifty dollars for a standard job. If you're talking a deep clean, or you've got carpets and air ducts in the mix, you might see that run up toward four hundred dollars or more. That's not me trying to scare you, that's just what real quality costs when the work's done right.
Now here's where it gets interesting, and this is really what I want you to hear today. Let's say you get three quotes side by side, and one of them comes in way under the others. Your eyes go right to that cheap one, and I get it, we all want to save a dollar.
But let me tell you what that cheap one usually left out. I've walked into more homes than I can count where somebody paid the low price, and the crew skipped the baseboards, never touched the air vents, and used the same dirty water in every single room. That's not a deal, that's just paying twice.
The thing folks don't always see is that labor costs real money, and good labor costs more. When I quote you a job, I'm paying good people a fair wage, I'm using the right equipment, and I'm standing behind every bit of it. That cheap quote, a lot of times, is somebody cutting a corner you can't see until it's too late.
I'm not here to tell you the most expensive quote is always the right one either, because that's not true. What I'm telling you is to look at what's actually inside that number. Ask them what's included, ask them what happens if you're not happy, and watch how they answer you.
Because here's the honest truth about my business. We give everybody our best, and if we miss something, you come back to us the right way and we'll fix it, no worries, that's part of it. A cheap outfit that ghosts you the second the check clears can't say that.
I remember one time I spent over two hours on the phone with a widow while I drove across Dallas, just listening to her. Her husband built skyscrapers in that city, and she just needed somebody to hear her. That's the kind of thing you don't get from the lowest bidder, and I'd argue it's worth more than the ten or twenty dollars you might save.
So when you're staring at those three quotes, don't just circle the smallest one. Look for the folks who'll tell you exactly what you're getting, who'll treat your home like it matters, and who'll pick up the phone if something goes sideways. That's the real value, and that's what you're actually paying for.
The way I see it, you don't have anything but your word and your name in this life. When I quote you a price, that price is my word, and I aim to keep it. I'd rather lose a job to a low bidder than win it by lying about what I can do.
So to bring it home, for a two thousand square foot house, budget somewhere in that one hundred fifty to three hundred fifty dollar range for a solid standard clean, and expect a little more for deep work or specialty services like ducts and carpet. Just make sure whoever you hire is showing you the whole picture, not hiding the parts they plan to skip. That's how you keep the cheap quote from costing you the most.
We want to work for you, not take advantage of you, and I mean that with everything I've got. So the next time you're weighing those numbers, I hope you'll think about the man behind them too.
