Beer, Booze & B.S. Podcast

Army sniper Drew Mathews came home from Iraq to a betrayal so shocking it went viral: his dad married his ex-wife.
In the final episode of Drew Mathews’ 3-part story on Beer, Booze & B.S., Drew opens up about the aftermath of war, family betrayal, custody battles, burn pit exposure, biker clubs, federal charges, PTSD, faith, and what happens when the people who were supposed to protect you become the ones who hurt you the most.
Drew served six years in the Army and says his medical discharge was connected to nerve damage and toxic exposure from Iraq burn pits. He talks about the PACT Act, how burn pits affected veterans, and why so many Iraq and Afghanistan veterans are still dealing with health problems years later.
But this episode goes way beyond military service.
Drew talks about the legal battle for his daughter, the emotional damage of his father marrying his ex-wife, and the TikTok video that unexpectedly blew up after he finally said out loud: “My dad married my wife.”
That one post went viral overnight.
Then the conversation takes another turn.
Drew opens up about being federally indicted in a chop shop case involving stolen vehicles and a high-dollar Baja boat, doing time in a halfway house, riding Hayabusas, getting involved in motorcycle clubs, becoming part of the Street Soldiers, and eventually walking away from the biker club life.
Chrissy, Paul and Drew also get into cult control, church hypocrisy, pastors with too much power, what happens when the cult leader is your own father, Drew’s current relationship with God after going through atheism, PTSD, combat memories, and how veterans are treated after they come home.
And because this is still Beer, Booze & B.S., the crew also taste tests:

Chrissy:

Let's get back to

Drew:

dad. Sounds like crab legs.

Chrissy:

I know I'm getting hungry.

Paul:

Yeah. I want some.

Chrissy:

Let's get back

Drew:

to dad. Sponsor.

Chrissy:

Dad's name is Bill, right?

Paul:

Yep. We are course sponsor.

Chrissy:

Quarters. Okay. So

Paul:

Page.

Chrissy:

He marries your ex.

Paul:

Yep.

Chrissy:

And you sign off Nice your child. How long was it then when you, like, got to see your daughter again? And what did you have to do to

Drew:

be able to had see because to file and go through court. Then even when I won so I I won $50.50 pretty much right away.

Chrissy:

Oh, you did?

Paul:

Oh, yeah.

Chrissy:

Okay.

Drew:

Yeah. It was it was pretty much

Chrissy:

But you really didn't know your daughter that well at that point in time because you hadn't

Drew:

I mean, I was in and out. Right? I mean, I was in and out, but, like, when she was first born, you know, I spent the first three months because, like I said She doesn't remember that, obviously. But we've got I mean, we grew up together most of the time. Like, if I was ever not doing military stuff, I'd be with her most of the time type stuff.

Drew:

And then I ended up getting obviously, getting out of the military. I did the reserves and stuff for, like, a a few years. So I was in Minnesota

Chrissy:

with After

Drew:

I got out of the military for my daughter.

Chrissy:

Okay. So how long have

Paul:

you how how many years of military do you have? Six. Do

Drew:

Six. Yeah.

Paul:

Six total? Yeah. Oh, so how long do you gotta get be in to get like a pension or retirement?

Drew:

So I ended up like twenty? Yeah, you should do twenty years or if you get like I got medically Discharged. Discharged. I got an honorable discharge. It was medical.

Paul:

I was Because you got, like, strep or something like that shit.

Drew:

We gotta get

Chrissy:

into that and explain

Drew:

that. So stuff, but

Chrissy:

What happened?

Drew:

Some nerve damage. So they connected it back to the military, but they've got a lot of people gone over to Iraq and Afghanistan are dealing with this right now. And I think it's fairly new within the last few years that they've been discovering it. They passed something called the PACT Act. So it's p a c t.

Drew:

Okay. I don't remember what those letters stand for. But if you were it's a presumptive something. But if you were deployed at all during certain years, you're in The Middle East, there's a bunch of kind of unexplainable stuff, and they're saying it's due to like, there was a bunch of burn pits. Yep.

Drew:

And so like twenty four seven, there's tires burning by you. There's people burning by you. There's there all their waste, all their shit, you know, all stuff like that. Like, these burn everything.

Chrissy:

Yeah.

Drew:

And you're like living in those environments. And then you're living next to generators maybe, you know, stuff like that. So like with us, we were just exposed to so much toxic shit overseas. And they're finding finding out like that fucks with your nervous system

Chrissy:

k. Which I never really where I go get my hair done.

Drew:

Yeah.

Chrissy:

One of the owners, she her husband was in the military in Ireland. Okay. And he he got testicular cancer.

Drew:

Okay. Yep. There's a lot of cancers.

Chrissy:

And that they're saying it stemmed from the burn pits. Yeah. More than likely because it's very common now in men of that age group and who was over there.

Drew:

Yeah. And thankfully, did hear about military and the VA are admitting it. Yeah. Because like Agent Orange, you know, they didn't admit that shit

Paul:

for ever. Yeah. Right. After half the people

Chrissy:

The Vietnam were vets got fucked.

Drew:

Oh, so bad. Big time.

Chrissy:

Mike's dad was a Vietnam vet and he got fucked really bad.

Drew:

But anyhow. Yeah. So they just So that's all good.

Chrissy:

So you that's why you left the military is you

Drew:

got getting

Chrissy:

out for okay. So you didn't even really even leave because you wanted to. You left because

Drew:

Yeah. For your

Chrissy:

med league.

Drew:

Yeah. There there was an option. Like, I can go be paper push her or I can take or I can take a retirement. Like, yeah.

Paul:

Yeah. But I see you. Bye. I'm out.

Drew:

I was also like, at the same time, I was getting a federal indictment. What do you mean? I was getting indicted federally for a chop shop deal.

Chrissy:

Because we we even got to the fight club stuff. Yeah. I'm kidding. So is this okay. I gotta just so much stuff to talk about.

Chrissy:

So let's go back a little bit and talk about what your life happened like. Your mom and your it's not your mom. Your ex your wife and your dad got married, but you had to go back to the military Yep. At some point. How long after that did you go back?

Drew:

So I get I get family leave and I come back. I was I mean, I was back there probably again, it was like six months, nine months, something like that. And I ended up getting a family leave and coming back. I we'd have to I do somewhere have a timeline that

Chrissy:

I mean, I don't need exact timeline, but I just said general, like Who the fuck is this track for that

Drew:

shit? There's a lot of back

Chrissy:

and forth.

Drew:

And at one time and then, like, I'd be back and we'd have to do so that, like, the legal battle for my daughter

Chrissy:

For your daughter.

Drew:

Won it right away, but then I ended up in in court for probably five years every couple months. For what? They it cost me over a $150 to keep my custody. So because

Chrissy:

she kept fighting you?

Drew:

She would just yeah. And it's what they call a high conflict, you know, and not talking down on anyone. Like, We just were very different people. Right? So love my daughter.

Drew:

My daughter's mom and I had what we had, was what it was, whatever. Surprisingly enough, I try not to hold big grudges or anything like that. And, like I would. Again, her theory. Yeah.

Drew:

I know. But then you end up like, I did that for years, and then I ended up just being bitter

Chrissy:

and hateful. I mean, I don't Like, I

Paul:

I did that too, and it's like with my life that if I did if I hold

Chrissy:

a lot do when you have a kid, though, because I

Drew:

would, like, don't hold my shit against me either. Right. If I don't wanna you know? For me, like, yeah, I've made a lot of dumb decisions, but I'm not an asshole. Right.

Drew:

Unless I want to be or I think you deserve it.

Chrissy:

So you're being federally indicted?

Drew:

Yeah, so at the time, so I'm being federally indicted. So during this time, I'm having to take pay breaks, right? So like, I'm thinking I'm gonna be making all this money with the army. Well, now I'm and I'm taking more time off and I'm getting emergency leaves. And I'm off for like nine months now going through custody and I'm running out of money.

Drew:

My buddy comes to me and he's like, and this is all 100% like I've been tried and blah blah blah, whatever. So I can talk about it.

Chrissy:

Yeah.

Drew:

But a buddy comes to me and he's like, hey, I know you're a car guy. And he tells me this story like, oh, we're getting all these recalls and we need to fix them. I I start fixing them, and all of sudden, he's like, oh, we need to change that number. I'm like, change what number? On the VIN, that's they VINned it wrong.

Drew:

And they're like, here's the title. And he shows me the title. And he's like, but see the VIN is like RR, not not TR.

Paul:

Yeah.

Drew:

Right? So I'm like, oh, and at the time they're like They're

Paul:

like, fucking stamp. Stamp. Fucking send it. Give me my money, motherfucker.

Drew:

And he's paying me good money.

Chrissy:

Is he working where Chris Gravik was? Yep. Yep. Maybe. In retrospect.

Drew:

Yeah. Maybe. But so he starts doing this and I'm making money and I'm paying my attorneys. And so like in my head, I'm like, we'll be fine. I know they're stolen, but I don't yet.

Drew:

Until one day brings in like this one of a kind, one off of one, it was a boat and he brings it in and he's like, I need every number on this change, blah, blah, blah. Like dude, like these, the thing about boats is they have VIN numbers inside. Yeah. They're made out of like, these

Chrissy:

are fiberglass boats. Hauls. Yeah. Yep. So that yeah.

Drew:

And it's

Paul:

It's all inside. Yep. Yep.

Drew:

And this is one of those big. It was Baja. Yep. Baja. 38 footer.

Chrissy:

Nice. Holy shit.

Drew:

Twin

Chrissy:

superchargers. Just ridiculous. I've got some pictures

Paul:

of it. Now that it's Probably That's

Drew:

100 gotten caught.

Chrissy:

You should send me one Yeah.

Drew:

I think they were, like, maybe a million bucks or $500 and like one offs.

Paul:

Dude, yeah. It's it's it's all

Chrissy:

So you got in trouble for that.

Drew:

So that's what popped us. And by the time he brought me that, he told me to change, like, all these numbers because they've got

Chrissy:

But did you know what you were doing?

Drew:

I mean, yeah.

Chrissy:

Kinda but kinda not. Dumb.

Drew:

I knew, but my thought was, like, I won't get in trouble because I'll just say

Paul:

I don't know. Shop. It's not my fucking shit. I'm just doing the work.

Chrissy:

Yeah. I'm just working for these guys. Oh, that were So the whole shop got in trouble?

Drew:

I was I ended up being honest. Yeah, they got popped.

Chrissy:

I had to

Drew:

be though. It was a part of my life where I was just like, have And I'm glad, like today I'm glad, but when they indicted me and knocked on the door and stuff, they were like, Hey, are you I had a name. They called me Axel. Because again, I'm a biker at the time What

Chrissy:

club were you in?

Drew:

So I started out in a club called Supreme Team. Okay.

Chrissy:

We were a Sounds gay. Yeah. Pretty much. We were Talked a

Paul:

the rockets. Rockets.

Chrissy:

Okay.

Paul:

Oh, that's why. Yeah.

Chrissy:

Yeah. I was gonna say Then

Paul:

What do you ride?

Drew:

Now I ride

Paul:

I'm not saying now.

Drew:

When? When? Then. Then. What were you riding a Hibusa.

Paul:

Oh, okay. So a 1,300 Gypser basically. 100.

Drew:

It was fast. Yep. And you can ride it all the way

Chrissy:

to Chicago.

Paul:

Yeah. You do do.

Chrissy:

It's like Just like a a literally just lay on.

Paul:

It's like a fucking bagger rocket. Pretty much. It's as close as you can

Chrissy:

get to a bagger rocket. It's a stretch out.

Paul:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's a badass fucking bagger.

Drew:

And you could like, I wasn't a big wheelie guy, but my like, the crew that I rode

Paul:

with god. I love wheelies.

Drew:

Up. They'd be doing stand up wheelies at 150, 180, just all the way down the highway.

Chrissy:

150

Paul:

is like starting speed. Yeah.

Drew:

Watch one of my guys literally get cut in half. He wanted

Chrissy:

to be

Paul:

lost around the corner and

Drew:

went flying and hit a tree and. Oh, Jesus Christ. Body literally.

Paul:

What

Drew:

The one sixty was

Paul:

So you had a Booze. What else any what other rockets you ride?

Drew:

Oh, I had an Aprilia for a while, and then that's an Italian bike. Yeah. Those really like that bike.

Paul:

Those seem badass. I would love that one, but they seem a niche y motherfucking

Drew:

Very niche y. Think there's one dealer in

Paul:

our Yeah.

Drew:

Yeah. Really torched. That shit. Yeah. So like, if you got a wheelie shit in there wheelbase

Paul:

You know what I really want? Have you seen the new BMW M 1,000 RRs?

Drew:

Just the ass. I haven't seen the Amic, dude. I Yeah. The ass one

Paul:

I want a BMW m 1,000 RR.

Chrissy:

You want everything.

Paul:

I know. It's a

Chrissy:

He wants a Corvette.

Paul:

That car that cross rocket.

Chrissy:

But he

Drew:

don't want

Chrissy:

He'll spend a

Paul:

lot of money.

Chrissy:

He don't wanna spend the money. So He wants it gifted to him.

Paul:

Sponsors. Yeah. Every day. I should start a fucking church. I

Chrissy:

shouldn't. Why? No. That's what we church right now. You know what?

Chrissy:

It's Sunday. Know what? You know

Paul:

what's fucked up?

Chrissy:

Is I've

Paul:

been watching a

Chrissy:

lot of Start getting donations.

Paul:

A lot of those crimes, dude, is like those people who fucking do, like, the pyramid schemes

Chrissy:

and shit like that. All of it.

Paul:

They fucking rack in, like, 400,000,000. And then you know what happens? They'd serve, like, three to six years. Dude, would serve the

Chrissy:

shit out of three six in Minneapolis and get out the same day. Yeah.

Paul:

Oh, especially with all these fucking

Chrissy:

Well, you can. Literally. Do you

Paul:

see what's that one fucker who just that Somalian dude who just got fucking caught up?

Chrissy:

Her children thing. Yep.

Paul:

He no. This What was it? This one was that Somalian was for, like, a learning center or something like that or what? No. It was the it was no.

Paul:

It was the it was the medic it was the Medicare shit.

Drew:

Yeah. Billions. Yeah. Him necessarily

Paul:

He he fucking he psyched out millions of dollars. He only had to pay back 2,000,000. He needs got a five year probation. They said he's likely to never even see jail time.

Chrissy:

Who's that one guy? Who you fucking skipped town. He's in Somalia.

Drew:

Yeah. No. He was

Chrissy:

an African.

Paul:

Five five six at a fucking 200 yards and a fucking canoe your face. Fuck.

Chrissy:

We're back going back to the bike club. So you were in the the crotch rocket club. Yeah. Called what? Say it again.

Drew:

That was supreme team.

Chrissy:

K. How long were you in that?

Paul:

That sounds like a power ranger game.

Chrissy:

Seems fake. Fake news. Alright. Her tune. Yeah.

Chrissy:

I

Paul:

I rushed up.

Chrissy:

So you're in that. That's cool. That's when you're you got in trouble while you Yeah. In that And that didn't necessarily that just had

Drew:

to do with, like, they called me like, I had a name. Everyone knew me by Axel versus my

Paul:

real name. You always have, like, a fucking club name.

Chrissy:

But were you actually working during this time? Like, how did you have a job?

Drew:

I was so I was doing my chop shop, and I was, like, supposed to be in the military, but I'm taking a leave from the military. So I was just trying to make money. And So

Chrissy:

you hadn't been discharged yet?

Drew:

Nope. Nope. Nope. But, yeah, so at any rate, I don't know. I was doing a trap shop thing.

Drew:

Feds Feds caught it because of that boat. We did this big boat.

Chrissy:

Mhmm.

Paul:

It ended up High money. Higher. High fucking money.

Drew:

And it was like a one on one. Yeah. Yeah. So I, like, tore it all apart and redid it all, but it still was

Paul:

a one on one. It's fucking high money, high profile. It's gonna draw

Chrissy:

a lot attention. So that's gonna that. Be

Drew:

And the guy

Paul:

was like ass prisons.

Drew:

So most of the guys I ended up just doing so I got sentenced to one year

Chrissy:

Yeah. In

Drew:

federal prison.

Chrissy:

And That's federal?

Drew:

Yeah. It was federal. Yeah. Because

Chrissy:

we were

Drew:

selling them all.

Chrissy:

But you didn't do the same the

Drew:

state lines? Or

Chrissy:

did you do a year in federal?

Paul:

That's how it gets you to go crossing lines.

Drew:

Yeah. Like, if I sold that big boat we sold to a guy down in Texas. Mhmm. So because I crossed the state line Yep. Yep.

Drew:

Yep. Okay.

Chrissy:

Did you do a year or did you not do a year?

Drew:

I got sentenced to a year. I then went to turn myself in.

Chrissy:

I was supposed to go to

Drew:

a camp, and I get there, and they're like, no one does under a year here. So they sent me to a halfway house in Minneapolis, and I ended up doing six months in the halfway house. And then I qualified for six months of a bracelet.

Chrissy:

Okay.

Drew:

So it was, you know,

Chrissy:

it was So what was the actual charges then? What do you have on your record?

Paul:

Half ass fucking everything. What was your Yeah. But it

Drew:

was really nice. The judge did me a huge favor.

Paul:

Yeah. Of course. It's nice because you're doing federal fuck me in the ass brain.

Drew:

But what were your

Chrissy:

actual charges?

Drew:

Military too because he literally was He's like, you did. Yeah. He's like, I read what you did in the military. This is, my first charge I'd had of anything. You know?

Drew:

It wasn't like I was a big criminal. And it was a white Yeah. Collar Yeah. Like, I wasn't doing any of stealing. I was literally just doing the forgery.

Drew:

So I got Right. Forgery or something like that.

Chrissy:

Oh, so that's all they charged you with was forgery?

Drew:

Well, I mean, was still a felony,

Chrissy:

but Right.

Drew:

Federal on the federal level and years ago. So

Chrissy:

But was that your actual at this point in time, you had juvenile stuff, but you didn't really have anything else?

Drew:

Yeah. All the juvenile stuff was all white.

Chrissy:

Right. So this was your first adult charge?

Drew:

Yeah. Only a charge. But again, like when you looked at my record, only a only charge ever.

Chrissy:

Okay. So to this day, it's the only thing you

Drew:

ever Not anymore,

Chrissy:

but Oh. As of As of as of then. Okay. Gotcha. Yeah.

Drew:

I didn't get into any more, like, real crazy major trouble after that. Just, like, driving tickets, lot of driving

Chrissy:

tickets. Other bike clubs did you get into?

Paul:

CDL, you get fucked for

Chrissy:

that shit.

Drew:

Not. You have yours. Yep. Yeah.

Chrissy:

So you did your time or

Drew:

whatever. Yep. And then so then I'd started riding, like, Harleys and stuff like that, and then I got into a club called Street Soldiers.

Chrissy:

K.

Drew:

They're another one percenter. They are? Yeah.

Chrissy:

In Minnesota? Yeah. Are they still around?

Paul:

Mary or her. Street

Drew:

Soldiers originated in Indiana

Chrissy:

k.

Drew:

Right in Chicago. What a Gary, Indiana. Yep. So just South of Chicago.

Paul:

Yep. And Van Du?

Drew:

Yeah. So and they're they're a national, but Minnesota chapter isn't super super huge or strong. Don't know if Minnesota chapter is still around. Wasn't Okay. Ten years But they made a debut not a debut, but they got in a little bit of heat at one of the dirty rotten biker festivals.

Drew:

Yeah. Because their diamond looks the same. It's a their diamond looks real similar to HAs. Okay. To the 80 ones.

Drew:

And

Paul:

so probably why they

Chrissy:

got it. Well, they in order to be a 1% club, they had to get the HAs permission.

Drew:

Have their permission and approval, but, like, because Minnesota chapter wasn't big in that one percenter. And then me as a white guy, it's a mixed race club.

Chrissy:

Mhmm.

Drew:

So, like, as a white guy, if I'm wearing that diamond and, like, all the other people around me, like, any like, black or Mexican or whatever, if that's my crew. And they all have the same diamond. They, like, look at us kinda weird. I don't know. But it was just a newer newer guy, and it wasn't, like, real trouble or anything.

Drew:

And, like, how didn't know. Oh. You know, he just came up and was like, what's that diamond

Paul:

and all that? So it

Drew:

was like a stupid little Little I'm not into that stuff anymore, so I don't really care.

Chrissy:

Long ago? What years were what year how long

Paul:

ago was a mud check kinda deal. Like a mud check kinda deal?

Drew:

Yeah. Yeah. I I was still a biker. I retired in, like, 2022.

Chrissy:

Oh, so not that one.

Drew:

Yeah. Not too long ago.

Chrissy:

Ride at all anymore? I ride.

Drew:

Or do you? Not yeah.

Chrissy:

But But you're not in a club. Right?

Paul:

Well No. Because it's just

Drew:

we're all riding. Like, I don't

Chrissy:

get the hate thing or

Drew:

I don't get the, like, I'm a figure better. You know?

Chrissy:

Oh my god.

Drew:

I've got tons of my friends are in clubs, and I respect the shit out of them in the clubs for sure.

Paul:

What's the what's the last biker bike you ride

Drew:

now? Road glide.

Paul:

Yep. That's

Drew:

what I I won't ride a street glide. I just I don't like them. I don't I

Paul:

really think

Drew:

I wanna switch to Indian though.

Chrissy:

Hello? I think so. Dude Brandon Klaas loves his.

Paul:

I know. I Dude, my dad my dad. So my brother works for India or worked for Indian. Okay. Got out.

Paul:

His wife still works for Indian. My dad got a twenty, twenty five Indian pursuit. I think is it pursuit? Yeah, I think it's a pursuit. Don't know.

Paul:

It's got 13,000 miles on it.

Drew:

Okay.

Paul:

What do you think he paid for that thing? It's like a 30 ish.

Chrissy:

Your dad?

Paul:

Yeah, it's like a 30 ish Right now

Chrissy:

But he got it for your brother. Right?

Drew:

15. 18.

Paul:

Lower. Really? Yeah. 13? Lower.

Drew:

Come on.

Paul:

Like $10? Lower. What? I swear to fucking god, dude. I'd when he

Drew:

proud of him.

Paul:

When he told me the price he paid, I'm like, fuck you. I would have bought, like, six of them. Right? $7. Alt the door, tax, title, license, everything.

Chrissy:

Why so cheap?

Paul:

Because they're they're they're in the middle

Chrissy:

We'll take another our third drink too.

Paul:

They're in the middle of that, like so Indian sold to whatever that company

Drew:

was. Polaris.

Paul:

Polaris sold. Polaris sold.

Drew:

That company. Yeah. Whatever. Solar Solar Solar Player

Paul:

Solar yeah, they they all the manager specials, they just dumped them in fucking he got a

Drew:

Oh, it was the Okay. So they were riding it or whatever, like the internal.

Paul:

So, yeah, so

Drew:

Yeah, like a test bike.

Paul:

So dad my dad got that bike brand new and it was a manager special He kind of put he put that 13,000 miles on so he knows how it's been maintained.

Chrissy:

Oh, man.

Paul:

The oil change, everything. And then they're like, Hey, You have the option to buy

Chrissy:

it out.

Paul:

Sorry. You have the option to buy it out at the end. And they're like, it's 7 fucking grand. Gotta do a little piss.

Drew:

I can do a drink. Yeah. Too.

Paul:

Well, this was, like, two hours ago.

Chrissy:

The bathroom?

Drew:

Well, it's, like, two and a half hours ago. Where chatty Kathy is.

Chrissy:

Oh, no.

Paul:

Right? It's, like, three hours ago. Slept the summer.

Drew:

How long do you guys usually go?

Paul:

Like, three hours.

Chrissy:

Oh, man. Been going longer and longer lately.

Paul:

Last Keep the whip.

Chrissy:

Yeah. Well, you you can see he goes off the rails.

Drew:

It'll help.

Chrissy:

Yeah. He well, we both are assaulted at that. But I'm trying to keep it on a timeline so I know people understand. My

Drew:

sister is just like that, which I was on a episode with her, and she would she was, like, going to sat there

Chrissy:

Yeah.

Drew:

And was keeping the timeline the whole time.

Chrissy:

Trying to.

Drew:

I'm not honestly, like, I'm not a linear person.

Chrissy:

Mhmm.

Drew:

So when I think, I don't think linear. My mind attaches things way differently, like in I don't know. Like, it just maybe attaches events to events or something weird like that. I often think I might be a little bit autistic.

Chrissy:

Oh, maybe. I know I have an ED.

Drew:

I My sister definitely

Chrissy:

has Blurt an things out. You know, I fight. I catch myself interrupting or because I have it on my mind or on my brain that I need to say it. It just comes out, you know? So I've noticed that If your

Drew:

mind is going faster.

Chrissy:

Right. And it does. It's going a million miles an hour all the time.

Drew:

Oh, I already heard all that.

Chrissy:

Even you haven't said it yet. Yeah, pretty much. I know I interrupt my husband all the time. He said, just wait. I'm not finished.

Drew:

Yeah.

Paul:

So it's second time today. Feel like I'm

Drew:

doing You're doing pretty good. Without me here anyway. Right? I run Yeah.

Chrissy:

Go ahead. You go. Without me. Oh. We are gonna do a wine.

Chrissy:

One of oh, look at oh, he's hot. Where he is? Liquid death.

Paul:

Nipple. Oh, those are fake. Are like eye nipples.

Chrissy:

Anyways, 19 crimes.

Paul:

That the one we did? Because that

Chrissy:

was before. Let's do it for, like, fucking Do you wanna finish the old fashioned? No.

Paul:

I'm good. Well, I mean

Chrissy:

These ones are gone. Why is this leaking?

Paul:

Fuck it. I don't wanna waste it.

Chrissy:

I don't wanna waste Oh, it's leaking? Somehow it's getting all over, but I don't know why it would be.

Paul:

No. There's just probably fucking

Chrissy:

maybe drip on the side. Don't even this. And it don't matter. It's whatever. It's a table.

Chrissy:

Anyway, nineteen Crimes is this one. It's a new one.

Paul:

Oh, Liquid Death is behind this?

Chrissy:

It's called Severed Red. It's a limited edition California red blend. You probably won't like it, but it's in collaboration with the liquid death energy drink.

Paul:

Yeah. Well, it's liquid death right on this head

Chrissy:

instead of his death's mascot, the murder man, who was convicted for murdering thirst.

Paul:

Fucking gay.

Chrissy:

$9.99 for a bottle?

Paul:

Bold light.

Chrissy:

We're trying it. Ready? Yep. Cheers.

Paul:

Here's the leather. Here's the lace. It's even better if she sits on your face.

Chrissy:

I cheers to that, fucker.

Paul:

You're welcome.

Chrissy:

Oh. This is really good.

Paul:

Oh, I thought this was gonna be like a bittery.

Drew:

This Yeah. Is No. This is

Chrissy:

really Is this supposed to be chilled? I'm not sure. Because it's cold.

Paul:

It's a little good. It's

Chrissy:

hard to say, but it's good.

Paul:

It's where

Chrissy:

it's Does it say chilled?

Paul:

No. No. It's fucking actually

Chrissy:

It's actually really good.

Paul:

I'm not I And I'm not a red wine drinker. Yeah.

Chrissy:

Interesting. I don't know if it's supposed to be chilled, but it is, and it's good.

Paul:

14.5% alcohol by volume. On the bolder light, it's way at the bottom by bold.

Chrissy:

And I don't have the app to do the 19 crimes. To take it does up. Do something. Yeah. I

Paul:

did that once. It is kinda cool.

Chrissy:

Renee. Yeah. Renee.

Paul:

Renee. Renee. Renee. Gotta download the

Chrissy:

Yeah. I don't have the app. But supposedly, Shannon did tell me the all the 19 crimes, if you download the app, the hopefully, he probably flexes his peck muscles or something.

Paul:

He probably bounces no. He probably bounces them like fucking the rock or whatever.

Chrissy:

That's what I'm seeing.

Drew:

He flexes them.

Chrissy:

You know, I can do that.

Paul:

What? Mhmm. Bullshit. Prove

Chrissy:

it. I can do it, though.

Paul:

Fake news or it didn't happen.

Chrissy:

No. I can't. I'll do it on when I'm at the gym. Good or not? He likes them.

Chrissy:

Like, it's got alcohol. Okay. Come on.

Paul:

What I like

Chrissy:

The old fashioned.

Paul:

Love old fashioned.

Chrissy:

Used to have when I got

Paul:

Especially like a smoky old fashioned. Oh, you can get it. Have you

Chrissy:

ever had this wine or seen this wine before 19 crimes?

Drew:

I haven't, but I smelled it before.

Chrissy:

So the label, if you you can download the app for the for the bottle or whatever. It's crazy. And, like, the label on your phone will, like

Paul:

Oh, really?

Chrissy:

All of them do something different.

Paul:

Like, he, like, walks in or something fucking crazy and swings up fucking wax. Yeah.

Chrissy:

It's actually really good.

Paul:

I don't like red wines typically, but that's

Chrissy:

That's

Paul:

I drink that.

Chrissy:

Is that the right price? $10?

Drew:

That sounds Seems cheap. Sounds really affordable. Price?

Paul:

Sounds like you're

Drew:

Oh, no. It's got a toll. Number. Yeah. You just want that up.

Drew:

Goal 15. You know, take this one. Liquid We're

Paul:

we're gonna donate the extra $5 to church. Yep. Yep. Yeah. To my church.

Chrissy:

The Shway phone.

Paul:

I just fucking want boat church. The boat church.

Drew:

That's what we need.

Paul:

We need a boat.

Chrissy:

Can we do shit on the boat?

Drew:

Sign me up. I will.

Chrissy:

Did you call in your bike club meetings church? Yep. Because, like, most of the, like yeah. They get church there.

Paul:

Every Sunday or whatever?

Drew:

We did so, yeah, we're actually. We we did ours on Saturdays. Oh, really? Yeah. Especially in the weekends.

Drew:

And we do a ride, a group ride after.

Chrissy:

So when you were in the the the other club, what was the second one?

Drew:

That was Street soldiers.

Chrissy:

Street soldiers. Yep. They're still around as far as

Drew:

you know.

Paul:

They are for sure. Yeah. It's the Harley

Drew:

one? Yep. Yeah.

Paul:

Where was your pecking already on that one?

Chrissy:

What was your designated When I when I

Drew:

retired, I was the treasurer.

Chrissy:

Oh.

Drew:

Yeah. So I was on board.

Chrissy:

Like, how long were you in this club? Because you're So

Drew:

Well You're not that old. I know. But I I just same thing. Like, I wanted to be a family person. And

Paul:

Do they do that whole out bad or out good thing?

Drew:

Oh, for sure. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. For sure.

Paul:

How long did you get

Drew:

a prospect? I

Paul:

mean Did you even have to prospect?

Drew:

I well, so because I was the president of the I prospected years ago, like, before I got into

Paul:

In the Before I was In the Croc Rocket club?

Drew:

Because I ended up being president of that club. And then I

Paul:

You brought up walked all into

Drew:

We were our supporters. So I don't know. Like, maybe BPMs are with it's called like a patch over basically. Yeah. So I had street soldiers.

Drew:

We did a patch over.

Chrissy:

So you just transferred over. Yeah.

Drew:

I had I mean, I had

Paul:

Time served basically kinda deal. Yeah.

Drew:

Did do a little bit with the street soldiers too. It wasn't super long, but, man, I and I did some like, as a prospect, I did like, I fucked up really big right around our national president. That that was a little scary.

Chrissy:

Drinking or just being No.

Drew:

For sure. Yeah. Was drinking, and I wasn't supposed cause I'm a prospect. I'm not supposed to be drinking.

Paul:

Where were

Chrissy:

you right at that time?

Paul:

Were you

Chrissy:

riding the roadway at the time? No.

Drew:

I had a let's see. I had a soft ale when I first started, but that wasn't I couldn't really do long trips with it. We were doing a lot of like coast to coast shit.

Paul:

How many miles would they be putting on? Like, say say a normal 13 to 20,000? No. Like a normal ride.

Drew:

Oh, well, like if we were just doing a group ride in

Paul:

the Yeah.

Drew:

Depends. We do a day ride or we do

Paul:

Like how how long would a day ride be?

Drew:

Maybe 8AM to ten or midnight or something. I don't know. Like we go down the still water or something in Wisconsin. Yeah. Maybe.

Drew:

That'd be a good day. I mean, we ride to Chicago in a day. We did that a lot of times. That was that

Chrissy:

was what?

Drew:

700, 600?

Paul:

It's only no. That's only three It's like six hours.

Drew:

Yeah.

Paul:

I drive truck every day. Stops, though. That's what I mean. Stops. Stop with you.

Paul:

I mean, you're gonna have one stop on a fucking bagger. No. On myself. A bagger.

Chrissy:

It's 300 miles on a van year for sure.

Paul:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So you're gonna have one

Drew:

stop. At ninety when you're

Paul:

It doesn't matter. Thirty. No. No. I've I've run it all.

Paul:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Chrissy:

But anyway

Drew:

still think it stopped twice. Maybe just wanted to.

Paul:

But it depends on

Chrissy:

that in a day.

Paul:

It depends on who you if everybody's got baggers or not. Like, if you got guys with, like, sporties or softtails or something smaller than a fucking six gallon tank.

Chrissy:

And it's different when you're in a group versus just two or three or you

Paul:

by yourself. Well, and that's what that's what I'm saying. Like, if you have, like if if you're all running road glides, yeah, then you all got six gallon tanks and you're running fucking probably two fifty to 300 miles depending on the mods on your bike.

Drew:

Road king or bigger on the long trip. So, I had a road king that's still smaller.

Paul:

My buddy just bought John Grubbs just bought a fucking brand new fucking road king

Chrissy:

that's

Paul:

a

Chrissy:

fucking new

Paul:

Road King.

Drew:

And then Badass.

Chrissy:

My other buddy Oh, haven't seen her

Drew:

say speed.

Paul:

You put

Drew:

up Cruise at 90 like nothing.

Paul:

My other buddy just bought a fucking same year 2025 Road road glide. He he bought the fucking the gray. I don't know. It's ceramic gray is the new black. Yeah.

Paul:

They don't charge for that. And he's got the black appearance fucking motor package. Yeah. I'm like, you motherfucker. He traded in his Indian, traded in his Indian for $8.

Paul:

And then he only owns like fucking $19.20 grand on the fucking pro glam. Like, you motherfucker. He's like, hey. It's the same kid who fucking sent me messages every time during one of we bought dirt bikes because he bought a dirt bike. And he's like, hey.

Paul:

He's like, you need a dirt bike. You need a dirt bike. And he'd send me dirt bike videos, like constantly, like constantly. And it's like after a while, I'm like, Fuck it. I need a dirt bike.

Paul:

I don't know why. I don't have no bills. I need a dirt bike. So I bought a dirt bike. And now that he bought a fucking new motorcycle, he sends me that CVO.

Paul:

The CVO. What's that? That it's it's a nasty motherfucking color. It's that in infrared what is it called? In in it's like infrared.

Chrissy:

Some kind of a red. Yeah.

Paul:

It's it's gray or something.

Chrissy:

Oh, infrared gray.

Paul:

So no. It's inferno gray. That's what

Chrissy:

it is.

Paul:

Okay. So like, it's it's like a flat gray when you look at it normally, but like any light, any sun hits it, it looks like a strawberry red. It's the craziest Oh, wow. It's beautiful. It is.

Paul:

It's it's And guess what? That bike's $44 tax title license out the door. You're looking at, like, 49

Drew:

Yeah. Grand. $9.60 50.

Paul:

You're looking at $440 shy of $50,000

Chrissy:

for

Paul:

a fucking

Chrissy:

And you will never buy one.

Paul:

Bike. No.

Chrissy:

Fuck. Not I would never buy one brand new. Sponsored.

Paul:

No. Not anymore. Not knowing what I know now.

Chrissy:

I would never buy a brand new bike.

Paul:

Not especially like so when I bought my when I bought my '18, no, 2010 road glide, the only reason I bought it brand new is because I thought I would

Chrissy:

blow the shit out of that thing. Right.

Paul:

Because I blew I blew an r one up twice. Right. So I'm like, I'm gonna blow this motherfucker up like six times. And I do. I rolled that fucking thing like a fucking pissed off teenager times 10.

Paul:

I'd be doing 60 and

Chrissy:

just done the warranty on it.

Paul:

Oh, yeah. Right. That's what got my I got I got $13,000 out of that warranty. Yeah. But I was like, I'd downshift, downshift, downshift from 60 to, like, 20 miles an hour and just not use my brakes or nothing.

Chrissy:

Dude, that fucking I

Paul:

can't believe it. Trans I can't believe yeah.

Chrissy:

For you, though, like you said.

Paul:

Yeah. It's under warranty. You ain't got to pay for shit. Fuck them. That's what I paid for.

Chrissy:

But yeah, it's like, oh, dude, I'd love to buy a new bike,

Paul:

but it's like, after I got shit paid off, I'm like, I don't wanna have payments. That's I

Drew:

hate payments. Yeah. I'm I'm at that

Paul:

mode right now. Once you get to a point in your life and you fucking pay shit off, you're like, payments

Chrissy:

become about having payments. Yeah.

Paul:

It really is. Payments become the antichrist. Yeah. And you will do anything to avoid

Chrissy:

them. At them.

Paul:

Yeah. Right?

Drew:

I get it. Payments equal responsibility. Yeah. Gets all that.

Chrissy:

Let's get back

Drew:

Maybe I to do still need an adult.

Chrissy:

Yeah, maybe. So after

Drew:

Here we go.

Chrissy:

The bike club and stuff like that, during the bike club, what are you doing for money? Now you're out of the chop shop thing. You did your time for that. So when did you start your detailing company? Because I know you had that for a while.

Drew:

Well, guess when you were Yeah. Started that in twenty two thousand twenty or something, but I I did a bunch of different stuff. What were you gonna ask? What are

Paul:

saying? I wanna know when you were in, like, say you're in a fucking bike club, right?

Chrissy:

And you're a treasurer

Drew:

Yeah.

Paul:

Or whatever. You pay in the church. Right? Yep. Where does that money go?

Drew:

Like we had a clubhouse.

Paul:

Does it pays? So obviously it pays like clubhouse pays national dues. Your

Chrissy:

was your clubhouse?

Drew:

We were North Northeast. Northeast. Yeah. Northside Northeast. Fridley.

Paul:

You were just like the

Drew:

blame? Does, like,

Paul:

the people in that club, do they get paid out for money for that, or is that just all that money just go basically to pay fucking utilities, gas, electric, Yeah. Lights our club.

Drew:

That's hot when

Paul:

Rent for the fucking

Drew:

Yeah. Building. We had an attorney.

Paul:

We had, like, an attorney. On retainers.

Drew:

Yep. Yep. Yep. Okay. But, yeah, a lot of it went to

Chrissy:

our club. And then, like, we actually

Paul:

Now he's got a lot of question.

Drew:

I just stuff for the community too. Like, we did an Easter egg hunt one year.

Paul:

Well, there's so many questions. Like, I've I've I've watched so many videos and it's

Drew:

like fundraisers.

Paul:

It's I don't know. I always thought I wanted to be in a club like that until I found out what entails a club like that. And it's

Drew:

like commitment.

Paul:

The only the only time I would ever want to be in a club like that is if my entire family was dead. Mom and dad passed away.

Chrissy:

But why would you want to be in one? What would be the reason?

Paul:

I just the brotherhood.

Drew:

That's that's what mine was.

Paul:

It would be it would be like a family because like trying to find a family. Like I just said, basically, all your family's dead. Right? Yeah. So that's the only thing that would draw me into a fucking club would

Chrissy:

Do be you really think that they're your brothers?

Paul:

I don't know.

Chrissy:

From When have Pat Matters on, we'll Yeah.

Drew:

They they

Paul:

are we gonna be able to get that motherfucker?

Chrissy:

He says he'll do it. I just wanna have him on. He says he's willing to do it. He's discussed some shit going on right now. So I wanna You will talk to him about brotherhood.

Paul:

I wanna talk to her about Shannon and see what she says about that. Oh,

Chrissy:

anyhoo.

Paul:

Yeah.

Chrissy:

Let's go back to get back to your wife. So Oh my gosh. You're doing stuff and you're I wanna know about your daughter, your relationship with your daughter. It was really know good you have son as well.

Drew:

Yeah. In my my

Chrissy:

relationship And do have a relationship with a a good relationship with No. A different

Drew:

mom, obviously. Yeah. You have three kids. Right? Yeah.

Chrissy:

Three different moms. Girl girl, boy, girl.

Drew:

Right? Yep.

Chrissy:

How old is your son?

Drew:

They're all very different. 13.

Chrissy:

Okay.

Drew:

My daughter's 19. So like

Chrissy:

Where do we stand with your daughter?

Paul:

Where is she? Do you talk to her or what she I don't talk to her

Drew:

a lot anymore, but she's a super smart girl.

Chrissy:

Where is she at?

Drew:

College. She's in Elk River still. Oh, okay. Yeah. So she decided to live with she decided like, Bill made Bill and my ex really made her choose.

Chrissy:

Who she is?

Drew:

Right, I get- No, no, she just, they made her choose like-

Paul:

You're gonna get to talk to gonna this or cut you off from this and if you don't fucking conform to that.

Drew:

Yep, so her and I had a really great relationship until she was about 13 or 14. What's happened? Is it off?

Chrissy:

No. It's on the other side. Okay. I didn't see the light. Okay.

Paul:

Oh, okay.

Chrissy:

Got it. You're good.

Drew:

Yeah. So great relationship. Put tell 13 or 14. And like, mind you, I'm kind of I was kind of a young dad, so I'm not saying like I was a great perfect dad at all. No.

Drew:

But she was daddy's girl for sure. We had great. And then

Chrissy:

So you were 1000% a part of her upbringing until around the 13 year old age?

Drew:

Yeah. And I still was to an extent, but COVID had just hit. It was like 2020, COVID hit. Not using that as an excuse, but it it partially like going to court to maintain my rights was not really an option. There was a court, and it was taking years.

Drew:

Sherburne County was really bad at the time. So again, those are my excuses whether they hold up or not, whatever. She's 19 now, so she can make her own decisions. But I think she was about she was 15 for sure. I had made some TikTok content that went viral, and it was about so nobody had really known up until then, like, the drama and stuff that had been occurring.

Drew:

It was all kept pretty well quiet. My daughter knew, but I guess she didn't really know.

Chrissy:

K.

Drew:

I never had told her, you know, but she knew to some extent. She was young when it all happened. But she grew up kinda thinking he's that bad and I'm bad. And then, you know, this She knew it

Chrissy:

was your dad. Right?

Drew:

Yeah. But I don't know that she ever, like, connected at all. How do not at 15?

Paul:

Oh, dude. No.

Drew:

I'm saying right around 14, 15, I think she started really understanding. But I like I said too, I came on

Chrissy:

Did she ever wonder, like, why do you hate them so bad? Or did you not comment

Drew:

on never talked that about Oh, you didn't? Okay. Not not in front of her.

Chrissy:

Okay. I had Were you never showing it? Nope. Yep. What was deciding factor to do the TikToks and bring it publicly?

Drew:

A friend

Paul:

of mine, but- When was TikTok?

Drew:

When did So mine was like a couple of I think mine was '22, 2022. So that's two years ago. Yeah. Couple years ago. And we I wasn't into it.

Drew:

I didn't even have an account. But my sister sent me this video and it was some girl who was like, and this girl just, like, looked at the camera and said something like, my mom married my husband.

Chrissy:

Oh, so it was something similar.

Drew:

It was similar. And all of sudden, watch, and it's a similar background. They're pastors and there is. Oh,

Chrissy:

no shit.

Drew:

But it was flip flop. Yeah. And she had like a million followers. And my sister's like, fuck. So I no.

Drew:

And I I, like, went out my garage. I probably looked at some homeless guy. Like, my hair is all crazy. My beard's all crazy. Then I just, like I'm in a flannel like a normal Minnesota guy, and I just look at a camera, and I'm, like, I'm holding.

Drew:

I just said something like, like, you can't make this stuff up. My dad married my wife. Oh, and he's a pastor. Oh, and it was while I was in

Chrissy:

I the did see this,

Drew:

which is

Chrissy:

how I even knew. But

Drew:

Yeah. And it was just something kinda dumb, but it went, like, viral overnight. Like, I'd watch. It was, like, a million views in twenty four hours

Chrissy:

or something. Wow.

Drew:

And I'd watch and they just like tick tick tick tick tick. I was like, holy crap. Kurt and Clark.

Chrissy:

Yeah. So obviously, you must make money off TikTok. I know.

Drew:

Never really. Like, $14 a month.

Chrissy:

Oh, you have have Yeah.

Drew:

Because that was really my only I'm like a little Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I was famous for, like, twenty four hours. It was cool.

Drew:

No. It wasn't. But being famous for that.

Chrissy:

Awesome. I mean,

Drew:

I was cool. Like, I'd go into Denny's with my son, they'd be

Chrissy:

like, oh my god. Oh my god.

Drew:

I follow you on TikTok. And I was

Chrissy:

like How weird. Dude. We're in a river. Cool. There's, like, 5,000 of us.

Chrissy:

Well, we I get it, and you probably do too. Yeah. Oh, I watch your guys' podcast when random people over

Paul:

I think I've met, like, two people in my life that said that.

Chrissy:

Oh, really?

Paul:

I just

Chrissy:

I've met, like, two just yesterday.

Drew:

Yeah. I wanted to

Chrissy:

my podcast all the time. On the mini

Paul:

well, yeah. But you're way more recognizable than I am. Like once on the mini bike and then once at Fedjacks.

Chrissy:

Oh, really?

Paul:

Yeah. Oh.

Drew:

Well, now that

Chrissy:

you don't have your beard, it'll take

Drew:

longer for people to recognize.

Paul:

Yeah, yeah.

Chrissy:

It's our massage therapist. What's up? What's up?

Paul:

I was just saying, yeah, I was there Monday. Fucking ugh.

Drew:

I heard about Loving it. You guys just talked about that on the last Yeah.

Paul:

How good she is.

Chrissy:

She's amazing. She's our girl.

Paul:

Then no wonder she's booked out fucking six months in advance. This one is set up. Fuck her.

Chrissy:

You

Paul:

should stop being so good at your job.

Drew:

No. She should not.

Paul:

Yes. You should so I can get in more.

Chrissy:

No. No. Hey. Just be happy you guys get it because I don't.

Paul:

Right?

Chrissy:

I'm happy. Good to see you guys.

Drew:

Oh, you are. Bye.

Chrissy:

So, like, you you had a part in your daughter's life, and now it's kind of she just just they'd made her choose and

Drew:

Yeah. Made the TikTok and basically,

Chrissy:

like But now she's 19.

Drew:

She's She's 19, so we'll see

Chrissy:

how Was that embarrassing for her? Is that what she

Drew:

did she

Chrissy:

get mad

Drew:

She about it? Did. Yep. Yeah. She said

Paul:

That sounds about right. Yeah.

Chrissy:

And then But she was in high school, so that's everything's embarrassing.

Paul:

Yeah. Well, especially

Chrissy:

I just talked to Trevor O'Lean's daughter last night. She's embarrassed by everything because her mom does TikToks. Yeah. Yeah.

Drew:

Well, then, yeah,

Paul:

and did she just get her license or something?

Chrissy:

Her permit.

Paul:

Permit. That's what it is. Yep.

Drew:

And I

Chrissy:

said, I remember those days. I was embarrassed by everything in high So where does your So do you guys speak? Are you out

Drew:

talking to us? Nope. We haven't now.

Chrissy:

And not on my TikTok?

Drew:

Yep.

Chrissy:

She came me. Want a relationship.

Drew:

Yeah. Oh, for sure. Yep. She just came to me. And, like, I respected her.

Drew:

She came to me and she's like, this is the decision I've made. She was like, if you'll take that off of TikTok and not be telling everyone like our family's business, she said, maybe. Yeah.

Chrissy:

She wanted you to take it down.

Drew:

Yep. Yep. She gave me an ultimatum. She said, take it down. You can have a relationship and leave it up and you can't.

Drew:

And that's for my 15 year old. And I was like, you know what, Natalia? I'm so proud of you for making such a strong decision. Because if I would have done that at that age, I'd be so much better off. And I just told her that I'm like, you know, I wish I would have made some decisions like that.

Drew:

Like, I wish at 15, I would have told my dad to fuck off.

Chrissy:

It was it wasn't her decision or mom's decision. Yeah. It it sounded More

Drew:

like It sounded exactly no. It sounded exactly like my dad. I mean, it sounded the the words, like her tone of voice, everything switched. And I'm, like, now reliving me sitting with my dad, and it sounded just like him. Sure.

Drew:

So I just said but still, I was like, if I would have told my dad that at 15, I'd be way better off. And I would, you know, if I would have gone to him and said, you're an asshole. Piece of shit. Fuck you. None of this would have happened.

Chrissy:

Four years later So I just said I'm proud of her and I said I'm here. So that between that those four years, have you guys had any No. Contact at all? No. But

Drew:

no. My brother or my brother. She's at my brother's lot, but my little like, my son has her brother, my son. They have a lot of they'll still hang out for

Chrissy:

Oh, they do? Okay. Now where's mom of the son? What's her relate did you marry her?

Drew:

We were married for a while. We were just young. So

Chrissy:

she was married.

Drew:

As well. Yep. We get along great. Like, we're super great friends, and we parent really well together and stuff,

Paul:

you know,

Chrissy:

but That's

Drew:

good. I we just we were young.

Chrissy:

Great.

Drew:

I literally met her, like, the day I found out that my dad was getting married to my wife. Like Oh, you met her

Chrissy:

that right

Drew:

Met her that night. Oh. Yeah. So And so, like How

Paul:

many times have you

Chrissy:

been married? Odd things.

Drew:

Just twice.

Paul:

Twice?

Drew:

Yeah. You

Paul:

didn't get married again?

Drew:

I don't I don't think so. It's not dude, I love being single. Like, I legit do. Do you date? Not for a while.

Chrissy:

Because, I mean, I I'm honestly probably have trust issues. I'm assuming. Probably.

Drew:

Probably. I dated a lot kind of throughout the process, and it just it wasn't my cup of tea. I I think I had to learn a lot.

Chrissy:

So you're clearly a handsome man. I would imagine We. Well, you are. Okay.

Drew:

Thank you.

Chrissy:

You're Yep. You're a fucking feel like I'm, like, being very two handsome men here today. What would

Drew:

say if you think I am compared to Paul?

Chrissy:

Well, I think you're probably You're fucking better looking than I am, you fucking eyes. I

Drew:

don't know. He's got the tall look going on.

Chrissy:

Whatever. Is what it is. Ball I got. Do you I imagine. Do you go out?

Chrissy:

Like, what is your day what is a day for Drew Because you're not working. You sold your business. Yep. Build What do you have? With chicks.

Chrissy:

You do what?

Drew:

I build apps.

Chrissy:

What?

Drew:

Yeah. Yep. So I'm

Paul:

super money and that shit.

Chrissy:

So now how

Paul:

do you have things?

Drew:

Cool stuff. I'm working on where I do a lot of writing. K.

Chrissy:

So you like journalism?

Drew:

Yep. Yep. Doing a lot of writing. We're working right now on a documentary, a docu series.

Chrissy:

Yep. Well, it's so you've video. Life Yep. Which will make your daughter happy. Yeah.

Chrissy:

And it's like it's not I'm not trying

Drew:

to focus, like, on my life, but it's on like those environments. Who is who is trying

Paul:

to produce that? They're working on it

Drew:

right now, but I

Chrissy:

don't know if we can say.

Drew:

Yeah, it's kind of under NDA, but they have done. I can tell you I was going to say like, it going to be

Paul:

like like on your military background or how Lot of it. Oh, okay.

Drew:

So right now, if you Google, like, what's trending, cult culture

Paul:

is trending.

Drew:

Yeah. I mean, everywhere you go, everywhere you look, it's all about cult stuff, and people are just in cult life stuff. I don't think until now anybody I don't I haven't seen anybody really focus on what happens if you leave a cult. Right. Or what happens if you're born and raised in a cult.

Drew:

And what if, like, some of them are like, in my case, the cult leader is my dad. Mhmm. They're all if you get out of that cult, they will always betray

Paul:

you. Fuck.

Drew:

So you're gonna deal with like that is and that's everything. That's your life that's

Chrissy:

And I watch, you know, like I said, or talked earlier, I watch housewife shows. Yeah. Just brainless fucking shows that, you know, are mindless

Paul:

So or can asleep.

Chrissy:

Right. Or whatever. Why do people get into housewives though. I mean, I get into the people's families, but the

Paul:

newest Beverly

Chrissy:

Hills one has a girl who she's a she's very young, and she's got a number one book, best selling book, Rich As Fuck. Don't know if you've ever No, but honestly, she's a money she's a money guru and teaches you worth how to work. Millions. Rich As Fuck is the name so her good. She has online courses or whatever that she teaches or whatever about how to manifest money.

Chrissy:

It's geared for women, but it can be for anyone. And she escaped a cult. Yeah. Kind of the same thing. Not her not her family.

Drew:

Yeah.

Chrissy:

But went to, like, the pastor of the church that she was going, and they sucked her into going to Florida. And she goes, I realized after being down there for, I don't know how long she was at. Let's just say a few years. Now I understood Is this that the Scientology? No.

Chrissy:

Wasn't Scientology.

Drew:

There's that one too. But

Chrissy:

she is writing a book about it right now. Okay. So

Drew:

Yeah. It's

Chrissy:

it might be coming out. But anyhow, I speaking of cult stuff, it just was something that has been manifesting on TV right now. So I've

Drew:

been And no thinks it'll happen to them or in their hometown.

Paul:

Until it does.

Drew:

You know? Right. Like Yeah.

Chrissy:

But it was in your family.

Drew:

Yeah. But it was in Elk River for so many years too. I mean, it was in there for years before it was ever

Chrissy:

So how do you think?

Drew:

A pastor before my dad the reason my dad became a pastor in Elk River was the pastor before my dad was had a whole bunch of sex scandal things against him because he's bringing, like, all

Chrissy:

these church is the same

Paul:

dirtiest little motherfucker.

Drew:

There's, like, six different women. It right now, River, and the pastor's bringing them in there, and that's it.

Paul:

Oh, they work at his church.

Drew:

Right.

Paul:

Little dirty pirate hooker. You are.

Drew:

For real. Right? Not having to ever because you're in a church and just blame god and you don't have to be accountable.

Paul:

Dude, and, like, they fucking get away with fucking murder.

Drew:

You don't have to go to jail. Yeah. Like, so if you're a therapist and you marry somebody that you're counseling, like, within I think it's a two years maybe. You have to look it up. But if you like or if you're my therapist and you have a relationship with me within one or two years of me stopping therapy

Paul:

I feel like I could talk to my therapist in sex. Well,

Drew:

could then sue them. But like, it's illegal. Right? But Bill gets to marry his daughter-in-law, who he's being the therapist. Like, you know what I mean?

Drew:

Like, as a church, the church leader, there's really no rules and laws. He got convicted finally one time of so he's got a felony on his record that is financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult because he drained this. Well, he drained my mom, my grandma's accounts to zero and she got

Paul:

all the money and know the responsibility. Yeah. Right? Yeah. Shifty motherfuckers.

Drew:

He signed over like with the day my mom died, he had a well, power of attorney signed over. He took over my grandma's account and trained them. Jeez. And they caught him, but they just let him go because he's a pastor. Yeah.

Drew:

Pastor. But, like

Chrissy:

Your power of attorney does nothing once the person dies.

Drew:

No. No. He took the so my

Paul:

mom had power of attorney

Chrissy:

for her mom.

Drew:

Okay. My mom died, and he just

Chrissy:

took it. He took

Drew:

it over.

Chrissy:

Got you.

Drew:

I see what saying. Grandma. But Ugh. But, yeah, pastors just don't seem to get in trouble or at least historically Hold have

Chrissy:

on. Here I go. This Oh my god. Nice.

Drew:

God. So body shot lip

Chrissy:

prints. Yeah.

Paul:

Alright. So good. And it hits your lips.

Chrissy:

Oh my god. You're retarded.

Paul:

This shit is I don't like red wine, but this shit

Chrissy:

is really good, actually. Alright. We're gonna do another drink when she's because sitting we gotta wrap things up pretty soon. Till today, June yet? Didn't even

Drew:

know. Is she seven? I thought

Chrissy:

I don't think there's seven. Think there's only six. So four and five. So it's high noon. A high noon.

Chrissy:

Are you peeing again?

Drew:

She's gonna mix the fucking drink.

Chrissy:

It's a pine noon. She don't gotta mix it. Do you want both of glitters? Yeah, might as well. Yep, all of them.

Chrissy:

She's feeling good today.

Drew:

These were pretty strong.

Chrissy:

Yeah. When he drank majority well, didn't I just literally just sipped them because they're nasty.

Drew:

He's

Chrissy:

You going to pee know this. No. I don't. I'm not a fan. I'm not a big drinker, honestly.

Chrissy:

Oh, what is this now? That's the Gluks.

Drew:

But is

Chrissy:

it all different? Oh, looks like

Drew:

it is.

Chrissy:

Cream Cream ale. God. Do I have to let

Drew:

him Is drow it considered gluten free? That's a big deal for my sister.

Chrissy:

Glicks?

Drew:

Yeah. It's gluten removed.

Chrissy:

Oh, yeah. That would be gluten free then.

Drew:

Balanced by a smooth

Chrissy:

Thank you, pig.

Drew:

IPA. It's a six percenter. Holy crap. That's strong. Great.

Chrissy:

Alright. So we're gonna do high noon next.

Drew:

Glicks. Glicks. Glicks. Glicks. Look at that.

Drew:

Pulsner. K. That's a bulging in Pulsner. Oh, a cream ale.

Chrissy:

There's two different kinds there, or is there four

Paul:

different shades? You should fucking make Maddie drinks. This fucking IPA shit.

Drew:

No. You're not an IPA guy.

Paul:

No. Fuck.

Chrissy:

Well, this is high noon. It's a vodka seltzer, and it's called transfusion.

Paul:

Tiny's are good.

Chrissy:

This Like a blood transfusion. So it was released on April 29. It's the brand's first ever limited edition flavor

Paul:

drop. Good.

Drew:

Oh, it's

Chrissy:

a It's a limited edition.

Paul:

So Yeah. That is it's I hey. I guarantee you this is gonna be the

Chrissy:

best Listen.

Paul:

Listen. Listen, Linda. Yeah. Best drink of the summer because

Chrissy:

It reimagines the classic golf course cocktail made with vodka, grape juice

Drew:

Oh, yes.

Chrissy:

And ginger ale.

Paul:

Dude, Dude, I guarantee you this is gonna be like

Drew:

be like a like an

Paul:

Grape ape. Yes.

Drew:

Oh, this It's like a grape ape.

Paul:

And it's gonna be the best fucking drink of the summer. It's limited edition. Fucking take yeah. Exactly.

Chrissy:

People are gonna buy the

Paul:

shit

Chrissy:

out because it's limited.

Paul:

And then it's gonna be gone, and you ain't gonna be able to get

Chrissy:

it in.

Drew:

Everybody's gonna be afraid of this. The boat cult.

Paul:

Oh my god. The smell of this is just ridiculous.

Chrissy:

At what point in time were you a bartender? Because you told me you used to bartend.

Drew:

Bartended on and off to to make money throughout all that. So one of the places that does Oh, that it's like a marked

Paul:

down fucking grape,

Drew:

baby. Oh, I can smell it from here.

Chrissy:

Bomless. Fuck,

Paul:

dude. Yes. You know what

Drew:

it reminds me of communion? It's so

Chrissy:

Plain grape. Oh, yeah. Communion at church. That's what we got. Yeah.

Drew:

A drink of the Lord's blood.

Chrissy:

That's what it is. A transfusion.

Drew:

Why did you just drink God's blood?

Paul:

Because I fucking love the party.

Chrissy:

Because we're going to heaven.

Paul:

Yeah. This is this is a fucking being on the podcast. All day.

Chrissy:

Where All day. Where do you stand now with your spirituality and your

Drew:

Yeah. That's what everyone asked. Right? Good question. And tough to answer other than

Chrissy:

Do you have a good relationship with God,

Paul:

do you

Chrissy:

have no relationship with God?

Drew:

Yeah. I would say I do. You do? Yep. Yep.

Drew:

And I

Chrissy:

because you said you kinda went atheist for a while.

Drew:

I was very atheist. Very, very, very. And I don't even know, like, if it's But

Chrissy:

I understand you'd be pissed off about all

Paul:

of Dude, I would be too. I'd fucking Yeah. I'd probably shoot to try to shoot my old man in the chest with a fucking 45.

Chrissy:

Well, and then not not only that, but the things that you saw and that you went through

Drew:

in your time in Iraq. Do you And then you survive at all?

Chrissy:

Have PTSD?

Drew:

So I like, looking back now that I've dealt with it for so long, I would say there's some of that. Like, is my PTSD worse just from, like, just having and everybody to me, like, in my mind, everybody has childhood trauma. Like I agree. Yeah. So I don't ever I'm like, mine is worse than yours or whatever.

Drew:

I just became aware of mine more recently. And so going through all of that stuff, like

Chrissy:

that.

Drew:

Yeah. I mean, I have dreams and crap that I don't like having and some of them are real.

Chrissy:

So we never really got into kind of going back to your military day.

Paul:

What what

Chrissy:

was some of the things that you witnessed? Like you said you saw somebody get blown in half. You saw it?

Paul:

Yeah. Yeah. So cal strike.

Drew:

Yep. Well, yeah, I've seen, you know

Paul:

And I wanna

Drew:

seen so I've seen bodies hit with a 50 cal, like at seven, eight hundred meters, and that's it's a pretty forceful bit of a time. Dude, yeah.

Chrissy:

Were you new?

Paul:

No. No. No. Enemy.

Chrissy:

Oh, the enemy. Oh, I'm I'm okay.

Paul:

Yeah. Know.

Chrissy:

No. Alright. How many alright. I'm gonna ask you something

Drew:

like witness.

Paul:

Like, you don't

Chrissy:

you don't understand. Good. Good. Nope. I didn't.

Drew:

You don't understand face to face.

Paul:

I I guess I don't probably general public doesn't understand what a 50 cal strike does to a human body They at fucking

Chrissy:

seven or Okay, but our kids have a while.

Paul:

It blows fucking shoulders off, torsos. You see fucking arms flying, legs flying, ribcage

Chrissy:

But I wanna ask, were you the person behind the gun that you

Paul:

Pulling the trigger. Were you the guy pulling the trigger?

Drew:

Yeah, I've pulled it.

Chrissy:

Yeah, for sure. I mean, I know you've pulled it, but what you're saying is you're Yeah, I see like that. Is that the way you Yeah. Okay. Do you put that like that's not

Paul:

really one of I ever come back here and you're like, I got to deal with real life now.

Chrissy:

Do you feel bad?

Drew:

That's the problem, right? Like when I came home, I wouldn't and people kind of tried to. No, I know I don't I don't feel guilty

Chrissy:

about that. Did. Right? And those people

Paul:

are fucked.

Drew:

I wouldn't either. No. And even, like still fucking how would you The we all came back together. So you know?

Chrissy:

Yeah. That's As

Paul:

long as you came back with the fuckers. Yeah.

Chrissy:

So I'm grateful that I'm lost watch this I

Drew:

hate that.

Chrissy:

You didn't have to witness any of your friends or your mates or

Drew:

your I feel

Chrissy:

like I say to I I guess.

Drew:

And that's, like, I mean, I watch you get blown up, but but survived, you know, so that's cool.

Paul:

I feel like that'd be the

Drew:

worst blast and, like, they dis So how did first got blast, and then they disappeared, and then all of sudden they come back

Paul:

after mist of fucking Oh,

Chrissy:

feel about the how veterans are treated now.

Drew:

I think I think we have so much available now, like so much more. But again, I don't know how much was available when I came back because I don't think I was open to it.

Chrissy:

Sure. That's exactly what Yeah. Mike's dad was. He was a Vietnam vet. He was a tunnel rat.

Paul:

He was

Chrissy:

a small That's the worst. I'd So

Paul:

worst, the worst. I'd have

Chrissy:

never refused to watch any war

Paul:

movies My at hockey coach Yep. Bush Finstrom, he was

Chrissy:

Tunnel rat?

Paul:

Yeah. Tunnel rat. He the dude was, like, a hundred and twenty five, a hundred and thirty pounds. Yeah. Five or something.

Chrissy:

And he was five foot,

Paul:

like, four. Yeah. And he would fucking I can't even imagine the shit that that motherfucker Yeah.

Chrissy:

He wouldn't tell about it.

Paul:

I would love to fucking get that fucker on if we could.

Chrissy:

And a lot of Mike's dad? Or your friend? Is he still alive? Yeah. Oh.

Paul:

Bush Schwefel. Okay. He was my hockey coach

Drew:

for Oh, really?

Paul:

Fucking, yeah, twenty years.

Drew:

Angry? No. Oh, some of them aren't. It goes either way. Right?

Drew:

Like, some of the

Chrissy:

Beauty is peaceful. He was bad alcoholic, Mike's dad. I Bad bad alcoholic.

Paul:

Bushman's room. I he was my hockey my hockey coach from, like, the time I could fucking skate till the time I got to fucking high school. And the only reason they switched him out in high school is because some dude came in from Blaine or no, Bloomington, Minnesota. And dude, it's it puts a fucking salty fucking taste in my mouth. But they let him come in and fucking coach us, and I'm like, this this motherfucker should have never been here.

Paul:

Butch was with us from, like, he basically fucking grew us from fucking, you know, ponies, mites Sure.

Chrissy:

Whatever Yeah.

Drew:

All the

Paul:

way up to fucking all the way up to fucking seniors. He knew who to put in, when to put them in, who could do what, and why they'd be there. And then they fucking they bring in some fucking coach from Bloomington Jefferson because he's got some fucking hockey title. Yeah. Yeah.

Paul:

Fuck.

Chrissy:

This is only a 100 calories, by the way, But

Paul:

I'm gonna drink that whole fucking thing. No. You're not.

Chrissy:

I don't even know. Because you're gonna like those.

Paul:

No. I'm not. That's IPA.

Chrissy:

Cream ale? Yeah. But it's IPA.

Paul:

I know. But Fuck.

Drew:

Well, that's fucking No. That's that's American style.

Paul:

That might

Drew:

be the

Chrissy:

Are they all four different?

Paul:

That's Are

Drew:

they just Those two are the same.

Chrissy:

They are.

Paul:

Then think these two are different. That's Maddie's.

Chrissy:

I wanna try the cream ale.

Drew:

That's a cream ale. Isn't that a cream ale?

Paul:

No. But you did

Chrissy:

send me Oh, I didn't oh, they are the same.

Paul:

You did send me a couple of ends.

Chrissy:

The cans look different.

Drew:

Because this is a Pilsner, and this is an IPA. So you get two cream ales.

Chrissy:

Okay. So they just put all of it. This isn't how they come in. I see. They must have just this is all the different kinds.

Chrissy:

Gotcha. Boom.

Paul:

You send me a couple of these.

Drew:

Are you gonna try all of them? You wanna try the cream ale?

Paul:

Yep. Alright.

Chrissy:

Are you trying this one's kinda got an aftertaste.

Drew:

Does it?

Chrissy:

A little bit.

Paul:

Like, what? I don't know. What cardboard?

Chrissy:

A little bit. Now that I've had a few sips of it.

Drew:

These are no gluten. No. That's your big seller on these. No gluten. Smells like

Chrissy:

I had a guy just reach out to me who opened up in Brooklyn, New York. He opened up Brooklyn. About the podcast he watches.

Paul:

Really? What?

Chrissy:

And he listens. He's reading his own Stillwater Minnesota. Gluten free brewery. He's got the only one that has all gluten free beers in Brooklyn, New York.

Paul:

Yeah. Is that the dude who does he's

Drew:

the Italian.

Paul:

Did he sell?

Chrissy:

No. He read he said he wants

Drew:

to do a accent?

Chrissy:

Like, spring us to New York.

Drew:

What kind of way? Do that. Yeah. Tell them

Chrissy:

eventually we'll do it, man.

Drew:

Why wouldn't you? It's a you to pack that up.

Paul:

What is this? This is the gluten. Fuck up.

Chrissy:

This is the cream ale blicks.

Drew:

Cream ale glutes. It's from Stillwater. It's gluten free. Not bad. Gluten removed.

Drew:

Oh. Oh, woman owned.

Chrissy:

Cheers to the woman trainer who won the Kentucky Derby. Nice. Do you get into horses horse racing?

Drew:

Back in the day, but I haven't I haven't been staying current.

Chrissy:

Been derby was yesterday.

Drew:

Algorithms for stuff, like, forever. So I used to roll write algorithms for the winners.

Chrissy:

How did you learn how to do write make apps and stuff? Now where did this training come from?

Drew:

It was in my head.

Paul:

Can you do

Chrissy:

it? It's in my head.

Drew:

AI shit? Yeah. Yeah. I can train AI stuff. I'm building I'm building a pretty cool app that, again, has to do with some of the other stuff we're doing.

Drew:

But Can make

Paul:

can you make money off of building that shit?

Drew:

This one will make really good money. Yeah. And it's Hard to say for

Chrissy:

yourself or for someone else?

Drew:

And, like, with one of these companies.

Paul:

How how do you make money off of something like that? Is this is it gotta be an app that's used the fuck out

Chrissy:

of it?

Drew:

Sponsors or you have the free version and the non free.

Chrissy:

Right.

Drew:

With AI, AI takes a lot of your So much and stuff. On the AI, you'll have a free side and then you have to have a paid side even to break even because it'll start costing you money and Yeah. So you need to come up with, like, something a scalable server for all the data processing and stuff like that. But you can make money with sponsors, like, just like your podcast. You know?

Drew:

Right. You can get Glukes. You know? You go talk to Glukes and be like, hey. We're featuring you.

Drew:

You're woman owned. We're woman owned.

Paul:

Right. Sponsorship. How do get dumb in the fucking sponsor me a drink course?

Chrissy:

It was a but you a Twitter. Insane. Met at probably at the gym, and you said you probably weren't allowed to talk to me, which

Drew:
