Full show transcript:

Um hi. Hello. I just read something. What is it? The youngest siblings are often labeled as spoiled, carefree, and the family favorite. Yeah. I've been called this a time or two in my uh days as being the youngest sibling. But therapists therapists say that that stereotype is inaccurate. And many youngest children say they feel pressured to live exp live up to expectations of being the fun and easygoing one. And I would have to agree.

I agree with you. You have that expectation.

I am expected to be the fun. Totally agree. It's a lot. It's a lot of pressure. It's a lot of pressure to bring the fun.

Do you enjoy being the one to bring the fun?

Yes. And no. I mean, yes, I do, but I sometimes there's just days where I just want to just chill and have somebody else bring the fun. But I'm not allowed to do that

because no one said you're not allowed to. First of all. No, because if you're an adult woman, you can decide for yourself to let someone else be in charge of the fun. That's fine. Now, but here's the herein lies the issue.

What's the issue?

The issue is if you are not in charge of the fun, and no one else brings the fun, you will not have fun, and then you will be cranky. That's not necessarily true. That is very true.

If nobody else brings the fun, then I will sit there and I'll wait for the fun to appear, and then I go, well, nobody else is bringing the fun, so I'm gonna have to be the fun. Stop it.

You already said I just want to chill out and relax. I don't want to be in charge of the fun. So separate your responsibility for fun from the emotion of dissatisfaction because you aren't having fun.

You're gonna have to. because no one else is going to do it because they expected you to do it. And if you straight up said, I'm not bringing the fun, somebody else is in charge of the fun this year.

People would go, well, but what are we gonna do? Because they haven't been faced with that challenge. Exactly.

And that's not your responsibility. This is your year off. That's you go, hey, I'm not the fun bringer this time.

Someone else is doing it. I'm gonna sit back and relax. I'm not gonna be in charge of the fun. I'm gonna show up and enjoy the fun. I like bringing the fun. What? I like bringing the fun. I told you. I told you.

Okay. Okay, here's what else. It is hard being the baby. And I'll tell you why.

Yeah, yeah. Is it hard to do? Yeah, I'll tell you why. Listen to Listen to me. Why? Because you're the baby.

Because I'm the baby I don't feel spoiled because we may have had more freedom and less strict parenting, but we've also felt dismissed and overlooked. you reading? And underestimated, and we often get treated like the baby long into adulthood. So quit acting like the baby. Listen to me.

Quit using, but I'm the baby. As an excuse to not do adult grown-ups.

No, people important things. People always go, well, you're just the baby. You can't be responsible.

No one, I've never heard anyone say that. What I've heard you say is I don't want to do that because I'm the baby. That's what I've heard. I've never heard anyone go, no, Chantel can't do that. She's too little. Not one person in the entire time I've known you has ever said, Don't give her that responsibility. She's just a little kid. She can't do it. She's the baby. They often repress me. Who? My family. They repress you?

Yeah. And they say, oh, she's no, they don't.

No.

It's hard being the baby. It's not. It is. No.

Try being the older sibling. Oh. With all the responsibility. Oh my gosh. having to care for everybody. Here we go. And trying to make sure everybody's safe. And then you gotta be in like grounded for your whole life because you make stupid little decisions, but then the baby one gets to do whatever they want. Whatever. Sure thanks. I'm the baby. Hey. It's hard.

Do you want to start today's show? You've been you've been feisty today. Oh, yeah. Today's show, you're a little bit rrrr. I think I think you need

to watch out for all my dinosaurs, because I'm a rar.

What maybe? You need to maybe go back to the woods, get some fresh air again. This the city is bringing you down. Here's today's show. Hello, good morning. Oh hey, hi. Good morning. What's up? Nothing. What's up with you? Oh, nothing. Cool. Well. Have a good one.

Why you got your hands like up by your mouth? I don't know. It felt comfortable. Oh. Relaxing. You didn't even have your elbows on the table. You were just like normally you'd be like, I'm tired. I'm just gonna rest here. But you didn't. You're just floating them out here like uh like a hand beard. What's it feels nice? It just feels nice.

Do you ever just do stuff and you're like, this feels kind of nice. I guess.

I can't think of an example.

Just resting my head in my hands, and it feels nice. Yeah.

But again, your elbows aren't on the counter. They don't need to be. You're still supporting the weight of your head with your neck. So you're not resting your head at all. It feels fine. All right. I mean, you're still doing it, so it must. I did, but now I'm over it.

And the hands are gone. You blew it. No, I had nothing to do with it. I just asked a question. And you are waking up. It's I feel like when I when Nick Jr.

used to be on in the morning in summer. Uh-huh. And I'd be like, oh man, can Nick Jr. just end in real Nickelodeon start? I feel like watching this was like watching Nick Jr.

What's that mean? And all that. I know Nick Jr., but why did you want Nick Jr. to end?

So the day could start. Like all the good shows. Let's get to the fun stuff.

No, or Backyardigans was on Nick Jr. Was it? Yeah. Or is that a Disney show? No. That was Nick Jr.

Now we gotta look at it. Anyway, when I was a kid, even it was the same feeling. Watching you go through that felt like watching Nick Jr. Go through your wake up program, whatever that was. Holding your hands and then yawning and rubbing your eyes. I went, man, what I'm watching wake up TV. I'm eating my cereal. Can't wait for a real cartoon. You know?

Well, go find it. Go find it. Well, it'll it'll be on in a minute. I don't know what you're even talking about.

It's part of a well-balanced breakfast. That's what it I just got that feeling, that nostalgia of that. Isn't that interesting?

I like Nick Jr. And I'll tell you why. Because there was Dora the Explorer. Yeah, Dora's great. It's Adora the Explore. I heard it. Blues clues, backyard kids, the bubble guppies. Yeah. The Wonder Pets, but we could do it out the Wonder Pets.

You don't like him because he has a lisp?

No, just because No, that's not why I didn't like him.

the phone is winging. And you go, oh, come on, kid.

No, it wasn't because he had a lisp. Okay. Why is it? They were annoying. Uh-huh. Because Bro, I got nothing against lisps. A little kid. What are you this morning? I can't even with you. Mm-hmm.

And then what came on after Nick Jr.? I don't know. I turned it off.

I didn't watch anything after Nick Jr.

All the good shows. Lots of SpongeBob. Mm-hmm. Lots and lots of SpongeBob. Good show. That was a good show. Yeah.

I'm a spend of my kids watch those shows. Way to make me sentimental. Well, do what I can.

And you're welcome for it.

I think now I'm awake. That's what this means. Yeah.

Because now I'm like, all right, the day has started. It feels like that we can begin. I like the Nick Jr. start. That was nice. All righty. Here is some good news for you. This is a story about Dave Bell. He's in uh Henrico, Virginia. He's a jolly man. He has a twinkle in his eye. And he also has a long white beard. Whoa. Which works perfectly when he spends time spreading cheer to children across Central Virginia each December as Santa's helper. Santa.

Isn't that nice? Or what you doing, bud?

Well, but the holidays are months away. So Dave here, he made the most of his downtime this summer by donating a kidney to help a stranger in need. He said, When I found out you can do this and still live, I was like, Well, this is just a no-brainer decision. It's not even a decision to make.

It's like, well, then obviously this is what you do. I have two. I can donate one and still live, just normal. Great. So he did that. And along the way, he brightened the spirits of the medical team at the uh hospital, and his amazing gesture impacted the life of a complete stranger in a very big way. He hopes his adventure will also inspire others to step up and help others in need. He said, if you can do it, just do it. Yeah.

Like if you can, go nuts. Do it. Kind of cool, Dave.

It is very cool. Dave Bell. He's good news. You uh want to hear a cool, fun, exciting conspiracy theory that uh happens today. Sure, sure. There is a uh TikToker and Instagram user whose account is now unavailable, by the way, uh, who made a claim that on August 12th, 2026, at what would be 833 this morning, uh the world will lose gravity for seven seconds. Whoa. What time?

At 833 this morning. Okay, I gotta write that down. Yeah. For seven seconds for seven seconds, okay, the world will lose gravity.

833. Uh-huh. Okay, got it. Yeah.

Sure thing. Now, uh in the claim, this user, again, whose account is no longer available, uh, claims that NASA knows and they're preparing us, but they won't tell us why. How are they preparing us? Uh I don't know that they're preparing us as much as they are preparing themselves, I guess. I don't know. Uh, there's this uh quote unquote leaked NASA document called Project Anchor that's kind of behind this whole thing, which reportedly leaked in November of 24.

Uh has an 89 billion dollar budget. And uh the whole idea here is that the seven seconds of of no gravity is gonna cause people to float up some 50 feet in the air at and then come crashing back down, causing mass casualties.

It's 50 feet, it's only seven seconds.

It Takes a minute, it's not like a vacuum going like you first of all, if you're sitting, an object not in motion is not going to all of a sudden float away. Now again, uh, you'd have to have the timing exactly right to even make it to the 50 feet mark. You'd have to be like, and jump and

when it's right when it happens ceilings in the way. Yeah, you're not going very far. I kind of hope this happens.

Ah, it'd be silly.

I mean, I don't want mass mass casualties, obviously. You just want to float around. Yeah, I kind of just want to just be like, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Yeah, okay. Uh here's here's a bit of an interesting thing, too. Uh, this particular theory of conspiracy uh falls on the same date as this year's total solar eclipse that will be seen from the Arctic to Spain, and people often link eclipses to dooms, and this happens to also fall on the day of an eclipse. So there's there's that.

Uh and okay, is this person who is claiming this conspiracy theory?

It the whole earth The whole Earth loses gravity gravity. So I mean, look, scientifically, this is not a thing. Physics say that you're not just gonna float away. Right. And uh and it's such a short amount of time. You could, you know, you know. Seven seconds, yeah. Right? It isn't it isn't like you're gonna float up hundreds of feet or anything.

Um that's seven seconds. I just counted.

Yeah, it's very fast. It's very, very fast. Um, you would need the planet to lose mass incredibly quickly. You would somehow have to get rid of the core, the mantle, the crust, and you wouldn't have a planet anymore. Yeah, everything is. would be... Yeah, it's just not a thing. Science says no.

No. Who listens to science?

I'm just you can't you can't stop the gravity without getting rid of the mass and the mass is too large. It's just not possible. So, you know, I mean, if you ignore all of that, sure. Okay, well, I'm gonna float away.

I'm gonna keep on checking the time. 833. 833. If I float away, I'm not gonna go far because I've got a I've got a ceiling. Just make sure you're seated

and count to seven, and you'll be fine.

I'm gonna be so disappointed. At 834, I'm gonna be like, man.

Yeah, 834 and seven seconds, you're gonna be disappointed.

Okay, but did this person, this person just said at 8 33? Did she say what time?

I don't know who this person is. No, that's the that's the UTC. It's like at three something UTC. What's UTC? The you the big time. Universal time. The big ultimate time and all the time zones work off of that. Our time local 8 33. Okay.

I'm waiting. I'm gonna be waiting for the biggest. Hey, what if I'm in the back room? Listen, no.

Wait to do your way-in today until 8 30. Yeah. Wow, I'm so light.

I need to plan accordingly. Don't go outside. Yeah. Don't go to the bathroom.

The internet's a silly place, isn't it?

The internet is a silly place. What would you do if you're floating around for seven seconds? It's not that long.

Cowboys ride a bull for longer. That's true. It's not that long.

The good ones, anyway.

Well, the ones that can ride a bull, right? The ones that stay stuck, hold on through the eight seconds. Anyway. That's uh that's the latest fun conspiracy theory for what could happen in an hour and twenty two minutes.

Everybody stay underneath the roof. Yeah. Don't go jumping. Stand still. What? Remember. Remember last week when you were out of town, and I got the whole bed to myself. And I got the whole remote to myself. And it was awesome.

You told me you had planned shows you were gonna watch. You were very excited. You were like, I'm washing the sheets. I'm gonna have clean sheets. I'm gonna have my shows. Yeah, I'm gonna sleep in the middle of the bed. Yeah. All by myself. Yeah. What? It was awesome. Okay.

I listen, I love you. I like having you around, but I have gotten the worst sleep that I've gotten since you've been home. I know. What's the deal? I don't know. And also the second, the day that you returned home, you turned on the dumbest show on the TV. Josh, that reptile show. You you gotta chill down.

I was I was learning all kinds of things about cobras and stuff. And I went, oh no. Oh no. What did you think about last night's show?

Oh, great. So fun. A guy in his truck getting his mods done. That's right. Fun. It was fun. I I couldn't even fall asleep. Like I was willing myself to fall asleep. I was like, okay, well, this show is boring enough that this should be easy. Just close your sleepy little eyeballs. Crash out. And I would close.

And then you got interested. No. Yeah. I closed my eyes. Like, actually, that is cool.

Close my eyes. And I was like, just fall asleep. Could it? Did I snore last night? No, because you put on your mask. That's right. The night before I was like, hey, bud, put on your mask.

You said that. So I made sure to put on a good boring show for you. Thanks. I kept to my side of the bed. You had two you had two-thirds of the bed. I wouldn't say that. The AC was on, which you don't like because you get cold, and I sweat to death all night, even with it on. I didn't mind.

But I don't mind the AC on because I can snuggle on down in the bed. I had the AC on most of the time while you were gone.

What? I don't know what to tell you. Sorry, I'm home.

No, I'm happy that you're home. I just said I like you. I like having you around. Just not when you're trying to just let me just watch what I want to watch on TV. Just give me the remote. Here's the thing. What?

About when you have the remote. When you have the remote, I get to watch the same show seven times. Because you turn it on and then you fall asleep. And then I have to find the remote to turn on what I want to watch, which I should have done the original time.

Like the last night. Because you usually turn it on and watch about four minutes and then you're out. And then I go, okay, I can either let this play out or get out of bed and go get the remote.

And so next night.

The next night you turn on the same show and I go, I've already seen all of this. Okay. Might I proposition a sleep divorce. No. I'm not getting my own room. Why not?

I'm Just kidding. I don't want you to move out of the bedroom. I just want the remote. Please can I have the remote? No.

But if you know what you need? Earplugs and a sleep mask. Try that. An extra blanket, earplugs, and a sleep mask. You might be in good shape. How so? Because you won't be able to hear any kind of snoring or show you're not interested in. It'll be blacked out dark behind your sleep mask. And your extra bright keep you warm. Your lamp.

So it's terrible TV shows. You leave your lamp on and you forget to put on your your mask. Yeah. Welcome home, honey. Wow. Well.

I feel the welcome. I feel it. Been home for uh fewer days than I was gone for. And this is this is it. This is the love right here.

I said I like having you around. Right.

Until bedtime. And then go away. No. Yeah.

Just give me the remote. Turn off your light and give me the remote. Just two easy peasy things. Please. No. No. If you've been driving around Idaho Falls long enough, you know that there's a building that's going in on Hit Street. Hit Street. Where's Hit Street? What's it called? Hit Road. It's Hit Street. It's never been hit street.

Sometimes people call it 25th, but it's also not 25th Street. It's 25th East, which is very Utah thing to type uh type of thing to say. Just call it hit road. Hit street. It's not hit street. Hit avenue. It's hit road. Go on. What's being built on Hit Road? There's a raising canes. That's right.

And every time we drive by, my daughter, our daughter, daughter, yes. Says, Oh, I might have birthday canes.

Yeah, so her birthday is about a month away. Do you have uh an opening date?

There's no official grand opening date yet. Oh, man. I know I just looked.

So she, but she really wants birthday canes. She really does. Yeah.

So project managers of the raising canes in Idaho Falls.

Listen up. You're on the clock. You got one month. You got one month to finish the build out, hire train, and at least soft open. A little bit more than a month. And four days. Not much more.

You have until September 16th.

That's what I said. Four days, a month and four days. Hustle.

Otherwise, you're gonna have a real cranky 17-year-old. That's right. 17. I know. Our baby's gonna be 17. Whoa. I know. Whoa. It's weird. We've been hearing about birthday plans for the last three months. The last year.

Clear back in, yeah, clear back in April. She was like, I don't know what I want to do for my birthday. Yeah. I was like, cool. Good thing you have until September. Good thing you have five months.

Well, now she knows. And it's birthday canes. And uh and we're gonna be taking a trip if if it doesn't happen.

Well, it's not just gonna be birthday cadence is gonna be part of the plan. I know. She's got a whole big idea in her head. She does. She always does.

What's the rest of it? What's her expectation? A lot of money spent. I don't have a lot of money. What's her expectation?

She wants to either go to Lagoon. Oh boy. Kajing. Or uh Boise to do that arcade thing that they have there. Kajing. Uh also. I don't know. I don't know what we've done to our daughter. We've spoiled her.

Okay. To where she has these expectations in her head, I think. She wants a new vanity. She's she has a vanity, but it's small and it's kind of broken.

And I go, she said, I really need a new vanity. I probably hear this about once a week. Well, your birthday's coming. I said your birthday is coming up. And she goes, That's not a birthday present. I'm sorry. What? It could be. If it has a bow on it, isn't it? Ta-du. What is when do you get that? Like uh like a Tuesday present?

Yeah. Oh yeah. It's Tuesday. New vanity day.

I don't know what she expects to get for her birthday. I don't know. I don't either. But she is expensive. Yeah. Does she have a wish list somewhere? I have no idea.

I'm curious to see what's on there. I feel like it's like an old trip. You know. What? For her birthday? Something like that. No, it's not gonna be that.

That's that's just a regular Tuesday. That's a Tuesday. Oh no. No. She wants a lot of stuff, Josh. She wants us to hang the moon.

Oh, you want me to lasso the moon? Not hang it. Lasso it. Pull the moon down here for you. Hang the moon. It's already up there. What are What are you talking about? I don't know. I'm gonna laugh. You want me to lasso the moon and pull it down here for you? Hang the moon.

That's like that's when you think somebody's pretty cool. Oh, he she thought he hung the moon. It's that. That's that's I've never heard that in my life. Yes, sir. That's the idiom I messed up. He thought she thought he hung the moon.

You would have thought he hung the moon. That's how it goes. Okay. Well, yeah.

He hung the moon meaning is completely flawless, wonderful, capable of doing no wrong. Uh-huh. Maybe you've never heard of that before. Never. It's a thing. Cool. Why aren't you saying anything?

I'd have nothing to say. I don't know her expectation other than birthday canes. That is the part that I'm aware of.

Well, then I need to tell her to get you wrapped up in the plans because I hear about them every day. I just keep you wrapped up. Mom, we could go to Boise and do the Wahoos thing, or we could go to Lagoon.

I go, oh my gosh, this is gonna be a $600 trip. Either way. What is it? A Tuesday? I have a really expensive daughter. I know. I've met her. I'm aware. I don't know what to do about it. I don't know what to do either. Make a list. Okay.

Get her to put together a uh a spreadsheet. Of what? Gifts? Yeah. Whatever it is, her expectation.

You better not put a vanity on there. Yeah, no, that's not a gift. Sometimes you show me that you love me in in different ways, such as you planted a lot of beats because you knew I liked them. That's right. You don't like beats, but you do. So you were like, I'm gonna plant you some beats because I know you like them. What?

I don't like beats, but you do. Isn't that what I said? Close.

Josh doesn't like beats, but Chantel does. That's right. So Josh planted beats.

Now you're in a weird third person.

Because if I keep saying you and me and I and us and it's confusing. Okay.

I was keeping up, but that's all right.

You didn't look like you were. Your face looked confused.

No, I I was with it. The words were jumbled, but I was I was there. Okay. So yes, I I know you like beets. So I planted from seed. I grew some beets this year. Uh, and I've harvested about half of them. That bowl is about half. Get out of here. No, I will not.

There's so many. We're gonna have so many beats.

Yeah, so we're talking about doing some pickling, pickling some beats. Yeah.

And we have a couple of people who are like, I'll have some. I'll take some. Yeah. A coworker, somebody we know from Scouts. Yeah. They're like, I'll take some. We got we're it's fine.

Our beats are gonna get taken care of. No worries. Excellent. So that was one thing I was like, Josh likes me. And then I've been talking about learning how to play the drums for a while.

True story. And we have a drum kit, but it's not put together as not assembled, yeah. In pieces in our garage. Yeah, it's just all broken down.

And last yeah. It's stored away. At 9 30, you decided to get out the three pieces that you think I need to start. And the stool. And the stool, yeah.

So I got you the hi-hat, the snare, and the and the kick drum and the stool. And the stool. Yeah.

And you set them up in the living room for me. Right. So that I could do a little bit of a practice run. That's right.

And you were practicing last night. I was practicing. How do you think I did? I think you need some more practice.

I appreciate your honesty.

It's the first time you've sat down at a kit. Yeah. You know, if you were some kind of prodigy all of a sudden, that would have been something. That would have been so awesome. What if you sat down and you're like, this is the thing. And it was like and you're and you're like, I need all the other pieces right now.

Dude, wouldn't that be a good one? That would have been something. But that's not what happened. No, that's dang it. It's okay. At least I know how to keep a beat. I know how to keep rhythm. It's just now a matter of practice. Practice. Right.

And I'm and then lessons. Like you want to actually like take a real formal lesson. Yeah. Yeah.

I'm committed to this. Now listen, listen to me when I've told you that I we bought a piano. Yeah. Six years ago.

We need to get that thing tuned. I know. Still. And we had uh a friend of the show give us the name and number of someone who tunes pianos, and we haven't reached out. And that was years ago. I know it. We've had the piano for six years. Yeah. Yeah.

Because I've always wanted to play the piano. And I was like, I'm gonna play the piano. I didn't stick with that one. And then I was like, I've always wanted to play the cello. I'll I'll rent a cello and I'll play the cello. Yeah. I'm gonna stick with this one. I promise.

Okay. Because one, I think it's cool. Like the cello's beautiful and I love the cello. And the piano is beautiful and I love the piano. Maybe I'll learn the cello. Those are necessary.

And I'll play the cello for you. Okay. Yes.

As like lull me to sleep at night.

No, I'll do that with my fun videos that I put on on YouTube. Thanks. I it works.

Okay, you took a picture of me playing the drums. You said you hate the photo. Yeah. I thought I looked, I thought I was gonna look cooler than that. Well I'm confused. I don't look very cool. Is that the only picture you took? Yeah. Oh. Was that you don't think you look very cool? No. I see.

What about it? Is it that you don't like?

I I don't like the outfit that I'm wearing. Okay. I also don't like that I'm barefoot. Okay. That looks sick. It looks weird. My hand placement looks dumb. My face looks dumb. Okay. I just thought that's the only picture you took.

You said take a picture. I did.

But then you take a couple to see which one.

You didn't say take some pictures. You said take a picture. So I took a picture and texted it to you. I followed instruction. If you wanted me to take photos, then say, hey, will you snap some photos so I have several to choose from?

Usually when somebody says, hey, will you take my picture? You take a couple because what if somebody's eyes are shut? Or if what if something looks dumb? And then you take a picture, a couple of pictures, and then say, here, choose from those which ones you like best. That's typically what happens. This is not your first rodeo at picture taking. Why aren't you doing? It's a that picture looks so dumb.

Well, I wasn't gonna put shoes on you. Change your outfit.

You could have said as you were taking the picture, maybe let's put some shoes on.

No, I just took the picture and texted it to you.

Yeah, I know, Josh. I know exactly what you did. I'm gonna have Emery take my picture. Because she looked at it and she went, I go, yeah, it looks dumb. I go, I thought I looked cooler. And she goes, maybe you just need some shoes. So I'm gonna have Emery take my picture today. She knows what to do. No, don't. Josh. What? It's times like this where I go, he doesn't like me at all. Whatever.

I followed through on the required task.

I do appreciate that you you got the drums out without me having to ask. That was sweet. That was a considerate gesture. And now, oh baby.

The drumming, the drumming has arrived.

One and two and three and four. And click, click, click. I gotta get a metronome. Okay. There's an app for that. Okay. Well, am I gonna be able because I'm gonna be using a YouTube tutorial? Can I use the app and the YouTube tutorial?

Where where is the uh where is the drum kit located? In the living room. Lucky everybody. And what else is in the living room? The dog. Oh what? The the TV. Oh yeah. True. And you can put the metronome in your earbuds so you can hear the you see what I'm saying? I do see what you're saying. All right.

Hey, listen, you did some drumming practice. You looked really cool. I was like, Josh. You didn't even take a picture. I wasn't given instructions to. Oh.

Normally when people see something they think it's cool and they want to keep for memories, they capture it in multiple photos. And then sometimes they'll share those photos. Sometimes they don't.

But sometimes they do. And I go, when did you take that photo? And you go, Oh, I took a bunch. Oh, is that right? Yeah. See all these photos I took. You could choose one that you like. Yeah. Sometimes people do that. Sometimes. Sometimes people don't. That's right. Sometimes people don't.

Have you ever had a pile of stuff that you're gonna donate? And then as it's being loaded, like you pull up to the donation center, and the people come out and help you unload it. And then as you're watching it get like moved away from you're like, oh, should I keep that? That's what just happened. I know.

That's a weird way to bring up what just happened. Do you ever yeah? You just did that the other day. I had a couple of things in the back of the truck I had to drop off, and so drove into the little donation thing. Hop out, hand them the stuff, and you were like, You didn't take your bucket and shovel, did they? And I went, No, I handed them the things that were for donation, and you were like, but do I want that stuff?

Yeah, it was much. watching It was a cute basket. And then there was that little picture holder thing, and I was like, oh, that's kind of cute. No. Maybe I want that back.

No. You don't. I didn't. I let it go. I was like, goodbye. I have a garage full of stuff. I know I do too. But I also do that where I go.

That's because we have the same garage, by the way. I just want to clarify. It isn't like you have a separate garage with stuff in it. When I said I have a garage full of stuff, and you said, Yeah, me too. No kidding. You think it's the same garage. Okay. We live in the same house with the same one garage that has stuff that needs to be donated in it.

There's some times where I will put stuff in a box or a garbage sack to be donated.

Yeah, and then it just ends up in the garage.

I know. And then it's been there for so long, and that I go, I don't even remember what's in here. And then I'll take it all out and I'll be like, oh, I kind of want to keep this.

But that's what you do with the dog's toys. There's a box also in the garage. Okay. Both of our garage the the same garage. We both have a box of dog toys.

I did that with the dog's toys because she had too many, and I was like, well, and she got disinterested in some of them. And so I said, if I take away some, then I'll like reintroduce them, and then maybe she'll be like, oh yeah, I'm excited about it. about

this. You're doing that same thing to yourself. I took the stuff and put it in a bag and put it in the garage, and then I forgot about it, and then I opened up the bag and went, Oh, look at all this cool stuff. You've done the same thing to yourself that you've done to the dog. You've reintroduced yourself to stuff. Yeah, it's exciting. Isn't it? Yeah.

Let me tell you something. Well, you were me tell you something. when you were gone, I was like, I'm gonna go through. I have a lot of clothes. And I was like, I'm gonna go through my drawers, yeah, and my closet and figure out what fits and what doesn't, and get rid of a bunch of stuff. Right. And I organized all of my drawers and the closet.

Nice. The closet, we have a really small closet because our house is old. You think I take up two-thirds of the closet.

You do. I think I take up like 50%. I think it's a 50-50.

It's not a 50-50. Let me tell you that the hook where we hang the clothes, I think I have a little more space than you do. But the shelf on top, you have more space than I do.

Because you put stuff in drawers that I don't.

Okay, well, that means it evens out, doesn't it? No. If I have more on the on the rack,

no, because I'm also storing a box up there. If I took the box out, I'd have more closets.

Well then take the box out. That's your own problem. It doesn't matter what you store up there. It's still your space.

If I take the box out, all my stuff will move over. There'll be a gap in the middle, and you'll go, Oh, look, and all that space I can fill with stuff. That must be mine. Yeah, exactly. Your shoes push past the half, your clothes push past the shoes. That's a lie.

Your shoes push past the half. It's gonna have luggage in there.

So I have to push a little bit more to the side. I got them stacked up.

Okay, so I uh I was trying to remember where I was going with the story.

Can I tell you what needs to happen? What? I'm not trying to kick him out. But when our son moves out of the house, I'll just move into that closet. You will?

Yeah. Why will you move in there? Because you're not gonna want to have to leave the room to pick your outfits. So I'll just move my stuff. Okay. Yeah, look, how excited you are. Oh, okay.

But can I have some of that closet too? No. No.

Fine. I've been trying to figure out what I was gonna do with my studio downstairs. I've been thinking about remodeling it. Maybe I'll just turn it into my hangout. It'll be my closet. It'll be my space. I'll just have my bed there. You want me out of the bed. Josh. I'll just go where I can watch my own shows. Turn my studio into my one room in the house that I get to myself so I can just have all my things put away.

Wow. Wow. Wow.

Somebody feels like a lot of things. I have to move my fly tying stuff in there because it's it's a an eyesore in the other room. It is not. I've never said that. Just like I don't live there. It'll just be like 98% of the house is Chantel's space, and I get this one room that's my two percent.

I'll just edit you out of all of the photos.

That's exactly right. Yeah. This is like I don't exist. It's fine. Oh you can have all the closets. Sh do you hear that? Oh, what is it?

Sounds like a sad sad violin playing. Like taps, I think.

Oh, it's playing taps. Wow. Isn't that this is a new segment that you have wanted to bring to the show? I am unprepared with music. I have uh I I was gonna put together, you know what I was gonna get? Was the how it's made music. Oh, Josh. I was gonna put the how it's made music uh underneath uh okay.

For anybody listening, I really do try to I like I think about our show all the time, and I think about how we can improve and how we can make it better.

Um so I'm constantly thinking about things to talk about or things to try or things to do. I found it. I haven't even gotten there yet. It's fine, go ahead. So the other day, I was like, hey, you know what's a cool invention?

And then you just rattled off stuff because we were talking about like I needed new hangers. The wheel and No, I said hangers.

No, I said I needed new hangers, and I said, I need to get some hangers. And I go, that's a cool invention. Hangers is a cool invention. That would be a good segment on the radio just to talk about. No, it isn't cool invention.

You know what's a cool invention? The chair. You know what's a cool invention? The retaining wall. You know what's a cool invention? The scoop bucket.

What are you talking about? How it's made.

Yeah. It's a good bit. Okay, let's see. Is it?

So then I was thinking about going back to the hangers. I said, when did the hanger get invented? Because that's a great invention. Because before that, people just used to

like just throw their clothes on the ground.

No, they just they put them in their armoirs.

You know what's a cool invention? What? An armoire. You know what is a cool invention? The clothesline. But then also the clothes pin.

Okay, so then I was thinking about how like people used to travel back in the day when they didn't have hangers, and they would put everything in a trunk. And then I said, trunks were heavy. So another cool invention is luggage with wheels. Another cool invention. The wheel.

You know what else somebody invented? Fire. You know what else a cool invention? Bobby pins. A windbreaker. What are you talking about? Every single thing.

Doorknobs.

Mears said. You know what's a great invention? A mirror.

Referee whistles.

Yeah, because we were driving past a football field and I went, oh, referee whistle. There's a good invention. What did people do? Hey, stop! Stop playing. Stop. It's not a good bit. I'm turning off the music. Wow.

You're not it's not like you're coming up with any bits or trying to improve the show at all.

What are you talking about?

I'm just you can't slam my idea when you don't have anything to contribute. Hey. Hey, what? I have nothing to contribute. What? That was a little harsh. You think you think?

I'm the only one over here pulling my weight. 99% of the show. It's me. Yeah, that's why I get it. You're barely even bring one percent. That's why I get more of the hanger. Of the closet.

Out of the closet. You bring 99%.

We've been married for a lot of years. We've had this house for way more years than we've done the show. You've had the same amount of closet the whole time. You were like, nah, this will be my half. And it bleeds over into your half, and that's your problem. So it's closet's a real hang-up. Hey. Got any more super cool inventions?

No, because you said it was a dumb idea. So I deleted it.

What is it? Well, you want you just want to list off stuff.

I know. The idea was a cereal box.

What an invention. No. What'd they do before that? Just handfuls they'd hand out. Come get your Cheerios. Here you go. A handful of them. We can't figure out how to do this any better. And somebody was like, what if you put it in a box? And they're like, you're a genius. The cereal box. What a great invention. See? I know. See. See what?

That's the that's the whole bit. And every day it would be another cool invention.

You want to do this bit every day? I guess not. Every day you just want to list off stuff you think is cool. You know what else is a cool invention? This button. Would you rather this or that?

Would you rather know your next big adventure or your next next big challenge?

If I know my next big challenge, I can prepare. So I'm kind of gonna pick that. Are you?

Yeah, because I mean you could if you knew your next big adventure, you could prepare for that too.

Yeah, but my next big adventure, that sounds like a fun surprise. Whereas my next big challenge, I would rather have time to prepare because it's gonna be a challenge, you see.

I do, I do see.

Yeah, so I think I'm picking that one. Okay. That seems like something I'd want a heads up on. Based upon the two. A big adventure? Great, awesome, cool. Big adventure. Nice. I want a big adventure. Me too. But the next big challenge could also be my next big adventure.

It could be one and the same, couldn't it?

That's right. Because like I have an idea for what I want to be my next big adventure, and it's gonna be a challenge, and so I just have to kind of figure things out. You do? Yeah.

You have an idea of what your next big adventure is? Yeah. What is it?

You already know. Do it. It's a fishing adventure. Oh, yeah, yeah. In Wyoming. That's right.

The Wyoming cutthroat slam. That's right.

So that's a challenge and an adventure, isn't it? It is. Yeah, for sure.

So you already know the answer to this. Your next big adventure is your next bigger. That's what I just said, isn't it? Wow. You were feisty today. What are you picking? Um adventure. I like to be surprised by my challenges. I don't want to prepare. Just throw it at me, and then I'll take it as it comes. Sure. My that's kind of the mantra I live with. No, it's not.

It is absolutely not that.

Why do you say that?

Because that makes it sound like you live dangerously.

I do live dangerously. Hello. It's like you don't even know me. I live dangerously. Would you rather this or that? We were just doing some football talk over here. Right. Because I gotta figure out. Here's the thing about football.

What is the thing about football?

When I started to watch football, I got into it. It was uh it was a way to bond with my son who is super into football, and he can remember stats and players and all of this.

And I know where they all went to college and what pick they were and what year.

I cannot draft retain all of that information. And so he is my football encyclopedia. And so then I would say, Beck, who's that guy? Where is that guy? How many yards did that guy and he can tell me? Okay, and then he kind of took a back seat to football yesterday or last season. Our son did. And so then that meant I took a back seat to football. Okay. So I didn't really follow along as much as I wanted to or should have. And now I don't even necessarily know the shakeups that have happened.

Because here's the thing. the thing about football.

There's a lot of shakeups every season.

I know the drama, right?

And I was just trying to figure out who is who's coach. I know the Steelers have a new coach. I know the Ravens have a new coach. I know Dolphins have a new coach.

Yeah. The Giants have a new coach. The Giants have the former Ravens coach. That's right. John Harbaugh. I know that. Because I like the Ravens. Right. I do not like the Giants. So Why? I don't have any reason to. Okay. All right.

Well, let me tell you, Vikings are playing the Giants this weekend. I know. So we got to keep our coach. KOC. Yeah. Kevin O'Connell. Oh, he's my guy. Okay.

We're starting with a new quarterback. We're not starting with JJ McCarthy. We're starting to.

Which is surprising to me. You guys put a lot of investment in JJ McCarthy, but you're not starting them. You're starting your uh trade pickup from Arizona, Kyler Murray.

He's listening I read up about it. And we're starting Kyler Murray because I trust KOC.

I trusted coach. Coach, why are you calling him KOC?

Because that's what I call him.

No, it's not. You just started this. This is brand new. Hey, K-O-C. No, you don't. You don't have his phone number. You don't ring him up like you're a sideline input. Like ah, you guys gotta call that good play. What are you talking about?

I call up, call him up. I said, KOC, you got Jets playing today. And he's like, you know it, baby. Is that what he says?

He's never said that phrase ever in his entire life. Ever. Okay. Well, you know, I'm just looking at tickets to this game, by the way. It's in New York. So we would have to fly to New York, so there's that. But you can get tickets for 10 bucks because it's a preseason game.

This weekend. We already have plans this weekend.

Well, I'm just saying, like you could. You could get like even like the best seats in the house for 467 dollars a piece. Dude, that'd be dope. Yeah. Wouldn't that be so cool? It would be fun. 10 bucks.

It's just, I mean, you'd be in the nosebleeds for $10. I mean, if you want to be like second thing. Let me look. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. How much are these? How much of these seats? Right here. Come on.

Did you know a Mike Tomlin, the former? I did not, I forgot about this. I probably knew this when it happened, but the former Steelers coach, he is he's gonna do sports broadcasting.

Oh, so he's not coaching at all. He's off the field.

Yeah. He has like the best one-liners.

He's got a whole t-shirt line with some of that stuff on there.

That his wife put together. Yeah. Yep. All right. I'm gonna have to get back into football.

I gotta do a brush up on who went where.

I gotta do a dive into I don't even know who my team is. I know that Jordan Addison is still there. I know that Jefferson is still there. Yeah. And uh KOC is still there. Okay. No one calls him that. I do. Kevin O'Connell.

So you got Kyler Murray as your quarterback. That's kind of the big deal. Uh I'm looking at some training camp highlights for you. Okay. Uh, you gotta you got a new slogan. Maybe this is not a new slogan, but at the Vikings website, the slogan across the top says, Feel the north.

Oh, baby. Isn't that cool? Yes, that is cool. School. We're coming for you. For who? Every other team. No. We're coming for that championship.

Hey, what's the date today? You signed a new running back today. Did we? You did. And I believe he's from Detroit. Yep. Dude. You took a Detroit player.

I like Detroit. That's okay. We can be friends. No, I know, but they're an in division.

In division rival. And you took one of their running backs.

People say that I can't like people in my division. And I like who I like. His name is. Couldn't tell you. Going to confuse you. What is it?

Germar Jefferson. Oh, no. You picked up running back Jermar Jefferson. Who else is on your team? Justin Jefferson. Justin Jefferson. And who else? Jamar. Yeah. Germar. J-E-R M-A-R. Jamar.

Dude, we also still have TJ Hawkinson. Great. That's right. When TJ Hawkinson goes head to head with uh anybody? What's his name? They're never on the field at the same time, but uh who's the tight end for the Chiefs? I can't even remember his name. Travis Kelsey's. Oh, I I could have forgot. I totally forgot.

Feel the North. Get with it. School. Let's go, Vikes. All right. No one calls them that either. We are gonna wrap up the show. You are out of pocket right now, as the kids say. And we are going to be back tomorrow with a brand new one for you. Uh thanks for hanging out with us. Nominated teacher at KLCE.com for treaty teacher with PSI Environmental. Tomorrow, Kid Smarts at 745, 820, another North Pole password. Your chance to win Manheim steamroller tickets. So make sure you're paying attention then. What else is going on?

Oh, I just wanted to say that there is a coworker here who said that when I talk about

football, let's go to his office and talk football.

I'm insufferable. And so I just want to just I just want to do it more to annoy him.

You talking sports is one of my favorite things because you got so you get so emotionally invested.

About things that I don't even know what I'm talking about.

No, you know what you're talking about. You just love the emotion and the drama. You don't care about how well they're performing on the field. Yeah. You're like, no, but he threw his helmet and that makes me cranky.

But if I yeah, if I'm playing people I don't like, then I'm like, oh I will talk a big game against you. Yeah, watch out. Okay. Happy Tuesday. Well, Wednesday. It's Wednesday. It's Wednesday, my dudes. It's Wednesday. See you tomorrow. Bye.
