A faith-forward podcast for people who love Jesus but also love being honest about how weird and wonderful life can be. Hosts Kerrye and Jill tell stories about the Bible, talk about their faith, and dig into what it looks like to follow God through the ordinary chaos of everyday, imperfect life. Real conversations. Real stories. No pretending to have it all together. Pull up a chair, turn the page, and let's go.
Welcome to Chapter and Verse, where people
come on and tell their real stories,
faith, failure, redemption, and the
occasional, "Lord, what are you doing?"
moment.
Some inspiring, some messy, and some that
probably should have come with a warning
label, because through every chapter
of every story, God is still writing.
And He's not afraid of a little chaos.
This is Jill.
And Kerrye.
Let's turn the page.
Okay.
Well, we're just here with our good
friend, Shannon Yarbrough, and we're so
excited- Yay, Shannon ⦠you're here.
Oh my gosh.
Um, tell us a little bit about yourself.
Oh, what about myself?
Okay, um, okay, the awkward moments.
Um- So I, I'm married to Brad,
and we've been married 32 years.
Mm-hmm.
Congrats.
And we hadâ¦
I know.
He's still my sweetheart.
Um, uh, we have three children.
Our oldest daughter is married.
Mm-hmm.
And so we've got one that's married
and moved out, then we have one that's,
uh, , she's dating a really cool guy.
I like him.
Uh, yeah.
Really, really like him..
And then, uh, our son is 17.
Mm-hmm, and he's awesome.
Yeah, and- Listen, Daulson just
blesses my heart all the time, and
like- ⦠if you would've told me when
he was in children's church that he
would be, like, one of my faves as,
like- Not that he was- ⦠a worker.
You know- He wasn't bad.
He was just, you know, wild
Yeah, he was a little wild.
Yeah You know, he was,
he was a little wild.
But, like, he's so good with kids.
So good with them.
So good with kids.
He's, like, my go-to.
Kerrye's like, "Well, who
do you think we should get?"
I'm like, "Daulson."
Yeah, he's good.
He's just great.
He is.
I think, I think that's-- He
really has a heart for kids.
Yeah, he does.
Mm-hmm.
And he has a heart for ministry.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
And I never would have pegged when he was
small that he would like children so much.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yeah, right.
Well, we wouldn't have either.
Never like him, you know?
Yeah.
Uh, but he-- they click.
They're- They really do ⦠they're,
they have a lot of fun in his Sunday
school class when he's- Mm-hmm ⦠you
know, I know he's sharing with Joy and
all that, but he's, he's really good.
Yeah.
Good job, Mom.
Yeah, for sure.
Aw.
With all of them, they're all great.
Yeah.
Wow.
So, and they're all real good with kids.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
I, yeah, I know.
So.
Yeah.
I don't know what
happened you're so funny.
Okay, well, so what, what chapter
are you going to share about today?
Oh, okay.
So, uh, my understanding was just, like,
something that was pivotal in my life.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
That meant chapter in
your life is what I mean.
Great.
So I think that for me, my chapter, I,
I've been raised in church my whole life.
Mm-hmm.
I went, I went to church
before I was born.
I was one of those- Yeah
babies- Same ⦠where we were in
church before we were ever born.
Mm-hmm.
And so I've never not known church.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Um, and just a kinda little
backstory about my life.
My, my dad, uh, was a Baptist.
He was just a hardcore Baptist.
And my mom, uh, my birth mom passed
away when I was a little girl,
and so my dad and mom remarried.
Or my dad married a lady.
Right.
And she was United Pentecostal Holiness.
Oh.
Or Church of God Prophecy.
Mm-hmm.
And so you have Church of God Prophecy
and Baptist in the house together.
That's, yeah- Mm-hmm ⦠that's
a little different.
You think?
But the good news about that raising
that I have, I literally treasure
with everything that I have in me,
was that we would genuinely go to a
Baptist church on a Sunday morning.
Mm-hmm.
And then we would go to a
Church of God Prophecy or a, a
Pentecostal church on Sunday night.
Yeah.
And so I lived my entire life going
to different denominations, different
churches- Mm-hmm ⦠going places.
And so I have watched and seen how
the Lord works and moves in every-
Yeah ⦠church that you go to.
Mm-hmm.
If you-- they want the Lord, they
love the Lord, you're gonna find
the Lord in every church you go to.
Yes, yes.
So that was uniform.
Mm-hmm.
And that was a pivotal
part of my growing up.
Um, and so it wasn't until later on
in life that I was filled with baptism
of the Holy Spirit when I was 13
at a little country church- Mm-hmm
in Danville, Arkansas.
Mm-hmm.
Tiny little country church, and filled
with baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Mm-hmm.
And then didn't really understand it all.
Yeah.
Uh, didn't understand everything.
Um-
And growing up, I would go to a Baptist
church camp, and then the next week I
would go to a Pentecostal church camp.
So it was, it was wild.
Yeah.
It was my wild childhood and, but-
You were just getting it from both
ends of the- I was ⦠spectrum, yeah.
I was either once saved, always saved, or
I was, you know, or- Like at any moment.
At any moment- Yeah ⦠we're going up.
Uh, but I appreciate that background
because- Yes ⦠I-- it opened
my mind to such broader- Mm-hmm
scopes of- Mm-hmm ⦠what the Lord
can do- Mm-hmm ⦠and who He is.
Um, so when I was a teenager, met Brad.
I'll just tell you a
little bit about that.
Met Brad when I was a
senior in high school.
He is my high school sweetheart.
Oh, I love it.
He is my high school sweetheart.
He is the love of my life.
Mm-hmm.
And we got married right out of-- I
got married right out of high school.
Mm-hmm.
I graduated in May and
got married in October.
Ooh.
Yeah.
Yeah, so he's, he was my one and only.
Mm-hmm.
He was my one.
And so with that all being said, I
grew up in a loving people, a lot
of people that love the Lord so
much, but I just didn't understand
relationship with- Mm-hmm ⦠the Lord.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
And I don't know how to
put that into perspective.
I just-- if, if you grew up
in- Yeah ⦠the '70s- Yep.
Exactly.
Mm-hmm ⦠'80s, it was a difficult time,
or not difficult, but you were eitherâ¦
I mean, we were-- the Lord was coming
at any instant, so- Yes ⦠anything
you did, you were constantly-- I
was constantly asking- Catapulted.
Yeah, I was constantly-
Fearful ⦠yeah, I was constantly
asking the Lord, "Did I sin?
Have I missed it?"
Mm-hmm.
"Have I missed it?"
Yes.
I mean, I was so afraid of doing
anything that I- Yeah ⦠was
afraid to do everything.
Yeah.
Yep.
And then, you know, uh, I was so--
that, that was such a bondage- Mm-hmm.
Mm.
⦠in my mind, and I lived with that.
Right.
So Brad and I got married.
We, we started going to, uh, an Assembly
of God church, and, uh, I was so-- that
was something I wanna-- that was something
that I just really struggled with.
So years had went by, we were married.
We already had a couple
of children by that point.
We were going to RFA.
We had been at RFA for, I don't know,
years, and I still struggled with the
thought that I don't understand if I
mess up, if I don't read enough chapters,
if I don't- Mm-hmm ⦠do this or do
that, I, I'm gonna disappoint the Lord,
and I don't wanna be a disappointment.
And it was one Sunday, or not Sunday,
one Saturday morning or one morning
during the day, uh, during the week, and
I was getting up to pray, read, study
And I never could get past a certain
point in my relationship with God.
I just could not.
I hit a wall, and I just was,
"I mean, I can't do more."
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
I can't pray more, fast
more, do anything more.
And I, I was soâ¦
I was angry about that, honestly.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
I was just very, very angry.
And I was-- I remember sitting there
that I was in a recliner at my, in the
house, and I asked, I was like, "What?
Why?"
And he's like, "I want
you to write outâ¦"
I just felt the Holy Spirit talking to me.
And at that point, you just have to
understand, I really wasn't asâ¦
The Lord has done a lot of work
in me in the last years, okay?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
I just really felt the Lord was like,
"You need to write out everything
that you feel like or are upset about.
Write it all out, and I want
you to let me know what it is."
Yeah.
"Write it all out."
And he go- And be truthful.
And I remember feeling that, and I was
like, "There's no way I can tell God that
I'm angry about this or I'm mad about
that, or I don't like this," or Iâ¦
My genuine true heart.
Right.
Because if I show that, he's
going to not love me anymore.
Mm-hmm.
That was where my relationship was.
I thought, "Oh, there's
no way I can do that."
And I just really felt so strongly
that day that, I mean, just
an urgency, write it all out.
So that morning, I got up, I
had a notebook, and I literally
started writing out things.
"God, I am mad at this.
I'm angry at this person from years ago."
I mean, I was really just confessing
things that I never would confess
to him 'cause I was afraid that
if I did, what would happen?
Mm-hmm.
I would-- I was so afraid I was gonna
be rejected or kicked out that I, I was
terrified that I would lose his love.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
And so I wrote it all out, and I remember
being at the very end of it, and I was
writing, "And God, I'm mad at you."
Mm-hmm.
"I'm angry.
I don't understand."
And I remember being
pretty smug about this.
I just took the notebook, I shut
it, and I kinda just shoved it.
And I told God, I said, like across
the area, and I was like, "Lord, now
what are you gonna do with that?"
I mean, and that was
my attitude towards it.
I thought, any minute now,
I'm anticipating- Being struck
down ⦠struck down, condemnation.
Yeah.
Like, here it comes.
Yeah.
Nothing happened.
Nothing.
And I thought, "Okay."
And I didn't know what to do with that.
So the next morning I get
up and I thought, "Okay."
I, I decided I'm gonnaâ¦
I felt like the Holy Spirit was
like, "You need-- I want you to just
absolutely pour your heart out to me."
And I just started writing more,
and this time, I mean, I was raw.
And I'm not talking fish.
I'm notâ¦
There was no fin-finesse in this.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
It was raw, real, how I felt, what
had happened in my life, things
that I'd went through, genuine,
honest truth of how- Mm-hmm
I'd been living.
And I was so expecting God to be mad.
Mm-hmm.
But in that moment, I
kinda pushed it away.
I-- at that moment, God literally
showed up in my living room,
wrapped Himself around me, and for
the first time in my entire life,
I actually felt the love of God.
Mm-hmm.
I never had experienced God's love before.
Never.
Mm-hmm.
I had been in church my whole life.
I had taught Sunday school.
I had taught children's church.
I had done all of the things
that God expects disciples to do.
Right.
Mm-hmm.
Everything.
But I did not know that Heâ¦
I didn't understand His love.
And so that day, that second day, I broke
down and I cried, and I cried because
it was the first time that I'd ever
understood that He loved me, and it didn't
matter that- Right, that He just loved you
He just loved- It didn't have
anything to do with anything else.
Right.
I never could wrap my head around that.
And there have been so many people
that I have ministered to or talked
to over the course of the years, and
they've asked me, man, like, thisâ¦
They've asked me moments like this,
and I'm like, I said, "It-- that
was the moment that I actually
understood love, the love of God."
Mm-hmm.
And from that point on, it was in
that moment, that was the most healing
moment of my entire- Mm-hmm ⦠life,
and from that point on, things changed.
Wow.
That's the truth.
I mean- Yeah.
That's amazing because, I mean, I
don't know what went on, and I don't
have to know, but, like, I wonder
how many other people feel like that.
Like, yes, you know God loves you
'cause that's what the Bible says,
but have you ever felt it, you know?
It's different to experience it-
Mm-hmm ⦠than to learn about it.
Right.
And I could talk and quote
scripture and- Yeah ⦠I mean,
I had, I was raised in this.
Yes.
Yeah.
And so you're not gonna tell me
something I didn't know, but I
didn't have the understanding of it.
And I don't, and I don't think it was a
lack that I had a relationship with Him.
I never felt like I didn't have
a relationship in that moment.
Well, I think that- The kind of love
that you're describing, the kind of
love that God wants to give all of us
requires a sacrifice of authenticity.
Like- Yeah, honest
you have to be hon- you have
to be willing to be honest.
You have to be willing to say,
"God, here, here I am in, you
know, like all of my warts, all of
my ugliness- Yeah ⦠everything,
and even the ugliness about you."
Yeah.
And it's not a secret.
He knows it anyway.
Yeah.
But you have to offer it up.
You can't, you can't say,
"God, I want all of you.
I want you to do all of this,
but you can't have all of me."
Yeah.
"I'm not willing to admit to
these things, even though I know
you know, I'm not gonna admit it.
I'm gonna hold this back."
Yeah.
And underst- like, and to fully
absorb what God's able to give you.
Like, you're not a- Yeah ⦠you're
not an empty vessel then.
Well- He can't pour all
of himself into you.
Yeah, and in that moment, if, if we
understood that God is genuinely safe.
Yes.
Mm-hmm.
And that was something that changed for
me, and that took me a process, because
growing up, it wasn't that I, I had an
inc- beautiful family life, but, uh,
it, it, we had a tough family life, too.
It was not from- Mm-hmm ⦠it
wasn't from any lack of love.
It was just, we had had a lotâ¦
Like I said, my mother
passed away when I was small.
Mm-hmm.
We were a blended family.
I mean- Mm-hmm ⦠there was just
so many things that happened in our
childhood, and it wasn't any one person
or thing, it just, life happened.
Mm-hmm, yeah.
And so in that time, you-- when
you're, when you grow up with
something like that, you learn
quick to just keep a wall put up.
Yeah.
I mean, I'm not- To guard.
To guard.
I mean- Mm-hmm ⦠you put
up, and it's not that you mean
to, you just, you just do.
Mm-hmm, yep.
And, and it wasn't that
they didn't love me.
They did.
I, I just couldn't understand that.
Yeah.
I think that that was some things that
healing comes with the understanding
that God's safe, and I think for me, that
was the pivotal moment, where I could
literally understand that I can tell God
the deepest, darkest, nastiest, awfullest,
ugliest things that ever happened, how
I felt, whatever, and he's not gonna
let-- he's not gonna leave me, and- Right
his shoulders are really big.
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
His grace is huge.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So what changed after that?
What did you notice?
Oh, my goodness.
Right after that, there was
so much healing in that.
There was, there were things that I
was carrying, that I had carried into
our marriage, and just things that I'd
carried into, from life growing up.
And like I said, it
wasn't anything that bad.
It's just life.
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
We, weâ¦
It's just things, and I,
I was really insecure.
I was, you know, I was so afraid.
I lived with the constant thought of, "I
need to do this or do that, or I'm not
gonna- Mm-hmm ⦠be loved or rejected,"
or I mean- Yeah ⦠it was just that fear
that I don't-- I mean, it just was there.
Mm-hmm.
And so I think for me, that was
a pivotal moment as well, because
I was letting go of some things
that I had been so bound by.
So freedom started coming, and I
started understanding, "Okay, I canâ¦
All right, I can, I can be bold."
I can operate in this.
I can do this thing.
Yeah.
And, uh, uh, the Lord can work
through me, and that was something
else that just blew my mind.
I just couldn't understand that God
could operate through somebody that
had had those feelings, that had
been so hurt- Mm-hmm ⦠and that
what-- I'm like, "It couldn't."
And then understanding that
he's still, he's like, "Okay,
you're the perfect candidate."
"Wonderful that you're here.
Let's, let's get back to work."
Yeah.
And that was-- That changed, because that
had been such a hindrance in my mind.
I couldn't get past that.
At that point, when it was gone-
That it's like for the first time,
I'm like, the world is wide open.
Yeah.
Spiritually wide open.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Have you ever, like, I mean, you
definitely operate in the gifts of
the Spirit and interpret and all that.
Yep.
I mean, I've never- I love them
⦠interpreted, given a message or whatever.
How do you know?
Like, how do you know it'sâ¦
Do you know, like, Charlotte Norberg once
told me she knows when she gets up in the
morning before she even gets to a service.
Do you know that early, or is it just
something that happens in a service?
It, it varies.
Sometimes, um, and
that's a great question.
I've been asked that too before.
There are times that the
Lord has been dealing with me
about something and I knew.
Like, I had been praying over or praying
into something before I ever got to
church, and it had- Mm-hmm ⦠and
the Lord was stirring my spirit
about something that was gonnaâ¦
Somebody there or somebody-
Mm-hmm ⦠that I don't know.
Like, somebody's there.
I know that they're gonna be there.
The Lord is leaning somebody for
me to start praying into somebody
that I don't even know who it is.
Mm-hmm.
Uh, and there are times that I, I would
Sometimes we would be in worship,
and then it, for me, there were times
that I could see like a movie screen.
Mm-hmm.
Like I could see reels of
stuff, and I would see pictures
of clips of this or that.
Mm-hmm.
And it's not necessarily because I
think God knows I'm a visionary learner.
Yeah.
I'm a- Mm-hmm ⦠visual learner.
Yeah.
He'll meet you where you are.
And, yeah, and He uses that
sense, and that is so important.
He uses what He knows how our learning
abilities are- Mm-hmm ⦠and things.
Mm-hmm.
So He's gonna talk to you that way.
That's- Yeah ⦠He knows that
if you're a visual, He's gonnaâ¦
He might show you more visions or dreams.
If He knows that you're auditory, He's
gonna allow you to hear music or song.
Mm-hmm.
I mean, there's gonna be ways that He's
gonna connect with you, 'cause that's
how He connects- Right ⦠to you.
You're His, you're His creation.
So there will be times, like I would
see clips of- Mm-hmm ⦠pictures or
a hand or something like that, and
I knew that that was a God thing.
And so I would, I'd ask Him,
you know, "Is this something?"
And then the, if the Lord prompted
me, you'd know, I would know.
I would know there was-
Mm-hmm ⦠a clip or something.
I'm like, "God- Yeah ⦠this
is, I need you to say something."
But even in doing those things,
many times, and if, if youâ¦
When I was there, I would still
go to the pastor and- Mm-hmm
say, "Hey, I feel like I've
gotten a word from somebody."
And the reason I did that
was, one, checks and balances.
Mm-hmm.
I just always want to have that- Right.
Yeah ⦠to, to have that,
um- So that there's order.
Yeah.
I mean, and that is, um, uh, and
two, h- I have such reverence
and respect over our pastors.
They're our spiritual head.
Mm-hmm.
And I, I, I want to be used in the Spirit,
but I want them to know that- That you
aren't placing yourself above them.
Yes.
That you're still submitting
to their authority.
Yeah, and that's honorable to the Lord.
That's in you.
Yeah.
So- Yeah ⦠that, and that's how it is.
There will be times, like I said,
I can see clips and visions.
Sometimes I'll hear just a word.
Mm-hmm.
Sometimes it's a feeling.
Yeah.
So I don't know.
So what, the first time you did that,
were you- Terrified ⦠terrified?
Yes, and, and still do.
Still.
Really?
Yeah.
'Cause he- Really ⦠doesn't
come across like that.
I mean, I know you're- It
doesn't . I feel like God talks
to me and you very similarly.
Mm-hmm.
And I feel like the, the way that
your inflections are spoken when
you're giving a word, it just feels
like this is how God talks to me.
Yeah.
It's, it's just very bold and uninhibited,
and it's clear, like this is what it is.
There's not gonna be any argument.
Yeah.
There's not gonna be any,
you know, wiggle room here.
Like, I'm being serious about it,
and sometimes it's admonishing,
and that's, that's unfortunate.
And it, you wanna have the
argument, but God's like, "No.
This, this is what it is."
It's a lot encouraging, though.
Right.
But- Yeah ⦠when it's encouraging, itâ¦
Having that part where
it's like, "This is it.
I, I've said it.
It's done."
Mm-hmm.
It is.
And it's encouragement.
You're, you can just stand on it.
You don't have to wonder,
is he gonna take that away?
And when you give it so
boldly, I'm like, "Yes.
Yes, thank you."
Aw, that's- You know?
It's Him.
It'sâ¦
Yeah.
It's definitely Him, and I, I can
tell you that's how He talks to me.
Mm-hmm.
And I'm thankful for that because- Me
too ⦠I am a, a black and whiteâ¦
Uh, if you, if you have any gray in there
at all, I'm going to overthink it or-
Mm-hmm ⦠I'm going to pick it apart.
So- Yeah ⦠'cause, um, my brain
just doesn't, it doesn't stop.
So what I appreciate about Him
is that for me, He's just, like
I said, He's very matter of fact.
Mm-hmm.
Yes.
And that is because He loves
me enough to know, He's like,
"This simple girl needs-" Yeah.
"⦠let's keep it simple stupid for her."
You know?
He really gets that I'm simple stupid.
In some way.
So what do you think, um, if you were
going to encourage the church as a
whole- To do right now in this, these,
I feel like in end of the end times.
What do you think?
What would be your word for them?
I think the biggestâ¦
I know that the word love is thrown
out a lot- Mm-hmm ⦠I mean, to love,
and I, I grasped that a minute ago.
I was speaking about it, but-
This is, this is my honest truth opinion.
We could have the most phenomenalâ¦
Like, I have been to church
services that are obviously y'all
know what my background are.
Oh, yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
But if our heart is only, like I'veâ¦
How do I word this?
God, give me the words.
Our heart must be about
seeking the Father's face.
Yeah.
It, it must be.
And doing the work of His business.
I mean, getting along and getting it done.
Mm-hmm.
But if we only go to church to sing a
bunch of praise and worship songs, and
if our only option or goal is to go to
church, hear a great worship set, listen
to some stuff, and head home, then we've,
we, we've missed the whole point of this.
Yeah.
And I think that for me, uh, one
thing that the Lord has just put so
deeply into my spirit, that there
are no shortcuts to a move of God.
Mm-hmm.
There's none.
Yeah.
The only avenue for a move of Godâ¦
When people-- I've heard people
preach the, the wonderful, you
know, "We're gonna have revival.
We're gonna do this- Mm-hmm.
we're gonna do that."
And I've heard people try to sing
it, preach it, do it all kinds of
ways, but the only avenue for a
true move of God is on our face
before the Go- before the Lord.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
You can have the most phenomenal
whatever, but if the people are not
seeking His face and humbling themselves
before His face, and hearing, putting
their mind to set to, what do you need
from me, Lord, then we're only going
about doing busy work, and we're not
seeking what He needs us to get done.
Yeah.
So if- That's convicting.
Mm-hmm.
If that's, that's where it's at.
Yeah.
And at this point in where we're at,
the Lord said at the end that His
laborers, the, the, the harvest is
plenty, but the laborers are few.
My heart and my thought is this,
"Dear God, have we raised up
people that know how to harvest?
Or do we know how to pinch people
that know how to do church?"
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Because if that's all we've
got, then we've got nothing.
Yeah.
Frightening thought.
It's scary.
It is a frightening thought.
So my, myâ¦
That what drives my mind is that, God-
Our heart as a church needs to teach
him how to teach people how to seek him.
Mm-hmm.
Not how I thought I had to seek him by
doing all these things prior- Mm-hmm.
Right ⦠like I said earlier,
but literally out of the love
of God, seek him, desire him.
What is your longing, God?
What is your passion?
What, what are you craving?
What is your, what is
your heart's beat, God?
Mm-hmm.
And if that, if we seek that, and God
knows the difference between somebody
that's saying it lip service- Mm-hmm
versus somebody that's seeking him,
in that moment, he's gonna give
them the discernment and the wisdom.
He's gonna go, "That's somebody
that will walk by faith with me."
They might not get it
right, they might not.
We might veer here or veer there-
Yeah ⦠but he's gonna put bumpers
on our path like bowling- Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm ⦠bowling pin bumpers-
Yeah ⦠to keep us going.
But when he has a church that's
hungry for that, that's a church he's
gonna go back and say, "Okay, listen,
these people are crying out for me,
and they're crying out for souls.
Okay, I need you to go back,
angel, and go find that prayer
vial that somebody prayed about."
so many years ago.
Mm-hmm.
That is a church that I'm
willing to open that vial for.
Wow.
I'll crack it for that one.
Yeah.
And he'll pour it out, but he's not
gonna waste the prayers of the saints,
and he's not gonna waste an anointing
on a people that doesn't really care.
Yeah.
So that's- Yeah ⦠my heart.
That's good.
That's really- It is ⦠good and
very, like she said, convicting and
yeah, we just need ⦠I mean, I'm,
uh, the past, you know, five, six
years it's, it's been all about prayer.
Mm.
Yeah.
Mm.
And, you know, some of those
times are hard, you know?
Yes.
Like, do I have to fast again?
Right.
God, like I, I've already
done this, like- Yeah
so many times that it's just- No ⦠it
was, you know, preparing for something.
It's preparing us for something
and, like, it's not fun all
the time- No ⦠to do that.
I think that y- like you have said
over and over, like you've, um, likened
your, your walk over the past couple
of years to surgery, like surgery- Yes
over and over, and, like, being-
Yes ⦠willing to, like you've
said on the podcast even, like,
"God, why's it gotta be me?"
Like, "I didn't do anything."
Like, "I'm not the one doing this."
I've said that.
"Why does it have to be me?"
Yeah.
But I think- And the brother,
prodigal son's brother.
Yeah, exactly.
"I stayed here and worked," you know?
Yeah.
Like- Yeah, exactly.
I've done that ⦠like,
what, what are we doing?
But I think that it, it showcases, like,
what you were saying, he's not gonna waste
the vials, but us being willing to, for
lack of a better metaphor, go back under
the knife- Yeah ⦠over and over again
and line up our hearts to what he wants
for us, like allowing him the authority
to say, like, "Yeah, go in there.
Dig out all of the stuff that
isn't what you want to have in
there," and trust him to work on
what he's working on in the order.
Mm.
You know what I mean?
Like, I think that's a lot of ⦠We've
talked about that, too, like-
People can get in their feelings
about being convicted themselves-
Mm-hmm ⦠and putting that
conviction on someone else- Mm-hmm
and expecting their walk and the timing of
someone else's walk to mirror their own.
Yeah.
And that's just not how God does things.
In my experience, he's,
it's very individualistic.
Well, you know, when you- He's
gonna handle your stuff- He's a
parent ⦠and he's gonna handle mine.
You don't parent your kids the same way.
Correct.
You have three kids, you know-
Oh, right ⦠what works for
one doesn't work for the other.
Right.
But- And you trust that, like, he will
handle sin, but he knows better than me
what the heart of that individual is,
so I, I don't get to decide whether-
Yeah ⦠that's a thing or not.
And he'll handleâ¦
Also, I love what you just said there,
because handling sin, we look at
that and, and, uh, and, and for me,
a lot of it wasn't like you were, we
were talking earlier when you first
heard the testimony about the love.
It wasn't so much it was sin, but it,
I'm not gonna say it was, because if
you heard my feelings of how, what I
wrote out, y'all would be like, "Ah."
You know?
That, by the way, that was burnt.
Oh, yeah.
Uh, that was, that's
trivia and the good Lord.
Mm-hmm.
Um, but for me, a lot of it was the,
the hang-ups or the, the, the- Mm-hmm
the stuff.
It wasn't the f- the sin-
Yeah ⦠but it was weights and sins.
Right.
So it was the- What, there's a
verse that talks about- Yeah,
absolutely ⦠the weights and sin.
In Hebrews, yeah.
Yeah.
You know, lay aside every weight and sin
that so easily- Mm-hmm ⦠besets us.
Yep.
And, uh, uh, for, that was a, that
was a learning curve for me because
I, in my mind, everything was a sin.
Mm-hmm.
You know, like- Yeah ⦠you
know, everything was a sin.
Yeah.
Um, and in the reality, it's not.
Mm-hmm.
It is not.
Yeah.
It's just not.
But at the, the same time, the
weights that go along with it,
and, uh, so endearing about that
time, around that time, the Lord
was trying to teach me this.
Y'all, he knows I'm a knucklehead,
and he knows that I am mine.
Same.
He's like, he's like, "She
really is a little extra."
You know?
"She's our special saint."
That's
Yeah, I'm on the special saint side of it.
Oh my goodness.
You know, I remember, and I'm not,
you know, there's like Peter, and
then you've got Martha and Mary, and
then I'm over here- Mm-hmm ⦠with
the special saint side, you know?
We'll be with you.
Yeah.
We'll be right there with you.
We'll, pa-pow.
You know?
We'll all be in the housing
complex together in heaven.
I would definitely share
my mansion with you, Shay.
It would be a hoot, y'all.
Yeah.
We're gonna have fun.
Yeah.
Um, but for me, during that time
of learning that those are, those
weights, what that, identifying
what that was and, a-and- Mm-hmm
understanding that a weight isn't a sin.
Right.
They're two separate things.
Right.
Yeah.
And, and I think that helps
build, uh, understanding-
But even in those, like the insecurities,
the fears, the things, the, the thoughts-
Mm-hmm ⦠of inadequacy- Mm-hmm ⦠the
things that you battle in your mind.
Right.
Uh, whether it's being a mom
or whether it's- Yeah ⦠being
a wife or in ministry.
We always think in ministry,
but I mean, we'reâ¦
I'm talking- Just life
everyday life.
Yeah.
Yes, yes.
Working on a job.
Uh- Yeah ⦠anything that you do, you
think about the things you could've-
Mm-hmm ⦠you shoulda, coulda
done better, or I think about it.
Yeah.
And the Lord's reminded me, he's like,
"All right, sis, that's really not nearâ¦
I mean- Yeah ⦠g- good job for you.
I'm glad you really put some effort
into that, but I need you to move on."
Mm-hmm.
"I need you to let it go."
Becauseâ¦
And that's how he talks to me.
That's how he talks to me too.
That's why I'm cracking up.
He's like, "Just put it down."
Okay.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Good, good talk.
And then he's just like
moseying on down the road.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, he doesn't, he
doesn't mix words with me.
No.
No, me neither.
Me either.
So talk a little bit, 'cause some people
that are listening may not know about
the vials, and I find, I always find it
fascinating to talk about, you know, the
vials that are poured out, the prayers.
So they may not know what, what that is.
Sure.
So, uh, actually it was Dean Caldwell.
Have you heard of Dean Caldwell?
I have not heard of him.
Oh my gosh.
So do you think we can
maybe get him on the pod?
I wish he would come.
I don't know.
I mean, uh, Dean- Listen ⦠when
you're listening to this- Goals ⦠Dean
Caldwell, uh, Dean Caldwell,
you need to come to the podcast.
Yes.
I mean, you got your own,
but you need to visit- Right.
Just take a break from yours.
Whatever.
Come hang out with us
and we'll have a laugh.
Whatever.
Okay.
Um, so Dean was at RFA, gosh,
20 years ago, um- I don't know.
We've been go- we had went
there for over 20 years.
Mm-hmm.
So, I mean, we'd been there forever.
Uh, so he had been there, and I
remember hearing him talk about that.
It was found in Revelations
chapter 8- Mm-hmm
and Revelations chapter 5.
But Revelations chapter 8, he's
talking about the prayer vials of
the saints that- Mm-hmm ⦠are held
up, or they're, they're in holding.
Yes.
And anyway, um, can I read it?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
So, 'cause I think this is
cool because it's so powerful.
I mean, let me- What version do you like?
Oh, gosh.
Okay, here's the reality to this.
I have read, and I'm not saying
this in any kudos or credence.
Mm-hmm.
I have read, I don't know how many
versions of the Bible- Mm-hmm,
mm-hmm ⦠through Stem and Stern.
Uh, and- I love that, Stem
and Stern ⦠b- well, yeah.
Yeah.
Becauseâ¦
And honestly, uh, right now I'm doing
New King James Version, and that'sâ¦
I love it.
Um, when I study, I, I, well,
I go back to the Hebrew.
I love to study- Mm-hmm ⦠the,
the Strong's Concordance.
Yes.
Yeah, yeah.
I wanna get into the
meat and taters of it.
Yeah.
Uh, and I'm gonna go back into that.
So I might read NIV.
I've read Holman- Mm-hmm ⦠and I've
read, I've read I don't know how many
different translations over the years.
Mm-hmm.
And I do it on purpose because
the scripture, if I read a certain
translation over and over and
over again, it's just turned into,
um, I just read it and I know it.
So it's- Recitation instead ofâ¦
Yeah.
So if I- Right ⦠I will read
a different translation just
for the- Not resuscitation.
Resuscitation?
Recitation.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
Exactly.
Okay.
He's, she's over here doing CPR on me.
Oh.
This podcast has already went downhill.
We're already- This is a great one.
We are already at resuscitation.
We've only been talking- You're
so funny ⦠for 20 minutes, and
Jill is like, "Jesus, take me home.
It's the big one, Ethel."
No.
This is the one.
Get in.
Like- Oh.
Yeah.
This is, this is why I'm
not allowed in heaven yet.
I mean, can you imagine?
We're not ready for her.
No, I really ⦠Okay, time out.
I know we're supposed to be
talking about our scripture,
but it's like- No, it's okay.
Go ahead ⦠like seriously, I truly
believe, like, God's not ready for this.
Like, I mean, like I really believe that.
The comedy club isn't built yet.
Yeah, I know, right?
Like, I'm like- He's working on it.
He's working on it.
Like, I can't ⦠I really meant that I am
on the special saint side of the heaven.
Oh, my goodness.
That I'm gonna be over there.
I've, I've always envisioned
myself, God going, "Oh, Jesus."
I can't imagine my home family
coming and my dad be like, "Oh, hey."
"She's here."
Yeah.
They're gonna be happy to see you.
They will be.
They'll be worn out.
Bring a new- Yeah ⦠a new life to it.
Okay.
Just gonna bring new life into heaven.
Okay.
This is my entire- A breath of fresh air.
This is my entire life, so.
Yeah.
So Revelations chapter eight, uh, I'm
gonna read it in New King James Version
just because that's what I'm currently in.
And, uh, and it says, "When he opened
the seventh seal, there was silence
in heaven for about a half an hour.
And when I saw the seven angels who
stand before God and who were given seven
trumpets, then another angel having a
golden censer came and stood at the altar.
He was given much incense that he
should offer it with the prayers
of all the saints upon the golden
altar, which was before the throne.
And the smoke of the incense and
the prayers of the saints ascended
to God from the angel's hands.
Then the angel took the censer, filled it
with fire from the altar, threw it to the
earth, and there were noises, thunderings,
lightnings, and an earthquake."
Mm-hmm.
It's one of my favorites.
It absolutely is one of mine.
Mm-hmm.
And for me, Dean Caldwell preached on this
years ago, and he was talking about the
prayers of the saints being stored up.
And basically what it's saying, all
these prayers that have been ever prayed.
So picture this, if you can
fit this into perspective.
The first prayers prayed
were found in Genesis.
So think about thousands-
Mm-hmm ⦠of years of prayers.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Okay?
Thousands of years of prayers.
And, uh, and if you think about it,
those prayers have been stored up
because in the Book of Genesis, the Lord
or God said, "I'm sending a savior."
Well, we're still reaping what that was.
Right.
Right.
That that moment happened.
That was a prayer.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Anyway, you look at a prophecy
as prayer in some aspects.
Okay, so imagine that, and so you have all
these prayers, and this is how I see it.
And then over the course of
time, everybody started adding
their own prayer into this.
So imagine the prayer vials
in heaven are the saints.
And weâ¦
It's not just, um, in my mind,
this is how I look at it.
It's not just like mine and your prayers
he's hanging onto those prayers vials.
So when he goes to crack open a
prayer vial, think about it that what
that sounds like, 'cause prayer can
be moaning, it can be laughter- Mm.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm ⦠it can be dancing.
Yeah.
It can be shouting.
It can be crying.
Singing.
Singing.
Okay, so this i- imagine the
immense sound in the spirit realm-
Mm-hmm ⦠when the Lord says, "I want
you to go crack open a prayer vial.
I want you to bring me
one of the prayer vials."
So imagine the sound in the spirit
realm that that takes place- Mm-hmm
that comes, and it, it, when that opens
up, because it's the sound of prayer.
And so, and it has a smell-
Mm-hmm ⦠because it's an incense.
So if that's the sound of it,
so he opens up a prayer vial.
So for thousands of years of praying-
Not to mention that the word says that
Holy Spirit makes constant intercession.
Yes.
Mm-hmm.
And that Jesus is constantly-
Yeah ⦠praying for us at all times.
So it's the accumulation of thousands
of prayers between the Father, the
Son, the Holy Spirit, his people-
Mm-hmm ⦠the angels worshiping.
All that's being cracked
open when he sounds.
So imagine that sound.
It would be deafening.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like thunder.
It would beâ¦
It c- yes.
So when it says here that he takes
that and he throws that down to
Earth, the prayers of the saints,
it's noises and thunderings and
lightnings and an earthquake.
Well, yeah.
Mm-hmm.
It's going to impact the physical
realm, what we see- Yes ⦠in the
spiritual realm, and it's powerful.
It's powerful, these prayers.
Yeah.
One of the versions I read
said, "Hurled," and I was like-
Yeah ⦠you don't just toss.
When you're hurling
something, it's not a toss.
It's, it's with intention.
It's on purpose.
Yes.
It's with purpose, yeah.
So imagine, I mean, that's how I see it.
So when he preached on that,
I thought, God, theseâ¦
That's why those prayer vials aren't
going to be poured out for any just reason
or on any just church- Mm-hmm ⦠if
they are apathetic- Yeah ⦠or they
don't have- Right ⦠the heart for it.
The only things that we really can
take to heaven, we can't take our
body, we can't take our family,
we can't take any possession.
So the only actual thing from our side
of heaven on this is prayer- Mm-hmm.
Yeah ⦠that's being stored in heaven.
Nothing else goes- Mm-hmm ⦠except
people that we can bring into
the kingdom for what we do.
Through prayer.
Right.
Mm-hmm.
But that, so if our prayer is that
precious to him that the only thing
that he allows in heaven from our side,
on this side of glory, is our prayer,
then that's something very precious.
That's why it's so pivotal
to change everything.
That's why it's so important to pray.
It's, that's why it's soâ¦
It's the only thing in heaven
that is actually held of value,
and it's put into a prayer vial.
Yeah, and it says pray without ceasing.
Yes.
The Bible says that.
That's really good.
So, and I think that
discourages some people.
I can't pray without ceasing.
Yes, you can.
If you are in tune- Yeah ⦠with
God's heart, you're praying
constantly with your spirit, you know?
Yeah.
Like- Yeah ⦠how many thoughts
do you have a day that you realize,
"I'm talking to God," you know?
All day long.
All day.
Yep.
All day long, and I wasâ¦
Uh, one of the things we were talking
about when, uh, we're, you know, we're,
we're in Ola right now, and love it.
Mm-hmm.
This little Wonderful putting a plug in.
Wonderful little beautiful
churches and all that.
The one thing that, that I was like,
you know, if you understand that prayer
is just a constant communion with him.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
So it's, it doesn't necessarily
have to be the, um, you know,
interceding or talking- Right
to God about the different things.
I talk to God about all kinds of things.
Mm-hmm.
Like if I've lost my pen at work,
I'm like- Listen, it's like-
⦠seriously ⦠the inner monologue.
Yeah.
Yes.
Like if you have an inner
monologue, you're talking to God.
Mm-hmm.
Done.
Me and God, and I, I asked him about
that one time, and I've been and I,
they said prayer without ceasing, and
I'm like, "I talk to him all the time."
And then I thought at one point,
I'm like, "I talk to him so much, he
probably wishes I would just stop."
He doesn't.
And then I thought-
Nah ⦠but it's not my fault.
He made me a woman.
Mm-hmm.
And you made me a woman.
You made me a woman, and you, then
you said pray without ceasing.
And I'm like, "Okay."
So here we go.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So are these bananas the ones to get?
'Cause I don't know, they look
a little underripe, you know?
Okay, so I'm actually just like you.
I, I will literally be like, "Okay,
Lord, literally, there are socks in
this house that I have purchased."
"And I need you to help me."
Yeah.
You know, where is this at?
You know what?
I need to tap in.
I, I don't know why I haven't
done this, but like when my mom
does crazy stuff, 'cause she has
dementia- Yeah ⦠you know, when I'm
like Where would the dementia put-
This ⦠the, you know, whatever.
Like- He will tell you.
Mm-hmm.
He'll tell you.
Yeah.
Like, I'm gonna have to tap in.
That's so good.
And like, "You saw her do it."
I literally have done that.
I have actually told
God that more than once.
I'm like, "Lord, you've
watched me put- You saw.
Yes ⦠this, whatever I've lost, down.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You are all-seeing and all-knowing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And you're all-present.
Yeah.
So if that's the case, then you
know where- Where is it ⦠my
wallet is and my drive- Yeah.
So I'm asking you, Lord.
Yeah.
Yep.
And I, I know, I, I mean, like, He's up
there saving the entire world, and I'm
asking him where- Where my wallet is.
Yeah ⦠He, He's the one that
said, "Pray without ceasing."
Yep.
As well.
He wants all of it, I think.
He does want all of it, I think.
Yeah, that's good.
That's real- I'm so glad that you
touched on that because I don't, you
know, n- not a lot of people, I think,
realize about the prayer vials, and
we've talked, we've referenced it- Yeah
but we've not really gone
into it, but that was good.
Before we run out of time, I want
to s- hear about, like, if you could
go back and- Oh, yeah ⦠be in a
moment in real time in the Bible.
Okay.
So I'm gonna talk about
my very favorite person.
Okay.
Yes.
Okay.
So, uh, heâ¦
It's this m- It's a man.
It's a guy.
He is my absolute favorite
person in the Bible.
Like, I lo- I love, I love,
you know, here's God, here's
Jesus, and like Holy Spirit.
And then there's this guy, and, uh- Mm-hmm
⦠he doesn't even- So he's number four.
Yeah.
He doesn't even have a name.
Uh- Oh ⦠he's not a name.
Uh, he i- it's the thief on the cross.
Mm.
Oh, yeah.
He is my absolute all-time, hands
down hero of the entire Bible.
Wow.
Forever.
I mean- Mm-hmm.
And- All right.
Let's hear it ⦠okay, so seriously,
he is my favorite person, and,
uh, uh- Like everybody's gonna
run to Peter and he's gonna have a
line, and I'm like- ⦠you know.
And you're gonna run straight to this guy.
I'm running straight to the thief.
And the reason why is, I mean, so
look at this in the historical moment.
Look at this when, when
we read the Bible, heâ¦
Just understanding the moment.
Mm-hmm.
Okay?
So in the moment, understand
that at that time, we know that
Jesus was hanging on this cross.
Mm-hmm.
So physically put yourself in
that mindset right there- Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm ⦠in your mind.
All right, he's hanging on a cross.
He has literally taken on all
of our sin, everything about us.
In that moment, the Bible says that
the Lord could not look upon sin.
He's not allowed-
Mm-hmm ⦠to look upon sin.
Yeah.
So we understand that, that Jesus
says, "My God, my God, whereâ¦"
You know, "My Father,
my Father, where areâ¦"
You know, "Where'd you go?"
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because in that moment, the Lord
God could not took- look on sin.
All right.
But he's still his daddy.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
How many times have we prayed, "God,
I ask you to send somebody to my child
that when I can't minister to them- Oh.
Mm-hmm.
Ooh ⦠you can"?
Yeah.
God, how many times have I asked you to
send somebody- Right ⦠to a loved one?
Lord, they're in a dark place.
Mm-hmm.
But I'm not the one to reach them.
Yeah.
So I'm asking you to please
send somebody that could.
What qualified this man to be able
to stand beside Christ or hang beside
Christ in this one moment was his sin.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Uh, that was his qualifying factor.
Mm-hmm.
So imagine this entire scene, because
if you look at it, I asked, I asked Holy
Spirit, I said, "What changed this man?
What was the moment
that changed this man?"
Because at the beginning, if
you read through the gospels and
you read the account- Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm ⦠in all the gospels,
read it, you will see where he
jeckled and he mocked Jesus hanging
on the cross at the beginning.
Mm-hmm.
You know, I mean, it says clearly
that they tormented Jesus, you know?
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
You know, you'reâ¦
That's what it said.
But at some point, there was a change
in this man because when, when at
one point, the one thief on the cross
was like, "Listen, stop saying that.
Stop teasing.
Stop mocking this man.
He's done nothing.
Why are youâ¦"
The other thief-
Right ⦠was mocking him.
"Why are you keep saying this?
Stop it."
And so I was like, "God, what
was the moment that changed him?"
And so if you read up, I believe
it's in the Book of Luke, I think.
There, it's in recorded, it's- Mm-hmm.
The right before that, the Bible
records a conversation that the Lord
Jesus has in that moment, and he ask,
he's asking the Father- To, to forgive
the people that did everything to him.
He's asking, "Lord- Mm.
"⦠don't hold this against them."
Mm.
"They don't know what they're doing."
Yeah.
Remember that moment?
Mm-hmm.
Yes.
Okay.
These men would have been more
than likely the same men that
tortured the thief as well.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They would've probably
been the same soldiers.
Right.
This, they were, they were
professional- Oh, yeah
soldiers.
So in that moment, this man that's hanging
on the cross besides Jesus is the one
that is hearing Jesus pray for the man
that just tortured him and tortured Jesus.
Yeah.
He's hearing that coming across,
and he's hearing this man asking
the Father to please forgive them
for doing that- Yeah ⦠to him.
Mm-hmm.
It was the moment that he
realized that he was different.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
That was the moment that he
understood that the man that was
beside him was not an average man.
He was not- Yeah ⦠a criminal.
Wow.
So in that moment, thatâ¦
So for that man, that thief at that moment
recognized if he could forgive this,
the ones that tortured him, beat him,
and pulled out his beard, and that did
things like that, that he could love me.
Mm-hmm.
He had that God moment that I told
you I desperately- Mm-hmm ⦠needed.
Yeah.
That was the moment he understood love.
Mm-hmm.
And I truly believe that
that man would notâ¦
He-- think about, our steps
are ordered of the Lord, right?
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
That meant that the Lord ordered
this thief's steps as well.
Mm-hmm.
He put him in position to be beside
Christ at the time- Yeah ⦠when he
needed somebody to minister to His
Son because He couldn't look on him.
He sent this man.
Wow.
Wow.
He needed a friend.
When, so when Jesus needed somebody to
die with Him, he is the only man ever
recorded to die on a cross at the same
time with Jesus that was His friend.
Wow.
The disciples weren't.
That's so good.
Man.
The disciples were not hanging with Him.
Yeah, thatâ¦
Yeah.
His mother, his sister, I
mean, his family was not there.
Yeah.
Nobody was there for Him.
The only option that the Lord God had was
to send another thief, that his sin was
what qualified him to hang by His Son- Wow
to be the person, to be the one
that could be there for Him,
because He couldn't look on sin.
So He sent this thief.
So in that moment, that man was Jesus'
only friend, really friend in that moment
that He could have- Mm-hmm ⦠that
was hanging with Him in that moment.
So when he asked Jesus, "Father,"
you know, "Hey, when you get to
paradise, please remember me."
And he says, "Today," you know-
You're gonna be- "⦠you're
going to be with me in paradise."
Mm-hmm.
That moment for him was
the moment that Jesusâ¦
He would've heard Jesus's breathing-
Yeah ⦠his labored breathing.
Mm-hmm.
He would've heard Jesus.
He would've watched Jesus slowly die.
Uh, he lived longer than Jesus did because
the Lord knew he needed a friend- Wow.
Wow ⦠to be his buddy.
And so- That's so good.
You better preach that if you haven't.
I'm saying.
Yeah, so he's my best fri-
He i- he was Jesus's closest
friend- Mm-hmm ⦠for him.
And I think that for the Lord, when
he, you know, I think that for the
Lord, I, I've prayed for people,
like, "Send a, send an angel,
send somebody to minister to- Yeah
my family, to s- to a loved one."
Okay, it takes what our perspective with
what that's gonna look like right off.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
God will use who he decides
to use, because he sent a man
to be with- Right ⦠his Son.
Right.
And I want you to know something about
that, too, that I'm very clear about.
He will not be named thief in heaven- No.
No ⦠because we will
not be known by our sins.
Right.
So we will not be known
by our sin in heaven.
So if that's the case, this man's
got a name, and I, and I think,
and this is me, it's not recorded.
You will not find it in any-
Mm-hmm ⦠version or in Strong's.
Um, I think for me, I think that
Jesus, we know that he passed
away, he died, he gave up- Mm-hmm
his life, and I know that the
thief passed away right afterwards.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Just telling us.
Okay, so at that moment,
just imagine this in heaven.
Okay, here's Jesus coming in.
Okay, imagine God's reverence
and respect for that man that was
willing to die beside his Son.
My goodness, yeah.
And so imagine what God's, how he felt.
Thank you.
I mean, as a person that's ministered
to somebody I've loved, that I've
reached out to, I could haveâ¦
I could not have loved that person.
They were my hero.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
So that man was God the Father's hero-
Mm-hmm ⦠to minister to his Son.
I mean, he- Wow ⦠is the coolest.
I mean, I know everybody's
got their opinions- Yeah
but he is genuinely- I mean, you
made a believer- ⦠the coolest
man ⦠out of me with this dude.
Yeah.
I'ma, I'ma come with you.
Same.
Like, sorry, Pete.
I'm gonna be right there.
We're done.
So I think you'll just know instantly
what his name is, like, 'cause I
feel like we're all gonna be known.
And he will be the most humbled- Mm
I truly believe.
He will beâ¦
He, he isn't even known by a name.
Yeah.
What?
Amazing.
But he will, his name will
be known- Yeah ⦠in heaven.
That's good.
Man.
Shannon.
Shannon, this w- I mean, if,
if nobody got anything else
out of this- Yeah ⦠this pod.
That's awesome.
That's it.
Yeah.
Like, that, that'll preach hard.
That's good.
You better preach that.
Mm-hmm.
You know, that, think about
it, that qualifies each of
us- Yeah ⦠to be a minister.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
That's so good.
I just want this to go on and on and on.
I know.
That's good.
Thank you for coming
today and sharing that.
Ah.
This was very powerful.
He's my f- He's gonna be my friend.
So here's
Okay, now here's where the freaky
thing side where I'm the spe- remember
I'm the, I'm the special saint.
You're the special saint.
There you go.
I'm gonna have a T-shirt.
I'm gonna make it to heaven, and I'm
gonna be like, "I'm the number one fan."
I'm gonna have that T-shirt.
Like a little groupie.
I'm gonna be your little
groupie in heaven.
And I'm gonna follow
you around like, "Hey."
I can't wait for that moment.
Well, thank you for coming on, and I think
our next people are here, but- Thank you.
Um- Oh, yeah, they are ⦠you're
gonna have to come back.
Yeah.
And go see Shannon.
If you don't have a chur- church, go
see Shannon and Ola at- Oh, please.
Ola Mercy Or if you just wanna
be blessed and visit- Yeah
do that too.
They are the most amazing people,
so I would love to have you.
Yeah.
Please come see me.
Yeah.
Yay.
Love you.
All right, until next time.
Love you.
Love you.
Love you beautiful people.
Love you too.
Bye.
Bye.
So good.
Oh my gosh, it was amazing.
