Malcolm Hill: [00:00:00] Did you know, my friend, that water baptism is necessary for salvation? But you say, "Who said so?" And that is a very good question. Who did say so? The Lord said that water baptism is and has been necessary for salvation since the New Covenant came into existence.
Mark 16:16, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved." In Acts 22 and verse 16, the writer says, "And now, why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord." Now the water does not wash away our sins. That's not what that passage teaches. The blood of Christ washes away our sins, but it does it in the act of water baptism.
But someone says, "Why? Why would the Lord demand that?" Well, the Lord's ways are not my ways nor your ways sometimes. I don't [00:01:00] know, the Lord commanded it, so let's submit to it and be saved. I'm Malcolm Hill.
