The Space Between - Heaven on Earth

In this deeply personal solo episode of The Space Between – Heaven on Earth, Jeffrey Aylor explores the journey of reclaiming the sacred self, the quiet process of letting go of who we’ve learned to be and remembering who we truly are.

Through honest reflection and lived experience, Jeffrey shares how layers of expectation, conditioning, and self-protection can gradually distance us from our authentic nature. He invites listeners to recognize the subtle tension between what feels aligned and what feels expected and to begin gently releasing what no longer serves.

This episode features the original song “Lay It All Down” from the Unity album, creating a powerful space for reflection, release, and renewal.
A grounded and heartfelt invitation to slow down, listen within, and rediscover the truth that beneath it all that you are already whole.

What is The Space Between - Heaven on Earth?

The Space Between – Heaven on Earth is a companion podcast to Awakening – Heaven on Earth.

Through intimate, heart-centered conversations, this series explores the lived experience of awakening — the questions, integrations, paradoxes, and sacred pauses where transformation truly occurs.

This is the space between knowing and becoming…
where Heaven meets Earth through honest dialogue.

Jeffrey Aylor:

Welcome to the space between heaven on earth. This is a companion podcast to awakening heaven on earth created as a space for reflection, conversation, and lived experience. Here, we enter the pause between knowing and becoming, between insight and embodiment, between heaven and earth. These conversations are not about answers or conclusions. They are about presence, about listening, about reasoning together, about meeting one another honestly in the unfolding journey of awakening.

Jeffrey Aylor:

I'm your host, Jeffrey Aylor. Again, welcome and thank you for entering The Space Between with us. Hello, and welcome to this episode of the space between. This episode is called Reclaiming the Sacred Self, The Power of Inner Harmony. I want to begin this episode a little differently, not by explaining anything, but by inviting you to notice something.

Jeffrey Aylor:

Just for a moment, pause. Take a breath and ask yourself quietly, when do I feel most like myself? Not the version of you that performs, not the version that manages everything, Not the version that other people expect, but the version of you that feels real. I don't think we ask ourselves that question very often, because most of us have learned how to live in a different way. So from a very early age, I think we begin to learn who we need to be based on how other people want us to be, in many cases how the world wants us to be, we learn who we need to be in order to get approval, who we need to be in order to get rewarded, who we need to be in order to keep things smooth in our life.

Jeffrey Aylor:

Maybe it's being responsible. Maybe it's being strong. Maybe it's being agreeable, maybe even being successful based on how others define success, the world define success, and then ultimately we define success. And none of this is wrong because it's how we learn to move and live through the world, But slowly, without even realizing it, we begin to build a version of ourselves that fits. I often like to ask, you know, are we doing what's easy?

Jeffrey Aylor:

Or are we doing what's right? Sometimes I think we choose to create ourselves in a way that makes life feel easy. So over time, you know, this version of ourselves becomes very familiar. We even stop questioning who we are, why we are, where we are, until something starts to feel off. When we start to feel bad, if we will look honestly, most of us can trace this back to specific moments.

Jeffrey Aylor:

There are moments where something in us was open, and it didn't go well. Maybe you spoke honestly and it was dismissed by people. Maybe maybe you showed emotion and it wasn't received well. Maybe you expressed something that was real, and it created discomfort. So you adjusted not consciously, but naturally.

Jeffrey Aylor:

And it's from experiences like this that I think that we learn. We learn that maybe I shouldn't say that. Maybe I shouldn't feel that, or maybe I shouldn't be that. And each time that happens, a small part of you gets pushed deeper inside. The real you gets pushed deeper inside.

Jeffrey Aylor:

We start building layers upon layers upon layers over top of our true essence, our true being, that eternal nature and spirit that we are. But that deeper part that's deep within us, deep within you, it never goes away. It's it's still there. And every now and then, you'll feel it. In a quiet moment when everything slows down, Maybe you're sitting out in nature.

Jeffrey Aylor:

Maybe you're just in a position of stillness meditation. In times where you experience truth. And something within you then starts to say, wait a minute, this really isn't me at all. Once we start to recognize that truth, and even recognizing that truth is one thing, living it certainly requires something else. It requires us to let go.

Jeffrey Aylor:

Letting go of who you thought you had to be. Letting go of the pressure that you've been carrying, the belief that you're not enough. And then at some point, you realize. What once protected me. Is actually now limiting me.

Jeffrey Aylor:

And when you begin to see that, you begin to sense that and you begin to understand that. Now you're invited to lay it down. This is the essence of what brought me to write the song on the unity album called Lay It All Down. Let's take a few moments and listen to this song.

Awakening - Heaven on Earth:

You've been running like a freight train, carrying the weight of shame. Built your walls out of hurt and pride, but they're crumbling from the inside. You say I'm fine, but you're barely holding on. You don't have to fight this war alone. Lay it all down at the feet of love.

Awakening - Heaven on Earth:

Let the fire of grace rise up. No more hiding, no more chains, no more guilt, no more blame. Mercy's here, it's calling now. You can be free, Just lay it all down. You've been praying for a breakthrough, feeling like you're too far gone.

Awakening - Heaven on Earth:

But the door's been open wide. You belong, you've always belonged. You can drop the weight you carried all these years. God is near. Oh, God is here.

Awakening - Heaven on Earth:

God Lay it all down at the feet of love. Let the fire of grace rise up. No more hiding. No more chains. No more guilt.

Awakening - Heaven on Earth:

No more blame. Mercy is here. It's calling now. You can be free. Just lay it all down.

Awakening - Heaven on Earth:

Lay down your fear, lay down control, lay down the lies you've been told. Lay down your pride, your need to prove there's a love that fires for you. Lay it all down at the feet of love. Let the fire of grace rise up. No more hiding, no more chains, no more guilt, no more blame.

Awakening - Heaven on Earth:

Mercy's here, it's calling now. You can be free. Yeah. You can be free. So lay it all down.

Awakening - Heaven on Earth:

Come lay it down.

Jeffrey Aylor:

I hope you enjoyed that. I wanna take just a moment, and I want to ask, you know, I want you to notice, what do you feel? What did the music stir up inside of you? No need to no need to analyze it. You don't need to name it.

Jeffrey Aylor:

Just sit with it. In a reclaiming our sacred self is not necessarily something that is dramatic. It's certainly not about becoming perfect, And it happens in small moments. The little things. The details.

Jeffrey Aylor:

You know, moments where you choose to tell the truth. Maybe you choose rest over action or activity. Maybe it's setting a boundary. Maybe it's allowing yourself to actually be seen, not hiding yourself. So there's something I feel really important to share here because this isn't just something that I've been reflecting on.

Jeffrey Aylor:

It's something I'm I'm living right now. You know, I'm at a point in my life where I've been asked to do a work, the universe is or God, whichever name you want to use, has really provided me and downloaded to me all of this wonderful information and has set me on a path with awakening heaven on earth and all of the different elements of this platform, whether it's the books, the podcasts, the music, the art, the community, the community development elements, the nonprofit portion of this that has come to me. All of this has come to me in downloads. I'm certainly not the one who came up with all of this all these ideas or all of this content. It's it truly is, to me, it's miraculous the way that it's come and how quickly and how much and yet, here I am.

Jeffrey Aylor:

I'm a I'm a professional. I'm I'm an executive in a business. And by all standards, live a very comfortable life, financially stable, and yet I really feel the pull. I feel within myself that this work, this is the work I'm supposed to be doing. This is what I'm supposed to be focusing my energy on, and I can tell it.

Jeffrey Aylor:

I can tell by the way it feels when I go to work. My heart and my mind, my focus are just not there as they would have been in the past and were. Not that I can't and still don't do significant things because I can. But this work, spirituality work is really what I feel aligned to, and when I'm doing this work, I'm doing the things that are part of this platform and building and creating, time just evaporates. Time time just moves in such a fluid way, and it just feels so effortless, and it feels right.

Jeffrey Aylor:

It feels so aligned with what I can sense within myself. And there are many things that I have to, at this point, question. You know, thankfully, I'm at an age where I have the opportunity to make decisions and I'm in a position financially. I'm in positions to be able to pursue this with it not being necessarily something that is traumatic. It may be it may be dramatic in my life, but it's certainly not going to create what I believe would be trauma that it might create for other people.

Jeffrey Aylor:

I do think that God is merciful. I think the universe is in many cases wise and merciful, and they recognize and sometimes prepare us and provide for us in a way that puts us in a position where we can make a decision like this. We can we can choose to pursue the things that we're being asked to pursue and and will be provided for. You know, in my Christian upbringing, there's a portion of scripture that talks about how we're to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. And if we do that, then all the things of life, the things that we have need of clothing, shelter, food, all the fundamental things that we have to have to sustain our life, our human life will be provided for us.

Jeffrey Aylor:

If we seek first the kingdom of God, which is spirit and spiritual. And I really do believe that this is one of those situations where it's my responsibility to pursue this, to seek it first above all things, the kingdom within me. I do believe the kingdom of God is within each and every one of us. It's God expressing himself through us individually and experiencing life through us individually yet collectively. And this work is designed for me, and I've been prepared for this.

Jeffrey Aylor:

As I look back over my life, it's amazing to me as I look at all of the different experiences that I've had, all of the education I've received, the things that I've experienced in life, the circumstances have all been building and leading up to this to prepare me to be able to do this work and to do it in a way that will have a big potential impact. Now, you know, the other thing I'm learning as I go through this is that trust. I need to just trust that this is right, that it is good. I believe that if the universe has taken the time and the energy to give me this to do, then the universe also is kind enough and giving enough to provide all of the resources and to make to make the way or to find the appropriate audience. This is something that unlike many podcasts or unlike a number of platforms that you may be familiar with, I don't feel this strong sense of desire to build an audience or to push this out there for monetary reasons or to monetize it or to it really is about the message.

Jeffrey Aylor:

It really is about the content, and I'm confident that the universe has an audience for this. And if you're listening, it may very well be you that will take this and share it with the people that you need to share it with, and and eventually just like in the miracle in in the Christian scriptures that talks about the loaves and fishes and how Jesus took a few loaves of bread and a few fish and blessed it and broke it and distributed among thousands and thousands and thousands, and it fed a multitude of people. And then even after that small offering fed that multitude, they then took up the fragments from what was eaten and had an abundance above that. And I believe this work is very similar to that. I really do believe that it's designed for for me to just create.

Jeffrey Aylor:

My job is to create the loaves and to provide the loaves and fishes, and the universe is going to take it and break it and deliver it throughout the world to all the people. All of the people that it's supposed to get to will get it and will receive it, and this will become a major part of what I believe is a major awakening within the world. We are at a point in our time and in our history that we have to make a decision. We have to make fundamental decisions to choose love over fear and to choose unity over separation. Now I also believe that the universe, if I would not take this work, if I would not choose to pursue it, if I would not choose to lay down and put aside all the things that are able to distract me from it, that are able to keep me from pursuing it, that the universe is wise enough and has prepared other people that it would take this work and it would share it with them to take it and do the things that I think I'm being asked to do in it.

Jeffrey Aylor:

I also believe that there are other people that this is being given to around the world, so that it can be done and given in languages that are appropriate for people around the world, and that collectively, we will all come together because this message is getting out throughout the whole world to that 1% at least of all the the light bearers, the people that have chosen to be here on earth at this time to be the the light that's gonna drive this wonderful and beautiful awakening within our planet. You know, this is this is just I'm just laying it bare. I'm just laying it out there, but this is certainly one of those times where I've had to reclaim my sacred inner self. I've had to prioritize that sacred inner self, that true being. And in doing this, I do believe it's leading to my higher self, my higher purpose.

Jeffrey Aylor:

And the reason that I chose to be here in the world at this time. It's a beautiful thing in my opinion. So, You know, based on all this, as I leave you. With this story, with this. Message.

Jeffrey Aylor:

I have to ask, what are what are you still carry? That you're ready to lay down? And what might be waiting on the other side of that? Not necessarily a new version of you, but a truer version of you. Because the sacred self is not something you become.

Jeffrey Aylor:

It's something that that you remember. It's something that we remember. It's always been within me. I have always felt that there was something like this that I was here to do. Yet the world is pulling me in all these different directions away from it, trying to tell me that this is this is not right.

Jeffrey Aylor:

This is not good. This is not what you should be spending your time doing and your energy. There's other more important things that the world wants you to be doing and and things that are critical when in reality, they're not. It has always been with me, and it has always been with you the entire time. So with that, I want to thank you for being here with me for this time and in this space, and with these thoughts, the space between continues.

Jeffrey Aylor:

As we come to a close, remember that this journey continues in many expressions. This podcast is part of a family of partner podcasts. Awakening Heaven on Earth, The Space Between Heaven and Earth, and Living Heaven on Earth are three companion podcasts exploring spiritual awakening from complementary perspectives.
