Welcome to Carver's Middle East Regulatory Updates for July 19, 2026.

In the United Arab Emirates, the Emirates Medicines Agency has issued a voluntary recall for two batches of ZOPIJUB tablets. Healthcare facilities and practitioners are required to immediately withdraw the specified batches from use and comply with the recall instructions.

Also in the United Arab Emirates, the Dubai Health Authority’s Health Regulation Sector released Administrative Circular Number 30/2026. This circular warns all private healthcare facilities and practitioners in Dubai about counterfeit batches of DARZALEX®, a medication containing daratumumab. Compliance with the circulars issued by the Emirates Medicines Agency is mandatory.

Turning to Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing has approved new rules for the early renewal of investment lease contracts. These rules allow investors to extend their lease contracts after half of the contract duration has elapsed. The framework balances municipal rights with investor development needs. Investors and relevant authorities must follow the published controls and procedures available on the Ministry’s regulations portal.
