Inspirational Media - Conversations

Harry Greenwood is a faith minister known for teaching on faith, healing, and the practical outworking of Scripture.
In this episode, the speaker emphasizes that faith is the confident trust in an unchanging God and His Word, not merely an intellectual belief. He contrasts natural faith with the faith of God, explains that true faith acts on the Word, and demonstrates how faith can yield immediate, tangible results when aligned with God’s promises. The talk also covers hearing God’s voice, the role of the Spirit in powering faith, and the idea that the Word of God is fulfilled before we speak it, guiding believers to pray, decree, and step out with boldness.
Key takeaways include that faith is a gift from God to be exercised daily, that believers can speak and see God’s Word established, and that a life of faith requires surrender from reasoning and dependence on God’s supply, not merely human effort. Greenwood also shares personal testimonies of provision, healing, and breakthrough to illustrate faith in action and the shift from merely surviving by faith to thriving in God’s provision.

00:00:00 Speaker: Faith, I believe, is the key to everything, no matter what God says, and you can understand it. It's not going to be received in your experience until you believe it. I'll say that again in another way by giving mental consent. And I've said this in many countries to what God has said is not enough. I know so many Christians who are accumulating knowledge to the extent that they're really got spiritual indigestion. They really look like they're overfed. It's the outworking that brings the thrill to what you have received. It brings the blessing and the experience. It's the outworking. It's the actual experience of what God says today that makes God a reality. Very often we have a technical God, a theological God, a biblical God, but not a person that we are spiritually related to, related to, and there's something vital in that relationship. Now God has something for everybody's faith to bring forth. And whatever you bring forth in your faith build is built in to the church, is built into the whole building. So then, without faith, it's impossible to please God. I want to start off with those very well-known words tonight in Hebrews chapter eleven. I don't know if there is such a thing as blind faith, though. I've used the expression myself because faith is the substance. Faith in itself is not sufficient. It must be in something. You have faith in God, faith in God. How God abstract God, God, faith in God's word is faith in God. Basically, then faith is confidence in God's Word. Now, a lot of material that God has used in the past, people. I think Smith Wigglesworth well, he was very crude and he didn't have any background. He was a plumber, I believe, and he couldn't do anything unless God gave him something and God gave him the ability to do it. He was hopeless. But one thing he did have, he did have faith. He did have faith. And as a result of that faith, that man had a ministry. God could. In other words, bring forth the things that he needed to bring forth for the people that needed it. Through that man's faith, God could bring something into being through that man's faith. Now God Himself has so much to give us. He wants to express himself. He wants to reveal himself, but he only speaks to faith. He only speaks to faith. The devil speaks to unbelief and doubt and fear, and the devil does speak. A lot of people have heard the devil more times than they've heard God, because they haven't always been in faith. Now we read, as Hebrews defines, defines it as the right of the Hebrew, defines it in Hebrews chapter eleven, in King James Version. Now faith. Now this is absolutely vital. You can't have faith in a God that goes on changing his mind, his ways, and everything else. God must be exactly what he says he is. God must not move. Therefore he can move everything that needs to be moved. God does not need to be moved. Isn't that wonderful? He doesn't need to be changed. In Malachi three six I am the Lord, and I change not, nor will I alter the thing that has gone forth from my mouth. My word. In Psalm one hundred and nineteen, verse eighty nine is settled forever in heaven. Faith in God is faith in God's Word. You must believe that God is. Now how can you have faith in a person if they keep changing their mind? If they keep, in other words, letting you down, how can you have faith in that person? You have faith in a person as much as you prove that person by their word and their faithfulness. So you have confidence in the person, and when the person is not present, you have as much faith in their word when they're not present as if they were. That's an important statement because even though God not being present where we can see him, we have His Word and God's Word is himself. There is no difference between God and His Word. The word was God. Isn't that wonderful? Now you can have real faith and real confidence in a God that cannot be moved. A God in this sense that does not have to change what he's already said because it's perfect. A God that does not have to change and alter today because he is perfect. He is an eternal being. And I think that's wonderful. Now this book. Praise God for it, is a wonderful book. When I think of all the textbooks today, and man is constantly changing them to keep up with the times, he is one book that man doesn't need to change. But here's a book that can change every man. Up to date. Up to date. Defy anybody to tell me it's not up to date? Poor old Voltaire. He had an illusion. One day he thought, because of the scientific advancement of mankind, that the Bible. And he said it publicly. I nearly said what I said in Ireland once publicly. He said it publicly, and I get excited. I become Irish, he said. In ten years time, he said, the Bible will be a museum piece. Ha ha. The only museum piece today is Voltaire. Hallelujah! But God has a sense of humor. The Geneva Bible distribution center. Do you know where it is? Yes, it's the home of Voltaire. Yes. God has a sense of humor. Now, this is absolutely vital that you have confidence in God's Word. Now, you accept as much as you can with your reason and the rest. By faith. God has not asked you to understand all the Bible. Isn't that wonderful? Amen. I think it's wonderful. But he's asked you to believe it. He's asked you to believe it. And there are so many things in there that will never appeal to your reason. They will never appeal even to your logic. And I praise God for it because God's ways are past finding out. So he wants us to bend our reason to accept by faith what he says that he might reveal to us after we've taken the step, the wisdom of God. Oh it's wonderful. God has some wonderful ways of doing things. Hallelujah! We have a wonderful God. But most of us don't know that we know about him, but we don't know him. Faith allows you to know God in a wonderful way, and faith is very simple. Most believers, you can call them believers or not. I've never seen so many unbeliever unbelieving believers. Most Christians doubt their believing and believe their doubts. They have more faith in the fact that they don't have faith than the fact that they do. And when some Christians feel nothing, they believe they've lost their faith. Feelings are not facts. Thank God for that. God has given us facts to put our faith in. But when God says that you've got faith, I think it's wonderful, because now I have to have faith in the fact that I've got faith, and I can have faith in the fact that I've got faith because God said so. It is the gift of God. Hallelujah! And the gifts and the callings of God are without repentance. God knew what he was doing when he gave us faith. Hallelujah! Now the thing is, whose faith is it? I'd like to just clear this up for a few moments. And what I see personally. Now, that's natural faith. Most people have it. When you get on the bus, you don't say to the bus driver, excuse me, have you had a medical recently? Um, have you passed your driving test or do you feel alright this morning? You get on there in faith and we do many things. Naturally, we pick up the telephone and expect all these things to happen. But when it comes to the faith of the Son of God, it's remarkable that most people can't believe that they've got his faith. If God's going to give us faith to start with, it must be somebody's faith. Now, Jesus made some a very significant remark, and I believe that King James translators just couldn't take it. And we'll start with that, first of all, and we'll where do we find that? Mark eleven. Verse twenty two is correct. Let's start with this and see if you can swallow this. You'll, you'll, you'll this is the main, you know, main course. If you can swallow this, you can get through the rest. Mark eleven. Hebrews eleven is such a wonderful example, wonderful example of what faith in a wonderful God brought about the things that men did, the exploits. It's a quite exciting book, and when you get to chapter twelve and verse two, you come to the answer, alright, now that you've heard all about these great men, fine. Now just forget that for a moment. Now, looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith, how can he begin and end, be the author and the finisher of our faith? Unless, first of all, he used it himself. You cannot understand faith in this sense unless you use it. I understand faith, and I know faith in people because I've got faith. I discern faith. Paul perceived in his spirit that the man had faith to be healed. Remember the story in acts chapter fourteen, verse seven to ten. He perceived that the man had had faith. So you know faith. Now Jesus pointed to faith. Constantly thy faith hath made thee whole. Be it unto thee according to thy faith. I think it's wonderful. Now he comes to this point in Mark eleven, verse twenty two. You remember the incident. He cursed the fig tree, and it withered up and died. It did not wither up and die on the spot like many sicknesses. Don't wither up and die on the spot. I have cursed cancer. After I've cast the spirit or cancer out, I've cursed the cancer and believe it or not, it's withered up and died from that very moment. And when the person's had the operation, they've just removed the dead cancer out. It's all folded up, neatly separated from the body, and they've just removed it. Isn't that remarkable? So now I think on this point then that I believe then the moment I speak the word. And this is something about faith that's remarkable. I've got the result. Faith allows me to have an instantaneous result in everything faith does experience. I might have to wait for it, but faith allows me to have an instant result because faith is based not on the result, but on the Word of God, which is even greater than the result. Because if you've got God's Word, praise God, you've got the result. Remember, God always has the word already fulfilled before he speaks it. That is the faith of God. God sees everything fulfilled before he speaks it. Now this sort of faith is here today. Hallelujah! Remember, we are his children. Like father. Like son. Hallelujah. And now the Lord Jesus Christ demonstrates this sort of faith. He cursed the fig tree because it was a barren fig tree. And it said the time of figs was not yet, but figs are generally harvested, I believe. Maybe, um, you could enlarge on this sometime, but you'd know better than I would. Uh, about July. And the three crops of figs generally on the fig tree. And you have figs on the fig tree, generally in the Middle East for about three months of the year. So when he came to the fig tree, the harvest hadn't been yet. And Jesus knew when the harvest was, and he knew, and he knew that there should be figs on the fig tree. And I believe the Passover that year was in April. So that was the end of March. So when he came to the fig tree and there was no figs on it, there was no excuse, because generally speaking, the figs come first and then the leaves. So if there was leaves on the tree, there should have been figs on the tree. And if it was March, late March, then it wasn't the harvest of figs. So the fig tree had no excuse whatsoever. So he cursed it for deceiving him. He created all things for him. The only purpose he created the fig tree, that it might bear fruit for mankind. So it was not serving him, not serving mankind. And so he cursed it, and it withered up from the roots. And Peter brought to his notice. And I think this is a remarkable, um, thing. Uh, in Mark chapter eleven, verse twenty, and in the morning, as they were, as they're passing by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots, not from the leaves, from the roots, from the very source of its life. Jesus cut it off. A curse cut off the very source of life. If you can remember that those that curse sickness, some people curse sickness. I don't always feel led to curse it, but I have cursed, um, skin cancer inside. I have cursed disease and it's died because I believe he's given us power in the name of Jesus over all sickness and disease as he gave it to them in the early in the in the early parts of the gospel, when they went out to preach. He gave them power and authority and power to heal the sick. Now. And Peter called to remembrance, said unto him, master, behold the fig tree. Master. Excuse me. Jesus wasn't looking. He said, look, the fig tree that you cursed is withered away. And Jesus, this is tremendous. He turned around and he said to Peter, don't look at just the results. Look at what calls the results in this sense have the faith of God. I mean, they put it down in your version, have faith in God, but have the faith of God. And what is the faith of God? It sees the word fulfilled before you speak it. You speak the word that you might have the result, but you have the result by the word before you speak it. Isn't that remarkable? You speak that it might come into being. In other words, if my son was hanging off the chandelier, I would say, David, get down. I wouldn't say David, get down to see if he'd get down in my mind and my authority in my position already. I know that David's going to get down when I say get down. David. Is that clear? David? Right. You see the point? God is completely confident in himself. Therefore, he knows that every time he speaks, what he says is going to be fulfilled. Faith gives you a confidence, and you know whatever you say will be fulfilled. There was a lady in the meeting one night. She was coming out towards me as I called her out by the word of knowledge. I said, don't come any further, sister. You're healed now. I'll tell you something. She was not healed when I said, sister, you are healed. No, no she wasn't, but she was in the faith to be healed. So she came out and I prayed for her. She would have been healed. And I already saw healed because she was in the faith to be healed. I did not see her sick. I could only see the results. So I spake the word I speak. That's all that was required. Just speak the word only when you've got the results in your faith, You can give the results to the person by the word that you speak. You got it. Now you can go further on here and you can say to this mountain, I'm. I'm meaning what I'm saying tonight. I said to her sister, you are healed. She believed it without going to her body. And this is a very important statement. Without going to her body, she believes she was healed and she was healed immediately, completely delivered. Now, if she went to her body to see if she was healed, she would not have been healed. But since she was in faith, she accepted the word as the result. And what she accepted, she got. Oh, I think that's thrilling. Are you getting this? Now, this. This can change your whole life. It can change your whole life. Because once you realize then that the faith that God has given you is the faith of the Son of God. Paul implied this. I don't believe it was faith in Jesus. I believe it was the faith of Jesus. In Galatians two twenty, it's not I that live, but Christ that liveth in me, and the life that I now live in the flesh. I live by the faith of the Son of God. And I believe personally that it is the gift of God at salvation. There is also a gift of faith which operates. It's one of the gifts of the Holy Ghost, which operates at a certain level of response from the congregation, and it also operates privately. When you arrive at a certain level of faith through prayer, the gift of faith operates so that you see the whole thing done. You accept it as a fact and it comes to pass. That's and that's another and another subject, the gift of faith. But I wanted to bring this one out that at salvation and Ephesians two verse eight, by grace are you saved through faith, that not of yourselves it's the gift of God. I believe that God at the very beginning has given us everything that Jesus had. How can we represent Him as He is? How can we do what he did? How can we do it unless we have the same faith? Now, I believe, therefore, that the measure of faith is the measure, not a measure. It's the measure. I believe, therefore, that every person receives the measure of faith, as in as in Romans twelve three. Every person. Now, if that is so, then why do most of us find it difficult then? Uh, in other words, to have faith if we've all got. I haven't got faith like Smith Wigglesworth. Well, you might have a lot of talents and ability, a lot of reason, and a whole lot of other things that you would depend upon. But when you've got nothing to depend upon but God. Hallelujah. You take Abraham. Isn't he a wonderful example of faith? You may say Amen. I'm getting hot too, but not bothered. Hallelujah. Now, Abraham, what theological background have you got? Just a pure pagan. A very pure pagan. No background whatsoever. Just the person God's looking for. The people that have real faith today have no religious background. If anything will rob you of faith. It's a religious background. I'm sorry about that. People think that faith is just a religious life, the faith that was delivered up to us. It's not talking about that. I believe, then, that faith must be tried and tested to prove to you first that you've got it and what you've got it in. And other people got faith in themselves, and they collapse in their faith. People say, I'm a really strong Christian. I've got about fifteen props. Another fifteen Christians that they rely on. Every time the telephone goes, they call them up and and so forth. And then there comes a day when they can't get him on the phone and God tries their faith not to get rid of it, but to purify it, to remove the things from it that are stopping it being used in its fullness. Now God is going to try your faith till the day you get to glory, to show you that faith in itself is perfect. The faith that he's given you is perfect. The imperfections have come in through your background, your past, and a whole lot of other things. And also those things that you've accepted and those things that you've rejected and your own responses. Now, I believe that God is clearing up the church, and in the last days we're going to live by faith. Now, when I say live by faith, I mean live by faith. From Habakkuk two four he says, the just shall live by his faith, does it not? Doesn't say your faith. It says his faith. But it's translated in three places in the New Testament in Romans one seventeen, in Galatians three eleven, and Hebrews ten, verse thirty eight. The just shall live by faith. The just shall live by faith. So I want to say this. If the faith comes from God as a gift, then it's going to take me all the way back to its source. And it means that if I've got the faith of God. I can do every thing that God requires of me, which brings the glory to God, which reveals God, which demonstrates his power and everything else. The works that I do. John fourteen twelve. The works that I do, the works that I do. Jesus sent them out to do the same things that he was doing, and when they didn't have faith, he couldn't understand it. When Peter began to sink, when things began to go wrong, why the Lord Jesus Christ was perfect. Perfect. He offered himself up a sacrifice. I believe by faith. Without faith, it's impossible to please God. And so he showed us what his faith could do. Folks, he didn't do everything with his faith. There was lots more that could have been done, but the time was too short and he's left us the pleasure of exploiting the depth of the faith of the Son of God. Isn't it wonderful? Oh, can't you get a little more excited than one? Amen. Over there. Hallelujah! You shall say to this mountain, be thou removed. Could do with a change of scenery around here, folks. You could do with a change of scenery in your life. Most people are looking at the mountain all the time and say, God, please remove this mountain. He said, I've given you the faith to remove it. You say to the mountain, and you shall have whatsoever you say. And that's true. As you wake up in the morning, say, oh, I think I've got cancer, you shall have whatsoever you say. If you have faith for cancer, more than likely you'll get it. Most people believe for a rainy day, and sure enough, if they even provide for a rainy day, they save for a rainy day. And sure enough, God sends them along a rainy day. Hallelujah! God is faithful. If you believe for a rainy day, you'll get one. So most Christians are believing for something, and if you ask them what they were believing for, you wouldn't believe. You just wouldn't believe what they're believing for. Now, I believe the Word of God clearly shows us where to put our faith, and the faith is something that begins to come forth. It begins to grow out of your unbelief, out of your reasoning. Now, reason, I believe, is the greatest enemy of faith, the greatest enemy. Faith and reason can go for a walk. And sure enough, halfway along the road, reason will say, that's as far as I'm going. Thank you. And Faith says, well, there's yet much more to see and possess, but reason gives you a reason why you can't accept it. It's not possible, and so forth. And I believe something that God will constantly challenge your reason for your reasons. Why is it that you won't do it? Well, because I'll make a fool of myself. Well, you always expect to make a mistake every time you open your mouth. Sure enough, you'll never open your mouth. But I believe there's an opening of our mouth. And I open my mouth by faith. The first time I heard interpretation. When I heard interpretation the next time I heard a message in tongue. I opened my mouth by faith and God filled it. Didn't think he would do it so quickly. I stumbled over the words and mumbled over them. And the power of God was so much I could. I was shaking afterwards and when I heard somebody prophesy, I did the same thing. And I realized that in that faith naturally fulfilled the function of the spirit. Naturally did it. And I learned a secret then that I could abide in the presence of God. And then I begin to believe that it was God that was speaking to me, and all sorts of things started to happen. I believed and acted upon it. And I'll tell you just a few things. I read the New Testament. I had read the books about great men of faith and so forth, and I used to weep. And I tell you the truth, I got on my knees and I heard tapes of great men and calling people out and doing all sorts. And I wept because my ministry and my faith in action was so far away from these men, I despaired. I despaired. And you know something? Most of us want to come directly into a perfect ministry. People say, brother, I'm waiting for my ministry. I said, listen, Minister, what you've got and you'll get more of it. And the more you get, it'll make way for you. You're in the ministry once you can reach heaven for people. Hallelujah! And minister what you give. There's no problem menacing. But I, I've seen brother so and so. Minister. I won't mention any names. Brother so-and-so ministry. And that's the ministry that I really want. Well, um, would you do you want the circumstances that brought him to the place where he could minister? Not on your life. You want to see some of them? I lived in such a way. My wife is here. Present. You can verify this. We lived on one time when we were living by faith. And when I mentioned living by faith, I meant living by faith. We wanted to be pure in our faith. So we never took up an offering. Never for years, never took up an offering. We never mentioned that we were living by faith, for we felt that God would supply all our need. But we really didn't know what we were letting ourselves in for. Have you ever been in an area where people mostly of most. They're mostly Methodists, and they've had a touch of God in the past. People like Billy Bray, who said, if you put me in a will, an in a what is it in a in a barrel and rolled me down the street, he said, I shout glory through the bunghole. He formed a whole lot of churches and all the rest, and used to go into the vicarage and pick up the vicar and dance around the room with him, and said, be you saved as they speak in Cornwall, another language down there. Well, I went down to Cornwall, which is the evangelist graveyard. I'll tell you something. When God speaks down there, they all think it's thundering. Yeah, there were people around Jesus that thought it thundered. This is my beloved son. Was that thunder I heard? How far away from me God can you be when you think when God speaking is thunder, it can be quite a long distance away. Now those people put us through it and God put us in his school. Since. Since now. We went to his Bible school. Ha! Oh, brother, you learn by experience and then God brings you to His word and he confirms that experience quite often. That's the way we learned. And so we learned the hard way. We had nobody to meet our needs as far as people were, you know, sending money every week because we had no beginning. I was in missionary work. God filled with the Holy Ghost and then got out of missionary work very quickly. The organization I was in didn't accept that experience, so I was out. But the point was this that God called me to called us to live by faith. And, uh, the first month or, and most of the months that followed, we had something like, uh, about I say would be about eight to ten dollars. We used to get a month, eight to ten dollars, and you try living on eight to ten dollars. We used to go out on the door knocker ministering, and we'd have to believe for our meals. We'd have to believe that the unconverted would invite us in for a lunch that we didn't. We didn't have the money for, or we didn't have any food. And we believe that my wife and I, we didn't have a car. We walked everywhere. We walked five miles there, seven miles back, and we ministered every day. And I'll tell you, we really worked and we worked hard at it. And we realized that we were working ourselves to death. Now God very deliberately stepped into my life, and I had to learn the hard way when I got to the end and said, Lord, I can't do anything more than he would show me that I was doing things in the flesh. I was doing things in the knowledge of my training and my ability, and I was working only in the realm of what I what I could do. But faith allowed me to move out of the limitations of what I could do into the realm of God. Where not alone was I provided for, but I was empowered, and I received knowledge directly from God that I couldn't find through my five senses. If I had known in those days how much was available to me. Oh, I would not have gone through what I went through. My people are brought into captivity for lack of knowledge. My honorable men are famished. The multitudes dried up with thirst, says Isaiah. I think it's Isaiah five, verse thirteen. Check. Yes it is. My people perish for lack of knowledge. And this was absolutely true. I was living like a pauper. That's absolutely true. I did not know of the fatness of the land, the riches of God's glory. All the things that God had provided through Calvary. I didn't know about them. I lived just in the circumstances that I found myself in. I did not live, I existed. That's the truth, folks. If you're going to pioneer something, Derek will know about this in Lydia. They've pioneered a work in many countries. You're going to pay a price for it. You've got to sit down with a couple of people. You have to minister just to a well, if you see the people, the material that God gave you, you couldn't possibly believe. Can any good thing come out of this? You know, no matter we in one place. I just couldn't believe till the the till the till. The postmistress got baptized in the Holy Ghost while she was riding on her bicycle. And that was the first, the first breakthrough. She was a methodist, and it wasn't psychological. Hallelujah. To really explain what I mean when I say that we were living not in Hallelujah land, we were living in our circumstances, not really realizing how much God had provided. And I didn't realize that faith was the key to every door of God's provision. Um, I remember reading about a family that went from Scotland to America. Yes. That's right. Um, and they decided to economize by, uh, mother did by making sandwiches. So she made cheese sandwiches, made a whole case of them so they wouldn't have to eat on the boat. Don't you like cheese sandwiches? And, um, after three days out, little Johnnie couldn't take it any longer. Mommy, I can't look. Another cheese sandwich in the face. It really cheesed off with the sandwiches. And so he said, mother, like mothers are, you know, gave in to him and says, all right, darling, she said, and took her, opened her purse and the moths flew out. And she said, she said, here's some money. Go down to the restaurant and, you know, you just buy yourself some food. So he came back about an hour later with a certain part of his anatomy bulging, and she looked in horror at him. She said, what have you been eating? Oh, he said, I had steak. And he went right through the menu, and she was going pale at the gills. And she said, Johnny, she said, how much does it? How much does it cost me? How much have you spent? He said nothing, mum. It's all included in the ticket. When I found out it was all included in the ticket, then my whole life changed. Now I came up progressively. I couldn't jump into somebody else's revelation without the same circumstances I found. And no matter how people said how easy it was to do this and this, I had to find my own way. Now, I did start at the beginning. I would say that I started at a place where most people don't want to start at the beginning. I saw the day of small things. I began to despise them until God showed me that it was from faith to faith. And as we went on with him, we would increase in everything that we could hold and keep for the glory of God. Now God is so wonderful in his wisdom. He doesn't allow anybody to arrive overnight because they'll collapse right on their face. Pride is a terrible thing, and once a man thinks he's got something or something special, he then has confidence in that thing and he has pride because of it very often. But when we know that we have, there's no good thing in the flesh, and that everything that we've got is in Christ Jesus, and it is the gift of God through his wonderful grace. Then it's different altogether. So there is a point where you can say, well, really, I don't have any gifts. They're all in the Holy Ghost. They belong to the Lord. They're his, and they will return to him. But the fact is this that my faith has allowed God to use these gifts. In other words, it's allowed God a channel in which to pour out his spirit in these in this certain way, to the people that are in need. Now you must first find things for yourself. Since we didn't have any family doctor, dentist or anything else like that, and our children really haven't been to a doctor as far as that is concerned. And of course, naturally we would send our children to a doctor if God didn't heal them. But until he stops healing them, we will continue to to use the Lord, you know. Amen. I'm not against doctors. Most of my friends. I have a lot of friends I should say that are doctors, and I stay with them and live with them and pray for their patients and so forth. You do have to have patience to have actually today, to have patience. You quite understand what I mean. And this sort of living now by faith. Now what I meant living most of the time we were really just existing, but all the time we were need conscious. Now I meet Christians that are need conscious and I only talk to their needs. I don't even meet the Lord. And after an hour I've met all their needs and not even the Lord. Now this is changing. Have you noticed that when you meet people today, they share what they've got in Christ because they've got the faith to believe that as you share or as you give, it increases and you only have what you've got in your mouth. In other words, what you confess, what you talk about. And if you hold forth a good confession, you'll get a little more of what you've got continually. It will increase all the time. If you speak about faith, you get faith. It's like the minister that comes to me and says, my church is dead. Well, I said, you're feeding him. Well, if you feed them death, you're going to reap death. You can't blame God for the harvest when you've done the sowing, can you? So I believe this. Then we have to sow to ourselves also in the spirit faith. We have to confess faith. We had to believe together, my wife. We had to hold on to God together and so forth. And I believe God taught us in those years something that no Bible school in the world could have taught us. I praise God we had to unlearn a lot of things, but we unlearned things as we were taught new things by the Holy Spirit. Now I discovered what faith was all about. It was so simple. It was ridiculous. It was this just basic confidence that you are actually hearing God speak to you. So when I ask God a question, I got an answer. And when you have no transport, you've got to use your faith. Isn't that lovely? Now, most people have never been in the predicament that my wife and I found ourselves in. No transport, no home, no nothing. I lived in two rooms with a damp wall with three children, all sleeping in the same room for two years. I didn't complain. Now God has given me a house. I didn't buy it in the sense of going out and getting one. God gave it to me. Everything that we've got, God has given it to us. See this suit I'm wearing? Do you know I'm living by faith today? This is quite ridiculous. Really. I went to United States and I said to the Lord, Lord, I haven't got time to buy a suit. Please, Lord, can you make arrangements for me? So I thought the first place I would go to United States, I'd look out for a suit and get one. And it's the only time I've ever left England with a few jackets and and slacks without any suit. I didn't have a suit. I arrived in United States, and I was in, in, in when I arrived in United States. I was in this home that I arrived at just about two or three minutes. Not more than that when the when this person came up to me and said, is this right, Harry? God has told me to get you a suit. Oh, father. Thank you. You shouldn't. Now, he didn't say it to me. Three trips later, when I would have bought a suit, I would have bought a suit. I would have bought a suit in that place because I needed one. And then. And then somebody would have said to me, God has told me to buy you the first place I arrived at. And I wasn't in that home. When God showed me his concern for what I was wearing. God's interested in what you're wearing. When my wife wants to buy something quite often and it may appear to be expensive, she's still reluctant. We still buy things as we're led by the spirit. We just don't spend money like some people think. Well, you've got it to spend it. No we don't. We are controlled in our buying by the Holy Spirit and this is how it should be. So we still have a thrill. So she prays about some of the things that she needs, and sure enough, she'll get them in a sale. She'll get them half price, a third price, and something else like this. It's not that we're saving God money. But I love shopping with the Lord. This is faith. And when does faith in it? It pleases God that you are dependent on him, and you know that his wisdom is better than yours. He knows the suit that will suit you. We do not bring God into everything because we've learned to be independent of God. God only comes in in a crisis, and this is not how God wants you to find him or know him only. He wants you to know him in every single thing. God wants to be in everything. And where there is no faith, God is not pleased. He sees us struggling through life without faith. Paul said, we walk by faith. I think it's in two Corinthians five seven. It is. We walk by faith, he said, and not by sight. It's a good job. If he walked by sight, he got a few sites, didn't he? Look at the situations he found himself in. My goodness me, Paul, do you still you believe you're called? How about the dungeon, Paul? I'll tell you something. I know some missionaries. If they found themselves in and Paul's predicament. Do you know what they do? They resign. Didn't join the mission field for this. Have you seen how some missionaries go out from the country? First of all, they tell everybody just what they haven't got. I tell you, I'd make it hard for God. And I once or twice I've got God in a real spot. Oh, I'll tell you, I have. You know, I'm the sort of person you can say certain things to. But there's a little daring in me, a little something inside, you know. And you just dare me. I mean, I've done some of the craziest things in my lifetime. Believe you me, that I. You know, I it's a wonder I'm alive. I have done some crazy. I won't go into them, but just for a dare. And one day I was in the city of Plymouth. And I remember I had no money for food. And I was passing a certain restaurant, and the odor that was coming out was just. Mhm. You know, my flesh wasn't too far away and I got a tremendous response from my stomach. And I said, Lord, looks like it's going to be a compulsory fast today. You know, I have no money for food. And God spoke to me and it was so beautiful, so simple. And he said, why don't you go in and have lunch on me? Now, I may be I may be one of the few people in this world that God can speak to in this particular way. And do you know what? I believed it was the Lord, and I jumped at it immediately. I was in that door before you knew it. You know, I jump first and then think about it afterwards. I sat down and they gave me the menu, what was on the menu for the day, and I looked at it and I thought to myself, I must admit, I did have a little, little nagging thought. First of all, anyway, I ordered a steak. A good big steak since God was paying. And um. Second, the nagging thought came anyway. I said, if anything goes wrong here, I'm certainly not washing dishes for a hamburger, you know, or something else. But I did. I did put that thought out of my mind. I did put that thought out of my mind. Now, I said to myself, I do not have a problem until I get up there and face that cashier with the bill. You know, I don't have a problem till then, so it's no good to be living in ten minutes time. God has only asked me to live now, so I'm. I'm living now as if everything is alright and it's alright. And until it's all wrong. And I kept my faith. Now I'll tell you something. If you're in a predicament predicament like that, may I suggest something to you? For goodness sake, don't think about the consequences. Don't even think because you'll get indigestion as you eat. I got the bill and I got up as if everything was alright and everything was straightened out. I had no problem whatsoever that Bill didn't tell me anything, but other than I was in God's supply, I didn't know where the supply was. But that wasn't my problem. That was God's. He invited me for lunch and that was it. And I went up there and I threw my bill down. And I got a shock because the cashier had changed over. It was a different person, and I knew the person and the person was a Christian. And I threw down my bill because my back was to him. And he looked up and he said, oh, he said, hello, Harry. He said, while you were sitting over there, he said, God spoke to me and told me to pay for your lunch. And I'll tell you something, just for a moment, I really wanted to prove God. And this is the truth. I knew this man was this person was a very generous person. And I said, I'm sorry, but I can't accept charity now, you won't believe this, but I did say that. I just had to prove it. You see, I even at that point, I wanted him to say it and to be clear about it, and he nearly got mad. And he said, Harry, when I was over there, he said, God spoke to me and told me that I was to pay for your lunch. He spoke to me. He said he told me I was to pay for your lunch. You're in God's will. And I got out of there as quickly as possible. Do you know that? Did something for me. It did something for me. And since then, I've trusted the Lord. I have also driven up to a petrol pump with no money, just running out of petrol. And got it just enough, you know, to get to the pump and no further. And I had somebody sitting in the back and I remember the same thing again. And I thought to myself, it's very difficult, you know, not to go into reason and to think and to doubt in situations like this. I get myself in some real situations, but I realise the worst situation I get myself into, I am also getting my God into it. He said I will never leave you nor forsake you. Ha ha. And I said, that's true of us. Stuck. If he's stuck, you know. But I've never found myself in a situation where God hasn't got an answer. And if I'm in the will of God and I'm in peace, God can speak to me. And please remember this. It's your attitude in a situation. Remember this if you're in panic or in fear, you won't hear the voice of God. And even though God had led you up to that situation to prove your faith, you can collapse right on your face. You see, most people are so thrilled when God tells them to do something and he gives them two weeks to do it. And I'm thrilled to give testimonies everywhere. But God has told me he's going to do or he wants me to do, and they're really thrilled. And then when the last day comes and he hasn't done it, or he hasn't produced it and it hasn't arrived. Where's your testimony? Well, you want to hide underneath the table because there's no evidence, you see. Now, while there was enough time for God to do something, for God to intervene, you know, you had a testimony. But now, as it gets later and the hour is upon you and there's nobody can intervene, there's no possible hope. You've got nothing to rely on now, nothing to hope in. There's only one thing you can do is commit yourself completely and utterly to the word that God has given you. And your faith is only tried then be tried for ten minutes the last ten minutes before the post arrives or something arrives or something happens. You remember that up till then you may be in hope, but the faith has been tried when there is not a thing to support it, but God's Word. There's no hope. There's no way out. It's the end of the road, and it's only God that can intervene. And if you can stay in peace in those last few minutes and keep your mind from robbing you, from dragging you down and all the rest, I'll tell you something. Your faith will come out of there shining gold. Hallelujah. Some of you have experienced that right up to the last second. Oh, I've gone through it too. We've had to believe for the children, for this. And my wife has committed herself to this. And even paying the coal man. And no money, not enough in her purse. And by the time she got from the living room to the back door, she had to pass the front door. It opened. A lady said, I don't know why I'm doing this. Put a pound in her hand, left and so forth. And she went on her way, continued on her way, and paid the coal. Man, I was close. God has a perfect time. It's the time, it's the time. It's the time that you don't want. You know when you pray, you want God to answer immediately so that you know in no predicament. You know, you know, you can't be made a fool of. You can't be made. You can't make a mistake. Anyway. Let me go back and get filled up. Um, I'm telling you this because I feel it's very significant. In these last days, many Christians have limited God in the material realm. Most of their life, they're spending getting something or working for something to achieve something. And all the time, if they sought first the kingdom of God and increased in their spiritual life, they would arrive at a place where the material realm would serve them to the measure that they were serving the Lord, or they were committed to the Lord. I believe everything material. If I can buy a thing that will give me more time, if I can travel by plane, I will do so. So I can give more time to the Lord or be more comfortable. Material things do not mean anything to me. I can have what I want in the Lord. He told me that to the measure that it will serve me and not bring me into pride so very often. Then when you want something from God, he doesn't always give it to you. He has a reason for that and you've got to respect that reason. I preached in this family for two and a half years about faith. They were completely convinced about faith, and they'd seen God use me in a wonderful way as far as faith is concerned. And now he suggested to me one day, could we go and visit this person who's got cancer? Now, he was the last person I wanted in my car. I had no money and I had just enough petrol maybe to get halfway, halfway to the to the person that he wanted us to visit to. Now, what would you have done in that situation? Would you have borrowed it or done something else? You know, you you can't get out of it and God knows me how. I'm a such a schemer. I'll try and dodge anything if I can, you know what I mean? And and when I move one in one of my dodges, I come face to face with something that I never expected. And I can see the Lord up there laughing, saying ha! You thought you got away with it, didn't you? You know, he knows me, you know. Does he know me? But I know him, too. Hallelujah. Now, um, what happened was that this gentleman said, well, we'll, you know, use your car. So he jumped in the back, and I didn't know what to do. So when I don't know what to do, I don't do anything, you know, out of order. I don't try to do anything I don't like. Try to get out of a situation when I don't know what to do. That's true in a situation like this. And so I was in peace, and I knew it was God's will for me to see this person. So I accepted the provision which was in God's will, which wasn't wasn't in my pocket. You understand? Very easy to have faith when you've got money in your pocket. So we are driving along, and I knew I couldn't go any further, and I couldn't take any chance. Otherwise I'd be pushing this car and I'd have a lot of explaining to do. But I didn't want to hurt two and a half years of ministry, and this really bothered me. So I said, Lord, I'm going to trust you. And we came to a certain point, and I now yielded to the spirit completely. And I knew I knew everything that I got from God was absolutely right. First, I spoke at the right time. Exactly the right time. I said, I feel I've got to. I must stop for petrol, I said. He said, oh, I'm glad you said it just right now, because around the corner there's a petrol station here now. I pulled up at the petrol station and I reached out to the Lord. And what do I say? And the words came to me exactly what I should say. Then I wound down the window. The attendant came round and he said, yes. I said, fill it up. Now I got those words directly from God. I can tell you. Fill it up. Now I had no problem yet. Only when you come to pay do you have the problem when you can't. Everything was going fine according to. He was filling it up and everything else. And then I waited. Now for the next move. And I'm very, very conscious. It's like leading a person to Christ or leading somebody into deliverance or something else like that. Very conscious of every word I say and every thought. And so I rested in the Lord. And then the next action came. I felt I should get out of the car, as he had just filled it up and walk around the front. I walked around the front to pay him as if I had the money in my pocket. I acted out exactly. You know the situation as if it was all right. I had everything in order and I walked and I was walking past the window. It my friend rolled it down. Just a moment. Harry and I forgot all about him. You know, at that point, because I was so concentrated on the Lord. And he said, and I, he said, I'm just writing out a check. He was looking at the amount on the on the meter. What do you mean, writing out a check? And I never thought it never even entered my head that God was going to speak to this man. And this is what happened. I said, well, um, he said, now look, Harry, I know you don't mind paying, but this is what happened the moment I got into this car. He said, God said three words to me. Only three words. He said, fill it up. And I tell you, I tell you my. There was hairs on the back of my neck. They were sticking out. I, I could feel things running up and down my spine. I had goose pimples on my goose pimples. I won't go into any more of it. But I took that chip check, and I paid him. And afterwards, when everything was all right, I told him and he looked at me. You've got a nerve, you know. But it wasn't that, folks. There is. There is a rest in the Lord. You must believe that if you're not living in your pocket and you're living in God's pocket, he has his hands in many people's pockets. Hallelujah! You are free. You are free. Now, I can't go into the full revelation of this, but you are free now. Once you are free, and the only way you can be free is that your faith is in God's supply, so that you believe that the invisible supply is always at hand, and you're not living in the limitations of what you've got or what you can do. If you get out of that, if you get out of that, we I believe God has laid a tremendous foundation this morning, this morning, for most of us to move out of the position that we were once in. And remember, we've developed in this thing we've developed in poverty, we've developed in our limited thinking, we've developed in in sickness, in our thinking, in sickness. We've developed now the world thinks like that. And Paul said, as in Rome, don't do as the Romans do. That's my translation. He said, be not conformed. But he said, be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. Be not conformed to this world. Do you understand what I mean? They think in what they can see, feel, hear, and smell. Folks, they live within the realm of the flesh, the sensual, the and the senses. We do not live in the realm of the flesh. We live in the realm of the spirit. And you can only live in the spirit by faith. Now Jesus, he brought this to their remembrance in Luke chapter four, verse four, Matthew four four, same verse. That man shall not live. Oh, praise God by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds. Now listen to this. A lot of people live by the scriptures and they've got no life. The preceding word is when the Spirit of God comes upon the written word, it becomes the preceding word. You see, we've got the knowledge of so many things. You see, faith doesn't come by reading and reading the scriptures. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the Word of God. God must minister to you by his word. And all of what we'd have to do then is just learn the Bible off by heart. Just adjust ourselves according to what the word says, and then just live as a computer or robot or something else like that. God doesn't want us to live like that. God wants us to prove him. And if you knew how simple it was to live by faith, you'd stop trying. You'd start trusting. You'd stop wrestling and you'd start wrestling. You cannot have faith without action. Inasmuch as you can't have motion without movement. I became a friend to Abraham, and I maybe understood Abraham. And when I'm talking to you like this, there's a tremendous desire to go through the things. And I believe through Scripture on the things that God has shown me in connection with many stories. Stories of Ruth and Esther and also Abraham and people that were called to the kingdom for such a day as this, people that were called in their day and they proved their God. Now I can say this today. Nobody has been this way that we have been today. This is completely new. All of us and Derek will agree with me here, are completely dependent on the Lord for everything that he's doing today. There is a flow of the Holy Ghost like we've never experienced before. Remember this dramatic things spotted here and there. Those things are not as important as a people moving together to a clear objective. Now God is carefully laying his plan. I mean, when when Nehemiah cleared away the rubble and all the rest, there was a foundation already there. And I believe God has called ministries today to clear away the rubble, the foundation, clear away all the theological, um, you know, discrepancies and all these things that that have, um, come as a result of wrong teaching, the lack of faith, and the church when it went through that difficult period. Now God is clearing away the foundation so that we can build upon something that is so sound that it will not be moved. When Jesus said, I will build my church. Hallelujah. He said, I'm going to build my church, and the gates of hell are not going to prevail against it. They will not. They cannot. Now, if he's doing that, that means there must be a victory first over the whole world that you must have. It's essential that you know you've got the victory over the whole world because of what is coming against the church. Now, he didn't challenge just a little stronghold here and there. He's challenging the gates of hell. This is where we're going. We're going right to the gate. We're going to walk up and down and demonstrate there. I believe that that's the place to demonstrate where it's most effective. When I say Satan, there is nothing that you can do against us because God is for us. But you must realize that this world has already been conquered by one thing. And this is the victory that overcometh the whole world in one John five four. Even our faith, folks, we've got enough faith to overcome the whole world and listen to it and everything that Satan could possibly come against you with. If you can think of the lion's den, it has already been conquered. Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus. Think of the dungeon. It's been conquered. Think of every sickness. It's been conquered. And if you come back to the Lord Jesus Christ, you'll realize that when John was writing in one John two six, he said, you ought to walk even as he walked. Jesus was not all the day trying to get his needs met, trying to overcome sickness, trying to get out of things. Or he was just walking naturally through this world as if everything was in subjection to him. And it was. And he walked and talked like it was. He was in complete power and authority. Now this power and authority has come back to the church. It's a dramatic change of events here, the church willy nilly, it presenting the needs to the world and ready to run away from a rapture and apologize for being here. Well, that's change, folks. We're no longer defending ourselves from the devil. We're attacking him. We're advancing into his kingdom. Dare we? Will these feeble Jews build? Will they build? Hallelujah! You want to see the material they've got? What? When God builds, he builds the devil and his works out. And he builds himself in. Hallelujah! And it's devil proof. Every every bit of material that God has given us is devil proof. Now my faith allows me to see this. Abraham could see right ahead, and God has put no limits on faith. If thou canst believe, it's an act of will. If thou canst believe, it's an act of will. I will not believe. Who said that until I see Thomas? Of course it is. Bless his heart. And what happened? You say that to God, and he'll make sure you see. And when Thomas saw, he believed my Lord and my God, he gave him completely. He acknowledged something that you could only acknowledge when the doubt has been removed from your eyes and your spirit is made to soar and know the person that you're having to deal with, deal with. As in Hebrews, having to do with that person. Folks, we're dealing with God directly. Hallelujah! Oh, bless the Lord. If thou canst believe what is impossible to man. Jesus said, it's possible to God. God is not limited by man's limit. There's no limit on God whatsoever. And so when God then asks you to believe in him who is unlimited and he has put no limits on your believing, oh, folks, where are we going? All the way to glory. Hallelujah! Amen. And we're going to leave a little impression on the devil before we leave. He's the only person I know who's walking around with boot marks all over him. Hallelujah. He's under your feet, folks. He's defeated. Hallelujah! Oh! praise God. Praise God! When Paul tells us in the things that we were doing and eating in Romans fourteen said, whatsoever is not of faith is sin. And I believe today that many Christians are sinning against God by the things that they're doing, which are legitimate. They're not wrong, but they're not. There's no faith in them whatsoever. What is religion? I think the Oxford Dictionary defines it as habitual worship. I don't worship God out of habit. Praise God. But now we're in a very difficult position. Every minister now has to find the Lord. Every minister has to find his program from the Lord. And you don't get the program till after the meeting, which makes it very difficult. Hallelujah. Oh, it's a wonderful day, folks. When everybody has a chance. Everybody also has everything that God has provided available to them. Please believe that. Don't so many people want what makes you famous? I would love a fantastic gift to healing. Why? Because you want to see the sick cure? No, I want to be somebody. Folks, you've got to go the opposite way. And this is the day when Jesus is going to be manifested and have the preeminence. And God is going to be in. All in all, a lot of us don't minister in the gifts of the spirit simply because we don't believe it's God that's speaking to us. That's true. A lot of us hear the voice of God constantly, but we don't believe it's God's voice. A lot of us are working in the word of knowledge, in different aspects of the word of knowledge. But because we don't believe it's God, it's not revealed to us. A lot of us accept things naturally as they take place, but because we don't believe it's God, we don't get the blessing of it, nor do we get the thrill of serving God. Now, what I've said is so important. If you don't start at this simple place of receiving directly from God His voice. First of all, you've got to face a crisis. You cannot face it without faith in God. It's alright to know that God can, but will. Oh God will. Sorry. It's fine to know that God can do it. But will he do it? All right. You pray and you don't get healed. Now, do you believe there's something wrong with you? Or do you believe you haven't prayed the right way? Will God give you an answer? Yes he will. There is an answer to every situation, but only faith can receive that answer. I got the shock of my life when God spoke to me audibly. When God as God spoken to anybody here audibly. If he has, would you raise your hand, please? See how many people that is? It doesn't make you any more spiritual by God speaking to you audibly. But when God spoke to Samuel in one Samuel chapter three. He thought it was Eli. Now it's important that you are connected to God's voice at the very beginning of your spiritual life, because you're going to be taught directly from heaven by the Spirit of God. There's a teaching that comes through teachers, but there's a teaching also that doesn't make you independent of teachers, but makes you dependent on God first and second, on teachers who clarify what God's already told you and enlarge upon it. Now that's important. But you must learn to receive first, because there'll come a day when you won't be able to meet together. There'll come a day when you won't be able to carry your Bible around. And I believe that in many, many countries, you'll have a time now to study and to wait on God and to develop this spiritual ear, listening to God. Many husbands and wives have problems in their home because they can't hear what God has to say for their families and what God has to say to them. And my life changed from the day that I asked God a question and believe the answer. And I can remember most of the questions that I've asked him, because I've repeated them since in testimony I asked in simple faith. And the Bible is so simple. Ask and you shall receive. My children are not complicated. When they ask for something. It's when they know they shouldn't have it. They hum in haw and try to get around me. But when they know they're entitled to it, they ask directly. And when they want an answer, they ask a question and they get an answer. You must see how God deals with us, just like a father dealing with a household. That's where the word dispensation came from. The fact that God dealing over a period of time with his children. And I believe that God wants us to come back to the normal and to the natural, um, stability of a spiritual life and by living naturally, by faith and acknowledging God in every single thing. God will reveal himself where he is acknowledged. If you acknowledge him in your business, he will reveal what he's doing in your business. And if you are a businessman and you can get God in your business, you're going to have a fantastic day. If you are a housewife and you can get God into your housework, you will have a fantastic day. Has anybody ever laid hands on their car? Now, I'll say this before God, I have driven my car without petrol. I know there was no petrol in there. We shook it up. We did everything and I asked God to put petrol in there and he did. So now I know that for a fact. I've experienced that. And it's wonderful to know that in any emergency, when I've come to the end of myself, all I need to do is hear one word from God that I can invest my faith in. And that word then commits God to producing what he says. The moment I believe that word is my situation, and I believe the situation is not the last word, but God's Word is the last word. I am free from my situation. I don't live in the thing that is wrong. I live in God's supply or what God says I don't live in the problem. I live in the solution. And faith allows me to have the solution. And only when I've got the solution does God have the problem. Now you're going to live by every word that proceeds out of God's mouth. God speaks directly to your faith and to your need, right? Have you got a word from God for your family, for your children, something that you can put your faith in and trust God for when things start to go wrong? As far as faith is concerned, when everything's all wrong, it's all right. It's absolutely true. Don't tell me this world is all right. Well, why are we living in here? Because we believe that God's got a better world for us. And we live in that realm of the spirit, where God is bringing forth his fullness and his blessing and his way, his divine order. If you can see now that the whole church has to live by faith, not a few ministers, you're free from your circumstances. No longer have you got any limits on you. Because if thou canst believe, all things are possible, right, Lord? Speak. Samuel. Did you call me Eli? You may start off like that, making a few mistakes. Eli was wise enough to know that God was speaking to him. And when Samuel said, speak for thy servant heareth. From that moment onwards, there was never a question of him running to Eli again. Folks, when you believe that your contact, you've made contact with heaven and you're hearing the voice of God. Hallelujah! God's got a word for every situation. I could say that all night. Most people still wouldn't believe me. And he's got a word now for people with problems here. But God's got a word now. It's all right for me to pray for you and find an answer. And I found answers in the past for people. And they've asked me a question. And God's given me a direct answer. And I realize that when the Lord Jesus Christ answered his the questions that were asked, his wisdom came directly from His father, and so did the word that was in that wisdom. And he said, I say nothing but what my father tells me. He lived by listening. He lived by listening. And so he was so in tune with the father that he never went wrong. And everything was done naturally, supernaturally beautiful. And now the church has got all the equipment to receive the voice of God. And it's faith that allows you to believe it's God. And the moment you believe it's God, God reveals to you it is. And to this day, I have to believe it's God. Now there is a place in the spirit, in commitment, where you know it's God. There's a place when you're far away from God in fear and frustration, and you get mixed up in the problem where you don't know it's God. And a lot of people in the Old Testament and here God any longer. So he had to send a prophet along because they were not right with God. And God does this. Sometimes he sends a preacher along. But bless the Lord, if you want to hear the voice of the Lord, God's got a word for you. And if you're serving the Lord and you're saying to God, Lord, I have a particular problem. God must have somebody in this world that can hear from him and that can answer that problem. If you by faith find the place on your knees before God where you can receive the answer Once you've got that answer. Once you've got that word, you can rest completely. And God's got the problem of finding the answer. To put it this way. I went to a visit, a minister, feeling compelled to visit him and said, um, excuse me, do you have any very sick in your church? I've got to pray for somebody that's sick. And he gave me a list. He said, do I have somebody that's sick? I mean, if you want to go and see whether sick are, you generally have to go to the church and, well, they mostly go there because please don't encourage me. Can you imagine Jesus coming here tonight? Said, right now I'm going to pick out seventy. I want you to go forth to heal sick. Well, at first, Lord, would you heal the seventy? Nasty, nasty. Hurry, right. Go back to this person. And I felt that it wasn't right. And sometimes you've got to believe your feelings too. And I didn't get a witness. In other words, that it was right that I should pray for these people. And I said, isn't there somebody else? Somebody. And I couldn't get anything further. I said, just a moment. I said, where's your wife? He said, oh, she's, you know, very sick. She's at the moment just resting and convalescing somewhere out in the country. That's the person that God has sent me for. And this is most important that as you go to the person being sent, wait for the next instruction. Here they come. And this is what he said to me and I questioned it. He said, I want you to give my servant this word. I said, servant Lord. Yes, she's my servant. No revelation comes into that church except through her gift of prophecy. Her husband then teaches and enlarges on what she can reach in the spirit. So I want her back in the church. Isn't that amazing? So I went to her and I said, I've got a word from the Lord. And God gave me a word from the Scripture. And she said, just before you give it full agreement, let me pray. She prayed, Lord, prepare my heart now for what your servant has come. She submitted to me. She submitted to the Lord, opened her heart, and this is the truth before God. I gave her the word of the Lord, and a great lump underneath her heart disappeared. Immediately. She wrote, my family wife can verify this a letter to say that she was completely and utterly healed immediately. I've just seen her recently and that was years ago. Now you see, what I'm talking about. Here was a person who was serving the Lord and the devil wanted to stop her. Of course he did, because she could reach God. She had such a deep spiritual life. She loved the Lord and wait in the life, and she got things in the spirit that she didn't fully understand. And I've met people like this. And then all of a sudden, all sorts of verses rush to your mind when you hear them thinking, boy, that fits in there, that fits in there, and you've got a message immediately. That's how our husband got his messages, most of them. But she brought revelation to the church. He didn't teach it. She just brought it forth to the gift of prophecy. And I think it was wonderful. And he did the teaching. Now, the devil wanted to shut her up, but God had somebody that could hear. And just another case. And I can give you so many cases, but many of us are suffering today in the body of Christ because somebody can't hear from heaven to minister. It's by what every joint supplies. One man's ministry is no longer and is no longer, um, you know, adequate. Today. It's what each joint supplies. Tonight, when God said, I want you to speak about faith. And I waited for him to to say so. First of all, I wanted you to tell everyone that they've got faith. Now, I believe that everyone here, no person comes up to me and says, Brother Greenwood, I have no faith. Will you just pray for me? You know. Lord, I believe, help thou my unbelief. And Jesus didn't help his unbelief. He just used his believing. That's what the man prayed, Lord, I believe. Help thou my unbelief. He didn't help his unbelief. He just used his believing. Most people believe. Forget your unbelief. Use your believing. Use what you can believe and God will move you forward in the area of your faith. Now you may only believe in one direction. You can believe for God's provision. Well, move out in God's provision. Get as much as you can from God and give as God directs you, and then turn that faith in other directions and it'll operate other ministries. That's how I came in. I came into the gifts and the flow of the spirit by first learning to live by faith. And I could believe for my needs. Oh, I tell you, I have learned such a lot in this realm of the spirit. I've learned such a lot in the realm of provision, because I could hear from heaven for business. Men asked me to London, they're going to buy a whole block. I know nothing about business. Praise God, only his business. And when I got there, they said, we want your witness on whether or not we should buy this now because they because they recognized my ministry in the body of Christ. They wanted my ministry. In other words, they couldn't get from God whether it was his will or not. Oh, that's fair enough. There was a reason for it. So anyway, I looked around all these buildings and looked intelligent for a little while. And, you know, I thought, well, I better. And then I asked God, well, is it your will or isn't it? And he said, no, it's not my will, but it is a good business proposition. Thank you Lord. So I went up to them and I said, right. I said, the Lord has revealed to me that it's not his will to buy the buildings this block, but it is, he says, a good business proposition, and all of a sudden they were free in their spirit. They said, do you know something? We couldn't see God's will because it was such a good business proposition. And and I said, I, I couldn't see such a good business proposition for God's will. Well, you put them two together and you've got, in other words, ministry from limb to limb or from joint to joint. This is it. I was just as concerned that they should be in the will of God as this are in this thing as God was. I believed that because I am concerned about how things are done in the body of Christ, because eventually I get the benefit. Now we are hearing from heaven and we're making decisions and not mistakes. This is very important. Your business, everything, your home life, the things where Satan had rule over. Remember this when Satan fell from his position, there was no position for him. He fell out of divine order, so he brought disorder to every order. Satan is out of place, so give no place to Satan. God has not built him in, planned him in or anything else. He's planned him out. So you keep him out. Remember that he won a personal victory. He put Satan in his rightful place by saying it is written, and that's as far as Satan come now. God did not create Satan. He created a responsible being who became the devil. And please remember that he became the devil he chose. He made his choice against the choice of God. God only has one choice for you. It's the best. He doesn't have two choices. He has only one choice. Don't you understand? So God had to do something about everything in the way that he did, because God has made his choice now, since Satan won't wouldn't have the position that God has got for him, he has no other position. If you rebel against the will of God. God, it doesn't have a second will. Some people think he does. There's the perfect will of God I know revealed perfectly, but I believe every will of God is perfect. People say God permits things. God has no option because we won't yield to the perfect will of God. It's not the fact that God permits. And again, I don't come against the sovereignty of God, but I do believe that God is not sovereign above His Word. God is sovereign in His word. God's word is as sovereign as God Himself. And please don't ask God to change his mind. He's not going to when he's revealed it by his word. And don't say that you've got your sickness because of another reason. I believe all sickness comes from the devil, and God has only one remedy for sickness the fact if you turn to God in your sickness. Praise God, he'll restore you if you were a backslider, and also he will bless you. But that was not the purpose of God making you sick. And don't say God made you sick. God does not right across cross Calvary. Well, excuse me, I'm not going to use that all the time. I'm going to use sickness. His son did not pay that terrible price. And then God excused his son from paying the price and say, I'm going to make my people sick. God does not make Christians sick, nor does he make them to sin. Bless the Lord for that. That cleared me one time and freed me completely in my spirit. I believe God heals you, blesses you, keeps you from sin, and there's no temptation taken man. But such as is common to man and God is faithful. Who will not have you tempted above that? You can't blame God for anything. He's made a way of escape. Folks, we are living in a day of revelation of God revealing himself to us that if he does not change, I can have faith in him. If I know that God has not given me this sickness, and I know by the Word of God according to the atonement. We heard this morning that it's God's will, that I should be in health. I am free to say what God says. I am physically, materially and spiritually I can say to Satan, to the world and to myself, the position that God has put me in in Christ Jesus. If Jesus was sick, I'm entitled to be sick. If Jesus sinned, I'm entitled to be sin, because that's the life that I've got. Hallelujah! I've put on the new man who is created after God in true holiness and righteousness. Or this is a wonderful day of faith, invested in what God says. You are what God says you've gotten. Folks, if you want to be free, that's the way to be free. You've got to come back to the old book and ask God to open it up and reveal to you personally where you stand with him. Oh, hallelujah. Don't you think it's good? I know you're all looking shocked, but don't you think it's. See, I've got so many Christians waiting for God to do something beyond what he's already said he will do. Now you just. You take what God says, find a place in God where it becomes a reality, and he'll certainly stand by his word. Um, it just shall live by every word. Seeds out of the mouth of God and every word that comes from God brings you back to God. Ha ha! Hallelujah! Isn't it wonderful to sow something? And knowing that that word that you sow is going to bring the person back to the lovely person you know, bring him back to the joy and the love and the peace. Remember when the prodigal son returned? His motives weren't very good. He didn't like the pigs. He'd rather be at home. It'd be far better off in his father's house. But his father treated him entirely different. His father opened his arms to him and brought him in to a banqueting feast. He came home fervently minded as we have returned. Servant minded. But God only has sons, and God treats us as sons. And so he gives us the privilege of sons. And now are we the sons of God? Oh, Hallelujah! Isn't it wonderful? Hallelujah! Now are we the sons of God? And think what God has given you to do. You've got the whole world in front of you. Hallelujah! And if God be for you, who can be against you? You've got a person in you, and greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. You've already got the answer. And you have access to the power to the to everything that you need and the authority. And I praise God today that we've got the power and we've got the authority. The power is in the Holy Ghost. The authority is in the name of Jesus. There's a difference between power and authority. And I have a very simple illustration which I love giving for the farmers that are present. This actually happened, as far as I know, in a certain country at a certain time. A government official approached this farmer who was a very independent farmer, and he said to this farmer, he said, I want to survey that piece of land there. Farmer said, you're not surveying that piece of land. That's my piece of land. Government surveyor said, I have authority to do so. He said, it's my land and you're not setting one foot on my land. I know my rights. Took out his authority. Spelling demons is not just exactly what he took out. His authority, you see, signed by the government. In other words, I have authority to survey this land. The farmer had to step aside, so he went into this field. Farmer went round the other side of the field, opened the gate and let a bull into the field. The bull took one look at the surveyor and decided he would like to meet him about thirty miles an hour, and at this point the farmer was very helpful. He shouted out as loud as he could show him your authority. Here's a clear example of power and authority. The farmer. Sorry the surveyor had the authority, but the bull had the power. Now, I believe we have both translated that he's given us power over the power, all the power of the enemy. He's given us authority over all the devil's ability. And I believe that God has given us this authority. And I take it today I will not be spoken to by demons or God at by them in people or outside of people or anywhere else. I will not be approached by Satan because he has nothing good to say to me. I believe that because I am in the company of the Lord, and our fellowship is such that there isn't much time for Satan to speak to me anyway, because.
