Happy Memorial Day to everyone.

Hope you're having a great day.

Good to be with you.

Let's get after it.

From the gym to the screen, yeah,

we cover it all.

Midday motivation every time you press

call.

Lunch with the Pliesdale.

Cowboy bring the heat.

Crossfit, boobies, music on repeat.

Half hour hustle, yeah,

we building that brand.

Grab a plate, tune in now,

you part of the fam.

It's lunch time!

What is going on, everybody?

Hope you are having a great Memorial Day

weekend.

I know I did.

It's been full of anniversary celebrations

and hanging out and just kind of relaxing,

getting caught up on some stuff and still

have a full day in which to get

a lot of that done.

So with that,

hope you're having a great day.

Can't wait to talk to you all.

Let's get into it a little bit.

So I know the cowboy isn't here,

but he's here in spirit.

And hold on before we get to that.

John asked me a question.

John Jenkins says morning said last night

you were headed to syndicate.

When is the best time of the day

to come find you and just say hi

and thank you for the shows.

Well, I'm going to be there Friday,

Saturday, and Sunday,

so I'll be available all those days.

In the past,

I would generally bury myself in the media

room,

try to get content from the athletes.

I'm going to try out some new stuff

this year.

And I'm going to pace myself a little

bit.

So I'm going to try to be out

and about a lot more than I used

to be in the past.

So I'll try to be around for people.

You can come find me any of those

days.

But I will be in the media pits

for some of it.

I'll probably be in the athlete lounge for

some of it,

and I'm going to try to get out

and about into Vendor Village,

into the whole scene,

and maybe even the stands for a little

bit.

So just try to find me,

hook up with me,

and I'm going to try to go live

from the Syndicate Crown on Friday because

we're heading down.

Most of the way Thursday night.

And then we're going to finish up the

drive Friday morning.

And, yeah.

And then check in,

get all of our credentials and all that

stuff.

So, yeah, should be fun.

Can't wait to meet anybody who's there.

Ed puts it great.

John,

look for the guy with the jazzy hands.

I'll just be doing this all day.

Uh, Kenneth, the lab says,

just start yelling lunchtime and see what

happens.

Yeah.

That's a good thing too.

Uh, and a shoop says,

this is my third year at syndicate.

Hope to meet you there.

Yeah.

Come find me.

Come find me.

I would love to meet all of y'all.

So with that, um,

Corey sent me this thing on Instagram and

it just sparked a memory for me.

So I'm going to play it for you.

There was a guy back part of CrossFit

media in the early days,

and this is going to introduce you to

him and kind of the way that he

went about media.

And I loved it so much.

And I miss him in the CrossFit media.

He worked for CrossFit and I'm going to

share my screen now.

and let you guys see if you remember

who this guy is.

Nothing wasn't better back in the days.

I get that.

But I do like one eleven games.

Maybe it's not my favorite games.

However,

one person I do miss is this dude

up here, Ben Hollinghouse.

I thought he was hilarious.

Probably the funniest dude or dude for

that matter that's ever held a microphone

in front of the faces of the athletes.

I sort of miss him.

If you haven't seen some of the stuff

he did, go back and watch it.

You can probably find it online.

Just wear some floaties or something.

We're here with Julie Fouché.

She didn't bother to dress up for the

interview.

Was there any chafing involved?

Not that I noticed.

Do you think the fact that you did

it faster than the other athletes helped

you win this event?

Did you see any starfish?

No, I caught a couple stingrays.

I stung them,

so they got out of the way.

Shit on moves, boss.

Yeah.

Looks like,

I don't know if Becky was doing the

workout or she was playing sand

volleyball.

I actually saw a jellyfish.

You did?

I skimmed it with my hand.

I thought I was going to have to

take a timeout, but it didn't bite me.

Did you push it towards one of the

other athletes?

Tell us about the sand.

You seem to like it.

You've got it all over you.

I do.

I do.

And I run on it all the time

in Omaha, Nebraska.

Because of all the beaches in Nebraska.

What's your plan going into the next

event?

Just hang on for that L-sit.

What letter sit would you like to do?

An I. Okay.

And I sit?

Okay, yeah, is your head the dot?

Yes.

I mean,

do you think we're really supposed to walk

on our hands?

I mean, we were made with legs.

What if they did, like, a max, like,

leg walk?

You kind of throw like a girl.

What?

No, I don't.

I mean, you are a girl, so.

And to be honest,

CrossFit girls are pretty tough.

They're usually better than the guys,

so it's actually kind of a compliment.

Do you ever mean mug the other athletes?

No.

Your game face, kind of intimidated.

I don't have a game face.

Look at me.

I'm smiling all the time.

Tell me your two favorite Sesame Street

characters.

Oscar the Grouch, number one,

and Cookie Monster, number two.

So that gives you a good taste of

what Ben was like back in the day.

I really miss his humor with the

interviews.

He brought a levity to everything,

and I think he's sorely missed.

I think we need more of that,

especially with the way sports media

overall is going.

with alternative broadcasts,

not taking everything so seriously,

I think bringing someone like that back

into the fold is actually what CrossFit

needs more of today.

And maybe we forgot about all of those

people who helped to make it what it

was.

I, you know, I just,

I miss him dearly.

And I do have a story,

but I'm going to,

Uh,

Helson says talking about CrossFit media

in the early days,

are we sure Armand Hammer is not CrossFit?

Uh, Helson, I, I, I don't know.

That's a great guess.

He knows so much,

so much about the history of CrossFit and

Armand is like the, the old historian of,

Little do people know that guy is

CrossFat.

Everybody's trying to figure out who

CrossFat is.

Mark Phillips,

current athletes can't name Sesame Street

characters.

Ed says, okay, fine, Scott.

I'll be that guy for Clydesdale team at

Syndicate.

There you go.

We need to bring it back.

We need to bring it back.

I wish I was that quick-witted.

I think I can be funny at times.

I don't know if I could do it

in a quick spot like he has been

doing or like he used to do.

Man, if I could,

that'd be something to dive into and bring

back that would be awesome.

Uh,

Wayne says same with the athletes

responses were candid and fun,

not so calculated like many today,

but I think it's because he caught them

off guard in the moment.

And, and because of that,

their defenses came down and then they

just leaned into it.

So, um, anyway,

I have a really funny story about Ben,

um,

I was volunteering at the twenty fourteen

regionals Central East in Cincinnati and I

was running the check in area where media

came in or CrossFit officials came in and

I just had to check and make sure

that people were on the list.

very old school, no computer,

literally a clipboard with a list of

names.

And I had to check and make sure

that they, to come in that entrance,

they were on that list.

Well,

Kiki Dixon came in through that door

because she was being the floor announcer

for the weekend.

Ben comes in right after her.

Kiki comes up and she gives me her

name and she's not on the list.

I am fairly new to kind of the

sport and broadcast of CrossFit at this

time.

And I didn't know who Kiki was.

And her name wasn't on the list.

And so I'm like, I'm sorry,

you can't come in.

Your name's not on the list.

And she got a little feisty and said,

you don't know who I am?

And I'm like, I'm sorry, I don't.

And I was strictly told that if you're

not on the list,

you can't come in this door.

And while I'm having this conversation

with Kiki, Ben is behind her.

saying,

my name better be on that damn list.

And he's throwing stuff on the ground.

And he's like throwing a tantrum about his

name better be on that list or there's

going to be hell to pay.

He's going to come in there all while

Kiki's trying to be serious about her

tantrum.

But because Ben is going off,

it's completely diffused the situation.

And it's made kind of like this funny

spectacle.

where one of the big,

what they call the black shirts,

like the head honchos of those events came

over and said,

it was an oversight on our part.

Kiki should have been on the list.

She can come in through this door.

And even when after that happened,

Ben is still throwing stuff and like,

I better be on that list.

I am CrossFit media.

I need to be on that list.

And he kept just doing it.

And the whole time I'm howling.

I can't even,

my eyes are so teared up.

I can't even look on the list to

see if he's even on there or not.

But I miss that dude tremendously.

He sat down with us for lunch.

I got him and Bill Grundler ate lunch

with me that first ever year I

volunteered.

And they were so much fun and so

relaxed and so cool.

And I truly, sincerely miss this dude.

And I think that's the kind of guy

we need to be

to have back in the sport doing things

like this.

Man,

I wish I could figure all that out

and somehow bring that back because I

think it would make, one,

make some great content.

Two,

because he was so over the top with

these interviews,

and you can see in the picture,

he was doing this on ESPN.

All of this was in an ESPN polo

with an ESPN mic doing all that stuff.

And yeah, sorely, sorely miss that dude.

Ortega says,

that's what I tell people when they don't

let me into different areas.

Do you know who I am?

Yeah.

It actually made me remember an old Tiger

Woods story where he was trying to get

into a place, wasn't on the list,

and said, don't you know who I am?

I'm Tiger Woods.

And the person came back and said,

I don't care if you're the Lion King.

You're not on the list.

Kenneth DeLapp said, Rolo before Rolo.

Yeah,

this guy didn't do like social media

content.

Like it was all saved for like CrossFit

media.

He made videos.

He did interviews.

He did a ton of content back in

the day that was so cool.

So, so fun.

So effervescent.

It just was light and didn't take

everything so damn seriously all the time.

So.

Anyway, just a good memory.

Thanking the cowboy for sending that to me

this morning.

So, man,

the weather here keeps changing so much.

Allergies are so bad.

My throat is getting so dry doing these

shows.

I think I need to put a humidifier

down here or something.

Anyway.

I did want to talk a little bit

about the weekend.

I've watched some content.

I want to say, like,

I think the main storyline from the

weekend that's getting overlooked is Ellie

and Bailey.

Ellie and Bailey,

after going through so much,

Ellie with the back injury,

Bailey with the heart stuff,

and if anybody can sympathize with Bailey,

it's me.

When your heart's not working right,

you just don't feel good a lot of

the time, a lot of the time.

And for him a year later to come

in, finish top three,

punch his ticket to the CrossFit Games,

I think that's an amazing story.

And I know he has his own YouTube

stuff,

and I hope that he documents this well,

because I think it's one of the best

comeback stories we've seen in CrossFit in

some time.

And on the flip side, you have Ellie,

who, like,

I was at those games that she was

hurt,

and she looked like a shell of herself

fighting through that back injury.

And right after that,

she had to take a step away.

She had to run,

do triathlons and run different events and

do high rocks and all of that kind

of stuff.

The fight she had to give to make

it all the way back to here and

now get to go to the CrossFit Games

is nothing short of miraculous.

And I think it's getting lost in the

shuffle of it all because Justin didn't

make it.

Let's be honest.

Justin has so many more attempts to make

it to the games.

Not so many more.

He has online.

He's been doing well online all year.

Why wouldn't that be a valid opportunity

for him?

Once he gets back or maybe he does

it over there.

Carolyn kind of proposed that last night.

I think that the true drama was these

two people that were down and out coming

like true Rocky stories coming back from

basically questioning whether they would

ever be able to compete again to

where they're now going back to the games.

And I see Wayne saying it would make

a great road to the games.

And Ortega is kind of right.

The only way it makes sense as a

story is if he had footage through that

struggle and then to the games.

Same with Ellie.

Ellie.

If there was footage,

like we have footage from the games of

her trying to battle through that back

injury before she withdrew.

But if you had footage of her over

the last couple years fighting through

that, making her back stronger,

figuring out what to do,

all of that stuff,

it would make a great,

great story if we had the footage from

that.

It'd be interesting to know if like

Justin's media guy was doing something

like that.

Because it'd be awesome to see that.

And I know Bailey was starting to put

out stuff when he found out about his

heart condition.

If he did some footage over that time

and had someone put that together as a

documentary,

that would be really cool to watch.

Really cool to watch.

But I think those are the best stories

from the weekend, the two of them.

followed closely by hannah black who some

would argue two years ago was a

one-dimensional strong athlete who had a

lot of holes and i know that the

competition in africa wasn't the best

competition in the world but she didn't

finish any lower than fourth nine events

no lower than fourth

when every one of her competitors had a

bad finish at some point during the

weekend she did not how she'll finish at

the games i don't know but knowing that

she is closing the gap on those holes

and she does have a couple home runs

it makes her like a fun watch to

see what the hell she's going to do

at the games

i got to interview her on her first

semi-final first event it was that sled

drag on the piece of paper with the

run and all that and she had won

her heat and i interviewed her right after

After that,

we actually had her on the show a

couple times.

She's such a fun, nice, polite girl.

But she's funny too.

She's really funny.

And I think that she could be a

superstar in the future of this space if

she keeps putting in this work.

Lupe says,

Ellie's comeback is proof in the pudding

that CrossFit and repeated doing it isn't

the magic bullet people blindly say, blah,

blah, time and modal domains, blah, blah,

think it is.

I think you cannot apply the theory of

CrossFit on a elite level athlete, right?

Elite level athletes in every sport do it

at a level that makes it more risky

and more chance of injury.

The average CrossFitter going to the gym,

if they do the workouts with smarts and

are...

strategic about it and do their one day

a week their one hour a day five

days a week i think you're going to

be fine it's only when we let our

egos get in the way and we push

ourselves beyond the limit uh repeated

times do we put ourselves out there for

um a risk of injury and all the

times i got injured it was away from

the crossfit gym

Elite level CrossFit athlete is not for

health.

Agreed.

One hundred percent.

Elite level football is not for health,

but going out and throwing the football

around with your kids can add to your

health.

What pro athletes and elite athletes do is

extreme.

And we have to remember that.

We can't apply what they do to what

we do every day in the gym.

That's just nonsense.

But you know what is not nonsense?

Thirdsy.

Because today,

they're giving away ten percent of all

proceeds to ValorFit to bring

funding and recognition to veterans who

are suffering with depression.

Twenty-one veterans die from suicide every

single day.

And Thirdsy is donating to ValorFit,

where it helps create communities to bring

people in and give them a community to

come back to.

So order your Thirdsy today.

Ten percent will go to ValorFit of your

order.

And don't forget to use code Jazzy at

checkout.

That gets you fifteen percent off your

order.

Don't forget Thirdsy.com backslash Jazzy

for fifteen percent off your order.

Love, love ValorFit.

Yeah, Ortega.

I know you're a vet.

A lot of my friends are vets.

And it's cool what Thirdsy's doing by

supporting them through ValorFit.

So.

Kipping it real,

Tyson Bajent didn't even understand or

comprehend the elite athletes doing

multiple Metcons in a day in Hiller's new

video.

Yeah, I think I agree.

Tyson uses CrossFit to stay in shape for

football.

And so he's not doing eight sessions a

day, six sessions a day,

six hours a day.

But ask him how many hours a day

he spends on football.

I think that's where the connection could

be because I've heard him say like during

training camp,

he goes to the facility at like six,

seven in the morning and he leaves at

like seven, eight o'clock at night.

So he does understand the commitment it

takes to be an elite athlete.

So anyway, Lupe says,

forgot to say it last night,

but Tyson also mentioned he stays away

from CrossFit during the season.

What we were talking about last night was

the girls unfiltered talking about not

doing other sports while they are now

competing in CrossFit.

I was making the argument that I think

that that is bad for the body,

bad for the mind, bad for the soul.

My example of Tyson wasn't doing CrossFit

during football season,

but playing hoops or...

doing other fitness like activities,

I think you have to get a,

I think you have to get away from

your job and do other things to get

your mind off of that,

to help you mentally get through, um,

whatever it is you're trying to accomplish

whether it be crossfit football soccer

golf whatever you have to take steps away

from that at times just to clear the

mind clear the soul and get be able

to give a hundred percent when you come

back to it yeah um the other the

last thing i really wanted to address

And I know people in the comments come

after me because of my thoughts on the

broadcast and different things like that.

And Jamie and I have argued for a

very long time that the broadcast shows

the leader most of the time

does a one shot on that leader so

you can't really see what's going on.

And then once they finish,

there's footage of them rolling around on

the floor or celebrating or doing whatever

while other things are going on on the

floor.

I was watching F-One yesterday.

And Kimi Antonelli was winning the race,

and he was battling with his teammate,

George Russell.

George Russell's car died during the race,

so Kimi Antonelli is in the lead,

and he's in the lead by like, fifteen,

twenty seconds, which in F-One is a mile.

He was so far in the lead,

the broadcast didn't stop showing him

because the fights for place were

happening at four or five and two, three.

And so the broadcast completely shift

focus to those people fighting for

positions and fighting for points.

Because at one point,

unless his car died on him,

it was inevitable that Kimmy was going to

win the race.

So I found it very refreshing that F-One

went to the people behind because the race

was more dramatic at that.

And they focused their attention where the

races were back in the lineup and not

so much the leader because it was

inevitable, right?

So why watch the same guy drive around

the track over and over again with nobody

around him when you can go back in

and watch some head-dead races lit back in

the race?

CrossFit never does that.

Or the media teams that cover,

they always stick with the leader,

even if it becomes inevitable.

And I'm not saying completely forget about

the leader.

But you have other cameras around.

Show some other stuff.

I think that's a piece that's missing.

I think another piece that's missing on

the CrossFit side is WFP came up with

a finish line cam,

just like the NFL has an end zone

cam, like in the pylon,

right at the line.

And that way,

you have that thing running all the time.

So if there's a close race at the

finish line, you not only can show that,

you can show instant replays of that,

of them crossing the line to see who

beat who.

Shanna says,

it's so much fun playing other sports

sometimes, but you do have to be careful.

Yeah,

I'm not saying throw caution to the wind.

And if you heard me last night,

I said that you don't want to be

Ricky Garrard jumping a mountain bike off

of a ramp.

Like that was beyond the realm of safety.

But playing a pickup game of basketball

where you and the people around you know

that you're trying not to get hurt,

you're just there to have fun,

I think is okay.

Um, Kenneth Dilap,

I agree with your thoughts,

but I still like to trigger you.

Of course.

Um, Kenneth says,

you think a big part is due to

the majority of comps outsourcing the

coverage can or should HQ have a homegrown

coverage team?

I think HQ learned that a home grown

coverage team was too expensive.

And that's where we are in this world

of CrossFit.

Everything is about the bottom line,

the bottom dollar.

And I think that's what a lot of

their decisions are based on.

Avera says,

I cannot believe how much I have enjoyed

watching Mayhem, French Throwdown,

and Torian this year.

All the bitching about how screwed up the

season is.

Not from where I sit as a fan

of competitive fitness.

So I still think that this season is

screwed up and doesn't make a lot of

sense.

And I'm not going to back off that

statement.

It doesn't mean that I don't enjoy

watching the events.

I enjoy them for what they are.

But could you imagine the drama if Justin

got to pick one place and it was

Torian and he didn't get his ticket and

he's not going to the games?

The content around that,

the story around that would be wild.

Wild.

And those stories happened all the time.

And then the next year you have the

redemption story.

Can they come back?

Can they make it?

It just creates a dramatic storyline that

makes sense.

Now you have...

Emily Rolfe going to three different

events.

You have Olivia Kerstetter going to two

different events.

You have Justin with a last chance at

the online semifinal.

How dramatic is that?

Um, Shanna says,

how hard is it hard to,

too costly to have a split screen one

on the main floor and a small one

showing individual people i know matt

souza pulled it off and i know they

don't have the budget of like hamilton

roads so i think it's doable um but

i don't i don't think torian ever used

a split screen the entire weekend uh jody

wants to know do i think justin will

go to the games

Yes.

I think he'll be there to cheer on

Ellie.

No, I'm just kidding.

I do think he's going to qualify through

the online semifinal.

So many of the big names have qualified.

There's, what,

seven spots available at the online?

And Roman and Dallin and Jason and...

James and all those people have already

qualified.

So they're out of the mix for the

online semifinal.

So I think he has a very good

shot at making it at the online semifinal.

LMAO.

Damn, Scott.

I know it was right there.

I opened the show with,

we need to bring more levity and more

funny.

And so there it is.

There it is.

Justin still does not have tickets to the

game.

Online does not guarantee anything.

I know,

but when you take away all the people

who have already qualified and how well

Justin did online in quarters and the

open, I think he's going to be fine.

Maybe he won't.

Maybe he won't, but who knows?

Yeah,

the main problem with the season is people

being allowed to compete how many times

they want.

Like Kyra punched her ticket on her third

attempt.

Yeah, I do think that's a problem.

I think it takes away storylines.

It doesn't mean that we're not getting the

fittest to the games.

It doesn't mean that people that don't

deserve it are making it to the games.

What I do know is it's not as

dramatic and the storylines are not there.

AstroServe,

Torian didn't even have an insert for Time

to Beat.

They're a sports broadcast where they even

have a live leaderboard going while the

events are going.

Yeah,

Torian didn't have any of the graphics.

Now,

I've been told that those graphics are

extremely, extremely expensive.

But French Throwdown did it better than

anybody.

They had to work out above the

leaderboard.

They had the leaderboard.

And then the leaderboard filled down the

side as people finished.

I cannot say enough good things about the

broadcast at French Throwdown.

For a twenty lane floor,

they did a really nice job.

But directing where the cameras go on a

twenty lane floor had to be

had to be so crazy.

I can't even imagine.

If he doesn't,

then he doesn't deserve to be there.

Pretty clear cut.

Yeah, Mark, you sound like...

Drago in Rocky if he doesn't if he

dies he dies Yes graphics like that are

expensive

So Scott,

you believe if athletes can only compete

at one live semifinal event,

the current format is solid.

I don't understand the question and I

don't understand why both can't.

I do not like the current season

structure.

It's what we have.

It's what is in front of the athletes.

It's what they get to do,

and they are able to do whatever they

want.

And I can still watch and enjoy it

for what it is.

Do I like it?

No.

I think you should get one shot.

That is what every other sport does.

This...

We have to make everybody happy is not

good for drama in sports.

For the fittest, it's very low stakes,

and that's a bad sports story.

You're right.

I think what's happening now is the

athletes are going for the experiences

because it's open to go to multiple

locations.

Why not experience what you can

experience?

But I don't think that that brings drama

to the spectator watching.

It's great for them to be able to

go here, go there.

If I'm Kyra,

I got to go to Mayhem,

compete at Mayhem's gym.

I got to go out west.

I got to compete in the Del Mar

fairgrounds.

And then I got to go to Australia.

I've had an amazing experience.

But what does that do for the drama

for the spectator?

I don't think it does a whole lot.

Unless you're a massive Kyra fan who gets

to see her compete three times.

Got to make money to keep the sport

around?

I don't understand.

Kenneth,

I think that by making the storyline of

the season more dramatic brings more eyes

to the table,

and that's how you make more money.

Right now, there's no drama anymore.

There are no stakes.

Now,

as we get to the end of the

semifinals and there's no alternative,

it's getting more and more dramatic.

But the first few we've had aren't that

dramatic.

Joseph Ramirez says that's the way you

should bring back regionals.

You don't qualify in your region.

There's always next year.

See,

that's kind of like what I grew up

with in sports.

You're in a division.

You compete in that division.

And either you win and move on to

the playoffs or you get a wild card

to the playoffs.

And then you get one shot from that

spot forward.

That's it.

Avera says,

so athletes can compete at only one

semifinal event and either eliminate

online semifinal or reduce number of

online spots to one or two.

That has been my proposal.

And my man, Justin Kotler,

happy anniversary, brother.

Current season structure is an

abomination.

Can't blame the athletes as CrossFit

created and perpetuated this mess.

It is.

It is an abomination.

I felt like at one point they were

moving in a direction,

like we've talked about, Justin,

of what WFP is doing with a point

system.

You either have to do one and done

or a point system, not both.

We are some bastardized thing in the

middle at this point.

And it's half-assed and it's...

Again,

I enjoy watching the athletes compete,

so I'm going to watch anyway,

but you're never going to bring in casual

fans doing that.

The problem with regionals is simple,

according to Castro, too expensive.

you can still use third-party event

coordinators to put on events.

And if there's higher stakes at those

events, more people will come.

You're actually helping the event

coordinators by making it a higher stakes

event.

Right now,

we all are just meh about going to

the events because they're going to

compete here,

they're going to compete there.

Who knows where they're going to punch

their ticket?

They're competing at six different events.

Make it high stakes.

The only place you're going to get to

see Alex Kazan is at this event.

So you better go now or you're going

to have to go to the games.

Okay.

Who will be the Justin story of the

coming weekend?

Someone big will miss out.

Again, Wayne,

I think we're making too big of a

deal out of Justin not making it because

he has another shot.

The true storyline is Bailey Martin coming

back and Ellie coming back and Hannah

Black putting in the work to get more

well-rounded.

Justin only becomes a storyline if he

fails to get one of the seven spots

online.

That's the problem.

Just Vermeer,

should Ellie have been there in the first

place?

I can't say should or should not because

the way this season is structured,

she followed the rules as they were

written.

She did what she needed to do.

So in this season format, she was invited,

she got to participate,

and she punched her ticket.

Um, Accu black dragon.

The fact is this doesn't matter what

happens this year or next or the next,

because every year the structure changes.

It's crazy how the athletes put up with

this year after year.

They don't have another shot.

They don't have another option.

Nobody has stepped up.

Nobody has stepped up to be better than

this.

um it's a strange sport still imagine

seeing lebron and messi only two times per

season uh justin says he could have two

more shots if he wanted i guarantee if

he wanted he could fly back and do

norcal this upcoming weekend and then also

do online semis it's wild

Yeah,

I just think logistics are preventing him

from that, not the invite from NorCal.

So the whole based off quarterfinal scores

sort of didn't end up being completely

true.

No.

No.

No,

the minute it didn't become true the

minute they invited people to the first

few semifinals before the quarterfinals

even happened.

Wayne says that would be a really bad

look for whichever event allowed it.

It's been allowed the whole season, Wayne.

It's been allowed the whole season.

People came in and got invites based on

last year, not this year.

The invites are happening.

What makes a difference if it happens at

the end of the season or the beginning

of the season?

It's still an invite based on nothing you

did this year.

And Justin's right.

By inviting someone,

you get that major draw last minute for

people to come in and helps their ticket

sales.

Kipping says,

I promise you there are three events right

now calling Justin's phone and I know

confirmed one of them.

It's going to be a wild week.

We got three events this weekend.

We got NorCal.

We got Syndicate Crown.

And we got the Mad Fitness Festival.

NorCal's getting two tickets.

Syndicate's getting three.

I think Mad is getting... I don't know.

Probably at least two.

All three have pretty stacked fields.

It's the last live weekend to get a

ticket.

And then it goes to the online semis.

And I'm with Shannon on this one.

I just want to have the same season

structure from year to year,

but not this one.

And everybody's saying three at mad.

That's what I thought it was.

But then I held my tongue for a

second because I didn't know a hundred

percent.

But with that,

it's been a great discussion, guys.

I'm going to get back to my Memorial

Day festivities of cleaning out my garage

and organizing it.

Hope you guys have a great rest of

your day.

Vera says, but Scott,

if you take all the top athletes,

I wonder how many actually competed in

more than one in-person event.

I suspect most only competed in one live

event.

I think you'd be surprised if you counted

it up.

With that,

hope you guys have a great rest your

day.

Happy Memorial Day.

Don't forget why we're here,

who sacrificed for us to be here,

and go do your stuff now.

With that, have a great rest your day.

See you soon.

Bye, guys.

You wouldn't wait to get to the editing

room to jazz me up.

I'm already jazzy.
