Archetype Strategy Calls: Behind the Scenes
===
[00:00:00] Today, I wanna pull back the curtain a little bit on something I've been doing for the past couple of months. I've been talking about them on the podcast for the past few weeks as well. Archetype strategy calls. I'm guessing a lot of you listening have either taken the free assessment or attended one of my workshops on the archetypes that I was giving earlier in the fall, or maybe you were at a keynote where I introduced this archetype framework.
[00:00:24] You've discovered your primary archetype. If you've done any of these activities, and hopefully you're nodding along when you read the results or hear me describe some of the patterns or talk about the The groupings. The frequencies we talked about last week. Maybe you felt seen for the first time in a while.
[00:00:39] Maybe something clicked when I walked through the different archetypes and how they show up, or if you listened to one of the dedicated episodes on them. But then you get home, you look at your business, you are not quite sure what to do with that information, and I get it. The free assessment gives you some self-awareness.
[00:00:55] It gets you moving, gives You attended one of those workshops. It may have given you some deeper context or [00:01:00] understanding on that unique blend of your archetypes as far as how you scored specifically on the test. But it doesn't give you strategy, and it doesn't show you exactly how that unique blend of archetypes might work together for you with the business you are building, maybe what those percentages mean for your business, what you should do first, or how to build something that really fits the way you're wired.
[00:01:22] But that is what happens on one of these archetype strategy calls. So today I'm gonna take you behind the scenes on some of these conversations. I'm gonna share some real breakthrough moments from recent calls. All anonymized, of course, so you can see what becomes possible when you move from simple self-awareness into strategic decision making when you go from understanding these archetypes and how the framework works to actually mapping it out and getting moving in your specific s.
[00:01:48] So let's talk about the difference between the assessment and the call. I wanna be really clear about what you get from each, the free assessment at macyrobison.com/quiz. It gives you your primary [00:02:00] archetype. It tells you right at the top of the page, and then as you scroll down, it tells you more about that score.
[00:02:05] It's your highest score. It's your dominant pattern. It gives you some things to watch out for, some things to pay attention to. It gives you one thing you can start doing right now to get moving. It's almost like I'm handing you a compass and telling you to start walking in that direction, and that really is valuable and it's something you can take action on with that new self-awareness.
[00:02:26] But on an archetype strategy call, we go much deeper.
[00:02:30] First you receive an expanded archetype report. I look at the raw scores behind the scenes, and I take your top three. Categories, your top three archetypes and the percentages that you got, the raw percentages you got for each of those archetypes and run an expanded analysis. I will sometimes pull in the fourth, the fifth, the sixth.
[00:02:49] It depends on how close those scores cluster together because not only is the amount, the percentage amount in the raw scores that you get. That matters. That is [00:03:00] significant, but how close they're clustered together also matters. It's not just background noise. There's a consistent behavioral pattern that's influencing and and revealing how you express yourself, how you guide transformation, how you enroll people in your ideas, and we can apply that to how you can specifically build your thought leadership platform your business.
[00:03:22] So we look at the percentages together. We look at the gaps between the scores, we look at how they work together. 'cause there really is a big difference if wisdom writer is your primary archetype. If I have two wisdom writers that I'm talking to and one wisdom writer has 84% as their top archetype, and the other one has 45% with three other archetypes, clustered really closely, that blend is completely different and creates your unique positioning.
[00:03:47] As far as what you should be thinking about, what activities you should be paying attention to, we map all of that out together and talk that through and answer any questions you might have. We spend 60 minutes unpacking what all of this means for your specific business, [00:04:00] your specific background, your specific situation, the challenges you're facing, what the resistance patterns might be, and then when that call is over, I create a personalized 30 day plan based on everything we uncovered in the call.
[00:04:12] Based on some questions you answer before we get on the call and the actual expanded analysis itself. So you'll receive that in a couple days after our time together and we'll know exactly where to start, what to focus on next. You will have what you need to get moving. So let me share some real examples of what that actually looks like.
[00:04:30] Speaking of wisdom, writers with high scores, I did have a call recently with someone who scored over 80% as a wisdom writer that is extraordinarily high for context. Most people's primary archetype, when I look at the raw scores, it falls somewhere between 40 and 50%. So if you're in the seventies, if you're in the eighties, that archetype, that way of expressing yourself is dominant in how you think and how you come up with ideas.
[00:04:56] This client also had research innovator and digital [00:05:00] architect both scoring pretty high, and then there was nothing else. Like everything else was either a zero or it was a really low percentage. And what came up in the call is she had been really working hard for months and kind of beating herself up because she couldn't show up on LinkedIn to just start posting.
[00:05:18] Everyone was telling her to be more visible, turn the camera on, talk post more frequently. She was stuck. So when we looked at that expanded report together, it really clicked. She's not stuck 'cause she doesn't wanna be seen. She was stuck 'cause she was really working against her wiring wisdom writer.
[00:05:34] Like over 80% is not just a top score. She needs time to process. She needs to write things down to know what she really believes. There is depth and nuance, not just surface level takes, and then that needs to go out in written format. And so with research innovator, like research needs to be done, that was high.
[00:05:54] And then digital learning architect, that was high, that was in the forties. She's naturally wired to not only write. [00:06:00] But to synthesize really complex information and create a comprehensive learning experience. So just posting on LinkedIn just felt not enough. Even if she was writing, it was like not deep enough.
[00:06:13] The research needed to be there, the transformation through what she was talking about, needed to be there and man, it was cool to see like the relief in her body language, in her voice. It was immediate. What she was struggling with wasn't resistance, it was just misalignment and the path became really clear.
[00:06:30] Write first research. If you need to create a transformative path using curriculum, let that depth be the differentiator. I told her about one of my clients that I've been working with for about five years to build his influence on LinkedIn. He publishes one article a week, one well-researched, well-written.
[00:06:48] He invests in having it edited. He invests in working with me and he has grown his following from 15,000 followers on LinkedIn to over 350,000 followers [00:07:00] on LinkedIn. And that really is just from the consistency and and leaning into his wiring. So that is something that came out of that call. It was really helpful and gave her a path to start walking down so that she could get some traction.
[00:07:14] Here's another example from a recent call. Worked with someone who had transformational guide as their primary archetype, followed by a strategic advisor. , This person is a consultant who works with nonprofits, helping them secure funding and what emerged on the call was really fascinating. ,
[00:07:32] they were trying to figure out how to package their work and sell it, because every client is really different. And how do you create an offer when you feel like you have to customize everything? But that's the point. Like the transformation happens through personalized guidance. I have the same challenge, so.
[00:07:51] When I work with folks, and this is what I talked with them about, we're not just handing people a template. We sit with them. We try to understand the specific [00:08:00] situation that's the strategic advisor, the specific problem, and then we build something that fits that specific organization. So the breakthrough wasn't that they needed to stop customizing the breakthrough was understanding that.
[00:08:11] The structure stays the same, even if the content or the outcome changes. The analogy I often use with clients who have a similar wiring here is it's like voice lessons. When I go to voice lessons, , with my voice coach Korianne, who is amazing, my daughter and I both take lessons. , My daughter goes first, I go second.
[00:08:30] She takes the first half hour, I take the second half hour. The structure of our lessons is identical. My daughter does warmups at the beginning. I do warmups at the beginning. The warmups are different 'cause we're working on different things, but it's still that structure. And then we work on songs. And the songs we're working on are different and the things we talk about are different.
[00:08:50] But man, the structure is the same. So I feel like I have a personalized experience. But Korianne, , my voice coach doesn't have to do something completely different every [00:09:00] single time someone walks into a lesson with her. It's still personalized to my voice, to my goals, but the structure is the same.
[00:09:06] And that's what I was talking about with this client. And once they saw that they could more clearly articulate the process, they walked people through, they had one offer to determine if they were even ready to get funding to secure funding for, for organizations who were maybe just starting out. And then she had another process that was really clear for organizations who were ready to scale and who could hit the ground running.
[00:09:31] They all kind of have the same framework, but ability to have personalized application. So now there was something that could actually be talked about and sold and content created. , One more example, I had a call with someone who has built an incredible platform around gathering citizens, creating opportunities for them to contribute in their communities and their top two archetypes, this client, , were resident order and experienced facilitator, almost completely tied.
[00:09:56] Like they were one percentage point apart and this [00:10:00] client kept hearing they needed to scale or systematize and something just felt wrong about that. And so we, we are looking at that blend and realize the magic that they're able to create happens in person. They create transformation by designing experiences and speaking into the moments and making the people
[00:10:17] who are there, who are getting involved in their communities, aware of what's going on through the words that they use, creating a course would strip away everything that makes their work powerful. So the question in that instance wasn't how do I scale away from what I do best? The question was, how do I scale my impact and stay in my zone of genius?
[00:10:35] That's a totally different problem to solve. And suddenly, instead of feeling stuck, we had a path forward and a way to build differently based on the opportunities that were already being created. So here's what I want you to understand about why this level of support can be helpful and why it matters.
[00:10:51] So many of us are trying to build something that creates impact, whether it's a business or a platform, and we copy strategies [00:11:00] from people who are wired completely differently than we are. We see someone who's successful on LinkedIn and we think I should do that. That person might even have a course we can buy that will tell us how to do it, and then we try it and it doesn't work.
[00:11:12] Or we watch someone build a course empire and we think, man, that passive income, that's what I need. That's what scaling looks like. But I talked about this in an earlier episode when we were talking about the book, the Science of Scaling. Scaling doesn't have to be moving away from things you care about.
[00:11:30] You can scale your impact by leaning in strategically to the things you're wired to do and remove bottlenecks around the things that really frustrate you. That still could be considered scaling because of the ripple effect that it unleashes. What if your strategy only works because what if the person you're trying to copy, what if their strategy only works because it's aligned with their archetype?
[00:11:52] So many people who come to these calls with me who, invest in the accelerator, who invest in a sprint, what if they're a wisdom writer and they've been [00:12:00] using a resident ORs playbook and they think that thought leadership just isn't for them? Or what if they're an experienced facilitator and they think they have to build courses and they're not selling and they beat themselves up about it?
[00:12:11] That's the thing that frustrates me, most of all to see is that discouragement that comes from copying and pasting someone else's playbook. You're constantly gonna feel like you're swimming upstream. Of course, it's hard and you think something's wrong with you. Of course you would, but there's not.
[00:12:27] There's nothing wrong with you. You're just running the wrong operating system. What if you were trying to run a Macintosh computer using windows or vice versa? It doesn't work. The archetype strategy calls. Give you your operating system, show you how you're wired as it relates to expression, and give you your specific blend of archetypes that create your unique positioning, and most importantly, what to do first.
[00:12:51] What to do for the next 30 days. 'cause knowing that archetype is wonderful, but it isn't enough. To get you to where you wanna go. If [00:13:00] where you wanting to go is big, you need strategy. You need to see the gap between where you are and where you want to go, and you need to start moving in that direction and align your archetype with your business model, to your content creation, to your content strategy, to your connection.
[00:13:14] Possibilities in your commercialization approach. And that's where we start and what we start working on on these calls. So let me walk you through what happens when you actually book a call. Before we meet, I review your quiz results, any context you shared about your business, I come prepared. There's questions that you answer when you sign up on my page.
[00:13:32] And then we spend 60 minutes together live. We start by walking through that expanded report. I show you not just your top score, but how they work together. The top three to six archetypes. We look at the specific percentages. We look at the frequencies, we look at the patterns and how everything works together and what the implications for that are.
[00:13:50] Then we talk about your specific situation, your specific business, what's working, what's draining you, what strategies have you been forcing that don't fit, and what have you been resisting? [00:14:00] That might be data not defiance. Not procrastination data. We map your archetype to your current business reality, and we look at what to stop doing, what to start doing or double down on, and what your natural path forward looks like.
[00:14:16] It's teaching you how to. Use the compass you got handed when you figured out what your archetype was. Because when you know how to use that compass, you can start blazing your own trail and start walking in the right direction. After the call, you get the recording so you can revisit everything we discussed, and I create that personalized 30 day plan to get you started so you can get moving in the right direction.
[00:14:38] These archetype strategy calls are an investment of $500, and here's what I want you to know about that investment. If you decide that you want to work together to build out your full resident thought leadership system, 'cause this is just one part of core resonance. If you want the full thing either through the resident thought leadership accelerator, I used to call it the lab, we're calling the accelerator now or through the [00:15:00] one-on-one resident sprint.
[00:15:01] That $500 applies toward your investment. Or toward any container that I'm working on in the future. I'm working on some practitioner training . It would apply toward that as well. So this call can be your first step toward building a complete thought leadership platform,
[00:15:14] or it can be a standalone strategic session if that's more useful. If you just need clarity and direction, you will get it, and you can get moving. . Either way, you're gonna walk away knowing your unique blend of archetypes, how they work together, and what you do next.
[00:15:29] So if you are ready to move from self-awareness to strategy. If you're tired of forcing yourself into someone else's mold, if you want to finally build something that fits the way you're wired, I would love to work with you on an archetype strategy call. You can book it by going to macyrobison.com/call.
[00:15:47] Here's what I know for sure. If you're feeling stuck, it's not because you're doing this wrong. If you're feeling stuck, it's because you're doing the wrong thing for your wiring. You're using someone [00:16:00] else's playbook that doesn't fit you. And I think the most liberating thing you can do is give yourself permission to build uniquely and differently to stop copying strategies from people who are wired differently than you are to start building from your actual strengths instead of forcing yourself into someone else's framework.
[00:16:16] Knowing your archetype. Like I said, it's like the compass. It's like me putting a compass in your hand and get you pointed in the right direction. But this call helps you confidently navigate as you continue moving down the path so you can stop second guessing everything and move with confidence.
[00:16:32] Thank you for being here. We'll continue to be here on the podcast and share these insights and ways to apply them as I learn more and more about working with people to create this system. Thank you for telling friends about the assessment. Thank you for telling friends about this podcast. I really deeply believe the impact I'm here to make is to help people.
[00:16:53] Get aligned and choose what it is they want to do in terms of the impact they want to make. And the more this [00:17:00] work gets in front of the right people, the more and more that becomes a possibility. Thank you for your help with that. More to come next week. I.
