Now there are a bunch of podcast tools on the market. You got software to record content. You got stuff for managing your show, a bunch of different hosting platforms. I think that a lot of these are just a distraction. You don't need to use all of these different tools. I know that a lot of them exist, but you don't need every single tool to have a successful show. Today, I wanna break down PodCentral and why it's one of the only tools that you need to manage your podcast at a high level. What's up, podcasters? Welcome back to PodCentral. I'm your host Coach, chris. See, I got the new setup. We still designing it. It's going to look better and better in time. Trust me. Trust me, give me some time.

00:33
But today I want to get into the AI tool stuff. I think it's now becoming trendy to make tools and to promote them and to talk about them. I put AI in the title of this episode, so it's going to get more views. Simple as that, right. But I think, when it comes to spending your money every month, you don't want to be the person that's spending hundreds of dollars every month on a bunch of tools that you really don't need, right? I'll be honest with you. Just because you add more tools to your process, it doesn't mean your outcome is going to be better. I think for some people, instead of focusing on the tools, they should focus on the actual content, right? Like? You don't need to add another tool, you need to make better content so you can get the results you want. When it comes to the tools in AI space, you want to make sure you're only adding things to your content creation process, your business, that actually help you. Right? Like? Think about this what sense does it make to add a tool that's not really necessary for your workflow? Right? And when I was making PodCentral, my thought was I wanted to make sure I covered all the steps before you record content and then after you record that episode. Right? Those are the main things I think that we often overlook as podcast hosts. Now, again, there are a bunch of tools out there that do some of this stuff now, but I want to break down the value of what PodCentral does and why this eliminates a lot of those other resources. So the first thing and I would say probably the most popular, is the AI post-production.

01:57
I think this is just incredible you upload your episode to the platform and in five to seven minutes you get a full breakdown of literally everything. You get show notes, title options, keywords, chapters all the resources you need for your episode. Now you might think, why is this stuff valuable? First of all, I think it's valuable because I spent years writing show notes and it was exhausting when I would work on my podcast and my client shows. I would spend so much time trying to break down and literally listen to an hour-long episode and try to do a paragraph or two on what the episode was about, the value people will get from it, why they should listen all of that stuff. It would take me hours. Now you can just upload straight to PodCentral and you get these show notes. It's within minutes, right, it's super, super quick. Now this is also useful because when you're posting on YouTube or on your podcast hosting platform, you want to have thorough show notes that are broken down right, like that just saves you time, makes everything easier For me.

03:00
I use Transistor FM, shout out to them and I even put my keywords. I get from PodCentral onto there as well and that helps me get more listens, more downloads, because the keywords the AI got from the actual audio of the podcast. I now put that on the podcast platform as well, and the chapters. I'll upload my chapters manually onto these hosting platforms because if you let them do it automatically it's okay. But the PodCentral software is way better at recognizing where you change topics and where your guests might start talking and things like that. So they're good at breaking up the episode into the key points, not just random points in the episode. I don't like that. Now, this part is not something I've been doing for years, but once I started adding in the keywords and the chapters all those little things you don't think they matter, but they actually do. Like on YouTube, people just like to be able to scroll through the episode faster. When I do my podcast SFR, startup Founder Roadmap I do startup definitions. Somebody might not want to listen to a whole 20 minute rant about whatever keyword I'm focusing on for that day. They can just fast forward to a specific point in the episode, get the information they need and maybe even click off the video. But I like chapters because it helps people find what they're looking for a lot faster.

04:16
I think booking interviews is arguably the hardest part of hosting a podcast. You have to align your time with the guest. You have to get all the resources and details from that guest, you have to record the interview, wait, first you got to prepare for the interview, then record the interview, then produce the interview Right, and then you still have to make all other content to share with them, and then most of them don't even share to their audience anyways. So, like the process of doing podcast interviews can be exhausting. So I wanted to make something that would cut down that workflow and then just make things easier to manage.

04:51
As part of our booking process on PodCentral, you not only get the booking process like the actual link, like Calendly. When people go there they can put in all their details and information right there in the form Matter of fact. They have to. You can't book on a show if you don't upload your headshot, you don't put links for the show notes, you don't give us your bio. We need those details right. As podcasters, you know how important that is. And to avoid the whole plan tag where you're sending emails back and forth trying to find stuff, you just have everything on PodCentral. And to take it a a step further, we even added in a calendar feature where now you can just go look at the calendar to see what guests was on what day they came on the show. Right, you can just literally go back and look at who was on your show and get all their details and information.

05:40
Because for me, I do batch interviews. So I'll have a month, maybe let's say two weeks out of a month, where I'm doing interviews every day. I'll rack up like 10 to 15 within a two-week span. That's enough content for months, obviously, right. So for me I'm not always going back in there. You know, for me I'm always going back on pod central looking to see who I had on the show when they were on. I like to get their headshot for all my graphic content. I like to get their show notes to include their links and stuff. It just saves me time. Whereas, could I have this? Possibly in a Google drive? Maybe, but then I still got to go and find it in a Google drive. It's a lot harder. Whereas I know if I interviewed this person on March 18th, perfect, I just go to look in my calendar on March 18th and then I will see this is who I interviewed on that day. Here's all the stuff. Like, it's just so much easier To really close things off.

06:30
We also added a planner on to PodCentral. Now this is really, really good, because when you're planning out content, it's honestly there's no one specific format, right. So I wanted something that would be kind of cohesive to where you had everything you would need to plan a good episode, whether you're doing an interview or you're doing solo content, right. So we set up the actual planners where you can go in there and break down your entire episode before you record. I love this because when I'm doing interviews with the guests, I want to have my questions ready.

06:59
I want to have key points ready. Like I interview people that are launching products or putting out books and stuff, I want to have key elements of their products or services ready to go so I can ask them questions. Sometimes I even write down quotes and things they've said so I can go back and talk about that on the show, like. That saves me so much time and it's just so easy to be organized. When I'm recording doing my interviews, I have their planner right next to their video, so I can just look over to the left on the same screen and I see my questions.

07:28
Again, I was a person that would have notes. I have my sticky notes right here. Look, I used to use these all the time. I don't use them as much anymore because it's really just not necessary when I put everything on Pond Central and I like organizing it this way because sometimes I'll even share this with my guests right Like before the guest is on the show I'll share with them, like hey, here's some of the questions we're going to cover, here's some of the topics and stuff, and just sending it off to the guests. It saves me so much time because now I don't have to go to Google Drive and make that doc or whatever. I just do it all on PodCentral, all in one place.

07:59
So again, I know there are a ton of tools out there, but PodCentral was one that was designed to really condense your workflow as a podcast. Those. No more email tag and chasing your guests around, no more paying for five or six different tools. You just have it all in one place. You don't have to worry about having your content over here and then docs over here. All of that stuff goes into one place on pod central.

08:20
