Let's get started.
Hi guys, can you believe it?
This is our first episode of From My Father.
I can't believe this is actually happening.
I'm so excited today.
We have a very special guest.
My oldest daughter, Rhalyn Murphy, is with me today for my very first podcast.
I am so excited to be here.
I cannot wait for today's conversation.
It's going to be awesome.
Welcome, Rhay.
Thank you.
Tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do here at Bridge.
My name is Rhalyn.
I am the worship director here at Bridge.
I am married to Micah Murphy.
He is the youth pastor here at Bridge, and we have two babies, and we're just doing life, doing ministry together.
And they are my precious babies, too.
Oh, my goodness.
I know.
I have three very sweet grands, and I love my babies.
I love my grands.
I'm excited about today.
This is the first podcast that, you know, the first episode.
So it's like, I just, it seems surreal.
Yes.
But I'm ready to get started.
And you know that with every episode, I'm going to start with something called The Burden and the Blessing.
And Rhalyn, I want to start with you asking you, what is one burden that you're carrying?
And then what is one blessing that the Father has given you this week?
So start with the burden.
What are you carrying right now?
That's a loaded question.
It's always loaded.
My burden and blessing kind of go hand in hand because I think, I mean, let me just start with the burden, but I think it's just the balance of ministry and motherhood and learning how to balance both of those things and do both in excellence and feel like I'm doing my best at both things.
I think sometimes...
I feel like I'm giving more to one or the other instead of finding the balance in that.
But it kind of goes over into what the blessing is because it's a blessing to, you know, be able to be a mom and be able to do ministry with my family.
But just figuring out how to handle both things and do both.
Yeah, that's really good.
That's so good.
I remember having to navigate all of that.
And God is with you the whole time and every season.
It's like,
You see, you definitely feel it's the blessing, right?
You're not complaining, but it can be like, it can get heavy.
Yeah.
And we have two very small kids.
I have a two and a half year old and a one year old.
He's almost one.
So just balancing.
I know it'll be easier as they get older, but then we'll have more kids.
So just balancing all of it and learning how to do it, you know, the way the Lord intends.
And I think you carry it well.
Thank you.
Just from the outside.
I think you do carry it well.
Thank you.
Well, should we dive into today's episode?
Let's go.
Today we wanted to not only just dive into some subjects, but we wanted to just ask Pastor Tangi some questions just to get to know the person behind the microphone before we start diving into subjects in later episodes.
So today is going to be like Q&A type style.
We just want to get to know you, get to know some of your story, the things that you're looking forward to in this podcast.
So we thought that we would just start off with asking who is Tangie Callahan?
Who are you? Who am I? Who are you let's see i'm a country girl who loves jesus and is in ministry i get to to watch people i think my favorite thing about what i do is watching lives transform all the time it's my favorite thing
Jesus is my reason, and I couldn't do it all without Him, obviously.
But I think the big thing with me is I love to see someone
who is just, I don't know, they're struggling, but then to see them be transformed, right?
They're in sin, and to see God come into their life and literally transform it.
That's my favorite thing.
So who am I?
I love...
I love the Lord, and my favorite is to get to minister to people all the time.
It's my favorite.
I feel like it's an honor that we get to do that, and I'm super honored.
I have a great husband who pastors our church.
I have four beautiful kids.
who are all pretty much here in ministry at the church.
My son has a public job, but God's using him there, and it's awesome, him and his wife.
Anyway, God is good, and that's kind of who I am.
My life is surrounded with ministry, and I love my grands.
and we'll get to know you more throughout the episodes and it's going to be awesome to dive into more of who you are and what you do on a day-to-day basis but we're going to get into some rapid fire questions oh goodness so i'm just gonna rapid fire them off and i want you to just answer if you want to dive into conversation you can or just feel free to do the one word answer
Starting off, are we a coffee or a matcha girl?
Matcha all day.
Now, I used to be coffee, but a couple of years ago, I had to come off of coffee just due to the fact of it being such high caffeine.
I was only having one cup, and I know y'all joke on me, but that one cup made my cortisol, which is your stress hormone, just go out the yin-yang.
I'll like walk in drinking coffee at like two o'clock in the afternoon and mom is like, Raelynn, are you going to be able to sleep tight?
I'm like, mom, it does not bother me like that.
Listen, I can't have caffeine like after nine o'clock in the morning.
But no, I love matcha.
Matcha is my favorite now.
And I do not like matcha at all.
Well, it's something that tastes like freshly mowed lawn.
You do have to acquire a taste for it.
I have to say that, you know, but I've gotten to where I even just like it plain.
No, no milks, anything.
I just like the green grassy tea.
You are one of a kind.
So yeah, matcha all the way.
All right.
So if we were planning a vacation, would you be shooting for a beach scene or a mountain scene?
Beach all day.
Yes, I agree with you there.
I think that one's self-explanatory.
Are we a morning person or a night owl?
Morning all day.
Don't talk to me after 8 o'clock at night.
My eyes will start crossing and I will kick my husband under the table if we are out.
I am done.
Tapped out.
Yeah, I got to crawl in the bed by at least 9.
All right, if we're grabbing a snack, are we grabbing sweet or salty?
Sweet all day.
I do love salty, you know, Mexicans like always good, but all right.
What is your favorite worship song right now?
To be honest, it's probably not a song that you would think from like all the, the popular worship artists, um, probably.
There's a song that Andre Crouch wrote.
It's called Through It All.
And it's just been on my radar for like a couple of years, literally.
Like it's almost like what's gotten me through all the season of change with all of my kids getting married and all this stuff.
But yeah, it goes through it all, through it all.
I've learned to trust in Jesus.
I've learned to trust in
I have my voice is struggling today.
But on a great Andre Crouch is a great, you know, I love that song writer.
So yeah, I love that.
It's really good.
All right.
What is the one food that you could eat every single day?
Every single day.
I don't feel like my day can start without eggs.
That is disgusting.
And so I will do them extra runny because I like them over medium.
It's getting worse and worse.
And I'll throw a lot of egg whites in there.
But I don't know.
It just gives me energy.
I could not eat eggs every day.
Oh, and I love avocado with my eggs.
So maybe the mixture.
Maybe we'll go with avocado.
Yeah, I love avocados.
All right.
What is one of your favorite ways to style an outfit?
Just everyday, daily basis.
Like, what do you do with fun accessories?
I love denim.
Denim is always got to be.
And we didn't plan this denim.
No, we didn't.
She walked in and I was like, what?
Um, I love denim, but you know, I always have to pair my outfits with a hat.
Oh, I am a hat girl.
I got to do the hat.
You look good in a hat.
I don't like wearing hats, but I just got to show you how to do your hair.
What is something that you're currently obsessed with?
My grands.
I will go a couple of days, and I will literally get a cry in my throat driving down the road, and I go, I've got to see my grandbabies.
Like, they just bring so much joy to me.
Yes, they're the best.
So, yeah, I love my grandbabies.
All right, what is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
This is a hard one.
I have no idea.
What do you think?
Hmm.
Hmm.
Is there like, I feel like my life is an open book.
I don't know if there's any big surprises with me.
I'm kind of boring.
I don't have like this adventurous life, you know?
Yeah.
I think people would be surprised to know that you live a pretty laid-back life.
Very laid-back.
It can be busy from like 8 to 12, but then after that you're going home, watching a movie, going on a walk.
I love to listen to jazz.
I don't know.
Maybe that is something that nobody would expect.
But I don't throw worship on all the time.
I do have my time of worship.
Yeah, you say you're more productive when you're listening to like an instrumental.
Yeah, so I'll throw jazz on like the instrumental.
And sometimes I'll live vicariously through the scenes on YouTube when I put the jazz.
And dream about leaving and going there.
Yes, I will put a beachfront.
Like with the waves rolling in and I'll just dream about sitting there.
But it does make me clean my house faster.
So I love that.
It calms you.
Yeah.
What is your favorite vacation?
We kind of touched on this with the beach or mountains, but.
Yeah.
Any beach.
But I don't have to do a lot on vacation.
You just want to rest.
I think some people like to plan a bunch of things and a bunch of outings.
But whenever we do vacation, we just want to sit.
Yeah, I just want to sit on the beach.
I want to be with my husband.
Yeah, I want to have slow mornings.
I love getting dressed up and going to dinner, though.
Yes.
But no itinerary, nothing crazy.
Just go with the flow.
Yeah.
I think just spur of the moment, you know, that's how I live.
Yes.
What is one thing that you're not so great at?
There's a lot of things that I'm not great at, but the first thing that comes to mind is probably math.
I cannot add something.
Archie will be like,
Tangie, where did you get that from?
I'm like, oh, I forgot about it.
And you do everything on the calculator.
It's like 18 plus two and mom's opening her calculator.
And I count my fingers too.
I do my fingers too.
Oh my Lord.
Yeah.
Well, good thing you don't have to use math all the time.
Yeah.
Introvert or extrovert?
I think I've become both.
I think if you'd asked me 20 years ago, I'm party girl all day long.
But
Lately and over the last several years, I've become very quiet and like I embrace the quiet.
I take long walks in the morning.
And if I miss my walks.
You can tell.
Oh, I can so tell because I talk to the Lord.
I love it quiet.
I love listening to I thank the Lord for the bird singing.
Just, you know.
I think you're a good mix because you do great in group settings and you can talk to everybody and you love it.
But then at the end of the night, you're ready to.
And it's more so like how you recharge and like you always recharge when you're by yourself or alone in the quiet.
So true.
If your family described you in one word, what would they say?
That's your question.
What would you say when you think about me?
Well, what would you think the representation of that would be?
They would probably say I'm too regimented.
That's not one word.
I look at too many ingredients.
One word.
I look at, yeah, seed oils as the enemy.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I think one word would just be, I don't know.
I can't think of one.
Yes.
You've got to give me one word.
What would you think?
You know, what would you think of me?
Unique.
Is that negative?
That is not negative.
That's the perfect word for you.
Okay.
Are we go with rapid fire?
Can you think of anything else?
Can't think of anything else.
I think we're good on rapid fire.
All right.
That was a fun way to get to know you.
I think I enjoyed that.
All right.
Now we're going to dive into a little bit deeper, you know, some deeper subjects, some deeper questions.
We just want to know a little bit about your story, your background, you know, who you are, where you came from.
So just give us a brief story, your story in a nutshell, if you will.
I, like I said, I was raised in a Christian home, country, country, country in North Carolina, like no stoplights for miles.
But grew up in the sweetest little country church where I saw the power of God move, like incredibly.
My grandmother is one of my, she passed away when I was in elementary school.
No, she didn't.
I take that back.
Ethan was just born.
So I was 19.
But Grandma was like the icon of the church.
My dad led singing, and I just got to watch them.
And my grandmother was also a song leader before him.
But she would just bust out and sing any kind of hymn.
She walked with the Lord so closely.
And, yeah, my parents divorced when I was five or six years old.
I don't remember exactly how old I was.
But that was tough, having to, you know, choose if I loved my father more or my mom and who I wanted to be with when I loved both.
And the pressure of that, having to go to court.
And anyway, my father ended up getting custody of us.
And so we were in church a lot, which is wonderful.
But we also went to church when we were at my mom's.
They had sort of joint custody.
I think one of the big things that marked me early on is the divorce.
Mm-hmm.
still being in a Christian home, wondering what is happening in our world.
But then at the age of, I don't know, I was about eight or 10.
I don't know exactly how old I was, but I remember the day that I was sexually molested.
And
It's like at that time I was awakened to something before its time.
Like all of a sudden, everything looked different.
And it just opened a whole new realm of feelings, you know?
That's when all the thoughts begin to come, low self-esteem.
Yeah.
It happened again in middle school, and it happened twice in high school.
And so these are all different guys that this happened, you know, these things occurred.
And so it's like, what is going on?
I began to question God.
I questioned who I was.
I questioned, you know, do guys just want me for one thing?
Am I not, you know, I felt like damaged goods.
I felt like nothing that I had to offer was,
was good, you know, except because I felt dirty, you know, except that, you know, so it's like, I think that's where the struggle, I think that was the open door of all the struggles with body image.
So when I went into my high school years, my body image was like terrible.
Um,
I was trying to look a certain way.
I was always on a diet, always on a diet, never felt like I was good enough, never felt pretty enough.
And yeah, so I got married at 19.
Yeah, I was going to say, how do you feel like that shaped like the early months of you dating?
Oh, my goodness.
I got married at 19 and carried so much baggage.
If you could see a picture of probably the spirit realm of what I was carrying when I got married, it would be a U-Haul.
of crud that my husband had to take on.
Now he had some stuff too, but that's another podcast.
But, you know, basically I felt like,
Very heavy.
It was very hard for me to be intimate with him.
I compared everything to what I had walked through.
I never felt pretty enough.
I would question his love for me all the time.
I think that was that spirit of rejection, like worried if he was going to walk out on me, if I didn't look good enough or whatever.
all of these things so we had to work through a lot plus and i would never encourage anybody to do this but we i became a pastor's wife two weeks after i got married that's crazy so i remember you were 19. i was 19 years old i did not know how to be a wife much less a pastor's wife
yeah a pastor's wife and so i was still learning how to cook like i left the water in the noodles with spaghetti like i did not know how to cook there was so many things my husband had so much patience with me but the old women i loved our little first church but the old women would bring me pies
And it was the first time that I felt free.
Oh, I'm married.
I'm happy.
We would literally go home on Sunday evenings when we're done for the day, ministry's done.
We had Sunday morning service.
We had Sunday night service.
And Archie and I would literally get a half gallon of ice cream with two spoons.
That is crazy.
And we wouldn't get bowls.
Like we would turn the TV on and fix our antenna.
That was when we had an antenna on our TV.
And we would watch TV and we would eat the ice cream until it was gone.
So I remember I gained like 50 pounds today.
in three months of my first months of marriage.
And do you feel like at that point you were looking to food to be something for you that you were, like, trying to fill a void in a certain way?
Oh, all day.
Like, it was like food was my happy, food was my sad.
Which those were cycles that probably started in your childhood days.
Yeah, I would hide food.
It was like I realized after I got married that I had an eating disorder and I began to hide food under my mattress and I would eat in the dark because I didn't want anybody to see me because when people see you eat, they can judge you.
Yeah.
And you felt shame.
I felt so much shame.
And.
Yeah, so.
There's a lot of healing that happened even after I had children.
Like we started Bridge Church in 1998 and we moved to Virginia Beach.
That was two and a half years after we had started or were pastors at this other church in Georgia.
And we moved to Virginia Beach and oh my goodness,
It's like we're starting another ministry, but I'm trying to have a baby.
And so I went to my first doctor's appointment and told them I wanted to have a child.
And he looked at me and he goes, I want you to go lose 20 pounds and then come back to me.
So all my life.
It's always been you have to lose weight in order to measure up or to do something.
You feel like, you know, you have to lose the weight in order to be something more or look a certain way.
Yes.
Every time I had, you know, that there was like a protocol, it was that I wasn't enough and that I had to look a certain way.
And that became the narrative in your head.
Yes.
That was on repeat.
Yes, with everything, with my husband.
Now my doctor is telling me.
The voices from my childhood always rang in my ear.
Comparison, comparing yourself to other people that you encounter on a daily basis.
And when you compare, there is literally no joy, no peace.
It's always a striving.
I never felt like I was in surrender.
I always felt like I was in striving.
Yes.
It was just a constant battle.
So, yeah, he told me that.
I went into, like, my eating disorder mode again, and I would starve myself.
And so whenever you did lose weight, it wasn't in a healthy way.
It was always an unhealthy way of – because your mind wasn't healed.
Your heart wasn't healed in that area.
A hundred percent.
Like, everything I did was –
I got to do more.
So if I if I didn't eat one day and I lost two pounds, I'm like, well, I'll just not eat tomorrow and maybe I'll lose another two or three pounds.
So it was like always, always striving to never be enough.
No, I was not eating healthy at all.
Yeah.
Like I would go days, but then I would.
Binge.
And I would eat everything in sight.
Because your body can only go for so long without... It doesn't do well in starvation mode.
And that's where I stayed.
I stayed in starvation mode.
And so then I would binge for weeks.
And so the weight never really shifted.
However, when I went back to the doctor, he said...
You've lost some weight.
He said, let's take a pregnancy test.
And you would not believe it.
I was pregnant when I went back.
And it was the happiest day of my life.
Because you guys have been trying for how long?
We had been trying since two weeks of being married.
But my husband...
My husband told me, he's like, babe, it is not time for us to have a baby.
And so now it's been, we got married in 95.
Now it's been three years of me trying.
Archie's like, you know.
In God's timing, we will have a baby.
Because you were so young.
You always preached to me.
But, yeah, I was so excited.
And, yeah, we had our first baby, Ethan, first son, only son in 1999.
And it was the biggest joy.
And so after you started having babies, what became like?
How did it make it harder for you, like in your mindset, you know, losing weight in your body image?
Or did it help you because, you know?
So I was very sick with every pregnancy.
So you lost weight when you were pregnant?
Oh, with Ethan, I lost 50 pounds.
With you, I lost 40 pounds.
And I was so sick.
I was in and out of the hospital.
And you were sick like all nine months, not just the first.
Oh, yeah.
Like some people get over it in the first three or four months.
I threw up the entire time.
That is miserable.
I started losing my hair.
I would have probably been one and done.
Yeah, it was it was crazy.
But that saying that says you forget it all like after your baby's born is so true because I just couldn't wait to have more.
And we probably would have had more.
But I was so sick.
But I started having you girls.
And I am not completely healed.
I am still dealing with all of the things in my childhood, dealing with the body image, dealing with all of the thoughts of not measuring up.
And so I feel like I had you.
And then a couple of years later, it was actually four years later, we had Adeline.
Mm-hmm.
And after Adelyn and I was being I was super sick.
But after Adelyn, like I really started working out and I felt like some of the things I was doing, I was getting in a healthy regimen and I got down to my lowest weight healthy.
And then Pay comes along.
I had a miscarriage between Addie and Pay and I went through a really, that's a whole nother podcast too.
Cause I questioned everything that I had ever been taught.
I had questioned my love for the Lord.
Was he real?
That's another day.
But, uh, pay was born and I know that there were things that I dealt with that I pushed on you guys.
Mm hmm.
And I really want to do a podcast.
You know, maybe the next one, that's what we could do.
Maybe I could pull in your sisters and just, you know, talk about it.
What is it that comes across when you live in an unhealthy home, right?
And you live in a home where there's constant striving, there's constant...
you know, never measuring up.
What is that like?
And, you know, how you guys walked through that.
So anyway, as you were getting healthy, but you weren't healed of the negative mindsets.
And I mean, it's still daily.
We're walking out that healing.
Yes.
But we can go into some of the process of you actually being healed and letting the Lord heal you rather than just
Getting healthy and losing weight because that's just the fruit of it.
But if your heart isn't healed, then you're still going to carry those emotions and feelings toward, you know, because I remember I could I was at my lowest weight and like the fittest I'd ever been, but still something in my mind was telling myself that.
it wasn't enough.
And now I look back on those pictures and I'm like, why did I feel insecure then?
But it's because the problem wasn't the weight.
The problem was what the Lord needed to do in my heart and healing those places of insecurity in me, not just losing the weight.
Because I believe that even if you do lose the weight and you still aren't healed, then you're still going to be in that negative thought process.
It's called body dysmorphia.
Yes.
And when you look at yourself, you don't ever feel even though you've accomplished so much like but you don't ever feel like you're enough still.
And I feel like the enemy uses that so strongly.
And men and women, but especially women.
Yeah, I agree.
So, yeah, that's.
That's sort of my nutshell story of kind of the things that we moved here.
Yeah, that shaped me.
And, you know, obviously we've been in ministry for 31 years.
Bridge Church is 28 years old.
And yeah, so.
That's kind of the things that have shaped me and kind of how God has used my story to speak to women.
Yeah, and we'll continue diving into those subjects and do podcasts on specific situations in your life and dive more into those things.
Looking back over your life, where do you feel like you've seen God's hand the most?
Like where has he, I mean, he's been faithful in all areas, but what sticks out the most of where you've seen his hand, where you've seen his faithfulness and how you've seen him come through for you?
Oh man, that's such a deep question.
I think for me, he's a keeping God.
Hmm.
Because I didn't drink alcohol.
I didn't do drugs.
I didn't do all of the things that people would consider like a testimony.
I feel like God kept me from those things.
Yes.
I did struggle with, you know, food addiction and sugar addiction and things like that.
But I'm so thankful because God is a keeper.
He protected me.
And I don't want anybody to ever feel like just because I never veered off and drank alcohol or, you know, smoked weed or, you know, was addicted to a drug of any sort or porn, you know, anything like that.
you know which is amazing when God delivers people from those things but I think so often we can think man like what is my testimony what is my story when people ask us because it's so prevalent to ask people that question and I think the greatest testimony of all is that God kept you and that his hand was always on your life and that he protected you through things where you know you could have gone off and did this I mean you had every right to feel a certain type of way you know
going into your teen years and young adult years, but you knew that God's hand was on your life and you knew you were called and he kept you.
It's so true.
I'm so thankful for his keeping power and just his hand upon me.
And I do think that's grace.
I think that his, his mercy has just kept me.
There is a song called mercy saw me.
Yes.
And, um,
kept me and you know i don't know i just i would say he's a keeping god he's a keeping god there's many things that he's delivered me from but i would say the biggest thing that's followed me is he's a keeping god
And it's not that you didn't go through things, you don't have struggles, but it's just that through it all, he's been with you and you don't feel like he's ever removed his hand.
Through it all.
Yeah.
So good.
I'm so excited about this podcast.
I think it's going to be amazing and touch the lives of women all around the world.
And so I want to transition into talking a little bit about this podcast, how it was birthed, what the Lord had done.
spoke to you about it and just dive into, you know, why did you finally decide to start a podcast?
I mean, they always say like, we don't need like another podcast, but I truly believe that if the Lord has called you to do something, you have to be obedient in that.
And so I would love to know like the behind the scenes of when did this start and why do you feel like this is what God is calling you to do in this season?
it's so crazy because i had been feeling you know that feeling like that nudge from the holy spirit to start a podcast and i wrestled with the lord big time because i'm like there's a million podcasts gone like i argued with him out loud
And I'm like, there doesn't need to be another podcast.
But I will be honest, this is crazy.
And this can happen.
So when we finished our women's conference in 2025, a lady that attended our women's conference emailed me.
And she had a dream.
And she said, I saw you sitting in a chair and crying.
The name of your pod.
You were sitting in a chair with a podcast mic in front of you.
That's crazy.
And on the wall, it said from my father.
Wow.
And I'm like, and she kind of went into more detail.
And I'm like, just stunned by the first sentence because I'm like, Lord.
Because you had already been feeling like you wanted to do that.
Yeah, like the Lord had already been speaking to me.
So this was total confirmation.
By the way, any prophetic word should always be a confirmation, you know, in your spirit.
And so when I got that email, I showed my husband immediately.
And I think I texted you girls.
I was like, oh my goodness, look at this.
And so God was speaking and I felt peace.
I felt confirmation.
However, it didn't start right away.
The timing was kind of off and...
We've had a crazy few seasons.
Oh, yes.
Oh, yes.
And my personal life just with all the kids.
But everything came together.
And so, yeah, the timing is right.
I really feel like this podcast is not for me.
In fact, I know it's not for me.
I feel like that women need to see and hear the Father's heart on things.
And I feel like God's going to use it and anoint it to minister to anybody, but especially women who are going through all of the things, right?
And we're going to touch on everything.
When I tell you everything, like there's going to be raw conversations from marriage to menopause, you know, perimenopause.
Yeah, having babies.
Ministry, motherhood.
All of it.
All of it.
Yeah.
And so I'm super excited to dive into it.
It's a side of me that not many people see.
And so I really feel like it's going to touch a lot of people.
Mm-hmm.
Not because of me, but I feel like the conversations are going to ring.
It's going to set off alarms and God's going to speak and maybe bring revelation to people.
And just to piggyback off of that, we want the listeners to be able to share what they want to hear from you, the questions they have, maybe subjects that you could do a podcast on.
And so if that's you and you have a suggestion on what you would like Pastor Tangi to do an episode on, just go ahead and follow us on Instagram and just be looking out in the comment section and on our stories.
And we want you to be able to submit the things that you want us to talk about on this podcast because we want to hear from you.
We want to know your questions and we want to know what you have to say.
So just be looking out for that.
For someone who doesn't know what From My Father is, and that sounds kind of foreign to them, how would you explain From My Father?
What does that mean?
What is the From My Father podcast?
But more so, what does From My Father mean to you?
So after you got married, I was sitting on the porch and the Lord began to download.
I was like exhausted because your wedding had just finished and it was probably two or three days after.
And dad and I had taken off for the week.
Which this would have been in 2022.
Yeah.
Yeah, this was 2022.
And I was sitting on my back porch in the swing, and I literally got a whole download of what from my father meant.
And in fact, that slogan just came up in my spirit from my father.
And God began to show me how everything for your wedding is
It was like your dad wanted it to be perfect.
And he's the one who made a way, right, for you to get married.
Your dress, all the way down to what the yard looked like and all the flowers.
He was so involved in it.
It was his money, right?
And so he wanted to make sure everything was perfect for you.
And it was like God just began to talk to me from my father.
Mm-hmm.
Every good and perfect gift out of James, it says every good and perfect gift comes from the Father above who never shifts or changes.
And that's when God just downloaded that to me from my father.
And it was like he gave me that brand.
I saw the logo.
I saw everything about it.
And, you know, I started and launched like a clothing line and things like that.
But
really just became my heart.
And what it spoke to me is that all through my life, even with my own father, like I am a spitting image of my dad.
We have a very similar personality.
We're very much morning people.
We have a similar laugh.
Like there's a lot, I'm a lot like my mom too, but
There's so many similarities with my dad.
And so it was like God began to show that correlation of just like you mimic and you are a product of your father.
That is what I want you to be for me.
From my father means everything that I am, my anointing, my calling, my identity.
Yes.
Who I am as a believer.
It has to come from him.
It has to come from Him, and it does come from Him, even if you're not a believer.
Like, He's still the perfect Father.
You just haven't awakened to Him yet.
Yeah, you haven't encountered Him.
Yes, and so I guess that's kind of, in a nutshell, how that birthed.
And I want every listener to always know that the Father is always speaking, and He's always molding us and shaping us.
And so, yeah.
And every good and perfect gift and every blessing in our life, it comes from him.
Amen.
Yes.
So who is this podcast for?
Who do you pray that this podcast touches?
And who do you want to be impacted by what you have to say?
I really want, obviously, anybody to listen.
But for women to understand and know that they are not alone, that God sees them, even in the season that they're in, because I'm in a crazy season right now.
Um, probably over the last three or four years, it has gotten, gotten really tough.
And I'm going to talk about some of that later, but that God sees every season and he's always speaking in every season and he's already gone before you.
So it's just listening for his voice.
It's hearing his guidance through the word and, you know, he's not going to ever leave us or forsake us.
And
I just want this podcast to minister to whoever needs that in their life.
That's awesome.
And it will.
What do you hope women feel after every episode?
How do you want them to leave feeling obviously encouraged and empowered?
But yeah, I think just encouraged to know that God is walking with you and that
No situation, even though it seems impossible, is impossible for God.
Yes.
You know, it's not impossible.
He is right there and he's ready to do a miracle.
Yes.
And sometimes the miracle is in the waiting.
Sometimes you don't see the miracle and like an instantaneous thing.
Sometimes it's the process.
of walking out this season and just yeah so I want every woman to know that regardless of the situation they're in they're not alone there's so many women in that like I used to think are people thinking the crazy thoughts I'm thinking like you know nine times out of ten they are yeah I mean and so we're all in this together yes and so I don't want any woman to feel alone but
That's awesome.
We're so excited for the future and the rest of the podcast and the conversations that we're going to have.
And so with that being said, can you give us any insight on the future podcast, things that you're going to be sharing, conversations that are coming throughout the rest of the season?
Yeah, like I said, I really want to touch on everything.
Raw conversation.
I do feel like I'm going to probably bring in my other daughters.
Don't worry, guys.
I'll still be here, too.
Yeah.
I really want to kind of dig into some things.
I feel like we touched on some things today and I want to follow up on that.
But we need to dive in.
We need to dive in on body image and why it affects us so much.
Yes.
You know, and so I really want to talk about that.
So I'm excited about what's coming.
And yeah, I would just stay tuned.
And don't forget to keep checking for Instagram.
We want your questions.
I want to end always with a listener question.
So make sure that you sign up for that.
Send in your questions.
You'll see something that you can sign up and be able to do that with.
Yeah, we'll probably start that by the next episode, just ending out the podcast with a listener question.
We want to stay in touch with you guys, stay in contact with you guys.
So we're just super excited for all that's to come.
You want to be sure to tune in to the next episode with Pastor Tangie and all of us girls, all of the sisters.
So it's going to be awesome.
Do you have anything else that you want to touch on, add on before we end?
I think we've hit on a lot today.
Yes.
And I want to just thank you for being here, being on the podcast.
I love you.
Thanks for having me.
Love you.
And yeah, I look forward to next time.
Bye.
Thanks, guys.
We love you guys.
