Oh merciful God, that you should pass by millions and that your electing love should fall upon me. That the Scripture should have a dark side to others, but a light side to me. That to others, it should be a dead letter, but to me, the savior of life, that Christ should not only be revealed to me, but in me. Compassionate Savior! That I would have the heart of a Seraphim burning in love for you and the voice of an angel to make heaven ring with praises to you, my God and my Redeemer. Thomas Watson.
