What is Spokane Daily?

Spokane Daily tells the stories of how local people actually make a living. Join Jethro Jones, the Optimization Doc, for conversations with Spokane-area business owners about why they started, how their businesses make money, what's working, and what they're building next. From solo operators and family businesses to growing local companies, each episode goes inside the work: the people, numbers, decisions, and challenges behind the business. Hear practical lessons you can use, discover businesses worth knowing, and meet the people shaping Spokane's business community. When we talk about AI, we focus on what it means for local businesses.

Welcome to Spokane Daily. I am Jethro Jones. I run Optimization Doc, where I help businesses make and save money through fractional operations support. I'm really excited to launch this podcast because I've been talking to some amazing business leaders over the past few weeks and it's amazing how they get work done here locally in Spokane and I want to share their stories.

So a little bit about me. I used to be a school principal. In 2020 I started doing consulting for school leaders and then in 2023 a lot of my business turned over to coaching and leading about AI, how we would adopt it, what it would do. And so now I provide fractional operations support to businesses. And because I worked virtually for so long, I now am excited to be able to work locally.

Because I've met so many amazing business leaders here in Spokane, I am super excited to share some of their stories with you. And what we're going to do is we're going to walk through how they do business, what their business is, why it matters, and why you should support your local businesses here in Spokane because they are doing amazing things. So I look forward to sharing this podcast with you and all the great guests that we're going to talk about.

The current plan, we'll see what happens, is to release an episode every single day of the business week, so Monday through Friday, and have just a ton of business leaders. There are so many businesses here in the Spokane area that I think we've got enough people to interview for days and days and days. So I look forward to sharing this with you.

Follow along spokanedaily.net and Spokane Daily, we'll see, on all the social networks. We'll see which ones I do. All right, here we go. Let's get going.
