The day is done…and you want to relax. You need a place—a certain kind of place—where they know you and you know them…where you can take the edge off. A place where the lights are dim, the music swings, but it’s never too loud…and you don’t even have to tell ‘em when to make it a double…where the skirts are tight and the necklines plunge. You say, “No such place exists!” Ah, but it does…it’s the Sunset Lounge. Step inside the green door…have a seat at the bar…
I can confirm that it is 08:00 on the East Coast, which means I can only assume that it's 05:00 on the West Coast. It is the September 3 in the year of our lord 2026 season 17 episode eight, seven hundred eighty one times. You have been welcome to the clubhouse podcast, your one stop shop for all things in the worlds of sports, entertainment, pop culture, pro wrestling. It's what we do. Now you're saying to yourself, wait a minute. Just be cool. My name is Rob. I am the executive producer of the clubhouse podcast, and I have a new shirt or four or five. You don't know. Don't judge me. I picked one up earlier tonight, and we're gonna talk about it here in a minute. But I am not alone. We are gonna bring the boys in. That way for me is my cohost and a man that what I'm gonna talk about is part of what he's gonna talk about. He is Alex. Hey. What's up? Oh, I am getting excited. I know we're going to be getting into it, but it's getting into the nitty gritty of our NFL previews because today is the NFC South, and that ain't gonna be pretty. At the bottom of your screen is the official the official fact checker of Sooner or Gator Productions and a man that's gonna be batching it next week. He's already ordered the dancing girls and the margarita machines. You may know him as Ik Bunu, but his mama named him Don Ford. I'm gonna call him Don Ford. Hey, man. Don't tell the fantastic pay for that, though. Oh, I already have. I said it right Okay. Hold on. Speaking of new shirts, wearing it for the first time. My little I actually was wearing mine yesterday. Nice. I With people store, we both went to at Fair Park. Mhmm. Yep. As mentioned at the top of the show, I am at a a remote location. I am still in Florida. I will be flying home on Monday. Next week, we're gonna be on Wednesday because, technically, Wednesday is opening day at the NFL, and we've got one more division to get through. We wanna do that before the season starts. So just make sure to be by the channel since the same time next week on Wednesday. Shout out to the Byrne family for putting up with my shenanigans for the last eight days and putting up with them for another four, But it's been a great time. I will tell you this. Lot of rain. Like Now he's just bragging. To tell you. No, to tell you how much rain we've dealt with. Brian and Jody have a pool. I watched the water level of that pool rise two tile heights, and it's up to the, to the concrete. The problem with that is when it rains, all I want to do is sleep. Yeah. That's true. But we're having a great time. I'm getting to see I got to see some great friends last weekend at the reunion. I'm getting to see my cousin tomorrow, which I'm very excited about because I haven't seen her in, like, fifteen years. Oh, wow. And got some lunches and breakfasts and stuff. And I heard that you are going to anger me by what you DoorDashed. Oh, no. You already know. Yeah. Oh. I DoorDashed for lunch today, one of Alex's favorite places on the planet. That is true. I had some It's only in Florida. I had some bistique Mhmm. And some I'd love La shout out to La Grana. Let's just say it. Absolutely. That green onion sauce. Mhmm. Holy God. And I had a had a some yellow rice with it and some plantains. It was a good day. And for dinner tonight, we went to Rock and Roll Ribs. Oh, there you go. For those of that don't know what Rock and Roll Ribs is, the drummer from Iron Maiden is guy by the name of Nico Brain. He lives here. And he opened up a barbecue place a few years ago. And every time I come home, we go out there for dinner. And in said place, I saw something. And I went so friend of the show, Tim Bradstreet, actually did one of their album covers. Okay. And it's hanging up on the wall in there. I took a picture of it, and I texted Tim, and I was like, dude, look what I saw. And he's like, that's crazy. You're in Florida. He's in he's gonna be at FanX in Tampa this weekend. Excuse me. Sorry. I don't know what is my allergies have gone nuts the last two days. Probably because It's all that rain. So if you're in if you're in the Tampa Bay area, go to FanX this weekend. Friend of the show Craig Price is moderating panels. He announced today he's gonna be moderating for Alec Baldwin. That'll be good. So but let's dive right in boys and get into some oh, actually, Alex, Alex, you wanna show the Bradstreet connection right now? Okay. I will be happy to because you were talking about this before on the show, I was how awesome, Tim Bradstreet was. But his book, Cinematica from Tim Bradstreet has come in where it has the artwork done from him talking about certain movies. Alright. Don, do you see that? Yeah. I do. The artwork. Yeah. Literally his drawings. None of those are photos. Yeah. Just randomly going dirty Harry. And these are some of his favorite movies that he's done artwork for that friends of his have done May done at eight four. I'm gonna go off camera for just a second. Give me just a moment. But it is phenomenal seeing all of the artwork in it. There's essays on certain movies. Rob, you know more than I do. Yeah. It's his 50 of his favorite films that he's done artwork for. This has been a a passion project of his for, like, the last three to four And Tim is the guy that revolutionized the Punisher. He's the one that made the Punisher dark. If you you've I guarantee you, especially if you've seen the Marvel Knights series of the Punisher, that's his artwork. He's also believe there's a thank you to him in the end of punisher war zone. His name is on the hotel. It's called the Bradstreet hotel. Wow. Okay. So question. While you're down there, did you get the garlic balls? Because I know he had to send that picture to rub it in. Do you think I went to Pramani and didn't get the garlic rolls done? Well, maybe I've I've just curious if they still had them because some do have them. Yeah. They do. And it's it's the only one left. They closed actually, maybe one of two, but the one I normally go to, they closed down. And I think they were all gone. And I took my niece and nephew out running around on Saturday, and I went, oh, that one's still open. That's where we're going. Yeah. I know. See. Got a couple of pizzas, brought them home. My nephew got the pastrami sandwich. He very much enjoyed it. Today is his birthday. Happy birthday, G. And this is what bugs me now is that there's a fraud conference in Pittsburgh, PA right now. And my boss is I think you need to clarify what you mean by fraud conference. A conference dealing with the subject of fraud to train other people about it. Yes. And they took they took the boss's boss, all these trainers, even took one of my coworkers who's ever been there, and they made me sit at home and they all went and said, we're in Pittsburgh. You just get to sit at home and not go. I'm still mad about that. I feel hurt. Well, I didn't even know how old man's out there. Don, did it feel like this? Yeah. Oh, it didn't do the thing. No. I'd still feel hurt. No. Yeah. They're all there right now. And I say, oh, by way, go to pirates game for Manny Brothers. Hit that. Do this. Do that. I won't be doing it, but you guys will. And, there is a boat campers in the airport. Apparently, they're shutting them all down, though. That's unfortunate. What's what in the airport? Boat campers is a sports bar They owned by a former dolphin great, Kim BoCampers. Okay. Alright. Alright, boys. Let's get into sports. Big news this week as Lionel Messi, as expected, has announced he is retiring from the Argentinian national team. He will not be playing for the team anymore, but then he scored, like, two goals in his first game back with inner Miami. So we're doing okay. Wrexham got a win yesterday. I'm very happy. Having a little bit of a rough go out of the gate, but we're on the board. Well, I know there's the big thing about Elliott Lee and his mutual departure and all the great that he did over the last few years. And Chelsea is two and o, I might add also, on their fixtures currently on standings. Gotta add that. I tell It was week zero of college football this past weekend. I wanna send a shout out to Old Dominion. I don't know if you saw this, Alex, but, their unis I can't remember if it was last week or this coming week. There was a school shooting in that area a while back. And they're swearing special Unis with the name of the serviceman who was the hero in that situation who lost his life, and they're putting his name on the back of the jersey. So he just looks outstanding. So I wanna bag on Old Dominion just because reasoned, but that that's a cool move. Oh, they're movers. They're movers. They win they did win in triple overtime last week, 42 to 40 over Morehead State. And not a lot of college football sometimes. Yeah. Not a lot of big because it was week zero. Mhmm. So your bigger matchups were gonna be the ones overseas. Yes. Like TCU getting asked to leave the premises because they played so badly. And Mac Engel does address that this week. Western Illinois beat Northwestern, 65 to 14. Northwestern back to normal. Yeah. Let's see. Furman with a big win over Anderson, South Carolina, 20 to three. Sucks to have the under in Concord Davidson as Concord wins that game 41 to 35. Let's see here. Not really seeing any of the West Florida since I'm here. They went in they went 31 to 30 thirty four thirty one over Southern Illinois. Central Arkansas wins by 12. Let's see. Anybody else I care to talk about? Let's see here. It's like, again, your, your week zero is not a lot of big, big names. Idaho loses to Cal Poly by four. North Carolina beats TCU 50 to 10. That was a heck of an ending to the Cal Poly game, though. If you go check that out, ESPN was touting it because of how it ended with the big play. USC over San Jose State, 42 to 26. But we really get things rolling this weekend with the holiday weekend. You know, you're gonna have a lot of the big matchups. Always a good weekend to watch college football. We're gonna talk a little NFL here in a minute. But before we get into it, let's, I did get finally, with ten minutes to spare before the show, I got caught up on the last two episodes of Hard Knocks. Oh, Okay. I'm gonna refer to this season's hard knocks the way I referred to a text to Alex when I described the casino at Dania Beach. It's a thing that exists. Yeah. But I do appreciate that they don't have a practice squad. They have a ready squad, and I dig that. Well, for what we normally and had been asking for this entire season of having more story, more stakes, or different things like that, Go to Netflix and check out quarterback because that show has been, no pun intended, elite for a few years now, and they do a really good job focusing on different aspects. Makes me like Cam Ward even more. Makes me respect Joe Flacco. Love seeing him call out Shadoor Sanders to his face during a practice. It was hilarious. Alright, boys. I am not ready for this. I mean, I am, but I'm not. You're in quotes ready? This week, we're gonna talk about the NFC South. And Oh, yeah. Would you like me to start you off with a statistic? That smell that you've that you're smelling is not the garlic rolls from last weekend. It's the NFC South. Rub it in. Well, the the statistic to open this up is over the last four years, would you care to guess what the winning percentage is for the entire division outside of division games? Three twenty. You are actually too low, but you're not far off. It's three seventy five. So if you take every team in the NFC South Thanks for asking me what I was gonna guess. It was a rhetorical question. Just open I was gonna say two fifty. Don, shut up. But you still wouldn't have gotten it. Okay. But still Outside of the division, the NFC South has only won 37 and a half percent of any games it has had across even when one or two of the teams were good. This is still alarmingly bad. And it's interesting because you look at it. No team is set at a number to have a winning record. Your highest is Tampa Bay, and we'll get to them last because alphabetically, we're gonna go through Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, and then Tampa Bay. Speaking of which, I figured out where my problem was when when I had the the the confusion between Vegas and LA being alphabetical. Uh-huh. Because it was by I was doing it by their abbreviation, not by the name of the city. Ah, okay. Well, that would still be LAC and LV. And they would have been first. And I had I had you went to the Raiders. Oh, okay. Yeah. You the the lowest versus loss, like I was mentioning. Correct. Correct. So getting to, the ATL. We we all know that they're going to be fantasy good because you have Bijon Robinson who's going to be a top two pick. Three if you're in a squirrelly league. You have Kyle Pitts who really came out last year with new coach Kevin Stefanski who has a history of using tight ends, and this is the first time Kyle Pitts is going into a season fully healthy. And then, of course, you have Drake London who broke out last year as well. But do they have a quarterback that can throw to Drake London because to his noodle arm, and I don't know if you saw him getting caught forgetting to switch to his burner the other day. Yeah. I read that story. But somehow Michael Penix is still worse than him. So the craziest thing with Atlanta was how baffling they were last year, and it matched Bijan Robinson if we wanna talk about fantasy and the real world. Did you know they were a top 12 team in the first half? Having a plus 54 differential. In the second half, it was minus 71, and they were bad. Your only carryover from last year is defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, who did some good work, but they also lost some key players without replacing them. And they were one of the few teams that all had that cluster at the top that was the absolute chaos of eight and nine all over the place. And they wound up with the twentieth heart or twentieth hardest strength of schedule or the twentieth easiest if you wanna go with that. It's bottom half. The new coaching staff should be good. But man, it can't be worse than it was last year because poor decision making, three and four in close games decided by a field goal or less and zero wins out of multiple games in overtime. Everything Atlanta tried to do failed. So they have nowhere to go but up. If you're looking for a fantasy angle on it, Bijan and Pitts are gonna be really good because Tua can't throw deep. So either London's gonna be running some shorter routes or he's gonna be dumping off to Bijan and Kyle Pitts a lot. I don't have high hopes for this team, especially when you look at the fact that they've lost some key defenders plus their best defensive player is suspended for the first eight games. Probably should have been kicked out of the league, but that's just my opinion. Yet, Sharp Analytics has their number set at seven and a half wins. I'm gonna come right out of the gate hot and say, I don't see more than four for Atlanta. Don, how many wins do you see for the dirty birds in Atlanta? Dirty birds. I like that. I'm gonna be nice. I still kinda like them. They still kinda have good luck sometimes at home, and I enjoyed it when I went to that city. So just on that kind of aspect, I'm not expecting much, but I think they may surprise on a couple games. I'm gonna say there's a chance they may get the final playoff spot at eight wins. Okay. So you have them slightly over the seven and a half at eight wins. Yeah. How about you, Rob? If your name ain't the braves, I don't trust you in Atlanta. Okay. Because hawks go hawk, falcons go falcon. Does that extend to outcast? Because I feel like we could trust them. I'm talking sports. That's fair. This is the sports segment. They got the buy in week 11. Mhmm. Already works against them. They have two, count them this many primetime games, and they're back to back. Monday night football at Green Bay. Lost. Seventy two hours later or I'm sorry. That's not Thursday. It's Sunday. So six nights later, Sunday Night Football hosting the Ravens. Yeah. That's a rough back to back. They are the home team overseas against the Bengals. Outside of those three games, the rest of their games are in the early set. So if you're going to church in Atlanta, you better make sure church gets out at noon so you're home by 01:00. There's only gonna be one team in this division with a winning record, And that team is going to have almost as many wins as the other three combined. Atlanta gets out of this season. They don't finish the season. They're gonna get out of this season with five wins. Okay. That I like it when we're all over the place because you and I are right there at the low end. Don has faith in them at eight and nine. I'm I'm gonna call out something you just said though. You said that there's gonna be a team with a winning record. To borrow another segment of this. Nana. I think none of them have a winning record, but we're gonna cover that when we get there. So shifting from Atlanta to Carolina where there could be some hope, but I'm about to rain on that parade like I'm Rob in Florida. Excuse me. They have the thirtieth thirtieth strength of schedule. So bottom three. On top of the fact that they had a negative 92 differential entering the fourth quarter across their games last year. 20 teams had eight or more wins like Carolina did. There were only two teams that did not have anything better than a negative differential over a field goal. Atlanta and Carolina were both double digits negative of all the eight win teams. I'm expecting a crash course from both of them. So, you look at it, if you isolate it to the playoff teams because Carolina is the team that backed into the playoffs last year. Let's not call it anything more than it was. With the third hardest strength of the schedule and facing playoff teams, they were negative 69 across all of those games. And when you play in this NFC South division, there's not a lot of playoff teams that they were against. So you know they were getting smoked. However, Carolina didn't have a great defense. Lost Ayshawn Robinson to, Tampa Bay, which is gonna be a big loss in the run, but they did sign two very key players in Devin Lloyd at linebacker and Jalen Phillips on the outside. Devin Lloyd has been and do everything linebacker from the middle ever since he came out of Utah. He's been the keeping his mouth shut and getting a 100 tackles plus every year, calling the defense for Jacksonville for many seasons before this. But Jalen Phillips really surprised me. You know, he was top five in pressure rate in all of the NFL last year. I genuinely looked at them giving him $30,000,000 and said, why? I had to look it up. The kid got home. He was pressuring quarterbacks all year. Number five in the NFL. So maybe it was a good signing. However, I like Dave Canales. He's done a good job coaching. He's gotten Carolina those wins when they shouldn't even had them with good decision making. But everything starts with the quarterback. And you could say, oh, we had good Bryce Young. We talked about it last year with him ascending. Well, the problem was is that was from a fantasy perspective, and that doesn't always translate to the real world. So allow me to just read just a few things on Bryce Young for you. He had his best statistical season in almost every category. 3,011 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, all his career best. But he also hit career highs of having negative point zero five expected points per attempt. Negative. 40% success rate. That's not even close to a D average 6.3 yards per attempt. Yikes in case you're wondering you want that to be higher and then you had 63.6% completion rate 60% is considered replacement level for quarterbacks. His best is 63.6. Oh, well, maybe there were other things. Oh, nope. He was thirty second in expected points. Thirtieth in the success rate. Thirty fifth, there's only 32 teams in yards per attempt and twenty fifth in completion rate. Bryce Young is going to have a very rough season and all of Carolina is going to suffer for it. Unless Jonathan Brooks can really be an absolute star out of nowhere after having missing the last two seasons to injury. I don't see this going well for them, but they do have some quality players in certain places on the defense. They are also set at seven and a half wins by Sharp Analytics, but I only have them one game better than Atlanta with five wins. So, Don, how many wins do you have for Carolina? I don't see expecting much for them either. Again, this is gonna be a rough, rough division. And, you know, also, they they are playing in the NFC North. Is that AFC North threat this year? Is that correct? Division? Allow me to double check on that one. I believe that is. Look. Go ahead. Yeah. So you're gonna have Baltimore. You're gonna have Pittsburgh. You're gonna have Cincinnati. You know? Cleveland, not a problem. You know, I think they'd do fine there. I'm just gonna give one up on you and say six. It is the AFC North. That is correct, Don. So you said six wins? Yeah. Alright. Rob, what about you for Carolina? I wanna win something I said earlier. There's still gonna be one team with a winning record in this division, and they're going to match everybody else combined. Okay. Oh. Carolina's just bad. They just are. Rico Dowdle. Yeah. Rico Dowdle cannot carry this team. Well, yeah, because he's in Pittsburgh. Exactly. Yeah. Thank you for picking up what I was putting down. I was making sure. Yeah. They've got the buy in week five. Sure. They've got one of each of the primetime games. Sunday night football hosting the lions. Good luck. L. Monday night football at the buccaneers. Good luck. Thursday night football at the Frozen Tundra. Good luck. I got family in Charlotte. I love my uncle Robert. I love my aunt Linda. I love my cousin Susan, her husband Gary. He's a cowboys fan, but we all have our faults. This team ain't gonna give but three wins. Oh. And that's me being generous because I two of them will be splits within the division. Oh, I that's exactly what I had for them getting to five. I gave them a way the ball bounces to get to mine. So, three, you're not, I, we're all pretty low on that one. Don, I was surprised you went above me on that. So, but I think our biggest contention might actually be in New Orleans because we have teased it earlier. I have said that there is a team that I like that I think will make the playoffs after being last in its division last year. We're here. Now I It really should have been hard knocks. Yes. And I know Rob does not agree with me because he has bashed the saints on regular occasions. But what we see oftentimes is these teams that come in last in their division that are actually ascending, not just seem to be ascending. New Orleans was actually a good team after Tyler Shuck took over, and coming in last in the NFC North got them the second easiest strength of schedule in the entire NFL. NFL South. Yeah. Yeah. And no. No. No. They they have the second easiest in the NFL. You said the the NFL the FC North. I was very confused. Oh, no. No. No. I I apologize. I I thought I only said NFL. But you have their aging superstars have retired into Mario Davis. Cam Jordan, we're not really sure. I believe he's going into TV, but we'll see if he comes back somewhere. Trying to chase a ring or something. And Kamara is already dealing with injuries at his age, but they did sign Travis A Chan junior out of Jacksonville who is going to fit perfectly into Kellen Moore's scheme because that kid is a wizard. And I you know what? He's too old for me to call him a kid anymore. Kellen Moore has done nothing but create offensive success everywhere he goes. And even Chuck was top two to three. A 28 rookies over the last five years have had at least a 100 pass attempts to qualify. He was second or third in every statistic of all of those. That includes number one overall picks. That includes guys who have been to the Pro Bowl. That includes all of these guys that actually got opportunities, and Shuck was better in a shorter time. But he was an older rookie coming out after seven years in college, so you kind of expect him to be a little bit ahead of the curve. But he was also seventh in EPA and had a four and o month, which the Saints had not done since 2011, since the Drew Breesier. Now I mentioned about Demario Davis on the other side of the ball retiring. He has, I don't wanna say been replaced because Demario Davis is an all timer. Excuse me, Demario Davis actually went to the Jets. He's not the one that retired. That's on me. That's the next team. But they signed Caden Ellis, who has always been an underrated linebacker to me. I think he's going to fill in admirably. Saints are gonna do what they do, but this offense is going to make them click. And especially when you look at it last year, they had some really poor luck with being last in red zone touchdown percentage and field goal percentage. It was ugly. So they either had to score touchdowns from deep or it wasn't happening. I think that'll get rectified with a full off season with, Tyler Schuck at quarterback. And if you want something to look at with that, just look at the last five games that he had. We mentioned about 63% not being good for Bryce Young. In his last five games, he had a 70% completion percentage over 1,400 yards. So almost half of Bryce Young's entire season and eight touchdowns in five games. I like what this offense is looking like. I don't know what the defense is gonna look like or gonna look like. So there's probably gonna be some fantasy gold here. Now, unfortunately, Jordan Tyson is dealing with injury yet again. But when he's healthy, he could be a number one receiver on almost any team. And that's only going to make the saints get better. So broken record for the NFC South, seven and a half wins for Sharp Analytics. This is the only team I have going over at eight wins and winning the division. Don, how many wins do you see in the Big Easy? Who that? Ain't that. I I'm on the lower opposite of that. I don't see much from them. I think if when they have the games with Carolina, I think Carolina are gonna win those games. I think they're gonna hit the gutter. I think they're I'm I'm only I and I like New Orleans and the stories and the history and how they came back after the hurricane and Gleason and all that. Mhmm. But ain't gonna cut it. I'm gonna go low. I'm saying four. Okay. Four wins. Yeah. Alright, Rob. A future, home base for you during a certain congress. How many wins for New Orleans? Bison week eight. Doesn't matter. They have one primetime game all season. Mhmm. And it's Monday Night Football hosting the aforementioned Atlanta falcons. They are overseas versus Don's Pittsburgh stillers. Because they're in the NFC, Fox gets first dibs on those games. CBS has the AFC. Fox has the NFC. Fox tends to concentrate more on the late set than they do the early set. CBS is the exact opposite because most of your AFC teams are East Of The Mississippi, so you're gonna wanna get them at that 01:00 start time Eastern. That being said, the New Orleans Saints have won 03:00 central game, won the entire season. If Fox ain't got faith in you, I sure as heck ain't got faith in you. And I love my New Orleans people, but you're gonna tie with Carolina three wins. Whoo. Knew it was gonna be juicy. I have more wins predicted than both of you combined. Yeah. Oh, I might look like an idiot. I'm gonna If I'll do respect, you're you're eight surprised me, Alex. I I I Surprised me. I fully expect this team to be better than people expect. I I understand that that's going out on a limb. And you know what? The last couple of years, I've been pretty good at calling this between Denver and Washington. This one I don't feel as confident in as I did with those. I will fully cop to that, but I do expect them to be in the division or excuse me, win the division. But we have one more team. Rob's beloved buccaneers. Believe it, brother. This is the only team that doesn't have a seven and a half win expectation from sharp analytics. They're at eight and a half. They also have the twenty third hardest strength of schedule and an entirely new defense, which let's be honest, they needed an entirely new defense because Well, they proved to win championships in that town. Yeah. But you also still have Todd Bowles who somehow still has a job and is a very bad coach. He is not a good coach. His defenses have literally been eighteenth every year for the last three years, and he's supposed to be a defensive wizard. Now the interesting thing with Tampa that works out in their favor is if you look over the last five to six years, there's been good offensive coordinator. He gets hired as a head coach. Bad offensive coordinator, the team is all bad. Good offensive coordinator, they get hired as a head coach and so on and so forth. So if you're keeping track, this year with Zach Robinson coming in should be a good offensive year because he also does come out of the McVeigh tree and has had some success. But they were fifty fifty against non playoff teams and o and eight against any team they were losing to at halftime. This team did not make adjustments. They are gonna have to change entire culture pieces. It was abysmal, and they still won eight games last year because you know what? I like Baker. Baker don't quit, but the opposing teams had a 70% touchdown rate in the red zone. That's obscenely high. The NFL average is closer to 50%, and they gave up 70%. You made the red zone you were in, but they were the fifth worst team in the NFL over the last five years. So if you take every defense for the last five years, last year's Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the fifth worst team over that entire time. They were thirty first and first downs allowed on top of just giving that up and they were thirtieth in success rate 20 in EPA against the rush and twenty seventh against the pass. This team was so bad. Levante David said. I'll I'll take the ring of honor in a while, but I'm not doing this anymore. He retired. That's who it was. They have an entirely new linebacking core with Josiah Trotter that they drafted. If you know that name, Jeremiah, his brother also plays and their dad was a great eagle. Plus, they signed Alex Anzalone out of Detroit. Who's had some good and bad, but he's had some really good when he has. The biggest problem they're going to run into is that this team fell apart when Jamel Dean wasn't on the field. And, I believe Don, you will now be rooting for Jamel Dean because he's no longer in Tampa and in Pittsburgh. But all of that said, Tampa still hung in there and had the twenty ninth most unhealthy team based on injuries and time lost. And it really crushed that offensive offense and the offensive line. Tristan Wurf's dealt with three different injuries and he's the best left tackle in the South right now. Then he might be in the NFL. The problem is that he's already dealing with another injury. He is back at practice, but soft tissue injuries tend to come back. So there might be something to Tampa in there that they have their own power station or something going on. But I still think they're the only other team that wins more than five games, and I have them tying New Orleans losing the tiebreaker at eight. Don, how many wins do you see for the Bucks? I think they win this this division. I gave eight to Atlanta. I'm sorry? I I gave eight to Atlanta. Okay. Sorry. I was looking at the wrong column. That's on me. And I and I kinda think I don't see much from this thing, and this will be kind of the talk of where where Rob says the point of you don't have a winning schedule, you shouldn't even get a playoff spot. Mhmm. A winning record. I think winning record. Sorry. Winning record. Correct. I heard what you meant. Yeah. Heard what it meant. I think that they will barely get that done so they won't have to deal with that issue this year at nine. Okay. That's it. So half a game over. Rob, you have been touting that this team, I believe, will have as many wins as the rest of the league or the less rest of the division combined. So you wanna say the number up front? Well, let's run it down. I said five for Atlanta. Uh-huh. Three for Carolina. Uh-huh. And three for New Orleans. Mhmm. That's 11. Yeah. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, my beloved Buccaneers. I I heard people talking about the big sombrero the other day, and that brought me joy. Tampa Bay is the prettiest girl at an ugly party this year. They could sweep the division. That's how bad this division is. Bye. Is it week 10? It doesn't matter because their schedule, I've been to cake walks that were harder. Sunday night football at the bears, that's a win. I don't care. The bears terrible. Monday night hosting the panthers. You better hope raw is, like, off that week, which they won't be. Trust me. They never are. Thursday night football at AT And T Stadium. That could be ugly football too because that team's not great. This is why I'm comfortable with the 11 wins because I just I don't this division is so terrible. It's not NFC West four years ago terrible when the team that won the division was below 500. And it's well documented on this show that I believe if you don't finish 500, you don't go to the playoffs. We just add another wildcard. 11 wins seems aggressive. I'm sure. But strength of schedule, it's like we talk about with college football. You can be undefeated, but when you play sister Mary's college for the blind every week, that doesn't tell me anything. Oh, and by the way, Brian does concur with that. He ran their schedule with me. He's a Ohio State fan. He ran that schedule with me. I'm like, yeah. Yeah. So, Rob, do you think that they'll win this six division games? All six division games in five more hours? I think of every division in the NFL this year, they have the best chance to run the table in their own division. Okay. I found the black and white version of the meme. If I can just a moment. Do you see them getting past Cleveland? Yeah. Okay. What about Cincy? This is literally what the NFL I'm not gonna run down their whole schedule with you. Yeah. I was just wondering about the North. Do you think No. Definitely. I'm talking about in division, Don. Yeah. I know. I know. I know. But do you see Outside of the division, I could see them beating both teams from Ohio because both teams from Ohio are bleh. Okay. Pittsburgh could give them fits. Yeah. I mean, it's they're just they're that team. Pittsburgh's a team that and they are literally the any given Sunday team in the NFL. Because number one, they traveled only team that comes close to them from a travel standpoint is Dallas. Distillers, it just depends on which version of the distiller shows up that week. Consistently that has been their MO. I think they can give Tampa Bay fits because they've put some key people in some key places. I love Baker Mayfield. Do I think Baker Mayfield is better than Brad Johnson? I absolutely do. And that man got a ring with that team. Yeah. Defense wins championships. That's what Tampa Bay both times. And as much as I respect Tom Brady, that defense carried him too. Yep. So I don't think this team's gonna carry them. They'll win the division, but they ain't gonna make it any further. They'll lose their first playoff game no matter who it is. Yeah. I I feel like the safest bet on this one is that only one team comes out of this division for the playoffs. Absolutely. Absolutely. And I I see, like, Baltimore. I see Baltimore beating just about anybody in this division. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. Because they're a good team. Yeah. Honestly, you you want the the crazy bit in this? I feel like this is the only division where Cleveland beats maybe more than one of them. Okay. You know, it's it's a thing. Next week, NFC West. Y'all To wrap this thing up as the game start in Sydney. Melbourne. Oh, I thought it was Sydney. I like Sydney better. I've never been to either one. Let's get into Major League Baseball. Let's talk about it, boys. Okay. What happened to my oh, I lost my tab. Hold on. That's just the man trying to keep me down. We are going to the American League East as we always do start this segment. Oh, I don't wanna I don't want the playoffs yet. We're gonna be back next week. No. We start in the AL East. I always thought we started in the West for some reason. No. We we start in the East, and we end in the East. Okay. That's why I was thrown off. Oh. Baltimore, they are 14 and a half games out there, a half game back on Toronto. Blue Jays now six and a half back on Boston. The Red Sox now five games back on the Yankees. Tampa Bay holding on to a three and a half game, win, game thing in that Game lead. I'm on vacation. My brain's gone. And it's central. Kansas City's still terrible, but they're only 11 games back. They are two and a half games back of Detroit. Tigers are now two and a half back on Minnesota. Twins are three back on Gergens, and Cleveland is now three back on Swiss. And before we move on, I have to ask a question. Sure. There have been a number of people who have reached out. Can you explain why you call the White Sox Swiss? This is a reference to the ticket back in the day. And if you watch them play, the initials on the screen are CWS. Swiss. Oh, okay. It's my personal shout out to our boss. In the AL West. By the way, in case you needed an update, we have one excuse me, boys. One, two, three. There are now six teams in the AL above 500. In the AL West LA, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Orange County, California, America, North America, Earth, Milky Way, Universe, Multiverse. They're 18 and a half games back in the division, but they're only a game back on homeless vagabonds. Homeless vagabonds are now 12 back on the Mariners. I'm gonna be so mad when we don't call them the homeless Vagabonds. It's growing on me. I'm just being still just on just general principle. Seattle's currently three back on Texas, and Houston Houston Houston is holding on to a two and a half game lead in that division. We now go to the National League West where it is apparent that Shohei Ohtani will be shut down from a pitching standpoint for the rest of the season. Last night, we're going o for four, struck out all four times. Oh. But again That's Umbrero. Well, here's my thing. Shohei is allowed to. Yeah. Like, you're allowed to go o for four every once in a while. It happens. Law of averages, when you play a 162 games in a season, you're gonna have an off game. Shoahake, O'Connor is a beast. He can have that game, and he'll bounce right back and go four for five with a grand slam the next day. Well, it it it's the old Babe Ruth thing of everybody remembers all the home runs. You don't remember. They struck out more than anybody else, but you know what? You take the cuts. Yep. Colorado Rockies. Don, you'll be happy to know that they are 28 and a half games out of first place. Wow. But still, you're letting me down. They're three and a half back on the Giants. San Francisco is now stay with me, San Francisco is now 15 and a half games back on the Padres. Padres are making a push. San Diego's a half game back on Arizona, and, gallon of nachos is now nine games back of the dodgers. Can I tell you why that makes me giggle when you call them gallon of nachos? Because Farva? Because one of their regular all stars is Zach gallon. Nice. They that's what they should call they should call the Zach Gallon. Come on, Arizona. Get with it. Do we have to do everything for you? I'll send my resume. In the central, the Cincinnati reds are terrible. They're 20 games back. Don, they're breathing down your neck, though. You're only a game and a half up on the reds, but you're also a game and a half back on the cardinals. Mhmm. Saint Louis now, eight games back on the cubs, and Milwaukee is holding on to a nine game lead in that division. And then the only division that matters, the NL East, the Mets sorry, Alex. 20 games out right now. No. Thanks, Tom. You're three games back on the Natnalls. By the way, heard today that the Natnalls not only have the worst bullpen record in the league, they've also got the highest bullpen ER in the league. That doesn't surprise me. Natinals are five back on my my Marlins. Marlins are eight back on the Phillies, and Atlanta who ripped off six in a row this past week. They are now my beloved Braves are holding a four game lead in that division. Alright, gentlemen. It is time for North America's favorite game show, and it remains. What is the run differential for homeless Vagabonds? Now I wanna clarify. I only saw one game from them this week, but they did win by five. So, Don, do you wanna lead off with your round numbers? Yeah. My why not? I kinda overdid it last week and still Colorado, you're letting me down, Seamus. Mhmm. I'm gonna say maybe a little I can go a little conservative. I was thinking two twenty five, but I'm gonna do the negative two ten just in case. Alright. You give two ten. I I'm gonna stick to minus one seventy five every time he goes up. Okay. Only a third of this division of this of this league in the American League. Only a third of the the 15 teams are in the green when it comes to run differential. That's so bad. In contrast, the National League, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, almost double that in the National League. Well, mathematically, that does kinda balance out a little bit. I will say, last night, I looked at the standings because I just wanted to see where they were. Last night, homeless vagabonds had a run run differential of minus two zero one. Oh. So I said, uh-oh. Uh-oh. It's getting real boys. We may see back to back minus threes. Currently, the the, homeless Vagabonds are fifty four and eighty six. That's a three eighty six win percentage. Not a bad batting average, terrible win percentage. Better than the NFC South. 17 and a half games out of first place. And we have played a 140 games, which means we have 23 games, 22 games left in the regular season. They're twenty five and forty four at home, twenty nine and forty two on the road. Four and six in their last 10. Now something must have happened last night. Mhmm. Because currently, closest without going over is Alex because that run differential has dropped to a minus one ninety four. Oh, that's a bigger so they were by seven. Seven last night. They they they know that this show comes up on Thursdays, and they're like, we need to put the pressure on on Wednesdays so that we could say we lowered it. We need to not be the white sox. Alright, boys. Let's get into TV talk. Uh-oh. And and and a a loss of a piece of my generation this past week. If the words Autobots transform and rollout mean anything to you amongst the 97,000 other shows that this man did. We lost Peter Cullen at the age of 85. I I I will say most recently, I have lauded the show Invincible many times. He had a major role on that and I remember hearing his voice pop up and it was just, it was like the childhood calling to me. Like, I know masters of the universe missed me, but transformers, I was right there. And But he did It's a battle. So much. Like, if you go to his IMDB page, block out a day. Yeah. Because there's so many shows that he was between him and Frank Welker. Yep. You know, they were attached at the hip for a chunk of their careers. Yeah. Especially with Transformers because Welker was Megatron. Like Yep. He was the voice of generation x. Yep. You know, his his shows raised us on weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings. And in some cases, weekday mornings depending on where you lived. And the the story about his brother who was a war hero and how that formed how he saw Optimus Prime is still one of the most touching things I've ever heard. So please, if you do anything, go look that up as a tribute. Don, did you have anything you wanted to add? No. And I will say this. To the people that are trying to pin this on Rodinus Prime, I need you to step off. By the way, that CD's waiting for me at my house right now. Yeah. It showed up the day after I left. Of course. I found a CD that's metal bands doing all the songs from the soundtrack of transformers the movie, and I can't wait to listen to it. Stuff we watched this week, 90% of my viewing is in the next segment of the show. Yeah. And we'll now we'll talk about why here in a little while. But I like I said, I did finish Hard Knocks today. Mhmm. I will probably catch up on Ted Lasso when I get home. But, yeah, it's just been nonstop. I got Brian's wife to start watching Zillow gone wild, and that brings me joy. Because they just wrapped up season three. I that show is so wheels off in in the best possible way. If you're not watching Zillow gone wild, do yourself a salad. It's on HGTV. It's it started as a Facebook group slash Instagram page of the most outrageous houses in the world. And Jack McBrayer hosts it. Oh, which also brings me joy. The first season was like a tournament. And then seasons two and three, they've just been every week. But they had one this season. It was a three story house in New York. It was an open and it was an open floor plan because on one side of the house were three rock climbing walls that went all the way above. It was like five bedrooms, three baths. I think I've actually seen that house. $20,000,000. Yeah. Got that on me. Boys, anything you watch this week? Greacher continues to be one of my favorite watches every week. I cannot say enough good things about it. They always find the right way to keep you on your toes. Whoever is translating or transferring the books to screenplay, they are not getting paid enough. And you know I'm always gonna show love to Big Al. So. Don, what you got? Yeah. To keep up to my morbidity from last week, they it was one of the top shows on Netflix. More. Batedy? Morbid. Morbidity. Okay. I was like, what? Is he asking for more Ned Beatty? I don't know what's happening right now. Okay. The the Netflix death of the pastor's wife, multi, like, three or four shows. I saw the trailer for this. Holy cow. Yeah. Interesting. If and, of course, it's not the, you know, love y'all, year all, but it's it's kind of the she passed away in the questions of some people don't believe the official stance. Put it that way is all I'm gonna say. Then also the Morbility, a true, documentary, real life documentary of a bunch of, I call them killers. It was lying on the Disney. So yeah. Mean, that's one way to market it, I guess. Yeah. They my line, a true story about a bunch of killers. But I see what you did there, Don. No. You're not lying. That's what you did there, Don. No. We watched all of it. It was good. I just think it put too much of the these poor innocent little creatures. Oh, boohoo. No. You know? They're I understand nature going up in Montana and that, you know, if not, it's population control stuff like that. But it was interesting to watch this story of this one line do the whole and we've watched all four episodes, and Faith loved it. So that's all that Alright. So ABC, Hulu, ESPN, Disney Plus this week, they have canceled Love Overboard after one season. This was think this was produced by the Alex Earl, if I'm not mistaken, or someone of her ilk. CBS Paramount Plus has said season four of Tulsa King will kick off on October 16. Happy birthday. For that. HBO Max, TBS, TNT. Interesting announcement from them this week. Starting September 17, once a week, they're gonna stream the best that week of Howard Stern. Interesting. So we got that going for you. I guess they're running out of programming elsewhere. And Shaq is happy because they have renewed dunk man for season two. I feel like that should be a contest for eating Oreos, but that's just me. Yeah. Netflix has renewed big mistakes for season two, and they have renewed tires for season four. Everybody I know that watches it loves it. I just can't bring myself to it. I when Shane Gillis from Saturday Night Live was funny. Oh, and by the way, Don, you asked last week about Yeah. When the new season of SNL starts. It will be September 26. Yeah. They haven't announced to who the who the host is yet. Okay. What? So tires was the one what was the other one you talked But but I don't think it it I think it because it was so subtle when you pushed it in there. I don't think it went it came through. That's what I'm saying. Okay. So you said tires, and what was the one before tires on Big mistakes. Okay. Just t TV on DVD and Blu ray this coming Tuesday, season one of mobland, which Tom Hardy is back. It's going forward. Season one of My Hero Academia Vigilantes. Also, season three of Tulsa King as we're getting ready for season four. Season seven of Shaun the Sheep. I feel like that's a good show just to watch. Like, if you if you're just having a rough go of it, watch some Wallace and Gromit. Watch them Shaun of the Sheep Shaun of the Sheep. Although they did Shaun, they did Shaun of the Dead, like the Sheep of the Dead or something like that. Yeah, they did. The Looney Tunes Collector's Vault Volume three. See, that seems on time. And Star Trek, the original series sixtieth anniversary collection, because it is the sixtieth birthday of star star Trek this week coming up. A lot of things going on, especially next Saturday, which we'll talk about here in a moment. Movies and stuff we watched this week, I don't have any movies. I did see we've got, we got a bunch of stuff today, but it's all shutter. So Yeah. Well, actually, there are some other ones. There's a companion Email. It's not all horror movies including one that also features a friend of the show in one big Al for Motor City. Oh, is it is that one in there? Because I didn't see that in the in the email. Okay. Because that I do wanna watch. So I I haven't watched any movies this week. Raw or Don, have you? Yeah. First off, Shudder, was that a series or a movie or what? No. It's a channel. Oh, It's a horror movie channel. Yeah. Because okay. Alright. So I did watch one which came out a few years back. It was on HBO, and I never saw it. I never even knew that really kinda came out. It's Keanu Reeves with Knock Knock where No. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. We're yeah. It's A very easy Anna DeArmas in that film. Yeah. So it was interesting, and, of course, faith is yelling that to TV saying, you idiot. You know, that kind of thing. So but it was there. I didn't really remember that. And it's like, okay. I'll watch that, and we kinda look at it. Supergirl does hit HBO Max on Thursday. Yeah. Okay. So, Danny Ramirez has joined the cast of Miami Vice 85 That's good. And Austin Butler's just walking everywhere shirtless because he can. If I looked like that, I wouldn't own a shirt. Big announcement on the ticking and the talking this week. Anne Hathaway has joined the Days of Thunder sequel. Very funny announcement if you haven't seen it. It's set for 06/02/2028. Did you see anything about her character? From what I've read, she's going to be a rival team owner. I didn't see that it was rival, but I heard engineer and team owner. So Yeah. There's going to be probably some f one inspiration there. And he he was like, yeah, we're getting ready to film it. And goes, I'm gonna go have a baby first. And he goes, yes. Go have the baby first, and then we're gonna film. So Alec is a look on, look at him on TikTok. It's it's adorable. We do want to let you know that September 12 is the It Came From Texas Film Festival in Garland, celebrating sixty years of Star Trek, and your local Alamo will be showing five of the movies with one of the episodes from the original series Oh. Each night. So we've got the only guy that's ever won an Oscar for a Star Trek movie is gonna be there. He's gonna bring some of the props and talk about all the things. We'll get you more information on that next week on the show. Moving new releases in places you get moving new releases this week. Because there were so many unanswered questions, we get fall to dead point. But the first one sucked so bad. About three weeks ago, they about three weeks ago, they did the first one on HTTGM. It's so bad. And by the way, this week's episode is owed to Billy Joe. I'm about a third of the way through it, and it's glorious. We have a we have a documentary on the Sara Bareilles called Good Grief this week. By any means, I was really hoping we were gonna get the screen for this one. Yeah. But we didn't. But this is Mark Wahlberg in yeah, worst the worst prosthetic ever. Based on a true story, he's a mob guy who gets hired by the government to help in the Deep South in the 60s. Per Diaia continues to be awesome Love in him. What's it called again? Sorry? Called By Any Means. Oh, By Any Means. Okay. Right. Thinking. Onslaught is this week. We talked about this one about three weeks ago. I'm hearing some good buzz about it, but I, I'm on the fence. Yeah. I don't know. We also I'm always have hesitant when they're like, let's hire an athlete to play a major role. And I'm like, hey, don't eat us English, not a strong suit. Yeah. I just, I don't know. It's, it looks like soldier in a different form. Like, it could be good, but it might be a little too creepy. You know what I mean? We also this week have where'd it go? Ah, there it is. Jillian Anderson's latest called The Salt Path. This is back to back weeks for her because she's also in Love and Sex at Love, Sex and Death at Camp Misma. This is a couple lose their home and later discover the husband has been diagnosed with a terminal illness as they embark on a year long coastal trek. Jason Isaacs is also in this. Oh, he's great. Yeah. Big fan of him. Also this week, we have a new Tom and Jerry animated film. Oh, really? Tom and Jerry Forbidden Compass. Only reason I knew that is because we saw stand up for it. It's theater a couple weeks ago. Realize that was this week. And we also have the girl in the river. This has Ralph Macchio, Tiffany Haddish, Devin Sawa, and Maggie Grace in it. We are all over the place with that cast. A seasoned criminologist and a young female psychologist are lured to a remote American town to investigate the murder of a little girl and the disappearance of her twin sister as they crawl inside the killer's mind in a race against time. Let's see. There's a lot going on there. Andrew Stevens is in this. David Moncrief. I like him. Lucy Blair. That's about it. So that's your new releases this week. Movies on DVD. It begins Tuesday, boys. Batman Nightfall part one. Mhmm. The animated movie that they're basing on Nightfall is gonna be a three parter. Volume one drops on Tuesday. Also, Minions and Monsters, which I absolutely loved, comes out Tuesday. Passenger, this is a horror film, hard pass. We talked about Supergirl. That's actually hitting Blu ray and DVD and four k this week. Annihilation, not Mortal Kombat Annihilation, just Annihilation gets a four k steelbook. Arrival also gets a four ks Steelbook. We're getting a special edition of hundreds of beavers from a couple years ago, because America clamored for that. Also getting a thirtieth anniversary four ks Steelbook for First Contact. Nice. Very excited about. And Criterion that the one that was Tom Hardy's first movie? No, that's Insurrection. First Contact is, is they go back in time. Oh, Should be seeing the board. I Yes. That one's got Cromwell in it. Yes. And so criterion collection has a four k for 12 angry men, the the OG this week. Oh, really? Yes. Alright. And now I'm gonna come over here, and I'm gonna click this, and then I'm gonna click this. It's time to get into the cheap podcast as we talk about the week that was and a little thing we like to call our sport, the sport of professional wrestling. I'm tired. Mhmm. Uh-oh. There was a lot. From Friday night to Sunday dinner, there was twenty hours of programming that I had to get through. I got caught up yesterday. I'm tired. Mhmm. But we're gonna talk about all of it. Now I may get to a point where I'm gonna have you guys talk because I don't think I'm gonna make it all through this segment unless I go to the bathroom. MLW has announced Tessa Blanchard has signed. She's gonna work fight land this weekend. Yeah. I did watch one of the things I watched this week, I did watch, NWAM power. Mhmm. It was a little over total wrestling time was about an hour forty because it was clocked at 02:15, but there was like a ten minute buffer in the beginning, and then they took a twenty minute intermission in the middle. It wasn't all women, though. Oh, really? Yeah. There was one there was there was a men versus women tag of Kenzie and Kylie Page against the southern gentleman, and then Carson Drake rustled Effie. So but it was a decent show. The audio was terrible because it was one of those usually is. It was one of those, like, you could hear the commentary fine, but if anybody said anything in the ring, it was it sounded like it did at the football game last Friday where apparently Charlie Brown's teacher was doing all the the commentating. TSW. If you're gonna do a show, just gonna throw this out there. If you're gonna do a show and you're gonna do multiple tapings at one time, maybe when you air a program on August 29, maybe don't advertise people to get tickets for your show on July 18. I'm not saying. I'm just saying. Well, do you think it's possible they intended to show it earlier and then Well, guarantee you, they did. Yeah. But I was like, come on, guys. It's a quick edit before you go to air. Or just cut it. Oops. Lord have mercy on my soul. TNA news. Mhmm. We had some title changes happen I had a title change happen on Impact because you have your first knockouts television champion crowned in m by elegance. That one surprised me just a little bit, but I see why. And enter Zoe Serrano, the former Zoey Stark. She'll she'll she'll has her first match tonight. She said she's not doing any of the high flying stuff anymore. She says Well, I mean, she has an MMA background. So Well, her quote was boots on the ground. That's it. WWE announcing that crown jewel will be set November 7. Yep. And we're gonna get Wrestlepalooza Perth on December 12. Apparently, well, apparently, it's a three year deal. We're getting a they're getting one plea a year over there for the next three. Oh, no. I have no problem with it being over there. Wrestle Palooza is just a terrible name. And that is allegedly going to be the start of the John Cena classic. Yeah. We'll see. SmackDown, your number one contender is who the heck knows? Yeah. That's what I got. And from Raw, apparently WWE not happy right now. Nope. Because I watched Raw yesterday. And that opening segment Or at least the parts that weren't blurred out. That, that, that's kind of where I'm going. Well, I wasn't saying why. When they pulled Jay out of the car, if there was any blood, they mosaic ed it out. Mhmm. And I was like, did I miss a meeting? When did this start? So there was that. And I want you guys to talk about that just a little bit because I really need to step away from it. Well, kinda go in because I didn't watch raw. Okay. I got it. Yeah. But at that same time, they did the whole thing, and there's multiple levels of this being a bad decision. So I wanna walk you through this, Don. Yeah. Go for it. Bloodline pulls in in their rental car. Okay. Royce Keys and OTM rip in behind them in an SUV. Okay. Smash up the car, beat up the Usos. Alright. Leave them really bloody. Like Okay. You know, remember the old shots where they would start just looking at the puddles on the ground? Uh-huh. Yeah. I remember. It was like that except that after the live broadcast, everything was like fuzzed. Everything was mosaic so you couldn't see. So you just had a bunch of time where they were just looking at nothing essentially because Jay had a big cut on his forehead. Jimmy got beat up. They broke the car. Jacob accidentally dropped a an f bomb live on air twice. So it was it was not a good start. But then on top of it, we know this is scripted. Right? Yeah. We're we're in the know on that. I don't know anybody that still thinks it's real above the age of six. And and also, if I can real fast is that they could have pretaped it too. Oh, no. No. But I'm I'm trying to talk about something else real quick. Yeah. But on top of it, it basically was almost like booking giving the finger to the women's division because they were opening with the women's IC title match between Sol Ruka and Raquel Rodriguez. Okay. Those are single r's. I need him to stop rolling the r's in the wrong place. But they basically preempted over the beginning and introduction of that for cutbacks to the back on this Oh, yeah. Situation. So it was it was it was bad on multiple levels. It was I mean, it was an okay episode overall, I think. Yep. Penta and Phoenix saved it from being a bad episode. I very much enjoyed that match. Those dudes could have a a five star match with blindfolds legitimately on because they know each other that well. I nor under normal circumstances, I would just let you run with this next bit. But since I watched it Uh-huh. I wanna talk about Hola de Colore because it was a thing. For those of you wondering, the LWO is still a thing. Sort of. Yeah. The the women's gauntlet match with Flama costing her faction mate the match. Very interesting happenings there. I appreciate us. I appreciate I appreciate the fact that Thea Hale was involved. I thought she did a great job. Very much enjoyed that. Very creative I believe it's it's either her boyfriend or Roxy's boyfriend that is under the mask, Kane style in the overalls. Oh, okay. I think it's actually Thea. Okay. Because it's big body hobby. Yeah. I like the ending to the war machine match because the way it ended, actually for broken clock being right twice a day, they had the right camera angle. Sir, I wanna clarify that AAAA has had the correct camera angle many many times. Right. But law of average is being what it is. But what I'm saying is is they have been doing great work in every aspect. It is shockingly impressive. So you didn't see it till the replay, but the fact of Ivar tucking the belt under him because because the guy jumps off the top rope and hits his head, you're just like, that was weird. Uh-huh. Because that first angle, it was like, why why did that happen? Kept me intrigued, got me there. Plus you're using somebody large enough to hide said belt for a change. And I need you to hear me. Uh-oh. If you want me to watch your programming on a replay, which I did, because some of us have to go to church on Sunday mornings, don't put spoilers as your thumbnail. Yeah, that's that's true. Thumbnail for that show was La Parka holding up the belt. It's a gorgeous belt. Don't get me wrong. I'll tell you what else is a huge upgrade. Don't know if you saw this, but Persephone unveiled the new CMLL women's title. Oh, I didn't see this. Beautiful belt. Gorgeous belt. Because that belt I was not a fan of. It was very blah. Right. But La Parka is your new Latin American champion. Mhmm. So and as we know, Booker t wrestled him. We found out from an NXT standpoint, Halloween havoc is now going to be Halloween night on CW. Stone announced that during heat wave, where if you're, I'm gonna tell you something. If you're looking for a, this might be a record for number of belt changes in one weekend. Possibly. If you go from Thursday to Sunday, there, we were in double digits. Was it really double digits? New women's new knockouts TV champion. Well, counting that. Right. But I'm counting that because it's it's somebody's been doing before. It's a new it's an and new. Right. La Parka. That's two. So now let's run HeatWave. Speed title Yep. Which then is relinquished. By the way, both men's and women's speed titles are no more. As of as of last night or two nights ago. New tag champs in the vanity project Mhmm. And new North American champion in the vanity project. We got new, Jackson Drake. Grayson Waller wins the title. He had a really good match, but the problem was half the crowd was gone Yeah. Because they were exhausted. Miles Bourne turns. So that's already six people with new belts. Uh-huh. Okay. And that's just we just got to heat wave, which I thought was a good show. Mhmm. Three hours is long at that point, but they did a good job with what they what they said they were gonna do. Mhmm. Then you get to regular NXT. We're gonna put that number six on ice for a minute. Creed Brothers return Yep. On NXT. And I had a thought while I was watching NXT this week. And I I need you to roll with me on this a little bit. Okay. Because when I say this, I feel like Alex, I feel like your initial reaction is going to be, I don't wanna say negative, just not positive. Okay. Do we need to give Thea Hale the Evolve women's title? Need is an interesting word. Because I was as I was watching that match with her and Nikita Lyons, Belt was not on the line. Part of me thinks that Evolve in general needs a Thea Hale to lead that women's division because of the nature of what Evolve is. If I can parallel this, what we've seen in the past, are you seeing Thea Hale to evolve as we had previously Samoa Joe and Finn Balor going back to revitalize the title? Just to help that division overall. And and not but not on this on the I'm gonna have the belt for two or three weeks and give it to somebody else. I I think where you're coming from with that, but I think they already have her earmarked for Mexico, Which I get, but your first problem is to draw on 2B. Yeah. Again, if you're not on a major network, I'm not watching, dude. I got, there's so much programming right now. And I feel bad for Evolve, because I would love to be able to watch their product. I got too much. It's too But if you're going to be on Tubi, at least have somebody that would make me go, You know what, I might think about watching that. Yeah. No. And if you were gonna have somebody, Dia Hale is an absolute star. It's just the fact that they've never fit her in anywhere other than the chase you angle, which got nuked. Just something to think about. No. I I see where you're coming from. The only I I like where your head's at, but I feel like that's Dia Hale should be in the NXT championship picture, and somebody like Kehlani Jordan should be doing the evolve thing. Okay. Seven, because Kehlani wins. Now we get to all in, and I got notes for all in. Yeah. Uh-oh. No. All in was this is what mania should have been. Mhmm. All in was exactly what WrestleMania should have been. And I'm saying it, and I'm not taking it back. There's Brian. Hi, Brian. First of all, let's just start with the logistics. That entryway was fantastic. Yes, it was. Because it worked from multiple angles. That would look unique from those angles. That's what blew my mind. I was like, is that the it is the same entrance. Like Mhmm. It worked fantastically. It's like they framed it from multiple angles as if it was the only angle and it worked perfect. And I'm glad I texted Alex Monday night because the audio on the buy in was a mess. Yeah. So I texted Alex, and I'm going because I I had my headphones on, and not these, my, my wireless JBLs. When I first got them on a different, I had them hooked up to a different laptop. There was problems with the audio in them. Like I was on the phone with JBL for like an hour, trying to figure out why I couldn't get these things to work right. So I thought I was having the same problem because now I put them into a new laptop and now they're like, let's go build some rigmarole again. Because the the audio, first of all, it took them a half an hour to turn Frenchie's mic on. You've already got it. It's a strike with me. That's my dude. Yeah. Secondly, the commentary on the matches on the buy in, it sounded like it was, I guarantee is what happened. They were pumping the commentary into Wembley. Didn't think it was that. I thought they were duplicating feeds. It didn't because it still sounded somewhat clean. It just sounded doubled. So I texted Alex, and I'm like, Is this a thing? And he said, Yeah, you're gonna have that for about forty minutes. Yep. Which we did. Sometimes I may take notes and I go, it's kind of genius. The team that I am now I am now calling because we have the bang bang gang. I am now calling these guys the boom boom crew. Boom boom crew. They are now the cruiser weight title because they're on every pre show. Yeah. On in a match that I was like, sure. Put it on the buy in. No. I hate it. I hate it so much. Lashley Zoom. Go to Lashley spearing Shane Taylor. Oh my god. I don't know how he got up. I really don't. Because Lashley speared him into the middle of next week. Yeah. But Lashley has always thrown the weakest spear in wrestling. Yeah. But that one was hard. That one went crazy. Just just gonna because I'm a giver. I give. AW to the truck, to the production truck. Give you a little tip. Little tip from your uncle b. Go to the long shots when people are calling moves. Yeah. There were at least five times on the buy in alone that they were on a close-up and you're seeing one, two, or are you ready? Like, come on guys. You're professionals. Expect more. Don, how much do you know about all in? I saw some of the things at the end, but that's really about I mean, I saw I found out who won. I I looked at the results. Okay. So do you know what happened on the buy in? No. So MyoWorld loses the TBS title, shock, to Persephone. That's eight. A masked woman hits the ring and costs her the match. Now logic would dictate that it was because Cheetah has and you even heard Brian Danielson, who was on commentary, and I'm thankful for it because I love that man. You even heard Brian Danielson go, well, we know who she's been having problems with lately. Incorrect. When the hood was taken off to show the mask, Don Yeah. The mask was black and gold. Welcome back, d m d. No. Yes. She's back. But they did they did rebuilding the band. No. She pulled the mask off in the ring. Oh, so it was The mask. I was like, okay. Wait a minute. Hold on. There's something to this. Well, and hitting the or putting her in the lockjaw Yeah. Or taking off the mask. Oh, I see. I thought that pointing that area. Yeah. When she put the lockjaw on, the announce table lost their minds. They're like, oh, wait a minute. Like, it almost felt like they didn't know, and I love those moments. Uh-huh. That's why I subscribed to the Gordon Soley thing. If I ever get to do that, don't give me cues in my ear. I wanna see it like the fans see it. Gordon Sutley never had his headset plugged in, because he didn't want to hear the cues from backstage. That's why he's the GOAT. Mick sipping test, Techless drink while she was standing on the announce table. That was wonderful. Okay. And you and you got that quick glimpse. They didn't cut away fast enough, and you saw my friend Tekla because she turned around and was like, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It's like, no. We were supposed to be gone. I love the name of the team that didn't have lower thirds this week at all, because they are now the good, the bad, and El Guapo. Yes. Would you say I have a plethora of trio teams? A plethora. Hey. For the record, that was one of my favorite things because when they kept calling it that, I was like, what stupid thing are we gonna do? What stupid thing are we gonna do? I loved it. I was so glad it turned into a wrong And just the big the big the big good bad on the screen. Yes. With the lower, the angle up to make it look that much bigger. I okay. So I wanna go back to logistics because just as much as we criticize, we also have to give flowers. I wanna give flowers to Tony Khan because under normal circumstances, that trio's battle royale Mhmm. Bleeding into the main card, I would go, come on, bro. Yeah. But bleeding into the main card with only the mystery team left Yep. Which we all knew what that was gonna be. We've said it we've said it on this show Absolutely. And they'll wait. They did it. Leonard Anderson stopped texting me during pay per views. I love that man. But I'm glad I didn't look at that until after I watched it. Yeah. Swerve came out, and you wanna talk about milking it. Oh, but did you notice what the train almost was almost as bad as when we were waiting for Cody to show up at WrestleMania. Yeah. But but did you notice the tribute? Go for it. It was a big e style coat coat he was wearing. Oh, was it? Yes. Now called the new level. And the way they hit it with ASAP ASAP Ferg. Oh. And and Xavier Creed with the with the Austin. Scott Scott oh, Austin Creed with the with the Scott Hall curl and new trios champions. So now we're in we're in triple digits of people with new belts. Yeah. And we're not even and we're still in the buy in. No. No. That's at nine. For three people? Oh, okay. If you're doing multiple people. Number of people with new belts. Gotcha. So we're now we're at what? 11? Yeah. The brawling birds win the women's tag titles. 13. Now we're at 13. Yeah. And that was a great match too. That that could be the most underrated match of the night. Moxley McGinnis was a clinic. Yes, it was. If you are a young person and you are looking to break into the world of professional wrestling, I urge you, I beg you, I demand not Ricochet style, that you go and watch that match over and over and over and over until you have it memorized because that that is what the ROH pure division wants to be. I genuinely thought he was leaving his boots in the ring. I did too, but I was like, don't do that. Don't do that because you still gotta wrestle Lee Moriarty. I do like how they brought him back out in the wheelchair. That made that made me giggle. Well, apparently, it's a legit injury. Oh, yeah. But McGinnis But did you see what happened with the wheelchair off air? No. Danielson was the one wheeling him out. Didn't realize it wasn't a ramp. Almost pushed him off the stairs. But that match, I could have watched that all night. Yeah. That match alone, probably to me the best match on the card. On a card that was full of fantastic matches. Like, the but, again, the problem with AEW is you're exhausted by the end of it. There there's so much meat. There's not enough potatoes. Ocado wins the international championship. Now we're at 14. Yep. That was a really good match. Is it commander? Is it Mystico? Who knows? Okay. For the record, nice save on the I that's my next day. You're test it. So, Don, when they did the casino battle, they did the casino battle royale. It's still a match. He announced Mystico, but it was commander that came out with commander's video and everything. And And the next person. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. But is the is the London crowd the kind that's gonna let something like that go? No. They planted the next one the entire So Mystico was the next guy out, and I don't think that was the original plan. I think they just they called an audible. And Justin Roberts goes, you guessed it, Mystico. And I was like, you know what? I gotta give credit where credit is due. That was funny. That was funny. And another thing that brought me joy when they were both out there, if you listen real close, you got to hear Lu Cha Lu Cha Lu Cha Cha Cha. I just I smiled from ear to ear. Did you see the video that somebody was getting of MJF on the floor when Mysticos music hit? No. He had just taken a move on the outside, and somebody's filming him. And he's like, you know how they just kinda start to stir? And as he comes to realize, he just goes, I hate this song. Of Andrade wins the casino battle royale. Very well. And that was, again, that was a great match. That was fun to watch. And the dudes the dudes doing the best work he's done in years. Mhmm. Oh, that was a big hair. That was some big hair. New TNT champion? Uh-huh. After the sickest cough and drop of all time. That was the first time a stage moment actually caught me in a long time. And, Don, you need to look this up because Darby Allen did the coffin drop from, like, 30 feet up. I'm kidding. To, like, plywood and Styrofoam. Well, no. There was steel in here because you in there because you heard it bend. Wow. That was that match was insanity on every level. Sting showed up. Young Sting showed up. God. They look so much like each other too. Mercedes Monet wins. I thought her pyro was kinda dope. Yes. But I didn't understand the ballerinas. That make any sense to me. I I think it was her her swan not not necessarily swan song, but it was using it more as this is the the the only thing she hasn't done, so it's the closing. So and the other thing is the way that match ended, I don't know that I've ever seen a person actually force the tap. Because they were saying if you watch the replay, they're saying that that Willow passed out, but Willow's arm was still out. Was it? And Mercedes just pushed her hand down like she was tapping. Well, no, but she grabbed her by the wrist and pulled it across her face cobra clutch style. Yeah. It was very interesting. And then it was the pass out. Yeah. Osprey's entrance destroyed me. Oh, that was so good. One of the coolest intros I have ever because there was a lot of Where he started. People wherever they came from when they were little and they grew up. But Osprey, that's another thing you gotta look up, Don, is Osprey's entrance. As he walks mother. As yeah. His mother narrates it. Oh, really? And as when they when you cut to live, he is standing with the current version of United Empire. United Empire. Okay. And as he they walk with him. And as he's walking to the ring, he's passing all the people that have been big opponents for him in his career. Really? And it's a really like, he passes ricochet. I I'm gonna wait. Hold on. Before I wanna back you up, there's moments where there's also the things on the wall that tell the story because he passes, Zach Saber junior. There's the European or the union jack on there along with the Japanese flag because that's where he started. As he's walking along, it symbolically shifts to the American flag on the other side of the wall for when he came to The States, and it goes through all of it. As as he rounds the as he rounds the corner to get to the ramp, he sees his wife, kisses his wife. And as he's about to turn the corner, you just see this arm holding the British flag as if to give it to him. Mhmm. It was Moxley. Yeah. No. Yes. It was so well done. Moxley gives him the flag and nods at him, and then Moxley just gets out of the way. I was done. I was like, that is the coolest thing I've ever seen. That was brilliant. That is maximizing your time. You don't have to spend money on pyro if you know how to tell a story. I was a little bit bummed because I read Tuesday that he had wanted to keep one of the side plates for Omega. But on dynamite, was the same on both sides. No. No. No. He he he wasn't keeping it on the belt. He kept it for himself. Oh, okay. Okay. That's what that meant. Okay. I took that wrong. Yeah. One went to Kenny. One went to him. There's an extra from Osprey that was given to Kenny allegedly as a token. Oh, that's cool. A fantastic match. And the first side plates, they have color in them. Yeah. An amazing match. This this could be card of the year. Oh, it is right for me. For me right now, it is. Yeah. I mean, right it's the best card I've watched all year, but we've still got, you know, three months, four months to go. Yeah. But it's gonna be hard to beat this card. Yeah. It's gonna be real hard to beat this card. Donna, I would implore you to buy it even just to watch it on a replay because the show is I agree. That good. It is worth paying $40 to not have watched it live. Yeah. And that's one thing. It's just like, the timing the way it was that I got home from church and said it was already halfway through. Well, it's paid for it the night before because I knew I was gonna watch it. I knew I wasn't gonna watch it live. Yeah. But dear god, that show was good. Congratulations. Jesse McKay is pregnant again. Yep. That was announced this week. And Mercedes Martinez has retired. A little bit earlier than she wanted to, but you know what? Still kinda going out on her terms. And, they announced that Dynasty will be February 7 in Liverpool. Oh, nice. So, Dynamite, Excalibur. Excalibur. It's Okay to say Allen, Texas. It doesn't have to be a city in the shadow of Dallas. Just call it Allen. It's Okay. But Allen is technically part of Dallas. But you could say Allen, Texas just outside of Dallas. Because, like, Treeple on NXT, it was Edinburgh. They didn't try to round it up to the nearest city. It's Edinburgh. Nobody knows where Edinburgh is. People that live in Edinburgh don't know where Edinburgh is. See, my my my announcing note is I need Tony Schiavone to stop trying to get fired by saying creepy stuff. Yeah. It's gross. It's getting worse. Could be promo of the year from Will Osprey at the top that show. Loved it. We had the return of Josh Alexander last night. Mhmm. They really showed that arena really well too. They did. They really did a how good job. Small that arena is. And they made it look like Wembley. I mean They made it look like a legit stadium. Yeah. And boxes go ahead. Did you see the video, after the trios match? Did you see the video backstage with swerve in the new level? I have not. I saw a part of that on the Go go look that up. I don't wanna spoil it for you. Okay. But I nearly peed myself laughing. Mox's reaction at the end. Mhmm. Emmy voters cast your votes now. Absolutely. That was television gold. Mhmm. It That's why he knows the business better than anybody else wrestling. Well, we we because in my head, I was like, he knew. But there's that little itty bitty piece of my brain was like, maybe he didn't because that reaction was so real of, like the look on Moxley's face when they I put that last was like, that's good TV. That's just good TV. I don't care who you That's that's the face why they wanted to put him in a bunch of movies, and he didn't wanna do it. What didn't he do in of the marine movies or something? He did 12 round 12 round sequel. Yeah. Yeah. Anything else you boys wanna talk about because Ring of Honor didn't do much because they were just coming back off of death before dishonor. You know, it was a lot of programming, but it was a lot of good programming mostly carried by all in. We got Sunday night's main event coming up. And Yeah. We the real week one of football for college. It's gonna be a crazy busy week and I the only thing I could think would be more in the closing of telling people to have a great Labor Day and be safe. Yeah. That's about that's it on my end. I'll have to check the inside. Even I got home a bit. It was like two and a half hours. Don. Don, you know I never say to pay for stuff that's already happened. Yeah. I cosigned with Rob's statement. This is worth it. Okay. You even knowing what you know now, just to see how it all unfolds, best card of the year. Absolutely. And it's not even close. It might be the best card of the last five years, and I'm not And that's the thing how, you know, all in last year was really decent too. Well, it's their mania. Yeah. Yeah. I know. I know. They yeah. You get tired, but still they give you a lot of wrestling for the money you put into. Very true. Just the sensation overall was They they could have put this over two nights, and they didn't. You know what I'm saying? Like They didn't have to. You know? Yeah. And Athena, my world's coming. Get ready. Because Alex called this three, four months ago, and I cosigned it. And it I think that's your next step. They're gonna swap places. Yep. Oh, really? Okay. Yes.
