A Podcast more or less about Pickleball
Jason Adler.
Matt:Oh, two thumbs up, Adler. I wanna talk about that, by the way. I'm all thumbs. You're all no. But you're no thumbs.
Matt:You're little thumbs.
Jason:I
Matt:Show show everyone your thumbs.
Jason:I mean oh, yeah. I got here. Apparently, my thumbs stop
Matt:a little You have tiny thumbs. You have, like they're not proportionate to the rest of your
Jason:guess. I don't know. Let's see your
Matt:It's like you have, like, a a infant's thumb on a man's hand.
Jason:Listen. My my Volleys say otherwise.
Matt:I don't know if they do. They do. I don't know if
Jason:they do. Your hands bow.
Matt:Maybe that's why maybe that's why Padel of the volley is just not what it should be.
Jason:Working on my Padel, but Padel is great. I love Padel.
Matt:Okay. So let's go back to the thumb. So if I if I go like this with my hand, right, and Patrick did the same thing, my thumb is getting up to that, like, first line on my index finger.
Jason:Shorter than the first
Matt:And yours barely gets up above your palm.
Jason:Yeah. It's weird. You wanna do a thumb war? Hey, Matt. Is your hand bigger than your face?
Matt:So that's very interesting.
Jason:It is, I guess.
Matt:Did anyone notice this as you were growing up? No. Parents didn't say anything? Hey. This is No.
Matt:I think this is
Jason:an advantage.
Matt:This is Jason. He has small thumbs.
Jason:I think listen. Have I done well hitchhiking? No. But otherwise in my life, I've never fell short.
Matt:Okay. You know? And I guess I guess, were you a thumb sucker as a child?
Jason:Nope. I I would I would win every He sucked
Matt:his big toe instead
Jason:of Yeah. My toes every show my toes and they're just like gargantuan. No. I I won every thumb wrestling match. I have a sneak attack with my fucking you know?
Matt:It's funny.
Jason:It's great.
Matt:So I go to Jamie Foxx's every Wednesday, or I have been two Wednesdays in a row. And then That's great.
Jason:It's four.
Matt:As of now, he's confirmed for the Mookie Betts Charity Event, which which you'll be playing in.
Jason:Yeah.
Matt:When I when I go to Jamie's, I don't always get the chance to work on things with him. It's more of a social play. This But time I was like, I wanna especially since he's gonna play in this event in a month. I want him to get prepared for it. So we did a couple drills and that was that was fun.
Matt:I still think there's work to be done.
Jason:He's been playing for years. I remember playing with him in 2023 at Braemar when they had that PPA event. So And he came
Matt:out for that. That's right.
Jason:He did. And and he was pretty good.
Matt:I really wanna get, like, the third shot drop down with him. I wanna get him moving around
Jason:the kitchen.
Matt:Was gonna ask you
Jason:this one thing. If he was like, alright, Matt. I got one hour a week for the next three weeks or whatever.
Matt:You you Okay. We we we have three lessons and we have Yes. And we have three yes. Three things to work on. Yes.
Matt:Get me off. That's a great question. Lesson one returns. Less the chop. I want him to like move through it as as we all do.
Matt:Sure. Flatter swing.
Jason:Does he run up well after he hits his return or does he
Matt:sort of No. No. No.
Jason:So he gets to the kitchen.
Matt:He gets to the kitchen. So that that's not a problem. Move movement is good. Lesson two would be all about kitchen play. I think out of the air attacks and making sure that technique is proper when someone's attacking him, that it's a square paddle face.
Matt:And that we're
Jason:like can do all this in one lesson? Because I feel like I
Matt:think I I said three lessons over over three hours.
Jason:Lesson, you're gonna Yeah.
Matt:Yeah. Yeah. I'm gonna I'm gonna
Jason:Get him there
Matt:and I'm gonna get him there. I'm gonna get him there. Because he has a base. It's not like we're starting from scratch. Right.
Matt:And then really hone in lesson three, some of the finer details of the dink. Okay. Especially on the backhand side. Especially on the backhand.
Jason:Was backhand dink right now.
Matt:It's just a little bit too, like Pushy? Pushy. Yeah. Not not enough of like getting the legs down.
Jason:No two in time.
Matt:That's that's that would be Okay. That's lesson four, Yeah. Five, six, and
Jason:Exactly. Listen. We should we should get him on and talk about it.
Matt:Yeah. Yeah. Of course.
Jason:If you can make the Mookie event, that's great.
Matt:Yes. It's actually amazing how open he is with himself and with his home.
Jason:I know. And I've never understood that, but I think it's great when people are like, we talk about this with Laveen's house. Right? Mean, I don't know many people that want a bunch of sweaty pickleball players going through their living room and kitchen and, you know, whatever. So
Matt:But it says a lot about him as a guy, how open he is and and It's
Jason:a mensch.
Matt:A real mensch. Real mensch. Agreed. So we had a a great PPA schedule, and now it goes into MLP completely changing gears. Yep.
Matt:First event, Dallas at Pickler Universe in Dallas.
Jason:I've heard
Matt:it was great. People thought certain teams would dominate, and the team that people questioned the Ben Johns, will he give it his all in Major League Pickleball? Well, the answer was resounding yes and went undefeated on the on the weekend.
Jason:So I haven't watched.
Matt:Mad
Jason:drops. But I heard I heard that Ben was phenomenal. And I guess I do wanna do you think that Connor talked to Ben? Do you think there was like a, we need to get MLP really on the map again, and we're gonna push Ben. You know, there's gonna be some incentives in it.
Jason:No. If you can no?
Matt:I don't think so. I Connor? I think
Jason:Can you weigh in? Connor?
Matt:Connor will tweet at us. He'll text. Alright. No. Ben's been on a whole another level this entire 2026 Ben has been different.
Matt:And I don't know what the factor is, the impetus. I don't know why he is so motivated. I mean, you don't need why. She should be. Right?
Matt:He's a pro athlete.
Jason:Yeah. But And the best
Matt:of the world.
Jason:The best that you do wonder sometimes what happens. And Right. It'd be interesting to hear his perspective.
Matt:Right.
Jason:Because a lot of times that you always have a target on your back and you can get complacent or you can try to make changes when you don't need to. What is his motivation? Who knows?
Matt:But he's getting better.
Jason:Yeah. No.
Matt:It's And, like, separating himself Was he 27? Yeah. Something like that.
Jason:He's still, like, in his prime.
Matt:Alright. Trust me. I know.
Jason:He could be doing
Matt:it all prime. So, Thama and Connor Garnett, Utah Black Diamonds, first batch of the tournament, they beat him and Max Freeman in the men's doubles. So it's like he goes out and right away, oh, maybe it's that same old MLP, Ben, but completely flips the script all weekend. And to win with Jade Kalamoto against hated and Anna Bright, that's massive. I mean, he took over and it wasn't even close.
Matt:He took over the court. I was talking about it, you know, with with the the Twitter warriors because they came after me after San Clemente and were like, no, Annaly is the factor. It's not really it's he takes up so much court so efficiently. And with all the risk of doing that, mitigates there's no errors.
Jason:So I did see Ben looking like an unbelievable athlete all over the place. Do you did you see a difference between the way he was playing and his presence Yeah. Versus when he normally plays with Annaly?
Matt:Yes. Short answer. Yes.
Jason:As had not to do as much with Annaly. Would you agree with that Or take up as much court?
Matt:I think he I think he's confident in the fact that if someone's attacking Annaly that she can defend her way out of it. Jade's lefty in the middle, so you're hoping you're hoping yeah. But you're hoping a lefty forehand can can put stuff away. But But I don't think he's getting her take No. He's not.
Matt:He's taking everything.
Jason:Whereas with Annaly, her two way backhand is
Matt:Annaly can also play the defensive role better. Right? As a woman in mixed doubles, your your role is more of the defensive, and then it's the male's job to take risk and put things away. But I think Ben, he looks fitter again, like looks Bigger. Yeah.
Matt:Slimmer, I thought. I I I thought he was moving better.
Jason:Yeah. He was moving. I mean, this again, the couple shots I saw and and just laying into the ball.
Matt:And just so so stable everywhere. I mean, completely dialed.
Jason:So John's is still number one, and now there is more Perry. At stake
Matt:Okay. Too. Right? I guess the wrong word.
Jason:So, hopefully because there's points and there's, you know, I guess, yeah, maybe five, six, seven teams will be kind of in the hunt for first.
Matt:Yes.
Jason:Do you think that whatever rule changes, whatever stakes went into the off season manifested themselves in this first weekend?
Matt:I mean, I think you had you had Georgia Johnson switching teams so that made things a little bit different.
Jason:Leaving what now? So it's
Matt:She was Dallas Dallas Flash, I believe. Right? With Tyra. Now? She's with the fives.
Jason:Who? She's with the fives. Yeah. Okay. I don't know all
Matt:the ones. Which should make which should have made the fives, you would think, way stronger and better.
Jason:But she's no longer with her brother.
Matt:Correct.
Jason:Also, the singles element. Our boy Gabe Joseph.
Matt:For sure.
Jason:The singles That's a factor.
Matt:Huge
Jason:factor. And it was proven that, hey, having that and go ins, like
Matt:Yeah.
Jason:These guys coming in as just unique special skill weapons, like, is a difference maker.
Matt:It's difference maker. For sure. It'll be interesting as the season goes along and as the seasons go along, how that plays out just with people's contracts and their availability to travel because Donald knows that he most likely will be just a singles player on that team, although he's plenty capable on the doubles court as well. Do I wanna travel three months straight to play a few points here and there?
Jason:But a guy like Hayworth, Gabe Joseph, they love it because they are single specialists and they are winning.
Matt:I I think it's a tough thing though to give up to give up. I who knows what they're getting paid, if what part of contract is. I I I don't know all those specifics, and I should. But to give up your whole summer, essentially, right, just to go play a few points here and there.
Jason:That's it's a boy with Dom.
Matt:An interesting it's an interesting thing. You know, you're not you're you're a lot of waiting around. I it's tough. You played with Donald Young last week. I played with Donald Young last week.
Matt:DY. Yeah. Former top 50 tennis player in the world. Top pickleballer now, I believe.
Jason:There, his old partner, you know, from your Nick Monroe. Yeah. Huge forehand. Huge. Huge serve.
Jason:Yep. Cool guy. Great movement. I loved playing with him. I thought it was a really cool challenge.
Jason:And then you played
Matt:So so the Donald Young history for me, which is cool, is that we're a year apart. I think he's a year younger than me. And Oh, okay. So he we grew up playing junior tennis.
Jason:How do you feel when you hang around Donald Young, Matt?
Matt:It's cool because we weren't we I didn't know him as a junior, now we're like friends. So that part's cool. Think of it as a as a junior tennis player when that that's all you care about. Donald was number one in the world junior at 15 years old. That's Junior is 18 and under.
Matt:He he won all, like, all the grand slam juniors at 15. And his goal, I remember reading this. He goes, I wanna win every single grand slam twice. So so that that was, like, a goal of his as a kid. And he had the biggest head contract back in the day.
Matt:He had the biggest Nike contract for a 15 year old junior tennis player. So he was hyped as the next guy for American tennis when I was growing up.
Jason:And The US is desperate to have a
Matt:Yes.
Jason:Great Correct. Tennis player.
Matt:And you had you had Serena and Venus that were already out there and he was the next. Yeah. So he did. He so he lost, I believe, his first 11 matches on tour Yikes. But ended up having a good career
Jason:Yeah.
Matt:Top 15 in the world. Most people would dream of that. But anyway, now so we yeah. So Nick came to the Griffin Club. Nick, Donald, and then Jeff Chisiver.
Matt:They were all hosting a show called Second Serve at Tennis Channel all week. So we played tennis first. We played Dingles. Do you know Dingles?
Jason:Yeah. Explain So it for the audience.
Matt:Yeah. So Dingles, we played its doubles, but you start just with a hand feed cross court to the person that you're playing. So there's two rallies going on at the same time. Once one rally is finished, the winner of that rally yells, Dingles, and then that remaining ball becomes a point now for the doubles. All four of you are in on that Young
Jason:yelling, Dingles?
Matt:He yelled it a lot because he won a lot of those cross court points. So we did a rotation. So you have to win both both points to get the one point. If it splits zeros, you go back again. Donald won all three.
Matt:I only won one when I played with Donald, but it was awesome. It was fun. And then it was cool for us because for Donald and I, because we got to put Nick Monroe and Jeff on a pickleball court after that. Nice. And totally
Jason:destroy them.
Matt:Destroy them.
Jason:Oh, yeah. And we did play. I was just shout out to Santa Monica pickle and Padel, that's where we played, which now has the Padel cords, and it's like Game changer. We've been playing a lot of Padel over there, such a fun sport.
Matt:It's the best.
Jason:It's such a fun sport. I don't know if you have issues adjusting from one to the other, going directly from one to the other, I haven't really done that, but it's different strokes and it's
Matt:Different strokes for different folks. No. I I love I think going from tennis. So that day, going from tennis to pickle because I've I've never done it that way before actually. I've I've done pickle to tennis in the same day.
Jason:Oh, so hard.
Matt:But this seemed to be the hardest for me. Tennis. Not from not from like a
Jason:Compact strokes. It's just like I
Matt:would like, I was missing level like, it was just
Jason:Adjust. You have to adjust.
Matt:You go from this heavy heavy racket, heavy ball, full swings, balls coming out to
Jason:then Who thinks?
Matt:To now, like, it doesn't weigh anything. Yep. And the ball's so light and there was wind, and it's like you couldn't control it as much.
Jason:Much more and tighter. Whereas going from tennis to Padel or vice versa is gonna be a little easier.
Matt:A 100%.
Jason:Right?
Matt:A 100%.
Jason:Yes. Big slices. Big volleys. Big you know?
Matt:Paddle, I I the return is the hardest part. I don't know.
Jason:That's just one the one or the the backhand, I still I have to figure it out because I have a two e and Right. I still can't figure it out and I can't slice it the same way I slice my forehand for some reason.
Matt:So the backhand is not a slice. I think once you get over that feeling, like I let the racket, the weight of the racket do the work and that's what you have to think.
Jason:And it's more of a western grip too, right? You kind of
Matt:just No, it's it's it's more Conti. Yeah. I just Alright. Just a quick It's almost like on the rise, taking on the rise, short hopping things.
Jason:I love it. Yeah. I love the sport. Gotta figure some of the things out, but there's some things that I just absolutely love. Are you gonna go to the
Matt:I'm gonna go
Jason:to the
Matt:one in the mid season tournament in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I have a desk there with Pickwall TV. That'll be really fun. I've heard so there's a I think there's like a minor league MLP thing at the same time and like another tournament. So it's not just MLP there.
Matt:It's this huge kind of pickleball party. And everyone says Grand Rapids is like the one of the original spots. That's July seventh through twelfth.
Jason:Oh, okay.
Matt:Cool. Yeah. So I'm I have some stuff in Europe before that. I'll go to Cannes with Ciroc, which will be really cool. We have this beautiful Chateau Hotel and we've set up a Cirque athletic club activation.
Jason:Are you gonna go to Hotel Du Cap?
Matt:I'd like to go. I'd like to stop by. Say hello to my old friends.
Jason:Welcome back, Mac.
Matt:A champ. So you went to Tipti.
Jason:Yeah, I went to Tipti.
Matt:Do our fans know what Tipti is?
Jason:T Probably Y P T I is a sport founded by our friend's father, Steve Bellamy, who started the Tennis Channel, who ran Kodak for ten years, and he's just a great character and salesman, and he's been working on this sport for years, like three years, I think. All of his sons, Roscoe is a top pro, Robbie, Lucas, and Lincoln, they all play pickleball, but he had this idea, and he created this sport where you can use the same court as a pickleball court. You don't have to change the lines or anything.
Matt:There's
Jason:just no kitchen, but the ball is much softer and bigger and
Matt:like It's like foam ball. Yeah. Like a foam had this in tennis to teach kids forever.
Jason:Right. I played tipti, and I've I've had a lot of fun when I've played it. Right. There's singles, which is a much bigger grind because it's really hard
Matt:to I saw some of those points. They looked insane.
Jason:The athleticism required is crazy for singles for
Matt:sure.
Jason:Doubles is more fun and also fun to watch. I think that's gonna be their bread and butter. Singles might be a tougher sell. Right. But doubles is great, and the the star of the show is definitely Lincoln.
Jason:Right. Lincoln Bellamy, who's very heavily involved in the growth of the sport. He went for the triple threat. He was fired up, man.
Matt:So was there one thing he said that was getting into it with Brian Wan.
Jason:Okay. There were some, you know,
Matt:whatever What was like what was the most, like, controversial thing that was said?
Jason:I don't I don't know what the most controversial thing was said was, but it was getting personal if there was question of line call.
Matt:Was there any cursing?
Jason:Oh, yeah. Yeah. Last time, I think I think Steve was even like, hey. You know, come on, Lincoln.
Matt:Like So so do you think it looks That was there. Do you think it looks okay that most of this prize money
Jason:No. No.
Matt:That was raised went to his own son.
Jason:Listen. I there there's certainly comments about that as well, but it is a new sport. Look. Alex Emery is one of the best athletes we know. He's a pro pickleball player, very good tennis player.
Jason:So he and Brian Wan went to the finals, lost to Lincoln, and I forget his partner's name, Emil Amir, who's, like, going on a duke. Okay.
Matt:And he's gonna walk on a duke. And and It
Jason:was at Calabasas Pickleball Club. And I will say this, you know, Steve, he spared no expense. Right. We had Crane. We had the tipty logos everywhere.
Jason:We it was the US Open, and it was a show, man. They we're on Tennis Channel two.
Matt:How many people came in person?
Jason:I I don't know. 100. I I really don't know. It felt like it was full, and, obviously, like, we're wanting to make sure we're in the seats.
Matt:Of course. You wore sandals to the event. Correct?
Jason:I did. Yeah. I didn't realize that it was gonna be on TV.
Matt:That was an interesting move. I just I saw pictures, and I'm you're there front row. Like
Jason:I didn't know there was a
Matt:You would never you would never go to okay. If if I said, hey, Adler, I got front row seats for the Lakers. You're not wearing sandals.
Jason:I ain't.
Matt:No. You can't. Alright. No. But
Jason:I I don't even get it. Tickets, by the way?
Matt:I don't
Jason:even think you're wearing that. $100,000 a seat in some of these seats at the Knicks. Go Knicks,
Matt:by the way. The tip the tip the the thing for okay.
Jason:Just the
Matt:I support everyone in our community that supported me. Right? Like, I I love it. I just I don't like that the entire basis of the sport is built upon hoping that pickleball facilities fail.
Jason:That's not at all what it is. It's complementing the downtime that pickleball is. And it makes no noise, so you you can piggyback off of, you know, like these retired communities or whatever that have courts that don't want the noise, there's no noise. It's really brilliant. I'm not saying it's gonna see I would like to see it succeed, I think I like the Bellamy's, I like Steve, and I played it and I think it's
Matt:I want pickleball to to grow.
Jason:And so does he. Trust me. I think they can coexist. They're not mutually exclusive. Okay.
Jason:Let me be clear on that. Matt, pickleball magazine says the sport has stopped asking where it is going and now deciding what it wants to become. Okay. So we're asking you, what do you want pickleball to become?
Matt:That's a great question. Well, I like what it already is, which is like a community based social, everyone can get involved type sport that grew from the public parks. We had this great professional tour. It's growing globally. I think we are building stars.
Matt:I think the manufacturers are where they need to be. I would like to see it. The public perception of it, I think, needs to change of it's yes, it's a sport for everyone, but it's it's a hard sport.
Jason:What do mean
Matt:hard? It's athletic to get very good. It takes a lot of time and commitment and discipline just like any other sport.
Jason:If you want to compete at high levels but you don't have to be that one.
Matt:Correct. A 100%. But I want it to be known that there is that aspect of it. I it be more want it to be more respected. I know what I know that everyone loves that it's open to everyone and started at the public parks and all this stuff.
Matt:But I'd like the luxury side of it to build. I think it's sometimes people see it as like less than if you're comparing it to paddle and tennis. And from a consumer goods and all of this, I'd like the Rolexes of the world and these other people to build. I like our venues to have a luxury feel to them. You know, some of our nice ones.
Jason:Want status.
Matt:To it. I want status.
Jason:Do you what do you think like, this it just occurred to me. Yeah. What to to be even more specific, do could it be a bowling? Like, bowling is is ubiquitous in terms of everybody bowls
Matt:Right.
Jason:But there is a competitive bowling. But and there's TV rights to that. People don't really watch it, but it exists. Right. Or or, you know, like darts.
Jason:These obscure sports, but they still have a presence. Or even poker,
Matt:like Yeah.
Jason:Never went away. Now, obviously, it's a different sport, different athleticism, but I wonder, like, revenue wise, you know, would Conor take whatever the bowling No.
Matt:Because pickleball has already surpassed bowling.
Jason:Has that's what I'm wondering. I don't know.
Matt:Yes. A 100%.
Jason:Okay.
Matt:Yes. Yes. I mean, in Asia, it's it's huge. I just think there's something
Jason:Or table tennis. Yeah. Huge overseas.
Matt:Think Huge. The amount of people that play it and Golfing. The type of people that play it, it should there should be a luxury component to it. So you wanna add status component and I think it's important because I think it needs to be all of it. So you want the part
Jason:of pickle to almost have what Padel seems to only have exclusively.
Matt:Correct. So that's Padel's problem. Have That's too exclusive. And then they have nothing else. Right.
Matt:And I love what SMPC, by the way, the fact that they have a combined facility now. Yeah. I think it makes both sides look better. Patta looks cool, pickle looks cool. It has like a vibe.
Matt:Yeah. They're adding tip de court. Right.
Jason:Alright. Now so we know. Matt Matt wants pickleball to have a little more class or or respect and some higher end brands so that he can get a Rolex deal.
Matt:Right.
Jason:Yeah. I get it. We got That's microphone. That's it.
Matt:That's Basically, we've turned into a Norwegian podcast because our producer Patrick is from Norway, and he brings us snacks. So today, we have cracker chocolate, shesh sheshokolada, and it's quick lunch.
Jason:Is that what that is? It's It's they're Nestle.
Matt:Quick lunch. Quick lunch. And so it's their Kit Kat. It's really
Jason:it's it looks it as a lunch?
Matt:It looks I mean, look. Norway is Norway. What can we do?
Jason:How are the teeth over there, may I ask? Matt, let me let me get my thumbs. I hope you open it. So
Matt:Adler Adler was really weird last time about me like breaking off his chocolate and
Jason:touching Yeah,
Matt:I don't
Jason:his need you touching my chocolate. I mean, think most people would agree. Thanks.
Matt:Yeah. Mean, it's It's really, mean It's like a king. Well, they had and they have That's amazing. I mean, no one's gonna be able to see that. But there's like little is that a pelican?
Matt:Not a pelican. There's a little bird there's a bird on there.
Jason:Yep. That is a bird.
Matt:It's a flamingo.
Jason:The flamingo has very long legs. I don't know what it is.
Matt:That's very good.
Jason:It tastes exactly like a Kit Kat.
Matt:I think it tastes better. I think the chocolate level is a better.
Jason:It's a little bit better. I agree. Wow. Everything about it that
Matt:consistency crisp chocolate. Shake's chocolada. Vic lunch.
Jason:Dude, this is really good.
Matt:Dude, a Kit Kat is so reliable. I mean,
Jason:is so good. One of the most reliable, and this is, you know
Matt:I've never been upset after a Kit Kat.
Jason:Anytime he's about to blow, I'm gonna give him a Kit Kat. I'm gonna say five eight five, simply because to me it's just a Kit Kat, so I'm not as overwhelmed. It's very good. Well, haven't rated American candies. That's a whole different story.
Matt:What what do your rating do though for a Kit Kat?
Jason:Relative to other candy bars?
Matt:No, just the Kit Kat.
Jason:Alright. Dude, relax. Jesus.
Matt:He's He's yelling.
Jason:A KitKat? A KitKat in general? Five three? 5 two? It's reliable, but, like, I'm gonna go Twix, $100.
Jason:You know, there's there's candies that even Snickers is gonna go above KitKat for me, but you're talking about a completely different ballgame. Norway, this is very good. It's not as good as the one with the corn chip flavor that we had because that was unique, but this is solid.
Matt:Alright. So Wait. Oh. In his thumb too. It's so small.
Matt:Like, it was just a It's so low. It was actually just a speck of chocolate, on his thumb, it looks like it covered the whole thing. So I think a Kit Kat type bar, even though it's Norwegian, it's solid. You know what you're getting, but it's not gonna it's not gonna win a tournament. Right?
Matt:But you know it's gonna beat everyone it's supposed to beat. It's it's a pro level, but it's not going beyond that.
Jason:K.
Matt:So they're getting into the main
Jason:Who's your player?
Matt:They're they're getting into the main of these tournaments, right, of of the PPA event.
Jason:Doing freaking
Matt:They're like a six one type guy.
Jason:Troy.
Matt:But they're not going that far. Alex Amory. I would say this is like a Greg Dow. Oh. Where you know what you're getting.
Matt:Greg's gonna beat a lot of people. Solid.
Jason:Okay. So what's that rating? A six one?
Matt:Yeah. Is he gonna make a run? Probably not, but Greg's beating every Greg's funny. He's entertaining. And you're gonna You'll have a good time.
Matt:You're gonna have a good time.
Jason:You're gonna have a good time. You're kinda good looking, but also clumsy.
Matt:Right. Greg Dow is a Kit Kat.
Jason:Doesn't move well with great hands.
Matt:Finkles, Einhorn. Dow is Kit Kat.
Jason:Dow, we love you, buddy.
Matt:Kit Kat is great
Jason:guy we should get on. Yeah. It's funny.
Matt:So that's my rating.
Jason:Alright. It's good.
Matt:It's good. I like comparing food to people.
Jason:I know you do.
Matt:That's like maybe one of my favorite drinks.
Jason:What what candy bar would you be?
Matt:Right. As a person or as a player?
Jason:Whatever based on what you how would you self rate your candy?
Matt:Self rate my candy. What's my favorite candy?
Jason:Yeah. Hey. What's the best candy ever? Best looking
Matt:In all of the world. No.
Jason:But it's not just about what the best it's what fits your style and personality. Like, what candy reflects Matt Manassi?
Matt:I have a I have a lot of sides to me. Right? A lot of elements. I mean, I I feel like like a Reese I first of all, I love peanut butter.
Jason:Yeah.
Matt:It's like a Reese's fast break
Jason:Is you love that?
Matt:So many different things in it as nougat. Heather loves nougat.
Jason:The best ever. Right? It's the best it's the best ever? The fast break is the best ever.
Matt:Fast break is so good. Have you had one recently? I'll bring one in.
Jason:I I would take a peanut butter cup over a fast break. The traditional peanut butter cup.
Matt:Oh, they're amazing. I agree.
Jason:I love choosing which is better?
Matt:I'm gonna bring in both next week. We'll try them. I'm going fast break.
Jason:Oh, okay.
Matt:Because the nougat.
Jason:He loves the nougat. I love nougat. I love a $100.
Matt:Yeah.
Jason:And I love Reese's peanut butter cup and a Twix. Those are probably top three.
Matt:Snickers yeah. Snickers always
Jason:Snickers is more like a Kit Kat for me. It's very good. Better than a click above a Kit Kat.
Matt:A click above a Kit Kat.
Jason:Click above
Matt:a Kit Kat. What's the the that bar that's like all peanut crunch?
Jason:Oh, Henry. Oh. Payday.
Matt:Payday. My dad loves a payday.
Jason:That's too much for me.
Matt:That's too much It is very good. And it has caramel, right? A little bit?
Jason:Yeah. That's it is. It's peanuts and caramel.
Matt:That's I like that though. I think it's I would never order I like peanuts. Would never get that. And I love almond joy. I love anything almond.
Matt:My god. Yes. Coconut. Love coconut.
Jason:What about Mounds? Do you want that nut? Sometimes you feel like a nut?
