What is Mystery Maniacs?

Mystery Maniacs Podcast is a comedy recap podcast dedicated to British Mystery Television. Formerly, Midsomer Maniacs podcast.

Sarah:

Hey, Maniacs.

Mark:

Hey, Mystery Maniacs. It's Clues and Reviews, a spooky edition. It's October, baby. Oh, yeah.

Sarah:

The time we love.

Mark:

Hockey's back. Halloween's back. Everything's back, man.

Sarah:

And I don't know about where you live, but here in Indiana, it's like somebody told the weatherman, hey. It's the first. Yep. Turn it down. Turn it down.

Sarah:

High of like 70 today and there's a breeze.

Mark:

Normally

Sarah:

do. The sky is blue.

Mark:

The house really cool because we're we're those people.

Sarah:

We're hot people.

Mark:

We're those people. I

Sarah:

think you're hot.

Mark:

Oh, thank you. I know you're hot.

Sarah:

People are like, gag me.

Mark:

And we haven't had the furnace or the air conditioning on for two weeks. It makes me Yep.

Sarah:

So happy. Yep. Not not that. Like, that's nice. Yeah.

Sarah:

It's nice for the bills and for the environment and all that. But when the weather changes

Mark:

Yeah. This is

Sarah:

because I hate being hot so much. I just hate it.

Mark:

This is sweater shorts weather where you can wear a sweater

Sarah:

Well, and you do. Yes. It's your style sense that allows you to do that. So clues and reviews. Let's talk about what we've been watching.

Mark:

We watched some more Cooper and Fry because it finally came out for us because we didn't pay the extra money.

Sarah:

Are you bitter?

Mark:

No. Not really. I'm We're so behind at shows. I know. This is not funny.

Sarah:

It is the crazy time of year, hence why we're doing this. So, I'm more intrigued by this show now than I was after the first episode. Now I've not read the books that these are based on.

Mark:

These are based on a set of books written by Stephen Booth, and there's, like, 26 books.

Sarah:

Yeah. Like, the second miss... The second, set of episodes Yeah. Is based on, like, book eight Yeah. Or something like that.

Sarah:

Something like that. So after the first episode, the first episode had this sort of, they're not supernatural. If you haven't watched don't want you to get the wrong impression that they're supernatural, but they're set in a small village where folk lore and superstitions are kind of strong amongst the people. And you have to like, aware of that as Especially a

Mark:

Cooper's mom. Yeah. She's a bit witchy woo.

Sarah:

And in the first episode, there was a bit of that, and I didn't know if it was just that episode Yes. Or if that was gonna be a serious thing.

Mark:

Because they've done that in Midsummer

Sarah:

Oh, yeah.

Mark:

Where they have kind of a full horror episode.

Sarah:

Yep. Apparently, this is the theme.

Mark:

This is the thing.

Sarah:

Because it happens again in the second episode.

Mark:

Second episode.

Sarah:

Again, it's not a supernatural show. Nothing happens.

Mark:

In fact, they deal with that.

Sarah:

Yeah. But I like it.

Mark:

I do too. And it creates a dynamic between them that's interesting.

Sarah:

Yeah. Because one of them grew up there and is familiar with all of these old folk histories and the superstitions and weirdness. And the other one is not from there and doesn't.

Mark:

And it's not that he doesn't believe in it. He says something really important in the second story where he says, I don't believe in that, Guff, but I need to relate to these people so they talk to us.

Sarah:

Right. And you have to know where they're coming from. Yeah. So you have to understand.

Mark:

And I think that's super interesting.

Sarah:

But it's really fun. It is. Because it does add a... Just a little bit of creepiness. Yes.

Sarah:

Just a little bit. Yep. And I like that. Especially in October. Yep.

Mark:

And the news I have about Cooper and is it has been renewed. Oh, cool. Get another season of Cooper and Fry.

Sarah:

Oh, really? We'll be able to watch all of season one Yes. As they release it every two weeks or whatever.

Mark:

I think it's... I think they're getting better as they go on. Again, people said it was dark online. It's not super dark. There's some jokes and funniness and stuff.

Sarah:

Yeah. I mean, it's like we said last time.

Mark:

It's like midsummer.

Sarah:

It's not whimsical like midsummer.

Mark:

No. It's not. It's more endeavor y, and we'll get to endeavor

Sarah:

If there's a knob

Mark:

of Yes.

Sarah:

High whimsy, which is like the detectorists

Mark:

Yes.

Sarah:

Versus no whimsy, which is, I don't know, something super dark and serious. It's kind of in the middle.

Mark:

Yes. I agree. It's human. Speaking of the detectorist, the new show by, the guy who did did the

Sarah:

Mackenzie Crook?

Mark:

Yes. Mackenzie Crook. Wow.

Sarah:

Where did I come up with that name?

Mark:

His new show is called Small Prophets about a man who grows homunculi in his house, and that

Sarah:

is coming to Apple in October. Homunculi meaning tiny people?

Mark:

Yes. Who tell the truth This and only the

Sarah:

sounds fascinating.

Mark:

They sound so good.

Sarah:

I don't want one of those people around. Homunculi sound like weapons.

Mark:

No, but either his wife or his daughter or somebody's missing and he wants to find out where she is.

Sarah:

Oh. Oh wow that sounds really good. When does it start?

Mark:

Sometime in October on Apple TV.

Sarah:

Speaking of Apple TV. Yes. Slow Horses.

Mark:

Yes, Slow Horses has started. We watched the first three episodes last night and

Sarah:

wow. We stayed up until almost 11:00 because I had, we had to finish. That's a binge for us to stay up that watching something good. I really like Slow Horses.

Mark:

There is a scene in Kristen, what's her name's backyard. She's the head of MI5 now.

Sarah:

And

Mark:

Jackson from Slow Horses who is played by

Sarah:

Jackson Lamb. He's Gary Old man.

Mark:

Gary Old man. The two of them, like British acting royalty. Yeah. And they have a scene in the backyard of episode three that every single moment of it is perfect. Yeah.

Mark:

Including the final joke, which is perfect.

Sarah:

If you haven't watched Slow Horses, it's one of those shows that is so good that it's worth getting like the, I don't know if Apple TV does like a free month trial or

Mark:

something, just

Sarah:

getting it long enough to just power through Slow Horses and then canceling it if you

Mark:

don't

Sarah:

You

Mark:

have like seven seasons of it.

Sarah:

It's so good, but it is, I have found, there are shows that I can knit while I watch. There's shows I can crochet, which takes less. This is a felting level show where all I can do is just stab something over and over again while I watch. I can't possibly count something or think about which So stitch I'm supposed to be you need to pay attention.

Mark:

It's so fast. It's super fast and super interesting.

Sarah:

And it's like espionage stuff. So there's lots of little details and politics and stuff, but the characters are fantastic.

Mark:

The young guy who plays River, is supposedly gonna be the new Bond.

Sarah:

Oh, he'll be good at it. Yep. He's very handsome.

Mark:

And then out of nowhere, Elrond shows up and you're like, woah.

Sarah:

Elrond who is... What's his real name? Hugo Weaving.

Mark:

Hugo Weaving. Wow. I'm I'm ignorant with the names today. Admit today.

Sarah:

Not Elrond Hubbard. Yes. Hugo Weaving, who was the elf king in Lord of the Rings.

Mark:

But then one of the drag queens in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, which is an utterly fantastic movie.

Sarah:

That could not be more different.

Mark:

That could not be more different.

Sarah:

But, yeah, he shows up in slow horses. He showed up last season.

Mark:

Yes.

Sarah:

It is so good guys. If you haven't watched it.

Mark:

You thought he was evil in The Matrix. Oh, he is

Sarah:

much Yeah, more he's a Smith. Give it a shot. It's really worth it. So you've been rewatching Endeavor as you're watching TV with your eyes closed at about four So o'clock every

Mark:

Endeavor is such a good show. I really like Star and Evans. And I really

Sarah:

Who wrote, produced, directed. Yeah. He does all the things for that show, doesn't he? Yes. Stars in it.

Mark:

He does. And he is with...

Sarah:

If you don't remember, Endeavor is Morse in his younger years, because Endeavor is Morse's first name, which you never learn if you only watch Morse. He never admits what his first name is in those shows.

Mark:

No. And he is with DCI Thursday, who is played by Roger Allam.

Sarah:

Mhmm.

Mark:

Now I'd watched almost to the last, like there's no Roger

Sarah:

Allen, who was in a Midsummer, who's the one who buried the casserole in the backyard.

Mark:

Yes. And the only man to hit the triumvirate. He is in he is in Endeavor, Morse, and Lewis. Lewis. Mhmm.

Mark:

Which is stunning.

Sarah:

Yeah.

Mark:

So Roger Alam is in it. It's... The ninth season has lots of callbacks and call forwards to Morse in it, and it's a very sad show. And Morse is the patron saint of shooting himself in the foot. Yeah.

Mark:

I watched the first episode of Morse after this again because I hadn't seen it in a while. And I like Morse, but he's more stumbling and bumbling in that show. Like, he's really uncomfortable around women. Where Endeavor, he's he's... He can flirt with a woman.

Mark:

Yeah. It... It's much

Sarah:

more He just screws it up pretty quickly. Massively. After, like, two dates, he messes So it Usually by prioritizing his work over other people.

Mark:

So that last season, I was like, I can't see Roger Allen die. And they were like, they... There were signs on the side of the road that was like, Thursday's gonna die. Thursday's gonna die. And I was like, no, I can't.

Mark:

I can't watch that. I'm not gonna watch that.

Sarah:

So you skipped that episode?

Mark:

No. No. So I got about halfway through season nine. Twice I've done this. I've watched the whole series to that point.

Mark:

I was like, I'm powering it through. Because to me, if it gets too sad, it'll destroy the whole show for

Sarah:

me. Mhmm.

Mark:

That does not happen. Okay? It is as happy an ending as possible for Morse. Yes. For Endeavor.

Mark:

Sorry. It's as happy an ending as that show can have. Okay? But in the last episode, like I said, everybody keeps coming back. Right?

Mark:

And in the last episode, there's a scene with Roger Allam, who plays Thursday. He is confronted with DI Arthur Lott, who is played by Danny Webb.

Sarah:

Tits in a tree.

Mark:

Big dick tits in a tree. And they're in a scene together with Phil Daniels. Phil Daniels, who every time he appears on on screen, we say

Sarah:

Pond life.

Mark:

Oy. Right? Quadrophenia, park life.

Sarah:

Park life, not pond life. Pond scum.

Mark:

Park Life, Marple, Phil Daniels. The three men in that room are treasure. Like, everybody better have clapped when they were done. Yeah. But that scene, which is an important scene, I'm just thinking it's like that Spider Man meme where the three of them are pointing each other, where they're all

Sarah:

kind of three versions of Spider Man

Mark:

are all pointing at each other. And all I hear in my head is, Oi, tits in a tree, Morse. Oi, tits in a tree, Morse. Oi, tits in a tree, Morse. Like, that's all I hear.

Sarah:

If people haven't seen it, they're like, Mark's on crack. But if you have seen it, you know exactly what we're talking about.

Mark:

If I was in that crew, if I was in that crew when that scene cut, I would've hit Park Life on the on the on the overhead speakers. The...

Sarah:

People don't know what that is.

Mark:

It's a blur song, and the three of them would have known exactly what to do.

Sarah:

And why is it relevant? Why is Parklife relevant?

Mark:

Because because Phil Daniels does this talking bit in Parklife that is spectacular, and it starts with him going, oi.

Sarah:

Yeah. Because he's this guy who basically lives on the dole and hangs out in the park.

Mark:

Yep. Right? He loves a bit of it.

Sarah:

Yeah.

Mark:

It's just such fantastic Phil Daniels speaking. And, like, I've been a fan of Phil Daniels since I saw Quadrafenia in high school.

Sarah:

Is that a Who movie?

Mark:

Yeah. It's a Who movie with Sting in it. So he's the guy who plays the mod with all the mirrors on his scooter.

Sarah:

But the other person who's in Endeavor is the guy who plays Bright.

Mark:

Yes, Anton Lesser.

Sarah:

Anton Lesser? Yes. Who is, I don't know what he does, time travels with his face.

Mark:

Looks so old in this.

Sarah:

He looks so much older in Endeavor, and then you see him in something that he made later and he looks much younger. I don't know if he's got some good work or that tape that pulls your face back or if they made him look a lot older

Mark:

for He was the horrible that bright guy, Midsommar who- Harasses the two old ladies in the egg episode.

Sarah:

Yeah. That he rents a room from. It's the sausages. Yes. He wants He's so pissed.

Sarah:

Sausages.

Mark:

He's so pissed at them.

Sarah:

And then he dies. And they're like, oh no, he's dead. So I am so sad.

Mark:

The offshoot of all this, remember, say, oy, tits in a tree, big dick. Right? Morse. The offshoot of all this is if you haven't got to the end of Endeavor, I made it through. I only cried a few times because it's Endeavor.

Mark:

You're gonna... It's gonna happen. But it is worth... The last episode is great.

Sarah:

Yeah. It's... Don't worry. It all ends up okay.

Mark:

Well, for everybody, It but

Sarah:

all ends up okay. Yes. What you're worried about. Yep. The thing that might make you go, I don't know if I can watch more of this.

Mark:

Very last scene and this is spoiling a ten year old show, but the last scene, he drives away from a place, like a manor and he's in the black jag and he goes past a red jag that is what Morse drives in the Morse show and the rearview mirror shows Morse. Yeah. So it's the passing of the torch and

Sarah:

It's a really good show.

Mark:

And Shawn Evans is fantastic. I wish he was in Morse stuff.

Sarah:

Yeah. He must be working behind the scenes because he's brilliant. Yep. That was a lot.

Mark:

Yep. I thought it was hilarious.

Sarah:

If you haven't seen that meme of the three Spider Men, you don't really get the joke.

Mark:

It's a long way to get to a joke, but-

Sarah:

It is absolutely that scene.

Mark:

The offshoot of all this is I've gone there before. It's okay.

Sarah:

It's okay. It's okay. Go back and watch Endeavor if you haven't watched all

Mark:

Spectacular. Of

Sarah:

It's on PBS passport. Yep. So I I... It might be other places too.

Mark:

Yeah. It might be.

Sarah:

So good.

Mark:

So tell us about Halloween, Sarah, because this is your thing.

Sarah:

If people want to know.

Mark:

Okay. I

Sarah:

know if they want know.

Mark:

I'm going to put my foot down. I put my foot down. This is so brag worthy what my wife does, And she is so amazing that I get so much capital off of this, so much social capital off this. I just want to make it clear that my wife makes amazing decorations, amazing creations on a theme every single year from scratch that's different than the year before.

Sarah:

Yeah. Because it's boring. I don't wanna repurpose the same thing. It's boring.

Mark:

Literally, if you told somebody you did that, they would say, how do you make money? Like, it's a hobby that we do on our spare time. Yeah. Like most people would think this is a full time job.

Sarah:

We've we've had a few people ask me like, oh, are you an artist or do you do like set dressing or something like that or effects or something? I'm like, no. I work at a business school and record podcasts, this is just the thing that I do. Yes. So this year's theme is the Monroe County Scare.

Sarah:

We live in Monroe County in Indiana, so it's a county fair gone wrong.

Mark:

So this is not Carnival? No. It's County Fair.

Sarah:

Yes.

Mark:

So what's the difference between carnival and county fair?

Sarah:

Less clowns. Less clowns.

Mark:

More animals. Sarah doesn't like clowns. Well, we've done clowns. Yes. We did clowns, and they're more...

Mark:

That's the other thing. We've never repeated anything.

Sarah:

No. Never even close Way more animals. Yes. I've got pigs, I got chicken, I got sheep, and they're We all

Mark:

have some scary sheep in that.

Sarah:

But Mark built an 11 foot tall ferris wheel.

Mark:

Yes, So I always want to help and it's difficult. We both can't work in the garage.

Sarah:

Well, you don't really like sculpt or anything.

Mark:

I don't sculpt or anything like that but I always want the big things. I remember why it must have been like May. I said to Sarah, let's do a ferris wheel. And you were like, no.

Sarah:

I was just thinking I'm not gonna build that. Yeah. I got other things to do. So And you said, I'll do it.

Mark:

I'll do it. Okay. And I I think that my wife believed I could do it, but I I may have a bit going on.

Sarah:

I knew that you could. I didn't know if you actually would.

Mark:

Which is completely understandable. But

Sarah:

No. No. No. You're writing two books, a comic book and a full time job and recording a podcast and everything else. Yep.

Sarah:

But you did, and it's massive, people. You're gonna post pictures. Right? Yep. Because it...

Sarah:

We... It's the second thing we put out. It's ginormous. I had to help put lights on it and I had to climb up on a ladder and stand on the top rung of the ladder, which me and ladders are not best friends. Nope.

Sarah:

But I would rather be on the ladder than stabilizing the ladder It

Mark:

is from our the tallest thing that we've ever built.

Sarah:

Oh, by far.

Mark:

By far.

Sarah:

And it has eight skeletons riding it. Yep. And they are awry.

Mark:

Yep. Now does not turn. No. The dog does not ride it. No.

Mark:

It is not safe

Sarah:

for children. Love to.

Mark:

She would love to

Sarah:

ride it. She really, really, really wants to ride it. But She cannot. So

Mark:

there will be pictures and video and all that stuff of this this year because several people have already said just from the Ferris wheel alone, it's an amazing year. You come up the hill to get to our house. You have to go up around a corner and up a hill,

Sarah:

a curve that is a hill. Yeah. And it revealed. Revealed. You go around the curve.

Mark:

Different where it is in the house and where it is in the yard.

Sarah:

People are gonna go, holy moly. Yep. Then the lights we put on it are lights we bought last year for our Christmas tree that are these LED lights that are fully programmable. They have an app and everything, so you can control each what individual color it is, and when it's on and when it's not, And it's a... They're a 160 feet long.

Sarah:

Yep. So now that they're on there, Mark can map them and make them do whatever he wants. Yep. It's gonna be outrageous people.

Mark:

It's gonna be insane.

Sarah:

We will we will definitely post video of it as soon as you get the lights programmed. You're gonna be out sitting in the yard for an hour tonight just trying to do that.

Mark:

Yep. Listening to the hockey game.

Sarah:

But it's gonna be fantastic. Yep. And since we're talking about Halloween and fall, one question I wanted to ask, and hopefully folks will give us answers, is their favorite scary movie or show to watch this time of year. Now I'm not talking about horror.

Mark:

I We're don't not Halloween. We're not doing

Sarah:

I don't really like horror movies. I don't think they have good plot.

Mark:

My three are the mildest of horror movies. They are horror movies, but they're very mild.

Sarah:

What I have are things that are a bit scary. Yeah. But they're mostly mystery. Yes. Not horror.

Sarah:

Yep. So I'll just off my three recommendations and then you can do yours.

Mark:

So these are spooky movies or shows Yeah. That you can watch fun

Sarah:

to watch this time of year. Yep. So I'm hoping that the three that I have are things that maybe people didn't catch when they were first released.

Mark:

And and the three that I have are, if you've listened to Mark, you know what three I'm picking already.

Sarah:

Are they hammer horror?

Mark:

No. No. One's a hammer. Hammer is horror.

Sarah:

Yeah. Oh, yeah. You had to take that back to you. You're like, no. Well, you know.

Sarah:

So here are my three. And all three of mine are based on book series too. So the first one is called Lockwood and Co. Yes. These are all on Netflix, by the way.

Sarah:

Yes. So you can catch them. Lockwood and Co, they only made one season of it. It's such a good book series. It's a young adult or kids book series, But it's about these kids that live in a world where ghosts exist and are kind of pests, almost like insect infestations kind of.

Sarah:

But kids in this world are sort of able to see them until they reach a certain age. So the only people who can fight them and sort of capture them are kids.

Mark:

And it's kind of young Sherlock Holmes y.

Sarah:

Sort of, it's

Mark:

sort of Victorians, but

Sarah:

not, yeah. And so the kids form companies of exterminator detective kind of groups. It's really good. It's fun. It's an adventure, but there's a mystery and it's It's called Lockwood and Co.

Sarah:

Yep. My second one is the Dead Boy Detectives. Again, one one season. This is based on Neil Gaiman. Right?

Sarah:

Yep. Who's sort of on the outs, but never mind. It's already been made. Yep. It doesn't support anybody if you watch it.

Mark:

Yeah. It's from the pages of of Sandman.

Sarah:

Yeah. So it's called Dead Boy Detectives, and it's about two guys who are ghosts. Yes. And they are also detectives. Yes.

Sarah:

It's super fun.

Mark:

Again, it has that young Sherlock Holmes y vibe.

Sarah:

Lots of jokes, but some jump scares, lots of mystery, intrigue. It's it's just really fun. Yep. And then my third recommendation is a movie, The House With a Clock in Its Walls.

Mark:

Yes, which is one of my very favorite books from when I was a kid. I remember when the movie was announced, was like, Sarah, do you remember this book?

Sarah:

And I had never read it.

Mark:

You were like, I have never read that book. And I'm like, I've read every one of these books

Sarah:

multiple times. It's got Jack Black in it. It's got Attack Pumpkins. It's, again, a movie for younger people, but it is a big adventure, and it's just so fun. It's It really fun, and it's beautiful.

Mark:

It is the best cool uncle movie of all time.

Sarah:

Absolutely. Yep. Yeah, Absolutely. Absolutely. So Lockwood and Co, Dead Boy Detectives, House with a Clock in its Walls.

Mark:

I will watch House with Clock without... House with a Clock in its Walls at least once more before Halloween. Yeah. Because it's fantastic.

Sarah:

Yeah. Really good.

Mark:

What are yours? So I have Perennials. Okay. These are with three movies that I probably watch every single October. I've watched one already.

Mark:

So the first one based on a book is Something Wicked This Way Comes. The print of it on Disney plus now is perfect. They have they have upgraded the

Sarah:

It's got Jonathan Price.

Mark:

It's got Jonathan Price as mister darkness Mhmm. Which is fantastic.

Sarah:

Darkness or dark?

Mark:

Mister Dark, and he leads the Autumn People. And Jason Robards is in it. And every single year

Sarah:

Creepy circus

Mark:

comes an older dad. And after a year, I'm like, am I as old as Jason Robart? No. He was in his sixties. He was in his sixties.

Mark:

I'm not that old. And it is it is a

Sarah:

book from the eighties.

Mark:

Right? Book I read as a kid that was just so influential on me. I absolutely love it.

Sarah:

Ray Bradbury?

Mark:

Yep. Ray Bradbury.

Sarah:

For a long time, we... You couldn't get it.

Mark:

You could not.

Sarah:

You couldn't get the movie. Nope. It wasn't on Disney plus. It wasn't anywhere. You couldn't get it on Disney.

Mark:

I probably went thirty years without seeing it.

Sarah:

Yeah. I remember you Yep. Complaining about not being able to get it anywhere. Now you can watch it anytime you want.

Mark:

It is not your usual Disney movie. No. There

Sarah:

are no princess es dancing in

Mark:

this are scary stuff in it.

Sarah:

It's Ray Bradbury.

Mark:

But it is still spooky and carnivally.

Sarah:

It's scary. Yeah. I mean, it's not horror, but it is scary.

Mark:

Yeah. And definitely the scene in the library has affected a lot of people. Yeah. So second one is another perennial that I have to go back to every single year, Wicker Man, the original Wicker Man from 1973.

Sarah:

Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ. Wicker Man's too scary for me. I don't like it.

Mark:

Oh, it's

Sarah:

It's not bloody gory, but it's just so dang creepy.

Mark:

It's creepy and weird and folk. You if you like folk horror, go to the... See the source because this is really the source of all that stuff.

Sarah:

What was the Nick Frost movie that's kind of an inversion of Wicker Man?

Mark:

I forget the name of it where they go to the island.

Sarah:

And people start getting killed but I don't want to spoil it. It's not what you think.

Mark:

Yeah.

Sarah:

It's funny anyway.

Mark:

Then the third thing I wanna I wanna talk about, heartwarming, part to this, which is my daughter in Seattle has started to watch horror movies with some of her friends, and she has given me access. Or whenever she posts a review of any of these movies, I get notified.

Sarah:

Mhmm.

Mark:

And she and her friends watched Carnival of Souls, and I don't know if you've ever seen that. No. It's... It is the epitome of not a Sarah movie. It's fifties black and white woman in trouble weird.

Sarah:

Oh, yeah. Not not

Mark:

that kind of movie. Small town carnival weirdness, and it's just fantastic. Like, a young David Lynch was definitely taking notes when he saw Carnival of Souls for the first time. In fact, I probably got to Carnival of Souls through David Lynch. Probably recommended it.

Sarah:

If you're talking fifties movies, I'm much more into things like The Blob and Killer Tomatoes

Mark:

than them. This is this is creepy

Sarah:

crawly I like that. Coolie. Makes you feel dirty after you watch...

Mark:

It is a precursor to Night of the Living Dead.

Sarah:

Yeah.

Mark:

Like, Night of the Living Dead is such an advancement from this, but there's definitely parts to it. And there's no gore. There's no jump scares. There's no nothing. But it is like a two hour long fantastic, Twilight Zone episode.

Sarah:

Oh, okay. Yeah. Okay. I'm with you. Yep.

Sarah:

So, folks, what do you like to watch this time of year? What gets you in a It is your creepy goat in a spooky movie. I

Mark:

will send pictures of Halloween, and we will have another supercut. Probably our longest supercut will be coming out this week.

Sarah:

Yes. For season eight Yes. Of midsummer. Yes. Alright.

Sarah:

Until then. Bye, Maniacs.
