The BeWell Podcast series discusses a variety of topical wellbeing issues based on identified student pressure points and national health and wellbeing campaigns for our campus in Qatar.
Welcome to be, well, Doha. Hi, everyone. I'm Yana Hadad. Welcome to the New War podcast based in Doha. This is so weird and such a new move for AFGE College with the University of Aberdeen. I'm so excited and you should be excited too. So, there's already a podcast based in Aberdeen called the BeWell Podcast. That podcast has two seasons and around ten episodes per season. I was asked to be on their most recent episode where we discussed social anxiety and how to cope with it. This is where the BeWell Doha idea had sparked from. This is going to be a very open-ended podcast, will discuss many different topics with regards to wellbeing. Some of it will be serious. Some of it will be more fun. Hopefully it'll all be inspiring to you. It will be lovely for there to be a platform run by students. For the students, this podcast will aim to make us all feel safe, heard, and comfortable by normalizing and discussing topics that we may not talk about as openly or as often as we should. This podcast wants to involve you as much as possible, so obviously you have a chance to suggest a topic for an episode and you can even join me on an episode, and we can chat together. You can obviously contact me if you know me personally or you can contact our wellbeing officer in the student hub. Marwa She is lovely and would love to have you join me on an episode. Her email is wellbeing@ AFGE-Aberdeen.edu.qa. I am so excited to get started. It's going to be so fun. Stay tuned to find out when new episodes are being recorded and released. And of course, make sure to follow AFGE Aberdeen at whatever platform you like. You can also subscribe for free on Apple Podcasts, Google podcasts, and Spotify. And you can listen to these episodes on the University of Aberdeen's website. If you have any questions. You know where to find me. I'll see you on episode one.
