Each week I interview the most interesting person I know, then interview the most interesting person THEY know.
I've had this idea for a podcast for a long time. The core of it is that each of us has a person that we know that's really interesting. I've lived in Chicago, Arizona, California, and over that time, I've gotten to know some really interesting people. I was reading this article about podcasts and what to do if you were interested in making a podcast. And the big message that it said in it is, don't try to make a podcast about something you're not interested in.
Evan:So I thought, okay, let me make a podcast not about what I'm interested in, but about the people that we're interested in. I'm picking 12 of the most interesting people I know, sitting them down and interviewing them, asking them about their lives, about what I find so interesting about them. And then at the end of every episode, I'll ask them who they find most interesting, and they'll be the next guest. One of the things I want to explore with this podcast is what makes a person interesting. Is it something they've accomplished?
Evan:Is it something they've experienced? A huge part of this as well is I do not believe that you have to be famous or rich or well off to be interesting. I think that interesting comes from unique perspectives, unique experiences, and unique actions. And there are some people who just by a miracle have some strange take on the world. They are completely different than the rest of us, and I find that interesting.
Evan:The goal of this podcast isn't to interview famous people, funny people, people that you see in the news. The point of this podcast is to interview the people that those people pay attention to. We'll be releasing new episodes every week. I hope you'll join us.
