Good morning and welcome
to your morning cereal.
Okay, good morning
and welcome to Tuesday.
As we begin to dip
further into this week,
you should be aware of the fact that
there's gonna be even
more dipping required today.
That's because today is
National Tortilla Chip Day.
All right, now there are two questions
that follow that up, all right?
The first one, what's
your favorite tortilla chip?
Is it the round ones, the
triangles, the rectangles?
Okay, and the second
question here may be more important.
What kind of dip do you want?
Is it salsa?
Is it guacamole?
Maybe corn salsa?
I personally will take all the above.
All right, well, let's turn to
yesterday's trivia answer.
540 calories.
A Big Mac in the US has 540 calories,
which actually is a lot less than I
thought it would be.
Well, now it is time
for the essential vitamins
in your morning cereal, today's quote.
And it's from birthday boy
turning 49 today, just 49,
Floyd Mayweather Jr., who said, quote,
"A true champion will fight through
anything," end quote.
Now, genuine success and greatness,
they are defined by
relentless, unbreakable,
and a resilient mindset
that overcomes adversity,
that overcomes pain and
obstacles without quitting.
Now, does that sound
just like you this morning?
I hope so, I'm guessing so.
Well, let's go ahead and
hear from the experts now.
It is time to pour in some Let Them
Theory by Mel Robbins.
In this chapter entitled,
"Is There Someone Better?"
Mel dives into one of the
most corrosive questions
in modern relationships,
and honestly, in modern life.
With dating apps and career ladders
and curated highlight reels everywhere,
it is easy to believe
there's always a shinier option
just out of reach.
So, Mel writes, quote,
"When you're constantly
scanning for someone better,
"you'll never fully invest
in what you have," end quote.
Now, that line, it should
reframe the whole issue, okay?
The question isn't
whether someone better exists.
The question is whether
your constant comparison
is sabotaging depth.
Mel explains that doubt
often shows up during discomfort,
right?
Every relationship, romantic or
otherwise, it has friction.
But instead of leaning
in and communicating,
we sometimes
interpret discomfort as proof
that something
superior must exist elsewhere.
So, she warns, quote,
"The grass isn't greener somewhere else.
"It's greener where
it's watered," end quote.
Now, watering requires presence.
It requires attention and effort,
and sometimes vulnerability.
So, the Let Them
Principle is critical here.
If someone believes they can find better
and chooses to leave, well, Let Them.
You don't convince someone to value you.
You observe what they do.
But she also flips the mirror here.
If you are the one scanning and swiping
and fantasizing about
alternatives, ask yourself why.
Are you seeking alignment or are you
avoiding commitment?
Because commitment eliminates options,
and that can feel terrifying in a culture
that is obsessed with maximizing.
Mel writes this, quote, "Death comes from
decision," end quote.
When you decide you build roots,
when you hesitate, you
hover at the surface.
So, this chapter isn't about settling.
It's about choosing intentionally.
If someone truly
misaligns with your core values,
well, leave with clarity.
But if you're just restless
or comparing highlight reels,
recognize that constant searching
prevents real connection.
All right, your Tuesday
takeaway is stop scanning
for hypothetical upgrades
and start investing deeply
in the life and relationships
that you've consciously chosen.
All right, so enjoy your
chips today, but as always,
double dipping is highly frowned upon,
unless you rotate, right?
So, just pick your salsa and commit.
Now, the prize from the
bottom of the cereal box,
the morning cereal
trivia question of the day.
Here it is.
What is the largest plane made by Airbus?
