Cam EP:What is going on y'all? And if you can't tell, we got a bit of a tissue. Lake burned the pork loin. Okay. Welcome back to some more creepy unsettling fun with Kyle Yep.
Cam EP:And Wade and Lake and the house fire that we've created in here to keep it creepy. Let me know. Everybody point out if the flames get too out of control. Yeah. We're setting the mood for some more fun, some more unsettling, some more crazy stuff.
Cam EP:Look. The greatest thing about getting to do this with you guys is watching the wheels start turning. That is my favorite part. I love it when people come in skeptic because they instantly think that we're just a 100% believers. Mhmm.
Cam EP:Right off the bat. They're like, ah, these guys are crazy. They're a 100% believers. We've never said we believe any of it. We tell the stories.
Cam EP:The thing that makes it interesting is I want it to be real. Now I don't wanna see it because I'm scared, but I want it to be real. Right? I wanna be like, if I see something, there's gonna be at a distance. And in fact, just not long ago, we were speaking and Lake produced some kinda sound bite that a 100%, all of us in the room agreed that if you didn't know what it was Right.
Cam EP:And you heard it, you would legitly leave the woods. Oh, yeah. Straight up. What you pointed out was great. You had even said when it happened to you that if you didn't have some peers around you that kind of already was like, hey.
Cam EP:It's no big deal. You'd have been like, I'm going back to the truck.
Lake Pickle:I'd have left. Yeah. I would left.
Cam EP:100%.
Wade Shoemaker:Yeah. And might not have went back.
Lake Pickle:Yeah. This is a fair chance.
Cam EP:I mean Another unit. Yeah. There's plenty of units out there.
Lake Pickle:I'm gone to see y'all later, not coming back here ever. See you by.
Cam EP:Yeah. That's right.
Lake Pickle:Yeah. That's right.
Cam EP:It shook
Lake Pickle:me up there. That's for sure.
Cam EP:It ended up just being an old bull. Now you... We never discussed how old do you think it was.
Lake Pickle:I don't know. I mean, just double digits? Oh, for sure.
Wade Shoemaker:Talking about a bull elk.
Lake Pickle:Bull elk. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, if you are familiar with, like, looking at a whitetail's jawbone and just the wear of the teeth, like, we... You know, we're no expert.
Lake Pickle:I couldn't put a number on it. But when we... Because he ended up shooting that bull, I think, like, the second or third day we hunted him, but, I mean, his teeth were nonexistent. I mean, he had to be Just jaw. Yeah.
Lake Pickle:I mean, just old.
Cam EP:But... Sound bad.
Kyle EP:How many fights do you think he's won, man? All of them.
Cam EP:Yeah. All
Lake Pickle:of them. He sounded like a... I mean, he sounded like a dragon, man.
Kyle EP:Oh, they probably have respect. He does. Younger bulls
Cam EP:in the audience. Let's get out of here. Yeah. It sounds like it is wild, wild, wild. Also too, we're just gonna hop right into it.
Cam EP:We got Wade's orb story down that, man, it's cool. But it's cool. If you're gonna... If you wanna see anything, orbs are the things to say. Right?
Cam EP:I'm down with it. Kyle was off doing Kyle things, and he missed the whole conversation earlier. So I want Lake to just... It... It's not crazy.
Cam EP:Yep. There's nothing outlandish about any of it, but it is unsettling.
Lake Pickle:Yeah. So I said on the episode one, I I made a statement. I said the most harrowing things that have ever happened to me when I've been out in the woods, I've been able to rationalize. And then during episode one, I was like, well, no. I just lied because that's not true.
Lake Pickle:I didn't mean to lie, but I lied because there is one. Mhmm. There's one time.
Cam EP:Everybody's got one. Right?
Lake Pickle:And I'll just... I'll I'll tell you because you haven't heard it yet. These two have. This would... This wasn't that long ago.
Lake Pickle:This would have been twenty twenty nineteen. I don't think it was 2020. So within the... You know, not not terribly long ago. And springtime, we're turkey hunting.
Lake Pickle:Good friend of mine, Jordan, we turkey hunt together a lot. We were actually working for Primos at the time. And sometimes what we would do because we're hopelessly addicted to turkey hunting is we would schedule these other trips. Like, we'd have trips where we're going in video on a show, but then we'd be like, hey. While we're up here, let's hop over here.
Lake Pickle:And so we had planned to hunt. There's Illinois, and the trip before the work trip ran long. And so we were only gonna have, like, I think, like, two days is what
Cam EP:we're gonna have.
Kyle EP:I gotcha.
Lake Pickle:So we drive in there. We have separate vehicles so can we kinda divide and conquer, and it was like, alright. You you drive here. I'll drive here, and it's just big national forest. We're gonna scout.
Lake Pickle:And we go look around, and I can't remember if we were to find anything or not, but we ended up talking on the phone because we were gonna rendezvous that evening and kinda just stay in, you know, similar spots, especially if either of us had found anything promising. Turns out, like, between all the forest roads and stuff, we're like an hour apart from one another. And so it's like, we're like, okay. Cool. I'm gonna camp here.
Lake Pickle:You camp where you're at. We'll hunt in the morning respectively where each other are, and then we'll meet up later. Cool. My... Both of our plans are to sleep in the forest that night, which is not abnormal.
Lake Pickle:Like, sleeping sleeping in our truck. We carry our stuff to do that. And so that's what we do. I'm just in the middle of this national forest, and nightfall, I go to sleep. I don't...
Lake Pickle:I couldn't tell you what time it was. I woke up out of a dead sleep, and I'm just telling you as this... Exactly how this happened. I woke up out of a dead sleep, and I was terrified. Couldn't tell you why.
Lake Pickle:Couldn't tell you what I was terrified of. I just was like... It was a combination of, like, it felt like somebody's watching me, and then something bad is about to happen to me. Don't know why. Have no idea why.
Lake Pickle:And I... Like I said, I do this all the time. Right.
Kyle EP:All the shouldn't be
Cam EP:terrible.
Lake Pickle:Yeah. All the time. I didn't know where the feeling came from, and I never never felt it before ever. I just... As as quick as I could get into my driver's seat and crank up the truck and got out of there, that's what I did.
Lake Pickle:And then I was still... Actually, one of those things, I was hesitant to crank the truck up because I knew... I was like, what if the headlights come on and they're Stay out
Cam EP:of there.
Lake Pickle:You know, I just I just felt ridiculous, man. I just felt so ridiculous. But I crank the truck up, and I just leave. And I drive out of that National Forest to a Walmart parking lot and sleep in that parking lot. Didn't think it...
Lake Pickle:The next morning, wake up, turkey hunt, you know, whatever whatever, meet up with Jordan. Been thinking about it. It's, like, two years away. Didn't tell
Cam EP:him about it?
Lake Pickle:No. No. I I was... Dude, I was like, what do you oh, yeah. I got I got scared, and I drove to a parking lot that was well lit.
Kyle EP:I found Yeah. I got Yeah.
Lake Pickle:I got Sorry. I got scared. What'd you get scared of? No idea.
Cam EP:Yeah. Turning on my truck.
Lake Pickle:I told nobody that
Kyle EP:this happened. Good move. No. Because they... Once guys know they have that ammo, they're never gonna not hear it.
Cam EP:Can't let Lake hunt by himself.
Lake Pickle:So roughly two years later... I mean, at least two years later, my my wife and I, we're at Jordan Jordan, his wife's house, same guy. And we'd stir in the spring. We're talking about turkey hunting plans, we're talking about going somewhere, and we say, hey. We're gonna stay in the trucks.
Lake Pickle:And his wife or my wife, they said, I just hate it when y'all do that. And we're like, it's fine. Like, we do it all the time. That's gonna happen. You're in the national forest.
Lake Pickle:Like, it's fine. And they're like, I just don't like it. Just get a hotel. And they keep going on. And Jordan goes...
Lake Pickle:He's talking to his wife. He goes, Jesse, in all the years I've been doing this, there's only been one time that I've stayed in my truck where I thought something bad was gonna happen. And he goes on to tell this story about how he's sleeping in his truck in a national forest, and he wakes up terrified terrified and leaves. And I said, when? And he was like, what do you mean when?
Lake Pickle:I said, when? He's like, that was that trip me and you together. We were in Illinois. And I I... Hair stood up.
Cam EP:And I
Lake Pickle:was like, bro? And we put together at that table the same... At that... Like, two years later that that happened to us on the same night.
Kyle EP:See, that is wild.
Lake Pickle:Now the thing is nothing happened.
Kyle EP:Well, maybe if you didn't leave, something would have happened.
Lake Pickle:Know. We didn't see anything. Jordan saw something... Like, he saw some people on, like, motorcycles come screaming through there or something, but, like, same deal, just, like, woke out of a dead sleep, and we were an hour apart in the same national forest.
Cam EP:Yeah. And how many times had you done that? Like, you're talking about staining your
Lake Pickle:truck. Right? Hundreds. I count this.
Cam EP:Woken up from a dead sleep
Lake Pickle:Yeah.
Cam EP:With some sort of, like, innate DNA fear. Like, you need to get out of here.
Lake Pickle:Yeah. That's the only time that happened. I hope it never I hope it never happens again.
Kyle EP:Think people have access to some certain sense that they don't have all the time. Senses, I mean. I... And I'd rather always tell you, trust your gut. Yeah.
Kyle EP:More times than not, if you listen to your gut, you're gonna become okay. Yeah. And it's like, what is that? Yeah. You were perceiving something.
Lake Pickle:I have no
Cam EP:idea was he. Yeah. I
Lake Pickle:have no idea what, but I... That's never happened even before. Hasn't happened since. But, yeah, I mean, out of a dead sleep, and I was just like, I gotta go.
Kyle EP:I had something almost like that happen to me. Me, Cam, and his son, we were mule deer hunting up in the backcountry in Arizona, and we had we had hiked miles in. We... I mean, we had planned it. We had, you know, all of our stuff.
Kyle EP:We were planning on eating mouth house meals and stuff like that. Like, we were all set up. I have a hammock that I sleep in, and I had it strung up between two trees, and I'm probably 20 yards from him and his son. I wanna give them a little space. We went to bed at night, and I'm laying in my hammock, and I hear this noise.
Kyle EP:It's... And I'm like, what are they getting into? Like, is that camera my son Brandon, what are they
Cam EP:getting up at the...
Kyle EP:It's like eleven. What are they doing? So I unzip my my hammock, and I look out, and I'm like, man, I don't see nothing.
Cam EP:Yeah. You
Kyle EP:can hear it, bro. I'm not gonna hear back in. A few minutes later, I hear, and I'm like, is it raccoons? Like, what what am I hearing? And now all the Bigfoot stories I've read, all the strange experiences I've talked about on my show, they start going through my brain, and I'm like, dude, what has happened?
Kyle EP:Where's that Glock 19 I got? You know? Well, this happens a couple more times, and I finally realized it's the hair in my beard rubbing against the nylon in my freaking hammock. And, I mean, I was getting close to her. Dude, I think I'm gonna hike out of here.
Cam EP:Yeah. I don't wanna be the case. I mean,
Wade Shoemaker:I'm the Bigfoot.
Kyle EP:If it was me by myself and I wasn't with them, I'd probably be best. Yeah. If I wasn't with them, same kind of deal. I don't wanna be... Feel like I'm the worst.
Kyle EP:Yeah. If it was just me, I'd have been like that. I'm hiking up.
Lake Pickle:I'll see you guys later. I'm out.
Cam EP:Yeah. Left and he would've just killed me and my son over there in the dark. He'd been like, yeah. They're on the... He'd have walked out on their own.
Cam EP:And just left me. I'm like, it'll be fine. Scatter them. They never catch us all. And we got the next morning.
Cam EP:He's like, I had a monster come in the in the in the camp. And I'm like, really? He's like... He tells me, and he's like, it was me. Okay.
Kyle EP:Well, if I've ever met anybody that's been hunting for a long time and they told me that they've never ever ever been scared, I'm like, man,
Cam EP:I don't believe that. You're a liar.
Kyle EP:Everybody gets scared every once in while. 100100%. Not anymore, but, you know, when I was a kid and when I was out there camping.
Lake Pickle:At least spooked.
Kyle EP:Yeah. That's what it is. Spooky. I'm not, like, terrified, but,
Cam EP:you know, weird. Speaking of spooky Uh-oh.
Kyle EP:Uh-oh. This is a a common cryptid that many people may know about, many may not. Have you ever heard of the Jersey Devil? Never heard of the Jersey Devil? Okay.
Kyle EP:Well, there's even a hockey team named the Jersey Devils. It's this... There's folklore in that area of this thing. Let me tell you the story. This person says that I live in Central Illinois now, but I grew up in New Jersey, deep in the Pine Barrens.
Kyle EP:And if you're raised there, the Jersey Devil isn't just a campfire story, it's a part of life. Everyone knows someone who's seen it. My grandmother claims she did, so did my father. Even my old boss one time staged a prank in the nineteen seventies that ended up being logged as an official Jersey devil sighting. It was never described as violent, just elusive, watchful, something that kept its distance.
Kyle EP:I never feared it. I rode my four wheeler all the time through the Pine Barrens without a a second thought. That changed one night in the early fall of one of my teenage years. At the time, was working on a blueberry farm inside Wharton State Forest. In our shifts, I'd usually drive my coworker, my brother's girlfriend, Janice, home since she didn't have a license.
Kyle EP:One night, hours after the sun had gone down, I dropped her off and started the long drive back home. The roads were narrow gravel paths swallowed by darkness, tall blueberry bushes pressed on both sides, and beyond them stood a thick ancient old trees. I had driven these roads hundreds of time, mind you. The isolation never bothered me. Not until this night.
Kyle EP:He says, as I approached the final stretch before the main highway, a sudden overwhelming sensation washed over me. I felt like I was being watched. The feeling was so intense, I hit the brakes and stopped the car. I locked the doors. My heart was pounding.
Kyle EP:I reached under my seat and wrapped my fingers around a heavy wrench I kept there and then stared straight down the road. Nothing. Just endless bushes on both sides. The blueberry plants were out there, were, you know, decades old of growth, taller than they should have been. I told myself I was imagining things and then eased the car into forward, and that's when I saw it.
Kyle EP:Something moved High up at the top one of the bushes, I stopped again and focused against the bright star filled sky. I saw a silhouette, and what I saw was something huge. It was crouched on top of that bush. I couldn't really see the details, no face, no color, but I could make out the shape clearly. It had a massive head, a body larger than any man.
Kyle EP:It was hunched low, coiled tight, and it was ready to spring at any second. And what terrified me the most was there was no way something that big should have been able to balance on top of that blueberry bush without snapping it in half. They say, stared at it frozen, then my foot slipped off the clutch and the car stalled. The engine's sudden silence was deafening, and the sound was enough
Wade Shoemaker:Gooping my pants
Cam EP:right there.
Kyle EP:Creature's head snapped towards me.
Cam EP:Bump bump. Buh ba. Oh. In
Kyle EP:one violent explosive mow... Motion, it launched itself into the air. I didn't see any wings, but I darn sure could hear them, the powerful rushing whoosh that tore through the night. And as it flew off, he's like, I don't know what happened. I went home.
Kyle EP:I told my grandmother about it, and she's like, oh, yeah. I had a sighting years ago. My dad said he'd seen it. And the reason I like this story, because part of my family is from New Jersey, and my uncle Jack swears that he saw it. And it's like...
Kyle EP:It has different descriptions. It's... But it's most commonly, if I could think of something, it's like, imagine a gargoyle.
Cam EP:Like Jeepers creepers?
Kyle EP:Yeah. Yeah. But maybe but maybe smaller. Where'd you get them peepers? That's right.
Kyle EP:Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. So I don't know. There's a lot of people in that region that claim they see stuff like that.
Kyle EP:If you ever go to the Pine Barrens in New Jersey, it's nothing but just fire roads.
Lake Pickle:Really?
Kyle EP:Just dense forest. People think of New Jersey, they think of the Sopranos. They think of New York City, but southern part of the states, it's very dense woods.
Lake Pickle:And if you were to go in there and bring up... I could probably find someone that said they'd seen one of these things.
Kyle EP:Oh, yeah. Probably. But, like, with every piece of folklore, how many people just tell their kids that to keep the the
Cam EP:legend going? You know? But if
Wade Shoemaker:get home, that Jersey devil's out there.
Kyle EP:Exactly. Tell it to kids. You know? Don't go out in the... I mean, that these these legends continue.
Wade Shoemaker:His name's actually Tony. Soprano. Right?
Kyle EP:Yeah. That's right. May be. Right? Don't want you out there because you might find the bodies that they
Cam EP:might put out there. Right?
Lake Pickle:How has nobody made a movie about that? That seems right.
Kyle EP:Devil? I'm pretty sure
Lake Pickle:there is. Okay. I was about say this this seems ripe for a horror movie. Yeah. If there hasn't been one, I don't know.
Cam EP:So which one?
Wade Shoemaker:About the coyote.
Kyle EP:Oh, yeah. You're gonna like
Lake Pickle:this.
Kyle EP:Yeah. So this is a skinwalker.
Cam EP:This is, yeah, more of along like a skinwalker story. When I was a kid, little boy, one of my dad's good friends was a farrier, and they rodeoed together and all that stuff. And he had retired from one thing and did... In any way was a farrier, his name was Fritz. Fritz's family come from Comanche, Texas and down a little south of there.
Cam EP:Fritz was... I thought he was old when I was... This... He told this story, I think, I was like... I always say, like, 10 or 12 years old whenever I heard it.
Cam EP:He only told it one time, and he only told it to me and my dad, and I don't have any idea what brought it up and why it happened. He tells us a story just sitting at his house one day. They'd finished team roping. We're all hanging out. They got the horses tied.
Cam EP:They're just... Everybody's hanging out, which is just me and my dad and him. For some reason, Fritz starts telling his story about going to see his granddad when he lived in Comanche when Fritz was a little boy. So this, like I said, would have been in the thirties probably or maybe late twenties, early thirties, somewhere right around in there. His granddad rode horse everywhere he went.
Cam EP:Like, I'm not even sure his granddad even a car back then. I have no clue. But they lived out in the country, all this stuff. His his grandmother had passed away, I believe, at the time. So, anyway, he's down there hanging out with his granddad, and and they're going into town one day horseback, and they see a white coyote.
Cam EP:And I guess according to his granddad, this coyote had been causing problems or it was just a coyote in general, they got cattle, they got calves, they got all this. So they don't really care, but they see, like, this white coyote. So the granddad pulls up and zaps it. Right? He's like, alright.
Cam EP:We hit it. They do a few more things. They come back. They go to look for it. They're like, let's go check it out.
Cam EP:They get out and they start blood trailing it. And Fritz said, granddad's carrying the rifle. Fritz's following him. They're going along. There's blood spot, blood spot.
Cam EP:He said, they work their way along till they come up to this old house. And he said, there's old fence around it and the whole thing, and this house has been out here forever. And Fritz's granddad stopped him, and he was like, that's the old native American woman's house. Like, everybody in town has always talked to her like she's a shaman or a witch or... You know, it was always in every...
Cam EP:I mean, even growing up when we grew up, there's always the one scary house. Everybody's like, that house is haunted or those people kill people. You know? It's just folklore through the city. So the blood goes onto her property, circles around, and it's like...
Cam EP:Goes into her house. So the granddad's like, she's got a coyote. Like, what's going on? Starts banging on the door. No answer.
Cam EP:So he busts in. When he busts in, there she is dead on the floor, the old woman shot right where he'd shot the coyote. So the granddad freaks out a little bit, takes Fritz. They go into town and get the sheriff. They go get the sheriff.
Cam EP:They go get all the... Like, several people, bring them back out. Well, then the sheriff's like, what are you doing shooting people? He takes and shows them where they were at, starts talking to Fritz. Fritz tells the same story the granddad's telling.
Cam EP:They find the blood trail. They blood trail it all the way to the house the exact same way, the whole thing. And Fritz was like, that was all that happened. He goes, the sheriff told us. He was like, we'll take it from here.
Cam EP:Nothing. And that was all that happened. Now the craziest part of that whole story to me was I don't know what made him tell it because he wasn't that guy. He was an old, old cowboy that just... It...
Cam EP:All of this kinda... It would've just been nonsense to him, the whole thing of it. But the... Or at least I would've thought it would until he told this story. He told it one time and he never talked about it again.
Cam EP:He never said another word, none of that. I mean, like, I I still to this day have no idea what made him just tell it in his backyard and he told it nonchalant like I just told you and then he's like, well, we better go finish brushing out them horses, and then they just get up and left, and that was that. And that was the first time I remember ever hearing as a kid like a skinwalker story was him telling.
Kyle EP:But you didn't know that at the time you
Cam EP:had no idea what it was. Later. And, like, what's funny is I remember hearing the story, but as a kid, then I just tossed it away. I didn't think anything of it. And it wasn't until way later in life that we start doing this, and I'm like, I remember, and then it just comes back.
Cam EP:You're like, I cannot believe even what that story... Why he even felt the need to share just for that. I have no clue. No clue. But I have one here that I wanna share with you guys.
Cam EP:This took place here in 1985. It says, this was old wood south of what's now the Meyer Nature Preserve near Martinsville, Indiana. An autumn afternoon in old growth woodland area in Central Indiana just south of the Meyer National Preserve, a man named JJ and his brother PJ were out squirrel hunting. Said each one of them was in separate vehicles. As the light began to fade, JJ decided he's gonna head back so he could get home before leaving for work that evening.
Cam EP:PJ said, I'm gonna stay back here in the timber. Gonna hunt a little bit more. So JJ said he hadn't gone far before all the calm is crazy. He said from behind him in the direction he had just left, he just starts hearing shotgun blasts. So it's coming from his brother.
Cam EP:He said, then came something worse. He says, what I thought was the worst with the shotgun blast, he said, I start hearing something, and it's yelling and screaming. And he said, at this point, it's because I can hear panic in the voice of whoever's making this sound. Right? He runs.
Cam EP:He thought his brother was attacked. His brother might've got hurt. He doesn't know what happened. JJ starts running through the woods. He's headed towards the gunfire.
Cam EP:He said he finally gets to the spot, and when he gets there, he finds his brother sitting on the ground up against a big large boulder. He's, like, leaned up, sitting there holding the gun. He said, at first glance, he's not hurt. There's no wounds. There's no nothing.
Cam EP:He goes, but you could see it in his face that something bad had happened. You could just... He's just in shock. He said he's pale. He's vacant.
Cam EP:He just whatever went down, it shook him. So JJ starts talking to him. He's like, what's going on? PJ's not responding. He works with him for, like, four or five minutes to try to knock him out of being in shock before he finally starts coming around.
Cam EP:He says when when his brother... When Pete kinda comes to, all he does, said he didn't say any word, nothing, he just takes one arm, raises it up, and he points at a big oak tree. This is sitting there, so apparently, there's one that's just right there nearby, and he just points right at it. Under his breath, the brother hears under his breath, he starts stuttering. He's he's, like, shaking and stuttering, and he said one thing, big ape.
Cam EP:That's all he says. Big ape. And he's like, what are you talking about? And he says again, ape. And it's like he almost starts crying.
Cam EP:PJ is just, like, falling apart. JJ gets him gathered up. You know? Let's... Hey.
Cam EP:Let's go do all this. Get some coffee out, and his thermos pours him up. They're sitting there. He's trying to just kinda knock him out of it. And I'm sure if you're sitting around, you don't really think that he's like, oh, yeah.
Cam EP:There's a monster right there in the trees. You know? You're like, this guy's oak. Just sit down for a second. What happened?
Cam EP:What goes on? So PJ sitting there with peas, drinking and all this stuff. His buddy... Or his brother Jay, he starts walking back. He said, I walked back to the tree he was pointing at.
Cam EP:I'm like, what's... What does he see? He gets there, and he said, it is torn up. The the ground is tore up. Everything is disturbed.
Cam EP:Branches are broken out of the tree and knocked on the ground. He said something had either been there and ripped it out of the tree or what looked like to him come down out of that tree with, like, a vengeance tearing as it come down out of it. So as they spend a little time there, PJ, the brother Pete, he starts getting a little more, like, lucid as what's going on, and then he starts freaking out. Like, you can just see the fear. Now.
Cam EP:The shock is over. The fear is setting in. He gets him to his feet, and he said he's just... Pee is just freaking out. Said the brother's just not in shock now, but he's just frantic, and it's overwhelming the whole situation.
Cam EP:He's afraid. He's like, we have to go. We have to go. It might come back. And he's like, what are you talking about?
Cam EP:It might come back. He's like, we have to get out of here. So as they're getting ready, of course, he's trying to get him up. He's like, tell me what happened. PJ tells him, he said, you left.
Cam EP:And about ten minutes after you left, I'm chilling here, and I heard what sounds like a limb, like it would just break out of the tree. You hear the snap, the crack, you're like, okay. He said, I thought it just self pruning, like a pecan tree or something. It just snaps and falls out. He said, I look up into that tree, and when I look up, all I see is a large version of, like, something big and a hominid, two arms, two legs, coming down out of the tree, but it's just tearing limbs as it's crawling down, breaking out of it.
Cam EP:On its way down. On its way down. Which is scary. Which... Yeah.
Cam EP:Because now it means business. Right? Like, I'm down here. I'd... Whole lot rather you stay up.
Cam EP:Can we switch? Or just the force it takes to rip branches on the way down. Way down.
Kyle EP:Yeah. Because it's just Yeah.
Cam EP:And the weight whatever this thing must have been. Like, the weight alone must have been crazy about this. He said at first, it was only just the shape, the motion of this thing coming down. But as it come down gaining speed, he said he could hear it start grunting as it's putting in effort. That's when PJ froze.
Cam EP:He was like, I don't know what this is. I can't move. I can't eat anything. He started telling his brother, I was afraid if I ran, it's gonna kill me. Like, I don't know what it is, but if I run, it's gonna get me.
Cam EP:Hey. This is what we talked about before. Trying to take in the situation, he's like, I don't know what happened, but he puts the 12 gauge in gear. Right? He's like, I know what's about to happen.
Cam EP:He... That's when he starts touching it off. He starts just ripping shots at it. What he described... Goes on to describe was not a bear.
Cam EP:He said this thing was staring at him when it descended the tree, and it looked like a giant ape like thing that come down out of this tree. Of course, they're... Like I said, they're squirrel hunting. He's walking around. He's like, ugh.
Cam EP:Comes down, then the thing hits the ground and starts, I think, of the noise that you heard. Yeah. Right. Growling at him. It's screaming, and that was the screams the brother had heard that he thought was his brother PJ.
Cam EP:It it was this thing screaming at his brother. So he said it's in full rage. And he goes, now you have to also understand this. It started, like, 15 foot above the ground and just tore down in seconds and then hung. They said it hits the ground, still arming the tree, yelling, and then it's like doing a display like you would see like primates do.
Cam EP:He goes on to describe that this thing is, like, getting big, flexing, doing all... Like, doing a dominance performance Mhmm. Trying, I guess, to push them off, probably thinking it was something along this. Now the wild thing is this. He...
Cam EP:The brother PJ says, if I had to guess from the limb that this thing had its hand on and it's standing on the ground, He said it's probably 12 foot from the ground of the limb, whatever this thing has reached up and holding it. He said this thing notices, I guess, the movement from the brother. Right? So it starts like, oh, he knows something's going on. PJ also says the most unnerving thing to him about the whole deal was it had breasts.
Cam EP:Like Patty. So just like Patty, like the Patterson Gimlin old video is it's a female Bigfoot. Patterson Gimlin? Yeah. The old...
Cam EP:All the... If you've ever seen the old Bigfoot video where it looks like they're... The Bigfoot's walking in the snow and it's kinda grainy, and it turns and looks back at the camera and goes and all that, and you... That's the Patterson Gimlin. Oh, okay.
Cam EP:Yeah. That's the old, allegedly the very first video that was ever taken Yeah. Of of Bigfoot. This is exactly what they look like. That's basically what PJ, the brother, describes is that was a female in the tree come down, raising all the ruckus.
Cam EP:PJ freaks out. He's like, I don't wanna die, and that's when he starts... Boom. The kicker is he's only got six six shot was all that he had in it. He's squirrel hunting.
Cam EP:Right? So now he's lighting up a giant monster Yeah. Just enough to
Kyle EP:activate it. Right?
Cam EP:Like, hit it in the face if you're gonna do anything and then run. He says he shoots it twice. He hits that thing. It drops from the tree and hits the ground, but it don't go down. It's just like it peppered it.
Cam EP:It dropped. He said it didn't chase him. It just said the strangest thing of all during this whole deal is it dropped down and then it didn't run. It just stood there looking at him. And he said at this point, the thing's, like, 50 foot away staring.
Cam EP:It's not staggering. He said it's not bleeding. It's not screaming. You can tell it's hurt, but it's not, like like, injured. It's just, oh, it's a little hurt.
Cam EP:But it's staying there like that. He goes on to say that it turns and leaves. Of course, his brother JJ's like, this is outlandish. Like, like, I'm down with some stuff. Just tell us you missed a squirrel, bro.
Cam EP:Just tell us you're a bad shotted squirrel. It's no big deal. He says, when I get to the tree, he goes, I don't find any blood anywhere, but he goes, everything that I have found followed... Besides that, followed to exactly what my brother had said. He found the branches torn down.
Cam EP:He found the bark ripped down off the tree. He found... He never talks about finding footprints, but he can tell that something went on when all this stuff... And then, of course, he heard the gunfire. He heard the whole deal.
Cam EP:My thing, when it gets... And that's what I love the whole story is, like, the brother had this interaction with it. The other brother hears it, hears it, and comes back. If you were gonna make a story up, you would... To me, you would be more apt to make it up to make yourself be like the hero.
Cam EP:You would be like, yeah. There it was. I shot it. I run it off, you know, and all this stuff. None of that happens.
Cam EP:Everything is about how this dude literally folded when it came time to have to, like... It's fight or flight. He shot and then just went into shock. Right? And, like, that was it.
Cam EP:Nothing more than that. And that's what the brother was like. They would... There's nothing to gain by making this story up. There was zero to gain.
Cam EP:He... And he was like, he decided to pull it off when I'd been gone for ten minutes on a ten minute walk back to the truck. He's like, so I can't explain what he saw, what it was in the tree, any of that. All I can think of is... Of course, it's...
Cam EP:It follows along the lines of Bigfoot, but the idea of them that big hiding in a tree, I've never... In a million years, I'm like, there's not gonna be a nine foot monster
Kyle EP:Right.
Cam EP:Up in an oak tree or whatever it is. Like, there's there's just no way. But, apparently, that's where this old Bigfoot decided it was gonna hang out and attack some squirrel hunters.
Kyle EP:And then you get so many questions. It's like, well, maybe he saw something, but it wasn't really nine foot. It was only five foot, things like that. So, I mean
Cam EP:The height is always like the dead giveaway. For me.
Kyle EP:For me, when they're super gigantic, I'm like, I don't know. Because we've had
Cam EP:stories like twelve footers. People are like twelve foot tall. And and look. I'm not saying it can't exist. We're speculating on an animal that we don't even know if it really exists.
Cam EP:But something about a twelve foot tall monster just... It's never set well. I've always... A six foot to seven foot I could get behind, but once you kinda get past that, I'm like... That's why, like, we've discussed in the past.
Cam EP:That's why, like, we're big fans of the Fey or the because, like, you could think of an 18 tall something hiding in the woods. You may never see it.
Wade Shoemaker:Mean being able to stay undetected for so long.
Kyle EP:Yeah. Right. Oh, yeah.
Wade Shoemaker:But I say, I mean, I have a hard enough... I have a hard time believing an eighteen inch person and a nine foot
Cam EP:person Yeah. Exist. I'm gonna
Lake Pickle:I'm gonna do something I haven't done in any of these episodes.
Cam EP:Kiss Kyle?
Lake Pickle:No. I'm not ready for that yet. He hasn't taken me to dinner. But He
Cam EP:said yet.
Lake Pickle:Yeah. Yeah.
Cam EP:Yeah. I mean, there's always... Hey. There's always a shot.
Lake Pickle:He has to buy me dinner for
Wade Shoemaker:When we go to the light together.
Lake Pickle:But I'm actually gonna... I'm gonna I'm gonna throw out a line in favor of what this guy might have seen instead of being the skeptic. Lay it on. What
Cam EP:I mean
Lake Pickle:is is how many of you in, like, let's say, deer hunting. Right? How many of y'all have been subject to ground shrinkage? You see a buck and you're like, oh, he's gigantic. And then you shoot him and you walk up to him and you're
Cam EP:like, oh, oops. Yeah. We don't talk about this.
Lake Pickle:Yeah. You know exactly what I mean. Or, like, stuff just... You catch it in a flash and and just in, like, the heat of the moment, it seems larger than it is.
Kyle EP:Oh, yeah.
Lake Pickle:If this dude actually had an experience where he thought this thing was gonna kill him or whatever, I could see where to him, he's like, it was twelve foot tall.
Kyle EP:Oh, yeah. Exactly.
Cam EP:You know
Lake Pickle:what I mean? Like like... And in reality, it might have been, like, six foot tall, but I can understand why it just seemed gigantic and monstrous.
Cam EP:Like, when we discussed the the panthers. Yeah. Right? And like you told me, is it's misidentification? I said, I'm...
Cam EP:It might be a big black house cat. Yeah. But where it's at, and it's next to a barbed wire fence, and it's at a certain range.
Kyle EP:You have that problem with photographs because they're like, well, I have no scales. Yeah. So I
Cam EP:can't And what you're talking about even goes into when people start talking about thunderbirds. When you hear the tales of the giant birds that the Native Americans talked about, and then there's still tales of people seeing giant birds all around. That's always the thing that gets me is, like, it's the scale. When you look into the sky, how do you scale something for size? If you don't if you don't know exactly and you're not well trained in exactly what you're looking at, like for aviation per se.
Cam EP:You got guys that know the size of those things that no matter what height they're at, they're like, I know exactly how big that thing is. Right. Because I've seen them on the ground. I've done those... I'm extremely familiar with those planes.
Cam EP:If you're not familiar with a bird, it's kinda hard to say, like, oh, okay. That's a that's a buzzard. Right? So we're talking, what, 36 to 40 inch wingspan, right, on a regular typical old buzzard. How are you gonna know if that's eight foot That's what I'm saying.
Cam EP:In the sky? That's the whole deal. And especially, like you pointed out, especially, and I'm not saying that... We're not saying it didn't happen. We're just saying that you could easily misidentify something in the heat of the moment.
Cam EP:That's the best way to think about it. It's just like with the ground shrinkage is how many times it's moving fast.
Lake Pickle:Yeah.
Cam EP:You're like, that's him. That's a 10. And then you get him, and you're like, oh.
Lake Pickle:Yeah. Well, and if this guy is terrified enough to the point where he's actually shooting at this thing Yeah.
Cam EP:Yeah.
Lake Pickle:It probably seems larger than life.
Kyle EP:Oh, yeah. Exactly. Yeah.
Cam EP:I totally understand.
Kyle EP:I mean, like, I know... We both know a guy who's a big time hunter. I mean, he hunts up in Alaska for moose all the time. Mhmm.
Cam EP:They have
Kyle EP:to take a bush plane to get in and stuff. And he says, where where... They were way out there. And he's like, I looked up, and I saw a ginormous bird. Yeah.
Kyle EP:He's like, I don't know what it was, but it had, like, a 25 foot wing.
Cam EP:Well, what... And and we're always wanting
Kyle EP:to say, man, we don't know what that could be. They go It's probably
Cam EP:every year and have for, like, the last twelve years, and they go in for two to three weeks at a time.
Lake Pickle:And where are they going?
Cam EP:In Alaska. Up in... And he... They usually kill moose like crazy up there. Just me I ask him the same thing.
Cam EP:I go, how do you know? How do you know how big it was? And he said, to be honest, the only thing that I was bouncing it off of was when the bush plane left. He said, when I'm standing down there and watch that bush plane fly over, I know how big it is because I rode in it. Mhmm.
Cam EP:And he's like, and it comes by every so often. You know, you put your flags out on the ground, and it knows whether... Do you need us to stop? Do you need us to drop off something? They have all the flags and these markers.
Cam EP:He's like, so we would see him, you know, like, every four days, five days. He might fly by. He said that's the only thing that I went off was the fact of I know how big that plane is roughly, but it was the same time. I'm like... And he still to this day is like, it's impossible.
Cam EP:He's like, it can't be real. It can't be real, but he was like
Kyle EP:And he's a big skeptic. I mean, he doesn't Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And he's like, I can't explain it.
Kyle EP:He's like, it didn't look like a pterodactyl or like whatever Wade was saying. He's like, no. It just looks like
Cam EP:a big eagle. A big eagle. And I'm like, I don't
Wade Shoemaker:know what California Condor.
Kyle EP:Yeah. It wasn't a California Condor or something like that. I asked him that, and he was like, no. I don't think so.
Lake Pickle:See, those stories, can... I'm way less skeptical about, which I'm I'm I'm revealing my own biases. But, like Yeah. As far as, like, talk about, like, I wanna believe, like, the stuff like that that's, like, out... Seems more tangible.
Lake Pickle:It's not as far out there as a glimmer man or a Yeah. Dwindy. And it's like Alaska, the final frontier Yeah. Could Maybe. Is there a chance off to point.
Lake Pickle:Oh, dude. Yeah. Hidden gems out there. Yeah. You wanna get me believing in something, like species of animals that, like like, do we really know what's
Cam EP:on there?
Wade Shoemaker:Like, if all the Sasquatches were in Alaska, could believe
Cam EP:it. Yeah. I would.
Lake Pickle:You have my attention. Yeah.
Cam EP:Well, look at the history of them in Alaska. I mean, they're on totem poles. They're written on there on all kinds of stuff. The history of the history of those creatures up there is That's
Wade Shoemaker:where I would be like, yeah. Probably.
Lake Pickle:You know,
Cam EP:if I
Lake Pickle:was gonna be
Cam EP:the one, that's where I'd go. Yeah. For sure.
Wade Shoemaker:You got plenty of hair. You're gonna stay warm.
Kyle EP:Well... And people say that, you know, Bigfoot or Sasquatch or whatever you wanna call it is interdimensional, and that's why you don't ever find the bodies is they're somehow able to cross over into a different dimension. Scientists have proved that.
Lake Pickle:This is
Kyle EP:a lot dimensions. But I'm always like, well, maybe once
Cam EP:Go right back to skeptic. Yeah. I mean, you don't know.
Kyle EP:Maybe it once was a real living thing that's no longer around, and when they see them, they're seeing the ghost of one. Why can only people have ghosts? Why can't a hominid have a ghost that's close to humans? Why can't you see a a horse's ghost or an elephant's ghost? Like, who makes the rules?
Kyle EP:Not me.
Cam EP:Yeah.
Kyle EP:I don't know. But that's why... And that's why I... If you were asking me today, I'd say I don't believe Blake Foot's real because I just... Back and forth, I'm like, I just don't see how come nobody ever, ever, ever, ever finds any footwork.
Kyle EP:What about now? Well, that's not true. They found blood. I'm like, yeah. Well, they never do any tests on it.
Kyle EP:Nobody ever has a good picture of it. Oh, yeah. The Bigfoot hair. Like, nothing.
Lake Pickle:Yeah. The Bigfoot... Same deal. It's like if someone was like, is Bigfoot real? If I had to answer, I'd like, no.
Kyle EP:That's what I
Cam EP:would say. I want it to be real. Sure. It'd be cool. But then I go back to the dude that I know that gave up everything for.
Kyle EP:Then I read a story and
Cam EP:I'm like, man, what is he doing? Fair enough. Shake him up? And see, now you understand every other day I wake up, and I'm like, it's real today. It's not real this time.
Cam EP:And it's like that with everything because the people that we've spoke to over all these years that have had these encounters that come up to you and they're like, hey. Can I tell you something? Right? And then and then they just open up and they're... And then when you find out that they have quit doing what they love because that's always the way I approach it.
Cam EP:Think of anything that you love with all your passion, and what would it take for you to walk away from it from one siding of one thing? What would it take to... Are you gonna lie about it? You're gonna make it up? Just...
Cam EP:If you don't wanna hunt, just quit hunting. Nobody's gonna think any less. If you're just like, I'm just not interested anymore. That's a lot better than saying, I saw a monster that scared me so bad. I'm gonna sell everything I own, everything I own, and I'm not gonna let my kids go out in the woods anymore.
Cam EP:Like, we're never doing it. We're never doing it again. That's where I come back to with it whenever I start going, just because I have not seen anything and I have not experienced anything, I'm like, yeah. You know, there's a lot of stuff. I've never been to Australia, but I hear it's real.
Cam EP:You know? I've not seen it, but, I mean, it's there.
Kyle EP:Tell them your buddy Wade's clothesline story. That's a good one.
Cam EP:Oh, Daryl's thing? I used... When I worked at the the municipality there in town, I had a a guy that was a contractor for the state of Texas that would come every quarter, and we would pull some samples for the state and do all this. He was from East Texas. So I got to talking to him, and he found out...
Cam EP:You know, I told him about the podcast on it when he told me about he's from East Texas, and I'm like, man, you have any stuff go down? He come back the next quarter, and he's like, man, I started listening to the show. He's like, yeah. I've got some pretty wild stories. But he was like, I didn't know they were wild stories until way later in life.
Cam EP:I said, what are you talking about? And he... So he started giving me a friend's sense. He was like... He goes, I was an accident.
Cam EP:He was like, my brother is, like, fifteen years older than I am or something. It was one of those deals. Uh-oh. He's got, like, two brothers. Yeah.
Cam EP:He was one of those ones where they're like, oops. Yeah. So his brother had been... Was in the military for a good bit. So...
Cam EP:And they, like I said, lived out in the middle of nothing. He was like... They were poor as church mice, lived out in the middle of nowhere East Texas. So everything they did... He goes, for Christmas, we couldn't afford gifts.
Cam EP:We just always go camping. That was what we did every Christmas, always go out in the woods. And they lived out in the woods there in East Texas. He said his brother comes home from the military... Army, marines, I forgot what he was in.
Cam EP:Anyway, he comes in, and Daryl's, like, nine, eight or nine, maybe 10 at the time. So they're sitting there eating dinner, and they'd been having problems with chickens getting taken out of the roost. They didn't know... Figured it was coyotes, bobcats, foxes, something. No big deal.
Cam EP:So it goes down while they're eating. They start hearing the chickens making noise. Everything's going crazy. So the brother gets up and grabs his pistol, and he's like, I'm going. And he heads out the front door.
Cam EP:So Daryl said, I wanna be like my brother, the awesome military guy. Right? So he's like, I'm going too. So he ran out the back door. He said, I'm running to get to the chicken coop.
Cam EP:My brother's going this way. He said, I'm in a full sprint and run into mom and hung a rug off of the clothesline. And he said, I'm in the dark and just run into this big floor rug, and it blows me off my feet. He's like, I hit it like I hit the wall. Boom.
Cam EP:He goes down. He's like, I've got mud. It stinks. I've got leaves. He's like, I got all kinds of crap on me.
Cam EP:He said, I get up. I'm kinda like, come back inside. The brother's like, we didn't see anything. I had the flashlight. They couldn't find anything.
Cam EP:He goes, what happened to you? And he goes, mind you, I'm filthy, right, from running this whole deal. And he was like... Starts complaining, mom's got the, you know, the rug on the clothesline. My dad's like, your mother doesn't have a rug on the clothesline.
Cam EP:He's like, what are you talking about? He's like, yeah. I ran into it. It was like one of those real coarse outdoor rugs. He's like, we don't have one.
Cam EP:He's like, yeah. They go out with a flashlight, and there's like, there's nothing out there. Nothing. So at that point, Daryl's like, what did I run into? Because he's got mud and stuff on him and leaves, and and he said it stunk.
Cam EP:It smelled real, like, musty and swampy and stinky. He's like, that's when I thought it was just an old wet rug mom had out there. Turns out it wasn't. He said, I didn't think anything of it. You're a kid.
Cam EP:You don't know. He said, my buddies would come over, and two times a year, he's like, some in the fall and some in the spring, he goes, the mountain lions would come through, start making all kinds of noise, like they're breeding and all this stuff, and he was like, dad would always say, y'all can't go out there. He's like, it's breeding season or whatever they're coming through, you can't go out there. He's like, alright. He said it wasn't until I was grown that my daughter goes to do a report on mountain lions.
Cam EP:Same type of deal. She does this whole thing, makes a PowerPoint, starts playing the YouTube sounds of the mountain lions. The day... Daryl's like, oh, yeah. That's great.
Cam EP:You know? That sounds gonna be awesome. He said all of that's done. He tells his wife that's... That night, he's like, that's not what I heard.
Cam EP:He goes, whatever that was is... He's like, I don't know what that is. He said, that's a mountain lion. I hadn't... That's not what we heard growing up.
Cam EP:I don't know what it is. Again, another two or three weeks goes by, and Daryl says his son is watching something on the computer or whatnot, and it's like a finding Bigfoot or some of the silly Bigfoot stuff. And he's hitting it, and they're playing those gals, those sounds like they're trying to call them doing the calls. Daryl said... Excuse me.
Cam EP:Daryl goes, I don't know if this was exactly what it was, but he goes after he gets done and all that, he brings his wife in, and he's like, that's the sound that I was hearing every time my dad... He said they would come through for two weeks at a time twice a year, and we would hear those sounds, and my dad would say, you can't go in the woods. And then after those sounds would go and you wouldn't hear them for a little bit, dad was like, yep. You can go in the woods all you want to after that. No big deal.
Cam EP:He's like, so what did my old man know about whatever was going on out there and dealing with this stuff like it... Because he's like, my dad almost never smiled. I'm sure if you were the the last boy in your thirteen years or so younger than all your brothers, no wonder your dad never smiled. Right? He's Yeah.
Lake Pickle:Looked at
Cam EP:you like, really? You're ruining my retirement. But, yeah, he was like, his dad was not one of those guys. Like, was, you know, typical old dude from the war. So
Kyle EP:The missing chickens, running into something big, hearing
Cam EP:Hearing all the calls.
Kyle EP:Hearing the calls. You know? I mean, I don't know what he ran into. Maybe he ran into a bear. I don't know.
Cam EP:Yeah. I have no idea. I have no idea. But that's what... And and Daryl never said it was Bigfoot.
Cam EP:It was Bigfoot. He was like, I don't know what it was. But it starts kinda lining out with all the crazy stories that I've heard growing up out there of what it could be.
Kyle EP:I mean, I've heard these guys that go out hunting for Bigfoot. They go out and they do tree knocks. And then a few minutes later, they'll hear the Bigfoot tree knocking back. So, like, man, you gotta go with me this next week. I know a spot.
Kyle EP:I'll... Well, you come with me. You'll hear them. They do this for a couple weeks. Well, it turns out it's two different groups of people knocking back and forth.
Kyle EP:There's no Bigfoot.
Cam EP:It's like calling out, and you call up somebody else?
Kyle EP:Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Cam EP:It's the same thing. Goes on with the Bigfoot. Community all
Kyle EP:that story and, like, the the Chris... Gary Christianson story where a principal dressed up as Bigfoot to scare the kids, but then never told the kids, so they I
Cam EP:told you that.
Kyle EP:Yeah. Their whole life. Yeah. So what we've learned is with all these stories, whether they really, really happened, whether they really saw it or the person just believes they saw it, the effect is exactly the same. They're traumatized.
Wade Shoemaker:It's their reality.
Kyle EP:It's their reality.
Cam EP:Yeah. And
Kyle EP:so that's why when... And perspective is like, we never tell somebody who has a story like, man, you're a liar. Yeah. Like, I don't know
Cam EP:Yeah. What you saw, but it definitely affects them. I wasn't there. Not like we weren't there to witness it either. So, yeah, it definitely has an effect on
Kyle EP:them. Pretty cool.
Cam EP:Speaking of having an effect
Kyle EP:Uh-oh. That Jersey Mike sandwich he ate is having
Cam EP:an Yeah. Good one. Yeah. I thought of another one that Daryl had told. Okay.
Cam EP:Again in East Texas. Again in East Texas. I'd forgotten about this. A guy and his... One of Daryl's buddies and this guy's dad went on a...
Cam EP:Was fishing there in East Texas early one morning, like, flipping and pitching up against the bank on some lake, and he said he was in the back, this this guy that was Daryl's friend, and then the friend's dad was in the front of the boat staring at, flipping and pitching up in there. And he said he was doing something with his little headlamp on. He's like, it's not dark, but it's... The sun's coming up enough that you can make out the figures and everything on the side, but he was like, it's early. He's like, so I'm over there monkeying around trying to get this stuff done, and I hear splashing in the water.
Cam EP:And my dad goes, what? And he said, I turned to look like something big moves. He goes, I'm expected it to be pigs. Like, you know, just cruising around with the with the the dang trolling motor. Like, they don't know we're here.
Cam EP:And he's... You know, we're just right off the bank. He said when he turned around, his dad's standing on the front of the boat looking and 50 foot from the boat to the... You know, there's probably 30 foot of water, and then it's just a little bit of bank and a tree. He said he looks up and something big and black slips behind this tree and then leans out and starts taking a look at him.
Cam EP:And he... He's like, could you just... Yeah. He... That's what he said.
Cam EP:He goes, it just leans
Lake Pickle:way up. Put the boat in reverse. Put the boat in reverse.
Cam EP:He wants
Kyle EP:to know what lure you were
Cam EP:using. That's all he's asking. He... And so this little boy's like, what's going on? He's looking at his dad, and he's like, dad dad don't say nothing.
Cam EP:He just watch it. He said, this goes on as... They never broke stride. He's like, they didn't stop. We're just cruising along, pitching.
Cam EP:He said, they both watch it. He goes, I'm froze. He goes, dad just starts pitching. Like, nothing happened. He just watches this whole thing.
Cam EP:He gets back around there like that, and he said, we're we're ten minutes away from just... Ten minutes have gone by. He said, dad just reels up and goes, well, that's about enough for today. What's up in the boat? And he said the whole time, he goes, I've not even cast.
Cam EP:I'm still just sitting there like, what was what was that? He said, dad ain't said a word. He's like, that's about enough. And he said he reels it up, starts the boat. He's like, I put my stuff up.
Cam EP:We go and take it up. We've been on the water. He's like, forty five minutes. He goes up. We put the boat on.
Cam EP:He goes, dad, don't say nothing for a while. He goes, we... On the way home, he's like, what was that? He goes, son, all I know is we turned the corner, made it right there. He said, I heard something splashing in the water.
Cam EP:I made a cast, and it looked up. And as it stood up, it just kept standing up. It just kept going.
Lake Pickle:It just kept standing up.
Cam EP:He was like, what what is this? And he said, it looked more scared when it saw us that you could see it on its face. It was like, oh, like it's been caught.
Lake Pickle:Mhmm.
Cam EP:Mhmm. And then it just jukes back in behind the the brush. And that's when he was like... He goes, I don't know what it is, but I know what it is, but I'm gonna tell everybody it was a bear. And he just...
Cam EP:That was all the dads. I'm not even going down this road. Mhmm. And that was it. Getting the truck, left.
Cam EP:But there are so many stories. East Texas is notorious for them. But, yeah, there's so many stories of dudes hunting out there, and then, again, that's where we talked about the orbs Yeah. And all that. There's...
Cam EP:Yeah. So there's so many things out there that when we go into the woods, we just take for granted all the stuff. Even if it's not something creepy, you're gonna hear... Or like a legit monster, you're gonna hear creepy things. Like, you recorded the whole deal.
Cam EP:So, like, it's just fun. If you're into the outdoors, you gotta be into the the creepy scary stuff. Speaking of that, I hope you all have been into the creepy scary stuff. Hope you've enjoyed all of this that we've done for you. And, hey, you never know.
Cam EP:We might slip back up in here and do some more creepy stories later on. I just wanna take the time to thank everybody for tuning in, for everybody for joining us here. We get to do it all different kinds. We got different guys coming and going. We get to hang out with the dudes.
