What is How Are Ya Now??

How Are Ya Now? - The toughest podcast in Letterkenny
Possibly the perfect podcast to please your palate while peacefully pausing to pour a pint of Puppers and partake in puns, pugilism, and provincial pride.

What the actual fuck is going on here.

Oh, hey, look at you friends.

Welcome to How Are You Now?

The podcast where we
talk about everything.

Letter Kenny, related from Shorey
Chirps, McMurray's Questionable Behavior.

We're the toughest
podcast in letter Kenny.

And we're here to talk about everything
that makes this show a cult classic.

So grab a puppers, get ready
for some Hicks skids, hockey

players, and Glen Tiar.

How are you now?

Couldn't you?

Are you sure about that?

No.

So that's been going on with you, babe.

I'm working again.

Yay.

It's weird and I'm exhausted every day.

And.

Last weekend I only had one day off,
and this weekend has felt like that

too, because, oh yeah, grad school.

Fuck, what the hell was I thinking?

Well, I hope you've learned your lesson.

Ugh.

Yeah.

Oh man.

So, uh, let's see.

I, I've, I've gotten an, I got another
couple of, uh, voice voiceover things,

uh, which I've done, which has been cool.

Um, and, um, What else?

And

only one guy has tried to
steal your voice for ai.

Well, yeah.

I don't know.

Well, one that you know about.

Well, I, but I put that in, uh, in my
requirements they have to answer that.

You will not be using my voice for AI
or any of that smart kind of stuff.

So, and they, their answer either has to
be, I agree, I will not do that, or no,

I will look for another voiceover actor.

Smart.

So I like that.

Yeah.

Um, but yeah, uh, again, um,
we have a new phone number.

Mm-hmm.

Uh, (503) 487-2789.

Uh, and, um, fit Party.

Yeah.

50 foot party, you know,
to get your Fitz Bow.

So, Uh, and we've got a, another, uh,
running that, running the promo through

the end of the end of the season.

So, uh, let's play this real quick.

Sunday's

at 3:00 AM it's the fuss
with Hank and Jess on letter.

Kenny's zone 97.1 C G N U.

Good.

New radio.

We're not so bad.

You know, I was just thinking, yeah.

Do we know?

Is that.

Eastern standard or Pacific, like,
I'm not gonna be up at 3:00 AM no

matter what, but like now I need to
figure out like, what is that gonna

be, you know, I, they, I don't know.

It's prob you should ask.

It's probably Eastern, I don't know.

Um, oh, letter Kenny.

Yeah, yeah.

Letter.

That makes sense.

Say letter Kenny.

So yeah, sure.

Um, but uh, back again with,
uh, with an old friend.

Ladies and gentlemen, those beyond
the binary, it's time for the

season finale of How are You now?

And we have a very special
guest joining us today.

He's a podcaster, lit letter
Kenny enthusiast and all around.

Great guy.

This season has been full of ups and
downs, so we couldn't think of anyone

better to help break us all, break it
all down than our very good friend.

So sit back, grab a puppers, kick
your feet up on the O Koya end table

and get ready to share some insights.

And last with our good buddy Al Grego.

Al, how are you now?

Good.

You?

Oh, not so bad.

Uh, it's good to have
you back on my friend.

Good to be back.

Thank you for having us.

Yeah.

And, and I, and I think the reason Tiara
was asking that question about what time

zone they're in is I, I understand you're
supposed to be going on the fus Yeah.

Over CG N U apparently.

Yeah.

I'm not sure, um, exactly what they're,
you know, I think I'm gonna be doing some

music stuff with them, so I'm not Oh, very

cool.

Yeah.

That's awesome.

Um, so yeah, I'm looking forward to that.

And you know, the other thing
I'm looking forward to is

our upcoming, uh, table read.

Yes.

That'll be fun.

So yeah, looking forward to that.

We, uh, we don't fight at weddings, one of
one of the greatest episodes of all time,

so

tennis, a red

dress,

What am I trying to get
skinny with this clear liquor?

Um, oh, we've already, uh, already
got a comment from Adrian, can't

stay, but wanted to say how
wonderful it is to have y'all back.

More importantly, glad you're both
in a spot where you're healthy

and up for bringing us to your
insight and love the universe.

So yeah, thank you very much
Adrian, and uh, it's great to,

it's great to be back and, uh, and
hang out with our friends here.

So.

Hey, Jen's a good guy.

He is a really good guy.

He is.

Oh yeah, he is.

Um, so quick question.

Overall, uh, just overall season 11, what
was your, what was your thoughts on that,

just kind of briefly before we get into

it?

Yeah, I mean, if you go by
our rating system, I believe

I gave it a low fresh, A low?

Yeah.

Okay.

Maybe hot clearance, low fresh.

It was, it was kind of,
you know, it was teetering.

It was, it was nice.

It was a good, uh, good season.

But, um, yeah.

Yeah.

You know, there's some things that left
me a little lacking, but, uh, yeah.

Yeah.

I,

I don't disagree with that at all.

I mean, there were some that
were really good highlights

that I liked and, uh, yeah.

So, um, so what else have
you been up to there, Al?

Um, oh,

not much.

You know, I'm not busy at all.

Um, I

mean, I know you're doing, uh,
uh, your, your show, the, uh,

the Oh God, yes, we are open.

Um, how's that going for you?

So, I mean, I'm in, in the middle of
season four right now, which is, I

mean, it's when, when I'm in season
for that, uh, for that podcast,

I've got no time for anything else.

I'm, I was happy to be able to
join you guys tonight bec, but, uh,

otherwise I'm still, I'm working on
these like, around the clock, but,

uh, they, they've been a lot of fun.

It's been really gratifying getting
to travel, uh, you know, across

Canada and interviewing, you know,
people about their businesses and

telling their stories and stuff.

It's been really fun.

Like, I, I never thought I'd, I'd
get to do something like this,

so.

That's awesome.

Surreal.

Yeah.

It's so cool.

I, I mean, the traveling part
sounds like, sounds horrible, but

you just, you like to travel.

I like to travel, so I was like,
Ooh, this, that sounds fun.

Yeah, I, oh, I enjoy traveling and
it's, it's within my own country,

so you don't have to like, the, the
part I hate about traveling is like

customs and all that shit, right?

Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Getting on a plane and getting
off and walking out the airport

without worrying about customs.

Show me all papers.

Yeah, exactly.

Uh, anything else you're doing?

Um, uh, well, I

mean, yeah, that's the, and then,
you know, we're, we're working on

the produce stand and we're right
now off season, as you guys know.

That's always fun because Yeah.

Yeah.

Uh, there's no roadmap for this, right?

Yeah.

There are no, there are no
episodes to talk about, so we're

kind of adlibbing as we go, but
we're, we're having fun with it.

And, and our listeners
are, are he helping out?

Like last week we had, um, uh,
a couple of our listeners come

and, and kick out their, their
favorite tennis scenes, right.

So that's

Oh, I need to go back and

watch

off.

Yeah.

The top.

And he seen tennis is in
pretty much, yeah, exactly.

Oh, I know.

And then when we run outta that
stuff, there's some, some, uh,

kind of off let off universe stuff
that we're thinking about doing.

Like there's, that, there's a show, uh,
featuring, uh, Teo Horn and, um, uh,

Vanessa Matsui, she plays, um, the, uh,

bro, dude, uh oh yeah.

Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

The two of them have this, uh, uh,
YouTube series called Ghost bff.

So we're, we're, we're, we're
thinking about maybe, do, you know,

looking at that and kind of applying
what we do to letter Kenny mm-hmm.

To that show.

Yeah.

See how to, cause it's, it's, it's fun.

Uh, I've, I've already, I watched
the first season and it's, it's

different, but, but kind of neat.

And, uh, it features two of our favorite

character, so why not totally.

Yeah, get after it.

So, um, so let's get into the,
uh, the recap of season 11.

Uh, our first episode chips, uh, where
we had our, uh, first time guest,

Aaron, uh, to kick off Season 11.

Uh, there was lots of discussions
of chips and fifth though, and

lots of tropes, plenty of fun.

Uh, I think I can, I speak
probably for both of us that

we really enjoyed this episode.

Had a blast with our longtime
friend, first time guest.

Yes, Aaron, uh, really enjoyed the tropes,
uh, dissected in the up in the episode.

Um, I did have, uh, one observation
about Glen's exercise regimen, but I did

have one observation that I wanted to
bring up was the amount of weight that

they were putting on the bar for Glen.

Equaled about 405 pounds.

Right, right.

There's no way.

Right.

There's no way.

I mean, yeah.

Watching them struggle to put
the, put the, you're right.

That's, it's, I haven't written down.

Yeah.

He had four plates on either side.

Um, plus the bar itself,
plus the bar itself.

So, and that's, so that's 45.

Five close times,

times a lot.

8, 9, 8.

Yeah.

Nine.

Yeah.

Four, five.

Yeah, because you're eight and then
nine, the bars, the bar is 45 as well.

Mm-hmm.

So, yeah.

So that's, that's, that's what I've got.

If that bench weren't perfectly balanced,
it would've like, fallen on to Oh, yeah.

Like the Flinstones mobile, when
they put the big rack of ribs on it.

Yeah.

It

would've, would've done.

Yeah.

You totally gotta, you gotta, it was
good that Dax and Ron were there putting

'em on at the same time, so, yeah.

I wonder how, I have seen
a number of guys do that.

I wonder how many times they had
to shoot that so that it didn't.

Topple over.

Like, they had to be very precise
about getting it on the same time.

I'm, I'm sure there were instruction.

I mean, cause they were, they
were in a gym, so there had to be

somebody there, you know, being,
uh, the safety person hopefully.

Um, so the cool thing, cool
thing about this episode, about

those scenes in particular.

Yeah.

So one of our listeners, uh, Tobias,
uh, actually had a, a one for a Sudbury

trip, a few last month I believe.

And he, and he, he came on
and talked all about it.

He met up with the
owners of that gym as an

apparent, called the basement.

Really?

There or, yeah, basement.

Yeah.

He went pizza, music.

He really wanted to go to the basement.

So he did, he met up with the owners
and chatted with them apparently.

One or both of them or whatever
are the two guys working out

behind in all those scenes.

Nice.

Yeah.

Yeah, that's, yeah.

Yeah.

Cause that was definitely an observation.

Oh yeah.

So, uh, but then, you know, the chips, uh,
up, uh, portion of, uh, you know, Aaron

Love, uh, rolleds greatest desire, rolled
really loved and wanted it to be called

regular old letter to me.

Yes.

I wrote that to like,

I was like, I know what to write in his

birthday card.

Yes.

If I ever had, and then, and of course
kids is a, of course, Katie, Katie with

her hating of everything is any who.

Yeah.

Katie's never really been nice to roll.

No.

Except she's been never been nice
to really anybody except for Wayne.

And she's That's true.

She's just gr she's grumpy all the time.

Is it because she's not,
Having the sex with, right?

Yeah.

She doesn't have two boyfriends anymore.

Yeah.

Actually we haven't seen her with
a regular boyfriend since that one.

Yeah.

So.

Oh, Katie.

Katie needs, Katie needs to fall in love.

Yeah.

Yes, she does.

Next season maybe.

She definitely needs to get laid.

That's

well, yeah.

Um, I think there was only one scene
in this se in this season that she

even was like, interested in something.

I wonder

if he liked Sex with Girls.

Yeah, that would be great.

Great one.

Is somebody there?

I don't know.

And I wonder if he likes Sex with Women.

Um, I always, I mean, because
he was such a fun character,

uh, the doctor from last season.

Yeah.

I think it'd be great if he came
back and maybe became like a

Katie Love interest or something.

That would be an interesting, I agree.

Might be too goofy for her,
but, uh, I think it'd still be a

fun, or maybe Dr.

McDavid.

Yeah.

Oh, which one though?

Right?

Senior?

Yeah.

Or

senior.

Oh, dad or grandpa?

All three of them.

There is one thing though, because
we were saying that like she's

never really nice to anybody.

She is nice to the other
women for the most part.

Yeah.

Um, yeah, Rosie definitely Rosie and
like, even Tannis, like, she doesn't

quite get, she's not on the same level
that Rosie and Tans are on, but like,

when she understands what's being
asked for, she's like, oh yeah, you

know, he's, you know, he's building
some furniture for me or whatever.

Um, later in the, another episode.

But, uh,

and she's got a secret
handshake with Gail, so we

know that they go back.

You got smack on the ass.

A smack on the ass between
her and Rosie constantly.

Just, I love that.

Yep.

I love it.

But, um, but yeah, our, our
fuck fight feta winner for this.

Uh, he, he was the only one,
uh, was Ron, um, right, right.

He was the consensus winner
in this because all kinds

of gay straight up the air.

Um, yep.

So what we talk

about here, what are we even talk,

so who would, what are even doing,
who, who, who would've been your fuck

fight fur winner for this uh, episode?

Oh

man.

Um, I mean, I'm partial to,
I'm partial to, well, no, it's

Bonnie, it's Bonnie fucking Inly

all dressed.

Oh, yeah.

What the fuck?

Nah, I, I agree with that.

I mean, I was, I, she was
definitely on my list.

I mean, um, but yeah, totally.

I agree.

Mm-hmm.

Um, anything else you want to talk
about on this one before we move to.

Uh, just that all dressed
chips are the best.

Oh, agree.

Almost brought my, I cuz I, I They
don't sell 'em here in Oregon.

Yeah, they sold them in Washington.

Mm-hmm.

Okay.

They don't sell, so I had
to order 'em from Amazon.

I actually

think, I mean, like we're I, I work in
another state, like I one of these days

you have to actually come and pick me up.

Should go to qfc, see if we can do it.

Yeah, there you go.

So I only worked, although 10 minutes
away, but it's in Washington, so

I only knew the ruffles ones until
I like watching this episode.

I tried the Dutch, I, I don't,
I gotta say they're really good.

They're, I mean, I thought maybe I
would miss it being crinkled, but No,

they're, they're really good.

Hmm.

I'll have to order some of
those as well because I, those

I don't think I've seen down.

No.

No.

Uh, recently on recommendation from
one of our listeners tried a masala

chip for the first time and they were

really good too.

Yeah.

I like spice.

I do like masala.

I do too.

Yeah.

Yeah, they were

really good.

I was surprised.

Mm-hmm.

There you, that's my chip

contribution.

Give them what was your, what
would be, what would've been

your favorite chip for that?

Was it, I mean, what you agree with
everybody else about all dress, but Yeah.

Out of the two, out of the two,
uh, recipe or two spice ones,

which one were you there on?

Which one are you more lean on?

Um, it's weird because I, I like,
I like ketchup and I like barbecue,

but only in certain quantities.

After a while I get kind of sick of them.

Um, you want some dean?

Oh God, no.

You don't want ketchup chips?

I've had ketchup chip.

Okay.

They were god awful.

Yeah.

So

I'd have to probably say
dil pickles, I think.

I think I like dil pickers.

I haven't had any of those, but I
would definitely, I, I liked, I like

pickles, uh, and I like chips, so.

Sure.

Throw 'em together.

I'm good for that.

Yeah.

Um.

Next episode, uh, episode two o
Koya, um, an Agatha Christie murder

mystery, murder mystery, uh, and
taking the piss outta Late Deliveries,

uh, tans is the bestie we all need.

Uh, another longtime friend Casey, uh,
joined us for her first time on the show.

Uh, had so much fun laughing and hanging
out that I I I have few, just few

memories of this show itself for that
one, cuz we just loved hanging out.

Um, so yeah, as, uh, we start
with, uh, uh, due to the issue that

we had with Hiccups, uh, Casey.

Oh, we got into a little discussion
on how, how to handle those.

I tickled

the roof of my tongue.

That's the top of my tick pate.

I tickled the top of my
palate with my tongue.

Say that totally.

Please stop it.

I tickle the roof of my mouth
with my tongue Like this.

Like just, just behind your teeth.

It can.

Have you ever tickled that spot?

Mm-hmm.

Usually try it right now.

Everybody's doing out.

Take your tongue and just
tickled that Richie part.

No.

Behind your, behind your teeth.

Allen knew

how to do it.

Do it out gently

and slow.

Like fourplay, like I
tickles a little bit, right?

Yeah.

Not me, but, so if you go further back
behind your pallet, you'll, it'll,

it's like a V that opens up and if
you like stroke that it's supposed to.

So you

gotta stroke.

Your brain is like making
everything dys with your tongue.

Yes,

we know this.

They're your hiccups.

Of course.

It's how Casey slowly

with your tongue.

What, that's what you're

saying.

What fuck is wrong with.

Yes.

You have to give yourself oral.

Yes.

That's, yeah.

Orally, orally, orally.

Oral.

You have to orally my back.

This is so meta.

It's meta oral.

Any good.

Uh, you just have to No, you have no Erin.

No, no.

It's gotta be dental or
else you'll hurt yourself.

You'll hurt your tongue.

I love Casey so

much.

Oh God.

She's going to love
that you used that clip.

Oh my God.

And

Erin says, Ms.

Vicky's all dressed are delicious.

So thank you.

Thanks Erin.

And you just happen to get
mentioned in that portion.

I hope you've learned to
be gentle with your talk.

You.

I mean, yeah.

Casey's awesome.

Casey, she, she's, uh, she's
the leader of our takeover crew.

She's been on our
podcast a bunch of times.

Actually.

She's, uh, she's the
one interviewing us now.

Nope.

Oh, hello.

Okay.

And she's turned the mic around and
she's interviewed myself and now Matt,

her and Matt had an interview
for four 20 last week.

Oh,

nice.

It's something to listen to.

So she's slowly going through
each one of us, uh, to, uh, yeah.

To interview.

Um, yeah, I mean, OK.

Koya, like it is what it is.

It's, it was, it was, uh, Stewart,
you know, chewing up scenes.

Mm-hmm.

Which were fun.

Uh, coach is hilarious in this one.

Who, um, the OK Koya scene itself?

You know, when we were talking
about it on ours, I wasn't a fan

of the way Wayne and Squirrly dance
are kind of kidding those guys.

Whatever.

Uh, it is what it is.

I love the stud finder bit though.

Yeah.

I mean, yeah.

Everyone's got a stud jump you over here.

I'll break her right off.

Yeah.

But, uh, yeah, it was, it was fine.

Like this one was fine.

Yeah.

Um, yeah, we, uh, we also got another,
uh, quick side John, uh, into a very

interesting and hilarious incident that
happened with Casey while in Sudbury.

All

right.

So, potato, oh fuck.

Hang on.

What are we what?

Potato.

Oh.

Love you.

I

know, I

love me too.

And, and it's a great moment.

Yep.

So this, so what happened was, um, how
happened was we were, we were in Sudbury

and we were living our Shorey dreams.

Uh, a few, me and a few of, uh, uh,
friends from the, is that fragrance

Shorey game from the universe.

The universe from,
yeah, from the universe.

Um, and we, we went up to Sudbury.

We went to a Sudbury Wolves game, which is
in the same barn where they film Shorey.

Mm-hmm.

Um, while we're in the, the, the hall,
um, where a lot of the shorey scenes

are shot with Laura Moore and all of
those folks, um, Max Bfad who plays jj?

Frankie.

JJ is walking by.

Oh.

And up until, and up until
that point I'd been fantasizing

about like chirping at him.

But like, you know, like just fucking
yelling some shorty shit at him.

But I didn't wanna call him a fucking
pizza face or like, you know, shorty

says some really like nasty shit to him.

So like, wait, wait, Dean.

So, so I'm going through
it on the way to the barn.

I'm like, I don't know
what to say to this guy.

And the moment happens, right?

And he's walking by and I'm like, And
he's getting further and further away,

like to the point where he doesn't hear
me when I finally yell at the top of my

lungs potato like, do you find potato?

Everyone is looking at me like, what?

I imagine, I think, I think the
guy who was walking with Max, who

might be one of the high school
hockey players, maybe turned his

head and then kept, and they just.

JJ, max never heard a word.

Like Joey, my friend Joey
was standing next to me.

Adrian was there, and everybody's there.

And now we're all like dead.

We're all falling out, pissing ourselves
because I just, people must be going, what

the fuck people and what is wrong with,
with that bitch American are all potato.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Like fall down.

Yeah.

Yeah, yeah.

And I should be fair, I was
high at the time, of course.

Um, because it's Canada,
because you, as you should be.

Yes.

But yes.

So that's, so now whenever
you see potato, all right.

Potato.

That's

what that is.

Very

good.

Oh, so thank you very much
Adrian, for bringing that up.

I love Adrian.

Likes to potato.

Adrian likes to pop in here every
now and again and give some comments.

And so yeah, that's always fun.

Again, I love Casey.

She's great.

She's pretty

potato.

Potato.

Um, uh, fuck fight Feta.

Tans was the closest to a full score.

She got two, but, uh, Stewart
was definitely getting his

ass kicked this episode.

Mm-hmm.

Al you have any other
thoughts on, on Okya?

Yeah.

No.

I mean, tennis all the way for sure.

Yeah.

Um, I think there's a, you know, this one
here was, there, there was really apparent

some of the restrictions when they were
shooting th these two seasons together,

back still kind of during the pandemic.

Yeah.

Especially in, in that church scene.

They were paired off.

Yeah.

Two by two.

Uh, you know, and, and it was
just kind of strange to see Tana's

up sitting, be sitting mm-hmm.

Beside, uh, Glen, right up on the altar.

Like, why is she sitting?

It's just, you know, all,
there's a lot of things nasty.

But yeah.

I don't know.

It was just kind of strange.

But, uh, I mean, they did the
best with what they had, I think.

And, and, uh, I, I, I enjoyed the
whole Agatha Christy, all the, the

black and white scenery and stuff.

Mm-hmm.

There's a lot of scene chewing
happening there and a lot of different

things that we haven't, we're not
used to seeing in letter Kenny, uh,

a lot of quick zoom ins and stuff.

Yeah.

What I, what I really enjoyed was every
one of those, um, tropes that's, that

are brought up in the cold open Yep.

Get used throughout the, the episode

and now here.

Cool.

Yeah.

Um, and yeah.

And that's one of the things I've been
about all season is all the tropes.

All the tropes hitting on by the numbers.

Yeah.

Um, but yeah.

Uh, Yeah, the, the, uh,
the Zooms, um, mm-hmm.

That's has been, they were all great.

Um, especially one that's coming up soon.

But

for me, you know, it it, the way that Gail
and Coach were interacting, talking about

the different sex positions like that,
I, I fully ended that episode going, like

those two totally hooked up, didn't I?

Like Oh, yeah.

Because coach was very
interested and wonderful.

Well,

well, not the first time.

Remember there was a time where, uh,
coach was at the bar and she asked

him to dance, and she put his hand on
her butt and, you know, and, uh, yeah.

You know, you know, that went, yeah.

Further.

Of course, of course.

I mean, yeah, because it's good Coach.

Coach is, coach is not gonna say no,
and Gail is always gonna say yes,

um, unless she uses her safe word.

Um, do

you remember what it is?

Say that one more time.

Yeah.

All right then, uh,
scene, uh, scene three.

It's not episode three.

Uh, lost Dog.

Uh, if, if there's anything, if there's
anything we, if there's anything

we've learned during all the seasons
of letter Kenny taking care of your

dogs, not giving them human names
and being on time tops the list.

Mm-hmm.

So, uh, it was fun.

Uh, you had another long time
friend having their first

time on the show Trust web.

Uh, we had loads of fun.

Um, I brought up a question about, uh,
how Tiara and Truss would've handled a

asking Tiara Andwe, how they would've
handled the April May situation.

I have a, I have a question that, um, That
I would like both of your opinions on.

Uh oh.

Um, so, uh, Cassie and Tassie Jrs, uh,
I, I'll call 'em, uh, April and May.

Um, how would you have handled that if it
was you and Riley and Jonesy's situation?

I wouldn't have still been

there when they showed up.

Well, I mean, you didn't
know they were gonna show up.

Oh, you mean when they
showed up to the gym?

Wouldn't have waited for them.

The boys were there all afternoon
waiting for their date and talking

about getting stood up because
they had been there waiting.

I would not have waited

that long.

Oh, okay.

But let's say you had waited and,
and you told the whole explanation

like Riley and Jonesie did.

Mm-hmm.

How would you handle it once
they showed up to the game?

I'd have a scrap.

A scrap.

I'd have a

scrap that's a Derby scrap on site.

I would.

Channel my displeasure into my game.

See?

Yeah.

My, my thought on it was that, you know,
I would've told sh Schork that, um,

that these, these are just some really
strange chicks and they're, they've

been hounding 'em all the time, so
just go chirp at 'em the entire time.

Be as vulgar as possible.

I feel like,

like Surey would've
just flirted with them.

Like, I don't see him doing that.

You don't see him.

I know.

May, maybe the other guy, it's more
fun for him to chirp at the boys

than it is to chirp at pretty girls.

Yeah,

I mean, I mean, I would pre, I would've
pretended I don't care and just say,

these, these chicks are weird and I
mean, go chirp at 'em if you want to.

They'd probably like
some really weird stuff.

I would go with that if you're gonna try.

Right.

I would, I mean, I'd probably
just tell one of the other

guys, you know, when they start
chirping me about it going, I

got no idea.

It's all yours.

Go ahead.

The guest.

Get after it.

Yeah, get after it.

Be as disgusting as possible.

I don't think that Riley and
Jonesie have thick enough skin to

just let it roll off their back.

No.

There's no way that they could just
like, they're sensitive boys, ignore it.

Yeah.

Um, Al do you have any thoughts on that?

What, how would you have
handled that situation?

Um,

I, I, I'm gonna tell you the truth,
I would've blown off Beer league

and that's what they ended up doing.

Yep.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And they didn't get the girls.

No.

I mean, uh, so in the end they, they,
they, they lost out on both there.

Um, really cool thing
about the cold open here.

Mm-hmm.

That hockey menu.

Yes.

Uh, you know, probably lost on a lot
of people who aren't hockey fans.

Yeah.

Obviously it's Victor's
favorite cold open ever.

In Hi.

In the two minutes or however long that
scene was, I, I actually counted this

morning when I went, when I watched
this, the, the, uh, the season in

preparation for today, 78 hockey puns.

Wow.

Now that's a minimum.

There was probably more that I missed,
but there were at least 78 Wow.

Hockey puns in that.

Yeah.

There were probably
some that were combined.

Mm-hmm.

Plus, uh, so there's that, um, you know,
lot, you know, lots to chew on there.

Uh, yeah.

I mean, and return to the Dicks Love,
love that, love seeing that, you know,

dogs are only good for two things
for, uh, in the men night community.

Twerk and tweet, twerk.

Uh, tweet.

Yeah.

We do have a dog that

twerks.

We do, we do have a dog that
twerks especially, and they almost

called Winter Coat is trying to get

out of her.

Yeah.

And they all almost
called Gregory Monster.

Dick in Penn.

Dick.

Yes.

And s t d, uh, Sarah Dick, I
think it was supposed to be.

Anyway.

Yeah, this one here was, was a
really, this is a strong episode.

I, I, I enjoyed this one quite

a bit.

Yeah.

And, uh, dress had some
thoughts on that as well.

Payne took a serious
backseat on this episode.

Mm-hmm.

I mean, he was there Yeah.

As some, maybe some sort of

anchor, but, uh, you know, the front
section, you know, it was basically,

uh, Glenn and everybody else doing it.

And then there was that

Glen and Rosie.

Yeah.

Glen and Rosie.

And Gwen and Rosie threw out the
beautiful, beautifully edited mm-hmm.

Beautifully filmed tracking shot.

Mm-hmm.

Of them walking.

Yeah.

Which, so

cool.

And even then, you know, Wayne's
just sort of in the background,

he'll throw a, a one-liner in here

and there, but he absolutely was a
secondary character in this episode.

Right.

And yeah.

You know, and

Glen, and more to the point, you
know, Rosie, this was really like,

Rosie front and center on an episode,
not just, I absolutely love that.

Oh, yeah.

I mean,

because it's,

it's

all about building this

community Yeah.

Of characters that they can draw from.

And in the end, well, you just

put the camera on, uh, what, you
know, Jonathan Torrance and Sarah

Wayne Callon, like, get out their

way, can

confirm.

Oh, yeah.

Mm-hmm.

So as fuck, fight further went,
uh, Rosie was the clear winner in

this one, April, may, and Shorey
all better run, um, because they're

all, they're, we're gunning for 'em.

Uh, so Al now how about you?

Yeah, Rosie, I'm a big fan of Rosie.

I, I really enjoyed
also how squirrely Dan.

They put, they stuck him with
the, with the skids and, yeah.

Yeah.

And that was a lot of fun to watch.

Uh, him, his discomfort
being with the skid.

That was, I thought
your last name was Dan.

That's

what you think My first
name was Squirrly, but

then he answered his phone.

Squirrly Dan's phone, squirrly Dan
speaking and never says anything.

Yeah.

And Anita Dick, I mean.

Oh, yes.

Yeah, Anita.

She was, she was definitely on my list.

She's always on my list.

Tans Anita, Dick.

I think there was one time I
did wanna fight Tans, but I, I

don't remember when that was.

That was, I think

that was the, uh, casual misogyny.

Mm-hmm.

When they were actually trying to date.

Yeah, that was me

too.

Like the old

college try where she was
making fun of him for the way

he was sitting, crossing legs.

Legs, yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Like I, that's, that's definitely
the one where I was like, mm-hmm.

No, we, the fight.

You got any extra insight on this out?

Did

you want to bring up?

No, that's just, that's it.

Um, sts I mean, did you guys know?

I, I since, but I can't
remember whether you knew what

s sts meant.

I, my thought on it was,
I mean, in context it just

seemed like how hot they were.

Yeah.

So s Steeze, I looked it up.

Yeah.

That's, uh, style at ease.

So basically how people, you know,
people's styles when, when it looks

like they're not trying, but they're
actually trying secretly, but they're

dressing like they're not, ah, s steeze.

All right.

Then style at ease, like kids

these days with their.

Thanks.

Uh, then we get into episode four, nudes.

Uh, whether it's, uh, handling someone
else's nudes or dealing with someone

else's, dealing someone else's drugs,
full understandings must be hat.

Uh, it was great having our resident
joint Boy slash Chevy Chase back on

the show to get, uh, get completely
rude and crude as we talk about nudes.

Uh, and that was, and Renate and Carac,
if he didn't know I was talking about, um,

I know that Wayne doesn't have nudes on
his phone, but I had some questions about

what he might have us on, on his phone.

And I'm just thinking Wayne has,
let's see, uh, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

He has, Wayne has five
pictures on his phone.

He's got, he's got Rosie,
Katie, Dan, and dairy.

No.

Yeah, Rosie, Katie.

Dan Dairy, stormy and Gus, Dan, and Dairy
are one in, one picture, one picture.

Those are the five pictures
Dwayne has on his phone.

I bet though I, in my head, I'm,
I'm just imagining that he's got a

whole like, screenshot thing of, of
like the way that he does have these

special interests of his pocket.

People like Bondar?

No, like Bondar.

Like I bet he has like a whole
like, screenshot folder full of

like bondar facts and pictures
or something, you know, like, I

don't think it's one picture story.

I think it's 5,000 pictures of
all of the dogs on the farm.

This guy was about

to say, I'm gonna get weird with it.

I'm gonna say he's probably got a
bunch of like, like an uncomfortable

amount of number of pictures of
like, perfectly stacked bales and

I forgot about that.

Yeah.

Like, just like, you know what I mean?

Like, it's like, you
know, like, Satisfaction

to, he's so proud of it.

Hell yeah.

Just like,

and he's just like,

he's got video that's, you watch his
Instagram, he's got videos of him

stacking hay, perfectly Barley watches

videos of like people doing farm

porn.

People

just shoveling fucking pig pens.

People just fucking stacking
gals and bales ch.com.

Oh yeah.

Uh, I don't disagree with

that.

My, yeah, my attitude is
not changed about that.

Although I, I do think, um, now
that I'm like re-listening to that,

there was, um, the scene where, It
was in Influenzas, the scene where

they, they go to the Dick's farm and
like, what the fuck are you doing?

Like, I feel like maybe now Wayne looked
at him like, I would've watched that.

Like what is there, is there
something wrong with that?

Yeah.

Um, and then, uh, Tiara had
a query about Gail's nude.

Oh.

Do you think Gail sent
dairy the nude after?

Because he's just complaining
of not being able to see it.

If she remembered, I think she would.

I think she definitely would.

Yes.

The answer is yes.

Yes.

She, yes she did.

This house is clean.

Oh, the house.

It's clean.

Um, okay.

And then thank you

guys for getting that reference.

Uh, and because this episode, Jim
Dickens was both, both literally

and Figura, figuratively, head
and shoulders above the rest.

Mm-hmm.

Um, and impressed

Bonnie made, you know, oh, totally.

That that could be, you know, a
down the line thing that Yeah.

Cuz she was like, there's
men like that still.

Uh, I love that

part.

And the McMurrays are gonna be
catching hands, so, uh, so out,

uh, your fuck fight for a winner,
uh, or you have a, a fight as well.

Uh, and other thoughts you
may have on this episode.

Oh, the

McMurrays for sure.

Mc McMurray.

Fight onsite for, for
doing that to poor Dickens.

I mean, he was the only,
the was there for a hot up.

Come on.

Um, yeah.

Uh, kudos to the, for
the return of Alexander.

Yes.

Um, yes.

It was great to see him.

Uh, roll's performance in
this one is probably one of my

favorites in the entire letter.

Ken series of his character, the scene
where he's, um, in the basement and

he's trying to convince Stewart to,
to admit that cannabis is a drug.

Yep.

Yep.

And he's way, he's slithering
around Stewart while he's sitting

on the chair and whispering into
his ear and doing all that stuff.

Amazing physical acting, if any.

Uh, I highly recommend
people to take a second

watch.

I think what the thing we said about that
is he was like, uh, magenta or riff rap.

Yes.

From, uh, Rocky Horror.

Rocky Horror, yes.

Yeah.

He was so good in that.

Um, Rated for everyone.

Amazing.

E for everyone.

Amazing line.

And did you know that at Italian
have, uh, narrow urethra is,

I mean, I didn't know that.

Is is that a real

fact?

Is that true?

I just thought it was something that, you
know, Wayne said it so must been true bad

gas travels fast through it through Italy.

Um, yeah,

so, um, so yeah, those are
kind of my notes there.

Um, Ari being a drug dealer, that was
kind of disappointing, but, uh, he just

wants weed because then, uh, I don't
know if he was in this, uh, episode or

the, oh no, it was the next episode.

The hicks referred to
him as the Jewish skid.

Yeah.

That new Jewish skid.

I was like, well, I mean,
but he's a hockey player.

I don't know.

Just, it was weird that, that suddenly as
soon as anyone in town knows he's dealing

and Yeah.

As soon, well, yeah, well as soon
as you're, you're dealing, you're

a skid automatically, so Yeah.

Um, next one, episode five, influenzas,
uh, with, uh, let's see, enga, yeah.

Engagement Photographers and Influencers.

Invade Letter Kitty while Luciann and
Betty, and have to deal with Coach Okur,

uh, Okur, uh, uh, when you have a friend
who's not only a letter Kitty Pan, but is

also New York Times bestselling author,
you, you get them on your show, uh, for

some, uh, good laughs and Keen Insight.

And David Mack is not only awesome
guest, but he's a great writer as seen,

uh, with a few of our table reads.

So, yes.

Um, yeah.

Uh, as kinda like Stuart, I, uh,
I posited that, uh, as was stated

early on by Joint Boy, that Alexander
is not quite as portrayed Now.

The thing I wanted to bring up about
Alexander Yes, real quick was he's not a

slow slur, slow learning cousin that joint
boy had him pegged at in the first season.

So right.

He is obviously very smart.

So I just thought, thought, I mean,
he did some of the best cold opens.

I mean, remember the one, uh,
where he, he shows up and, and he's

talking about the, he has to put
together the buck and dough mm-hmm.

For his cousin.

Right.

Well, my cousin's a grmp and
his, uh, his Swedish suwat.

Yeah.

And remember when I said he's a
grown producer, tw the numbers

reflect that he does kinda get

some of the best runs.

He reflect flag.

He's very sharp.

He is.

He's on it.

So, I mean, he may not be in the best of
situations, uh, for himself, but, um, but

he's happy with, with what he does.

Definitely.

You know, he is, he is.

He

is more not, he ashamed
to make $10 an hour.

He toilets, he more, yeah.

He is more than content with
his lot in life, it seems.

Yeah.

So we can all be so lucky what you do.

You'll never work a daily life.

Precisely.

So I just, I, I do just wanna say
something that I did not say during that.

Um, there is a very real chance that he
was probably in special ed growing up,

and so he just had that label and nobody
really explored it any differently.

Hmm.

Um, that very much is in line with
somebody in what I'm guessing is

like, you know, late thirties,
early forties, like growing up.

At that time, he would've just
been, oh, that's slow learning fella

because they, he had trouble in
school, not that he wasn't smart.

Yeah.

Like, probably never even like
whatever IQ tests he did just went

on a piece of paper and they saw the
discrepancy between the IQ and what

he could do and just wrote it all up.

I

mean, I would say in episode
one, season one, episode one,

he was kind of written that way.

I'm guessing that they Yeah.

Have, uh, influenced that
character a bit more, but also he

was drunk True in that episode.

True, true.

So I don't think we've
seen Alexander drunk since

then.

Yeah.

Yeah, not so much.

Uh, Tiara also brought up a
few keen observations that

leads into a conversation
about Gail and the McMurray's.

So in, in the scene when Katie, uh,
goes to hit on that, that dude in the

bar, um, I love that he, like, she's
looking at him like thinking he's

cute, he's there, sit taking selfies,
like, you know, he's like doing it for

like Tinder or something like that.

Was what my first friend is his own brand.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yes.

Um,

getting high on his own supply coach

picked his nose several times
during this week episode.

Um, and he just doesn't care.

Right.

Uh, look away, Barb.

This is Rock McMurray and Gail flirting.

Do so.

Um, I mean, I know it wasn't like,
yeah, I know it wasn't outright,

but McMurray's face after Gail said,
you know, put a finger up her ass.

He, he was like, Ooh, I'm into it.

Like,

well, the thing is, we know

from,

uh, we know they've, they Yeah.

Episode we know they've hook up.

Hey, they've hooked up with her
before we know they've hooked up.

I really wanna know how often, like, I
wanna know if they're like, fuck buddies.

Um, like I just feel

like no ass play unless I ask for it.

Right.

And I, and I will ask for it.

My say where it is.

Yeah.

Even, uh, that's very memorable.

So, uh, fuck Fight Feta.

Katie, Maryanne and Anita Dick are
all getting some hot steamy loving,

uh, the McMurray's dairy and coach
Better hide, uh, cuz they got, yeah.

They're all catching it.

Um, al

Yeah.

Uh, Katie has the worst taste in men.

Yeah.

Generally speaking.

Yeah.

Yeah, she likes the self-absorbed type.

Yeah, for sure.

Like if you think about DS and the,
the influencer that she was looking

at, like, uh, I think it's easy models.

What, uh, Shep and Kingsley

or whatever.

I think it's because they're easy to drop.

I

guess.

I guess, yeah.

Well, um, and Dean, you actually
pointed out something today

when we did our rewatch that I
don't think we noticed before.

Yeah.

When she joined him at the
table, they took selfies or they

took a, he was taking selfies

with her.

Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Usy Sie.

Um, I'm too old to say that.

It sounds weird.

That's an

usy.

It's mental.

I

thought you were calling
her a hussy for a second

if she owns it.

Sure.

I mean, yeah.

I don't mind.

That's not necessarily
about, I don't mind.

Uh, my only other thing here, I
mean, it was, it was a fun episode.

Yeah.

Picks the charcuterie.

Yeah.

That's the summer soft, just waiting.

Yeah.

I love that scene.

So understated that I'm sure a
lot of people watched it cuz I

think I missed it the first time.

Well, right at the end, do I see like
when, when Katie leaves, they, they take

a bite of whatever they were holding.

Oh, were they waiting?

And then I rewound, I'm like, oh.

Oh, the whole time they
were like waiting to to,

to eat their wait.

Waiting for Katie to end.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Because the other thing on that one
was the, the, the zoom on Katie,

well, what are you gonna do now?

And they zoom in, compete, and
there's that big pregnant pause.

And Wayne goes, how?

How?

Yeah.

I mean, cuz right after that
you're expecting the montage.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Uh, compete.

And I believe in the, in the, well
not, I believe, I know in the d in the

nudes, uh, episode, they do that zoom
in when Rosie says vigilante justice.

Mm-hmm.

I've used it quite a bit in this season.

Yeah.

Yeah.

When they were going to each group,
um, and the, uh, in, with the, the,

uh, episode two oh koya where they,
you know, Glenn called and like they

look at the phones and they zoom in.

Yeah.

So yeah.

Quite, quite a few times this season.

Um, so who's, who's on your, uh,
your fuck fight further for this one?

Oh, I mean, fuck, you know what,
um, I, I really enjoyed Maryanne and

Lucianne the, that haw thing too.

And, and, and, uh, um, oh, Tessa Banham

and, oh, I forget the other Sam Joe

Small.

Yeah.

Sam Joe Small.

That was so fun.

And everyth, like Tessa could not let
it go without ever saying most silver.

Yeah.

Just, uh, hilarious.

Oh, I've

got a hu I I've got the
hugest crush on Tesson.

Good lord.

She's got the, she got the
little chin dimple too.

Yeah.

Scene was hilarious.

I love coach in that, so I give
him a, a fur for that alone.

Um, and fight, I mean,
uh, I felt so, oh, oh.

I felt so bad for that one guy.

The, the, the, the couple, the,
the third, the last couple that was

having, being photographed and he
was being asked to do all, you could

tell he, well, first of all, Mr.

Neck tattoo does not want to look cute.

Right.

Um, Mr.

Neck tattoo, who was wearing like
Birkenstocks and socks, but whatever.

Yeah.

When he looks over to the, the
Hicks and they just kind of

shake their heads, like they're

so disappointed.

And one of the things, one of the things I
noticed about him, he looked very similar

to one of the guys in Glen's porno Mag.

Mm-hmm.

Wh which I, I, cuz I first
noticed the guy in Porno Mag and

I said, he looks a bit like Tyson.

And then I said, this guy
looks a bit like Tyson.

So now I have to go back and
see, was it the same guy?

Did they like take his
picture and Photoshop him on?

Or maybe he is a gay porn actor.

I don't know, maybe.

Anyway,

ed to him, just because I felt for him,
fight all the photographers and, uh, fuck.

I mean, uh, I can't, I, I don't know.

I don't know who fucking this one,

but, uh, Katie got one from me.

Yeah.

I, I, so Katie was across the
board, which is, you know, for,

for tr that's very surprising.

True story.

Um, but yeah.

And then Anita Dick, of course.

Oh yeah.

So from there we go on to, uh, the Degens.

So, um, Jiv and Pete has reached the
end of Wayne's Rope while everyone

else is worried about being that guy.

Of course, no season of how are you now?

It could be complete with other VI visits
for a well known and highly regarded anti.

Awesome.

Um, I had a question about
this episode and Awesome.

Had to answer right there.

I know.

Uh, but yeah, why did the Hicks
not go to the birthday party?

I mean, I'm sure there are because

Wayne just did something he had been
trying to avoid doing the entire

episode, and he wasn't in the moody
mood to go to some Revel about it.

Good.

You don.

That's how we gotta pop up at that time.

I, uh, I, I get that
perspective, but I feel, I feel

disappointed that they didn't go.

Um, I mean that's because I
completely agree with Riley and Jones.

They've quite, a lot of

shit's happened.

They've quite often had
fights and ended up back at my

deans.

Yep.

It's about an issue.

It's, it happened often.

And, and this is not the first
time they've fought the Deit.

Mm-hmm.

No.

But this is the first time that
Wayne has had to give up on a

friend whom he was trying to help.

Okay.

Okay.

That's, that's a good thought.

All right.

You know, like Pete literally came with
his hat in his hand into his house, yeah.

Mm-hmm.

And asked him for help.

And Wayne did his best to help this guy
who was his friend, but, His friend was

just not willing to put the effort in.

So Wayne's got to deal with his
behavior, and it is his responsibility

now because he's the one who hired him.

Yeah.

Okay.

Yeah.

So yeah, that was, I thought that
was, that was an interesting take

that I didn't even considered.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I agreed.

And, and she brought that up
with us too, and I get it.

And I, I mean, and that did make
it, make that last scene make sense.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

I think where, where, I mean,
kind of maybe because of the

season felt kind of short Yeah.

Was in, on a show like this where, I
mean, it's, it's very much, you know,

lots of sketches and stuff and, and,
and some great character development.

But in, I didn't, I don't think
they developed that relationship

between Jive and Pete and the Hicks.

Enough Mm.

To make that last scene land Yeah.

The way they wanted it to.

Yeah.

You know what I mean?

Yeah.

Like, I get it cuz I've given up on
friends who acted exactly like j Pete did.

You, you helped them, you helped
'em, you helped them, but it

was, it's never their fault.

And in the end you just gotta cut ties.

Right.

Yeah.

You just gotta do that
and it feels like shit.

Yeah.

I get it.

I don't think they developed that
enough to earn the heavy ending

that they, they were looking for.

Right.

But that's my only kind of, you
know, uh, flaw in, in that episode.

Cause I thought it was
a beautiful episode.

Hmm.

Like some of the thoughts.

It was gorgeous and, and, uh,
I loved all the doc chirps.

I loved all the sunglass.

It was a very funny episode.

It was, and in the end you wanted,
I I was, I wanted it to land.

The way they intended it to, but it,
it, it just felt a little bit short

and, and yeah, going back and watching
it today, I did notice something that

I hadn't noticed before where they're
all sitting at the produce stand,

Dan is, he's like shaking his head.

Yeah.

And so, yeah.

That, which made it even more Yeah.

Understandable.

So, yes.

Uh, awesome.

Is completely right there.

Uh, I, you

know, they all, I think you're right
too though, Al it does feel like they

wanted it to be a heavy feeling and it
just gonna missed just a little bit.

Yeah.

Up until

now, the heavy stuff has landed so well.

Yeah.

And in every other, uh, season,
every other episode when they've

wanted it to, I think it's, they've,
they've succeeded in this one here.

And it, it might've just been, you know,
they, they picked up the whole Jed story,

like, Three episodes into this one, right?

If they maybe had started it a little
sooner, like if they were able to tie

it in a bit, like from episode one,
maybe like, yeah, we remember back

when they, when they, you know, back
in what season two or whatever, when

they're saying Jiv, Pete's a good guy.

He's a really good guy.

Like we, we remember that.

But that was a long time
ago now and forever.

He's been a degen since then, right?

Mm-hmm.

You know, I mean, Wayne even beat him up
for, for ca calling Katie, like, yeah,

they've already had these fights, right?

Uh, so to me, oh, you hadn't
given up, given up on him yet.

Okay.

So you need to earn that idea
because up until now I thought, oh,

you've already gi given up on him.

He's hanging out with the guy
with the three names, Oron,

Allister, or Westwood.

Yeah.

He's already hanging out with them,
Courtney, so he must, um, anyway,

uh, yeah, I think that was the only
thing, like, uh, they don't, they

seldom fall short with their heavy.

Scenes and I, I just thought
in this case they, they did.

Yeah.

Um, I mean, and the, one of the things
that I was wondering, um, I brought up

today is, and the answer is probably no,
but I was wondering if Pete was doing

that to get back at what Katie did to him.

Um, you know, if there was that, if
he had a bit of a long game plan.

But I mean, I don't really think
he, no, he thinks that way.

I

mean, I think, I think they were
trying to do that kind of arc of,

uh, you know, redemption for j
Jiv Pete, or failed redemption.

Mm-hmm.

But again, yeah, the whole Katie,
you know, kicked to the nu nuts like

nudes was too fresh in everyone's
mind, mind like that happened.

That season.

Right.

Or a couple of episodes before.

So again, how is he not a

degen?

If that's the reason, which is another
thing Dean brought up, if that's a

reason for j Pete to come to their door
and basically like, okay, yeah, I, I

can see that I am this shitty person.

Help me.

Mm-hmm.

Like, that's fine.

But it still didn't, there was not
enough in between that and the ending

for it to feel like he was trying and
then slowly giving up, which is what I

think they were trying to, uh, because
at the beginning he was like full in

like doing all the things sweeping up,
even like, you know, anytime when anyone

walked by helping Katie out with
the, with all the influences.

Yeah.

But

that,

like, if they had showed that like over
the course of a period of time instead

of the next episode, he's fucking up.

Yeah.

I think that that would've been,
that would've hit a little different.

Yeah, and I'm never, I'm never gonna
like, uh, uh, criticize a comedy for

missing on a, on a, a heavy scene, right?

Like if it's funny.

It's funny.

So whatever they tried, they
tried to go a little serious here.

That's fine.

But, uh, yeah, overall I, I
still gave the season afresh.

Yeah.

But yeah, that, that, that
felt a li felt a little short.

And I mean, I'll, I'll, I'll
rely on what Victor's often says.

If I had to have somebody explain it
to me, then it wasn't quite, it didn't

land the way it should have.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I mean, cuz I will say that
because there was some heavy

stuff in Shorey, which all landed.

Mm-hmm.

Uh, yeah.

I mean, there was no questions about it.

So, uh, we know they have the,
the capacity for that and I

mean, and it's happened bef Yeah.

Like you said, it's happened
before in letter Kenny.

So Yeah.

That's, so yeah, it's, uh, I think, yeah,
it definitely could have been done better.

Um, was it bad?

Not at all.

Um, so yeah, I had a lot of fun with that.

Um, one of the, uh, one of the
things also that I liked going

back and watching it today was the
synced up music during the fight.

Yes.

That's like one of my favorite

so, and a great song.

What

a fucking great song.

Yeah.

It's, I mean, it's, it's, it's not,
it's the antithesis of a fight song.

Mm-hmm.

But it's, yeah.

It's very, it's very poignant.

Yeah.

And that moon lid drive back in the
back of the pickup truck mm-hmm.

After the fight was beautiful.

Like, kudos to Billy Buttrey for that.

Yep.

Uh, and, and yeah, even just
the difference in seeing the,

the, the produce stand at

night in the dark.

Mm-hmm.

Uh, I mean, when I saw it I'm
like, this means something here.

And I j again, I didn't get it.

Yeah.

You know, until Awesome.

Explained it.

So Yeah.

Awesome.

Picks up on that shit.

Yeah.

I love that.

Uh, so one other thing, one other clip
from the episode, uh, Tiara spotted that

Wayne had some growth over the season.

I love it.

Um, uh, Wayne realizing
his joke wasn't funny.

That's right.

So good.

Harkins back to the, uh, Uh,

the, the, the Florida
seminal vesicles one.

Yes.

Florida State seminal
Les seminal vesicles.

But this time, instead of kind of
getting upset that they didn't laugh,

he was like, well, that one didn't hit.

Guess not.

I feel like he's, you know, he's matured
in his humor where he's like, okay, fine.

That one didn't work.

Let's move on instead of getting
upset about it, which is huge

growth for somebody sometimes.

Yeah.

Especially my poor little goober
son just wants to be funny and

nobody's doing him an inch.

I'm like, damn it.

I thought I was Okay.

Fine.

He's already learned that It's tough
sledding up there for a comedian.

True story.

Oh, yeah.

So, yeah, that was, uh, yeah,
I, I, I agree with that.

You know that.

Mm-hmm.

He's, uh, he's, he's,
he's had some growth since

then.

Yes.

Sure.

Watching that this morning.

I, I, I, I thought back to Tiara's
comments on your episode about that.

I'm like, yeah, okay.

I didn't never notice that the
first time, but yeah, you're right.

The last time he kind of
sulked and then he Yeah.

Hit the whole Florida state
seminal vesicles thing

was Yeah.

I mean, even

this, he's still salt in this one, but he
didn't like little bit bring it up Blake.

Mm-hmm.

It's

like, well, but I mean, he and he had
a sulk about, uh, when he was going

through the tropes about you bitch.

Yes.

Who's the bitch now?

And

Katie was like, I don't, yeah.

He's

like, bows his head and walks back.

Uh, so fuck.

Fight fir on this.

We all wanted to jump Dr.

McDavid.

Yes.

And all wanted to kick j Pete's ass.

Of course.

Yes.

Oh yeah.

Easy

al.

Yeah.

J Easy Jiv and Pete needed
to get his ass kicked.

Um, yeah, she was kind of acute,
the, the eye doctor, so why not?

And, uh, ferta, I mean, Wayne,
because I've been there.

Yeah.

I've been there having
to give up on a friend.

Yeah.

I I I know what that's like.

Yeah.

I mean, yeah, it was, it was a,
it was disappointing, I guess.

Mm-hmm.

You know, I'm not mad.

I'm disappointed.

Yeah.

So, but yeah.

That's, that's the season.

What, what are you looking
forward to in, uh, season 12?

Uh,

you know, this season felt like I,
I wouldn't mind to see like, to, to,

to give more weight to this season.

Uh, driving Pete, trying to,
trying again, re trying again.

Yeah.

I wouldn't mind seeing that.

I don't know if that has to
happen right away in season 12,

or if they can wait a while.

But I'd like to see some
relationships blossom here.

I mean, unfortunately it looks like Gail
and Dickens are done, uh, which is too

bad cuz I really like those two together.

But yeah, I'd love to see
some, some relationships there.

Somebody for Katie maybe,
or Bonnie or, or something.

That'd be kind of fun.

Um, here's something, and I mean, I hope
they have it in their long-term goals

be to, to cause some conflict or some,
some, some stress in these storylines.

And because it, for me, the fights
have become really predictable.

I hate to say it, but
Wayne has to lose a fight.

Wayne has to lose a fight to
somebody if to, to get some Dr.

To create some drama.

Should,

should it be someone we already know or.

That's a great question.

I feel like in the past he's
already almost lost to, uh, the,

the head degen there, the four

name, aal, Allister,
Orson, Westwood, Yates.

Okay.

Thank you Dean.

I'll never get that.

Yep, me neither.

So it could be him, like, cuz
then we can see, we can watch Dan,

uh, Wayne deal with the follow.

And it could be that, you know, he, he, I
guess we kind of did that when, when Tyson

knocked him out with the sucker punch.

Mm-hmm.

So I thought it happened once before, but.

I think he's gotta lose it,
which, yeah, no, it's not.

He's gotta lose it.

A legitimate fight and then have
like, let's see how he deals

with that.

Yeah.

He's had some close ones for sure.

Yeah.

Yeah, yeah.

And he's been bailed out by, by
dairy a few times, you know, fights.

Yeah.

One thing that I, I think that
could make that interesting is if

there's a fallout between either
him and dairy or him and Dan.

Um, yeah.

And having them fight each other.

Yeah.

I feel like though, that like,
so I feel like they kind of avoid

serious topics that aren't funny
and they're, I I, I have a hard time

figuring out how they could make, I.

Of a rift between him and Dan or dairy.

Funny.

Mm-hmm.

Whereas if he loses to a, you know,
somebody, uh, either an outsider

or to Oliver, whatever his name is,

Alison something.

Orson Westwood Gates.

I liked

Oliver though, that, that
it, we totally fits the first

time I said, I said Alison, so

I think I, I, I stumbled through his
name so poorly that I, I, I've just

become gun shy, but you know what I mean?

Like Yeah.

I feel like it, it'd be hard for them.

It would be too heavy if it was
between him and one of his buddies.

I think it need, it needs to
be a com, either a complete

stranger or one of the degens.

Yeah.

I, I, hmm.

I don't

know.

Yeah.

That would make it interesting.

Anyway, maybe, uh,

what's his name?

Um, fuck, uh, Bradley, maybe Bradley
comes back and they get fight.

Oh, that's for some reason.

Yeah.

Jesus.

My

brain was just like, oh man,
he's, and that's gonna cause

problem with Rosie again.

Right.

But he's, he's too big a star now.

I don't think he'll
ever come back athletic

Kenny.

Too bad.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I, yeah.

Like who else, who else from like a past
season that we haven't seen in a while

would be cool to see come back, other than
the student Devin that we'll never see.

Can you imagine?

Or Devin comes back as, you
know, he's pumped Devin, but

like Devin is now a woman.

Like, I'd be okay with that kind
of, cuz we haven't had any of that

representation on letter Kenny.

Yeah.

Yeah.

That's certainly wouldn't fight

him.

No, Wayne wouldn't fight
her, but maybe Katie would.

No.

Yeah.

But yeah, I, I, I know I just, the only
problem with that is trans, uh, uh,

uh, I non-trans person playing a trans

person.

Yeah.

No, I wouldn't want the actor, I wouldn't
want the same actor to come back.

Mm.

Like, I mean, if, if, if I'm dreaming
here, let's just go with Jamie

Clayton because I'm in love with her.

And I, maybe that could
be the theory of, uh, gay.

Gay is actually, actually Devin

isn't, isn't, um, Oh,
what's, what's his name now?

Um, Ellen Page.

What, what, what?

Elliot Uh, Elliot, yeah.

Elliot isn't Elliot Canadian?

I mean, maybe he, he can come on.

I don't know.

Uh, but,

uh, I mean, he is doing action
scenes in Umbrella Academy, so Yeah.

Maybe

he's biggest star.

He's kinda tiny though.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Probably not any bigger than rolled

prob Prob actually probably
would be about right.

Yeah.

Anyway, like, yeah, just in terms of
keeping things interesting that might,

I mean, always, you know, keep the
funny, but, uh, if you wanted to like

an interesting storyline, it would be,
oh, Wayne dealing with not being the

toughest guy in letter Kenyon anymore.

So that'd be kind of in

Interesting.

Well, another, yeah, another thing
that could be interesting that

would kind of be a weird rift is
if Katie and Rosie ended up having,

Mm.

So

an issue.

Yeah.

And then Wayne has to either Yeah,
choose the woman he loves or his sister.

Ooh.

I mean, the way they could do that.

Uh, unfortunately it's a, it's a trope.

Yeah.

The, you love t tropes
would be a misunderstanding.

Where Wayne, where Katie thinks
maybe Rosie stepping out on Wayne,

he's, she's not really Yeah.

Of what you spin through
with my friend and Yeah.

Oh yeah.

It's very, she sees her kinda thing,

but, you know, it could maybe work.

I don't know.

She sees her hanging out with another
guy who's actually her, another cousin.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And then Wayne's note
about it all along, right.

That would, it'd be like the nudes episode
where, uh, like he walks in and sees them

together and he's like, ready to fight,
and she's like, have you met my cousin?

Like, what, what is wrong?

Why are you

upset?

Yeah.

That, that would be interesting

for sure.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I, you know, they got so
many things that they can do.

I, yeah, I do, I do often wonder, because
we're, we are 11 seasons in, if, if

he's, if there's an end in sight Yeah.

That's in their mind.

In the not to, in the, not, well not
in the distant distant, but in the

not too distant future, you know, like
another three or four seasons maybe.

They just, I kinda wonder.

That would

be sad.

Yeah, it would be.

Yeah.

But, you know, there's, I mean,
he, he's, he's had success with

Shorey, which I know he loves.

Um, I, I do wonder if maybe he's
got another spinoff in mind.

Mm-hmm.

Um, you know, I would, I would love to
see, like I've always said, a Rez spinoff.

Mm-hmm.

Uh, with Tan more tanis is always good.

So Yeah.

And that could definitely
link up with Shorey.

Mm-hmm.

Um, so yeah.

Lots of good things that could happen.

I mean, you know, I know he doesn't want,
he definitely doesn't want to give up on

letter Kenny until he's, I'm, I'm sure,
I'm sure he has probably an end in sight.

He, I mean, I don't think he goes
anywhere without a plan, so, well

not, I mean, him giving up but also
crave, I mean, letter Kenny is still,

you know, craves flagship show.

True.

Maybe, you know, uh, they've added
a lot of stuff to it, but in terms

of crave original content mm-hmm.

Uh, very little Beats Letter
Kenny still, or, or Shorey now.

So yeah, very true.

Kenny's pretty shocked if they not,
not let him quit or end it, but be

be like, Hey, come on, if you, you
know, how about another season or two?

It's, yeah, it's gonna end up
being like supernatural, you know?

I

was just thinking that.

I was like, this is the next supernatural
where we keep getting spinoffs,

but the main show just never dies.

Well, they, they kept trying to spin
off Supernatural and all of them failed.

Um, The

one, whatever one is happening right now,
apparently is doing pretty good though.

But I haven't watched anything.

Yeah.

The, it's the prequel stuff.

Yeah.

Yeah.

But yeah, I, I don't know if
that's, is that still going on?

Did we ever actually finish the super?

We had, we had one season left, I think.

Okay.

That's

a hard one to get back into when it's been

so long.

I'm probably gonna have to watch the
last three just to remember, or more.

That was a great

show.

Yeah.

We just went, went through that with Mrs.

Maisel.

When, when, when that season started,
we're like, how did the last season end?

Can you remember?

And that was only

like a year ago.

So what, what are you watching now
that's not letter Kenny related.

Oh.

Um, well, I mean, we, we, Mrs.

Maisel, um, Barry's coming back soon.

So looking forward to Barry.

Uh, you like that one, right, Dean?

Yeah.

I

Oh, it's a lot fun.

I, uh, yeah, I think I w where I was last
year, when the, when the, is that the

second season or third season came out?

Last year?

Um, I was just, I was not
in a place to watch it.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So, uh, cuz I know cuz of the, of
Barry himself and my, where I was.

So I knew I, it was not
something I was ready to hand.

Listen, watch at that moment, I,
it's, and it's a fantastic show.

It's so

funny.

Yeah.

It's so, no, no whole Hank is one of
my favorite characters on TV right now.

He's so good.

I, I, you know, and, uh, Henry Winkler.

Oh, I know.

Brilliant.

So, yeah, it's a great cast and I mean,
I, yeah, I hear what you're saying.

So hopefully you're in a spot to pick
that up again cuz it's, uh, I'm looking

for, and I think this might be the last
season, so, uh, looking forward to seeing

how they Yeah, I think I heard that.

Yeah.

Hmm.

Uh, but yeah, I don't know.

I'm not watching anything.

Well, we just finished, uh, a
poker face, which is a lot of fun.

I wanna watch that.

That's like female Colombo.

Uh, he's, she's great.

She's so good, uh, in it.

And, uh, yeah, that we enjoyed that one.

Um, yeah, I can't think of uh,
anything else right now, but

yeah, we're back on Ted Lasso.

Mm-hmm.

Oh, of

course.

We have watched

Ted Lasso the most up to date.

We have not watched the last

episode yet.

Yeah.

I haven't watched any,
any of this season yet.

Okay.

Where I'm waiting for it to
end so that we can get it.

Cause uh, yeah, I don't
wanna have to wait.

I had a

friend that I hung out with yesterday
who got mad at me cuz I said I

hadn't watched the most recent.

I'm like, I haven't watched it.

Yeah.

The last of us, which we finished.

Yeah.

It was amazing.

Yeah.

Uh, if you ever played the game, it was.

No.

Excellent.

The game is no,

but I mean, I, I've heard so many amazing
things about it, so I'm so tempted just to

watch it because I hear it's amazing, so

Yeah.

Yeah, it is.

It's awesome.

Um, it's really heartfelt, uh, sticks
true to as much of the game as it can.

I mean, they could have had the
o the only thing I would ding it

for is not having enough zombie.

Yeah.

Or because

he can't fight them every five minutes
like you do in the video games.

Right.

I mean, so yeah, they had to tone it
down just because of that, but they

could have used more a little bit.

There were, there were a couple

episodes where it was like there was

none.

Yeah.

I'm becoming more, more and more
of a fan of, uh, Pedro Pasco.

Oh, yeah.

Oh yeah.

I just watched,

don't watch Mandalorian personally,

but like No, I, it wasn't even that.

It was, uh, um, the Nicholas Cage.

Yes,

yes.

Oh,

I love that movie.

Massive.

So good.

Massive, uh, massive weight.

The unbearable weight of massive Italian.

Yeah.

There.

Yeah.

So funny.

And Pedro Pascal, he steals every scene.

Yeah.

He's, I was watching this thing
the other day where it was, um,

Nick Cage and Peter Pa Pascal
were being interviewed and mm-hmm.

Nick was just talking about
his awe of Peter Pascal and

he's just like, oh my God.

Like, and you know, he's, he was
talking about how he didn't have to

act much in that sh in that movie
because that was how he genuinely felt

really getting to work with Nick Cage.

Yeah.

Like, I mean, Nick Cage is just
being Nick Cage in that right cage.

Well,

he's more Nick Cage than Nick.

Yeah.

A Nick Cage plus

Nick Cage plus.

Oh yeah.

And I love, I am
absolutely a Nick Cage fan.

It does not matter how
terrible the movie is.

I will love it if he's in it.

Yeah.

Uh, you might appreciate this at work
we have, uh, you know, these team

groups, chat groups or whatever, uh,
and one of them is a B movie club.

Yes.

And, and the biggest, uh, everyone in it
is a huge fan of Nick Cage movies like The

Cheesiest, the Be the Cheesier the better.

Right?

They, they love anything Absolutely.

That he puts out.

He puts a

hundred percent in every
single movie he's in.

It doesn't matter if it is the
worst script in the world or

if it's, you know, kick ass.

Like yeah, he will put that same amount
of effort into, so I'm street bad guys.

Well, he can't, like,
cuz the CGI is so bad.

Oh yeah.

I'm looking forward to that vampire
one that, yeah, it's great field.

Wanna watch that?

Manfield him and, and, uh, Nick Nicholas,
is it Nick Holt or something like that?

He holt something like that.

Nicholas Holt.

He is amazing.

Uh, I, well, I mean, I, I recommend
the great, if you don't mind a

period comedy, uh, but it, it's, he's
really good in that Nicholas Holt.

Um, so, uh, if you like, uh,
it's about the Russian, uh,

Oliar, uh, like, uh, royalty or
whatever, and he plays, um, okay.

A Russian ruler and, and what's her name?

Uh, I forget her name.

El Fanning.

Is it?

Yeah.

Okay.

I think

that was the only thing I knew
about it was El Fanning was in it.

Yeah.

That's why I'm

looking it up.

Oh.

But he's

in it.

He plays a horrible, horrible
character in it, but a hilariously

horrible character in it.

And, uh, anyway, so I became
a big fan of him in that.

So now seeing him with Nick Cage and,
and Renfru is, Renfield is, um, yeah.

I can't wait.

Nice.

Yeah,

he was the, uh, he was
the guy in warm bodies.

That's

what I remember him from.

Yeah.

I, it was, it surprised me when
I found out he was British.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Oh, he is not British and warm bodies.

He doesn't, no, he doesn't.

Well, he is a zombie.

He's just a zombie.

He doesn't speak out.

He doesn't have a lot.

He talks in, it's the voiceover.

Yeah.

Oh.

But yeah.

No, I don't think he was British, but
affects an American actor in that one

and, you know, and then, and X-men.

Yeah.

He's a

really great actor.

He's got a huge, like, a
great future in front of him.

And I think, uh, Yeah.

Agreed.

More people

can see him.

Yeah.

Yeah.

He, uh, I don't remember
the first time I saw him.

Um, wasn't warm bodies.

No.

It was something before

that.

Well, so this isn't the first
movie he's been in with Nick Cage.

Oh.

Oh, that's probably, he
played Nick Cage's, uh, son,

I think in Weatherman or Yeah.

Really?

He was a child

in that movie.

Yeah.

Um, because that was a while ago.

Yep.

So there you go.

There's your fun fact

about him.

Cool.

All right then.

Yeah.

The only other thing I'm looking forward

to, oh, he was about a boy, boy.

He, the, the Hugh Grant movie about a boy.

He was the boy.

Yeah.

He was about a

boy, boy.

He was about

a boy, boy.

I didn't know how

else to say it, but I had a boy, boy.

Such a boy.

A good boy.

Such a good boy.

Such a boy.

Oh man.

Yeah.

Yeah.

The only thing, see, I'm looking
for, there's a couple things

that they're rapping or they're
gonna be putting out this year.

I mean, the second season of
reacher, I'm really looking forward

to.

Mm-hmm.

Oh yeah.

I'm looking forward to that too.

Are they doing another peacemaker or not?

I love.

I hope so.

That was fun.

Well, with was

such a huge hit, like I think the
issue is right now, I mean, I, I think

they want to, the issue is HBO O Max
is now becoming Max, and that's who,

and so no longer Warner Brothers now.

It's owned by Discovery.

So I, I don't know what
the hell they're doing.

I'm pretty much gonna, you know,
if, if I'm gonna watch it, I,

it'll be a torrent thing, so.

Yeah.

Oh, they have to bring it back though.

Cause that was brilliant.

Oh, the dance.

I love the fucking dance.

Yeah, no,

to watch that opening again.

Yeah.

So good.

I mean, yeah.

I, I had no, I idea that John
Cena was, was gonna be that

great at Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I, yeah,

a agreed, I thought I was gonna end
up just, I mean, hating it or be bored

and like, on my phone the whole time.

But I loved it.

To be

fair.

To be

fair, we did see him in, uh, psych a
couple of times playing Jules's brother.

True.

I forgot about that.

So, yeah.

What is it about, uh, these summer
wrestlers that they, they turn

out to be really charismatic and
really good, you know, character

actors.

He's acting, they've been acting
for so long, just physically

don't himself.

Seriously.

Right.

Like the rock was, can't
take themselves seriously.

Yeah.

But the Rock seems to have, uh, made a bad
name for himself as of, uh, black Adam.

So

made up.

Would

you?

I don't know.

Well,

he's, he's, he's kind of, I think

his comedy movies do better than his.

Well, he, I, no, he, but he had some, he
had some issues that he kind of made, oh.

Instead of making it, you know, behind the
scenes type of thing, he, he definitely

went live about any issues he had.

Okay.

Um, you know, but, so he didn't keep

himself quiet when, when

things were, so, like the, the plan was
that the, there, hi, black Adams main

enemy was Shazam and he wanted to be.

Superman.

Right, I remember that.

So, um, and so he kind of forced that.

Um, and so there was, there, yeah.

So, okay.

Yeah, that was the issue.

And, and then because of that, it kind
of fucked up the second Shazam movie.

Uh, there was a whole
bunch of crap with that.

And so, yeah.

I think,

uh, somebody ruined that movie.

Well talking.

Yeah.

I think, yeah, I think there
was a bit of both in there.

Yeah.

Okay.

So still shocked not

Jewish.

I don't, it's so weird.

Yeah.

I, because I think were, I'm

just shocked that he's a Joe Rogan fan.

Well,

that's too bad.

Chuck was so great.

We just did a rewatch not that long ago,
and it was just so, it was still just a

greatest show.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I mean, I know he's, he keeps
talking about, Getting the band

back together and doing for Chuck.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Really?

Oh yeah.

He, he wants to, he, he's been
working on that for a long time,

trying to get it happen again.

I would watch that.

I would watch.

Yeah.

I love Chuck.

Chuck was so great.

Yeah, so great.

I mean, I'm just a big Sarah fan.

It's all watching

Yvon Husky.

Oh, dead.

Yeah.

They could leave out Adam
Baldwin out of it though.

Yes, yes, yes.

He's a little, they're they're
coming together for his funeral.

How's that?

That I'm all for that.

Yeah.

And they can bring,
bring his daughter back.

She's, yeah.

But she's married to Morgan.

Yeah.

And, uh, Chuck is married to Sarah.

Mm-hmm.

And wait, he, at the end of
the series, didn't he like,

have memory wipe or was it her.

I can't.

Oh, oh yeah.

It was her.

I think it was her.

Okay.

So yeah, they're, they're like, yeah.

He

basically

make her fall in love with her.

Uh, make her fall in love with him again.

Yeah.

I remember now.

No, just get David Mack
to write the script.

Good.

Yeah.

David, get on that.

Right?

Maybe that's the thing we should do.

Table reads of Chuck.

Yeah.

There's few char fewer characters Who's
gonna, uh, who's gonna be Big Mike?

Oh man.

Oh, it would be Brian Tan.

Oh, there you go.

Oh, that's perfect.

Yeah, that would be fun.

Oh God, I just saw it.

Oh

boy.

Yeah.

No, not, not right now, please.

Just

got too many, too many
things in the Hopa Uhhuh.

This job lasts another like seven weeks.

I, I don't need anything until like
three weeks into summer vacation.

so I'm looking forward to hearing it.

Yeah.

Or reading

it and yeah.

It should, it should, it should be great.
