We cover the sport of CrossFit from all angles. We talk with athletes, coaches and celebrities that compete and surround in the sport of CrossFit at all levels. We also bring you Breaking News, Human Interest Stories and report on the Methodology of CrossFit. We also use the methodology to make ourselves the fittest we can be.
I hate when my buttons aren't in the
right spot.
Come on man.
From the gym to the screen, yeah,
we cover it all.
Midday motivation every time you press
call.
Lunch with the Clydesdale.
Cowboy bring the heat.
Crossfit, boobies, music on repeat.
Half hour hustle, yeah,
we building that brand.
Grab a plate, tune in now,
you part of the fam.
It's lunch time.
I really like that.
Oh.
right at the end i'm a big fan
of that clydesdale singers man they just i
mean everything they can they earn their
they earn their money they want every
percent every cent every cent every cent
uh did we ever mention the fact that
if you do not like this show you
get them we have a money back guarantee
everything that you pay us send you back
do not like this show whatever you paid
to watch you're gonna get right back
unless unless you've donated to carolyn
and jamie that money is off limits that
money is off limits it's in the small
print that that money does not go back
yeah if we get a super chat today
all that money goes to jamie and carolyn
one hundred percent of what you donate
I know that YouTube takes a cut.
I am offsetting that cut myself.
So they will get one hundred percent of
whatever you guys donate to get them to
the CrossFit Games.
And the teens have started announcing
workouts along with the adaptives.
And we had a nice chat this morning.
Does that mean we know what the Masters
of Games athlete is up against?
Not a bit.
Because not even close.
Even talk.
even close i will say this i saw
that workout that uh and it took me
a second before i realized it was for
the teens um because they just said
crossfit games on it or whatnot and i
had to go read it and it's like
oh pitt prodigy got it that looks like
a fun workout that looks like a workout
i might actually do tomorrow evening
because i'm going to swim in the morning
but that might that looks like a fun
workout to do um so i don't know
who's pro do we know who programs pitt
uh pitt uh brock and i'm assuming
Kevin Ogre.
They are working together this year.
I find it interesting that Pitt decided
not to team with Legends,
but team with Adaptive this year.
I don't.
I'm making a bunch of assumptions with
that whole move.
But just saying, kind of interesting.
It's fine.
Vicky, nineteen ninety nine for the girls.
Thank you so much, Vicky.
I'm sure they appreciate it.
Yeah,
I was going to say they appreciate every
single every single, you know,
I can only give.
Yeah, I can only give two bucks.
It doesn't matter.
It's two dollars more than what they had
before.
Believe me when I tell you.
And for Carolyn,
that converts to a lot Canadian.
Right.
Yeah.
I don't know Carolina well,
but I know Jamie,
and I can guarantee you she's going to
be almost embarrassed by whatever money we
end up giving her by the end of
the week.
So please, if you can, help her out.
Shana Bunce, I think I know why.
Yeah.
Maybe.
I'm betting.
I'm betting.
I'm betting.
I think you do.
I'm betting you probably do know.
Yeah, a hundred percent.
A hundred percent.
Yeah.
I don't really have anything written down.
I don't know if I've said this on
the show before, but I hate my job.
I'm trying to remember if you've ever said
that.
Gosh.
And before Amanda asks, yes,
every meeting today could have been an
email.
Every meeting today could have been an
email.
But it's taken me away from all the
stuff I want to do.
The only thing I got to do today,
CrossFit or for the podcast was I got
to read an article done by Vicki.
She's an excellent writer.
And I really enjoyed it.
Other than that, nothing.
She's an excellent writer.
Good job, Vicki.
I should read whatever she wrote.
Maybe I can get her to send it
to me.
Isn't that every meeting?
It's ninety percent of the meetings.
I will give you ten percent are legit
and need to happen.
But man.
uh i've been in meetings this was a
long time ago but i've been in meetings
where i actually said this doesn't need to
be happening right now like you could have
sent us a freaking text message and it
had been okay uh andrew stanton says if
you know why they split why don't you
say so because i don't it would all
be an assumption on my part and you
know what happens when you assume
It is taking little bits of information
that I've had over the years and putting
it together to guess why.
I have not talked to Pitt.
I have not talked to Adaptive.
I have not talked to Bob and Joe.
So it would all be an assumption on
my part.
And I would be irresponsible to give my
reasoning why they split.
More so with the last two than the
other ones because you've talked to the
pit people within the past probably year
and a half or so because I remember
them being on the show.
Yeah.
And I did.
The last person I've talked to is Brock
at the combined teen age group games last
year during the event.
Yep.
In person, we talked,
we had a conversation.
I believe that I got some information in
that that led me to believe why this
is happening now.
As it turns out.
Vicky, where can we read your stuff?
Yes, Vicky, where can we read your stuff?
One,
you can go to BeLimitlessVicky on
Instagram.
Is it BeLimitlessVicky?
BeLimitless...
pretty sure it's be limitless it might be
be limitless something on instagram and i
think she puts links to stuff there hold
on yeah be limitless vicky and she has
a link tree gotta love those link trees
all the functional things dr v
just read that dr v dr v i
am going to forever now refer to her
as dr v because i did not know
that previously i i i what i love
about vicky's writing is oftentimes it's
how i feel yeah
And she's much better at the writing
piece.
It's probably because I don't read books
anymore.
Actively not reading books.
Actively avoiding any type of paper in
front of you.
Yeah.
There's a piece of paper in front of
me.
I'll read it.
It's when it's bound together as one big
object.
Someone bound three hundred pages
together.
What is wrong with you?
Get that away from me, Scott.
Probably.
Yep.
Yep.
Yeah, Tessa,
the so we addressed this on Monday.
I met Lisa Wells a few years back
when we interviewed Sidney.
And she is one of the,
she was one of the sweetest people I've
ever met in my life.
It,
I was very sad to see that news.
Um, and feel bad for Sydney and Brooke.
Um, speaking of interviewing Sydney,
I got this notice on my computer that
my Google storage space was almost used
up.
Oh no.
And that I could pay an extra fifty
bucks a year if I wanted to expand
that storage.
Well,
I am not paying fifty more dollars to
expand my storage.
I have like five hard drives with all
the content from all the years of doing
this thing, right?
Every show is on a hard drive that
we've ever done.
so i'm like i'm just going to start
scrubbing it and deleting all the stuff
because a lot of times like when i'm
on the road i capture something on one
item and i have to move it over
to another item and so i feed that
to the google drive and then download it
to whatever device i'm trying to do so
i was going through dude i have not
scrubbed this thing probably since
wow and i am seeing all of these
interviews that i've done over the years
just kind of come flooding back to me
this morning and i'm and i'm not really
a look back guy i'm more of a
look forward guy that's how i've always
been right and um but man i really
had to take a step back and like
there's amanda barnhart being interviewed
there's
Rebecca Fusile, Ariel Lowen, Emily Rolfe,
Alex Kazan, tons of Saxon.
Well, yeah.
Tons of Saxon.
It was just really a cool walk down
memory lane.
As I'm deleting it all.
As you're deleting it all.
Look,
I do that with the pictures on my
phone going back through and like,
you know, just going, okay, I need to,
like I have entirely too many pictures on
my phone.
I'm never going to keep all these.
What am I doing with all this stuff?
And I go back and I'm like,
i don't want to delete this one because
it's a picture of jameson and she's like
three and she's doing something cute even
though there's five more in that line and
she's making almost the exact same face
and i'm like i can't surely i can't
get rid of any of these yeah yeah
i used to do that when i was
uh djing and i had my music on
a hard drive uh i would do the
same thing like you go through every once
in a while you know with duplicates of
stuff
you know, or different remixes, this,
that, whatever.
And I would go to not start listening
to it.
Cause you know,
maybe I named it something off the wall
and I would do the same thing.
And I would go, Oh, I didn't even,
wow.
I did not know I had this.
Oh, this is the, Oh shit.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
you start getting nostalgic and then like
that's a easy easy easy rabbit hole to
fall very very deep off into and you
look up and like four hours have passed
by like i have to get work done
holy this isn't cool at all yeah the
some of the crazy ones were like a
a a year old annika greer um
like, because you like back in the day,
I couldn't get any of the big names
when I first started.
So my goal was to get all the
young athletes that hadn't quite broke it.
And like,
then maybe I could build this thing to
where they would then we'd become friends
and they'd come on.
And that worked for a good chunk of
them.
Yeah.
So there's like a lot of people like
my first interview with Ariel was before
she ever made the games.
um and so that it was just really
cool too huh oh yeah oh yeah i've
i interviewed colton a couple times before
the games uh jenny soak uh eight three
two zero twenty dollars for the game for
the girls thank you so much i didn't
even have to flex for it we doing
all right this morning i tell you what
And so that was kind of the wild
ride is seeing all these people way back
when they were young and before they had
made the games.
I do have to say, like,
I know Colton's going to be on the
CrossFit Games,
the sport of fitness podcast at one
o'clock today.
Like, I love Colton.
And I love Chase,
but what is there left to say?
So I hear you're a former of some
sorts.
Like, I'm with you.
I mean, I get it.
They're interviewing everybody or however
many people, whatever.
And scheduling, you know,
Colton's available.
Cool.
Let's talk to Colton.
But good Lord, man.
And I love the dude.
Absolutely love the dude.
But good Lord,
how many times can you ask him about,
so you get up at four o'clock every
morning and go feed the pigs and do
all that?
Yeah, he's been doing it.
You work all day and train?
And train.
He's been saying the same shit since the
first time everybody was freaking out
about it.
And now everybody knows.
And it's not just that he's doing pig
stuff anymore.
Now they got the soap that they're
selling,
like the homestead products and blah,
blah, blah, whatever.
So like he's doing, yeah,
he's doing all this other stuff.
And if you've been in the space for
more than ten minutes and know who he
is, you already know this stuff.
It's not a secret.
And none of this is Colton's fault.
None of this is Colton's fault.
Before people rained down on me,
like my comment about the boys
interrupted.
Here we go.
This is not Colton's fault.
He should take advantage of all of this
because his brand is expanding.
He has created Homestead products because
of all this.
All that is great for him.
Me as a viewer is I'm,
I want, yes.
I want to hear an interview with Holly
Tynan.
I don't even know who she is.
I'm sure.
I'm sure.
But the sport of fitness podcast is
CrossFit.
Yeah.
They're the ones,
them and Dave are the ones that I
want to see expose these people.
Other people can do it too.
I'm not taking, it's not coming out right.
It's all a jumbled mess in my head
and it's,
I think it's lazy of CrossFit to keep
going back to the same well.
It was my same comment about Boys
Interrupted.
They've got their phone number.
It's an easy call.
They keep doing the same thing.
Sure.
They come to the ranch.
They go to the military base.
They do the open announcements because we
got their phone number.
start reaching out to some of these other
athletes and doing the same thing with
them and give them some exposure as well.
There's new people.
There's rookies.
There's people we haven't talked to.
There's people we haven't spoke a whole
lot to.
There's the new kids that are coming up
and coming through.
And what else are you going to talk
to Colton about at this point?
That's my question.
What else are you going to talk to
Colton about?
I don't know.
I can't think of anything.
Hey, your hog scrub's really good.
I have a bar of it in my
shower at home.
It's amazing.
Fantastic.
What are we going to do now?
I... Let's go back to Ricky Bobby.
I'll put it on,
but I'll listen to that at like two
speed.
Just because I'm only listening to see if
there's something new.
That's it.
I mean, you get Ricky Bobby and...
Car ran real good.
Car ran real good.
I don't know what to do with my
hands.
I mean,
and it would be the same thing if
they would go and talk to Justin or
Dallin or Jason or some of the girls.
Like, bro,
we know their life inside and out.
Let's go talk to the Harley Tynons of
the world.
Who is she?
Legitimately, who is she?
I have absolutely no idea.
Word on the street is the athletes may
be able to wear their own clothes at
the games for the Masters.
Only enough uniform for opening ceremonies
and one other workout.
If that's the case, then that's...
i'm okay with wearing my own clothes
wonder if i could wear games gear from
why wouldn't you here's here's my thing
the only thing about that's cool about
wearing your own clothes is it gives
sponsorship opportunities absolutely and
it may only be a couple bucks but
you could promote a product or a sport
while you're or another thing while you're
out there and it gives you the opportunity
to earn a buck or two
You could even sell spots at that point,
potentially, if you've got enough reach,
you've got enough people that you know
that would potentially want to throw some
sponsorship dollars at you just to wear a
shirt with their name on it,
whatever the case may be.
If I'm a t-shirt company,
make a really cool-ass shirt that you turn
into a jersey that actually catches
people's eye.
hundred percent i would be covered in imam
company swag from head to toe if they
would let us wear our own stuff like
if i made the games and they're like
just wear whatever you want but to say
that they're only going to give you enough
uniforms for the opening ceremonies and
maybe one other workout like that's let
that's down from last year which is down
from the year before that yeah um
What was I going to say here?
Wayne asked me to get Holly Tynan on
the show.
Yeah.
I have not done an interview in a
long time.
I think Justin Kotler maybe a little bit
ago, maybe earlier this year.
But man, was that in February?
Yeah.
Like it's probably been five,
six months since I've interviewed anybody
and really probably a full year since I've
had, I've done full interviews.
I think you had Justin on,
when did he announce that he was going
to HWPO?
Yeah.
So I want to say it was not
long after that.
I've had him on so many times,
it's hard to know exact dates.
But regardless of all that,
Megan Apostolaris jumped on board with us
on Sunday night.
And I was like, man, this is fun.
I forgot how fun it was to do
any of this.
And Megan's fantastic.
She's easy to talk to.
And so I'm like, you know what?
I'm going to start reaching out to some
people.
But just so you guys know,
I'm going to reach out to people that
I am interested in knowing more about.
And,
and not just because they're a name in
the sport or whatever.
Yeah.
And, uh,
so tomorrow we're having a special guest
on tomorrow's show and it is Bailey,
mayor of VA mayor.
Oh, I get this.
Apparently this week,
we're only having people on the show with
names, hard to pronounce and names,
hard to pronounce and harder to spell
postularis on Sunday night.
And.
bailey mavigliera i think is what it is
tomorrow i believe you um i'll have it
by tomorrow i swear
We'll have it nailed down by then.
Not a big deal.
But anyway,
she is a she was a team athlete.
I think she podiumed in the games like
seventeen, sixteen, seventeen era.
She competed as a Masters this year.
Unfortunately,
she was one of the people who got
dinged on her cleans.
But she also competed in American
Gladiator.
And she did Xenon.
She's interesting, folks.
And she's an affiliate owner.
Even better.
So with all that,
we're going to have her on tomorrow.
Talk about how you get involved in
American Gladiator, why she jumped in,
why did she say yes.
We're going to talk about her experiences
at Xenon, what she felt it was like,
and all that.
So tomorrow, lunchtime,
we're having a guest.
We're having a guest over,
so be on your best behavior.
Or your behavior.
Whatever that ends up looking like.
But as always,
the chat will be open to ask questions
and all of that stuff.
We're going to keep this an open-ended
show with you guys having the ability to
jump in.
And your donations to Jamie and Carolyn
will still be taken.
There you go.
Despite the fact that we have a guest.
So by all means,
every little bit helps y'all for sure.
Avera, I thought Cordway had retired.
I did too,
and I have this ready to pull up
because Avera has to...
And I was going to call this news
that doesn't matter news.
Doesn't matter news.
And I'm not being mean because... No,
but honestly...
Interviews that I deleted this morning,
a couple of them were with Sam.
And Sam is an awesome dude.
And I love talking to him.
But Brute has announced he is now a
Brute athlete.
But... Okay.
We haven't seen him...
compete he did wfp one i think i
think he's i think did he finish wfp
one i think he started wfp one did
he make it all the way through i
don't even know dude nobody knows i want
to say the last time i saw him
on a competition floor was on a team
with rich wasn't that a thing like uh
i think he went to the games one
year after that okay
Yeah, he – twenty-three games?
Something along those lines.
Whatever – it wasn't Rich's last fling,
whenever that was.
It was close to that.
Yeah,
I remember seeing him because he was going
toe-to-toe with Nick Matthew on the lifts
in twenty-three.
Okay.
And it's just a vivid memory for me.
I don't know.
Oh, here we go.
Backdoor manager Joseph.
He pulled out of the twenty three games.
Yep.
So he was there and he did the
lift because he was right beside Nick
Matthew.
And it was whoever went first,
Nick or him would do a weight and
then the other would add five pounds.
Yeah.
Okay.
I do remember that.
I do remember that.
And it was just like head to head.
Are we going to see more mayhem people
leave to go to Brute?
I don't know what the deal is.
I think it's just like anything else,
right?
Brute had the champ.
Jason wins the games.
James won before that.
So now they're on a little bit of
a run.
They've got Emma and...
name somebody they're probably they have
two women too i uh it doesn't matter
but anyway i think that they're just the
it it camp right now i mean you
got the champ you've got what three out
of potentially four people who could on
the podium that are all brute athletes on
the men's side
yeah oh yeah people are gonna go oh
yeah hayley people are gonna go fee mr
goffy if you want to learn more about
how to can you there's a uh special
scott did right here on the channel four
four episode documentary four episode
documentary
At this point,
you should rename Mayhem Jump Ship.
The problem, Trish,
is I think that's already taken and
trademarked and copyrighted.
a little bit a little bit um i
think it's like anything else dude it goes
through cycles right you see people leave
they go different camp they go here they
go there they move to this one they
don't like that one for a little while
um i think it works a whole lot
better with uh nowadays with you know the
no hard feelings thing like hey i've been
here it's been great whatever but i just
want to get a fresh pair of eyes
on what i'm doing
I want to get a slightly different
perspective on how to train and what seems
to be working for these guys.
Maybe it'll work for me.
Worst case scenario,
I can go back to what I was
doing before.
And here's the part that a lot of
people won't say.
A lot of times an athlete will
underperform their own expectations.
And rather than looking inward,
look at external factors that may be
causing that.
And so you get a lot of people
looking at, well,
it must be the programming.
It must be the coaching that's not getting
me to the podium of the CrossFit Games.
So I need to jump over to this
group because they're putting people on
the podium.
Surely it can't be that I skipped my
rowing intervals for three out of four
weeks last week.
That has nothing to do with it.
It's got to be somewhere else.
Not saying that that's what Sam did by
any stretch of the imagination,
because we have no idea.
But I know a lot of that type
of stuff happens,
especially once your ego gets involved.
And you're like, well, I mean,
I'm a fantastic athlete.
Surely,
it can't just be me and my effort
and what I am willing to put out.
I need to go somewhere else.
And that's why you get like camp jumpers.
Danielle Brennan.
Sarah Sigmund's daughter.
Sarah.
Sarah was the original.
She was the OG camp jumper.
Sarah was the original.
You'd be hard-pressed to find a coach that
has not coached Sarah.
It'd be easier to do at this point.
And what's crazy is like she was two-time
podium CrossFit Games athlete.
And then she started jumping camp to camp.
And when she started that,
she never saw that success again.
And then to her credit or in her
defense or whatever,
she started getting injured.
and has been battling, fighting,
get healthy, battling, fighting,
get healthy.
I know what you're fitting to say.
Don't put words in my mouth, Corey.
While she was being injured,
she was also moving from coach to coach.
All of that happened at the same time,
right?
So she left her coach in twenty seventeen,
went to mayhem.
Yeah,
I remember that from that point forward.
There were a good four years it was
not due to injury.
Right.
You're not wrong.
Then at that point,
it became an injury thing.
Yeah.
DB has other troubles.
Yeah.
DB is that coach that comes in and
wins right away.
it can't last can't it won't it won't
last when the flame burns that hot yep
it's only sustainable for a year or two
hundred percent look at how good this is
amazing it is oh no it's not even
contained anymore trish
yeah yeah comp train doesn't even exist as
it is called complete training now so they
can still use the word comp and they
just changed it from competition to
complete and i know that because we still
follow it at my gym mostly it's just
silly but no they have no actual
Not that I've heard of.
Last thing I heard was Cole was in
charge of the programming and was going to
be like the head coach or whatever for
elites, but they do not have any elites.
They've been de-affiliated for quite some
time.
As far as I know,
they're still de-affiliated.
I know more about them than I care
to think about them.
So apparently there's been an update.
The Masters athletes are getting tickets
for the whole weekend.
Really?
Sad, though,
that Lita already bought her tickets.
Ouch.
Lita, if I was going,
I'd buy your tickets from you.
But unfortunately,
I'm going to be in Kansas City that
weekend.
Sorry.
Hexy lover, did you hit that like, share,
subscribe button?
It's the new fad.
Get in on it before everybody else.
You get in early.
Just saying.
I was doing it before it was cool.
There's a special place in my heart if
you get in early.
Hit that like button before everybody
thinks it's cool.
I was doing it before it was cool.
DB equals Dennis Rodman.
I think that's a good analogy.
The hair color for certain.
Well, not only the hair color,
but phenomenal athlete.
Nobody better at certain things,
at certain aspects of their job than
Dennis Rodman was and Daniel Brandon is.
But Dennis Rodman couldn't stay with the
team more than a couple years.
And usually there were a handful of
suspensions in those couple of years.
They want a playoff run.
And he told Phil Jackson,
I need a vacation.
And he flew and gave him what?
Forty eight hours to fly to Vegas and
come back.
And that's exactly what he did.
And they won the next game like he
flew in.
That it was special.
It was special.
Speaking of getting in early.
Hey, all right, Dr. V.
You know what can get you to bed
early and get you to sleep early?
I've heard of something.
Third Z. That's what I've heard of.
The best sleep and recovery tool on the
market.
Number one.
Point blank.
End of story.
Big fat period.
And you can get it for fifteen percent
off when you use promo code Jazzy at
checkout.
That's thirdz.com backslash Jazzy.
Get fifteen percent off your next order of
the best recovery tool there is.
Fifteen percent, folks.
That's a lot of percentage points.
It's one more than fourteen.
Yeah.
I don't know if you guys get annoyed
by...
spam texts these days it used to be
spam um email it used to be spam
calls phone ringing off the hook my mom
has to have a landline because where she
lives you can't get self-service oh that
phone rings all day every five minutes oh
i bet it does all day long but
you want to know how to handle a
spam texter
cory has the answer for you this is
not the first time i've done this matter
of fact it's but it's only if i
get one like the political ones i just
on the iphone that you like slide it
over and then block it right you don't
have to worry about that but the ones
that try to start a conversation with you
those are my favorite because
I have free time.
Like my job allows me to in between
while I'm doing stuff,
I have five to ten minutes to go
ahead and just entertain myself at
whoever's on the other line's expense,
I guess you could say.
So I got one this morning.
And you just got to reply, really,
because they don't know who you are.
And it always starts off kind of like
cagey or whatnot.
So this is what I did this morning
right here.
Song lyrics work well, folks, just saying.
So this is what I got this morning.
May I speak with you briefly?
And I was like, my name isn't briefly.
And as soon as they said, what, Monica,
I don't understand what you mean.
I had two options there.
I could have gone fast and furious,
Monica.
Or the first thing that actually sprang to
mind,
as soon as you said Monica was Mambo
number five.
So I just started singing the chorus to
Mambo number five and I just waited until
they responded.
And then you just go a little bit
of Monica in my life and you get
the question marks.
And then a little bit of Erica by
my side and like, I'm so confused.
Maybe I dialed the wrong number.
And I was like a little bit of
Rita's all I need.
And then,
So that ended like this, right?
With a little bit of Tina's What I
See.
And then since then,
actually while we've been live is I got
it.
So after a little bit of Tina's What
I See, they actually responded back.
So it's not a bot.
And the reason why I know it's not
a bot is because they said,
did you see Tina's vagina?
And I was like, wow,
that's so it's not AI.
Like there's actually a person in the lab.
And so I just kept going.
I said a little bit of Sandra's in
Sandra and the sun.
And then they responded back and said,
Mambo No.
Five isn't a good song.
Honestly, your taste is terrible.
And to which I responded,
coming from somebody who's trying to spam
someone, that's fucking rich.
Right up in that area.
I was like, dude, you can't.
You don't get to tell me that my
taste in music is terrible when you're
sitting there trying to spam me.
That's not a thing.
We don't play those games.
So, folks,
our Clydesdale Media top tip of the day
is that if you are getting spam texts,
don't just get frustrated.
Get even.
Spam them back.
Text works both ways.
I'm just telling you right now.
Joseph, you're not wrong.
The last one I did was, oh man,
I have to go back and find it.
But you just start putting in song lyrics
and like whatever ones I had put,
it was almost like a conversation.
So like they were actually responding to
the song lyrics and
It was fantastic.
That one went on for like two hours.
This lasted about thirty five,
forty minutes,
something along those lines.
But by all means, folks, text for text,
spam text go both ways.
They can read what you're saying.
Hit them back.
That's what I'm saying.
They hit you.
Hit them back.
Vicky sent me something.
I'm trying to get it over to my
Google Drive now that it's all cleaned up.
Now that it's all,
there's nothing in there anymore.
So I can pull it up to show
y'all.
So do you know what Snoop Dogg does
to recover?
I'm so confused.
Thirdsy, point blank, big fat period.
Code Jazzy for fifteen percent off.
That is fantastic.
I just found the other one I did.
The last one I did.
Do you know the song September by Earth,
Wind and Fire?
Oh, yeah, man.
It's one of my favorite songs of all
time.
Do you remember?
Yeah.
So the last one I got started,
I just got a random text and said,
I saw this number while cleaning up my
phone.
Who is this?
And I said, Joe.
And I said, a very familiar name.
My name is Brittany.
Do you remember me?
And that's how my brain works.
Like, as soon as I heard,
do you remember me?
I was like, earth, wind and fire.
So I said,
do you remember the twenty third night of
September?
And she said, no.
chasing the clouds away i said love was
changing the minds of pretenders and then
they sent me oh yeah dude like that
was a whole thing this is my picture
what impression do you have of me and
i just kept going i was like while
chasing the blues away our hearts are
ringing and our in the key that our
souls were saying like it takes a little
while and that's a that's one that they
don't know apparently first time they
texted they knew mambo number five but
Oh,
I assume we had collaborated on a project
before.
And I was like,
how the star stole the night away.
Yeah.
The last thing they said was,
I don't understand what you mean.
If you don't mind,
can you send me a picture?
And I just put the chorus.
Hey, hey, hey.
Body, I say, do you remember?
uh andrew stinn says on a different song
note this saturday july fourth is a
perfect for the song saturday yes indeed
that's andrew thank you andrew stinn that
is going to be i'm going to play
that saturday i absolutely will i'm not
even going to a park but it doesn't
matter so we
My wife and I don't do big crowds
anymore.
We just don't, right?
Nope.
But the neighboring suburb here,
they do a concert every Fourth of July.
And they pull out all the stops to
bring in somebody that was big in my
day.
Maybe not like hitting the charts anymore.
Sure.
But someone big in my day.
and so like a couple years ago was
john fogarty they brought in joe walsh
they brought in joan jett like stuff like
that right not the blackhawks just joan
jett i i don't think she's with the
black hearts anymore that's a shame i
think that a falling out terrible terrible
terrible um but this year they're having
the wallflowers oh and you can consider
getting out of our pajamas in the evening
and actually going over to watch the
wallflowers.
My wife just bought us tickets.
We are going actually back.
I say by Tristan, North Houston area.
But we're going back to the same place
we went and saw Pitbull in C...
Gosh darn it.
It's not a good time when you can't
remember the artist.
My brain is fried.
The Black Crows and Whiskey Meyers.
which is going to be fantastic I'm a
huge Black Rose fan if you ever hear
me sing karaoke there's a really really
good chance I'm going to sing baby here
I am I'm a man don't sing like
that's hard to handle
That's my favorite.
That's my karaoke jam right there.
And then Whiskey Myers is outstanding.
And there's another band that's playing.
It's like Southern Rock, basically,
all night long.
So we'll actually be able to sit down
and see instead of everybody jumping,
all the children jumping up and down for
Pitbull.
It'll be a little bit different.
I'm excited.
But yeah, dude,
I would have gone to see Joe Walsh
just to hear him.
So we had friends that their property
backed up to the school where the concerts
happen.
Right.
And you could sit around their fire pit
and hear the concert like you were there.
Nice.
So we went to their house for Fogarty,
for Joe Walsh.
I missed Joan Jett because I'm on the
Blackheart side.
Scott's a Blackhearts fan never was much
on Joan did like the Blackhearts though
yeah but they don't live there anymore so
that's not an option anymore I would
probably go see the Wallflowers dude Jacob
Dillon is like the real deal it's ten
bucks to get in I don't know if
I can afford that
I got ten bucks for you.
I'll fit in with you before we get
out of here.
I'll send twenty so you and Julie can
both go.
Yeah.
I'm just kidding.
It's a great deal.
But you can't buy tickets unless you're a
resident of this suburb until today.
Okay.
Because they let all the residents have
first dibs on seating.
That makes sense.
Dude, I would go.
They're a good band.
Oh, they're great.
Yeah.
think underrated as a thing like they got
kind of skipped over in the nineties
whenever they were popular i enjoyed them
uh the eagles live rendition of i can't
tell you why the best i love that
song i'm a huge eagles fan in general
oh yeah i had that hell freezes over
live cd tell you how old i am
yeah i've had it like three times in
my life
Um, and I would,
when I was a freshman at Nichols,
I would put that on in,
at my apartment and just sit on my
back deck and everybody,
I hope everybody around me like the
Eagles.
Cause you guys,
what you about to hear as a fan
is a phenomenal album.
Uh, that was a great era.
Wallflowers, Metro box, Tony, et cetera.
Yeah.
The other band that's coming close is
Google dolls,
which is one of my top five bands
of all time.
I'd give up forever to touch you.
That's my least favorite song of theirs.
I mean,
it's just the first one that comes to
mind.
Right.
Baby's black balloon makes her fly.
I mean, whatever.
We can get off on that.
Long Way Down got me hooked right off
the bat.
And then Name and Black Balloon and all
those.
Thank you, Tristan.
That is an incredibly difficult song to
sing, mostly because of all the harmony.
If you don't know,
It's fucking dropping me bananas right
now.
It's a Crosby, Stills, and Nash song,
right?
No, that is the Eagles.
Oh.
It's incredibly difficult to sing.
There's a video of them harmonizing it.
Before they went on stage.
Before they went on stage.
Dude, that's a fantastic song.
I saw the wallflowers.
I saw the wallflowers at the DC airport
when I was eighteen.
I just stared in awe.
You know,
the most insane thing that ever happened
to me musically in my life is I
used to be a karaoke junkie.
Not so much anymore,
but I still like to go and participate
here and there.
So I was on a business trip.
up in Cleveland and we're staying at a
holiday and, and they had karaoke in the,
in the lounge.
Those are the best karaoke's right.
Yeah.
Cause it's all random strangers.
In the middle of a holiday and right.
Yeah.
So we were sitting there hanging out and
I'm putting in a song here and there
and I'm having a few cold beverages with
my friends.
And all of a sudden,
this mob of people walk in not like
like all together hanging out like a big
group i'm like those guys look familiar
and all of a sudden this group gets
up on stage it was the plain white
tees and they did karaoke to their own
song
So, and I'm sure you,
what's it like in New York city?
I'm sure you've done this before.
Cause you've sang karaoke probably as much
as I had,
which has been a whole lot,
but like you get up and right before
it starts, you're like,
I wrote this one night before we came
on stage.
They actually did.
And then like,
then the whole crowd was just like,
they wanted them to stay up there.
Yeah.
So they did one, two, three, four,
that one.
That's outstanding, dude.
It was awesome.
I'm going to tell you what we got
to experience or what I got to experience
on Brody's cruise.
The last cruise we did last year is
they had bandioki.
So instead of having a karaoke DJ,
they had the little house band that was
playing on different parts of the ship
every night.
And you had a list you could pick
from and you got to sing with the
band.
That was outstanding.
Cause I've never got to sing with an
actual band before.
That was fun.
That was fun.
There was another person there that night.
He was either Drake or Josh from the
show, Drake and Josh.
Got it.
Uh, but I,
that was like way young for me and
I did.
Yeah.
I'm aware of the show.
Couldn't tell you who either one of them
was.
Um,
Meg says she has two go-to songs for
karaoke.
Love to know what those are.
I am so incredibly curious.
My one go-to,
like I have a lot of songs that
I would sing.
Yeah.
I used to be in a band way
back in the day.
Sure.
But my one go-to just to like blow
it out is Purple Rain.
I mean,
I never meant to cause you any trouble.
Well, you started off with the preaching,
right?
Dearly beloved.
Dearly beloved.
We are gathered here today to get to
this thing called life.
Life.
Electric word life.
It means forever.
And that's a mighty long time.
But I'm here to tell you.
And then you go into it and it,
you know,
it allows me to hit high notes.
It allows me to scream.
It allows me to do.
That's what Prince gives you.
He gives you all of it.
Oh, my gosh.
Celine Dion.
Celine Dion.
megan if you don't if you sing that
song and don't pound your chest like
celine you have to you haven't done the
karaoke proud and i want it that way
that is such an eclectic vert like we
used to play kamikaze karaoke oh where
your your friend would put in the song
for you yeah we've done and you don't
know what it is until you get up
on stage
They put that in for me one night.
Wanted Dead or Alive.
Hey, that's a good one.
I want it that way.
Tell me why.
Living on a prayer.
That's another good karaoke song.
Absolutely.
Dude, so.
I will belt out Don't Stop Believin',
but that's so white girl.
Hey,
you can call it white girl if you
want.
I will belt out Don't Stop Believin'.
My brother-in-law's wedding.
The DJ is one of Jennifer's best friends.
They've been knowing each other since they
was kids and whatnot, whose name,
her name is actually also Jennifer.
They have four of them.
Anyway, and they were kind of like,
they were DJing,
but she was like singing along some of
the songs and whatnot and gave me the
mic for Don't Stop Believin'.
And then afterwards it was like,
you need to come and do this with
us whenever we come in.
And I was like, no, I am not.
I was like, there's only every,
every once in a while when I could
actually hit my version of his high note.
Cause I can't hold it for very long.
It's incredibly difficult to do.
Uh, XC lovers,
Bobby McGee by Janice Joplin.
Uh, Tristan sings cocaine by Clapton.
It goes hard today.
Because if you want to get high,
if you want to get high,
high in the sky.
Does it not make?
I'm going to fix that, Megan.
I can add it.
That's my bad.
Well, because this is the reason.
So, Megan,
I got eighty three things working through
my brain.
I have a bunch of playlists that I
made for the gym.
One of them that I made is Pop
Friday.
Whether you like it or not,
we're going to work out to Christina
Aguilera this afternoon.
Christina, Brittany.
I only put the stuff on there that
is stuff you actually want to work out
to.
And there's one song I'm probably not
going to want to do a snatch PR
to, and it's I Want It That Way.
It just doesn't have the right energy.
That's why it's not on there.
It's not just for listening.
And for those of you who don't know,
the first time Corey ever came on this
channel was we picked our top five best
workout songs.
Guilty Pleasures.
Guilty Pleasures.
Well, no, we did Workout Songs first,
then we did Guilty Pleasures.
Yep.
And I think both have been fully
demonetized and are down on the channel
right now.
Because we've played every single one of
them.
Yeah.
Oh, Wayne.
yeah that one wayne said aging myself a
bit used to belt out the most accurate
version of eddie money's two tickets to
paradise every morning driving to school
wish more could have heard it so wayne
used to not wayne excuse me um eddie
eddie money played at the thibodeaux
fireman's fair so i used to live in
thibodeaux forever forever ago played at
the thibodeaux fireman's fair
in probably two thousand and ten or two
thousand twelve somewhere around there and
i will promise you right now that whatever
version of it that wayne was singing in
his car was better than eddie money's
because his voice is gone or at least
it was then well he's dead well yeah
so it's it's really gone now it's one
hundred it's all gone i've seen any money
in concert three times dude
yeah so i'm telling you the last time
we saw him is at the typical fireman's
fair and people it's a it's a fair
you not have to pay to get in
and people were asking for their money
back that's how that was oh okay scott
we need to create a clydesdale playlist on
spotify dude it would be so you could
just pretty much pull whatever gen x
playlist you need to and it would that
would probably work pretty well
You know what's funny is, well,
I did those shows and had guests on.
Annika Greer did top five heavy metal
songs.
I remember that.
John Woolley came on and did top five
guitarists because he is known as a
guitarist.
Those were fun shows to do.
Justin Kotler came on, did top five R&B.
Well, I mean,
that's kind of what he does.
And we made playlists of all of those
and put on my Spotify.
They're all out there and they're all
public.
I think all of mine are public.
Um, you just can't,
unless I'm naming you as a collaborator,
you can't add to them.
But I mean, I mean, I have,
I got one of them that specifically says
Saturday morning coaching and it's,
I put it on when I coach Saturday
morning,
cause that's two classes back to back.
So I need at least two and a
half hours of music and it's more than
that.
It lasts longer than that.
But, um,
Anyway,
we got to go to this even bigger
rabbit hole than your hard drive to fall
off into.
But don't forget,
tomorrow we're going to have Bailey
Maraviglia.
Hopefully we're pronouncing that right.
Bailey, if we're not,
we apologize in advance.
She'll be on tomorrow with us talking
about American Gladiator.

the crossfit space um don't forget to like
