Do you want to be strong and courageous? Would you rather follow Christ than men, so that you can be your best person to the praise, glory, and honor of our Saviour? Are you ready to walk in love, even if this means laying down your life? If you answer yes to some or all of these, then we have a lot in common. Let's get going...
Greetings, and welcome to my new podcast, Going to the End. Today we are gonna jump right into a subject very relevant to the end, and that would be the number six sixty six and what it very likely entails. Before we do, let me just say a few things. First, I'm glad you are listening and giving me a chance to discuss a subject that already comes with a lot of noise, superstition, and academic clutter. Second, I would like to reinforce the idea that our salvation does not depend on how we look at the last days.
Speaker 1:Our salvation depends on whether or not we believe in the name of Jesus, the name that is the true hope of the world. The fact that you're here means a lot to me, and the last thing I wanna do is alienate my core audience, the people who believe the Bible is real. So please keep in mind, especially in later episodes, that if I share an idea that goes against what you have come to believe concerning the last days, It is not an attack on you personally, and it's not bringing your salvation or your righteousness into question. We examine these ideas because we want to endure. And to better endure, it is wise to consider all the angles, especially the ones that we may not have had time for or felt the need to pursue.
Speaker 1:The last thing I want to say before we get started is basically this. There's a reason for Revelation chapter 13 verse 18. I don't think it is there for somebody to come along and say, oh, I'm gonna try to have more understanding than anybody else, and I'm gonna be the guy that figures this out. Nonetheless, someone needs to figure it out. So it would be wise if somebody does have a clue what six six six actually might mean, it would be wise to consider that this guy might be someone you wanna listen to about other parts of the end because, well, maybe he has more clues about other parts of it.
Speaker 1:There's a huge amount of misunderstanding and misconception surrounding the flow of events that are foretold to happen around end time events, and the Lord's people would be well served to receive a more accurate scenario than what many have adopted. From my perspective, the subject has been treated something like a Sunday school lesson. We like to touch upon it quickly and move away from and get back to other things. It's like the people writing those Sunday school lessons are approaching it with an attitude of saying, let's come up with something that sounds good, something that people wanna hear, and then we can move on to other subjects that are more fun and not so scary. When I committed to a closer walk with the Lord over thirty years ago, and I mean really going after God, and I delved into understanding the apocalypse, I must have done something right because it seemed like all hell was breaking loose around me.
Speaker 1:And I burned some major bridges in my life and what people would call a normal life. In the past thirty plus years, there have been times that I wanted to stop even caring about this subject at all. I wanted to walk away forever. But the simple fact is that giving up would have made those burnt bridges be for naught. And I couldn't live with that idea.
Speaker 1:And so I kept pursuing it and pursuing it and pursuing it and often with the desire to prove myself wrong so that I could just drop it and walk away. So if I have a clue about six six six, it's not because I need a pat on the back. If I have any reward, it will be in heaven that I look for it. But if I do have a clue and my idea sounds plausible, then maybe, just maybe, the Lord is giving you an incentive to perhaps listen to other ideas I have about how things are gonna flow as we get closer to the end of the last days. With that being said, let's jump in with both feet.
Speaker 1:And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast. For it is the number of a man, and his number is 600, threescore and six. Revelation chapter 13 verses seventeen and eighteen.
Speaker 1:We have already touched upon why I think this verse is in existence, So let's not go over that again right now. Also, I don't think there's much play in trying to numerically correlate any one man's name with the number six six six. It might be much simpler than that. And besides, the beast will not ultimately be revealed by any formula that converts letters to numbers. And so how would that even help our foresight?
Speaker 1:It really wouldn't help much at all. And I can assure you that nobody wants to be told, hey, man. Your name is six six six, so it happens to be your job to do this beast thing. Good luck with that. This being said, I have a couple of questions and I see no reason to hesitate.
Speaker 1:The first question is this. At what age does a Homo sapien become man enough or woman enough to buy and sell under the influence of the mark? The second question just puts the first question in a different light. When the mark becomes a requirement for conducting business in the world, What will be the age of the child who can officially run a lemonade stand, or walk into the corner store for a candy bar, or get a popsicle from the ice cream truck without a grown up's help? I remember that I was six years old when I first went alone to the store down the street for a loaf of bread and a quart of milk.
Speaker 1:Mom was busy, and I felt so responsible for being able to help. It was awesome. But it had not been so awesome if, in order to do that, I had to first stand in line on my sixth birthday for a medical procedure of receiving a mark. No matter how quick or pain free it may have been, No child is gonna want to stand in that line on their seventh birthday either. Therefore, it stands to reason that the most fitting compromise regarding the age requirement for the mark will be as follows: that on the sixth day of the sixth month following a person's sixth birthday, they will be required to make that choice, at least those who have the mental and physical capacity to make such a life altering choice.
Speaker 1:By the time the mark is given to the world as a life or death choice, I'm afraid that most children in the six to seven age range will think they are ready to accept their rite of passage as a man or a woman in the global financial system and take the mark, just not so much on the birthday. This makes six and a half seem like the ideal age for that rite of passage. And of course they will have seen the consequences of not taking the mark by the time they reach this choice. While it is unrealistic to expect teenagers to wait until they are 18 and officially adults before they can participate in the economy, it is likewise unrealistic to think that any five year old is culpable and able to make an informed decision on what the mark is and what the spiritual cost is for taking it. At least someone in the six to seven age range could at least hear the arguments, both for and against.
Speaker 1:Regardless of how eloquent our arguments are against anyone taking the mark, most in this age group will probably not want to wait before they can join the ranks of the grown ups. So, the number of a man or a woman in the global financial market when that time comes will be six years, six months, and six days. For example, a child born in May will, when the mark is enforced, be expected on November 6, after his or her sixth birthday, to make the choice, which choice we don't need to lay out here in detail today. While a decent society would be expected to postpone the fate of one not choosing the mark until they are older, we can't have any expectation of decency from that society, and the physical cost of denying one's rite of passage into it will probably be much higher than most want to pay. That is already a lot to digest.
Speaker 1:Therefore, instead of following my natural inclination of immediately laying out more scriptures and more ideas about how things are going to flow, it might make more sense to just look at where we are right now in the economy and the global financial markets and the trends that are developing around us. And how do we react? I don't think we want to be reactive. I think we need to be proactive, and we need to know where we stand. The indications all around us on a daily basis pointing to more and more memberships, and this financial club and that financial club, this business and that business.
Speaker 1:You know, I think it was more of a hassle when you had to fill out a form full of personal information in order to become a member and then carry another piece of plastic in order to save money at this store or that store. But nowadays, it's simple. Your name, your email, a phone number, and a little application on your phone, and you're gonna be saving money at the gas pump. Why not? As long as I don't have to carry another card in my wallet or on my key chain.
Speaker 1:Sure. The more money I can save, the better. I'll join all the clubs I possibly care to join. I mean, the church has wolves in sheep's clothing, so why can't I be a Christian in consumers clothing? Consuming technology, it's pretty easy to see how the information we carry around in our credit cards for a tap recognition will be offered as a choice to put under our skin.
Speaker 1:And eventually, membership in this club or that club will consolidate toward a single club. And believe it or not, and perhaps you've already heard of this, there has been at least one company conducting experiments with under the skin implants that allow employees to walk up to vending machines with a little wave of the hand under the scanner, they get something out of those vending machines. I don't think that should alarm us. I think it's just the way things are going and what we can expect from the Church of Mammon. Can we call it that?
Speaker 1:I don't think it's our job to judge someone who conducts these technological experiments and say, oh, you have something under your skin that lets you buy things? You must belong to the beast. You are doomed. Your soul is lost. I think that's wrong at least for now.
Speaker 1:I mean, yeah, I'm not gonna do it myself, but I'm also not gonna condemn somebody who is, especially if they're not doing it in the context of bowing down and pledging allegiance to the leader of the free world when the ultimatum is do it or else be cut off. The passage of time, we're gonna see things and hear things that could alarm us, But in all reality, things are simply progressing towards what the Bible says they are gonna be. We can look at it with alarm and offer reactive condemnation. Or we can look at it and say, awesome. Things are progressing just as we expected, and we will indeed see Jesus soon.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah. Rejoice. In closing this first episode and scratching the surface of what six sixty six probably entails, I can honestly say that I would love to be wrong, which is a huge paradigm shift. I mean, we all like to be right. Sometimes, though, being right is just not easy.
Speaker 1:For that matter, it can be downright difficult. Six sixty six might seem relatively simple and straightforward now. But there is not one easy thing about this idea other than hoping that it leads to some enlightenment for the Lord's people when enlightenment becomes necessary. There is so much more to unpack, so much more proverbial meat to put on the proverbial grill. And if this platform works for sharing those things, there will be more episodes to come.

This earth and humanity have at least one thousand good years left in them, and it's time for us to start behaving accordingly.
