Good morning and welcome

to your morning cereal.

All right, good morning everyone and

welcome to Wednesday.

Welcome to the midweek.

Everybody loves that milestone.

And if you are a pet lover,

you're going to love today's special day.

Today is national dress up your pet day.

You gotta love those small

knife wielding dogs, right?

I actually saw one on a

soccer field just last year.

And yesterday's trivia answer is keratin.

Hair is made of keratin.

And now the essential

vitamins in your morning cereal.

Today's quote is from

birthday boy, Jason Bateman,

who said, quote, "You

learn a lot about yourself

by failing," end quote.

Now the smart list

wonder here, he's right.

Setbacks and mistakes,

they can offer profound

insights into your character,

into your resilience

and your true priorities

in a way that often success cannot.

All right, I know

you've heard enough from me,

so let's pour in the let

them theory by Mel Robbins.

And today we begin the ABC loop

sub-chapter part one.

It's called the ground rules.

And here Robbins introduces the ABC loop

as a practical framework

for navigating conflict without control.

Now the foundation of this loop,

it begins with one

essential truth, quote,

"You cannot change people,

but you can change how

you show up," end quote.

You've heard that one before.

The ground rules are about

emotional restraint and awareness.

Now Robbins explains

that most conflict escalates

because we react before we understand.

Our brains rush to judgment,

filling in intent

that may not even exist.

She writes, quote,

"Your assumptions feel true,

but that doesn't mean that they are

accurate," end quote.

So this chapter, it asks

you to pause just long enough

to question your story.

Instead of assuming someone is careless,

disrespectful, or difficult,

Robbins encourages curiosity.

Why might they be acting this way?

Why don't they know yet?

The ABC loop starts with

discipline, not silence,

but intentional response.

When you slow down your reaction,

you create space for clarity.

Robbins reminds us that, quote,

"When you regulate yourself,

you lower the emotional temperature

of every interaction," end quote.

So this section isn't about letting

people off the hook.

It's about staying grounded,

so conversations don't

spiral into emotional chaos.

You maintain influence,

you maintain dignity

and control over yourself.

All right, here's your hump day takeaway.

Awareness comes before change,

and calm creates clarity.

So on this hump day indeed,

whether it's people or pets,

not everything needs fixing.

Sometimes it just needs

a little bit of space.

All right, now the prize from

the bottom of the cereal box,

the morning cereal

trivia question of the day.

From what continent do bananas originate?

All right, well, you got it

narrowed down to seven probably.

We will see you back here tomorrow

for the answer to that and

more sugar for your soul.

And until then, have a fantastic day.
