Hi. Uh, I'm Kyle, he/him. I'm playing Tingus Pingus, also he/him, which may sound familiar to some new faces because we have a new show airing on Mondays at 7:00 that just started called Fight with Spirit, where you can get the Tingus Pingus deep lore.

Hi everyone, I'm Maeve, she/they pronouns. I play Riven, she/her pronouns. And did you know that basking sharks are the second largest fish? But don't worry, 'cause they only eat krill, and they do this thing called breaching, and scientists still don't know what it means. Breaching is when you have the shark come all the way out, just like a whale does, and flop back in.

Last session, our pirate crew departed, now independent of their captain, now Pirate King, Wilman Fael They set out on a quick mission to gather information and potentially gather a pirate skipping out on payment eventually.
But [00:03:00] heading north to a small town, uh, more of a hamlet really- ... to try and find some information on the artifact, the weapon that the late Captain Scarlet was hunting down. Uh, in their journey they encountered some sharks with cannon arms and everything was fine. And an orca. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, that's right.
Which is not a shark. Shark and orca. Which is not a shark. Listen. It's a mammal. It's true. They hunt sharks. Fun fact. But after dispatching this threat and recovering for a day or two, the party sees on the horizon a, uh, on the shoreline, a large stone structure atop a hill as they are nearing their destination [00:04:00] What would you all like to do?
What time of day is it? Uh, it would be late morning. Okay. Like you, uh, woke up, set sail, uh, back on course, and a couple hours have gone by. Okay.
I think Riven is doing her normal thing where she's on the crow's nest looking for some fun things 'cause now it's her job- ... 'cause of what happened last time. Yeah. I think Drin is at the wheel, but just one hand on the wheel looking very longingly at the crow's nest. Or just looking really cool, nonchalant.
Yeah. Yeah. That, that's a side effect of- Yeah. I'm just seeing just, damn, he's so cool. Yeah. Just... Uh, Tengus is definitely, like, on deck making sure that, like, [00:05:00] uh, the cannons are in place where we definitely need them to be. Oh, actually, did Tybalt build- Yes ... rings? Yeah. Okay, perfect. It did not take, uh, very long.
Perfect. Yeah. So I'll make sure those are all in place and they're functioning, yada, yada. Yeah, that, uh, crate of boxes where, uh, that's kind of slightly behind the wheel, um, that I think probably Aldren, uh, set up. Uh, Cathar is definitely sitting there, legs crossed, cup of tea, just sitting there watching everything.
One of Aldren's- Managing ... ears is just, long ears just twitches every time you move. Just like, "Hmm. Well, everyone's doing their job. Everything seems to be shaping up quite nicely. Um, hmm." Was setting up directly behind me strictly necessary? I don't know. You have the greatest kind of... I can see everything from here.
I can, then I stand up and I look over, and I can see everybody on the deck doing what they need to do. Um, I'm, I, I'm not here to just sit and, I don't [00:06:00] know, watch you do your job. There might be a test later, who knows? I like to keep you on your toes. Uh, you do see everything on the deck. Um, Tybalt actually comes up on deck and is kind of looking out, uh, towards the monastery on the hill and kind of like hands on hips, like kind of lets out a deep breath and sigh.
Tybalt, why are you sighing? Hmm? And he'll turn and he'll actually look very happy. Oh, okay, so it wasn't a, a, a, a bad sigh. It was a, like a, "Oh, yay, land and monastery. Yay."
It's like a second home, really. You've been to this one particularly? Yes. Oh, okay. What, um, could you give us a little bit more information about, um, this particular monastery, like who they follow, you know, what to expect? Uh, he joins you up on the back deck. [00:07:00] Jirin sighs. There are more people in his space.
Um, of course. Uh, it is one of the quite few, uh, that, that follow Olodumare. Oh. And we're hoping they might be able to point us in the right direction or give anything really. No, that's actually kind of wonderful judging on what we dealt with, um, you know, the last, uh, little temple area, you know? Is the monastery a second home or is the island a second home?
Um, above table, this is actually on the coastline, not an island. It's mainland- Oh, okay ... coastline. Got it. Very far north, a little bit colder. Technically in Empire control- Okay ... but they almost never bother, uh, coming this far north. Um, just to kind of recap some other minor details- Mm-hmm ... [00:08:00] we kinda, uh... In the folder of information, the dossier if you will, um, uh, it is, it is Wyewild is the town.
Okay. There is a monastery. It is not very populated. Uh, they are famous for their exceptionally sweet beets. The sweet beets. Yeah. Mm-hmm. It's, it's, it's, it's... Yeah. It's, it's, it's- Is Jirin much of a festival goer? It's, it's, it's- Yes. Beets, yes. It's, it's, it's- Sorry. That's how I remembered. Yeah. Is the monastery

I think that Kithara would be deeply enamored with this new ability that you have. Why don't you try it with her as well? That's a great idea.
She's gonna cast it to you. Hi, Kit Kat. I just smile at you. I know you can hear me. I'm gonna keep talking until you talk back to me, and I'm just gonna talk about whatever I want to, like for the fact that like octopus are really cool. They can camouflage themselves, and they can go into really tight spaces, and that's all they wanna do.
And just like, they can open jars. They're like really smart. I'm pretty sure that they're not from this plane, because they're really cool. I don't know i- what you think about octopus. I, I know sometimes people eat octopus, but- So [00:12:00] Tybalt, um- Yes? That was impressive. Absolutely just ignoring it because she doesn't wanna prove mental willpower.
Um, okay, so Tybalt, they well know you there, and, um, how do you think they feel about octopuses? Uh, at least neutral. Mm. Okay. And why? Why? Uh, no reason at all. Anyways, um- Riven's still going at you, like a full, like, uh, like a full spiel- I think, I think at this point- ... on octopus facts ... Tingus is gonna come over and like, "Oh, hey, what's going on everybody?"
Riven is speaking directly into Kithara's brain. Neat. What are you talking about? No she's not. And then Riven's like- Insight check. Yeah

We're just making pantomimes What are we, what are we doing? What are we doing? Nothing. Clearly. Kithara is going- Shouldn't we be getting ready to like- ... ornery ... you know, carry out the mission that we're supposed to be doing? I was talking to Tybalt about, you know, the, what to expect in this monstor- monastery, and he's excited.
It's a second home for him. Like, he's well-known there. Just wanted to get some information. Cool, great. And if they like octopuses. Why is that important? No reason. Taco. [00:14:00] The food? Any customs to be observed, anything to not- In reality, what shouldn't we do? Yeah, what should we not do? That's, that is, uh, more important Um, I wasn't worried until you s- asked me this question.
It really... To answer your question- What should we not do? No Oh, that's a better question Mm It's pretty, it's pretty fine. It's not- Don't upset the balance of nature. Um- Dinghy to shore Chris, so when Riven gets board of Kit Kat not responding, she's gonna, like, use her spyglass to shore.
What does she, like, see beside... Since there's no port, like, what does she see? Just, like, it's, like, a little town? Like- Yeah, yeah. So there's a small centralized area. It is not very large. Okay. Like, just above table, the non-monastery population's, like, a, a few hundred people. Mm. Um, it also does kind of spread out.
There are [00:17:00] small farms kind of littered on the, uh, hills that kind of roll into the distance. Okay. Uh, as for the... I mean, it's also, once again, it's small. It's not exactly bustling. Okay. You'll see people out and about, like, if you try to really hone in. Um, but... And it looks like there is, there is a, there is a road.
Got it. Okay. So I assume that there's, like, a beach that we can land on, and it's not just, like, cliff face? Uh, it is a rock beach. Okay. It is not cliff face. Um, it does kind of roll. It, there is, like, a hill- Yeah ... but it's not... Yeah, it's not cliff. Yeah, that's... Yeah. Got it. Cool, great. Uh, I guess I'll- Raven's gonna come down from the crow's nest to come over there c- after she sees that, like, there's no port.
Go ahead. I guess I'll go get a- Mm-hmm ... the dinghy ready. Mm-hmm. So there's no port, so... And there's not a [00:18:00] lot of s- people or stuff here, it looks like, and there's, like, one road. Which means we will drop anchor where we're at, and then we will go ahead and take a smaller boat in. Should we pull our flag down?
Like, do they care about pirates? We should probably fly the, the fake ones. Yeah. Okay. Just in case anybody else shows up. We are technically in Empire territory, so- Do you want me to tell someone to do that since you're doing the dinghy? Yeah. Yes. Buddy. Yeah. The one- The one- The one- ... named- The one-named guy

I know it's not an exhilarating place, but, like, there is society here. Right, hence... But also, I still would like to have a sweet treat. I'm bringing my damn tea cakes.

Right, so we're gonna go get this dinghy ready 'cause- Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, you're able to, to prep everything, uh, and row ashore. Yay. All right. Row, row, row the boat. Uh, coming into town, you do in fact see there is a road, uh, with a walking path kind of winding off over to the monastery itself. So tell me, you grew up here?
You went here? You like here? You good? I visited a few times over the years. No, no, I, I, I grew up with K'teln. Oh, okay. Okay. Yeah, we grew up at the- But [00:20:00] you like- But you like this god guy Or this person- Arodamare ... this thing. F- follower. Sure. Sure. That thing. Follower. Right. They're just like, "What?" Anyways. Yeah. If you were staying put, then maybe. Mm-hmm. Okay. Oh, no, definitely not doing that.
Okay. [00:23:00] All right. So- All right ... what exactly are we asking when we get to the monastery? Yeah, I forgot what we're supposed to be doing here. Kithara, you did a lot of- You did a lot of planning- ... reading ... and reading. Yeah, that's, like, your job. Yes, that's what one does when they... Anyways, um, yes, we plan to ask them a little bit more...
Um, I personally plan to ask them about, um, potentially any artifacts, uh, any information regarding this sword we're supposed to find, but also questions about maybe if there are any artifacts relating to Alodimaray, if they know anything in that, in that way, what to look for, compare notes kind of thing.
Um, and kind of go from there. Yeah. So we need to talk to people. We- I mean, we. We, the royal we. The royal we. But, like, specific people- Yes ... or just, like, anyone? Well, we're probably going to try and talk to people within the monastery, probably some sort of a, a high priest, priestess of some [00:24:00] sort. You know, there is ranking to this.
I'm good at talking to... I don't understand why you guys don't think I'm good at talking to people. People like me. No one said that they didn't like you. No one said that you were bad at talking. It's just some things need a little bit of some tact and a little bit of nuance and- I'm good at that sometimes
finesse. Finesse. When I'm trying to be good at that, I can do it. Mm-hmm. I just think it takes too much effort to do it every single day. So I can do that. In this instance, Kithara has done an intense amount of research. Yeah, but she's- And I think that it would be best- ... kind of snooty and I don't think a lot of people like that.
I think that it would be- You would be surprised in organized religion ... not to be offensive. I- ... best ... like your snootiness. It's not really organized, but- Yeah, and that kind of- I think that given that Kithara has the information, it would be best if she asked the questions, and she will know what to ask. Oh, yeah.
I mean, I wasn't gonna ask any questions. I just felt like I had to be quiet 'cause you guys were saying that I'm not good at talking to [00:25:00] people. No one said that. He said it. I never said that. That's- You said maybe. That's a... Which is a non-committal answer
Oh, I'm sorry. He, he, he seems very distracted. He's been, like, staring at Cathara. All right. Well, let's go to this- What? ... church. I w- I ... Never mind. It's not important. E- ever since you said what you were going to ask them about, he's been distracted. Okay What, what, I'm sorry, Riven, what? This is a good question I don't know about.
It's fine Is it about the bowl? I just would like- No ... to be included on conversations. I'm pretty good at persuading people and getting people to believe me, and I just feel like sometimes you guys don't utilize me in that way because I talk too much. I think there's a time and a place, and we like to figure out when that time and a place is.
Um- You [00:26:00] know what? That skill will probably come in a lot more use when we're trying to track down that guy who skipped out on his, his, uh, loan. You're very good at getting information- Okay ... out of c- out of civilians. That's fair. Yeah. Yeah, this we have, like, a, a guided train of thought that we need to follow, and Kathara has that information.
Like a cat with a mouse. I just start dribbling my ball fiercely. Oh, I get it, 'cause you're a cat. Stop it. Uh, as you approach, you see- Does Tybalt react to the ball being dribbled? No. He's, uh, he's sophisticated. It's... Wow. Something special just for me. Thanks. Have a little whimsy, my guys. Whimsy. Whimsy. Um, as you approach you see a little bit further beyond the monastery off to the side there is a large barn and stable, [00:27:00] uh, featuring a few donkeys.
Uh, and there are a large number of garden plots. Is there anything growing in them? Yeah. Yes. Is it, do they look like- The beets ... fruited vegetable, vegetables or fruits or like- It's beets. Is it the beets? Or is it just the beets? There are beets, but it's more than beets. Okay. Yeah. Is it like normal, like consumable- Potatoes, carrots, beets
got it, got it, got it. Yeah. Like, uh, yeah. Okay. Sustenance garden. Yeah. Yeah. Um, she's gonna snag a beet. Okay. Okay. Where, where is it? Uh, well there is, uh, I should mention maybe that there are a couple people Okay, cool ... in the garden. Just So, so you can do that- Okay ... but I just wanted to give, not have it be a surprise.
Um- Yeah. Yeah ... I'm gonna go up to the beets and- Yeah, to be fair, that'd be the first pirate-y thing that we've ever done ... look to the guy. I'm like, "Can I have [00:28:00] a beet?"
Uh, yes Thank you That's fine He walks back over I'm glad you asked Well, he was there. I wasn't just gonna take it when he's there. That's not very smart No, but it'd be very piratey Don't tell her that

And you continue onward. Uh, there is a large courtyard to this monastery. Uh, yeah, gesture off camera. It's... Yeah. What are we gesturing to? Who knows? I don't know. Secrets. Secrets. Secrets. Uh, there's a large courtyard with several trees, um, and both a, uh, chapel to one side, more of a dormitory to another. Uh, it, it is a decently sized- Space[00:29:00]
place. Yeah. Yeah. Campus. Yeah. Campus. Sure, campus works. Oh, my God. College. Well, I mean, it's also just a generic term for- That, that- ... a group of buildings Uh- Sure. And walking in, you do hear a Tybalt, uh, and a dwarven woman, uh, approaches. And Tybalt will kind of quicken step slightly, uh- ... and bend down, squat real low, uh, to give her a hug.
Uh, and a few other people have kind of, like, begun seeing you all sort of enter. Uh, not a, not a large gawking crowd or anything. Like, four, four people are in this courtyard. Okay. Uh, they're dressed, um, not particularly religiously, if that makes sense. They're not in, like, monk's robes. They're in more, like, [00:30:00] chore clothes.

Uh Oh, Tibble, would you like to introduce us to your friend here? Yes, this is Zuri, one of the, uh, head- heads of this monastery. Hi, Zuri. Hello, pleasure to meet you. Weren't expecting guests. Don't get a lot in this, you know, corner of the world. Why? It's so beautiful here. Well- You got some nice beets. Ah, excellent.
We do. Yes, um, Kithara Faust, uh, one of the co-captains of, um, uh, this, um, fr- The Fromage. Um, yes, The Fromage. Um, we're kind of here on, um, a bit of an informational, um, quest. Um, have some- we have, uh, well, we came across, um, a bit of like a [00:31:00] temple ruin, uh, for Alodamaré, um, that led us to some interesting findings in a journal, and was wondering if I could sit down with you or others who, um, who head this particular monastery to, um, potentially see what information you might have, um, regarding, um, ancient relics.
Or possibly if you have, like, a historian- Yes ... might be, might also be helpful. A library. Scrolls. Uh, we do. Also, that sounds very interesting. That is very odd, very interesting. Mm-hmm. Excellent. Love a little bit of excitement. Who doesn't love artifacts and history? Right. I know. It's fun. I'm sure we can get to all of that.
