DOUBLE SHABBOS, DOUBLE REDEMPTION

When Israel will keep two Sabbaths properly, they will immediately be redeemed.
(Talmud, Shabbos 118b)

Everything relating to Shabbos is double.
(Midrash Tehillim 92:2; Yalkut Shimoni, Exodus 16:29, sec. 261)

Moshiach relates to doubling because the Final Redemption fuses the physical and the spiritual, the body and the soul.

It is not enough just to perfect ourselves in body and in soul; rather, we must fuse these two approaches by revealing the essence of our soul, our G-dly core. When we are truly in touch with our G-dly core, we won’t do the right thing because we understand or because we appreciate what we will accomplish. Instead, we simply must do so because this is who we are.
