Good morning. In this portion, we witness Pharaoh's struggle against the plagues, particularly the frogs, which he finds unbearable. He pleads with Moses to pray for relief, illustrating how timing holds great significance in demonstrating God's power. Moses’ response shows his confidence in God's will, as he prays for the frogs to leave by the following day. When the frogs are indeed removed, the stench of their decay fills the land, yet Pharaoh’s heart hardens again, revealing his stubbornness.
The narrative shifts to the third plague of lice, which the Egyptian magicians cannot replicate, leading them to acknowledge it as the finger of God. Yet still, Pharaoh refuses to relent, showcasing the limits of human power against divine will. As God sends further plagues, He ensures the Israelites in Goshen are unharmed, emphasizing His control over all creation.
Each event reinforces the lesson that true power lies with God, and that acknowledgment of His authority is essential. This podcast was produced and sponsored by Daniel Aharonoff.
