Blessed Are the Canceled is a podcast about how being rejected, mocked, and discarded can become a pathway into the presence of God. Through personal stories, rich theology, and cultural reflection, Brenna Blain and Josh Butler explore themes like shame, outrage, betrayal, suffering, forgiveness, resilience, and spiritual inheritance. Together, they ask what it looks like to encounter God where pain isn’t wasted, exile becomes formation, and the places you feel most abandoned may become the places of your deepest encounter with God.
Okay. What is it actually like to be canceled, or at least feel like you were? We have been working on something behind the scenes for a while now, and we're really excited to finally share it with you all.
Josh:Totally. We are starting a podcast. It's called Blessed Are the Canceled. It's all about exploring how being rejected, mocked, and discarded can actually become a pathway into the presence of God.
Brenna:It's about those seasons where things fall apart, when relationships get really complicated, or you find yourself on the outside looking in.
Josh:Yeah. I honestly found myself in a season like that a while back when we met and really wrestling with the question of like, dude, was I wrong or was I wronged? And honestly, not really knowing the answer.
Brenna:So we're exploring those kinds of questions, like how God meets us right there in the middle of it all.
Josh:Totally. First episode drops in two weeks, so we would love for you to follow along.
