Hello and welcome to WORDTheatre Weekly: The Short Story Podcast where great authors and great actors meet! I’m your host, Cedering Fox, WORDTheatre's Founder & Artistic Director.
This week, we're back to sharing the wonderful performances from our most recent UK show,WORDTheatreUK Presents Selections from the Best British Short Stories anthology, 2010-2024. Next up is "Doctors" by Anneliese Mackintosh, which was performed by actor Tallulah Greive.
Anneliese is an English writer whose fiction has been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Scotland, and published in numerous UK and US newspapers, magazines and anthologies. Her debut short story collection, "Any Other Mouth" won the Green Carnation Prize, was shortlisted for the Saltire Society’s First Book Award, included in the Best Short Story Collection category for the 2015 Saboteur Awards and Edge Hill Short Story Prize. It was also longlisted for the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award. She has authored two novels, "So Happy it Hurts," which was shortlisted for a DIVA Rising Star Award, and "Bright and Beautiful Objects."

Tallulah Greive is an Australian-born Scottish actress. You may know her from her critically acclaimed performance in the film "Our Ladies," which earned her a spot on the BIFA Breakout Performance Longlist, Amazon Studio's "Cinderella," or the television series "Boarders."
