Full show transcript:

So I'm scrolling Netflix and I see that you can play some games on there. And I thought, uh, you know what'd be a fun game for everybody? Netflix boggle. Oh boy. And you play with your phone and uh and then you compete uh with all the stuff on the screen.

So all the letters are on the screen and you swipe and whatever. And it's very exciting. It's a good time, and it adds up all your points for you and stuff. Did you like it? Did you have a good time? No. No, why?

Because boggle is no fun when the person you're playing with. You got 32 words at one point, and I got you want to take a guess? 11. Well, what's the problem? I'm not good at it. Okay. So don't play a game because you're not good at it.

Yeah, why would I want to play a game that I continuously lose? Yeah. You know what you do is you stay up late at night practicing. And then the next day you smoke 'em. That's what you do. Yes. That's

right. If I'm not good at it and I'm frustrated, I will stay up and train. I don't care enough about Boggle to do that. I'll

just play every now and then and lose, and then be like, okay, well, you got your boggle. It's interesting because you're such a spelling person and you you're you're well read. You read quick. So I'm just curious why that game is a struggle for you. I don't know. Because I'm kind of a slow reader. I don't use my finger to read, but I'm slower. And I don't often like finish a whole book. You

don't get your finger to read. Right. You know, like I'm not like follow along. Right. I don't like captions on TV, but you do. I

love captions. Because then you you feel like you can hear better or something. Now I just feel like I'm catching everything. I feel like feel like it's in the way. I feel like I'm missing stuff. It's

in the way. And here's the other thing I don't like about captions, just real quick, is that like when uh like you you were just watching the second part of Wicked, and uh and in the scene where she said, like for the first time, I feel wicked. Yeah, there's a there's a really emphatic pregnant pause in her delivery. But where she says, I feel wicked. Uh-huh.

The the subtitles, the whole sentence is there. And it ruins the effect. I don't think it ruins it. That

is one of the biggest reasons I have found that I don't like it. Because I can read quicker than the actors are delivering the lines. Well, yeah. And it distracts from the emotion of the acting. Okay.

So that is a new reason, in addition to like covering too much of the screen. I go, and now I know too much ahead of time. I don't like that. Okay, but back to boggle. Yes.

I don't know why I hate it. I don't know why I'm not gonna do it. It just feels like it would be something you like. I mean, yeah, I guess I just it's hard for me. I

can only pick three the three-letter words, and then I don't get any point, like hardly any points because everybody's got those words. And then I just furiously look. I don't know if it's the time constraint that stresses me out. You

get test anxiety about boggle. Yes. Settle down. Relax, man. I don't know how. Relax. No. All right. Well,

anyway. Should we start today's show? Let's do it. And I'm just over here trying to figure out if I remember how to push all the buttons. I can't remember how to do any of this. I think you said to me at one point on Saturday. What

day is it? Yeah. I I had no idea. We were gone for five days. Yeah. We did everything and nothing all at the same time. Do

you know what I mean? Well, you're saying like just through the weekend or through our five days off. There are our five days off. It was like a lot of activity, and then like really like kind of just hanging out. So it was a lot of cool, exciting, fun things. Yeah. And

then like spells of major downtime. Nothingness. But also still pretty great. Yeah. The

nothingness was still pretty great. Yeah. It was it was busy and also not busy. Correct. It

was action-packed, but also pretty mellow. Yeah. It's over. And then yeah. And listen, you get major depression. You

have a thing where you like to clock in for work pretty early. I don't like it. Let's be clear. Okay, maybe it's just a thing that happens. My brain just clocks in and says, hey girl. So it happens when you wake up on Sunday morning. And you go, oh, it's work again. And I go, enjoy Sunday. Like we got a whole day here. My

brain says, hey girl. Yeah, it's back to it. Yeah. Yeah. I

don't like it. It's it's I think certainly magnified when it happens to you after five days off. Yeah. I

think it's I think that's worse. And and I honestly, of day of all days. I I got a little because it's smoky today. Yeah. And I think that smoke moving in ended up in the bedroom through the air conditioning thing. Yeah.

And uh so I am feeling it in my sinuses in my throat today. Uh and I went, man, and I'm tired of all the days to want to like really call in sick. Today was that day where I was like, man, I just but then I went, I just had five days off. You

can't do that. And I got a lot of stuff going on. And you know what's going on today? What? We're giving away tickets to Taylor. Oh, that's right. We got some fun stuff today. Which

is awesome. I'm not trying to complain. I'm happy that I have a job. I'm happy to have a job that I love. Yeah.

I'm lucky that I get to hang out with you. Like, this is fun. Why am I complaining? Because

it's six o'clock in the morning. Yeah, that's true. Right. Uh, but Taylorville, uh, what's the date for that show? August 14th. 14th at the Colonial Theater in Idaho Falls, and uh, it is the unofficial Taylor Swift Tribute. Yes.

Uh, and that show is gonna be awesome, and we've got free tickets all this week. I I couldn't miss the opportunity to make some people smile with tickets to Taylorville. It's

gonna be awesome. Yeah. So we got that coming up. Right, we're gonna play a new game later on this morning. And the game is called Is It Taylor or Is It Made Up? For

your chance to win tickets. Yeah. So we'll explain that later on. But I couldn't. I when that popped in my head and I went, no way. Gotta give away those tickets. I can't call in sick. I'll work through the You're a Trooper. Thank you. Bud for noticing. You're real trooper. All

right. Well, hey, we're here. We're back. It's Monday. We're back in the studio after a long five days off. We'll tell you about it as we get through the show. Uh,

but thanks for hanging out. We'll do some good news next. All right, here's some good news. And I didn't know uh that this news was gonna be in my good news file until I opened it this morning and I went, no way. It's a lot of people living in California near Big Bear Valley. Oh,

I was just gonna ask you for an update. Yep, they know about Jackie, uh, who is a wild bald eagle whose nest camera has attracted a lot of people watching as uh baby eaglets are uh laid as eggs hatch and then grow into juveniles and uh fledge the nest. Uh it's kind of it's quite the thing to watch. It is quite the thing to watch. I love it. Yeah,

it is pretty great. Wildlife experts and eagle fans alike were shocked and saddened, and we told you about this story uh last week, maybe um when we were here or the week week before. It's all a blur. Uh, but Jackie was involved in a territorial battle with two uh sub-adult eagles, and that attack left her with some pretty serious injuries, severe anemia, and kidney inflammation. Oh no, yeah. So Jackie's outlook actually while we were gone appeared pretty grim. Seriously.

Yeah, I didn't realize the extent of this when she was rushed to the OHI Raptor Center for emergency care. News of her condition spread, it reached the team at Calm Zoo in Bakersfield, and at that zoo, they have another bald eagle named Spirit, who has overcome significant wing and eye injuries of her own. And when veterinarians determined that Jackie urgently needed a blood transfusion, where do you get another eagle? That's

insane. Calm zoo acted immediately, and Spirit, or was that the yeah, that's the eagle's name, Spirit, uh, became a life-saving donor providing blood to help stabilize Jackie in her first ever transfusion donation, and the procedure has given Jackie a much needed boost. She's more alert now, she is eating on her own and continuing her recovery, which is just fantastic. Jackie. Yeah, so Jackie's on the mend. Okay, thanks to a blood transfusion from Spirit. How's Shadow doing? Where

is Shadow? Um, I have this is total of the information that I have right now. But I will be looking into it. Okay. Okay.

The hard part is that to like research this stuff, I have to go to uh the internet that we have to go to their Facebook page, and I have to go to uh several different places. You just Google it and then it pulls up the information. Let

me tell you how to do it. I like to get it. Listen, I like to get it directly from the friends of Big Bear Valley. So I go directly to the friends of Big Bear Valley uh to get to get my news. All of your news, yeah. Or just eagle news. Oh, apparently people are really sad because all three of the eagles are hanging out in the nest crying out, trying to find Jackie. Really?

They're all in the nest. Oh no. She'll be back soon, guys. Somebody

needs to tell them. Hey guys, she'll be back soon. Yeah. And those subadults returned to the area again. They've been hanging out in a lot of the trees. They're

still around. There's a lot going on out there in nature. Yeah. Nature is a beast. I'll

tell you what. Like they posted a habitat update 17 hours ago. It's got a lot of text in here. I mean, it's gonna take me time to read through this. Okay. So

it does say Dr. Sharp feels that it's a bit early for the subadult to be looking for nesting territory. These subadults are still around, and this was posted 17 hours ago. These

subadults are nothing but trouble. That's what I'm saying. They're trying to take over this territory. They're trying to become the new uh the new Jackie. They want to be the celebrity. celebrities. They

do. They're trying to trying to steal that star starlight. Whatever that star. What's it called? Spotlight? Spotlight.

It's good news. Do you want to talk about how amazing I am at being your co-pilot? Uh come on. Come on. I

mean, listen, you're better than not having a copilot. Hey. That's good. I'll

take that. I mean, listen to me right now. I make great conversation. I pick the very best songs. I point out some really cool sightseeing things along the way. I'm always good at providing the best snacks. Always know the best times to stop for a break. What more could you ask for? Proper navigation. Top

of the list, co-pilot. Hey, what exit am I taking? Uh 209. Uh-huh.

We're at like 300 something. That's I'm not driving another hundred miles. The

exit's gotta be coming up. No, it's no 209. 209. Turns out it was 295. And

I about passed it. Exit 295 takes you to which highway? I don't know. 209. I

don't know how to read that too much. Take the 295. Exit 295 to the 209. It's

209. You can't read that stuff. They make it too complicated. It's too hard. Reading maps is too hard. I'm good at so many other things. You can't be the copilot And then And then, hey, we need to grab some supplies. We should find like a target. Okay.

I passed one on the way in. I know vaguely where it is, but help me get back there. Oh, yeah, sure. Got it. Why am I driving seven miles south? To

a Walmart. That one is not my fault. Listen to me. I I typed in Target. Yeah. And it I just clicked on the closest one. Yeah. And it was a sponsored one. Walmart

ad. That's not my fault. So then I turned around. I'm like on a Walmart. No.

I turned around and I drove seven miles back to where I knew the target was to find it where I thought it was. Well, then if you knew where it was, why did you have me navigate? Well, that's your problem, not mine. Because

I put the trust in you. Well, that's right. And when we got to the stop sign and it said, turn left. And I went, left. That's not how you get out of this parking lot. But

I'll listen to the map and then seven miles south. You know better. Listen to me. I knew better. I should have turned right and went. I'm not going that way. Failed you navigating before. Yeah, this is not new. This is not new. What's that old saying? Fool me once. Yeah. Yeah.

What's the definition of insanity? Trying the same thing over and over and over and expecting a different result. This time I'll get it. Yeah, okay. Okay.

So then at one point I just put in the address in my phone and you went, What? You don't like how I'm navigating? That's fine. Listen to me. I

can read them. I don't enjoy navigating. But the rest of the co pilot duties you do in the world. So good, right? I do such a good job at them. Yeah. You want a snack? I got you. You're pretty good at unwrapping uh uh like a burrito and handing that to me. That's

pretty good. I know. You dress it down so I can take a couple of bites. It's nice. I know. You're pretty good at that. I'm a pretty good co-pilot. Oh, is your drink too hot? Let

me blow on it for you. No. No. That is not good co-pilot etiquette. Why?

You don't blow on somebody else's drink. You know this. You learn this as a kid. Come

on, this is old lesson. Oh, you should drink too cold. Let me take a sip of it for you. Just to test it out. I'm

a good co-pilot. You do take unwhat's the word I want. I don't know. Unpermissioned. That's

not the word. What is it? I don't know. Let's just wait in silence until you can figure it out. I'm not gonna figure it out. You take you take sips of drinks without asking. You

take bites of foods without asking, you just grab it, and then you go, Oh, can I have this? You already did. But I am so fun. Okay, okay, okay. We went to go see Jimmy Eat World and Motion City Soundtrack. Yes.

And it was awesome. It was a great show. Fantastic.

We saw them. The first time I saw them was in what did we determine? 2001? The

first time you saw Jimmy World. Yeah. Uh okay. I think that's right. It was right after they released their album. Yeah. I

saw them in 2001 as well. Different. We were not together. That's correct. Okay. You don't have to look up the date. It's not important. You're gonna get it's okay too. Go

ahead. It was a great show. Here's what I've noticed about bands that we have loved for years and years and years. We always seem to kind of do a determination of whether or not their voices have changed. Yeah. Because

some bands lose it. Yeah, they do. Yeah. Jimmy, awesome. Amazing. Top notch. 10

out of 10. Here's what else I've noticed. So I've noticed that like bands are also aging. Bands that we love are also aging. You start to notice they they move a little bit differently than they ever did before. Okay,

that's fair. And then they have an encore. Or as I like to call it, peekaboo. But I think that they're also tired. Yeah. And so they go away, and it used to be much longer. And then you'd have to stand there chanting encore. One more song. One more song. Yeah.

And then they'd come out. And that was probably like a 10 to 15 minute wait. And now it's like they barely exit the stage. It's called peekaboo. And then they're like, and we're back. Hey, peekaboo. Because guess what? They're also like, hey guys, it's already 10 o'clock. We

want to go to bed. Jimmy World played like six songs in their encore. So that was awesome. It was like a whole third act of the show. Yeah, it was. It was huge. It was super cool. And it was very cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Great show. And uh you mentioned aging people. Yes.

When the front man of one of the bands, Motion City soundtrack, can no longer play guitar because he has a back injury and he has to use a cane. He sounded great. His voice was very, very on point. But he couldn't like move around the stage like he could when he was young, and he wasn't doctors. Well, like, you probably shouldn't hold the guitar up for hours. You it's probably a bad idea. Yeah

for your back. So he for the past several years has been the singer, not the guitar, the guitar player in the band. Uh, which is it's an interesting thing as an artist, I bet to be like, yeah, but I wrote these songs and I play the guitar, and they're like, yeah, but you can't. I

know. And then it was like he almost didn't know what to do with himself. Yeah, he's like, I guess I'll kind of do it. of

do some dance moves. Yeah. You know. Because

we're old. It's pretty good. It was uh it was a great show. It

was a fantastic show. That was the third time now that we've seen the band. The first time you saw them was in 01. I looked it up. Uh, first time I saw him was May 3rd, 2002. Josh.

Yeah. That was the day after my birthday. I know, isn't that wild? Did

you even know? No, because I didn't know you yet. I wouldn't meet you for another year and uh four months. Almost to the day. I know. A

year and four months almost to the day. Anyway. Oh, what I could have told myself if I could go back in time. Exactly at that show. I would have been like, yeah, you can have a really good time at this show right now. Anyway.

That was a good show. It was a great show. And there was I guess they had um two shows, and the night before, there had been some lightning, and so everybody had to be evacuated for about 30 minutes. Can you even imagine? I no evacuating everybody and then doing the whole procedure over to get everybody to get back to it. back

in It's like 3,000 people You gotta send them all to their cars For 30 minutes And then get everybody back into the into the amphitheater 30 minutes later when the lightning went away. Oh my oh my. Made for a great video, though. That

one you showed me where they were singing the angels song. Mm-hmm. And the light lightning was going on. Holy smokes, that was a cool video. Anyway. That

was a great joke. Yeah, Jimmy World's a great band. If you ever get a chance to see them, they they do have more songs than just the middle. Better,

I might I might add. I don't even sing along to the middle. You know why? Because it's arguably one of their worst songs. Is

that it? It's not worse. It's their most placed. They're most popular, but it is they have a million better songs. I know that. I agree. I

didn't see it. There are a lot of bands where I go like go like the most popular song is not necessarily the best one. And I go, there's so many better songs. You

know that you're a true fan when you know stuff from the band before their popular album. I would agree. And I did that. Right.

Because you're also a gatekeeper of music. And you look around at the crowd at a concert and see who's singing the old school stuff. And

who's only singing the popular stuff? And you judge them. I absolutely do. I

go, Oh, you're gonna stand up and sing the middle now when you've sat for the whole time. Get on out of here. You're not a real fan. You're not a real fan. Yeah, but hey, thanks for spending all that money on merch to say you were at the show. Yeah.

Poser. That's how it goes hanging out with you at a show. You're like, oh, they're not a true fan. They don't know. But then when I've gone to shows with you of bands that you like, and I'm like waiting for the one song that I know. You're

like, oh, when are they gonna play the one I like? Don't judge me. It's different. Also, look at my new shirt. I

just got it at the merch booth. Have you ever been on a road trip and then you have leftover food that you don't want to throw away, but you don't necessarily know what to do with it. Have I ever? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I have. Uh,

just recently. And then you know what you can do is you can make a pit stop for supplies. Yeah, you can. Because

we had a cooler, yeah, and we had ice, and I said, Oh, I want to save this half a sandwich. Right. So I'm gonna carry it around in my styrofoam box for a couple hours. Yeah. No,

that's not it. And then I gotta put it in the cooler somehow, someway. Right, but it's too big. So we need we need something smaller. You know what would be convenient. Oh,

a ziploc bag. Look at all these stores we could stop. Right. So let's stop and get some Ziploc bags. Great

idea. And then we get to the truck, and you realize you bought the worst bags of all time. Because they aren't Ziploc at all. They

were store name brand, fold top sandwich bags. Fold top? Why do they even make those anymore? Nobody likes the fold top. Why do they still make those? Why? Why

do they still make those? I couldn't tell you. No. You can't. I

I honestly can't tell you. It wasn't even Ziploc brand. That was half the problem. What was the other half? You didn't really read the label. That

was the other half. Because we clearly said on the box, fold top. Because before you even took one out, you went, oh man, I got the fold top ones. So in order to keep the sandwich from getting waterlogged, you used two. Three. You used three. You put it in three different times. So you put it in one and then turn it and put it in one and turned it and put it in one. Yep.

You had to be careful. I don't want that sandwich to get wet. You have to really make sure that it's sealed. And

if you don't have a ziplock to seal it, you do what you gotta do. Yeah, we got home and you threw the sandwich away. So okay, to be fair. No, hold on. What? To be fair, what? You looked at the sandwich when you were emptying the cooler and went, I don't know what it's like. Yeah, because I got that sandwich on Wednesday when we met my friend. Shout

out to Tito. Okay. We met him for lunch on Wednesday. Yeah. And then we arrived home on Friday. Yeah.

That sandwich had been Two days. to the moon and back. No.

It was two days in a cooler in three full top sandwich bags. That sandwich was just fine. But you're like, nah. Nah, I'm not gonna eat that. No.

Because you're a you're a next day leftover, end of leftover kind of lady. And since you didn't eat it on Thursday. It was a veggie sandwich, too. So

it still would have been good. I don't know what your problem was. I don't either. I think I just got grossed out by it. It was kind of squished. Not

really. It was on top of the cooler. It didn't even get near the watery part. That

sandwich was in good shape. Why didn't you eat it then? I didn't want it. It wasn't my sandwich. We carried that. We carried that sandwich all over Utah. Yeah,

I know. Just for you to throw it away. Had to go make an extra stop, get the wrong bags, have a whole adventure, and you got home like, eh, never mind. I should have taken some. You

know how people travel with like a gnome or something? Sure. We should have taken a picture with the sandwich. Like

could have been our mascot. Carrying this sandwich still. Ah, still carrying this sandwich. And then we had leftover pizza. Yeah. And I said, what are we going to do with this? There's

no way we're gonna fit this pizza in these tiny little ziploc bags. Nope. So we did what we had to do. Well we ate it. Yeah. And

it was good. Also, most hotels nowadays you can get with a microwave. If you need to heat up some pizza, they don't give you paper plates or paper towels. No,

what are you supposed to do? Just use one of the bath towels or the little washcloth. Gross. Gross. No.

What did we end up doing? Oh, you go to the lobby. Yeah, you went to the desk. No, I went down to the lobby where they serve like all day coffee. And they had a stack of napkins. So

I just grabbed some napkins from there. Good thinking, Josh. Yeah. You

saved the day. Yeah. Or you know what most people do? They dirty up the microwave. No, gross. Because I don't know where that microwave has been. In that room. I

don't want. I don't know the last time it's been cleaned. I don't know what's been in there before. Mm-mm. I'm

not putting my pizza on that. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. Well, I'm glad we finished at least one leftover. That was good. You know that when I went to New York for the first time. Yes,

I do know this. You went to Olive Garden for dinner and then you didn't have a fridge in your room, so you just hung it out the window. Because it was March, so it was still colder than inside the room. Yeah. I think we probably threw away those leftovers too. Guaranteed. Did you know you can't just park somewhere for as long as you want in Utah? I mean, you know that you can't do that in downtown Idaho Falls. Yes. Uh, because you get tickets sometimes. Yeah, I do uh for parking. Yeah. Uh, you know. I got a ticket recently. Yeah.

Uh how much was your ticket? Like 20. 20. Yeah.

Do you have mine? I brought yours. Oh, good. Because Oh, good. Because we have to pay it like right now. I know. Because

otherwise it like doubles. When's Thursday? You got the stick it on Thursday. I

think we gotta pay it like today. Yeah. You parked for two hours. You paid for two hours. Yes. And then I think we parked at like 6 30. Yeah.

And we didn't leave on time. And I didn't even see the ticket on the window until the next morning. And I'm wondering if they followed me to put that ticket on there. They

would not have done that. I don't know. It's weird. Because it expired at like uh what? What time did it expire? 8

32. Is when that's when you got the ticket. Right. But I think I I think it was like 8 20 or something that I had to like uh to renew my parking. So it was only like 12 minutes past when I was like, and this was a Thursday night. They got somebody out there, and I'm gonna tell you that parking lot was pretty empty. Empty. Like it was literally like it wasn't like I was taking up a lot of spots. There

was that parking lot was like me and two other cars. So, okay, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. We have until tomorrow to pay it. It is $61.50 if paid within five days. Yeah.

It is $96.50 if paid after five days. So you have to Isn't that crazy? That's crazy. I'm Paying $90 for an empty parking lot. I

don't want to pay $60. I don't either. Like, what do what do I can I call these guys? And go, guys, come on. I

don't know. You gotta be kidding me. Doubtful, Josh. I

don't think they're gonna let you reason with them. Oh, Man, and whose job is it on a Thursday night? You go, oh that one, that one truck is in that parking lot for longer than the two hours it made. paid for. Are

they just sitting Watching. That's crazy. Okay, you know when we parked there. Yeah.

It was right across the street from the restaurant we were going to. And I said, I don't know if this is somewhere that we could park. And then we had met some friends there at dinner. And then when we who were from the town. Right.

And when we went to left, they were like, Where'd you guys park? We parked in the city. I parked right here. And I was like, why'd you park in the parking garage? You

know why they parked in the parking garage because you pay like five dollars. I know. I didn't know this town. I don't know anything about this town. Ogden. Get

out of here with your parking ticket. Oh man. Now I gotta deal with that. And you have to get you have to get take care of it before tomorrow. I

know. Otherwise, you have to pay $96. I don't want to pay that. I

don't want to pay that too much. You have to. I don't want to. I know I do, but I don't want to. No, I know. I don't want to either. You should. It's

crazy. You should have parked in the parking car. I'm gonna reach out to him. They have a phone number on there and call somebody. What are you gonna say? I'm gonna say, hey, listen, I'm from out of town. Cut

a guy some slack. Because it's from parking services. The phone number is a Washington phone number. They're not gonna do they have somebody working that on a Thursday night. That

guy needs a hobby. Like, did you get a notification? Like uh like a bing, uh someone's overparked. Come on now. It's

absurd. Like I would get it if it was a busy, like, you know, time of the day, but I was one of four cars in the whole town. Ogden. in Okay. What?

It was our 21st wedding anniversary. And I said, Hey, wouldn't it be fun? We knew we had pl we knew we had tickets to see Jimmy World. That's right. And I said, Wouldn't it be fun if while we're in Utah, I planned something to do, and you plan something to do. Yeah, that's right. And you planned something to do. Right. And

I didn't plan something to do. That's right. Yeah, I noticed. That

was a sneaky way of getting you to plan a date. Yeah, well. So I did. He

did. Well, listen, we were talking about it before we left. We were we were talking about it uh on the show, and I started getting some text messages from uh folks who like ideas of things to do. Yeah. And our boss was one of the people who sent me a text and he said, Do they have indoor skydiving in in Salt Lake? Like, that is it's really fun. They

had one I did it in Seattle, it was really cool. And so I was like, uh let me look into that. And so that's when I found indoor skydiving is a thing uh in Ogden. And

that's how we ended up in Ogden. Uh and uh it was uh super, super cool. It was awesome. I

loved it so much. I kind of wish I had a better form fitting uh flight suit. Yours was the same size as mine, and I was bagging. And you were like where it looked like you were wearing your dad's clothes. At one point in the skydiving tube, yeah, it came over my hand. I didn't have any. You

just had a flappy sleeve, which was hilarious. It's in the video. I'm gonna try to edit that video and get some clips together. Because I think it's kind of fun. It is so funny. Um

Because it's like 10 minutes long, and nobody wants to watch 10 minutes of us. No, no. So I'm just gonna edit it down. It was a little pricey. It

was indeed a little bit pricey. And you only got, let's see, we got three 60 seconds. Yeah, you're you're you're not in there a long time. No, but it was enough. I'll tell you that I was having such a good time, I couldn't even keep my mouth shut because I was just smiling and laughing so much. Yeah. And then my my whole mouth was going, I know. and

then I would come out and I'd go, Yeah. It's dry. Yeah. Uh it was super, super cool though. My goggles kept trying to fly off, and so I'd have to like hurry and they put a the tiniest child's helmet on you, and it was still loose. What's going on? Small

head. Oh, okay. No kidding. Figured that out. Okay. He hands me this big old helmet. He's

like, Why don't you give this one a try? And I went, Chase, who is a liar. Why? Because Chase was our uh flight instructor. On the third go round, he said, okay, for 10 extra dollars, we can take you a little bit higher. And I said, No, no, no, no, no. It's

too scary. And he said, No, no, no, it's so awesome. And you're only gonna go as far as this blue line, which was probably about like 10 feet. And he's like, We'll take you, we'll just take you to that blue line. He

took you higher than that. And I go, yeah. I go, Are you gonna be there the whole time? Or am I gonna be flying solo in there? And he's like, No, I'll be there, I'll be there. He took me higher than that blue line. Yes,

he's you little liar. I'm glad though, because I wouldn't have said yes. Yeah. And I'm glad that I did. Yeah, me too. It

was fun. I mean, he he holds on to you. You start spinning around, and then you are like gone. Like, where are we going? It's so hot. high.

It's so fun. It was very, very funny. I just couldn't even like after it was over. I just kept smiling the whole time. I

was like, that was so funny. So we were, you know, in the sort of free fall, uh, if you will, because we don't have parachute on. So you're in that wind tunnel simulating a free fall skydive for you know 40 to 60 seconds, uh, which is the similar amount of free fall time you have when you jump out of an airplane. It

goes by fast. And then you would open your parachute and you would slowly uh descend down to Earth uh if you were actually jumping out of airplane. And and once the chute opens, everything kind of slows down and you get to spend that time, you know, sort of whatever. Now, if you spend more time in the free fall, that's probably bad news. So

I did like doing it indoor where it felt a little more control and I didn't have to worry about is the parachute going to open. Right. Yeah. And

Jace was there, like holding on to me so I didn't fly away. Now, if we would have gone and done a full on skydive out of an airplane where you're tandem to a person, you wouldn't do it? No. No. Would

you? No. No. No, no. No, no, no. No.

That's a perfectly good airplane. Why am I jumping out? And imagine you have your goggle issue on that. I know. Can you even? And my helmet? Yeah. And my mouth couldn't even stay close. I

was like, get out of here. Can do it. It would be a right. a riot. Controlled Only. Yeah. Anyway, kind of fun. Uh so anyway, it was it was cool. It ended up being a really fun time. And now you are uh up to bat for date night. I'm

sorry. I feel like I have planned a lot of the date nights. You've got one under your belt. It

was a good one, though. All right. I'll plan a date. I'll

do everything. Oh, whatever. I have a picture of you that's a brand new picture. And you look like a little kid. You look so happy. And it's just cake. You

settle down. It's not just cake. It's cake on fire. Never seen anything like that. To be fair, the cake isn't on fire, but there is a firework in the cake. That

is true. The cake was delicious. It was awesome. We were celebrating. We

went to dinner and we're celebrating. And uh we get toward the end of our uh meal, and uh they wheel out a bubble machine that blows uh bubbles that have fog in them, like uh like a fog machine. So when they pop, they go, and that's kind of fun. Did they have a fog machine? Where did those bubbles come from? So they wheeled that out and they plugged it in and and a couple of bubbles went floating by, and it was like, oh, cool, that's neat. And I I was like, that's maybe they're getting ready to have like a dance party. I don't know what they're doing in here. This

is crazy. I didn't see them wheel that out. I didn't know where the bubbles came from. Over by the speakers. There were speakers there. Yeah,

it was loud. There was music playing. There was music playing, okay. And where the music was coming from, that's where the bubble machine was. Okay. I

did not see the bubbles. Yeah, and so that was fun. That was exciting. And then a few seconds later, here they come walking out with a big cake with fire coming out of it. And it had like uh like a firework sparkler thing uh sticking out of the top of the cake, shooting fire three feet in the air. It

was awesome. Yeah, they set that on the table and then they had the bubbles going. I was like, what is happening? The loud music, and there's all these people that work there, they were there to celebrate the anniversary and I were having. It

was so cool. So yeah, the picture. I'm fascinated by fire and bubbles filled with smoke. And so yeah, I look like I'm four. You're just like your hands are like kind of up in the air like this, and you're like, yeah, I'm so happy. Never seen anything like that before. It

was super cool, super fun. Yeah. I didn't know that was a thing. I'm looking at the picture right now. Now you took another picture. Yeah. That doesn't look like I'm four. No,

but the one of you looking like you're four is the best one. It's gonna look in all those bubbles. You can see there's a couple bubbles in the picture. They don't have smoke in them, though. Those ones don't. That's weird. When

you popped them, they had smoke in them. Well, those ones clearly don't. Anyway, it's really fun. Uh, and I was not expecting to have fire coming out of a cake at dinner. That was a cool surprise. Yeah, and I pulled the fire out at one point, and I go, oh, that's hot. Yeah,

you think it was just on fire. That's exactly what you said. Yeah. Yeah. It was just on fire. Anyway,

I've never had cake on fire before. That was cool. I would like that every birthday. That wasn't even a birthday. No,

I know. It was an anniversary. Yeah, but every celebration. Hey, guess what? Cake is usually on fire for your. Don't like that. That was something else. That was like an extreme cake. Also, I thought Utah Bandfire works where they were putting them in cake. Oh, yeah. Utah. What

are you doing? You have a nickname. No, I don't. Yes,

you do. Uh, I gave you this nickname a couple of years ago, and you didn't care for it too much, but I thought it was hilarious. And I told our friends to call you that, and then they called you that, and you were like, that's not my nickname. No one calls me that. Uh no one calls me that. And

you're gonna say it, and then people are gonna call me that, and then I'm gonna have to deal with that. I know. And I don't want to. I don't want to deal with that. But Josh, it's a really good nickname. Josh

the pistol. No, it's not. It's good. It's

fast. It wasn't even the pistol. It was just pistol. You were like, oh, what's up? Pistol?

And I went, that's not my name. Yeah, sharp shooter. No one calls me that. Pew

pew. And then last night you told Emory's boyfriend to call me that. So he goes, hey, pistol. Did

you see that cool car that just drove by? And I went, no one calls me that. Everyone calls you that. No.

Something you made up. Years ago, by the way. I know. I didn't even tell him that. I think somebody else told him that because he came up to me, Emery's boyfriend came up to me and said, hey, I was thinking, like on the way home when we go home, that I'll just say, whoa, pistol. Did

you see that cool car? He laughed and laughed and laughed. I said, please, please, please, please, please. So I pulled over and kicked him out. You did not You do not. But you did turn very slowly as you were driving. Yeah.

And looked at me in the passenger seat and just went. Just shook your head. I can't believe you. I didn't even tell him. No, but you were in on it. I was in on it. And it was amazing. Best five minutes of the whole night. Oh, it's so funny. I love when people call you that nickname. That doesn't even make sense. It

does too make sense. You're fast. You're fast runner. Yeah. I'm a fast runner. Yeah.

When's the last time you saw me run? You ran cross-country in high school. When

is the last time you saw me run? This name makes no sense. Hey, pistol. What's up? Oh, buddy. It makes me laugh. I'm

so happy. I don't even own a gun. I know. I know. This

makes no sense. Josh the pistol. No. Hey, have you guys seen Josh the pistol around here? No one has seen it. Everyone says, nah, he's too fast. No,

never heard that guy. Because it's not a thing. It is absolutely a thing. If you see Josh around town today. No. Make

sure you call him. What's that? Pistol? No. Come

on. I won't answer to it. No one calls me that. It's a good nickname. Why don't you like it? There's

way better names. Like. Anything else. No. Why that? No. That

is the best one. Like, I'm just going to call you shoes. Okay. Yeah, okay. What's wrong with that? No, it makes no sense. Well. Shoes tell. Dumb. You're not going to pick it out nicknames like I am. Oh,

okay. You see Chantel around. Make sure you go, hey, you shoes. Actually, I would like that because I have great shoes. So if that were my nickname, I would be so happy. What's up? Shoes?

I'd be like, you know my nickname. You just want a nickname. Yeah,

I kinda. You would accept anything. I would be tickled pink if someone called me pistol. You would. Yeah. Then you have it. Okay. Awesome.

Hey, would you rather this or that? Would you rather always know when your spouse is joking or always know when they're annoyed? I

feel like I know both pretty good. Uh do you do I ever miss when you're annoyed? I don't think I do. I think I'm pretty good at reading. Well, good, because I lay it on pretty thick. Yeah,

no, I know. So if you were not knowing when I was annoyed, then I'd be like, uh we got a problem. Yeah, no, I can pick up what you're putting down, is what I'm saying. Like

I can I can read it pretty good. Do you always know when I'm joking? I think so. I feel like I'm pretty good at knowing like when you're is there a good example of when I've like missed it? No.

Like I think like really, really early on when I didn't know you that well. I probably missed a couple of cues. Yeah.

But I think I know you pretty good after like we've been together for 23 years. I'm pretty sure I got a pretty good beat on you. You go. I think I know. Yeah, you're pretty good at deciphering. Yeah.

I don't feel like you have to go like, no, see, I was joking. I go, like, come on now. Okay. Well. So I don't really know which to pick. It's

tough for me to pick. Would I read it to me again? Always know when your spouse is joking, or always know when they're annoyed. I wish that I didn't know when you were annoyed. Just because it would be annoying. If you were already annoyed and I was like, I don't know what's wrong with her. You'd be like, are you serious? I feel like that'd be a little fun. I feel like you do that anyway. What? No.

I I maybe do that intentionally because it's annoying. But if I legitimately didn't know that you were annoyed, like I think you would be over the top. You'd be like, are you serious? I

would absolutely be fun. I'm gonna pick that one. What are you picking? I don't know. Because I feel like I got a pretty good handle on you, too. Like I feel like I know when you're joking. I feel like I know when I don't know. Yeah, I know when you're annoyed. You're

not necessary. You don't ever get really annoyed. You just get quiet. You just need some quiet time. And then you just kind of sit there quietly. Yeah.

And then everybody asks me, what's the matter with Josh? I go, I don't know. Ask

him. Yeah, dare you. What's wrong with you? Are

you serious right now? You're asking me what's wrong with me right now. And then I have to be the middleman and be like, everyone's asking if you're annoyed. And you're like, I'm not annoyed. I'm just quiet. And then I go back and I say, he's not annoyed, he's just quiet. And they go, no, something's up. Something's

matter with him. And then I go back and I go, everyone thinks you're mad. And then I have to pay play this dumb middle man. I'll go, well, tell your sister to quit being annoying. You're like, I can't. She'll

be all mad. Stupid. I'd rather just know. Hmm. I don't know. This is a weird one. Who picked this one? I don't know. Would

you rather this or that? I like to uh click around on YouTube early in the morning because there's new videos that pop up, and I like to see like uh when a new movie trailer comes out or whatever, and there were a couple uh this morning. I want to talk about dug out dad. Uh it's not a movie, it's an upcoming nine-episode comedy television series that will be on YouTube. Uh

it is reuniting several cast members from the sand lot. Several? Yeah. I only saw the one. Oh, you you saw Ham, but there's a bunch in here. Oh, I didn't know. So

Ham is in there uh as uh one of the coach. Um uh Danielle Fischel is in there, which uh she is she wasn't in the sandlot. No, I know, but she's Topanga from Boy Meets World. Right. And

she is uh is in there. Um uh Tom, how do you say his last name? Gori, uh Chauncey uh Leopardi, Marty York, Brandon Quentin Adams, and Victor Dimashia are all reuniting. Um they were all in the Sam Lot. Yes. Yep. How do you feel about it? Okay, here's the thing. It's made this is uh made for YouTube. And

that's because it it feels like it couldn't necessarily go beyond that. I do like Patrick Renna. Um I think he's great. He's ham. Okay. Uh the curly headed kid in the Sam. Yes,

that's right. Uh, and I do like him. I think he's a like I I follow him on TikTok and stuff. He's a good dude. Yeah.

Like I said, he's kind of a cute little dad, isn't he? Yeah, I like I like him like on a personal level. I

think he's a good dude. And so uh I'm excited to see him doing some stuff beyond ladybugs. Uh or whatever that other soccer movie he did was. Uh I don't know if it was Ladybugs or another one. Uh,

but anyway, I yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. I don't think it was. Ladybugs was uh, wasn't that the one where the had Rodney Dangerville did it? Ladybugs

did? Yeah. And it, but it was the story was that the uh the girl on the team, like her twin brother had to fill in for her or something. Oh

yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think I might have my soccer movies backwards. I can't remember which one is which. But the big green. The big green. That was the ladybugs is the one I was thinking about. He was also the little brother and son-in-law, which I always forget about. That's right. Okay.

Anyways, dugout dads. They're they're uh they're all playing like coaches of different little league teams, and uh, or or collectively are coaching a little league team. So it's back in the baseball world, and it's uh it's the cast, a bunch of the cast from the Sandlot. Um,

and I'm sure it's gonna be filled with little Easter egg cameos and and fun little things like that. So I like it at face value for what it is. It looks a little like a hockey like a little low budget. It looks a little low budget, it looks like um like cheap jokes. Yeah, it looks like they used a couple of the the jokes from Sandlot, like you see in the in the overly long trailer. Uh, you see a lot of the punchlines, including Ham saying play ball and kind of his voice cracking a little bit like he did in Sandlot. He's

he's playing a catcher at one point and he looks like he's wearing the same catcher thing that he had in the quote unquote 50s when that when the sandlot was set, but then the timeline is a little bit weird because if he was a kid in the 50s and now he's like a 40-year-old, the math doesn't math right. Yeah, I just I think I'm gonna skip that one. You think so? I am I mean it's nine episodes, it'll be on YouTube. I

don't know when it premieres. Uh but anyway, I think it's I think it's interesting. I think it's kind of a a fun concept. The other one looks really good. Uh it is a new Ebenezer, a Christmas Carol. Uh comes out in November, November 13th in theaters. Johnny

Depp is Ebenezer Scrooge. It looks a little creepy. That one looks a little bit. I

kind of think it looks good. The director is Ty West. He is a uh horror film director. It's

what he's known for. Uh Rupert Grint. Ron Weasley. Ron Weasley is Bob Cratchett. Ian McKellen is Marley. I love Ian McKellen. Marley.

But he's gonna be really good at that role. Daisy Ridley is in this. Who plays Tiny Tim? Uh

does not say. Surprise. A surprise, Tiny Tim. I think the trailer looks really good for this. I think Johnny Depp looks great as Ebenezer Scrooge. Uh he's he's having fun with the role, which I think is really good. The trailer looks exceptional. I'm really excited for this one. Yeah, comes out November 13th. So there's uh there's kind of a cool idea that's cute and fun and maybe a fun watch. And then there's a very good looking scary Ebenezer Scrooge movie. So new things I found on YouTube this morning. Congrats.

I try to look there. I look there for ideas and things to talk about from time to time. Anyway, let's wrap up today's show. Hope you have a great rest of your Monday. We're here all week, but guess what? What? Not next week. Correct.
